Weird ambience, watered down drinks, high chances of getting your drink spiked by someone in the crowd or by bartenders themselves. Had a tox report the next day and tested hot for benzos. Lawyers would be reaching out to club management.It used to be a good place to party like 3 years ago but not anymore.

I went with my girlfriends for the Desi Boston Night by DJ Savi. They were really bad, hardly played dance numbers, and if they played one, then they would follow it with slow songs. So many Punjabi songs played instead of Hindi and that too way old ones. The Dj couldn’t read the crowd at all. Also the decor at the pub is ridiculous, I am not sure what’s going on with it. They charge you to get in and then charge you extra for cost check. And the drinks also are very expensive. My recommendation is if you are going see who the Dj is, and then make the decision.

The dj plays the same songs. It’s such a boring and repetitive set, they advertise South Indian music..but they played only 1 Telugu song and that was it. Atmosphere was also sucked.

The atmosphere is good, people are attractive, drinks are average price for Boston. However, the door fee is outrageous for what their place is/delivers quality wise. A few months ago it was $40. Now its $50. They keep uping the price, but refuse to add more or renovate things to provide more value to justify the cost. In its current state, its absolutely not worth it.

$15 for a whiteclaw on my creditcard bill. Suppose to be $8-10 but i guess bartender added $5 tip for themselves

Drinks are over priced. Paid $9 for a white claw. Certain bartenders and bottle girls are dishonest. If they think you are very drunk they will charge more. Had a bartender charge my card for $70, THREE times which resulted in my bank blocking my account for suspicious activity. The bartender told me the payment was not going through when in reality she just kept on charging until it wouldn’t anymore. Luckily, my bank was very understanding and was able to give me my money back. On a different occasion, I reserved a VIP section with someone named Marcus. I later found out he was charging double the price for a VIP table behind the owners back. I got my money back but later found out he had been doing this for months with many people during Brazilian nights. On top of all this, there have been two separate occasions where the fire alarm will “go off” around 1:20AM but only the lights flash and no actual alarm goes off. FD never shows up and everyone gets kicked out before 2am. When this isn’t the case, they will stop the music around the same time, turn the lights on, and bouncers will start kicking everyone out. They let ladies in for “free” before 11pm but charge men $40 which if you think about it, they are practically paying for all the women getting in for “free” considering cover charges are usually $20 a person anywhere else you go. Doors don’t open until 11ish which you then end up getting barely 2 hours of good music. These people are SLICK and will rip you off at every opportunity.

FIRST time here last night and will be the last. Went for my birthday and was wearing a skirt. When I was leaving some guy “swiped” the long light up foamy thing they were giving out for free, between my legs. Security put their hand around my waist and offered me a drink??? While letting the guy go??? So unprofessional. NOT safe for girls. Just a shame on this place.

Worst experience ever. expensive cover not worth it. You have to pay for coats separately. Weird crowd. Security didn’t stop us from being followed. Bouncers stared at us. Very few women inside.

Worst place ever. I wish I could give a rating less than 1, that is how terrible this place is. They took 10usd from me as a bribe because I did not have valid id. I had my Indian DL which is accepted as a valid id in Boston but this Indian dude had some connection with the bouncer and they were scamming people to get money. His brother, Ravi Bhai has some pull in the club, so they told me that people who did not have passport were not allowed in and had to pay 15-20usd to get in. Music was also bad. Please go somewhere else.

Granted the space was rented out but it’s quite underwhelming. Bouncers were lovely, bartender not so much -seems like he could use a break. Great idea in theory, in practice, no.

The serve was such a B standing in the private area show off her body dancing for my boyfriend. Worst service to get inside, security are trash disrespecting people like we’re getting the entrance free omg like a nightmare.

We booked the venue for a formal and they made us wait outside for an hour and would let anyone in until 300 people were in a single file line. The bouncers were power tripping the entire time and let one person in per minute.

I just been to this club. We already paid the entry fee & been enjoying the party. I wanted to take the call from my wife, i had to go outside to take the call, as it was too loud inside. But when i tried to come in after 10 mins , after taking the call, the receptionist asked me to pay again to enter the club , even after having the stamp and paying already.I still paid them the money.Its not about the money. But its unfair.Apart from the that, bar staff have been very friendly.

I have been to a club in most major cities of the US and this has been my absolute worst experience by far. The music is trash but the security/staff is even worse. They insisted on separating our drunk friend from their flatmates while two huge bouncers lifted her and took her away into an unknown room in the name of protocol. They treated us like hostile assaulters when we were simply standing and observing what was happening. They forced emergency care bills upon the patient who could have easily made home with her friends. All of us had ID proof and all the necessary documents to show shared residency. Worst staff I have dealt with. Avoid at all costs. Asking us to trust them while they treat us like criminals. Pathetic management.

Staff is disrespectful and rude. the bartenders add their own tip. lets not even talk about the bouncers…horrible and rude. wouldn’t waste my time or money again at this club.

I was about to get in with friends, but the girl at the entrance was rude for no reason. We left immediately. Maybe 21/22 y.o. would put up with that, not us. We just went upstairs to the Royale. Hire nicer employees, especially those who need to interface with people. With another club right upstairs you cant afford to be rude

Don’t waste your money over here. It’s a boring place. Loud music doesn’t mean fun. Fun music is fun.You will definitely find a better place in Boston Downtown. DON’T WASTE YOUR BUCKS HERE!The DJ is most unfriendly and is never gonna listen to you. DJ keeps on repeating the same playlist for 2-3 hours. If you are someone who is interested in the same set songs then this is the place else find something else.Peace! ✌🏽

Maybe I am just old school but I remember Roxy’s Night Club having much more class than this! Took my sister-in-law her as she was in town and wanted to experience Boston’s night life. What a joke! From the bartender who could care less what we ordered for drinks to the ambience that was not even close to a Latin night experience. The music was terrible, the crowd was a variety of a bunch of misfits. I saw a very unattractive man trying to dance on one of the podiums where professional female dancer was supposed to be. A very far cry from what the club scene used to be here and not something I would ever use again to represent Boston. This city can do so much better. Never again!

Worst experience I had here is when my severely intoxicated friend called me crying to come pick him up, and security screamed in my face that I couldn’t get in without cover—took 10 minutes to get them to agree to let me in by giving them my license for collateral. Friend ended up being passed out on the floor in the bathroom, covered in his own vomit. You’re better off at Blend or dbar.

I will start this with saying Ive only clubbed in Vegas prior to this club. I didnt appreciate the $40 cover, but ladies do get in free before 11, you just have to make sure to resevre your ticket. Make sure you get in line before 10:30 though! Line fills up fast on the weekends. Drinks are hella expensive- $60 for 3 bottles of water and 3 shots of Tequila. I liked how everyone for the most part dresses up- different crowd than most other Boston clubs. People actually dance and the DJ the night I went was pretty good. I will say, this is a known club for Brazilians and a lot of people will ask if youre from Brazil. The girls in the club are really nice, and the snotty attitude you see at a lot of Boston bars isnt present. It was a good night, just really expensive for what you get.

Wish I could rate less than this. I had no idea how the bollywood nights on Fridays are. Dj had no idea of mixing songs. Ended up stopping the music at around 12:15ish. It feels suffocated inside the club because zero ventilation. Bad crowd because cheap and unlimited tickets. Basically it’s the last place you want to be in.

This place is racist and colorist, they profiled my friend just because of skin color. This was so injust and it ruined what was supposed to be our fun night out. Theyre ok with people trying to sneak in alcohol but not with people looking different. Seriously messed up our night. POCs, please dont patronize this place. Were not exaggerating this experience, but racist encounters like this one should be called out.

This place is racist - none of us were intoxicated but they refused to let in my friend just because of his looks. It was completely ridiculous and everyone paid and had waited in line. The bouncer was way out of line. Do not go here.

I am very disappointed with the lack of inclusivity at this venue. My friend was not let in because of his looks even though non of us were intoxicated beyond the acceptable level. Candibar has very little tolerance and I would not recommend this establishment.

Had a good time inside. The bartender was the best she was a lot of fun. I was kicked out for dancing, apparently they were about to have someone dance in a circle in front of the bar. Literally just dancing, I did absolutely nothing else. Fun place though but not cool to pay a cover and be kicked out for dancing. It’s a club. LOL.

$5 for water?!?! They don’t give people tap water anymore (which has to be illegal somehow) and charge $5 for a bottle of Poland Spring. AtrociousDon’t come here unless you love the DJ.

Its a middle place but you can dance.I just thought it was bad that youre waiting in lineAnd some things I thought there was a lot of people in it because it was too hot in it.But in the end, its a great place to go with friends to have fun.

Extremely bad experience! DJ was playing random songs and mixes. It was bad to the point that we just sought to go outside for a break! At the gate the bouncers stopped us saying you can only go between 12 am and 1 am. We insisted that we have no interest in coming back but one of them started pushing us to stop. After a lot of verbal altercation (one of them even said, you dont know who I am ), we managed to get out! I am giving 1 star because there is no option for 0 star!

Boston is a nightmare for POCs. These guys were having a Bollywood night, and they singled out of my brown friends who had dark skin saying that he was too drunk. When I questioned him about it, saying that all the girls were as drunk as him, they laughed it off and repeated that he was too drunk. Candibar make POCs who bought tickets feel extremely unwelcome. Please don’t come here if you are a POC.

I went there for Friday Bollywood night. I wouldn’t recommend to go there because DJ is below average than in any club in India. He has only some fixed songs that he keeps on playing on loop eg he played “Kala chasma” song 4 times in 30 minutes. It’s better to go some other club and enjoy. Not worth it.

Went with friends last night. Horrible place . The only good thing is Rob The bartender. The DJ last night was lost . Her music selection was horrible making the dance floor a boring place.

It’s a cool spot, really cool spot actually. If the prices were cheaper I’d give it a 5/5. It’s a money trap: cover, coat check, and drinks. You can spend $60+ easily for the night. But this is how it gets it’s business which I can’t complain too much about. But really, knock down the drinks prices a few bucks to make people happpier.

Place is trash. Body order suffocating me. Drinks come in small scratch up plastic cups. Bathroom TINYAF and clean. Bouncer well they are probably the best part about this establishment Extremely prejudice against Timberland BRAND be warned. Entry cost an arm💪 or leg🦵 crapshoot on the night to be highly disappointed by the small dance floor and no ventilation times because they have 2 danc floors of B.O. for you to endure.

BE AWARE OF YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS!We had a VIP area reserved and somehow our jackets disappeared. They were placed on the VIP sofas and somehow someone snatched them. House/car keys and wallet were in our jacket. There was nothing the house could do about it and they didnt seem to care. It was a nightmare.

BE CAREFUL!!!!!!Its the worst pub I have visited. They charge 15$ for any kind of drinks and if you dont write tip then they will charge from your card. I had a Ciroc vodka shot and they charged me 15$ and I didnt write tip on credit card transaction slip, 2 days later my transaction was posted as 25$, They had just taken tip as 10$ for 15$ tip. It happened not just to me but all my friends. So I suggest all my fellow beings to please avoid going to this pub.

The worst bar ever. Do not go there. The people are rude. They don’t let you enter before 11 so don’t be punctual. It’s not worth it. The drinks are so expensive. They are $5 for the $1 bottle of water. Bar tender is good though. Go to the grand.

Worst club I’ve ever been to hands down. Was a $60 cover and ended up leaving after 10 minutes because the music and vibe was awful. Do not go, do yourself a favor and go to The Grand instead.

This place is ONLY good on Sunday yet they don’t have a working atm nor a working atm within like 3 miles lol. What place that’s open open Sunday night isn’t going to have a working atm of their own when many people are already not going to go on a Sunday and others are on a strict time limit. The owner is clearly either not smart or bad at doing business… probably both. I don’t take this place seriously anyway, it’s a basement.

Great staff and nice latin/hip-hop mixes. Had the opportunity to meet the manager and he is very professional and nice. Prices are very affordable. They have 2 themes, one at each section of the club.

I want to not give atleast 1 star also what much worst experience. I came to Boston from Manchester for this club .The club was too small can’t even stand on Friday .The prices were too high .I request to see any other club .Don’t waste your money .

Nightclub that took over the old underbar space in the theater district. Came here on a Saturday night for drinks and cover was comped on the guestlist so that was a plus. The drinks are typical for the area and the space feels much better then it was during the underbar era. The music was decent but the place did not get busy on this particular night. I am not sure if its because its new or some other reason, but overall its just okay.

Apparently Saturday nights are “Bollywood Night” in a small section of the club, so I thought I’d give it a try. First, it wasn’t worth the $20 cover they had. Second, they should rename it “Bhangra Night” because that’s all they played pretty much all night. The few Bollywood songs they did play they repeated multiple times. C’mon now!! If you’re going to have a night dedicated to a type of music at least mix it up - play the classics, play the top hits (old & new), don’t repeat songs and actually play more Bollywood music if that’s what you’re naming the night!!! And the drinks were way over priced for the amount you get. Overall, I will not be wasting my money again and will not be going back lol

Extremely Disappointed with dj tribahl.club is good but outdated dj he plays a song repeatedly doesnt have any recent top list . travelled from RI only for bollywoood music. So disappointing music not worth it. 😕

It’s the only place where they play Bollywood music, so we had no choice. The bouncers and security is pretty rude. Music was okay!

Yesterday I stood in line for 2 hours to try to get into the party, and when it was 12:30 the security guard said that no one was going to get in anymore, I had already bought my ticket 2 days ago, I was all dressed up because it was Halloween night, in short Total lack of respect for the Public, super rude security, they ruined my night last night, I dont recommend it to anyone!

Worst place in downtown Boston, Ive been to many bad places in Brazil. And the worst bad place in Brazil that I went to, doesnt compare to the candybar environment, because it was better. It surpassed the worst I went to in Brazil, to be more precise in the contagenMG center. Sometimes Americans are right to complain about Brazilians, because Ive never seen so many classless people in my entire life.

Amazing place. Best Brazilian place in Boston! Theres the enchanted favela party. Everyone should live this magical experience. Its simply perfect and incredible to spend a night at Candibar
