Massage Envy - Royal Palm Beach so sad… I’m here for a massage and find out that my therapist is no longer working here. This is actually the third time in two months that I have shown up and found out my appointment was cancelled… no call, no email or anything. The girl argued that it had already been cancelled and I should have gotten a call. Well, as I was sitting in my truck trying to figure out where I can go get a massage, I get an alert that the appointment was cancelled. So I walked back inside to ask her did she just cancel the appointment. She admitted she had just cancelled it… “no charge” as if it was a favor to me. I corrected her about being charged, because I didn’t cancel, they did and without a notification for the third time. The fact that this had happened several times in the past two months, and no kind of attempt was made to apologize and fix the inconvenience, I’m cancelling my membership once I use this last prepaid. I have been a member since 2004-2006ish… this makes absolutely no sense. To blatantly lie like that on their error and to keep repeating the error with no correction and no conscious for inconveniencing someone like that!!! I have overlooked these things knowing I need the massages, but I’m done. I haven’t seen Tatiana, who was amazing at the front desk, during this whole mess. These new people out front… I have nothing positive to say, so I won’t say anything.
Really debated writing this but I do look at reviews to know which therapist to book with and wish more people included names for that reason.Here was my experience with Rose.I got held up in a work meeting, so I arrived feeling frazzled right as my massage was supposed to start. Rose honestly seemed annoyed to be there and I felt awkward and like she was irritated with me for arriving literally one minute late.I like firm slow pressure on my back/neck/shoulders and more of a restorative (maybe medium) pressure massage for the legs/arms. There were definitely techniques that she used that I really liked, but the speed of the massage wasn’t my style. Rather than slowly hitting the knots and muscles, I felt like it was a rolling pin quickly going over my back. It’s like she thought if she went fast the massage would end faster. A few hours after the massage I started feeling extremely tender between my shoulder blades and today I woke up hurting. Leaning back in my car to drive hurt. I like firm pressure, I’ve had my chiropractor blade me in that area several times and not once have I ever felt bruised like I do today. The only thing I can think is the speed at which she went at my back. The lower half part was ok, she was a little too gentle and when I said she could increase the pressure she did.When she finished, she didn’t really ask me how I was feeling or if I wanted water, she just said you are all set and left. When I walked out she was no where to be found.
I have been getting massages regularly for 25 years and I can tell you that in the last 20 Rose is the only one who has been able to work on my back (permanent injury) without causing pain. For 20 years I had to avoid it because no one listened and worked with me. I have been with Rose exclusively for 16 months and I see her every 2 weeks. She begins and ends each session asking how I feel, and always asks if any particular area should be avoided or needs extra work. Her attitude is always pleasant and her smile is contagious. Make sure to schedule her in advance, shes so popular if I dont book 6 weeks ahead someone is always trying to slide in my spot.Youll feel so much better, BUT! Wednesdays at 4pm is mine lol.
The staff at RPB are very welcoming and friendly. Went for a last minute massage and Ashley did a great job!
Patricia did a phenomenal job! Very professional and knowledgeable about what she was doing. The massage was incredibly relaxing and she was great at finding the areas where I was tight and that needed attention. Will be coming back!
I gifted my MIL a massage for her birthday from my membership out of state. She told them when she booked that she was gifted a massage from her DIL in Virginia. After her massage, they charged her the full non-member rate; flustered, and pulled out some ME gift cards to use toward the cost. When she called me right after it happened, I contacted the location and got a manager by the name of Garyanne. She said (a) she didnt see the transferred massage attributed to her account; and (b) she couldnt credit back to the gift card even if she could see the transferred massage. She tried to say my MIL never said there was a transferred massage in her name (incorrect; her adult daughter was with her to drive her there, and she is a verifying witness), and Garyanne was aggressively arguing with me about the entire situation.So I called the manager at my home ME location, who 100% verified the transferred massage was listed in the system in my MILs name and with the correct cell #. The manager also said that yes its possible to cancel a transaction to a gift card, especially if its done within the same day.So I called the RPB location back, explained what the manager of my home location said, and the manager Garyanne became increasingly irate, spoke over me and wouldnt allow a word in edgewise, and said it wasnt possible to rectify the situation. But she can use the credit next time. She shouldnt have to, and after this encounter I doubt there will be a next time.This was a birthday gift, and whatever semblance of relaxation my MIL received by the massage was entirely gone after paying out of pocket for it and hearing me argue in frustration with this manager.Had it gone well, I was going to gift my MIL a monthly membership. But thanks to Garyannes rudeness, Id rather spend my money to pamper my MIL elsewhere.Seriously, Massage Envy, you really need to train your front desk and your managers on customer service, corporate policies, and SOPs for transactions involving gift cards and transferred credits. It shouldnt be that I get a different answer to a simple question depending on who I speak to, and while I understand its a franchise and things may vary somewhat, corporate policies must supersede manager whim or ignorance.
This is my first and last experience with them. My sister gave me a gift card so I decided to schedule my massage for June 29th at 7:00 pm. I was not able to go so I called one day before, nobody answered the phones. The next morning I received my text confirmation to which I said that I wanted to reschedule. They told me I lost the total amount of my gift card according to their policies. They recognized their phones were not working so I couldn’t rescheduled my appointment by then, and because I couldn’t respond to their message right away they took the full amount of my gift card? My daughter called to make them realized of their mistake, she asked them to look at their phone records so they could see that I called one day before to reschedule, but they didn’t care and insisted that there was nothing to do. The worst management. So disappointed of their customer service.
I booked an appointment when I arrived, but I was told no appointment was booked. The answer I received was you can reschedule this, but hospitality or customer service received was horrible. I don’t recommend this location.
I’ve been coming to Michael for a couple years now and I absolutely love him. He is the most respectful masseuse. He literally knows what I need, just by feeling on my back and what needs attention. I won’t go to anyone but him!
My massage was awesome. All staff are very professional and friendly. Had Hilda she was the best masseuse that I have had in years. Was so good that I bought their package plan. You gotta go and try it. You will leave stressed free and relaxed.
Saw Sarah and she was the best massage therapist Ive ever had. Very knowledgeable and knew exactly where my problem areas were. Checked my mobility and worked out my planters in my feet, even told me which insoles to get for my other problems in my feet. Overall amazing and I hope she stays!!!!
If I could leave negative stars I would. Massage Envy Causes more stress that it relieves. On April 27, 2022 My Beautiful Woman, Dawn, was taking a Spiritual Day that is provided through the Christian College where she works. She booked a massage and facial sessions with Massage Envy two weeks in advanced so she was prepared for this day. On the day of her massage she received a call one hour prior to her long awaited massage that they were cancelling. In all the years that I have known Dawn, I had never once seen her this angry, frustrated, and crushed by anything. When she called back to see what was going to be done to get this rectified they informed her that there was nothing that could be done, told her to calm down, and hung up on her! She called back and the counter person said that they would have the manager call when she got in, ................... she did not. The counter person said that they would call to other locations and see if there were any other openings, .................. the did not (I know this because after 30 minutes I called to other locations and found one was available but we could not make it there in 10 minutes, had he done what he said he would do, we could have made the alternate appointment). She cried all morning, because this is not the first time that she has had issues with this company, shes had issues simply getting appointments even though they have no issues taking her monthly payments. She has had gift cards expire and become useless because she could not get in for an appointment. I have watched her year after year trying to frustratingly deal with trying to get an appointment Massage Envy. She was informed that if she discontinued her contract that there would be no compensation and that she would lose the eleven services that she currently has backed up on her account due to the fact that Massage Envy doesnt have the capability of accommodating the needs, of what Ive read, ALOT of their clients. When you take hard earned money from others knowing full well that you are going to have issues fulfilling your obligations, as noted and documented in these other reviews, you are SCAMMING your clients. Until you personally reach out and rectify what you did to Dawn I am personally going warn others about your service through word of mouth, through social media, and through reviews everywhere that I can post them. And No I will not respond to your referred complaint department link.
Purchased a gift card for 90 mins and only received 60 mins due to their scheduling mishap. Mind you this appt was booked weeks in advance. They wouldnt refund the other 30 mins and stated their policy was only able to give the original gift card back (which they originally tried to con us into leaving as the tip). So now they expect me to spend more money as there is no 30 min massage. And not everyone has the luxury to schedule multiple massages. Highly disappointed and wont be back. 2 stars because the masseuse was ok.
My massage therapist, Hope, was awesome! Very polite, informative, and patient. Most of all I felt wonderful when she completed my service. However, the front office staff did not greet me when I came in, answered a phone call before addressing me, and did not even extend a farewell or thank me for my service when I left. They did, however, provide this good customer service to others with different skin complexions. This was my observation and experience. If you experience the same, just know you are not the only one.
I couldnt thank Patty enough for setting the tone for my birthday yesterday! Just WOW! The customer service was great, booking was super easy, no issues with rescheduling (I bumped my appointment up since I had added some fun birthday adventures into my schedule), and I signed up for their membership! Of course, the superstar of this experience was Patty. I told her my concern areas, she did an amazing job working on them without neglecting anything else, and I felt like a princess with her amazing manipulations and techniques. I left feeling like a brand spanking new person when I left! I totally 100% recommend!
( Disclaimer: I rarely leave negative reviews however hopefully this review can help someone else avoid this experience)I have been a loyal customer of Massage Envy for over 10 years. I enjoyed my membership so I purchased a membership for my mother. She unfortunately became ill and has been unable to use any of her 24 accrued sessions ($1,680 value) for over 2 years. When I requested an accommodation to donate these sessions before canceling her membership, I was told by the manager this is impossible and she has already spoken to the franchise owner about this issue. This was not explained to me when signing up for a membership. I am disheartened by the lack of support for their loyal customers however happy that there are many other options in Palm Beach County for wonderful massage therapy experiences. I will be canceling both of our memberships and warn anyone who would like to avoid this headache, avoid Massage Envy. Too many other options to risk losing this kind of money.

I made a last minute appointment this week after experiencing neck pain for a few days. Hana addressed all of my areas of pain and tension and suggested using the massage gun for tension relief. My pain went away and I feel so much better. Thank you Hana for an amazing massage and your attention to detail!
For over a month now, I have been attempting to reconcile my membership account, so that I can resume the massages that I have enjoyed for the last 9 years.I have only been able to communicate with Sarah, the manager, who only wants to resolve the issue by terminating my membership. I would like to speak with one of the co-owners; however, after many messages left for them to contact me, I have been unsuccessful.It appears that the management (Sarah) keeps the owners away from problems that need to be resolved. After being a satisfied customer for 9 years, it does not seem unreasonable to speak with one of the co-owners about a membership issue. My telephone number and email address are on file if one of the co-owners would like to speak with me.So disappointed...
Massage Envy Membership - DONT SIGN UP UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FOR NOTHING. I understand its a business, and in order to stay in business you have to collect money however when you have 30 sessions youve paid for and the best they can do is freeze your account and and charge me $20.00 a month to not provide you any services! Youre literally paying for something youve already paid for! Its ridiculous! COMPLETE RIP OFF! Dont sign up unless youre rich and want to throw your money away!!Youre better off paying the higher prices unless you plan to never get sick!
The entire experience was great. The staff was professional and friendly. Patty was my massuse , having only been at the position 2 weeks, she was a pro. Asked specific questions for best service. I had done yard work and she focused in on pinpoint areas for relief. I have been to numerous upscale, luxury spas and the experience with my massage was on point.
Cheryl was amazing. I did a 90 minute lymphatic massage post operation and it was heavenly. I didn’t sign up for a membership, but it was worth the visit💜💜
I went in as a gift from my mother, who is a membership holder. She made the appointment for me. When I went in the 2 workers, male and female (Brittany) were discussing personal issues. Brittany was on the work phone discussing selling a bassinet to someone off of offer up to her MAN. The male was discussing out loud how hungover he was from clubbing in Miami until 4am the night before. When I was done with my services, they had no record of my mother transferring services to me. When I got my mom on the phone, Brittany said she couldnt speak to her. So I had to put my mother on speaker phone for everyone to hear about there mess up. When I asked if I could pay the transfer fee of $10 in addition to my tip, Brittany said she already charged the card on file and it cant be undone.The front desk staff are VERY unprofessional. However, I would go back for Aurora, she is amazing and very nice.
My daughter purchased a membership for me as a gift a few years ago. I started having medical problems that did not allow me to lay flat on the table and then covid hit. I have over 20 accumulated sessions and still Im physically unable to get massages. The manager has told my daughter there is nothing to do other than lose all the money she has spent for the last two years on the membership. We would have canceled sooner but was hoping due to the pandemic the company would allow an exception. They dont tell you its impossible to not lose money if you need to canceled with accrued sessions, even if the circumstances are out of your control. We feel cheated and betrayed by this company and will never work with massage envy again.
Ashley was the BEST! PERFECT amount of massage pressure. You have to go visit! No sales pitches. Wish we lived around here because I would be going regularly. Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars.
Massage Envy Southern is exceptional! The front end staff is extremely professional while providing 5 star service from booking to check in and out. They know who you are and your preferences. If an issue comes up, not likely, they are very accommodating and eager to help fix the situation. This location is a 10 versus other sites Ive been such as Boynton Beach West and Wellington. Wellington is excellent but just not exceptional.The therapists are professional, intuitive, and excellent at massages and facials. They are attentive to your specific needs and beyond excellent in their technique.My wife wont get a facial anywhere else. She still sees the original person from 7 years ago.

The massage was great for my husband and I , but the front desk was not. They need to be replaced. I dont think training can help. You either have basic manners or you dont. The lady that took my call and helped me at the front desk was not only rude to me but rude to other customers asking simple questions in th lobby . The other women -no better. Arguing with customers over the phone. So unprofessional and just simply despicable the way they talk to people. We arrived 5 minutes before our appointment and she when went out of her way to remind me that I was late (due to paper work they needed us to fill out ) it was raining ..among other things that made us late...but u dont remind clients that they are late -unless u dont plan on taking them in for the appointment. Common sense !! We wont be back here.
The staff was extremely welcoming. Upon entering you are immediately greeted with a smile. The spa is very clean and aromatic. It gives you a calm feeling and well being. Almost as if youre in another dimension. The bathrooms are clean and the floors always look as if theyre recently buffed. The owner was present at my visit and introduced himself and gave me a tour.Also, this particular spa also has a skin consultant on duty. She appeared very friendly, but I passed on the free session. When waiting for you massage therapist, you can wait in a separate room where you can sit in a relaxing massage chair. And adjust the levels to your liking. You can view it as a massage before your massage.The massage tables are very comfortable and heated. So you are always cozy warm while the therapist is massaging you. My massage therapist, Yvette, was very professional. She was really interested in my needs and paid close attention to my trigger areas on my back and shoulders and did not massage too hard as you find with some others.Upon completion you are given you are given a very warm small towel to wipe your oils off or simply place on an area of your body or face for a few seconds. You are also given a sheet of the muscle areas that were targeted and recommendations for your next visit.If you have tightness, or kinks in your back, this place really has a trained staff too meet all of your needs and areas of concern. If you visit for the first time plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before hand because they want to give you a tour and have you fill out forms regarding your concerns, injuries and lifestyle, and get you comfortable in the massage chair for about ten minutes. It is definitely worth the investment once a month!
The receptionist was neither friendly or welcoming. She asked me what kind of massage I wanted. I asked what kind of massages they offered. She said they have a lot like deep tissue or relaxing. Without a menu of services, I said I guess I will do the relaxing massage. She said the non member fee was $79. I said that was more expensive than I thought. She then reluctantly told me about a first time rate of $49.99. I said okay. A young man came from behind the desk to give me paperwork to fill out. While I was filling out paperwork, I could hear the receptionist talking about me. It gave me a very negative vibe and I decided not to stay. She should remember that it is rude to whisper and especially when someone might be able to hear what you are saying.
Love coming here! So relaxing! Both my husband and I always go to Shawn. He does a great job and is very knowledgeable. He really listens to what is bothering you and he focuses on those areas. I always feel better when I leave here!
Everything was just fine until the canceling process for my husband and I and ill write bullet points rather than a book..-went to cancel my membership, front desk guy seemed to mentally be elsewhere said ok its canceled...called to confirm a couple days later. It was not canceled person said they will cancel it. Couple weeks go by they said i needed to fill out a cancelation form that neither of the other 2 mentioned so again wasnt canceled.-for 3 yrs with massage envy my husband and i get couples massages never mattered which account it came from. This lead to 8 prepaids on his account 0 on mine ...with no warning or heads up now they cant be transferred he needed to use them all to cancel his membership-2 seperate occations his account was supposed to be on a freeze ....we got charged ANOTHER prepaid and his account wasnt on a freeze. They had to reimburse us.-once canceling an account you have 60 days to use remaining prepaids (something many desk employees dont know seems like if there isnt a manager on duty they really dont know how to look anything up or fix anything) we have an email confirming the cancelation as well as 1 remaining prepay...i call a couple weeks later to book the last prepaid and im told the account is expired and theres no prepaid. Had this person look all the stuff up...account was not even 30 days canceled (within the 60 days) and furthermore we had not been in for the last prepaid we have an email as proof. So essentially massage envy has stolen that.This process has honestly been horrendous Xs 2 because we both had to go through it so it was not a fluke. Lack of employee knowledge at the front desk and utter lack of care or motivation to fix issues that are 100% massage envys fault. I have tons of patience but its every single step of this has been a nightmare and i tell everyone one I can to avoid like the plague its more stressful going there than not. I havnt recieved any sort of appology or anyone trying to rectify these problems or being held accountable. They blow it off and move on with their day no pride in the company or ownership for personal error!To be fair the people doing the actual massage and facials or good to very good! Front desk has major issues aside from sarah the manager she is awesome i wish she was the only person we ever had to talk to...knowledgable, problem solver, and cared about the issues. did not blow it off for someone else to figure out sinse i had called several times for each of our problems I knew if i could talk to sarah some sort of solution was going to be offered for all the screw ups.Originally we planned to cancel just throughout my pregnancy and start again after and after this huge massive headache we will get massage memberships elsewhere. The point is stress release not added headaches. Ive never written a review this long and thorough ever but thats how upsetting this experience has been
Ive only been coming this year, and have only had a few services completed. Everyone has always been very helpful and nice anytime I have called or came in, but yesterday specifically I had a lot of random questions regarding services and masseuses when I came in. Johnny was so great and helpful. Thank you for all your help!
Great experience each time I’ve gone. Rose on 2.2.2020 was AMAZING and really made every effort to help relieve my back pain - and she DID!! I feel so much better! I will definitely be back to see her again!

From the minute I entered the door, I was treated well. I requested deep tissue and saw Kumara, who did an amazing job. I felt no pain as she worked on me. Neither did I feel any pain the rest of the day. I knew it the next day, though, and continued to drink plenty of water to help move the loosened calcium out of my body. I already booked a second massage with her I was so satisfied.
Very pushy sales tactics to get you to join as a member. If you choose not to there are fees and rediculous charges to cancel an appointment. So you have to literally pay them double for no service. When you try to ask why, they rudly say Because its the policy then walk away from the conversation and become rude. If you contimplate a membership they again act sweet and friendly. I will not return!

Made an appt for my wife via phone call. The lady who took my call asked what I wanted to leave for a tip if any. I gave her an amount and that was it. 4 days later I check my credit card and the amount was $20 higher. I called and I was advised the additional $20 that was charged was the tip on top of what I left. I was slightly annoyed but the girl on the phone was nice. She assured me one of her managers would call me back the next day. I asked are you sure? One of my biggest pet peves is when someone says they will call me and they dont. She assured me again they will definitely call. Well guess what? No one called! What a shocker! Will make sure I get my money back and will definitely NOT be returning. Thanks for the awesome experience! 👎

Great if you find a therapist you like, and have a set schedule, but if you need impromptu masasges this location seems to only have free staff that isnt as good or is a guy, and its less relaxing for me.

Overall, good value for the money, but reception/management had on-going issues like not informing us of mis-booked appointments, so we switched to a different location...only to find out it had the same management. So well try again elsewhere!
