Harringtons Pub

Harringtons Pub has been in this location for over a decade. Its been a number of years since Ive been there, though. Pretty much since I left the area in 2017 to work in Eastern Illinois. Well, now that Im back in the area more or less permanently, I felt it was time to visit again.First impressions, the place hasnt changed much. Theres TVs across the bar playing sports, the music is too loud for any decent conversation. Theres still people trying to talk to each other, but its mostly shouting over the music. Not my type of place to go with friends anymore, really. I wont criticize heavily on this point - I just mention it because it is the unfortunate reality I walked into on this night.The furnishings paint a cohesive picture of a place pushing the appearance of an Irish-American pub. Theres a long prominent wooden bar with wooden shelves and fixtures behind it, a couple of wall hangings with Irish words, but more random beer and liquor signs than Irish stuff if you were counting. Theres a few token University of Iowa pieces on the shelves too. Not really my thing as a graduate of Northern Iowa and Iowa State.I had my drink of choice - a few Gin and Tonics. Both were well made, no complaints there. When I was done with my first, I was quickly given another. Well done - no more to say there.Id be inclined to come back on a less busy night with some friends. This was a bit much for me tonight though. Take that as you will, I guess. Thanks Harringtons!

This bar has definitely had its changes, but all in all, I keep coming back. I love the patio, I love that it has great male bartenders. Its an Irish bar, so thats even better!! Small bar, with a Big Energy!!🍀💚💙💚☘️Meatballs is right next door to have food!!

This place is super loud and the bartenders are not trained in making simple cocktails. What kind of place that is just a bar that serves no food doesn’t carry the ingredients to make the simplest of cocktails? They didn’t even have simple syrup. The bartender was absolutely clueless when i names off a few cocktails i liked. She attempted to make a Tom Collins and failed miserably. It’s extremely loud in here and not worth the headache. I couldn’t wait to leave

Nice selection of craft beer for an Irish bar, great service, good crowd. They had live music out on the patio and the bar was singing along to the jukebox

Took out one of my friends and mom. The atmosphere was great and the service was amazing, even with how busy the bar was. The only gripe I have is there were no bar games like darts or pool. In their defence the bar is not quite big enough for it. I did enjoy their beer garden and the music really took us all to a good place.

Love this place. Great selection of both beer and liquor. They are all really friendly and know how to treat a patron. Outdoor seating as well as indoor. Its a small narrow establishment, and can be noisy, but thats not always the case. Just come have a pint and wait for it to all blow over, you wont have any regrets.

The karaoke night here was amazing. I was visiting Iowa and staying at the Rhythm City Casino when a few locals I hit it off with invited me to go to karaoke with them. Im a big fan of karaoke so I happily accepted. The pub is tiny so prepare to squeeze your way through the crowd but with the fun-loving atmosphere, friendly staff and engaging karaoke host its no wonder it was standing room only. The crowd was super receptive to this visitor, singing along to my songs and showering me with praise afterwards. They made me feel totally at ease. In a world where its often the little things that make the difference it was so nice to visit a small pub with a big heart and kind people to match.

Just as good as when I came here 13 yrs ago.

Best karaoke spot in town! Its a great neighborhood bar, love the Happy Hour here too. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel like a regular.

Good mix of old timey and new. Bartender was quick, polite, and funny. I didnt pay for my drinks so I cant comment on prices yet but Im going to guess its near the same as everywhere else. They have things going on seems most days of the week.

Clean establishment, fast service. Good crowd, not loud or obnoxious. The live music that night was Lewis Knudsen, which of course means that it was fantastic. 5 Stars, would visit again.

Great place for karaoke! Fun crowd. It got uncomfortable when the bar back came outside and told us we didnt tip him enough. Poor customer service. Bad experience.

Great owners, great staff, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Almost never closed early, even when everyone else is. Definitely cannot recommend this place enough.

Normally okay but tonight was awful. The past year of coming here has not been it!!! Maybe it’s Covid???? Not a fan!!! Hate it! No good

Unfortunate. Took my wife out to dinner and thought wed stop by ​Harringtons for a coctail afterwards. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes...nothing. One bartender, didnt even look at me. We left

I love stopping in here to have a drink or a few! The staff is fast and friendly. The regulars keep to themselves so its a good idea to bring a friend.

If you want to go to a great pub in Bettendorf, or even the Quad Cities, this is the best spot. Awesome karaoke crowd every Saturday, local bands every Thursday, and hands down the best bartenders in the city.

Awesome bartenders! Karaoke can sometimes make your ears bleed on Saturday nights, but mostly good singers.

This place is like that old TV show theme song, Cheers. Great place!!

Waited ten minutes while tender was on phone to be charged 4.25 for a draft beer of bud light

Its a good place to watch a game with friends. No bargains on beer, but they do have Exile Ruthie.

First time here like the decor very disappointed with the watered-down beers on tap had a summer Shandy and a Deschutes ipa.
