Fun bar with strong drinks went here with my mother to celebrate her birthday. Only downside was the bartender at the top bar refused to show me my itemized receipt with added gratuity until after I paid and added a tip. When I requested to see the itemized she hesitantly located it and did not allow me to remove the additional tip as it was “too late” even though I just signed. Really enjoyed my time there but might not return because of this experience with the bartender.

Latinas Bowl 2017.My first event of the new year. Fairly medium sized venue. Bad tenders were nice for the most part. Music was great!

Only thing I didnt like was the floor being super sticky. Music was good, workers were super nice and friendly. Good place for Hispanic/Latin music.

No respect for womens rights. I was denied entry because I was in shorts even though I identified as a woman that night. Other women in shorts and extremely revealing skirts allowed in.

Lots of creeps at this bar. I genuinely did not feel safe here and will not be coming back. I don’t recommend this place for young women.

Worst club I been to in a while, low energy, dj has no sense of getting any energy into the club with the music, not worth the time wasted

The bartenders are fast, the drinks are strong, the music is great, the dance floor is packed and the crowd is beautiful. The music is mostly Spanish language pop and reggeaton but with some Nortendo mixed in. This is a straight bar but there were a few same sex couples that all seemed to be having a great time.

Absolutely loved the vibe here. Its a must when you are downtown Austin.

This is the worst club Ive ever been to, at the entrance the carpet was sticky and I dont even want to imagine why, I asked the barman for a margarita, mojito, and Red Bull and this girl was so rude saying she didnt have anything but that, they dont have a dress code which allows whatever people to get in and the bar was EXTREMELY dirty.The only good thing was the DJ.

Best Latin party in ATX. This is my go to place. If you like to dance and enjoy Latin music, this is the place! They also play other music genres and have one of the best DJs in town.

I came here two years ago and will try this place one more time to see if it has improved after COVID restrictions in May. The last time I came here the music was a very good mixture of Latin hip hop to salsa, to bachata and other Latin favorites to dance to. Once in awhile American dance music would be played too. So it could have been fun. But the bartenders were playing favorites with their friends. That was a problem when you had to stand in line forever for one drink. Security does a good job without making you feel unwelcome. But there are lots of young male singles here so if you are on a date with a female stay alert. Also it gets very crowded so its very hard to actually dance without bumping into someone.

If I could leave 0 I would. Worst place I’ve ever been to. This one bartender was so damn rude. She gave serious attitude and used vulgar language. Literally walked out and would never go back. The whole group I was with hated it. It was my first time there and definitely my last.

Arrived at this club at 11:00 pm and the place was empty (see photo). The cover charge for men was $10 and women were free. Drinks were average but served in cheap plastic cups. Once midnight struck, it was so packed I couldn’t even GET to the dance floor! Great music, but you’re either alone in the club or sardined; there clearly was no in between.

Good choice of music. Mostly reggaeton. Lot of creeps here though. My friend and I went twice and it was a night and day experience. Friday was better than Saturday night. Not sure if thats a regular thing. On the Saturday night there was a $10 cover charge, but it might be because we came in later. The place was VERY hot though. They need to get some better airflow in there because of how packed it gets. My friend and I wanted to leave just from how sweaty we were getting.

Place was decent, music choice was good but the DJ talks WAY TOO MUCH AND GETS ANNOYING! There is a cover charge of 10 dollars for everyone on Saturday. Place was super packed around 12am and yet there was a big line to get in. I believe they are one of the few clubs if not the only one that allow 18+ in 6th street but if your 21+ go somewhere else believe me. But if you dont mind dancing in a HOT and SWEATY environment, inches from other people and their sweat, and bumping constantly each other then go right ahead.

I didnt like this place. First of all, its in an area surrounded by FREE bars on dirty sixth so the $10 cover charge is stupid. I dont mind paying if the place is good but this place isnt cover charge worthy.Its not very latin. Theres mainly Mexican music and people (I know I know, its Texas). I felt like I was at a party in a third world country. Dont get all whiny and assume Im racist if youre reading this. Im Hispanic too and I have been to parties in a third world country. It had that vibe to it. And the last thing that annoyed me was the $10 minimum on credit cards. Whats the purpose? I like to order my beer and close the tab out in case I wanna leave after my beer. Every other bar Ive been to in Austin lets me pay for just one beer with my card. If my review sounds like a good time to you, you might love this place. Its not for everyone and its definitely not for me. If you dont speak English, this is the place for you.

I totally had a blast here.I was kind of nervous at first about coming here, dont know why I honestly was. However security was super friendly. They opened doors for me even grabbed my hand while walking downstairs in my heels good drinks. It was a cute time

Last night me and my husband were at the club, and someone tried to hit my husband from behind just to realize they stole my belongings. My cell - ID - and debit card out of his pocket. The security came around and they didnt even let us explain what was happening before kicking us out because he thought we were going to fight When I informed him, he didnt even seem to care of what was happening. I am never returning here. If this is the type of people you have working for you its a disappointment. I wouldve been able to get to the person who stole my personal belongings if the security person wouldve simply let us explain first and go after him.

Ive been to Cielo before the pandemic and recently went. Its the same Cielo as far as the crowd, really good! And It gets packed. I wouldve loved more variety in terms of music like more merengue, salsa, bachata but as packed as it gets its hard to dance anything else than perreo reggaeton 💪🏼. Now... The mixed drinks 🤦‍♂️ HORRIBLE CIELO YOUR BARTENDERS NEED MORE TRAINING!!! The drinks were not correctly made. They didnt know the ingredients for certain drinks yet they made them anyway. The drinks had double the alcohol it should have. If John from Bar Rescue were here he would tear yall up!

Gave it a 2 because at least they played music I like to dance to, but this club is a disgrace to other salsa style clubs due to the fact that people like fighting here and very little is done to rectify it other than eventually ejecting them. The set up is too small they couldve done better w the area. Been everywhere, but not worth the time or cover charge.

This is the worst Latin Club I have ever been too.- LOTS OF GUYS hanging around that are wound up and are easily irritated. (Teenagers apparently)- NOT a dance club. This is more of a Latin grind club (way too many people for any actual dancing)- You will be charged additional TIPs without your authorization.- If youre a man, you will be skipped when ordering drinksPlease check your statements after going here. I was charged tips despite not approving any tips. If youre a guy looking to get a drink, prepare to wait and be skipped several times. A few of my friends and I came to this place and had the same experience at the different bars inside. After finally making it up to the front, the bartenders will look at the people DIRECTLY BEHIND YOU and serve 3-5 others before taking your order. Once they do take your order, they will then grab several other drinks before getting yours. I have been to a few bars in my life, and I understand when someone is busy and when someone is acting intentionally. Then they have the audacity to charge unauthorized TIPS to your account without approval. I understand why a lot of the guys in this place are easily irritated.There are better places in town, do yourself a favor and take your friends elsewhere and actually have FUN.*Please note: My group and I are in our late 20s. We all, unfortunately, had the same experience.Response to owner: You do not know what is going on in your club. Check out other review sites and you will see that these unauthorized charges are common place.

Literally wait 14 minutes for the bar tender at the front of the line, she attended a guy who snuck to the front of the line, I wave at her to get her attention, and I get kicked out. A girl next to me literally left bc she was waiting there for a long time. These idiots have never felt so much power go to their heads before. 2nd floor bar, left side girl. Yall get your priorities straight.

Really fun place! $3 margaritas and Ladys night on Fridays. If youre a guy, make sure you wear pants. Dress code is enforced. Theres also a cover charge.

If youre planning on going out tonight, you might want to put this place as your Z plan, or just not go out. The place its quite small, dirty and with terrible service. I paid $15 for the cover, and once inside I realized service was poor and so was the maintenance of the place, and last but definitely not least, the whole environment was really mean. I will not go there again and any other place in 6th Street its way better.

The cover charge is $10 when all the other bars around are FREE! Next, $10 minimum on credit cards what a joke. Speaking for the ladies restroom it was flooded. Disgusting much? Lastly, the cheap plastic cups they give you when you order a drink really? A complete mess of a “club”

Worst experience. Freaking DJ from a “radio station” just keeps talking and talking, interrupts all songs with the same dumb phrases. He also doesn’t even mix, He just leaves all songs play all the way. That’s Not a real DJ. Make sure you like to hear that before getting inside so you won’t be upset losing 10 dls they charge for cover.

Was good! Good drinks, good mood inside. The only thing is the bad changes between the songs, but is Dj’s fault.

From an East Coaster visiting Austin and wanting to hit up the Latin scene, this is the spot. Would definitely recommend as the multiple times Ive come to Austin, this was my go-to place. This was the closest awesome vibe I could find to the Latin nightclubs in NYC, and I for sure will come back when I hit up Austin after covid times!

$10 cover is a bit much. Then they have a $10 drink minimum which is ridiculous. Female bar tender told me the price of drinks then changed the price when I gave her my American Express. I questioned her and she got rude. Wont be back.

My favorite bar/club to go!The audience is really mixed but mostly 20-30s. Prices are not crazy high and its always fun to go there. And also its in TX!!! Love

During vacations, got recommended this place, over my weekend in TX, went to the club where I didn’t go in because my “outfit”, where other girls where using similar outfit were allowed in. I found this very disrespectful. Out of the list and not again

The manager didn’t let us in because my boyfriend was wearing warmups. We understood, it is what it is but then he proceeded to belittle us about the warmups. Completely disrespected us. Never coming here again

Pricey drinks, good vibes, but they really should let you know about coat check and have small tables down stairs to sit at..lol. I seen people with buckets of beer all over the floor, kinda sad. I may go back again, when I need to get out again.

We came out of town from NC, the bouncer was letting guys with sneakers but with let not let my friend with who was dressed nice with shorts, ourmoney was rejected. I do not recommend this place if you are coming out of town.

It’s a fun place to go if you’re young and wanna party, it does get hot AF though. They play good music. Bartenders are pretty quick.

Security guard said I wasn’t allowed in because of my attire... I was wearing jeans, dress shoes & black tee.... he was wearing sneakers and all athletic wear... he is representing the club but not in dress code himself haha pathetic, if you’re going to be strict with outfits, make sure the people representing you are up to par

Security guard at the door was rude . Ever though they say they open at 9. They don’t sell alcohol till 10 and the Dj doesn’t show up till 10 . So there’s no Hispanic music till after 10 .

I like this place, the dj plays latin music and it gets pretty lit the only thing is that there’s a cover charge and it get ridiculously packed. And has this cute photo op for us ladies

Saturday night after 1 don’t go if what you’re looking for is dancing some bachata they won’t play it club too packed. The club itself is decent if you’re into crowded stuff.

Alot of minors there. Anybody can get in no dress code necessary at all. Dont go with your wife or girlfriend guys will grab her ass or grope her.

The worst place....

The worst thing is that they take one of the tables out to give them to those who pay for a bottle worth $200.00, which doesnt seem fair to me because just like them we are probably consuming more than those who buy the beggarly bottle, the manager is very pathetic and arrogant, the DJ was good, he shared with the public but the variety of music was not the best, too much reggaeton. And there is no capacity control of people so the place is too full haaaa!! And the carpet is like sticky gum, how horrible!!

The club gets so crowded on Fridays that it is almost impossible to dance. 70% of the music is reggaeton, the other 30% is a combination of cumbia, bachata, merengue and salsa. The d.j. They make a good mix of old Salsa and Bachata songs but the bad thing is that they play very little of that music. The majority of people who attend are between 18 and 25 years old. If you like to dance salsa and bachata on a dance floor with a little space, this may not be your best choice.

The atmosphere is cool but the music only plays Tik Tok songs, please be serious, play real music, there is so much good Reggaeton that is perriable, sandy and delicious to dance to and you have to choose the worst to play.

Ladies have to pay high cover. High drink prices. A large amount of men here only because of high coverage and they want better tips. Never letting any of my girlfriends come here.Oh, pure men, there are almost no women here. They run at women. Beer and entrance prices Its a lot for what it is. Im never going to take my friends here.

The music is good, mostly reggaeton. The atmosphere is cool, its just that the space is small and then you cant dance well.
