I was here for a friends wedding rehearsal dinner. The bartenders, food, atmosphere, etc were all pleasant, but my issue is with the front door security/staff. I noticed some friends leaving, so I caught up with them in the front doorway to say goodbye. When I tried going back in, the doorman stopped me and said to get to the back of the line and pay cover. At that point in the night, they started charging cover and giving out wristbands at the door, which didnt exist for the rehearsal dinner. However, I had already been there for probably 2 hours at the private wedding party. The door man said listen little man, I am telling you to either get in the back of the line, or leave. I asked to speak with the manager, who would presumably know more about the wedding party. She came and said she would go check the tapes to confirm that I had been there since 6pm. The doormen rudely demanded that my girlfriend and I wait outdoors, and refused to speak with us any further. 20 minutes went by, the manager never came back, and after seeing I wasnt being allowed back in, the rest of the wedding party and I all left. They ruined what was supposed to be a very happy night.
Located inside The B.O.B., this venue is a great place to see local acts perform in an intimate setting. The sound is wonderful, and I say that having been on both the stage performing and as an audience member. Plus, they have a dozen beers on tap from BOBs Brewery, and Ive always found their beers impressive. The best time to go is Thursdays at noon to catch the on air performance broadcast live on WYCE. Part interview and part performance, its a great place to grab an afternoon beer.
Lets be real: its the BOB. So the party life is loud and booming. But also I was tipsy upon arrival, so 💁. It was fun and popping either way. Drinks were actually not priced outrageously and the music wasnt horrible. I would come again I suppose.
Great time at a great place!
Oh my what a great house made stout. Good band and love the pre concert atmosphere. The bartender was super!!!
The live music and dancing area was great. Also enjoyed the casual vibe here as it was nice to hear live music with great beverage service.
The B.O.B. is an incredible part of downtown Grand Rapids. H.O.M.E. is a great venue. Lots of great restaurants in The B.O.B.Highly recommended stop if you are in Grand Rapids MI.
Loved this part the most. Had a live band playing great music and a really really good vibe. Would go back and spend longer there
Really nice atmosphere. Little too expensive for drinks. Would rather drink at a smaller bar/club. Really good entertainment though.
Great spot to have a company holiday party. Plenty of space, food was good, bartender and bar were well stocked and service was good.
Front bartender (guy) needs diversity training as well as security staff, great band performing that night, venue design & seating set up is straight trash
Fun atmosphere, good food. We had so much fun for my husbands work Christmas party!
The bartender was excellent! I think I have seen him at the Bay Point Resort on Gun Lake also.

Very nice place. Great live entertainment. Nice views. Good drinks.
Good live band, a lot of seating, decent prices on drinks, very clean bathrooms
Fun bands on the weekends. Attentive bartenders. Good dancing.
