Ive wanted to visit here for years and am so glad I finally did. It was a very memorable experience. The bartenders were fast and friendly and the bar is very large and would be even more expansive had the upstairs been open. It had the feel an eagle should have: dark, seedy, friendly, welcoming. The patrons are generally a dead giveaway about the community no matter what night you go and having went on a Saturday night I can say I was extremely impressed with the variety of men and hospitality I experienced. There seems to be ample parking as well and there was someone I believe was security monitoring the lot as well.My only complaint would be the astronomical mark up on liquor. Charging $10 for 1.25 oz of Jägermeister is beyond obnixous and Im pretty sure I paid less at even the NYC Eagle, hell even an airport bar is less expensive for cocktails and beer than this Eagle was.The experience was one of a kind and the bar tab I received was as well. I could easily have spent more time here had I not felt borderline ripped off.Id suggest beginning your night probably literally anywhere else before visiting here if having some serious drinks is your game plan. This is definitely a place I would become a regular if I lived in the area..Thanks for keeping the 🦅 alive.

My boyfriend and I checked it out for the first time last night and we had a blast. This is a real eagle, with a heavy pour, good music, and an easygoing atmosphere. Only problem is the parking situation totally gave me Ebola - totally not the business. Also didn’t feel very safe parking a few blocks away, but DC is expensive so I get it. I recommend the nearby Metro.

Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Great new location and space. Cant wait for the cigar bar and dance floor to open. Once completed, the DC Eagle will be one of the best, if not the best, leather bars in the U.S.

Staff was friendly and drink prices decent. The neighborhood is a little creepy, and the parking lot hard to get into if you dont know exactly where you are going - some way-finding would be ideal for new visitors. We were surprised at how few people there were at such a popular place.

Ratchet Level: MediumCover: $30Music: Hip-Hop/RnBNot sure if this place has any relation to “Eagle” the new gay bar in Baltimore (which I also did a review for this weekend) but welcome to DC Eagle. The venue is in the cut and parking is weird. We parked in the plaza in front which has a gate so you have to walk around and come down a dirt path next to a freeway bridge. I’m not sure if it is closer parking to be honest. There was two entrances. The bottom floor seemed to have more of a white gay event going on and all the minorities were going to the right which lead upstairs. The cover charge was $30 cash/credit. That is a bit much even for DC. Regardless we entered and had to go up two stories of stairs which both had a patio. No one was outside, but the rainbow lights which lit up the walls sort of like a gay Bat-signal. The theme in the inside what I would describe as warehouse. The grungy rave type of look. The restroom was dirty. There is a small stage with a DJ at the top. One bar in the right with extremely overpriced drinks and an open dance floor. Everything here was over priced. I only pay this much at pride events. Overall it was cute. The place was no where near packed in a Saturday night. I blame the cover charge and customer service honestly. Go here as a last resort, but you’ll have more fun at Secrets or Fireplace. More reviews from your favorite international club critic; Shamel Jones.

Really had a good time; always like Eagle in different cities. Was going to give higher start rating. However, 1 star for suspicious credit charges that were not made by me when monthly banking report was reviewed. Visitors like me, 2 words for you: Be Careful!!!Update: Owner reached out and I appreciated the efforts. Changed my star rating. But, I would still recommend visitors to use cash instead of cards to avoid surprising charges.

My husband and I had an horrible experience our first night at this establishment. There are no locks on the bathroom doors. Unfortunately, I had to go... so, I had my husband watch the door while I went. One of the security personnel pushed my husband out of the way and burst through the door, obviously thinking people were having sex or doing drugs or whatever in the bathroom. To his disappointment, he found me. I was mortified. Humilated and embarrassed, my husband I left immediately. We will no be going back.Im pretty sure not having locks on bathroom doors is a violation of some D.C. regulation, so Ill be sure to report this incident to the proper authorities.

Ive been to the Eagle for Distrkt C and let me tell you, it was an experience.... tarps covering portions of the building, backed up bathrooms, and, by the end of the night, the establishment has a well known tradition of shutting off the water to the bathrooms. Yes, you read that right, the water to both the toilets and the sinks. And this was not the first time that an inconvenience such as this occurred, as verified by friends who have attended Distrikt C events in the past. Unless youre into that, which, guess what, Im not, it is not a pleasant experience, for the eyes and nose alike. If you are unable to anticipate/accommodate such large crowds, you SHOULD NOT hold events such as this at your venue, period!

A fun place and super casual. Not really able to manage the events at all, no real mgmt visible during MAL or any other event.Good for a loose dive bar, bad for a grownup drink.

Never again. Didnt have leather so we were not allowed in the main bar. The door man said a leather belt and boots are ok. 6 of us walked never to return. Apparently they dont need the business. Hello saloon..

Creepy af looking in there but had a decent time ...I had an issue at the bar with the watered down bottles like you would have to be drunk already to not realize that you are drinking water instead of liquor then when I confronted the manager and the bartender they said they would not serve me no more that night .. I was real professional about the situation they clearly got mad because a bubble was bursted it is illegal to water down liquor and then you serve it with flat room temperature sodas 👎🏻
