Smoking Depot

Had a glass accident on 4/20 and went looking for a replacement the next day. After going to no less than 6 other shops in the south area, we walked into Smoke Depot. I was relieved to finally see some selection in the water pipe department. The employees were immediately attentive and friendly. One of them informed us they were still running their 4/20 sale. We started eyeballing a bigger piece and he instantly whipped out his phone and contacted the owner for the best deal possible. Shoutout to the owner for being so responsive while on vacation. We ended up leaving with a beautiful set at an awesome price with the help of the guy. He really knew the inventory and talked to us for awhile about everything. And at the end both of the employees bubble wrapped every single thing so safely! We got a great deal and loveeee our new pieces. Pics don’t do them justice. ❤️‍🔥 thanks yall!

Little to no inventory, did get directions from the owner, so that was nice.

The owner (Shooter) has amazing customer service skills. He greets everyone when they come in and gives honest advice about what they are looking to purchase. The first time I went, I purchased a dugout, and he threw in a free ceramic pinch hit on top of the one it came with (yall know they always get lost). Today when I went, I was looking for another Ryot brand dugout... he was all out but let me know where it may be available. I wanted to purchase the poker thing it came with but he let me go with it, free of charge. Nothing but good vibes in this shop... and a lot of cool smoking stuff. Its also cool that the workers dont get all crazy if you say anything other than tobacco... because Im not fond of talking in code.

Dont let the pictures on here Deceive you theres nothing in the store whatsoever and thats because theyre keeping up with the trends. They dont cary much of anything store looks barror and the employee i met seemed to not care about helping me at all. Was more interested with whatever is going on in that back room.Like I said dont let the pictures of the good ol days for this place trick you into walking in cause its NOT worth it

Over the past 30 years I have worked in the glass blowing industry from managing studios to traveling all over the country selling glass. In 2014 my business partner and I were on the road selling for a glass cooperative out of Asheville NC, and made our way as far south as San Antonio. On our way back north we decided to see if this shop was open since it was not when we came through heading south. As luck would have it they were open, but we really did not like dealing with the spoiled brat that claimed he was the owner. It seemed as if we were an inconvenience to his life, and thought we were amateurs for not having enough glass for his liking [NOTE: We made $122,000 on that trip, and sold out of everything. This shop was the last shop on our run]. He bought $250 worth of small stuff as if he was doing us a favor.Fast forward to today. Im in Austin for the holiday week and I pass by when they are supposed to be open, and they are not. The sign is no longer on the building, and it looks abandoned again.

This friendly, helpful crew went above and beyond average customer service by getting me a product that they dont even carry in their shop (and for a really good price as well)! This is the first review Ive ever posted. Thats how impressed I am!

This is my favorite smoke shop in Austin! Chris aka CDot has been an amazing help! Great customer service! Chris found me the bong I had always wanted, but I couldn’t find anywhere for a year, & he found it for me!!!! He’s so great! I won’t shop anywhere else. :)Make this your go to smoke shop and you will thank yourself!

Super good people. Made friends with them in shop Thursday before acl, and they kept recognizing me every time I walked by. Dude gave me a free coke zero when I needed it mostThese are honest people and you should be happy to spend your money with them.

This is hands down my go-to smoke shop! the guys are always super friendly and patient, like if i wanna take 5 hours to ask about the price of all the glass and try on different bowls and downstems they will not bat an eye. i moved recently, so now im 30 minutes away, but i still go to this specific one because sometimes smoke n chill has strange vibes and planet k can be rude. the service here is just consistently amazing and they have such a huge variety in prices in pieces and vapes and anything else you could need! thanks guys :)

I just got a vape and juice without nicotine yesterday and they were very helpful when I asked a million questions about it. Was recommended by a friend who had a good experience and had a good one myself as well.

I stopped by here for the first time yesterday and the service was amazing! I didn’t catch the guy’s name who was working yesterday but he had long hair. He was so nice and friendly! I also found the most beautiful rainbow pipe here!

A good place to find some nice glassware

They were super cool with me. I left the building b4 trying my vape I just bought. Found out in the car it didnt work, they didnt give me any problems like other places.

There are the better smelling candles at this location. Ooh, la, la! Except I went for Juicy wraps😜get your own. This store is clean, like the guys who work there☺️keep it up yall. It is located where you could almost miss it if you really looking for it. Hours & location are reasonable, unlike pricing thats so-so

Glass work here is amazing. If you are looking for quality one of a kind peices def go here. Good selection on typical head shop stuff. I drive from cedar park past multiple others shops because the prices on some items are the best in town. The staff is laid back, and the dogs are sweethearts. If you havent been before try it out. I bet you will go back.

Great selection! Fantastic Variety of flavors, papers, practically everything one needs to produce smoke in prodigious quantities! AND many bongs, or water pipes, as it is PC to say.The owner and manager are very knowledgeable of the products, especially Joe, long may he wave!

Visiting Austin and heard this was a good shop. I highly recommend stopping in, Eric and his cute staff are very knowledgeable and most helpful with making a selection and answering my 20 questions. Most of the pieces he said were local Austin artists. Got a new piece and organic papers Im in love with.

One of the coolest smoke shops Ive been in yet. Theyre very friendly and make sure you get what you need. They have a pretty large selection of pipes (standard pipes in different colors and sizes) but not a whole lot of variety (different styles and shapes of pipes). I would recommend this place to anyone looking for smoke stuff or even just looking to check out unique Austin places.

This place has a great selection of glass and rare pieces. Its my favorite place for glass shopping in Austin. Their hours are kind of odd, so double check before you head over. Also, take it slow in the parking lots, kind of treacherous. Friendly faces and doggies await.

I like it. A good place to get something Austin made and the prices are good. Also would say they have some heady pieces - a pulse unique.

Very nice and helpful staff. Didnt have what we were looking for which is a bummer but the store did also have a very sweet dog which made up for it. Plus it looked and smelled very clean and tidy.

Pretty good selection of hookah tobacco. They also have a plethora of pipes and all things blown glass. Lots of great local art. The shop has a nice big sign, but the turn sneaks up on you and is easy to miss.

Nice custom glass but way over priced.Not everyone wants to spend $500 on 4 of glass. Wouldve been nice to have a little in various price ranges. The property outside is overgrown with weeds/ shrubs and kind of creepy actually especially with the people camped out behind/ beside it that pop up out of no where

Friendly corner smoke shop with all the things you need. The staff was helpful, prices were good, available glass is good quality and the number of accessories for it was surprisingly thorough.

This place has been the best since they opened. They sell premium unique glass, they have a plethora of CBD products as well as the lifesaving Kratom products I LOVE!! Best shop in town! Great deals on glass, salt nic, Vapes, etcetera. They have the largest hemp wrap selection in town that Ive found so far at least which is nice because thats all I smoke 😁. The staff is also extremely helpful and nice. Oh! And they always have cute dogs in the shop to play with and pet!

Top notch glass art store. They know what they are talking about and do their best to make sure you are taken care of. Ask for CDOT if you are ever there, the guy knows everything about glass art, blowing glass, etc. Highly recommended.

I came here while on vacation- went in for cigarettes, left with ecig and CBD oil. Very helpful people, good at explaining. Answered all of my questions (sorry there were very many). Cute puppy, the brown one. He bring the ball back well. Very fun experience!

Knowledgeable folks and fair prices. The shop dogs are a huge bonus as well.

Good glass and goodish prices, been around for a while in a few different forms but still good. They cary cheap glass and quality glass as well as other merch and usually have good customer service.

This place is SHADY. This shop sells to minors unapologetically. Every time you call, you get a different story of how they handle sales to minors or a different version of their view of the law. One can actually wear an Austin High T-shirt, say they are 18, and not have to show ID. One can use a credit or debit card and not have to show ID to match. They will take anyones dollar. It is well known that they peddle to kids. They think it is funny, as these employees obviously support the use of pot and started smoking as minors, themselves. They claim there is no manager, and that the shop owner is never there and never answers emails and they will not give his last name. They also claim that the police have checked them out and praise that they ask kids if they are 18 and say it is not the shops fault if they lie. They claim this is the same policy in liquor stores.... We all know this is not true.

This place was awesome ,we called to see when they close and he said they closed at 9 but we were about 15 minutes out at 8:50, although I cant remember his name but the guy stayed open for us and took care of us and we ended up getting everything we needed on Thanksgiving Happy, Thanksgiving my dudes go to this place...

Joe knows what hes doing!!Great selection of water pipes and flavors!Good incense !!I got a thing thatv its called a disposable Vape which has blueberries and ice!!I still have my singing voice after many puffs of puffiness!!!!Primo aftertaste as well.Kids, dont try this at home.blueberries in a cup of ice in a zapping thing for my mouth with a lot of puffy!!!!

Chris noticed my tire was flat on my way out and helped me change it to my spare, he did not have to do that at all, it was really nice of him, shout-out chris🫡

No hookah inventory like the Google map page claims, but nice guys and two suuuuuper sweet dogs (a chocolate lab and a pug) who dont stop bringing you tennis balls. They referred me to Cosmic Cowboy which was also a bust for hookah stuff and the parking lot could use some love, but not bad.

Prime location, wide variety, and knowledgeable, courtesy staff. CDOT and the dude that rocks the taco shirt: cool cats. Highly recommend checking out the product line.

Literally the best place for anything smoking related and the staff is incredible. I go for the experience and just happen to get wonderful deals. Thank you Smoking Depot for the changes youve made its honestly the best.

Im from new braunfels, nowhere in that area or san Antonio has a selection of local beautiful glass like whomp has, and extremely helpful and friendly service, awesome experience, will definitely refer friends and family!

The dude that helped us was kind of dry but otherwise no issues. They have tons of last pieces so its kind of cool.
