Bungalow Restaurant, Beach Bar and Hookah Lounge

I spent a few days in Atlantic City for work (for a conference) and it was so nasty there, I didn’t want to really go outside… From the homeless and drug users roaming the streets begging, to the horribly crumbling buildings and smell of urine and weed – It’s simply not an appealing place. Then I visited this place and was immediately impressed! Bungalow has two places in the same location, one if beach front on the boardwalk and the other is actually right on the beach, in the sand. It’s got beautiful views and is set up quite nicely. Not only that, but all the people I saw there the day I went looked nothing like the people I saw most everywhere else in this city… I actually felt like I was in Southeast Florida, especially with the palm trees offering shade to this spot!!Service was excellent! Nadine did an excellent job taking care of our small group. The food offerings are pretty decent and they have a large cocktail and bottle list. Plenty of “cabana” style seating, except larger for each and it’s first come, first served there.Overall, this was a great visit… Highly recommend stopping in!

Great location right off the boardwalk. The public parking behind the restaurant was easy and convenient but not free.We all tried the Bungalow burgers and it was good.The servers were all very friendly and helpful.

Outdoor dining was great, very nice and cozy atmosphere. After sitting we realized the tables around us were smoking. So we immediately asked for a table change. It took quite a while, in fact after we got our drinks until somebody honored our request! Apart from that, the service was good. The food was nice but the options were very limited. An offer for a 3 meal course for 29$ was available with a couple of options for the main dish, and two of us used that. It was a good deal. Our general experience was pleasant.

Service was good. Good location on the boardwalk. Hookah was good and lasted a good time. The drinks were good. Espresso martini could use some Bailey’s or something creamy and using chilled espresso would make it better so it’s not watered down.

The food was very good and hot. The waitress was nice and attentive. What I didnt like ,if you pay with a credit card you was charged 3% extra. So, I opted to pay with cash. I also didnt like the automatic 20% tip. I probably wouldve tip more but since I was ordered to pay this tip that all she got! The prices are about average forA.. but I asked for onions in my corned beef hash and they changed me .75 cents. First time I ever was charged for a condiment.

Very clean great tasting food friendly and attentive staff . My first time eating here and I will definitely be coming back and will recommend. ThankYou for the experience.

I just had breakfast here and from the hostess to the waitress and the food everything was on point. I was seated right the way. The waitress was quick and attentive. The food came fast and it was so delicious!

Came here for breakfast with friends and food was delicious. I ordered the western omelette. I’ll definitely give this place another try maybe for lunch or dinner whenever I’m in the area again.

We just so happened to “stumble upon” this place and spent 5 hours enjoying the music, hookah, chicken salad and multiple pina coladas with Bailey’s. Excellent place to take a break when spending a day on the Boardwalk.

We asked for bread with our meal 2x and never got any.The cheesecake desert was still frozen when served.They automatically add a 20% service/gratuity to your check and 3% if you pay by card.Food was good and prices were okay. The appetizers were very good, but very small portions (for the price). About half the amount you would expect for the cost. $18 for about 3/4 of a cup of calamari.

My husband and I went to Atlantic City for the fourth of July and came across this place while walking the Boardwalk. I liked the ambiance so we decided to return the next day (on the 4th) for dinner. We were seated as soon as we arrived, but the service went downhill from there. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, I was finally able to get a servers attention to come to our table and take our order - mind you, not even the server for our section. She took our order and we decided to just get water, but he water never made it to our table... she never brought it. We finally received our food after another decent wait and overall, it was okay - though I admit, the lack of service soured my taste. When we were ready for the check, it took us 20 minutes to track down another server and another 20 to get them to take my card and the bill. Overall, it was not a great experience and the food was not worth the price. Though I hope this was episodic and not a reflection of the restaurant as a whole, we were very turned off and we will not return if we are in Atlantic City. Maybe the beach bar is better.

We had the most amazing brunch at the Bungalow! So many styles of French Toast and Mimosas! Definitely a way to a girls heart! We were immediately approached by our server Lucy and taken care of with VIP treatment and a smile! She acknowledged us as tourist and offered to take a pic which is always fun! The food taste impeccable. Middle range pricing but beautiful patio and worth every penny! We will definitely visit when on the Boardwalk!

The vibes were at an all time high yesterday at the beach bar! The frozen drink selection was good, we ended up going for multiple rounds of the gin lemonade. The food also hit the spot. Will definitely come back before the end of the summer.

First the services are very friendly. I have high hopes with this place,, however the food are not as good as it looks First its mid June they still dont have full dinner menu. The $29 3 course menu is not a good options. The starter its only salad and the salmon and the steak serving are really small. The skirt steak is very chewy and tough for medium well the clams is really salty and serving really small. Now the desert canoli or cheesecakes, they taste store bought a and old. There are better options around.. also the bill includes 20% tips.

Scam doesn’t show drink prices and then you realize the drinks cost $25 + a 20% tip. Be careful for places like this I’ll never be back. There’s places in the area with way better prices and scenery just up the boardwalk.

I came to this restaurant about 2 times with my daughter, both times we visited Atlantic city.My daughter’s pancakes came extremely uncooked, soggy, and drenched with salted butter. The pancake was extremely salty. Not even 10 minutes later gave her extreme food poisoning.The service is absolutely terrible, the management is rude and don’t care about you. The host noticed my daughter in the restroom vomiting with food poisoning, the host discussed what happened with the manager. The manager told her NOT to compensate.After, the host came up to us and asked if the food she ate was what upset her stomach. My daughter proceeded to say “Yes, it was from the food”. Soon after the host just said sorry and left. As my daughter and I were walking out the door the host and manager made eye contact and the manager started busting out laughing.Didn’t even offer a compensation or credit. I truely wanted to give this restaurant a second chance after my first bad experience with the service, but I will never come back again.

So evan, is the proprietor of this newly opened establishment. It is next door to Bungalow Restaurant on the Boardwalk in Atlantic City. Its only open 2 weeks ago they have yet to register with Google however I like to play so much I wanted to post a review already you can feel warm family style environment with with a great addition of a traditional Stiles Sicilian slice, along with many variations on that tradition. Highly recommend.. they have have indoor and outdoor seating on the boardwalk.

Menu and food and everything was fine. Nothing to write about but no complaints. Watch out for the seagulls, one came to our table and swiftly ate a thick cut beacon and they did not refund us but it was fine it was funny.

Great location, bartender was friendly and attentive, location is amazing.... However, their specialty drinks are $19 and watered down. None of the menus have prices either , I was stunned when I received my bill. They also charge an automatic 20% gratuity.Just a rip off.

Waited 10 min to be greeted by our waitress, waited another 20 minutes for bottled tap water that is charged by the bottle. Didn’t receive our water and we left because it genuinely seemed like we were being pranked. Waitress was dismissive and unapologetic when I let her know we were leaving. Every other customer was visibly displeased with the service as well. Horrible and disappointing for what you expect to be a pretty beach side meal.

Food was basic. Ambience was great. Waitress was terrible. Took too long to come around and check for refills and never asked if everything was good. Felt ignored. I judge service by how long my empty glass sits before I’m offered a refill and my glass set empty for over 15 minutes, not good.

We sat at the beach bar for a few drinks and appetizers. My Mermaid Water drink was awesome! Atmosphere was nice and it was not crazy busy. Highly suggest stopping here. They do add an automatic 20% service fee to the bill so just know that.

Beware!!!! Stay away from this business! They are charging enormous fees just to eat there! Too expensive, they charge me 16 buck for 2 small OJ plus 11.20 service fee forced tip, 3% credit card processing fee , I would not recommend this business and they should be closed charging these fees for food. And the food was just ok, I feel overcharged!!!!!!horrible experience! It’s in your best interest to stay away from this business!

The best beach bar in atlantic city with great music and wide variety choice of drinks….Nice beach view..Food options are very limited. Veg food options are just 1 or 2! We got bungalow fries.Bottled service available for other side of this bar dedicated for premium seating.Spent 2 solid hours on a weekend and its worth visiting this place if you are looking for a nice place to hangout at atlantic city.

Second time here and this visit was not what I expected after having such a great time my first visit. Bouncer for VIP was “selective” about who he let into the VIP section. Some he let in and gave bands for free, others he turned them away telling them it was a $300 minimum. I watched him do this with at least four different groups of people. The bartender was clearly intoxicated and very hostile when I tried to ask what alcohol I was given after I requested a specific type of liquor. In short, I found out they cut their liquor, meaning, I’m paying for premium liquor and am being served bottom shelf. If any management reads this, please know, I drink Casamigos Blanco(has a vanilla undetone) often enough to know that you put something else in those bottles. Such a great establishment cutting costs by cutting alcohol is not okay. Will not be back.

The place has an amazing spot despite they don’t serve full menu at the beach bar. Food is okay, but expensive that what they offer and can definitely do better.The waitress was very friendly.The chicken spinach sandwich was the best, stay away from the burger sandwich!Next time, I will try it at night time.

Loved this beach bar! I came alone on a Saturday night to watch the Tropicana fireworks at 10pm, and I got the best view from Bungalow. The music was great, staff was friendly and the place was gorgeous. Definitely coming back! 🥰

We came here for lunch and enjoyed the outdoor seating location! The burgers here are very delicious.I was disappointed in the margarita- it tasted heavily like sour mix.Hookahs here are also $50+ and overpriced.

In summary: terrible service, decent food, great atmosphere but the service ruined dinner for us - to remove mandatory tip, speak with a manager. Vibes are good, music is good, scenery is good. But since 20% gratuity is mandatory, the service is so slow we have never ever seen our waitress in our area at all (the outdoor section). She was indoors the whole time, but the indoor section was empty and had no customers at all! Did not replace our bottles of tap water when they were both empty. Told me the guest wifi has no password requirement when the Bungalow - Guest wifi prompts for a password.After ordering food, we then decided to get shisha/hookah as well but it took us having to approachthree other staff members on three separate occasions to flag our server down. Even then, it took her another 5 minutes to get back to us and by then we had decided not to get the shisha anymore due to time constraints.Food also took a ridiculously long time to be served, about 25 minutes. The cauliflower steak was amazing though - the cauliflower was roasted really well, had great texture and was pretty tasty. We also got the mussels and flatbread, which were alright. Pesto pasta was way too cheesy in a way that overpowered all other flavors and the chicken bits were tough.We then waited 10 minutes to get the check and another 10 more before we decided to just walk to the till and pay it ourselves. Other servers could not access our tab so we had to wait for our server anyway.They also charge the NJ sales tax on the gratuity, rather than pre-tip, so be warned. When we walked up to pay, we asked to remove the mandatory gratuity which required a manager to process - but just wanted to give any potential customers reading this a heads up that it is possible, in case you receive terrible service like we did. (We still left a tip but smaller.)

For the time it took to get a hookah I could have drove to NY and back. Terrible service super slow and the waiter pretty much avoided us every chance he got. Did not order food but I will definitely NEVER go here again, would not recommend

I came here with my mother, and we just ordered appetizers. I recommend the garlic parmesan chicken wings. The place is clean, an the service is good too.

Worst Hookah Ive had.. they charge 45$ for a hookah and they give you 2 coals only (more is extra chatrge) the person making the shisha does NOT know how to fix a proper hookah at ALL, pokes the holes on the surface so the draw is very difficult, very little tobacco in the bowl, so the flavor does not come strong and the shisha pipe itselft is cheap quality.. some Chinese brand Hookah, rusted with air leaks everywhere... definitely avoid!!!

Kiana, the hostess, was very professional and polite. I was seated quickly. Imani and Kayla were extremely attentive and extremely sweet. I’m visiting from the west coast and wanted to escape the heat (Which i underestimated) so this was a pleasant spot to hide & cool down. Food was delicious too!

Food looked good my cousin enjoyed drinks needed more alcohol and I’m a light weight. Service was fine up until they added 20% gratitude and since I didn’t have change didn’t give them $0.60 towards tip the waiter came back and was like “the bill is short $0.60 suppose to me $135.60 including the “suggested” tip. Or $136.00 if you want to round up..... 😣. You really came back for .60 and have the nerve to say u not giving me my .40 back. Petty

My cousin and I came here for breakfast and it was pretty good. We sat outside. They had hookah so I was happy. Our service was nice and fast. I would definitely go back again. Quick bite to eat and some hookah will doThe hookah was bussing and the food was decent.

First off the restaurant is very nice. But this place is truly overpriced for what they are serving. The food is sub par. The drinks tasted like there was more lime juice than liquor. Why is it that plain fries are $16 and nothing special about them. The mussels were not good at all. They need to work on whatever sauce they are using to perfect it. Now I am home with stomach pain after eating them. If you want to go to a place and waste money this would be the best place to go. So disappointed. Especially for the high prices.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast while staying at the Tropicana. We ate outside and enjoyed the beautiful outside dinning. Umbrella’s shaded all the tables and seats from the hot sun and everything was clean and beautifully decorated. Our server, Lucy was on top of everything and made sure our coffee and water was always filled. (Great personality)The young men were quick to clear plates and clean tables staying on top of the cleanliness of the dining area! The music was delightful!!! What a pleasant experience. Went over there for a concert and wanted some hookah , we went here to get some hookah PAID 45$ for a hookah that was not hitting! they brought it out with a cover we wasnt even there for 35 mins and lifted the coal cover to move the hookah they had 2 on there but it was NOTHING left by time we noticed! we are hookah smokers , it was no good and the aluminum foil wasnt even burnt !

Server was friendly. Food was average. They add a service fee to your bill and a non cash adjustment. I think youre better off going to a different location for the price. My bill was $62.73 then with all the extra charges final cost $82.15. Before you walk in they have breakfast advertises for $7.99. This is how they get people to walk in.

I have a weird and difficult food allergy and the chef came out personally to our table three times as she was preparing my food to make sure my meal was safe to consume and that none of the ingredients would trigger my allergy. On top of that the food was also delicious and I ate every bite. The atmosphere was nice and the server did a great job. Ive never been cared for so well at a restaurant. I would highly recommended dining here.

My boyfriend read many reviews about this place before we chose to go for breakfast and I must say, we had a great experience here. First, the coffee is amazing! He had a pineapple mimosa and that was also great. We both settled on the omelets; me getting the granger and him getting the western and they came out hot and really filled with meat in mine and plenty of onion and peppers in his. The potatoes were nice as well. A Manager came up to us and asked us how our meal was and I just thought it was nice that she did that. I will say, for how amazing our experience was it was also costly and the tip is already put into the check, which is fine, but we tipped our waitress an extra tip in cash because we knew they probably do a pool tip.

BEWARE: 22% service fee and 3% Credit Card fee automatically included!!!!! They tell you after you order.The sound system is awesome, the view and the vibe from the beach bar is nice, the cocktails are good and the staff is reasonably responsive, but the place is a bit of a rip off—very limited menu selection, drinks are overpriced, and they automatically include a 22% service fee, and charge an additional 3% if you use a card. See the fine print in the photo of the menu? A chicken Caesar salad costs $18, but after sales tax, service fees, and 3% credit card fee, you’ll be paying $26–for a salad! Save your money unless you want to overpay for a nice view.

First time eating here and didn’t disappoint! Jose was our server and he was attentive to us since we walked in! Got us a table right away, and also served us drinks, food, and checked on how we were frequently. Calamari was slightly overdone but the shrimp cocktail, lobster raviolis, and scallops were bomb! Jose also recommended a drink for me which I took a liking to, very friendly and attentive.

I enjoyed a lovely granola bowl. I definitely will continue to order it again & again.I did not like the initial attitude of the staff, (the ladies were dismissive, huddled together inside then outside, acting like they were doing me a favor) this particular day. I rationalized this could be my perception & concentrated on my granola bowl. Attitudes disappeared, I enjoyed the food & a tip was in order.

We have now had another great experience with the Bungalow from seating to food to service.First, the location is great and ideal for a vacation feel.Second, Rachel the waitress was great and offered some good food choice suggestions, as well as promoting the Chef’s Dinner menu line up.Third, this is one of the best parts of the experience… when my wife was looking for an ingredient for her dish and Lisa, the Master Chef, personally came out to explain what happened to the ingredient and food safety.That doesn’t happen often or ever.Obviously great owner culture since it starts at the top.She also didn’t know we live 2 blocks away and could be regulars.The Pasta was outstanding.The Capresi Panini was great.Gyro in the past was also great.Try them for sure.Ed and Linda

Ordered salmon and it literally was just one piece of salmon for $32.00. Never again!

Just left there, had the worst experience in Atlantic City dining there. We ordered the bruschetta & Buratta and the bread was stale on both items. We made a complaint to the waiter Joseph- which he said he would tell “them about it” and he never followed up with us at all. Service with him was in-personable btw. Our 2nd time there and seems like the food has gotten worst.

I went on a Saturday. The entrance was free They checked your bag at the front and no water bottles were permitted. There was a DJ playing EDM it was fun and upbeat. They have a pool but you have to be vip to access. They have a general area that is nice. I had a nice drink and the beach views were relaxing. I especially loved the aesthetic and palm trees. Its a nice time 🙂 I would recommend it. Drinks are pricey but the music and atmosphere makeup for it. Service was great.

If you are looking to have a great meal for a great price $29.99 a 3 course meal saladentree and dessert come to the Bungalow Beach restaurant on the broadwalk dont spend your money on on other places. The atmosphere the vibe and from the minute walk in so serene bring your love one or come as a Family. As you are escorted right in the staff is so respectful you cant go wrong with a 3 course meal salad entree and dessert.I had the salmon and my husband had chicken Parmesan with marinara sauce it was as so good!!! The house salad 🥗 amazing the 🧀 cheesecake to die for. I have eatenhere for breakfast 🥞🍳 as well dont miss your opportunity to come and enjoy!!!

We’re never disappointed when we come. EXCEPT WHEN CLOSED!!! Lol Our server today was AMAZING. She truly helped bringing in our 2nd Wedding Anniversary awesome. Clapping for Sarah L. She’s a keeper. And reminded us so much of my little sis who’s an amazing and sweet retired server.

$35 for a double shot of Soco, and the DJ train wrecked almost every transition. Besides that it would be an awesome club if it didnt suck.

This place is terrible. We ordered 2 michelob ultras gave the bar tender a $50 bill. He came back with $23 in change and said gratuity was included. $27 for 2 beers is ridiculous and adding tip on top of it is robbery. I always tip for drinks and it should be an option based on service. Its a good thing we didnt start a tab we would have walked out of there broke.

The bar itself is clean, and a nice atmosphere. Music was great. With that being said, the prices of the food and drinks are outrageous. Nearly $200 for 3 appetizers, which were mediocre at best. Seemed like no one really want to be there working. I could understand if it was a busy night, but there was hardly anyone in the bar. We had to wait 20-30 minutes in between each drink and ask multiple times for items that were forgotten. When we were ready to go, we waited another half hour before I went to find the server myself and ask for our bill. If your going to charge a ridiculous 22% service fee and additional 4% for using a credit card, your servers should be working for that money and actually attentive to your customers. I saw the table behind us walk out after 1 drink because they were tired of waiting so long to be served.

Breakfast was delicious! The staff so attentive and very friendly! Kiana and Rachel were on top of it. They made our experience wonderful, we will be back for sure. If you are here stop in , you wont be sorry.

Heard the music from the beach decided to chill for the evening. Got drinks bouncer said we could sit anywhere! We thought great, music was great. didnt eat but 1 hr in waiters came up ask us if we wanted drinks we said no then they said we have to sit somewhere else the section was paid for by the people sitting next to us..🙄 fyi the people next to us said it was ok from the beginning. We moved sat on some chairs overlooking the beach then the same waiter who was stalking us ask if we order any drinks or had a tab running we said no. Then gave us a stink look like we were hobos. This left a terrible taste in our mouths and thus decided to leave. Be warn there is no cover but be prepared to be snubbed and treated rudely.

Keeping it short and to the point.-Terrible service. Waited 25 minutes before moving to the bar to be served.-Bartender seemed annoyed she had to be working. Short cold attitude. I get it, everyone has a bad day so this isnt a deal breaker for me but worth mentioning with everything else that went on.-No prices on the menu because the drinks are terribly over priced and possibly premade. Drinks are served in small plastic cups packed with ice to the rim. They want to squeeze every dollar out of you.-Hefty undisclosed service fee until you receive your bill. The last money grab they can do before you leave the establishment.Lots of other places to go to on the boardwalk or in one of the hotels with better service, better prices and no shady service fee. I havent visited a place ran like this in a long time.

Everything was pretty good. I gave a 4 because the food was just ok. I just the monte crisco add bacon and my friend got bacon potatoes and turkey sausage: the crisco was very very sweet even though I omitted the powder sugar and the ham was a little thicker then I like. The potatoes were more like scalloped then home fries. The service was good and the outdoor option is nice. I had the ave marie cocktail and it was delicious the fresh watermelon was refreshing. The cocktails were definitely tasty. There is an added 20% but it was good compared to other places for brunch in the area.

Two basic and weak drinks in small plastic cups with mostly ice - Titos with Club Soda and one cocktail from their menu, was $50.75. The bartender did not say anything about how expensive they were, the prices arent even on the menu, and they add about 25% to the price for paying with your card which they also dont disclose.The bartender coyly asked me if I wanted to leave my tab open, which I usually would assuming regular drink prices, but something about the way she asked made me inquire as to the price for those two drinks I just ordered. When I found out, I was shocked and closed tab. It felt like a scam to me. Two drinks each for me and my woman would have been over $100 and we wouldnt even be buzzed. Hard pass.TL;DR - go to Ballys Beach Bar instead. I went the next day and had a great experience with stiff drinks for a reasonable price. Right on the beach too and its a nicer, less pretentious venue.

Bungalow is wonderful! A guide recommended it to me while I was walking around looking for breakfast. She seemed very genuine and so I took her recommendation. This place has great service but more importantly the folks that work there are very genuine. Just very kind people. I had a montecristo sandwich and the challah French toast on it was nice and fluffy. A very simple sandwich which I appreciated. Thank you guys! Shout to to Imani! Hope to come back soon :)

Homemade cacio e pepe was so delicious! Our waitress was on top of things and had our food out fast as we were in a bit of a hurry. Definitely recommend for a cute dinner or lunch spot

One of my Friend and me went Bungalow Beach Bar. We find there clear plates and very clean tables , Top of cleanliness of dining area! we enjoyed a lot. Even we find near by Casino Games. I won couple of dollars. Bungalow beach bar its like a enjoyable outdoor brunch......and breakfast.

Ive been coming here for 14yrs or more. Always made it a breakfast stop. So disappointed this time. Food was okay prices were more than doubled and 20% tip is included in the check! Doesnt Matter if person or 20 ! I almost made this mistake adding a tip! When I mentioned it to waitress she said its on the menu! Bad business they should tell you when they give you the check! Mind you I told every table on the way out.

I was there 2 weeks ago and got the hookah there for $45. We got mango flavor and it was just horrible. We called the server over and they realized they didnt put enough water in the base for the hookah and thats why it wasnt workig. Well. Long story short the hookah still was terrible and we left after 17 mintues. They still chsrged us 45$ eventhough the hookah was not good at all. We asked for a discount atleast and they gave us $5 off. Like really. Never again.

STAY AWAY!!!!!! This is a horrible place!!! Food are disgusting, managers are irresponsible. I worked there last summer. They don’t work properly and the kitchen doesn’t meet hygiene standards at all. I’m warning prospective workers and j1 students, don’t even pass by near this place. Managers are bullying you and they don’t allow you to go for lunch break. They are not smart enough to register you as a j1 student to tax system which lead you loosing money. They want you to clock out even for lunch and toilet break. It’s disgusting anyway but they don’t even offer meal. Only stupid 20 percent discount. Terrible!!!!!!!

Poor service & mediocre food for high price when you realize that you’re being charge a 20% automatic gratuity fee (they’re lucky because their service did not warrant even a 5% tip!?!) AND a 4% credit card (not cash) fee - which we were not told or would have used cash! An hour an 1/2 to eat sub-standard breakfast (wait time to get our order taken was just under an hour - and not a busy weekday morning) & had to ask for coffee refills 3 times before getting any. VERY disappointing. I’d keep on walking by if I were you!

Ate here for breakfast after a bridal shower. Highly priced food not that good. Our server David was great though, he checked on us and exceeded our expectations. That was about the best thing here. I give it 2 stars because of David’s hospitality. Besides that everything is a zero.

The location and atmosphere is awesome, right on the beach steps from the boardwalk. The Saturday evening that we visited was kind of dead, but the DJ and surroundings made it fun. Despite how unbusy the establishment was, the service we received sitting at the table area was for the most part lacking. The drinks were definitely expensive (but tasty) and the hookah Id say was on-par with normal price. We got to see the Tropicana fireworks while there so that was a bonus. Im not sure we would revisit, unless the drink prices and service improve.

Basic breakfast for 6 people (each of us also got 1 mimosa) and the total was $235. The food was good but thought the price was outrageous.You also have spend a minimum of $600 if you have a reservation at the beach bar and they tell you when you book the reservation that the $600 can be spent on food, drinks and hookah so I assumed the $235 we spent at the restaurant would go towards that but nope. We had a good time, just very expensive.

Ok so we stumbled upon this walking on the boardwalk. Let me start off by saying the food was delicious. Server was great. Our biggest disappointment was the 2 drinks we ordered they are severely overpriced and contained little to no alcohol $32 for pineapple juice is absurd! Do yourself a favor only get beer with your meal.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Eclectic Lounge Bar, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. This hidden gem exceeded all my expectations, and I am thrilled to share my review as excellent.

My husband and I went to the beach bar for our anniversary. The amount I paid on my debit card was not the amount that came out of my checking account a few days later. Several calls to management went unanswered, and now I’m out money. Before knowing we’d get scammed on that, we decided to go to the restaurant for breakfast the following day. I ordered the Godiva pancakes ($17 - $2 more than the plain pancakes). They came out and only one of the three (the top one) actually had the peanut butter and chocolate chips in it. Absolute ripoff both times. Never ever going back.

Great ambience... worst sever ever and expect 20% service fees automatically added on. Came to AC to celebrate wedding anniversary with my family and expected alot better service than being greeted at the table with what can I get you. Server had terrible attitude and food came out cold.

Great place with outdoor seating; good beer selection. Menu doesnt overwhelm you and everything looked wonderful. We had the hummus-feta-tzatziki appetizer, chicken panini, and smoked turkey wrap. All delicious! We plan to visit again on future trips to Atlantic City.

I visited the restaurant on 9/25/21. The food was good but not outstanding. My friend ordered 3 pancakes for $15.00🙄😯. I did not like the fact that a service fee of $14.85 was added to a bill in which there were only two eating. I strongly suggest that if you want breakfast you go somewhere else!! I have no plans to ever eat at the Bungalow Restaurant again🤬🤬

Nice spot but absolute rip off! $91 for 4 shots . They are out of their minds . Its not that good .also be aware of your receipts .they charge resort fees and service fees . Had over $30 worth of “extra “charges. Hopefully they are giving a tip to their servers out of that . Because who can afford to tip even more after all those fees . . .

Fun place and great spot right on the beach. Our server Jasmine was fantastic and would recommend trying to get seated in her area. She’s a joy and during a slightly harrowing moment with one patron, she jumped to the rescue.

This is a very serene setting. Step out your door right onto the sand. Enjoy dawn breaking over the water and beautiful sunsets.The cottages are an older ancient feel but are very clean and very accommodating. The bed was very comfortable and nice lil kitchenette.Landscaping around the place is beautiful. Relax in the white sand and listening to the waves and the sea gulls.Its just a beautiful place to renew relax and rejuvenate.

First of all I ordered wings and a sandwich meal and two drinks. My bill came to 71 dollars!!! That is outrageous and a rip off!!! The wings were ok I could of made them at home and the sandwich was dry with no flavor. So they over charge you for food thats 1 star and priced at 5 Star. I wont be coming back for that reason because i feel like I did not get what I paid for at all!!!!!!!!

We had breakfast here two mornings in a row this weekend. Dj was very good. Food was also great, had poached eggs and the yogurt. Food was served promptly and servers and hosts were all very nice even though it was very busy. Highly recommend

A couple of friends and I went here about a week ago. The drinks we’re good and the bartender was attentive. The only reason I rated this place so low is because they close WAY to early. We were supposed to meet up with more people there but the bouncer didn’t let them in because they were already closed. It was 7:30. Who closes a bar at 7:30??? Especially since the bartender said they close at 8. And the drinks were very over priced too. I ended up spending almost 200$ there on 4 drinks. I rather go to another bar instead of trying this one again.

In all of my frequents of Atlantic city this was one of the restaurants I had yet to visit so I went to this restaurant last night. I dont know if its because the place was a bit crowded or what but we waited 30 minutes before anyone came to take our orders, actually no one ever did and we left. Also when we came in initially we had bags from shopping on the boardwalk and the man at the front said he had to take the bags. We had no problem giving it to him but then they were left upfront, alone by his podium where anyone couldve just taken them. I never got food or anything so I cant tell you about that. I suggest if anyone wants to visit this restaurant to either make a reservation or come very early and dont bring bags.

Atmosphere was great, beautiful setting. It was a little chilly out so didn’t get to enjoy it as much as i wanted to . The coconut shrimp and buffalo wings on the appetizer menu are the best. My mojito was a little strong but that’s a good thing lol. My entree was good, just wish it had a little more seasoning . It was bland in flavor (Some sort of penne pasta dish, I like a lot of seasoning so for others they may feel differently.) Nothing that won’t keep me from coming back though. Definitely plan on visiting again when i’m back in AC.

Over rated and over priced for a boardwalk spot. Stopped in for an early morning breakfast and were offered couch seating and we ended up at a table. The couches were dirty and no support, you sank down in them. Breakfast for my husband and I was $51! We got a typical breakfast, nothing special or fancy,, the staff was nice but we will not be going back there.

Very cool laid back beach vibe. Almost a touch of Miami in AC. Elena was our waitstaff and took excellent care of my friend and me. We each had a different omelet and they were both delicious. Be prepared to see the tip included on the bill as a Service Fee and they charge a little extra for credit card payments.

Great vibe. WAAAAY too expensive! Two of us 307.00 and NOT in VIP section ( which starts at $600.00). We had 3 beers, 3 shots of Patron, 2 Ritas, two palomas, no food. Part of the bill was a $49 Service Charge. I asked if that was a tip and our (wonderful waitress!) hemmed and hawed. We added $10, but as fun as it was, we will only go for a coming off the beach drink.

Friendly staff and nice location. But extremely over priced. I expect to pay 10 or 12 for a drink but a beer and a cocktail were $32. No prices were posted and we were completely shocked. Wasnt worth it to stay when theres other bars. This is also a VIP type bar so you are only allowed to be in one section and cuts off the who bar. Just kills the atmosphere for sure.

Ok place for a one time thing but beware for potential menu revisions. For example a 3 course chicken parm special was reduced to one chicken breast. Smaller portion but salad and desert comes with. The set up on the boardwalk is great. So you kind of overpay for the nice scenery. Great for a once per summer thing.

Its a beautiful setting on the boardwalk, Ill give them that but overpriced isnt the word! My goodness, a few drinks and 1 meal came to $120! Wont be making that mistake again. Like I said, it was nice and beautifully shaded for a sunny afternoon but for that price- not me, not again.

Major rip off.A 20% tip is already included in the price, so even if the service is bad, like somebody spitting in your omelette, you still have to pay a 20% tip.Insane.Also a 4% charge if you pay with a credit card, this place looks like a money laundering operation.

I took the train down to Atlantic City for the day and was looking for a spot for an outdoor lunch when I came across Bungalow. The patio looked clean, friendly, and inviting, so I got a table. Their lunch menu had some great fare and I ended up trying the coconut shrimp with orange-chili sauce and the pork and broccoli rabe panini, and both were excellent. The server was friendly and attentive, and the umbrellas kept the hot sun off my head. This was a great lunch spot that Id go back to any time.

Over priced and not worth it. Never again.

BE AWARE : I had to put 1 star so I could open this page but it should be a zero star. First and foremost we were charged as a couple a $40 cover to sit in an enclosed fenced in chicken coop. We were uncomfortable so I asked for anything available in the pool VIP area where the manager said $1,000 for entry and seating. Since we were already there and committed to the cover charge we ordered a round of drinks to an inflated bill of $65. I am totally dissatisfied as I have been here prior Covid and paid for a day bed in the VIP area. The bungalow restaurant on the boardwalk is terrific so stick to lunch or dinner & avoid the beach bar at all costs!!!

The flatbread was very good I recommend. The drinks were bad mainly ice don’t recommend. The service was very good and the food came out quick. The salmon was very good and everything was worth the price. The hookah was very good as well!

Way over priced for what you’re getting. Normal drinks are legit 28 dollars. If you want to sit in the “VIP” section you need to purchase a bottle for 400. Which is a bottle of Tito’s. I genuinely don’t know how they get away with this. It’s not that great at all for those prices.

I couldn’t have asked for better service and food was amazing at Bungalow!! Atmosphere was excellent.. chef Lisa is outstanding at formulating the best dishes. Chicken milanese was not greasy and light.. chicken parm was cooked to perfection. Food allergies are taken seriously here as my husband has a shellfish allergy and we were told what specific meals he should not order. Thank you Bungalow you will see us again soon!!

I love the hookah but it’s not for two I mean it could be but it’s huge! The hookahs are so big def for like a party of 4. If you want to be at the beach bar they have a $100 minimum just to order hookah FYI. The food is waaayyyy better than ever before! I totally recommend this place. I would recommend looking nice this isn’t a T-shirt and sweat pants type of place.

The place was nice, bartenders and other staff nice as well. However one of the security guard/bouncers was very rude and unprofessional. I had an issue with a guy at the bar and I asked him to leave me alone, the bar was closing and it was actually time for me to leaveI attempted to let this guy who was pestering me leave out the bar first then I would go the opposite way to get away from himThe bouncer assuming that we are together , literally tries to usher me out with him and grabs my arm to attempt to get me to leave. I then proceed to tell him not to touch me, and that I did not wish to leave with him. He assumes that I’m drunk and does not listen to me and continues to usher me out and says that I am causing a scene and threatened to call the police. It wasn’t until a bartender approached him and told him everything that transpired did he take me serious!!! He then offered to buy me a drink to apologize -_-The way he behaved and handled that potentially dangerous situation was very unprofessional and it needs to be addressed by management…hopefully it doesn’t happen to anyone else!

The best spot in Atlantic City hands down! The food, service, and atmosphere are fantastic. It is located on the boardwalk, with the bar/pool/nightclub across the boardwalk on the beach. Its the perfect place to get dinner then go to the bar for a drink and music. The manager, Dipesh attends to every detail. We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and he, the servers, and the chef made a point to wish us a happy anniversary! We highly recommend the halibut and the scallops. They were delish! Check out Bungalow, you wont be disappointed!

Monday, 7/26/21 around 5-7PM.Well this was a strange experience. Allow me to share it with you.The Arrival:As my wife and I approached the entrance a staff member hustled our direction. About 50 feet away he stopped and put his hand in the air ✋ indicating we needed to 🛑. Kind of like a, HALT, who goes there?, type of deal. As we stopped, the staff member hustled over to us and asked us what we needed. To which I replied, We wanted to have a🍹 by the ⛱. As if I really needed to explain why we just stopped at a beach front bar.The Entrance:So this guy puts his arm around me like we are pals and walks me through the entrance over to the bar. Thats about as weird as it gets right there... He walked me over and asked the batrender if they could serve us... again, very strange since the place was clearly open for business and had plenty of patrons there. My wife and I are in our mid-to-late 30s, so its not like that was in question. Is this place members only or something?The staff member who greeted us and hand-delivered me (literally) to the bar then proceeded to have a very strange and awkward conversation with the bartender about who should he pay which again, is pretty strange. He asked us to first order at the bar and then make sure to order through him afterwards. My guess (especially after I learned the prices) is that the staff members get a cut of the customers bill, almost like a commission, and the guy who walked us in was trying to make sure he was going to make some $ on us. Either that or these guys have some sort of racket going. I absolutely do not believe this was the case, but you have to consider the possibility after the strange meet and greet which just occurred.The Order:I ordered my wife an 🍊 Crush and I had a Cucumber Breeze - some sort of Vodka 🍹 with a hint of 🥒. It sounded refreshing at the time so I went with it. Both 🥃s were ordered directly off of their drink menu, nothing uncommon or custom.The Drinks:So, $43.92 💰 later (Including a $7.00 service fee) we had our 🍹s... not 5 or 6 or them... two of them... a cool $21.71 per drink. My wifes 🍹 was decent, so I have to give credit there, but my $22 dollar 🍹 was terrible. It tasted like 💧 with a hint of 🥒. There was barely even any vodka in it. Not enough to even taste the alcohol. It honestly tasted like a dirty cucumber water.The Experience:Our plan was to grab a couple beach 💺s near the corner where it was quieter, but the 💺s were pretty dirty. I understand there is going to be sand on them, but these were actually quite stained and dirty. We reluctantly sat and I immediately found myself replaying the very strange experience I just had. The weird entrance, being stopped, the arm around me, the strange questions to the bartender, the terrible drink and then of course the fact that the two drinks cost me over 40 bucks... Cmon man... this isnt an upscale Manhattan lounge its a mediocre ⛱ front bar on the AC boardwalk.The Exit:We decided to get outta there... my 🍹went in a 🗑 on the way out. What a disappointment this place was.The Sentiment:Unless youre specifically looking for overpriced, watered down drinks and a mediocre-at-best (but very strange) 🍻+⛱ experience I would suggest you avoid this establishment.

The food was pretty good. Ordered the Grilled chicken panini with fries and I wasn’t disappointed.And even though their breakfast menu isn’t much you can never go wrong with the french toast. Looking for good food, this is your plug.

Hubby & I loved it here!! One night we went to the restaurant which had great food, drinks & hookah. We then went to the beach bar at night on a saturday & had some fries & hookah and oh boy - the DJ was AMAZING. Awesome mix of songs & transitions & sick house remixes. I believe it was DJ Funky. Please give him the recognition he deserves because the music was bangin to say the least!!!!!!! Also to the people who said its expensive - literally every restaurant/bar has an online menu so dont bash a place based off of your poor planning. Also the service was great. All the staff that we met were so helpful, from the bouncer to our server. We will be back next time!

We were very surprised to get a bill for $95.00 for 4 people for breakfast food. We ordered basic items. French toast with straw and blueberries, plan French toast, a single egg, bacon egg and cheese sandwich, and bacon egg hash browns. Two coffee and 1 unsweetened tea...wow this was a shocker. You can forget about us going here ever again.

I gave two stars because of their fries and the location. However, customer service is terrible . We complained about our sodas tasting like water ($3.5 each, no refill) two waiters were attending our table and none of them did anything about it. Later on I realized the 20% service is already included, hence the lack of customer service. No coming back again. (Bungalow by the boardwalk)

It would be nice to cooperate with Google about your operating hours, because I do find it very unfair for six of us to walk in the rain on the boardwalk to come visit your place while it shows its open but it wasnt.

Sooooooooooo One star feels like a compliment based on my experience. The food was absolutely hideous. My cocktail sauce tasted like tomato paste out the can. The chicken tasted like Tysons microwave Hallah meat. My blue cheese tasted like watered down ranch dressing. The French fries tasted like i was swallowing empty shell casings. The highlight of my visit was the water which was absolutely delicious the best thing there. I would recommend walking right past it !!!

The place is amazing, but if you want to go to the VIP area manager ( Freddy) he will pick and choose the people to enter the vip section, some people did not order bottle service, however, we were told it needed to be a package with bottle service no less than $500 for a party of 3 which included food, hookah, drinks. There were people in that area ordering individual drinks and hookah but no bottles or food service.

Place is almost empty. Bad music. Bouncer at the door is charging $50 to get in. Even the top LA, Chicago and Miami don’t charge that much. Insane for an empty lame place. No DJ, corny generic music, completely empty. Don’t recommend at all. AVOID.

We paid 60 for hummus and 2 drinks. I even said to the bar tender “are you sure you added Tito’s?” He said yes it’s a standard serving. I think $16 for a cranberry juice is a little over priced. We always would go there but will not go there again.

The one star is for the host at the entrance, very nice guy. Overpriced as hell. Hookah is $45 which I think is ok. We were a group of 5. They bring only 3 disposable hose, man, we are 5 people bring 5 hose, we are in covid, are you expecting us to use the same hose? You paid 1 dollar for 100 units. Come on. Drinks!!!!.. go away...13 dollars a beer, 16 dollars a sangria, 16 a Pina colada, if you need charcoal for the hookah you must pay the $45 for the whole refill even if tobacco still good. The menu doesnt show price.... people.... no price on menu, no price online, no price nowhere. Dont be surprise with your check if you dont ask for prices first. 20% gratuity is mandatory, also if paying with card, extra fees. I can say that for 1 hookah and 5 drinks, we paid $166. Find another place.

Place is great to parry. But if you ever get a hooka, be careful they dont give you another charcoal. They will charge you $35 for a new head refill, when you already paid $45 for the hooka. A head can take a least 2 rounds of charcoal. This is more rip off then making legit money. If you dont smoke, this is the best place to party on the beach.

Wonderful 3 course dinner for 24.99 Huge shrimp. Great service. Loved sitting on the boardwalk and watching the world go by.

I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t go lower. The wait was long. The food taste as if it was popped in the microwave. Not worth the time or money. The host was rude. Very disappointed don’t go there. And the palm trees was fake. The water was the best thing. I felt robbed.

I ordered the chicken parmesan and my wife shrimp pasta hers was to spicy mine was fine but the seagulls flying right to ur table was a disaster they need to invest in some bird wire to keep them out and also a 20% charge 80$ had better was hungry

We reached this place at 1:24 am and told the doorman/bouncer if we could get a table but he said no. His answer was no to everything. Which was fine until we requested him again and explained our situation of having a bad night. The guy instead of helping us out laughed at us. The place is average we just went there because it showed it was open till 2 am.

The service was good. Had a fun flavored hookah and lunch. The prices were very high, for just okay food.

If you go here be prepared to spend a LOT for very mediocre food. Not sure what else to say other than if you can avoid this place, do yourself the favor. Theres a place next to it that looks much better and Im sure doesnt cost anywhere near the price this place does. I read reviews saying exactly what I am and figured those people were just being cheap tourists, so I went anyway. That was a mistake.

I hate to do this but...only giving a star because of the nice view. Restaurant wasnt busy but the service was terrible. We waited 20 minutes to even get some water. Food was overpriced, nothing special. Left and stopped for Wawa on the way back home. I wouldnt waste your time with this place unless you have all day to waste

This was our first stop when we hit AC. The drinks we good, the food was good, the music and pool all perfect scores, you gotta check it out.

Real palm Trees get installed/planted every season before summer. Has that Miami feel day and night. Im a fan of tropical beaches...not jersey beaches. This is close enough for the breeze, view, drink and food service. They have couches, hammock, hookah, umbrellas, music all day. Just RIDESHARE to this location and ejoy your day.

Best restaurant in Atlantic City food-drinks are on point and fresh. Good service but prices are high too extend, which is understandable because of this economical crisis.{2020-2022}

The service and food was great! The drinks were also good while looking at everyone walking on the boardwalk and the smell of the ocean just makes you in a good mood😊

OHHHHH ! This is the spot right here.. Great drinks great music great staff... ( Bartenders 😍 ) by the water i dont think there is a cover.. Im comin back !! I hope this review helps all who see it.. Ill definately be back before the summer is out !!

Horrible experience never again got the chicken Parm excessive amount of sauce got the stuffed pork chop no flavor dry also the mashed cauliflower didn’t taste like anything I also ordered a strawberry daiquiri frozen it was warm tasted like syrup and then had the audacity to charge me $178 never again

Great location right on the boardwalk. food was typical breakfast eggs and home friesthen I get the bill and there is a 22 percent tip built in.. bad business..

Only eat here if you want to be starving when you leave. Extremely small portions, and I say this as someone who does not eat a lot.

The bungalow restaurant is very fun laid back restaurant that you could go to either what your family children including or your friends to go out to hang out have drinks and get some food and all summer long they have DJ Friday Saturday nights and also Saturday afternoon and even when the DJ is there it is still a relaxed atmosphere to where you could bring your children but also 21 year olds can go there and have a great time I highly recommend it for anybody and everybody the staff that works there is great various respectful food is excellent if youre into hookah and more the best ones around plus the only ones around lol

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I came on a Monday night after dinner for a drink near the beach. I purchased 2 drinks in a 8 Oz cup which cost $45. In this market that is way over priced the service was terrible. I suggest you try a different beach bar.

Breakfast for my wife and I was very good, but It cost me $85. We won’t be back! Not for $85 egg sandwiches 🥪 🤣🤣🤣

Nice, relaxing shaded patio across the boardwalk from the beach. Good food. The service was a bit lacking, maybe because they automatically add a 20% tip.

Great lunch spot!...Food is good with healthy options as well...Out door seating is casual and relaxing...ps..yes they have hookah available as well...

Overpriced, they dont put price on the drink menu, food is very average for what you pay.

Terrible staff, overpriced everything (pricier than NYC… in Atlantic City lol), go anywhere else you will have a better time, the non bungalow beach bars have much better priced drinks, cheaper hookah, and much better food

Very terrible experience...me and my wife were spending a couple nights at Ceasars....the morning after we got there we woke and were hungry .so I said were going to my parents at sea shore club...down by where Hilton used to be we can grab a bite on the boarwalk.....so we started walking and ran into this place looked nice eat outside in the morning brisk air......it was great.....I ordered triple stack of pancakes and a side of cornedbeef hash and a orange juice.....my wife ordered a triple stack and a Pepsi and a coffee when she was finished.......I said Bill please......78.68 my eyeballs almost popped out of my head....my wife said said whats wrong ....I said the bill....its outrageous......me n her play around alot ......she said how much was it I said 78.68....she said stop lying......I said Im not .....she grabbed the receipt...and saw for herself.....I do NOT recommend this place to anybody......there was plenty of places to go...and we picked the most expensive one in Atlantic city....btw.....a side of cornedbeefhash.....10.00......a glass of o.j 9.00........please do yourself a favor and pass this spot .....you will be glad you did........

Horrible service!!! They charge a 20% tip to every bill so I guess they feel like they can be rude, ignore you, not get your order right because they add that tip to everyone’s bill.

This place is so good that I legitimately ate here with my family last night and as I post this Im currently sitting here with my family great prices great atmosphere amazing food amazing service anybody and everybody has to come here you will never have a bad experience

We went there for drinks. Took over 30 minutes before the waitress took our order. There was only 6 people in the whole house.
