nYne Bar & Bistro

Got stranded in Spokane in the middle of the night when a train ran late. Popped in to Nyne for a drink and food, expecting at minimum a welcoming and safe space. I received that PLUS really a tasty drink and delicious food (the gyro is delightful)! Exceeded expectations. Wish I was a local so I could visit again :)

Nachos!! These are the absolute best. I’ve been here so many times. Both during nightlife hours and during the day for lunch. I always have a superb time! Staff are amazing, low turn over so I still see the same staff still even two years later and they are so friendly and welcoming. This really does say something. Love this place!

We immediately felt welcome in nyne. having lived in the west to the midwest and in between, it can be hard to find community. yet we’ve found it in spokane at nyne! i attribute it to being women owned! the staff have been welcoming and supportive to me and my students who use the space during closed hours (see the Gonzaga SPEAR program in action in the picture).

Cool and most importantly a safe space for women and LGBTQ+ people. The music is very diverse. Oftentimes an quite empty dance floor due to that (I assume) but on other days it can be great and full. Great service!!!

I didn’t understand why this club fails to attract larger crowds until tonight. There’s a decent specialty drink menu but there’s no real draw here outside of 8PM drag shows and a sense of place for queer people. A lot of club goers these days don’t leave the house until 10PM. Lack of entertainment is one component but poor service is another. Long waits at the bar when the place has only 14 people in it is hard to understand. Not sure how much longer this place can stay open. I thought the smallest crowds in Spokane were due to COVID but it turns out this place just isn’t that fun.

One of my most favorite bars in Spokane. Clean, friendly, and reasonably priced. Lockers available for coats or bags for a nominal fee. Food choices for everyone. Have the ice cream bar.

Ive gone twice to see a friend play piano on karaoke night. Im disabled and sang, a bit badly, despite being scared. I was concerned about the lack of reference regarding when to sing with the lyrics, but the band was very very accommodating and did backup for me. The guys there are very funny and lovely people, and the bartenders are kind to put up with my questions and social mistakes with my autism. Thank you so much for being so inviting, it makes me feel like I can be apart of a community. ❤️

This place is doing a great job of following COVID regulations and keeping things fun at the same time. We just went to Trivia Night and had a blast!The food is delicious and comes in generous portions. My friends loved their drinks, and as someone who doesnt drink I enjoyed my root beer float. The staff are great, too.

Last night was my first time coming to the nYne bar and the vibe was great when I walked in. I was feeling cute and ready to have some fun. I had just walked in not even for 2mins I’ve been there. I walked str8 to bar and ordered a “pineapple and tequila” from a woman looking person. Not sure what they identify as, but immediately their attitude towards me was so nasty. I was completely caught off guard. Their response to me was “ we don’t have pineapple tequila” and I said “no I just want a pineapple juice and tequila drink”and then they say “ you’re saying it wrong it’s tequila and pineapple” and I’m looking like girl what I simply just said pineapple and tequila what’s the difference? And they go and rudely correctly me and I’m like what is your attitude? And they go I don’t have an attitude and I’m like yeah clearly you do I’m just tryna order and they go if you keep talking ima have you kicked out. Like she was just nasty towards me over me saying pineapple and tequila. I’ve never had this problem before. As a bartender myself I have never said anything if someone says pineapple first. I immediately know what they are saying because they added the and tequila. Not just saying pineapple tequila. So as someone who’s born and raise in Detroit I was bout to snap on them cus the hostility and nasty approach towards just was just gross. So instead of escalating thing’s I asked a different coworker to get their manager. She didn’t wanna make my drink. Like she was just rude. The manger was so nice and said that they would deal with the issue with her later. I hope she does and not enable her to have that nasty abusive behavior. Because that’s just not okay. It takes a lot for me to make unpleasant reviews and I felt the need to because of the way she was towards me. I’m not exaggerating her attitude was just gross. If I go back I will completely avoid that person. I will never allowed that person say anything to me again. Other than that the vibes was decent. Happy Pride!

I am in the military. Been all over the country. This makes me feel free. Friendly staff. Patrons. The thing I hate the most is I have to leave. Please keep it up. Love you all.

Just talked to a staff member on the phone (unfortunately I cannot recall their name - I think it started with an R) and it was such a pleasant experience. Went above and beyond in providing information and answering my questions. I LOVE nYne and this is one of the million reasons why! Thank you!

Very inclusive experience for us, for a brief moment, we forgot we were in homophobic Spokane. The drinks we ordered were super sweet but, the bartender was friendly enough to add more soda 🌈

Great gay/queer bar in the area. Large space, with stage/performance area/dance floor, bar area and tables with seats. Bartenders were fast and friendly. Went there towards the end of a drag show and it was fun. Dance floor opened with some good bops from the 2000s (pop hits and remixes), smattering of newer dance songs. There was a skee ball game.Did not try any food. Recommended.

Great place to go dancing. Drag shows can be a lot of fun. Overall its a really fun and energetic atmosphere.Prices are okay and if you get there early enough theres no cover.The dance floor isnt very big, but it will fill up with people and everyone seems to have a great time dancing the night away.Its very clean and there has been security every night weve been there.Its defiantly worth checking it out if youve never been or are looking for a nice place to dance for the evening.

Charged my card for my two friends drink instead of my own and when I asked about it they told me it should show up as the right amount within a few days. However, it still shows same amount. I work for Spokane County Superior Court so hoping they keep their word and I don’t have to take further action for what should have been an easy fix. Usually businesses fix these issues immediately so we shall see what they do…

Karaoke on Wednesday nights. Best nachos in town - try the chicken, and go for the spicy sauce.

Been here for over 1 year now and love what nyne does for the community with hosting events for many organizations. The food is good for bar food.My only serious complaint is the music at night. It seems to be at the beginning of the night (before 9) you see the dj true style of music and what music they enjoy being played. However, around 10every single song fromPrior weeks are played on repeat where you can guess what song is coming next. It’s almost like they have a script of music that they can only play and it’s honestly boring, repetitive, and lacks any club hits.If you are at nyne, you will always see the crowd die out around 1030 most likely because of this.

Listen, I LOVE it here. Out of everywhere in Spokane, it has the best vibes, atmosphere, and community.HOWEVERI am BEGGING them to update the playlist because its almost always the same songs every time. I would really like to see more variety in the playlist because I will always choose here over other clubs in the area. Just getting a little bored :/

This is a great bar. Its a wide open layout with plenty of space for dancing, a well planned stage, and a really solid sound system. The cocktails are creative and fun and the selection of beer and spirits is wide. The staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is very inviting. This is a very LGBT+ friendly place in addition.

Had the nachos and a side salad. Delish. My queer heart was so happy to see that there is a big queer bar in a fairly conservative city. Happy Hour beers too! :)

A group of friends and i went here last night. We had so much fun! Its nice to go to a place where everyone is accepting. Karaoke night was in full effect when we went in and we had a blast singing along with some of the songs. Id recommend this bar to anyone! We are all straight and guess what...no one cared. Super hip, chill place to hang out!!

This place is amazing. Not only are they an all inclusive bar they are owned by some amazing humans. They arrive to do amazing things in the community while providing a safe space for all to have fun. Even though things look different in these times. nYne still does a good job providing good space for all to have fun and let go. Their food is great their service amazing and their drinks and cocktails are stellar too.

First time there last night. A+ experience. Good drinks, food, and drag… plus employees supported me popping off on a TERF. What more could one want? 🥰

The bouncers can be a bit cranky. But for the most part, this place is absolutely fun and has a fantastic vibe. Its definitely one of my favorite places to be out on town.

Friendly atmosphere. Menu selection was limited, but food was good quality. Bartenders were knowledgeable and experienced. The have doormen at about 8pm that will take your ID and Cover charge (if there is one). There is coin op street parking and paid public parking lot directly next to the building. Street parking is free after 7pm.

Their food is amazing but you wouldnt be able to tell! This is always my go-to nightclub when Im in Spokane! I love the staff! And the owner makes you feel like youre family! I love that she takes it upon herself to say high even when shes busy!

I love the atmosphere here!!! Its a great upbeat place with loads of wonderful vibes. And its so amazingly colorful!!!!🌈🌈🌈🌈 I havent been to many bars yet but this place is so far hands down my favorite place to be!! Seating was very well spaced, staff was fabulous and even with the big shop door open, it was comfortable inside. Our group enjoyed several different sandwiches from the Chick For Gays menu and our drinks were delicious! We will be back for more!

Was there after 3p for a Carona and bite to eat with a good friend, I almost cried as it was so emotion being there after more than a year. This was the most accepting place I’ve ever been to. I can honestly say it was one of the best nights I’ve had. The drag show was incredible and a queen even bought us drinks! I danced for 5 hours straight (I’m out of shape so that’s saying a lot) and I felt so at home. Every person was so friendly and sweet and I made multiple friends and danced with people I’ve never met. I could easily come back every weekend and I know I’d have just as much fun. We paid $5 to get in and it was BEYOND worth it! Can’t say enough good about this place 😍 felt so much love and positivity the moment I stepped in.

This place is primarily catered to alternative lifestyle folks and same sex couples. I would not recommend this place to a straight person if you’re looking for fun for r wanting to meet anyone. If all you want to do is drink and play pool then this place is good for that. Otherwise it’s fairly small but decent size for Spokane.

The atmosphere is very fun! We always enjoy dancing here and the drinks are great. It gets very busy but the staff does good keeping up with the business. The bouncers are kind too!

The manager is the sweetest, most badass woman and she genuinely cares about the people who come in to the bar. Bartenders are really nice as well. Love coming here to dance! It feels like a safe, fun environment.

Came here on a date and we had a good time. Drinks werent too expensive and the bartenders were very funny. Drinks werent too bad either. She enjoyed her lime beer thats a local brew. Recommended!!

This is one of my favorite places to have a night out! The atmosphere is always incredibly inviting and fun. Matt is such a blast to chat with and truly makes you feel as though youve been friends for years. If you havent been to nYne yet, youre really missing out!

Always love this place. I try to behave, and theyre extremely understanding yet very firm on their policies. They have great bouncers, the owner is super nice, great drinks, all around fun place where everyone is welcome. No drama. I will always go back and be more respectful to them than each time before!

NYNE is a really fun place to come dancing and hang out. The have drag queens on the weekends which is super fun. It’s pretty spacious and they have key lockers that you can rent for $2 to secure your personal belongings while you have fun. There is an elevated stage where you can dance behind the drag queens if that is your jam and they also have karaoke on select nights.They charge a $5/person cover at 10pm on the weekends so I would definitely recommend coming before $10 if you wanna save some $$.

This place was very fun very clean very positive. The staff is extremely adept in what they do, from the bartenders to the bouncers. The atmosphere was amazing and we even went on a really busy night and regardless of intoxicated individuals everyone was respectful of boundaries when needed. We will be returning customers here for sure 😁

Our favorite bar to go to in Spokane. I always feel at home here. The bar tenders are great. They have good DJ’s on weekends. Always got something fun going on during the week. Should check them out!

I often spend my evenings on Fridays and Saturdays at Nyne. They have good drinks and plenty of seating (for those who dont want to dance the night away). Taco Tuesday is one of my favorite days of the week and they make some really good food here. Additionally, this is one of the only places in Spokane that has an actual dance floor! Love the staff and the security. Highly recommend.

Havent been to a bar in years. Sang some karaoke. Enjoyed myself. They have good food. I had a sundae with a chocolate chip cookie. I commented that this is what a chocolate chip cookie should taste like. The guy doing karaoke was great.

I attended a fundraiser here with the cast from The Lion King production. The staff was amazingly fast and friendly. The food look so good also. This place has always had a fun environment.

Fantastic lgbt+ crowd! The drinks are reasonably price, they have secured lockers for your valuables, the dance floor isnt covered in dropped drinks, and the security is100% professional. Its a regular spot for us for sure

We visited from out of town and loved it! Such a fun upbeat atmosphere and we will be making a point to visit again!

It was Friday night and they had a quasi drag show with lip synching. Pleasantly there was no cover charge and they offered lockers to rent for $2 located near the restrooms. Totally worth it! The drinks were ok but quite expensive ($12 for a keg glass) for a long island iced tea. I typically dont drink hard alcohol and I didnt even have a buzz after 2. DO be careful and watch your drink and anyone that may approach you. Im certain I was almost the target if a roofie slip. Keep your hand over the top of your drink if anyone unfamiliar approaches and gets fairly close.

Great place to dance and hang out. The staff is great and do a great job handling any issues that come up. Never seen a fight there and people are generally there to have a good time. :-)

Ive tried going here several times over the last couple years and its pretty consistantly awful. Im convinced the only reason people get on the dance floor is for a good song (in which the dj cannot take credit for) that you could listen to on the radio and its one of the very few places to even dance around here. Service & ownership is not great. Drinks are terrible and overpriced. DJs are a joke and just play random mixes as if were at a middle school dance, cant transition between songs, and have zero originality.

One of the best places to dance in Spokane. They play a wide range of music. Drinks arent amazing but are pretty good. Friendly service, but lets be honest, you go here to hit the dance floor more than anything.

Its a great bar. Just make it your end of the night bar on the weekends, and not a stop along the way. Thats not a critique on the bar staff. Theyre GREAT. But the bar area gets crowded and it can be a chore to get to the bar and get drinks when folks dont clear out after theyve ordered. Also, check out karaoke with Ryan. The guy will always make sure the newbies get a chance, even with a rotation full of regulars. Hell even sing with you if you need help!

This is my go-to place in Spokane. They always host neat events. Trivia every Thursday, Taco Tuesday and Seahawks games are in their regular rotation. Its the perfect place for dinner before a show at The Bartlett. The staff is always super friendly. Its always clean and the owners are present often and chatting with patrons. You really cant ask for a better hometown bar.

Hands down my favorite bar/club in all of Spokane. The crowd can get obnoxious at times - as with all drinking establishments - but the bar staff do a great job of handling it. Fun shows, great drinks, ridiculously good food for a bar... The only place I want to go to when I go out dancing!

I love nYne. I want to say that this is NOT a lesbian bar. It is a bar owned by lesbians and many of their friends have come to be a big support. So, yes, you will often see many people from the GLBT community because this place is not trashy and it feels safe. But its an EVERYBODY bar. Great place to hang out for holiday events.

Ive seen good reviews from this place. However I went there with my friend and the entire staff seemed to have a stick up their ass. The door guy was rude and a buzzkill and the bartenders were absolutely horrendous. Bought two drinks and the second one came in a smaller glass because the bartender told me he couldnt find the larger glasses.Then he started making the wrong drink and I corrected him and he told me I need to speak upmore. Some of the worst customer service Ive ever had at a bar. They should cheer up or not work around customers because I dont intend to come back after being treated so poorly at a place Im spending $5 to get in and $10 for a drink!

This place is SO fun!! Its a lesbian bar for those that dont know. They have drag queens that dance on stage, pool tables and a big dance floor. There is a cover sometimes so its best to show up early! Highly recommend!

It is the only fun place to dance in this town! They have great music. Not a bunch of pop or chomercial rap like Pitbull or whatever. Just real hiphop, some Edm but not too much. As good as it gets around here. Great drinks as well. And for the rare few that wont go in bc youve heard its a specific crowd, you would be wrong. It is a good mix of everyone which also makes it great.

Last weekend we had an awesome time, but this weekend the bar was so loud we had to leave and buy earplugs to enjoy it. The dance floor was empty because it hurt to be on it, and the decibel app showed volumes of 115 dbs 30 feet from the speakers. 30 minutes at 95 db causes permanent hearing loss. Best LGBT bar in Spokane, but it lacks consistency.

Fun, classy place, with good food, wonderful drinks, and great people. Great bartenders, and KJ host! Lots to do with do karaoke on Wednesdays and Thursdays, trivia on Thursdays @ 6:30, before karaoke and they have a killer DJ on the weekends. 2 pool tables, and several TVs. Fun place!

One of the greatest gifts in our town. Not only is it a badass night club but it also is a meeting place and community center during the day. Thank you for being here!

I was not able to attend because of severe flannalnitegownondagrounitis, but one of my very best friends had to get off the phone because he was too busy gettin’ ready for Da nYnes to put him on!! He said the comedian compelled him to return from a previous visit, So he was excited to go back and toast his recently departed sister. I am excited to hear how the show went, Because I’ve been to the nines before and that place is all ready a great show!! I’m so excited for new comedy in the city!!.

I came to town on a visit and asked a local where to go. She recommended Nyne for the music and dancing. This turned out to be a great reccomendation and they have 50 cent pool games! The atmosphere was fun and they have a water keg at the bar that was a thirst quencher for me!

My wife had been dying to go try their chicken sandwich for awhile so we finally went and had one. I had the bbq chicken and it was great. Also trivia happens on Thursdays. It was a great night out

Owner is choosing who can go in.. kinda discrimination, really I dont want go there any more and talk with all my friends, all my customers and latin community in this town about that. I was there tonight and waiting on the line to get in, I showed my ID, the door guys talk between them, and one of the guys tell me the owner say Im not welcome there. I was very surprise because I never met the owner i dont have been there for one year.. Just would like to know for whats reason im not welcome there. I dont feel bad, just feel how latin people are discriminated in this town. Really I dont recommend this place. Place is beautiful and attractive but management so poor...

Super impressed with the quality of food...and even more impressed because it is a bar. The coconut with ginger beer drink is so gentle and smooth and not sickening sweet. My new best favorite drink!

Been assaulted 3 times at this place. Boring people and music. Bartenders would rather play on their phones than get you a drink. Want a good gay bar go to Seattle.

Absolutely my favorite place to go dancing in Spokane the music ranges from hip hop to classic rock to old school. And everyone is LOVE!! I LOVE THIS PLACE

Ive been to this place a handful of times and always have to talk myself into giving it another chance, only to be more disappointed than the last time. Needless to say, I cringe at the suggestion of going back. The space is very nice, Ill give them that, but the staff is horrendous. Since when does the customer have to kiss the bartenders back side to get an overpriced, watered down, warm glass of booze? As if they are doing you a favor by taking your money and expecting a tip for their generosity. Coming here, you can almost certainly expect a hearty insult with every transaction, compliment of the house. The place is either too loud, forcing you to yell in order to have a conversation, or the bar is flat out dead as a door nail; so if youre looking to go deaf or drink alone (having only the rude bar wench to keep you company) this it the place for you. Indeed, there are some gays in this place (primarily, bitter man hating lesbians) but you wont catch this, or any other self respecting gay man in here anytime soon, and certainly not paying some god awful expensive cover charge.

The queens there are wonderful and its a great place to go dancing. I wished there was a little more room on the dance floor though, it gets really crowded and people start spilling drinks on you.

I was told by told by the blonde girl with highlights and big hoops on her ears that she wouldnt serve me. I literally had one drink before I came here and it was clear to me she was being unprofessional. She was serving older woman no problem 11/20/2019

I like the place but as a 62 year old, I find it demeaning to be required to show ID to get in. This is the fourth event I have come to here, and you never hit me with this authoritarian B.S. until now.There is absolutely no valid reason for it. It is not legally required. The only reason that I can see is you want everyone who enters to bow down to authority of your staff. I am not doing that. And, as a journalist, you would have gotten a lot of public love from me for hosting Dem. Debate watching party. But apparently you value having all patrons bow down to your doormans authority over your value of having good marketing and public relations. Congratulations, you got what you wanted.

On the 8th Annual BoozeRun 2018, stopped in to collect our Pin at nYne Bar & Bistro, 8th stop of 9. BOOM TOWN! One of my favorite night clubs in Spokane - always entertaining! Got great music, pool tables, indoor and outdoor seating, and most weekend nights theres at least one or two dancers on stage with the DJ.

Nyne is a nice downtown juke joint replete with loud and upbeat music. The clientele are varied to the point of the coolest thing south of Spokane River.Ben the Bartender is soooo cool.Matty rocks.Nachos rule.

The place has an amazing atmosphere. I showed up before it got busy and it was cool to see all the people trickle in. Ill definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone interested.

Nachos are basic bar food. It had some type of odd nacho cheese on it. Jalapenos were good and spicy. Fun place to dance, play pool or just chill.

Great for karaoke. Covid restrictions kind of kill the vibe but its great for a night out with a group. I went on a Thursday night so the night was lively enough.

Always a gun place to be when you have a night off. Great place to go dancing. Its a little pricey, as it has a cover and the drinks are pretty expensive.

Had a great time with my friend. Never once felt out of place as a straight woman and the beers in draft were great. Definitely going again .

Being a lgbtqa member and having a place that doesnt discriminate is the best feeling i have made great friends and the bartenders and cooks and other staffs are amazing folk a shout out to the dj ryan who makes karoke happen there being a pup and being able to go and have fun in my gear and not be told to leave or remove anything i greatly appreciate the love nyne bar has for our community

Fun place, but parking is horrible (downtown) and its over crowded... get there early to have any breathing room. Not such bad issues to have really 😁

NYne and the Bartlett (right next door) are great places for drinks, food and hosting gathering type events. They are downtown just across from the train station.
