Hello Austin, 🙋🏽‍♂️🇺🇸 I apologize for being MIA.I continue living with PTSD, insomnia, & yes.. Bi-Polar Depression. So please forgive me for the missed reviews or questions about a place Ive been or walked past. I appreciate everyone who understands. 🙏🏽So....this is a record store I stumbled across walking. I never walk the same path & will randomly take a turn, or go straight, etc. I was going past Big Henrys & the music was not only older... the young lady playing the music...was super young. I turned my music off & it was the most powerful, uplifting 1/2 hr Ive experienced in a music store. Though I take responsibility for how (I Feel), it was the continued trauma I suffered from the ugly, aggressive behavior of the building manager... where I live that had me down for 2 weeks. Again!Which is why I cant remember the name of this Super Star of A Worker... that brought me into this jewl of a find. Tomorrow, she should be working, & Ill update with her name. Its beautiful & unique & starts with an S. Lol...😳😳🫣🫣🫠🫠I am better & walking again. Thanks, Big Henrys Vinyl & GiftsGood & Love To The People Of Austin TX!🫂❤️PS: a few pictures from my walks

Wow this is a really hip place. I could spend hours in here. Looking at who played on all these albums. The Greats. Real vinyl. If you ever come to town, please hang out in here for a half an hour do some listening look at back of the albums that list who played with who.

I saw a show at Antones about a month ago for a George Porter Jr. show and bought a poster. When I got home my dog thought it would be a good idea to eat that poster. I went out on a limb and messaged Big Henry’s about the incident, and they sent me the same poster free of charge (shipped it out of state too)! Great venue, great service, Great people! Will definitely go back when I’m in Austin again!

Big Henry’s is an oasis in downtown stocked with the best blues and soul records! The staff are always incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. If you’re a veteran of Antone’s or blues music, you’re more than likely to find exactly what you’re looking for and something new. If you’re just getting into the wonderful world of blues and soul, look no further- anyone in the shop will share a record that’s soon to become your favorite.

Tourist trape. Its a small and I mean small alcove next to Antones. Very expensive prints of blues artists with no authenticity I could recognize. SRV print for $750.00 thats all over the Internet that you can print for free.If youre looking for a certain blues music album this might be a good place to look.

Good selection for the size of the place. The dude at the counter is always cool. The prices are a little high, but thats because they carry some rarities.

One of a kind shop for records and Antones merchandise! Shop manager Grace and her staff are awesome. You can even get a cold drink and a poboy before Antones opens starting at noon everyday.
