This place is so fun! Such a unique and cool vibe… kind of a hole in the wall but then you step in and it feels like a whole different world! Still a bar, but with some magic! There’s a cute little outdoor patio in the back too. The awesomeness is SO yummy and there’s something for everyone here.

Mike’s got a real gem here. A huge Saints fan who opens up the upstairs for Louisiana transplants to enjoy the game together. Don’t come looking for the red zone channel… This is Saints territory.The downstairs bar has a great selection of local and craft beers as well as plenty of whiskey choices to warm you up on a cold DC evening. Step in and have a few in a local favorite.

I love this bar. I have had so many good nights here and have met so many strangers who became friends here. Anytime I have family or a friend in town and I want to go to a chill bar this is where I take them. I feel safe and welcome in this bar. Love the selection of beers and that they have a frozen alcoholic beverage available.

Its a dive bar with a lovely bar and dancefloor upstairs. i love their music selection. i will definitely go back. there was great vibe.

This place was okay. They tried to go for a New Orleans feel, it kinda comes off as a cluttered, teenagers room who is not 50 and lives with his parents still. Nice folks that work there. No beers on tap only can and bottle which is fine leaves room to change out beers. They have a pretty nice selection still. If you plan to use your card know theres a $10 minimum or theres an ATM in the corner. Enjoy the vaulted ceiling in the bathroom. And theres stairs to go to the rooftop and I believe live music on Thursday nights. Fun place. But I dont see myself going back anytime soon.Edit: multiple people describe this as new Orleans feeling bar in previous comments and multiple people say cash only, and in any pictures I see....I see no 100+ selection of beers. Possibly the owner should post some pictures of their own so their customers dont have to be clued in after the fact. (: cheers!

Kind of dark and dive-y but if you’re into that vibe I’d say go for it. The cheapo whiskey flight is cool - The Awesomeness is dangerous. I like the patio. The dance floor was mad crowded, some girl was rubbing her butt on me, some other girl was begging my bf to dance with her but we successfully gave her our friend Mark instead. Now you know.

I have always loved this place and last night was another reminder why. It has a great vibe and fun bartenders. The employees have the capacity to identify and assess situations before they escalate and respond immediately, appropriately and without judgement.Little miss whiskeys is a fun and most importantly safe place to drink.

Nice little place. HUGE beer selection which is awesome for picky drinkers like myself. I usually come on Saturdays for the DJ sets upstairs which are very fun, but sometimes can get cramped (again due to the little space), especially when the younger crowd comes in. However, its pretty manageable, and if you need some space you can always go downstairs and they have a little outside space that is sometimes open. Great place good times and good vibes!

Awesome decor, fun and eclectic bar with a great bar staff. Bathrooms were nice and clean, felt like a safe comfortable place. Beer selection is amazing and solid liquor selection. Great place to take friends for a good time.

Went on a rainy Friday night and it wasn’t too crowded. The majority of people were dancing and having a great time.DJ played songs we all knew and took requests.

Incredible bar with a huge drink menu and a great dance floor upstairs. Generally very busy on the weekends, but always exceeds expectations. I’d say this is the best place to go for a night out on H st. And the DJs there are often incredible.

A great little place that you might miss if youre not specifically looking for it! Its the one with the purple lights. A bar downstairs and a dance floor upstairs after 10:00. We mostly hung in the bar. They have a great beer list and of course a good whiskey selection. If you like your drinks fruity and frozen do try The Awesomeness. Its delicious and strong. The bartenders are friendly and chatty(if you want to chat), especially if you go in early before it gets really busy. Not that they stop being friendly after it gets busy, they just have less time to chat of course! It also seems to be a little haven for queer people in the neighborhood so while there are plenty of cishet couples that come in I also felt happily enough surrounded by my own people to let my guard down a little. Great bar. Oh, and it was very sparkly, and I do love sparkles!

Love this place! It’s definitely my go-to for a drink with friends my neighborhood. I love sitting on the patio area and upstairs on the patio to have conversations and a chill vibe. Then the inside for a loud club-type atmosphere. Best of both worlds!

Lil Miss Whiskeys is an artfully crafted dive, with a lot of cult and noise design that makes the place eerie and fun. The best selection is pretty rad and the bartenders are dedicated to the craft in truly understanding whats on the menu. Aside from the ambience and service, the place also has a fun nightlife, where people can dance and the music played is usually universal to the crowd. One of my favorite spots on H.

It’s hard not to love this bar. The staff is legit. The patrons aren’t drunk college kids. Good beer selection. It’s a very chill atmosphere. I’d put it in my top five for laid back DC bars. No coors light. 😂

Its ok. Kind of a dive bar (1st floor) mixed with a trashy dance floor (2nd floor) to give you the best of two separate worlds? It was odd. I was uncomfortable on the dance floor as it was tiny and horribly designed. The bar on the first floor was a lot more tolerable but again, it was a dive.

The bar has a dreamy NOLA feel with really cool lighting and immaculate art on the walls. The beer selection is incredible and new stuff is coming in all the time. Upstairs there are great DJs that play dance music and the place can really get going on the weekends. There is a back patio with bamboo and a deck upstairs in the tree canopy. A must stop for DC nightlife... Oh! They have Saints Games on Sunday and crawfish boils (ticketed event) in the spring.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The bartender was very friendly and generous with the drinks he was pouring me and my friends. The bar only takes cash, they have an ATM so you will be able to get your drinks. A little hidden away, its a cute place that is nice to have a few drinks at the start of your evening.

Love this place! Great place to go out at night but definitely can get crowded. Music is always fantastic and the drinks are good! The DJ is in a space ship looking thing that’s really neat and it’s decorated super cool!

Ellis the owner is so respectful, a guy was touching me and trying to start a fight with me and my partner, I quickly grabbed security to inform them. Ellis moved quickly, respectfully and removed the belligerent patron constantly checking in on me and make sure we felt safe and comfortable. I will be back family 🥰

This place was great! The second level is more hip hop and current jams, the scene is definitely more younger and it was a good time overall! The first level was definitely a more older scene and rock music, which I dont mind but that night I wanted to jam out.

This is one of the first bars I went to when I moved to the area. I absolutely love this bar. The play great music and its always a dance party. The atmosphere is fun and eclectic, as well. Cash bar only, and a ton of beer choices. The special slushie drink is DELICIOUS (very peachy).

Ive been once to Little Miss Whiskey with a few friends who love a good, non-pretentious bar. Little Miss Whiskey is a bar in between a dive bar and a very eclectic bar. Its very dark inside, but they have a back room that seems a little mystical. On top of that, they have a no-frills beer list that includes hard cider. If you want to escape the DC suit scene, go here for a non-threatening environment where you can just be yourself. If youre looking for a date spot, I wouldnt lead with this place. :)

Went here at the end of NYE after our other venue closed.It was nice and friendly and the staff were quick to serve.Its also great they setup water jugs away from the bar so you can grab water whenever you want without having to queue which is great at the end of a night especially on NYE.

Normally good personalized service and hospitality.Recently. Bartenders are sub par, drunk, drinking, and doing shots with each other while ignoring patrons and their needs.Staff has been inebriated recently and unable to give any type of customer service, much less take orders and mix drinks appropriately.The bare minimum requirement of a bartender is that they can pour a drink. They are so drunk, they cant. Go somewhere else.....anywhere else.

Little Miss Whiskeys has the best drink prices in town, which completely makes up for their cash only policy. Its fairly small/medium in size with a dance floor that gets down (and crowded) at night and a nice patio outside in the back. This place is an original hipster that keeps it real on historic H Street.

A must stop when partying on H street. Unique decor and lighting. Their drink called the Awesomeness will make you dance on the second floor club scene with a DJ. First floor is a normal bar. Two level outdoor back area.

This joint is like a New Orleans metal bar. Ive been here to watch Saints games, and Ive been here to see one of the dudes from the Cure dj some Bauhaus. It used to be cash only, but isnt any more, and beer is bottles and cans. They also have some hurricane machines when you are in that mood. Always a great time here.

This place is very unique! From the bar to the bbq in the back. So delicious! I would recommend the Pecan smoked brisket with the apple bbq sauce. And for the drink, the awesomeness is really really good. You wont be disappointed. Oh and the description of it is quite hilarious.

Little Miss Whiskeys is definitely one of my favorite bars in DC - its cheap, the staff are friendly, theres a terrific new outdoor space, the DJ is usually fantastic, and the dance floor is always fun (even when extremely crowded). Its perfectly located on the H St corridor, and is stumbling distance to other bars and some great late night food options (including dangerously delicious pies and &pizza - yum!).

If you like dives, youll love Little Miss Whiskeys. Cash only so make sure to hit the ATM. Dont order a fancy drink, cans of beer or basic G&Ts are pretty cheap but anything fancier wont be good. Upstairs, theres usually music and at night, it becomes a dance floor. Its always pretty dark and has a cool Adams family-esque vibe.

Cool place but the bartenders seem to charge prices that are different than whats listed on the menu, which either means they are disorganized or just blatantly trying to upcharge patrons. Not very pleasant.

Went in to have the Awesome drink that I had before when I came with my boyfriend. This time I was the first customer, after about 20 minutes more people showed up who I deduced were “regulars”. They were loud and rude insinuating my sexual orientation and being loud enough to where I could hear the BARTENDER and the PATRON discussing my gender and race. WHO DOES THAT? When my friend arrived she had to flag the bartender down because she was so enthralled in the conversation she was having with her regulars she didn’t even notice my friend waiting to order a drink - she ultimately didn’t get one and we left to go to Smith Commons to spend our money. This experience is something I will be letting more people know about. Disgusting. I’m mad I even tipped her.

My favorite place to have a few beers with friends in DC. An amazing beer list, knowledgeable staff, and a decor unlike pretty much anything else in town. Fairly regular special events like DJs, BBQs, and crawfish boils just add to the good times.

Nicely priced drinks with a pretty broad selection and the staff is always great. Honestly my biggest complaint is they crank the music too loud on the first floor later in the evening, which kinda kills any ability to chat with folks.

The atmosphere of Little Miss Whiskeys over shines the shade term Dive bar. This establishment was created with others in mind and that can be seen written on every wall. Its truly a diamond in the ruff.

We went on a Saturday and got there a bit early and were able to talk to the bartender a bit - I’m so glad we got there before it got packed. Great selection and the bartender was great at suggesting a couple of new whiskeys since I wanted to try something different than the ole’ Jack & Coke.

This place has a check in offer, and i thought i was being savvy and saving money with checking in... NOPE. lolthe check in offer is for 8 dollar awesomeness... which is the normal price. man... after finding out it was the same price i didnt feel special anymore. :(we got 1 awesomeness and 1 whiskey sour for about 14 bucks? very cheap for bar drinks.the awesomeness is some sort of alcoholic slushy that is yellow in color. remember when your mom told you not to eat or touch yellow snow, well, this is the only exception... so drink up buddy.the alcohol content was kinda weak, so its supposed to be more of a drink to chill over and chat with friends with. not something you want to drink to turn up / get drunk.be careful though... itll cause a nasty brain freeze when drunk too fast. i felt paralyzed for a few seconds after it hit my head. very painful.there is a dance floor upstairs and another bar. they were mainly playing hip-hop.i smelled rotten fish in the middle of the dance floor, weird i know... so i dont know if someone needed to take a shower or if they used this place for a sushi dinner the night prior.

Security tried to make me stand in the pouring rain while I waited for my taxi. Said I was blocking the entrance, which I wasn’t, and not one person even arrived while I was waiting. Plus there are rats out in the back patio. Not pleasant.

The Bar is excellent choice to have fun with friends! It has great song collection and awesome sound system. The venues decor is really well organized.

Hot + stuffy (at least during the warmer months) and oft overcrowded...but its typically a lively and lovely crowd youll run into here. The back patio area is quite nice.

Went to kiss kiss ban bang. Stick around, it gets better! The bar tender is nice. If you went to dance and enjoy, by the end of the night you do find yourself dancing.

The only thing wrong with this place is the cash only bar. It is a cool atmosphere. The back patio is unique and fun. The dance floor upstairs is what late nights of dancing are for.

Best bar in D.C. Wishing hard it were in New Orleans, but, eh, whatchagonnado?? (My wish? Theirs?? Who knows????) If you hate this bar, you dont belong there anyways; its a waste of breath complaining. Get over it and go play mini golf down the street.

Cool little spot on a historic neighborhood. Its opposite of a famous chilli and hotdog place in DC. Its kinda tucked away so might be hard to spot from a moving car. Gets pretty busy on weekends.

Dance floor is...Very small. Like, very, very small BUT it was pretty cool. Zwack shot was like $6, but effective. Dress light, its hot upstairs.
