Love love loved this spot! If you’re looking for a Caribbean/Reggae music, look no further, this is it. The space is really inviting with high ceilings and graffiti/art on the walls. Ordering drinks was a little challenging during the busy times of the night. Although it got busy, there was still room to dance. All in all, fun experience! Highly recommend!
Heres a draft for your review incorporating all the details:---I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Club Timehri. Despite the clubs reputation for good music and a vibrant atmosphere, the unprofessional behavior of the security staff completely ruined the night.Upon entering, it was clear that the security guards were more interested in trying to pick up girls than doing their actual job. Their lack of professionalism was alarming and created an uncomfortable environment. Instead of ensuring the safety and order of the venue, they were preoccupied with personal interests. To make matters worse, I was removed from the club with no explanation. It became evident that this action was due to past biases from the security team rather than any legitimate reason. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the management of the club.Security should be focused on maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons, not engaging in inappropriate behavior or acting on personal grudges. I hope the management of Club Timehri takes serious steps to address these issues and improve their security staffs professionalism. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a respectful and secure nightlife experience.
My friends and I went on a Saturday, it’s very small and tight and hardly any room to dance, the dj played some good Jamaican music, overall not a bad spot
If you’re looking for some good Caribbean music (reggae/soca) this is the spot. Good drinks and air conditioning.Taylor makes the best drinks! Tip her well!!
My first experience at Club Timehri was a good one. It’s a totally different vibe for me. But I must say the music was so good that I couldn’t help but dance. Overall, I had a great time. First time here and I shall definitely revisit. I highly recommend if you want to have a feel of the Caribbean night life!Good Service ✅Good Vibes ✅Very Friendly And Courteous Staff✅🚻Restroom
Keep up the awesome work security guards. Telling people who look like you to MOVE. WE HAVE TO STOP, this Unprovoked harshness. The most dangerous person in the world, is a person with a little power, having a bad day. After Traveling over 50 minutes to support your own and my reward was a stiff reality check. I will definitely take your advice and MOVE, respectfully. this is my opinion and my experiences should not change your decision to try this establishment.
Im totally disappointed. I was expecting Caribbean music, The dj was only playing music. He likes and not what the crowd likes.Every 1 soca played , 15 afro beats ,2 dancehall .Try speaking to the manager, and he turned his back on me . 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.ps. I was at the right place. You, dj suck , would not encourage ANYBODY to go in that rat hole , getting place
Really wanted to try this spot but they were playing music for men all night. There is so much dancing music from reggae but instead the dj was just playing depressing music. Don’t get me wrong I love those songs too but we’re at a club. If we were at a house party I could understand but we’re at the club and can’t dance. I think the music could be way better. I love all reggae music but when you going out to a Jamaican/caribbean club you expect some of the dancing and celebrating music we all know. Also this was new years weekend which I thought would mean lots of people and dancing but instead we all just had to stand around. Also Saturday night he played one new song the whole night (nothing else from the last decade). Sunday night was better but not by much since again everyone was standing around.
If you are from Trinidad, do not come here.. unless you wanna be in the GAZA. If you know, you know. Drinks were fine. Music =gaza
Is this an African club now because every 1 Caribbean song its 10 African songs. From Grenada came here to celebrate my birthday and it was a huge disappointment. That was the worst ...🤬🤬🤬
Use to be really nice I guess new management and other additions added nothing at all but took away the essence of what made it great.
Fantastic for Caribbean vibes with a hint of Afrobeats. The space is dance centric rather than sectioned off. Drinks prices are more than reasonable.
This bar was a vibe but the drinks were CRAZY over priced! I would have loved to spend my whole night there but 40 bucks for 2 basic mixed drinks was insane. We paid less than half of that down the street.
Let me tell you buddy. I was out one night bored and stumbled on this place.I got so drunk here that I ended up having the best time of my adult life. They are EXTREMELY good at mixing drinks. I mean to the point where my Long Island tasted like a sweet tea but hit like 5 shots of Henny. The bar tenders are hilarious, and it wasn’t the liquor laughing. They legit must be trained in comedy.Lastly some fine woman bit me on my back and I think I found true that night. But overall this place is a definite YES in my book.
Very great place, was visiting DC and decided to stop by here after reading the reviews and had to write one myself. Great music, great DJ, great price, perfect drinks, reasonable security good crowd would definitely recommend. Only reason not 5 starts is 2 bartenders for a Saturday night crowd! I mean come on, had to wait for ages for a drink, otherwise you won’t be disappointed!
Visiting DC from New York, we came to Club Timehri two nights in a row. The Carribean music selection is so good. Drinks are good as well. There is a $10 cash only cover charge per person to get in.
Love it here! Hope it stays in Adams Morgan forever! Great little spot with good vibes. The bartenders are fun and personable and the music is current soca, dancehall, reggae, and some good throwbacks too.
Positive island and multicultural vibes in the city! The ONLY authentic Caribbean dancehall club left in DC! (If you remember Old DC and Georgia Ave Caribbean Carnival, you know what Im talking about). DJ spins Soca, Reggae, Afrobeat, Reggaeton, and international music. Bartenders, owners, and staff are friendly and customer service top notch. The patrons get down too! No wall flowers at this spot. 😁 ALWAYS a great experience at Timehri.
I visited becoz of the good reviews. True, its wonderful. Nice vibe. Music was more soca. I hope more reagge can be played since Timehri is the home of Reagge. The bartenders were grooving like no joke. They were fast in getting the drink orders. The crowd was on fire-grooving like oh my. Music was kainda too loud for me, so I stepped away from the main floor. Thumps up. Well done Timehri. Good job. I will return with more pple.
I like this place, I’ve been looking for a Caribbean spot. When I went it was legit like the Shaun Paul video with the lighters and the banging on the walls (not the furnace lol). The Dj catered to these guys dancing. I wanted to dance and he kept saying this is for the ladies, but it wasn’t! I will go back though!
I love this place. The Bartender is very nice and professional. This is my first time. I will come back again tomorrow or any time I am in DC. She took good care of me. I appreciate that. I will come back. I like simple stuff and this place is my type.
Lit reggae bar w good music good drinks and the nest bartenders! Cleo was my bartender and made me good drinks and quick service! Ill be back!!!
I was a sit at the bar and dance in my chair girl and the bartender really took care of me and I appreciate that. Gave me water when he knew i needed water and paid attention when necessary. Music was great.
Drinks are reasonably priced. It has the potential to be fun hangout, but on the night I went the DJ sucked. He doesnt play Caribbean music with confidence and know-how.
The music was good, the bartenders, security and owners were very nice and professional. Would most def visit again and recommend to any looking to have a lit night in DC
Amazing spot for real authentic dancehall/reggea music, I went by myself and had an amazing time. I met such amazing people. I am planning on going back this weekend. Take it from a New Yorker that knows what a hot spot should be like. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You wont be disappointed.
Good mix of Reggae Caribbean hip-hop music. Parking its pretty bad at night. Drinks are reasonable price and there is a cover charge.
It was a fun club and drinks were good but I went last Friday and I came before 11:30 and on the website it says ladies free before 11:30 the girl handling the door was trying to make my friend and I pay but other girls were walking in for free of course there was an issue but the security let us through. We didn’t mind paying but the false advertisement needs to be put off the website also the door girl need to check her attitude.
One of the only spots in Adams Morgan where you can find a good mix of Caribbean music and reasonably priced drinks. The vibes in this place is good but it does get hot!
I absolutely LOVE Timehris, I try my best to go as often as I can which is not that often unfortunately but when I do get out its the ONLY spot I go to. My only gripe is DJ does not play enough Soca. I only listen to Caribbean music and love soca. Everyone is always friendly, love the bartenders especially the short girl with the long curly hair (sry cant remember her name). She always gives me a big smile when I see her, the security guys are great as well. Big up GT all day now just play a lil more Soca on Saturdays 😁
The owner and the workers here are wonderful omg I enjoyed it so much I came here two nights back to back they took real good care of us from the dj to the bartender to the owner they made sure we enjoyed our night and made sure we was safe Johnny your great your a real humble and we appreciate you thank you and your employees for the wonderful care and customer services you guys provided Washington DC doesn’t owe us anything thanks to you and your wonderful employees #yournewfloridafriends
The best Carrib spot ever. I love the bartender Honeymo. She is so sweet , the music is great too. I HAVE CELEBRATED MY BIRTHDAY HERE FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS
Worst experience ever. After scouting DC to find a Jamaican club, my cousin told me that this club was, in fact, a Jamaican club—it isnt. Please, owner, do not advertise your club as a Jamaican club because we Jamaicans do come out to listen to our music. Your selector/musician played more Spanish, African, and Soca music than they played reggae and dancehall.Get yourself a selector from Jamaica to play in your club. After all, we are paying customers.
It gets so hot and packed in here which would be good if they would let you step outside to get fresh air without throwing your expensive drink away. If they let you breathe fresh air without being petty then this club would be 5 stars
The bartender gets 5🌟 she was excellent. The DJ 🎵🎶🕺🏾💃🏽. What can I say….I couldn’t stop dancing!!! He gets five ✨! 😍 this place!
Club closed at 2p, I called at 2:08 because my keys were dropped in club. Was told I had to wait til 9p that night to get them so I’m stranded having to sleep on club stoop because the owner would not tell one of his workers to come back. Explained I have an autistic child to get to but he didn’t care. I will Never come back
This place is amazing. Amazing vibes amazing drinks amazing bartenders. I couldnt say anything more about it without doing it an injustice. Best bar in Adams Morgan
I ventured back into this place on Friday then on Saturday Nite. The space and atmosphere w/music ws fun filled & alot of friendly smiles. The bar tender(s) fixed me wicked good drinks. A Big Change from a couple of years ago. All for better.....
Hmmmm.... I love most of the reviews, its also been YEARS since I visited but, I wanna know: What DAY of the week is THE BEST to be here when it will be packed? I love to av fun!!
Had so much fun here. Great atmosphere and great people. Everyone there was having a good time and the music was on point. It was reminiscent of a basement party.
Got there a little late when I walked.in incredible.energy .I do not live locally so this out of town visit was worth it!!! dancing, drinks.good.people I really enjoyed.myself i.will.be back happy birthday to.me!!!
Yo it was ok the music could be way way better the dj was weak, but the atmosphere was nice good bars service put the music which is wack
The reason I am just giving it 3 stars is the location most of us who travel been to reggea clubs What we love about them they were always centralized in the inner-city That way you could avoid the vanilla yuppies, swirling non conscious candance owens types etc and team rainbow This place is smack dead in that element it is that entire area So for the conscious professionals of color this is your heads up the owner and staff are cool If you are stuck in the area because of business and have nowhere else to go this is doable but for those of us who love the escape of a reggea club this is not it... this is the entire area it is the only place in amerikkka trump supporters, strippers, team rainbow and thugs party together never seen anything like this nor wish to ever again dc is no longer the chocolate city .. it is more like the chocolate chip with pink on it
This bar only has one restroom stall available for its patrons which leads to incredibly long wait times on busy nights
The best dancehall and reggae spot in the DMV. Its like youre back ah yard. Highly recommended and to top it off the mixologist is off the charts.
Fun spot for reggae in D.C. its start to crack about 12:45 am or so. Comr prepared to sweat and have a great time.
If you are in the mood to dance your ass off this is a place to go. The drinks are reasonably priced. The cover charge is reasonable.
Very Nice Dancehall/Reggae spot in the DMV area.. The dance floor is small so it can be a little crowded but its one of the best places to go..One of my go to spots..
Im always hanging at this spot Im from the islands and its good for when Im feeling home sick because I get a good vibes and I feel safe...great music people and just pure fun oh and the drinks oh yes ...🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I will definitely be back to this club! Good drinks, bar tenders are friendly. If you are looking for a dancehall ..youve found it!
Gets pretty hot and sweaty when its full but besides that great music, great place to party..enjoy going there on a Saturday night

I had a great time $4 drinks...good vibes all around
Love the crowd, all we do is party and have a good time....
I have a question. Is this establishment requiring proof of covid vaccination or recent test results?
This is my #1 place hands down. I love everything about Timehris. 💯💯💯💯💯
