Drinks were overpriced, and false advertising. Spent $75 on tickets to see an artist perform but never mentioned that it was just an appearance from the artist.in which he showed face for about 20 minutes around 1:30 am when advertised to begin at 9pm Place was cool though, good music. Dance vibes on point
Superstition is the spot! I moved to Austin from Denver last year and am pleased to see so many quality acts that have performed at Superstition! It is my go to club! I always have a great time and appreciate how they offer so many free shows! The VIP staff is phenomenal and the ambiance in the space is 🔥. Overall, I love this venue! Ps. Brought my parents to Super when I first moved and they enjoyed it!
Zach is an incredible bartender! My cousin and I were taken care of so well by him. He made us the best tequila shot concoction weve ever had, and our time at the VIP section was fantastic. Highly recommend his service for a great night out!
Perhaps the worst bar in Austin. The space is uninspiring at best. The style and decor is dated with ridiculous flaming bottle service and frat boys..The whole experience was tired and gross. The bartenders were rude and I was served a $15 house vodka soda that was all ice and soda water. I would try to balance this review with something positive to say, but that’s quite a challenge. I guess the only positive thing I could say is hopefully this review (and the many, many others) will save you time and money if you choose to take this advice —- go anywhere else!
It’s rare to find a club environment I enjoy but Superstition has thought of everything and the team upstairs in the VIP room keeps me coming back. Great music, great environment, even better service. Ekkoe at the upstairs bar is one of my favorite bartenders in Austin and all the girls in the VIP lounge make it feel like everyone’s a regular. Killer time if you like having fun.
Superstition provides an electrifying nightlife adventure that leaves patrons craving more. With hidden speakeasies tucked away within its walls, it offers both a Vegas-style nightclub experience and a high-end social lounge. This unique setup allows guests to escape for intimate conversations while still immersing themselves in the lively atmosphere, ensuring everyone enjoys multiple exciting experiences under one roof with world class DJs.
4.19Came back to see flight facilities and got half the show. I’ve seen them before at the belasco in LA and had singers and Djs playing. But at superstition they started at midnight, with no singers. This is the WORST venue in Austin. Overly crowded and misleading. Headliners start at midnight. The only positive is that the bartenders are friendly. Everyone else is incredibly rude. Stay clear. Save yourself the headache and go to concourse or literally any other venue in the cityDoors at 8pm show at 9pm really means opener plays till 10:30pm- 12:30pm and then the headliner finally shows. The venue itself is cool but way too crowded for shows. Bartenders are friendly.
Bought tickets to see an artist over the final weekend of SXSW. The advertisement for the show stated that the artist would be on stage at 9pm. Correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt that indicate that the artist will be performing as opposed to just making a 20 minute appearance? So to charge your customers $75 dollars for regular tickets & $100 dollars for VIP Tickets stating the artist takes the stage at 9pm isnot only false advertisement, but COMPLETE SCAM!!!Never in my life would I ever pay just to get a glimpse of an artist that I like or any celebrity for that matter. The owners of this establishment, the marketing representative site not only be ashamed of themselves for ripping off your customers but legal action needs to be done, because according to the majority of the reviews, this isnt the first nor is it the second time these people are accused of fraud. The vibe seemed normal at first. I say at first because once all the all the business professionals, trust fund babies & ghetto escorts who accompanied these men showed up, the vibe quickly changed in the worst kinds of way. People who have too pay for escorts & pay for VIP to just take pics to post on Instagram to get viewers praying it leads to their influencer debut, are turning this whole country to S***!!! Theyre not there for the artist or even to support the establishment. Theyre there to drive up prices & look as if theyre somebody in this world, its sad honestly.Dont get me started on the over priced drinks. $42 dollars for a double of Cosamigos is price gouging at its finest. The fact that TABC hasnt gotten involved with the obvious over priced alcohol is absolutely insane. But like many other reviews pointed out, the fraudulent advertisement this establishment is doing to promote themselves is down right disgusting. I understand needing to make money but in a time when inflation is at an all time high & people are having to work 2-4 jobs just to make ends meat to pay their bills is not unlawful but shows the complete lack of care for the city of Austin.Im keeping an eye on my bank account to make sure that this establishment doesnt charge my card for drinks I didnt order or drink. My first bar order was $42 & my second which included a well vodka cherry vodka sour & a single cosamigos came to a mind blowing $38 dollars without tax or to. Being a bar tender, server & aesthetician, I know the service industry & would never to anything below 20%. The bartenders were nice & provided great service, its just sad that theyre working for crooks. I can only imagine what they charge for their bottle services if 2 shots cost $42. The AC was kicking but I can see why because once the place was packed not only could you not move by you couldnt even breath. I will definitely be copying this review so that I can report this fraudulent business to the Better Business Bureau as well as TABC. I will never go back to support the greedy scumb that own this tiny over priced dump.CJ the bathroom attendant was the best part of the whole night!!!!Oh and expect to pay $20 just to park your own car.
Nothing negative to say, the club is exactly what I was hoping it was going to be. New place, so they have some kinks to work out - but great spot.Vibe: dress out. Lots of great style, and variety of styles. We saw Chameo. If this is indicative of the nightly vibe, then it’s a welcoming, little bit upper scale disco/funk house vibe.Service: Awesome service.Look forward to more nights there.Recommendation from both of us; fold back the extra wrist band then snap it 😊🤘🏼
Love love love superstition. It’s truly such a great atmosphere and such a fun time. The cocktail waitresses are sexy and fun and have great service. Best nightclub in town with great talent. I will def be coming back.
Books the best EDM shows and has great sound lighting production. Vibe is always fun and safe. The workers are friendly and make it feel like home. Austin’s little Vegas with a lot of dancinnn 🔥Austin needed a club like this
Do not I repeat do not go here they charge you fraudulent charges if you order from the top bar. I was charged $92 when I was only there for less than 30 mins and bought one drink which they already charged me for. When I called about the extra $92 they never returned my call and nobody wanted to help me get my money back. This place is ghetto as hell and they do a lot of fraud cause they charged my friend as well.
I’m here for what will hopefully be an amazing artist’s show…but oh lord…this place is awful. Disorganized. Dance floor is so small it’s crazy. It’s all about bottle service for sure. They’re looking for money, not good vibes. Everyone early arrival looks so bored (me too…do I even spin my lights?). Hopefully the show is awesome….Update - the show was not great. The venue got worse. Go anywhere but here.
Superstition reigns supreme as Austins ultimate nightlife destination! With a knack for hosting top-tier music performers, from DJs to Rappers, it guarantees an unparalleled experience. Beyond grooving on their vibrant dance floor, youll find serene chill-out zones like the cozy side bar with comfortable booths and an inviting outdoor patio where you can soak in the beats while enjoying fresh air. Trust me, a visit to this spot promises the most fun/unforgettable nighttime adventure youll ever have!
Always a great time here. They bring incredible talent week after week, have a well run and respectful staff that does a great job, and know how to take care of their guests. Would recommend anyone living in or visiting Austin to check this place out.
I’ve visited Superstition twice – once for Dillon Francis and another time for Bunt. It’s undeniably the ultimate spot with top-notch DJs, where everyone’s there for an unforgettable experience. The vibe is electric, with each person individually jamming out in their own zones. Also, the staff goes above and beyond, always friendly and accommodating. I want to go back again!
Came here for New Years Eve. Great atmosphere, good performers and good vibes. The venue is clean and the staff are all friendly. Overall great club, always a fun time.
I was so excited to meet the dj that I was running outside & missed the side walk and fell pretty bad. Super nice security came up & helped me! Security never fails to be super nice everytime!
Worst club in Austin. The DJs suck! No taste in music, no one was dancing. Not worth the cover charge . Vip was just as lame. So many better clubs in Austin , this one is the worst
As others noted, tiny venue and ridiculously expensive. Shoulder to shoulder with no room to breathe.Wife got a water and a regular drink for $65. It wasnt until i got a text from the bank if it was fraud and i immediately said yes. Closed my card as they might have kept my information with how shady they were. First and last time coming here.Update a few days later. Now I see about 4 more charges going over $200. I did not have a single drink other than my wife getting one water and 1 drink. Stay away from this place.
Saw Salvatore Ganacci. Vibe was amazing. Great sound and lighting support. VIP sparklers were a bit much, but not too bad. Had me looking for the fire exit just in case.$45 for two Crown and Cokes...
Great place to come see some of your favorite DJ’s! The decor is amazing, lights and music are unlike anything else in Austin. Staff is super friendly and helpful!
First time at this venue honestly it has now easy become one of my new favorite in Austin for shows everyone from the door guy to the higher ups have been nothing but absolutely fantastic definitely recommend this venue for anyone looking for a place with immaculate vibes and a beautiful atmosphere
If you want a tl;dr: I bought $100 in tickets to see an artist I really love and didnt even stay for half an hour. Its that bad.I bought tickets to see San Holo afterparty, after his main show at Emos. I was excited to see Droeloe and him play the afterparty, since they had just killed it at Emos. I bought them a bit impulsively and then wanted to look up the venue. Im from Austin, and Im familiar with Superstition as I pass by it occasionally -- but Id never bothered to actually look at reviews. Wow. Instant anxiousness reading the reviews. But I thought ...you know, I can go in with an open mind... maybe itll be good.[Narrator] It wasnt good.It really and truly is the worst club experience Ive had in Austin, and possibly anywhere -- at least at the price point theyre charging and the talent theyre bringing. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the floor was sticky. Everywhere. Horribly sticky. This is fine at a club on Sixth Street at 2 AM, but at 9:00-10:00 PM it shouldnt be like this... It tells me you just didnt clean before opening. There werent even that many people when we first arrived to have caused every inch of the floor to be disgusting. It was quite obviously oversold, as once the main show let out at Emos -- there wasnt an inch to move around besides the bathroom hallway. The sound setup was good for a club, but mid overall. It was PACKED though, so you couldnt appreciate really anything at all. If you buy tickets to any major talent here, you will NOT be able to dance and you will be shoulder to shoulder. You have been warned. Its worse than anywhere else Ive been in town, capacity and crowd wise. But my lord, the VIBES. Theyre so, so off.Like 75% of the people there are wanting to see a headlining DJ.The other 25% is crowded into a VIP area that separates the stage from the crowd. The VIP is the weirdest mix of the worst that Austin has to offer in tech bros, finance people, and IG influencers taking selfies with their alcohol theyre overpaying to have brought out to them with the sparklers and huge ordeal. Theyre not there for the headliner and I doubt they even know who they are. Its just weird that such a disinterested group is separating fans from the artist. I really, really dont understand the layout of the club. I wanted to explore it more but I literally couldnt get to the other side through the crowd. It just makes for some weird, weird vibes. I wont EVER buy tickets to another show here, no matter who is playing. Id rather miss the show.
Saw Knife Party and had a great time! Shout to the opener Trn Me Up for his awesome set. Sound systems and lights were awesome. Yes it’s crowded but it’s a more intimate space and you’re close to the DJ. I didn’t feel like the bottle service tables were in the way at all, in fact it looked fun and I’m tempted to get upstairs VIP next time. Yes it’s more “club” vibes than EDM venues we typically go to but I thought the staff was friendly and it felt like a “come as you are” atmosphere where everyone just wanted to have fun and dance
The atmosphere was amazing, but what really stood out was my bartender Sam. He was an absolute professional, and he made the experience of purchasing a drink an enjoyable one.
Id say my experience differs slightly from other negative reviews, but I would also agree with a lot of their gripes. In my experience, staff was friendly. Even the people outside in the cold checking QR codes / IDs. But the place is smalllll if youre not in VIP and that can be far from fun when youre there to dance. While this wasnt the venues fault, the vibes were way off. Half of the crowd wants to dance and enjoy the music, while the other half wants to look cool for strangers and social media. This is worth mentioning for anyone who enjoys EDM and has gone to a rave or two and might expect a more welcoming crowd. The sound isnt the worst and the overall look inside the venue isnt bad.Plan parking ahead of time or rideshare and its not a terrible night out. Just depends on how tolerant you are to being packed in a room.
Place is an absolute vibe, they play a lot of EDM usually but they mix it up depending on the night. I suggest finding a night where it’s music you’ll like and you’ll have fun
Cool vibe in here. Lighting is really great and sound is awesome. Dance floor was PACKED. A single drink is $20+ and came with annoyed service. No one working there seems to be happy working there.I had a fun time but mostly because I was with friends. Otherwise this place could use a management sweep on how to improve the experience.
Im probably the only senior citizen who has visited here. The place is clean and safe with lots of security and even a medic available. The light and graphics screen are great. We got in for free after getting tickets online. I will return. The music was all mixed fusion and occasionally you could hear popular dance songs in the mix.
My friend and I were all....I dunno⁉️ after reading a lot of the sub 3 star reviews but we had a BLAST‼️Just so you know though, I have very little experience for these types of venues so I cant speak to that in terms of Superstition vs. other places, but we totally enjoyed ourselves and the show!!!!KNIFE 🔪 PARTY 🎉 😍 we enjoyed the 2 opening DJs as well but KP was, lets face it, PHENOMENAL.We enjoyed just relaxing in the outdoor patio area prior to the main doors being open @10p.Inside, sure, the micro dance floor, lets just say it is quite intimate! Had we known that we might have sprung for the VIP upstairs sections (unless it is $$$?). We survived! Never got crushed, had a good line of sight, plenty of room to groove....I had 3500 steps between 12-2am from dancing 🤣All in all a solid enjoyable night!!
Very disappointed in this place. Got scammed at the bar by people doing shady business. Ordered 3 beers, wasn’t given a reciept or told how much the total was, checked my bank account last night and was charged around $30 for miller lite. Wanted to love this place but feel like I was robbed and will not be coming back.
So before I begin my review, it’s worth noting that I went during the Ben Bommer show, which was absolutely amazing and we had VIP tickets that got us upstairs in their lounge area. Being sad I understand that the downstairs is a bit tight especially when you’re trying to dance. However, if you’re willing to put up the money for a table or the VIP lounge (different prices for each) then I would highly recommend. The decor is absolutely amazing and the light system and sounds are better than most places that are in the city
Decent talent booked from time to time but note that if you’re attending a sold out show, you will literally be dancing in the hallway by the bathroom unless you arrive before 10. Bit of a bummer since other venues are charging less for the same or better caliber of talent with much more room to dance. On a night where it’s wasn’t sold out, crowd was much more manageable and what you’d expect from a nightclub. Expect a more tourist/“bro” crowd. Bartenders at the lil speakeasy bar are very friendly, quick, and humble. All in all, this place has lots of potential if they would sell about 100 less tickets on a given night.
LANE8 was the headliner for NYE (Or thats what they pitched) paid a pretty penny just for general admission and for anyone who got a VIP ticket, it was well over $1,000 a person. And for what? I mean VIP got seats and a little room to breathe and fancy sparklers with the pretty ladies. Woo-hoo. We were packed in there like sardines, a major violation of fire code. If anything would have happened, we would have all been screwed. Like have a small venue Superstition but for the love of God, cap the damn sales of tickets. The sound system was atrocious, Ive heard better tunes come out of a JBL Boombox. And the kicker? LANE8 didnt even bring us into the New Year, the opening DJ did and she had already been on for over an hour. Such a disappointment. BF had been a long standing fan of his and I dont think thatll be following us into the New Year. Do yourself a favor and DONT check this place out. Not worth it, it doesnt matter how pretty it looks with all their smoke and mirrors. Not to mention that Im pretty sure these people are involved in human trafficking
I’m not sure why the other reviews of this place are so bad, honestly. It’s important to know what to expect. If you’re going here expecting an EDM rave style warehouse venue, you’ll be disappointed. This is a club; yes there are a lot of tables and yes, they do a lot of bottle service. The dance floor could probably be bigger considering the kind of acts they bring in but the sound system is insane, the decor is really cool, and the reality is you’re like 20 feet fromthe DJ. To have a place like this in Austin is pretty awesome! Don’t let the bummer reviews discourage you - go check it out for yourself.
Tried this place out for the first time and was severely disappointed to the point that I would never come again. The venue is extremely small and there is no space to dance and move around. This venue books high-profile DJs with limited accommodating space for GA. Drinks are overpriced and the bartending staff is not very welcoming. Parking is atrocious and price-gouging. The vibes of the club that I experienced was a wannabe yuppie, tech-bro, just-listened-to-EDM-for-the-first-time kind of vibe. If you are a seasoned dance music veteran (like myself), I would recommend skipping out on this experience.
Too crowded, weird vibes, focused on the VIP areas and bottle service. In a city with a large and burgeoning dance music scene and lots of small / underground shows, I don’t know why you’d go here. No room to dance if it’s even marginally full
Love this venue! Staff is incredibly helpful and kind! Enjoyed a VIP table with bottle service which included a sparkler presentation! The market on First Thursday is awesome! Local businesses with great products and free entry for disco dancing all night long! Amazing!
Love it! I went for a daytime event and had lots of fun. The DJs they bring are always amazing and the place is beautiful
Lived in Austin for two years and always came here! They always have great lineups, and the table service is great. Can’t wait to go back 🙏🏼
Visually and decor wise the venue looks amazing! However, I do not like the lack of space on the dance floor. It is impossible to move when an event is sold out which will probably be every time because a security guard told me the capacity is only 400(?). Drinks are really pricey as well. Definitely wasn’t my vibe since it’s more of a Vegas night club than a rave/edm spot. Unfortunately, I will most likely always pass on a show here even if it’s for an artist I really want to see. Loved all the disco balls and the bathroom though!
I went to see a trance artist here. The environment was nice and they kept the AC going all night which is helpful in the crowded room. The negative was the acoustics once the main show started. The music was turned up so loud it was in a constant state of distortion. Youd would think a sound man would catch this kind of stuff.
This place is just all around meh. Wanted to see what the hype was about but was super disappointed. The dance floor is just a long rectangle that backs up directly against the bar. There’s absolutely no room for foot traffic to get from one end to the other so be prepared to shove through the densely packed crowd just to escape.Did not realize that the group we bought tickets for wouldn’t perform until super late and the opening DJ was just awful. The music wasn’t anything you could dance to even if you could find space enough in the crowd to move. Most of the venue is dedicated VIP space and us plebes were left with the sardine dance floor. I was hoping for a venue similar to coconut club but all I got was a boring box.We stayed for an hour and a half mostly because we made the effort to actually go out that night. If it weren’t for that and the expensive tickets I would’ve stayed even less. We didn’t even see the band we bought tickets for.
So the disco dancers and disco balls are very cool! The music is obviously the best thing about the venue. Great great great shows! HOWEVER the worst thing about this place is the lack of room. You are stepping on people’s toes and having drinks spilled on you throughout the night. You can’t even lift your arms you’re packed so tight in the main room. They have tons of VIP sections but it seemed like 50% of the venue is VIP and even those section were packed pretty tight. I was worried about safety and counted 6 exits so at least they have that going for them. Because of the lack of room you could not get to the main bar area. If you wanted to go there you had to push and elbow your way through. The side room wasn’t much better but the bar in that room was better accessible.SELL LESS TICKETS or let less people in. I really took away from the experience and multiple times I found myself wanting to go somewhere else. If I didn’t love the opener I would have left. Lastly as a local Austin native it does not fit the Austin vibe at all. It’s more like a New York or Vegas type of place. If you want a local Austin vibe and that 70’s feel The Far Out Lounge is a much better option.
C’mon people! Live a little and have some fun! This place is aesthetically pleasing venue as it is a Fantastic place to Dance and get loose!! I went on Equality for Everyone Night and the place was Great for modern 70s disco and plane fun with strangers! We danced all night long and yes streamers and confetti were great as we danced! Yes a few spills on me but it is dancing and it happens! I will be back!!!!!!!✨😎 I want an 80s night now!!
Great overall aesthetic with cool lights and open space. No cover when I went and no line either but a good crowd inside. Two main issues 1) no dancing- at all (everyone was huddled in groups talking on the dance floor) which was probably because 2) they were playing low house that sounded like background music. Can’t complain too much though!
This venue is not the vibe. It’s meant for intimate shows but they keep booking big acts and overselling for the space. The crowd is often rude, overpacked and no dancing. Trying to navigate through the crowd is next to impossible. The venue boasts a high class setting, but honestly it is more like an attraction and misses the mark completely. Artists would do better not booking here.
VERY CROWDED ON WEEKENDS. And VERY EXPENSIVE. Expect $20+ drinks and extra charges for service. Definitely not what Austin is known for. This place needs to close.
My man, my man - let me do you a solid. If you’re looking for a funky joint to get your groove on and boogie down to the max, you found the crib for you - this pad is full of groovy vibes, brick houses, and casanovas. Swing-on by donning your freshest threads and you’re guaranteed a funking good time.So here’s the skinny - all my cats droppin’ comments down below need to stop buggin’ out if you catch my drift - just take a chill pill and we’ll catch ya on the flip side. So I’ma have to check ya later and Ill see you at Superstition!
Most people come out to the clubs at 11pm. There was a line of ~200 people taking me 1 hour to get in. I really wanted to check out the venue for future EDM events and was disappointed. The disco theme and 70s night was not advertised correctly. It was straight house music all night. The floors were incredibly wet and sticky from spilt drinks (soaked my bell bottoms pant), packed, and too small of a venue to fit everyone (constant pushing/dancing into each other). If you like your space dont come here. 1 beer had an automatic service fee of $1.54, asked for a tip, and was $11. Restrooms had no paper. Needs a huge improvement.
Bad things: SO crowded. If you enjoy feeling like a single sardine in an already overstuffed can of sardines, welcome. Swim inside. This is your place. You’d have no ability to drink a beverage without spilling it all over yourself and the floor because you will be jostled here. There is no room to dance. If you also enjoy having your feet stepped on and the bottom of your shoes sticky, drop everything—Superstition is THE spot to be. You’d like to park for free? That’s too bad. Here’s an $18 valet for the huge parking lot right in the front of the building that you could clearly park by yourself.Good things: there’s a coat check right by the entrance ($5). The atmosphere is solid. Lots of mirrors, disco balls, go-go dancers.
This club will not last - absolutely no room to dance or even be comfortable standing. How is it possible to be at the front and the back of the crowd at the same time? Prepare to have drinks spilled on you. The artist I came to see was great but never coming back to this venue
Super cool spot. I’ve seen some of the biggest music artists here and they have an awesome staff
I really hated being here. The venue has potential but it is crowded and small. Difficult to get around with all the finance bros standing around.Sound quality was alright.Location is interesting.Wont be going back.
Vibes are off - felt like the bad parts of Vegas. If you’re used to chill vibes from typical EDM shows you will not get that here. Decor is cool but that’s the only upside. Don’t see myself coming back - Concourse is where it’s at.
Really cool atmosphere but extremely crowded. Upstairs is less crowded if you have a wristband. However I was up there trying to get a drink a few weeks ago and the brunette bartender was a complete B and almost ruined my night. She made my friend and I wait for almost an hour for a drink and literally put her hand up and told to hold on. Literally was staring at her and she didn’t even acknowledge us. Maybe she has something against me or my friend but she seemed extremely petty. Serving every man before us. Id recommend Mayfair or even dirty sixth before subjecting myself to that bad attitude service.
Easily the best club in town. Since its a club and not a concert, if you want space Id recommend a table. Upstairs is beautiful with great views. Seems like a lot of the bad reviews are written their competition and not based in reality.
One of the best clubs in Austin. They bring in amazing DJs and have a really high-quality sound/visual system. Beautiful and classy building, the staff is friendly and professional. Highly recommend it!
Experience was a little weird. Enjoyed venue, the dancers added a great vibe. The bottle service girls, were noticeably a bit twitchy and possibly on drugs. One in particular was very rude. Wouldn’t recommend for that reason.
Its crowded but most good shows are. Audience in my experience has always been very respectful and seasoned enough to respect personal space. Its an small club by design, so take all the negative reviews knocking it for this reason with a grain of saltCame for LP Giobbi x2 and Dombresky. All shows were well producedThe club itself has a very nice outdoor seating area and side bar/lounge area to chill for a bit. I have never had to wait to use the bathroom. Line to get in has never taken more than 5 minutes. Bartenders always happy to give me a glass of water for free. Dont know what else more I could needThe reviews dont really tell the whole story abt this club. Anytime our group wants to catch a good intimate show well come here
I enjoyed the show here, but as other commentors mentioned the space is wayyy too small to dance. People are constantly bumping into you. The drink prices were decent in my opinion. If they were to open up the upstairs, Im sure that could solve a lot of their spacing issues. The sound system was okay nothing spectacular. With the big acts they bring out this space defintely feels a bit too cramped.
Cool spot! Wish they did more hip hop mixes but great time
If you’re excited to see an EDM artist who is playing here, I’m sorry.- The vibes are awful.- I’m not sure anyone in attendance actually knows the artist playing.- The acoustics are trash.- The layout doesn’t work unless you’re VIP.- There’s a dress code haha.
I went to this night club for a DJ set from Loud Luxury last night and to say I was disappointed was an understatement. I love disco and was so excited to go to this new disco club but firstly they lied about when doors opened and marketed that they opened at eight when they didn’t open until nine so people were arriving at 8 PM to learn that they couldn’t get in. They said they would have multiple openers before the show but they only had one group Bombay something and they played for like 3 1/2 hours and they weren’t good. To make matters worse they didn’t let anyone know that Loud Luxury wasn’t going on until 1230 and once you scan your ticket you’re trapped inside you can’t come and go. It was also freezing cold in the venue. There’s nowhere to sit. It’s all bad.
Venue was very small, they oversold Fisher tickets. Some staff was very rude!!! And drinks are very expensive. However, Joe and Mason were excellent, friendly and professional. They deserve a raise!! The only reason for a 4 star review and not a 1.
This place has a gotten quite a few big name EDM DJs, but I’d prefer to go somewhere else or not see the DJ at all. The place is not set up for an EDM venue (not PLUR or rave vibes). The crowd seems to just be a bunch of bros and people who want to club rather than rave, but feel like they’re at a rave even tho it’s not actual rave vibes because they’re mean. I’m guessing it has a lot to do with the club owners and promoters who are inviting the “bro mentality” people who don’t know anything about raves. Very well decorated and seems like a high class experience, but not a place to dance or truly enjoy yourself because you’re squished like sardines around a bunch of self entitled a**holes. Don’t have big name EDM DJs who play at raves if it’s not going to be rave vibes where you can dance and the crowd is friendly. Better off at The concourse, kingdom or the Marc.
Glad I got free tickets to a show here, happy they have a big screen for visuals, great sound and an active dancefloor with very little seating (this is a good thing).
Club is very small, cool set up, but not run well. I went to see Diplo and ended up leaving at 12:50am because he hadn’t even taken the stage yet. If his set was just an after party appearance, that’s cool but tell people that then. Don’t advertise a Diplo concert with doors open at 9pm.
It’s gorgeous & vibrant for sure! But to be honest, I was overwhelmed. The music was loud, light show was lit, and the club was packed!! Then out of the crowd came Caycee, who helped our group get set up on the mezzanine. BEST views, vibes, and is the place I’d go back again and again. Everyone was polite, service was on point, and we had a damn good time.
Beautiful interior design - the best nightclub Ive seen open in Austin in 10 years! Super interesting and exciting to see this old Austin space finally open again as Austin grows. Opening weekend lineup was fire. Super friendly staff, and there is also a cocktail lounge for chill swanky vibes
What a breeding ground of toxic masculinity. Its 100% false advertising to sell tickets to see a show, say it starts at 9pm and actually not start the performer until 1am. I didnt pay to see a lame unknown DJ for 4 hours straight. Hoping people see thru you trying to upsell them on subpar drinks, sparklers, and gogo dancers until the main act starts because you cant leave and re-enter once they scan your ticket.Additionally, that place is a safety hazard - felt over-capacity for multiple hours, with drinks spilled and cups lying on the floor, since it was basically a mosh pit.
Great venue! I had heard mixed reviews before going to the LP Giobbi show on Saturday, but this place is amazing! They really invested in great sound, lights & the screen behind the DJ is incredible!
This place is just….no. All the reviews are spot on. Venue itself looks great and feels upscale. The “dance floor” crowds the bar like crazy and there’s just no way to move around or get drinks. The vibe is always terrible with rude and unfriendly people. Could be cool but turns out it’s terrible and impossible to have a good time here.
Music is repetitive EDM, not 70s disco. There is no place to sit by the dance floor unless you want to pay. People have to dance with drinks in hand that get spilled on the floor. High-priced drinks. Nice decor & friendly staff. I went there to dance, not good for that.
I mean its alright as a whole. Cool building and design but the local openers played the same repetitive house music nonstop without variation of actual good songs. Like I understand its probably their music and wanna get it heard but its meh at best like play some good tunes. Workers are blasted off ket all the time taking shots at the bar. Vip supervisor was kinda rude and snapped at the poor hostess while she was overwhelmed and the only one doing her job upfront while the rest of the team was inside partying. Theres better places to go but if you got deep pockets then go for it I guess?
The local DJ sucks no where to sit n smell butThe headliners are great
If you enjoy looking at hot chicks, people with money, people pretending they have money and people that cant dance but are astute head bobbers its the place to be (hoity toity). Aesthetically its a feast for the eyes, great job there, but below par sound system.I agree with the other reviews, its cramped - not a place for true clubbers to go dance, instead a place to be seen.
Vowed never to come back. Saw one show here and it was too crowded and so uncomfortable that we almost broke down and bought a table, it’s that poorly designed. The drinks are $17 each. It would be ok if you get a table, but aside from that this place is not it.
WOW WOW!! This is definitely the new hotspot in Austin. It looks great inside and you can really tell that they put a lot of work into making this place into a badass venue! Crowded AF - but better than being dead! Drinks were great, music was great, bathrooms were clean...cant wait to come back!!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING HERE!!!!! I purchased a table and couldn’t make it on my bachelorette weekend so I canceled my table and they still took the full amount of $1,125 FOR NOTHING!!!!! I tried calling, emailing, and no response!!! Worst experience I’ve had with a wanna be club. DO NOT GO HERE !!! They are crooks.
Nice venue but way overpriced drinks some guy at the first register charged me $36 for red bull vodka double last night. Never in my life have I paid that. Definitely never buying drinks here. Just sneak them in next time.
Honestly such a disappointment. False advertisement for a “disco” club - it’s just repetitive trendy/house music. This is not a disco club at all, just a huge sardine crowd of people talking. We went in hoping to dance to some great disco/70s/80s music, and the closest thing we got was one poor remix of an ABBA song with no one dancing.
Very disappointed, paid to see a show and the main performance doesn’t start until 1am? Should have specified that doors at 9 meant 4 hours of an opener…Along with that the bar staff served out of dirty glasses with lipstick residue from not being washed properly. Don’t waste your money.
If you’re coming here to dance, look elsewhere. Very overcrowded. I don’t know why they are calling this a disco club without playing even a hint of disco music. Minimal house all night is boring and repetitive. It is also waaaaay too bright in here. Maybe it would be better with good music. 👎🏼
Bad sound system…headliner had to announce the build and drop on a microphone due to the lack of bass and weirdly asked for shots from the staff. Guess he was bored too. Also, don’t pay attention to the dress code that seems very stringent when you buy tickets. It’s not enforced at all…torn jeans and hats are supposedly forbidden, but there was a lot of that around. Some guy in a beanie, Oakley sunglasses (at midnight in a dark club) and torn jeans elbowed me and yelled at me for “invading his space” for an hour while I danced with my feet firmly planted so as to not accidentally bump into anyone. All of his attire was against the dress code and security was nearby when he poured a drink on me and didn’t intervene. The costumes the women servers are forced to wear while dancing and serving bottles are misogynistic even by night club standards.
Superstition has become the most reliable club! paul always shows the girls a good time!!
Packed. Pushy crowds. Pretentious bro culture. Pricey and mandatory valet. Good, but not great cocktails. Love the premise but after a dozen attempts concluded it’s usually not the experience we’d hope for.
GORGEOUS! All the vibes. Doesnt remind me of anywhere because theres nothing like it.. in Austin especially. Huge parking lot, valet, coat check, a furry wall! Lots of room to dance! And... the best staff :,)
ABBA night was not ABBA night. Mostly mix songs. Totally disappointing as a first timer and will not recommend to others as a person raised in Austin. Also, the way this place was initially pitched, I thought it was going to be more Astrology themed, but its nothing like that. Reminds me of crowds from Rainey street.
A sold out show is unbearable. Absolutely zero space to move around or dance. They need to sell fewer tickets. Sound and production were good but the lack of space killed everyone’s vibe
A friend’s summary of this place was “the vibes were off”. After visiting for a show, the vibes are indeed off. Lots of bros, rude crowd, bad energy, expensive. Not a fun experience. Won’t be back.
I’m convinced everyone that goes will never go again. For how expensive the tickets are, they should NOT be overpacking the place like they do. Literally no space to walk to the point that the bar line is 100% in the crowd too. Save your suffering and money. Go to The Concourse. Or even Emo’s LOL.
This is the hot spot for sure. The venue is amazing, albeit small, and they are booking solid talent all the time. Highly recommended.
I love this space for the high-end car shows/ events.
They force you to download 2 apps , and then the staff doesn’t know how to use them. Has some potential with the disco balls and mirrors, but for now the Vibe reminds me of Dallas.
Had a great time here. One of my favorite places in atx
Been there a few times! Aesthetics are on point. And I love that they mix it up with big acts and local DJs. Feels like you’re in a disco time machine!
Never going here again. An apricot could tune the sound system better. The drinks were just off. Vibe was all out of whack
I’ve never seen a ‘DJ’ clear a dance floor faster than Portugal the man did tonight. Refund the ticket holders that was gross.
Honestly, I was super excited to see one of my favorite artists to play here but the vibes were off. People were so rude it’s such a shame
Drinks overpriced and watered down. Music is decent and vibe is cool. Come content and it might be a good first stop of the night.
I went to a Taylor Swift tribute night here that was heavily marketed as a Taylor Swift night and every couple of songs they would play other music. Felt like false advertising.
Over priced drinks that taste like water and ultra small space do not make a good nightclub. Friendly bouncers though
Do not have structure to support the kinda of DJs that they bring. Very small space. Forget about dancing or getting a drink when it’s packed.
The best club in Austin. Disco vibes, beautiful cocktail lounge with a giant patio and the best dance floor. 🪩✨
Hands down one of the best clubs Ive been to. Vibes upon vibes! Cannot wait to go back. 10 out of 5 stars.
Supercrowded, far from high end. If you go to a concert be prepare to wait until 1:00am.
Incredibly mid club. Don’t waste your money here. Look out for the red headed bouncer with a black eye grabbing guests too.
Any chance that RADWULF will play there? Even if it’s support that guy was easily The best live performance I saw at lights all night music festival!
Drinks are insanely overpriced. All the DJs of the night sounded identical. Can’t be 70s themed without a little bit of FUNK and groove.
Do not recommend for GA. Good sound and aesthetics but way too many people for the space. Be prepared to sardine.
Doesn’t get EDM experience. Straight money grab. Drink prices expensive and became more expensive throughout the night. This place will not last.
Music sounds great and lights are amazing but they cram waaaay to many people in a small spot.
A canned sardine has more room to boogie than someone here on a sold out night
I booked 2 tickets. After 7 PM show someone buy my ticket from now I only have 1 ticket I supposed with my friend now I have to cancel my plan!!! Suck systems
A little tight for the amount of people we had.
SCAM!!!!! These people will charge your card multiple times.
Amazing venue with great service and drinks. Thomas was the best!
Pressing charges for physical assault by the staff. Enjoy 🤣 the worst staff I’ve ever seen in my existence.
I really liked this place. After reading the reviews, I thought about not going! Fortunately, I went and had a great time.
Paid 70$ for drinks then days later get another charge for 50$. What’s up with that?
Wonderful spot for a curated music experience, fusing modernity with 70s vibes. Solid 10/10! ;)
Great place to get your groove on! Lighting and sound is on point, can’t wait for future events!
Best ever
Best night of my life!
Bad vibes, too much highlighting of the VIP section and bottle service. Meh.
Come here if you like human trafficking and NPCs
Don’t recommend…the bottle girls are a piece of work, for sure.
Had a blast dancing
Best club in Austin!
Pretty cool spot!
STOP OVERSELLING TICKETS. THERE IS NO ROOM TO DANCE THATS ALL THIS VENUE IS MISSING!!!!
They oversold on the show. Way too packed.
Don’t take cash…, they only take card. nahh.never going again.
Worst Night club in Austin! Managers very rude !!!
Awful experience, oversold, overpriced, & overhyped venue
Dance the night away at superstition!
Great vibe and amazing drinks!
Worst music venue in Austin
Best music venue in Texas!
Some of the worst human beings I’ve ever seen come to this place.
One word - Amazing!
Don’t
This place is trash...
Music was whack
You kidding me?
Come here if you feel like being crowded like a sardine in a can
