So this place is just so amazing. Nahila has the hands of a goddess! I have gotten my fair share of massages and her knowledge of like pressure points and how to massage is VERY CLEAR. She was doing exactly what was needed. She’s amazing and honestly I wanted to propose to her by the end because that’s how much joy she brought me. Messaging is also transferable energy and you NAHILA are filled with the great energy and I’m so appreciative. I will definitely be back.

I scheduled an impromptu foot massage after my feet were really aching from museum walking all day. I also scheduled a back massage for my husband. Henry & Denesha did an excellent job! My foot arch is very sensitive, so I warned Henry about it, but he managed to thoroughly massage my foot without causing any pain whatsoever. My husband also enjoyed his deep tissue massage on his sore back. If I was rating on just the massage it would be a 5, but I did have a couple of critiques. I booked the couple massage room, but when I arrived the room was in use & I had to wait to receive my massage. That shouldn’t have been the case. I also was not impressed with the aesthetics of the spa. It was a small space and it looked like I had to go down to my grandmas basement to receive the couple massage in the couple massage room. The room was nice, it just wasn’t a good first impression.

I had a trigger point massage with Dynesha today and it was probably the best massage I’ve ever had! My pain has significantly decreased and I feel more relaxed. I will be booking with her again for sure!!!

Fantastic massage!! I decided VERY last-minute to book myself a massage and was so pleased to be able to book so quickly and easily. Got a 60 min deep tissue massage with Terence which was phenomenal! Maybe one of the best massages I have had. I will definitely be back.

All of the therapists I’ve been to there have been great—most recently had an 90 minute deep tissue with Terrrence and Caleb with a friend and we loved it. Their prices are reasonable and they email you a receipt that can be used for FSA reimbursement. Highly recommend!

Had an appointment when I was hit with some awful news that left me heartbroken. Despondent, I was unable to make my massage appointment. This place not only took my deposit (as to be expected), but went ahead and charged me for the full massage I was unable to make, because $65 for no work that they ultimately had to do (and the rest of their day had plenty of other openings so it’s not as if they wasted that time slot), wasn’t enough for them.

I was in Washington DC on business and I stopped in to get a deep tissue message and was pleasantly surprised that Dawn the therapist who provided my service was amazing. I’m always skeptical of getting messages when I’m traveling because more often then not the therapist disappoint me and are certainly not as good as the therapist I use at home.Prior to my massage Dawn was careful to ask specific questions as to what kind of experience I expected as well as questions about areas of my body I wanted her to focus on the most. I told her that most importantly, I wanted to have consistent, firm pressure and unlike most therapists, she was able to meet my expectations. She was spot on with the deep tissue pressure and she checked all the boxes related to the muscle areas that we agreed that she would focus on.Finally, I will be recommending Dawn and Mustard Seed Massage to all of my professional colleagues that will be traveling to the DC area on business. In fact, I’ll be back in DC within the next month and I will be calling to make my appointment for another secession with Dawn for another amazing Massage..

Definitely one of the best massages Ive ever had. I got a deep tissue, and there were some parts that felt like physical therapy, which is exactly what I wanted! Dawn was so great and really listened to my specific needs and request.

I cannot speak to the quality of the massages at this spa because I didnt end up receiving one. My wife and I scheduled a couples massage for Valentines Day weekend. I usually work weekends and took a Saturday off so we could do this together. When I called, I specified that my wife and I would need to have two female masseuses, as she cannot receive a massage from a man due to religious reasons. The employee on the phone assured me that he would change the reservation to two female masseuses after the reservation went through the system.When we arrived for our massage, the woman at the front desk informed me that we had one female and one male masseuse. When I informed her that this would not work for us, she refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and told us she could not remedy the situation. Another employee quickly involved himself and at least expressed his sympathies and proposed potential solutions. Unfortunately, none of them worked for our schedule. We left disappointed, having had to cancel our appointment entirely.

Was visiting DC for business and walked more than my usual. I was in much need of a massage. Henry was AMAZING. Magic hands. He was very professional, worked out lots of knots and left me feeling so relaxed. So glad I decided to find this little stop on my trip.

Can’t recommend this place enough! We had a 60m Swedish/deep/sports massage with Brenda and Dawn. They were very professional and put us at ease straightaway. The massage was thorough and very relaxing. Our only complaint was not booking the 90m session. The front desk was knowledgeable and helpful, and booking was easy online. In DC for work and the hotel bed was making an already sore neck and shoulders worse. I usually look for massages when I travel and I have experienced the gamut. This was one of my top massages. In 45 minutes Calum (sp?) seemed to know exactly where the pain was and what kind of pressure was needed. I drifted off to sleep several times and when it was done, I could have slept right on the table. The space was clean and receptionist was friendly. I will definitely go back when I am in DC again.

I had an amazing walk in experience at Mustard Seed! I called and the receptionist told me they’d be able to see me on the same day, within half an hour. My masseuse was Caleb, who is extremely talented. I had stiffness of the neck and shoulders, and he gave me a very relaxing and therapeutic massage to work out the kinks and knots in my neck. Although it was only half an hour, I felt that I got my full money’s worth for $59. He’s very intuitive and was able to target specific problem areas. I’d definitely go back to see him. Wow!! By far the best massage I have ever had and Ive had a lot. This was only my second in DC. I booked an appointment online only an hour prior and got there a little early. The receptionist was extremely friendly and I was shown to a room right away. The ambience is very nice with dimmed and multicolor lights which was very relaxing. Theres also some ambient music in the background. The massage therapist (Juan I think) met me and instructed me to undress and get under the sheet and then he left the room. This may seem like a small detail but Ive had experiences where they do not instruct me to undress at all or they stay in the room while you undress which just leaves me feeling confused and a little awkward. I booked a 45 minute swedish massage and he asked if I wanted to do the hour since I had a lot of tension. He asked me if I was feeling any discomfort before the massage started and I told him my lower back. He did a good job to get out the knots and checked in on me to make sure the pressure was perfect. Not only did the massage feel amazing but he also didnt leave out anywhere. It really was a full body massage. The hour was $105 which was totally worth it. Ill definitely be back.

Liliana did a terrific job. She has 22 years of experience and its almost immediately evident. I went to this appointment expecting a run-of-the-mill massage - nothing to write home about. Within five minutes I was impressed, and within ten minutes I knew that every time I come back to DC I will be getting a massage from here. A friend of mine had a massage by Jay and had a similar experience. The facility is great. the ambiance is clean, tidy, and calming. She was kind, courteous, and we had a lovely shot chat at the beginning. That said, its Lilianas talent and experience that makes a massage from her transformative. I am aware of how cheesy that sounds, and I absolutely stand by it. Best massage of my life, bar none.

Henry gave me the best massage I’ve ever had. He really knows how to isolate muscles that need to be worked on. He is super attentive to pain points, and his strength and professionalism are 10/10. I have found my local massage go to!

I live in the neighborhood and wanted to give this place a chance but I have been here twice now and both times have received sub-standard massages. I requested a deep tissue and told the therapist before that I like firm pressure. The massage was very light and I requested more pressure but never got it anyways. Very disappointing since this place would have been very convenient for me and I usually get a massage once a month.

Overpriced. It didn’t seem a professional place but they charge you like one. I asked for deep tissue but it was more like a relaxing massage. It was a pleasant, but it’s not what I asked for! Which makes me think they don’t know what it’s deep tissue. Also the music didn’t match with a massage place, very much like a 80s disco and the extreme hot towel at the end it’s just an unhappy ending😅 I wouldn’t recommend.

I have been shopping around for the right place, the right bodywork and I definitely found it. I went to the M ST location and found the space and the quality of massage to be so different than I had experienced before. The room was large, peaceful and relaxing. The table was heated. The therapist wanted to know what I was looking for from body work and we talked in some detail for 10-15 minutes. It was clear how intuitive he was and how he understood what I was looking for holistically, not just physically. I spent 90 minutes getting the best massage and bodywork I have ever experienced. Intuitive, strong, gentle, confident, just perfect. I got off the table and was a bit disoriented, and my body felt very different, sore in new places, pain gone in others, I knew I would need a lot of water and a hot bath because a lot of things moved and shifted for sure! This was not your typical retail massage. It was personal and individualized. Magical even.

Probably the worst massage I’ve ever had! If you like tons of oil (that the therapist never bothered to rub off) or lazy rubbing all over your body with no real focus or balance then this is your spot. If not avoid at all costs because the therapists (at least the one I had) was a total amateur at best. :(

Mustard Seed is a wonderful and relaxing massage place. Prices are up there, but the massage justifies the price. My masseuse is Caleb, who is thoughtful and carefully addresses troubled areas for maximum results after a massage. The attention to detail has been great. I’ve yet to try the other therapists yet, but I’ve heard great things too. Thank you, Caleb, for your hard work helping me fix my lower back issues!

As a massage therapist myself, its hard to find someone that really gets my body. I tried so many places before discovering Mustard Seed. Terence is just awesome. Ive been going to him for months now and cant tell you all how wonderful his massage is.

I loved this place. Super chill vibe and I had the fortunate pleasure of receiving a massage from Nicole. Im and big guy 6 230 that still competes athletically. Ive had a neck herniation and chiropractic deep deep tissue work for spinal realignment for many yrs. So I know good work. She was phenomenal and my head is over my neck in one treatment. Her energy is off the charts. My mind is clear and my heart is rejuvenated . My friend got a massage from another masseuse and said his was fantastic too. Man... what else is possible?

I got my first massage at Mustard Seed yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! It was by far the best massage that I’ve ever received. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the space is aesthetically pleasing. The lobby area is beautiful. They are very professional and very hospitable. Terrence accommodated me at the very last minute. He has the hands of a god. He is very attentive to the body and knows what he is doing. He was very thorough. I am now a regular customer.

We just enjoyed an amazing couple’s massage. Caleb and Xavier were both fantastic, and it is rare for both my husband and me to be so satisfied with our experiences. If we weren’t just visiting DC, we’d make it our consistent pleasure to book with them!

This was my first time receiving a professional massage. When I say horrible experience ,it was that. My back is killing me!!!! I went there with no back problems and now I am in serious pain. The masseuse applied so much pressure I felt like he was fighting me and kicking my behind. Not relaxing at all I would never return to this establishment nor recommend anyone to go there. I’m unsure how this place has almost a 5 star review, they must be from family and friends. The other reviews are correct this place is very rough on your body. Save your money and go some place else. I am now out of 220$ and have to go to another place to correct my pain. The guy name was Stan do not let him touch you he will apply all of his weight on your back

I booked a massage and was connected with Stan. Hands down, this was the best massage I’ve ever had. Stan was in tune with the massage and it didn’t feel “rushed” like other experiences. I had a severe muscle spasm in my neck several months ago which I am still experiencing residual pain. I didn’t mention it to Stan. However, he found that area and was able to get those kinks out. My neck hasn’t felt this good in months and I slept so well after the massage. Thank you so much. I’m very grateful!

Last weekend I booked two massages with Mustard Seed to celebrate a friends birthday. My friend has back problems and regularly receives massages without pain, however it requires her masseuse to be mindful of focusing on the areas that she specifies, and at the pressure she specifies - she asked her masseuse at Mustard Seed to adjust their pressure and area three times, to be ignored each time. After fifteen minutes, she was in enough pain that she ended her massage.I have no back problems, and completed my massage, but did feel a few moments of pain throughout my massage, especially when my masseuse applied a lot of pressure along my spine. The pain was not enough to make me end my massage, and most of the massage was quite pleasant. However the next day I had bruises along my back, and two days after the massage my neck was in such pain that I couldnt fully move my head in any direction.Of the two masseuses we encountered here, I would imagine they simply need more training. My masseuse and the check in staff were respectful and considerate, however we would not return here, and I would recommend looking elsewhere for your own massage. While we both left with temporary pain, I am concerned that others may leave with more serious pain.

It was excruciatingly painful and now I cant sleep because my shoulder and back are in so much pain. Also at one point he put an absolutely scalding hot towel underneath my neck. I think the masseuse could tell that I was uncomfortable because I was tensing up and squirming but he made no effort to adjust his technique. I should have followed my instincts and stopped the massage after the first 5 minutes.

I took my mom on vacation. We enjoyed a full day at the Museum of the Bible. Afterwards we did a lot of walking to explore DC. I found Mustard Seed online and called in to make an appointment. I expressed that my mom would only be comfortable with a female masseuse and a male for myself. The staff accommodated me were extremely friendly and my mom and I had the best massages ever. This place, the atmosphere and the people are stellar. I would recommend anybody who is traveling in the DC area to enjoy a day at Mustard Seed massage it is the best thing you can do for yourself after a day at the Museum. Five star

The therapist Terence is great and seems to care a lot about his client. the professionalism of people there is grandiose and makes one want to extend your massage time. its also very affordable comparing to other places that Ive visited across the country.strongly recommended.

Juan was excellent. I went in with low back pain and tightness in my muscles. He massaged all of the knots out, took the time to explain why it was tight and what I can do to avoid it in the future. He was so helpful in addition to providing a great massage. I was able to move easier after.

My group really enjoyed their massages, as did I for the most part. I felt like my therapist was digging her nails into my calves for a bit there. I had to communicate with her a few times about the level of pressure. Overall, we all enjoyed it.

It was okay but nothing special, so I dont understand all the great reviews.I think I felt uncomfortable from the beginning as I felt like my massage therapist didnt want to be there based on the conversation I heard her have with the front desk - which was basically that she didnt want another client after me..... although it seemed like she didnt want me either based on how glad she was for me to arrive so she could finish my appointment and be done for the day.A few other things I disliked: the lotion used for the massage smelled like anti bacterial hand gel and made me feel kind of sick, it was loud and I could hear laughing and loud talking during the massage - especially when the music abruptly stopped and the massage itself was okay but no better than any other massage Ive had in the past and Ive had a fair number.

5 plus stars- have been going to Terrence for years, he is always professional, in tune to my body and needs and has provided excellent service each and every time. He is obviously exceptionally knowledgeable about the human body, mechanics, systems etc. His massage technique is spot on for healing, and overall wellness. I highly recommend him. You will not be disappointed.

They had an opening very quickly which worked out very well for me. The room was nicely decorated. The therapist worked on my back fairly well. Somethings I didn’t think he knew how to do very well and when I specifically said that my neck was bothering me he didn’t really do a very good job and didn’t seem very interested in doing it well and seemed annoyed with me. He seemed very interested in telling me how much time was left even though I wasn’t entirely happy with the way the job is being done. I was surprised to see that there wasn’t somebody else doing the checkout. He did spend a little bit of extra time on my neck but he seemed more interested in the next person coming in. I think he needs more experience and I didn’t get a receipt when I paid. And he just left and I chose to tip him anyway in hopes that maybe the next person would get a really good job. I think I was in so much pain that I should’ve asked how much experience the therapist had instead of just taking whoever was available. I think someday he’s going to be a really good therapist.

I literally have nothing but praises for my therapist Dawn!!!! She literally knows exactly what to do when to do it how to do it. She literally needs her own place and I’m surprise her waiting list isn’t 30 days long. I mean come on the woman literally is the GOAT! With that being said, I’ve gotten professional massages in 42 states and three cruise ships !!! She IS IT!!!

After work I wanted a relaxing massage. I get a lot of neck pain so I get a monthly massage. My usual place I go to was unfortunately booked. I forgot to book a few days before like I usually do. I came across Mustard Seed and I thought it was perfect since it’s around the corner from my house. The staff was very pleasant but the massage was a little painful. Considering I booked a Swedish massage I had to ask for less pressure but it was still painful throughout the massage.

My neck had been hurting me for about a week when I went in to see Terence for a 45-minute massage. I had actually never gotten a massage before, so I was a little apprehensive, but Terence was great! He took the time to understand what was bothering me before getting started, checked in multiple times during the massage to see how I was doing, and made sure that we had addressed all problem areas by the end. Would highly recommend!

They don’t provide you plushy robes or designer water, but what they focus on is good massages and good customer service. I appreciate that because I don’t have time for pretentious extras; I just want a good-relaxing massage.I have been seeing Stephen who is beyond amazing. He’s a hard worker and is only focused on providing good service. He doesn’t try to sell me anything, he’s not complicated nor is he chatty. Stephen does his amazing thing— it’s simple yet effective — he applies moist heat to my back and around my neck. He does that a couple of times during my 90 minute massage. And in the end, he puts one of the moist towel over my face and I breathe in the moist heat. It helps my sinuses. It’s brilliant and effective, also a calming finish.Stephen’s technique is great, too. Sometimes I will tell therapists to focus on a part of my body but they end up focusing on things they want to. But not with Stephen. He spent over an hour on my back, focusing on parts I never knew would have an impact.I’ve had massages all over the world. Some massages were in shopping malls, hotel spas and exclusive spa retreats. I’ve even had a three hour massage in Thailand before. Stephen is better. I think it’s his demeanor coupled with his technique. Really superb service.

I love coming here. All the therapist there have worked on me and its hard to choose because they are all so great. Friendly environment and super relaxing when in need for relaxation but what I love most is that they can be very efficient and effective when it comes to the therapeutic part as well. I went there because I had neck pain and a sore shoulder. Tried to squeeze in a massage between work meetings. What can I say? I don’t know where the 5-star ratings come from. I kept telling the therapist where it hurt only for her to focus on other areas and go through her routine. So now I’m back to where I started just without 89 dollars. In addition, I have some white gunk all over my body as this is what she used instead of massage oil. I also had a small wound on my leg from a shaving accident. I told her about it only for her to grab it at the end, opening the wound all over again. I wouldn’t recommend going here.

My therapist was mynai. I was in accident 6 years ago and I wake up with chronic pain and a frozen shoulder. AFTER ONE SESSION the frozen shoulder is gone. I will be definitely coming back to see mynai again!

The price is nice and the front desk people are pleasant. But I was overall rather unimpressed. Id rather go elsewhere and pay more...also the lights were on during the massage? That seems odd to me and there wasnt really soothing music playing.

Ive been going here for years-- this place is a gem. I usually see Charles but have also used other therapists if hes not available. I go every 4-6 weeks for work and maintenance. I get massages every few weeks including when I travle which is frequently and its hard to find a comparable place.

Had a great massage here from Jennaba, probably butchering the spelling, but thats how it sounds. She gave a good sports massage that I really needed to help work out some knots in my back and neck.

Reasonable prices and quiet space. You will be greeted with the biggest warmest smiles. I always ask for Lesley, her magical hands always send me to sleep . She is good at what she does and is very courteous.

I came here for my first foot massage ever as soon as I got off work let’s just say I should’ve never paid for this I should’ve went home and let my girlfriend rub my feet like I usually do I had a black And blue under my foot and it was swollen I was limping all night smh will not be returning I’m just going to give my girlfriend 60$ because she clearly knows what she she doing On top of that I scheduled my appointment for 730 they called me and said the therapist had to leave early I had to be there by 7 I stopped what I was doing and immediately went there to be dissatisfied I wish I remember his name guys but he had a black beard an kind of muscular do not give him your feet if you don’t want them bruised he should’ve just left I was better off letting the receptionist massage my feet smh will not return unfortunately

I can not recommend this place highly enough. Gone to Terrance several times and booked a couples massage as well. I usually book at least a day in advance because they’re popular, but encourage you to check out this professional and courteous business.

Great place and Caleb gives the best deep tissue massages, released all tension in neck and back! Ill be going back bi-weekly.
