I came to Boston to visit some friends from college and we were very excited to go out for our first night in the city. Our night was ruined because of the bouncer, named Jordan. After looking at ONE of our IDs, he told us to leave because were all from North Carolina and had North Carolina licenses. Bros job is literally being able to tell the difference between a fake and real ID and he couldnt even do that right. Like at this point just get an ID scanner and let Jordan go be ridiculous somewhere else. Dont waste your time going to Metro Nightclub unless you want to be turned away for no reason too
Good music but just felt like a glamorized mediocre bar. Also super confusing displaying the ginger beer like its a beer option, I had assumed it was alcoholic, you cant read packaging in the light which also confused me because there wasnt any menus by the bar or anything really visable. Just seemed way over staffed too. There was more staff than actual people there it was an odd vibe.
Had an amazing night here! Drinks are a little pricey, but the bartenders were quick and friendly. Definitely a small space but the lighting was so fun, the dance floor was full without being too crowded and the music was great—cover was $20 when we got there around 9:30/10. Also, security was visible and helpful w/o being intimidating—great spot for how small it is!
Leaving the club now. Nothing like smelling B.O. and feet every 2 minutes. They spend time giving you a pat down at the door but dont bother to screen you for ungodly smells. Left the club early tonight because of the rancid smell of body odor down there. What a shame because the service and DJ were fantastic.
I came to visit Boston and was told “we don’t have to let in people from out of state”. The bouncer “JORDAN” looked at our IDs like he was trying decode the world’s most impossible crossword. He didn’t let us in because me and all of my friends are from NC. WEIRD. Don’t go here if you’re from outside of Boston.
Went here with a large group of friends not knowing what to expect, and had an absolute blast.Main reason for 5 stars is that the hospitality at Tunnel was by far better than any club I have been to in Boston. Every single staff member were of the most friendly people Ive met working at a club/bar scene. Props to you all!
Trash. Don’t waste your time. Waited in line for 2 hours. Unless you’re “VIP” they’ll make you wait. I don’t know how or why some people were getting in. Bouncers were racist and made snide remarks to minorities. Owner came out and cursed out the front people in the line for asking how long the wait was. He kept shoving us back even when we were behind the line, also encouraged racist comments at people in the line. Go here if you want to be berated and treated inhumanely. Trash
The look and feel of this places was really neat. Music was ok too, but the service was absolutely awful. Had made table reservations for 8 for a table and bottle service and all seemed well, got right in, everyone was happy, well dressed and in good spirits. It started off fine... got our drinks served and started to dance we had just finished a bottle, and still had full drinks in our cups, and were dancing and having a fun time and had been there for exactly an hour when they decided to seat another party at our table... even though there was an empty table next to ours, my drink was cleared away even though three of the people from our group were sitting, my jacket was still there, when my friend tried to complain about this they kicked us all out. None of us were overly drunk, or crazy and we were paying customers. It was so rude and so unprofessional. We went to Emerald right up the street where we were ushered in with smiles and treated like guests, and stayed right until last call dancing and having a good time. I do not recommend Tunnel. It is impersonal, money hungry, and not fun unless you like being treated badly by rude staff.
Who wants to deal with pretentious doormen and bartenders when you go out for a good time? The staff at Tunnel are the friendliest Ive experienced. The doormen are such gentlemen and the bartenders are super attentive and friendly.Drinks are reasonably priced and made well. The crowd are typically grown, mature and sexy. Music is fantastic! Always a great time here.
Have been here multiple times and for multiple occasions. I must say how much I truly enjoy the music and bartenders. The crowds are diverse and everyone is there to have a good time. The crowd doesnt make you feel as if youre stepping into a college party, people dress to impress and the environment is extremely enjoyable. So check it out guys! Surely to have a great time!
Pretty small inside . Atmosphere is a cool vibe when there are people . Hard to get drinks when there enough people there. Bartenders lack in service
A very trendy and chic night club. Drinks are reasonably priced and delicious! Music is diversified and always keep the crowd going. Ive also been there for New Years and Halloween and it never disappoint! Definitely our favorite spot in Boston !!
DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I was lied to at the front door saying the bar would be open for 2 more hours and so I paid the $20 cover charge but it was actually only open for 20 more minutes. The music was trash and people were creepy. The only good part was a really nice employee named Heavy.
Spent hundreds of dollars on bottle service to get attitude and crap service. The waitresses suck at this place... plain and simple. Came on a thursday night and dealt with attitude and unpleasantness all night from our table waitress. Above and beyond the attitude problem was her inability to do her job. Its not that difficult to stand there and pour us drinks. At first she was in front posted up but as the night went on she kept disappearing for long periods. Why would I ever want to pay hundreds of dollars for a vodka I cant even drink because of my waitresses incompetence. When I reached out to hotel/ club management all I was offered a free round of drinks next time for my bad experience. PATHETIC BUSINESS
I havent been out in awhile. Went to dinner at the Via Matta Italian food and then the gfs wanted to grab a few drinks and dance. We went by Tunnel the front door guys were very nice! They let us cut the line since we were freezing!!! The atmosphere was very low key, music was awesome, we had a few request and the djs played our songs. The bartenders were all very friendly got our drinks and it was done right! I would def recommend and come back again!
I have so much fun every time I go to Tunnel. The employees at the door are very professional and friendly; even as a person of petite stature, it has never been difficult for me to order drinks from the bartenders because they are always paying attention to the crowd. I love that the lights on the ceiling are synchronized to the music, and that I rarely ever have to wait in a line for one of the FOUR womens restrooms!
My friend and I went to Tunnel this past Thursday. Now we are not from Mass, so we came to meet up with some friends. My girl and I white females and we walk in with no problems. Our friends then show up a little later and say that the only way to get into Tunnel is via Guest List. Now, both of us work in a night club as bartenders so I decided to ask the Bouncer. He had no clue what I was talking about. I then go upstairs and ask the hostess. They said there is no guest list they just have to pay entry fee. I then go outside to speak with manager/owner. He said the only way to get into this club is if your name is on the guest list. I then said okay... Then how did I get in? He had no response.... My friends are from ATL and they were dressed nicely. Polo, Jeans, and nice shoes. They turned them down. I walked and the hostess ask if they were coming. I stated that the guy outside said guest list only. She looked super confused and said what??? The guy outside gave her the eye and she said oh....Customer service was horrible!
My experience at tunnel was just okay. Just like everywhere else, expect to pay a $10 cover. Drinks are on the less expensive side ($10-$15) for a Boston nightclub. The DJ, on the Saturday night that I went, was mediocre. He played a mix of top 40 and festival house. It wasnt bad enough to make people to complain, but it was nothing special either. The main draw to tunnel is obviously the LED covered ceiling. That was very cool, and Im sure that it can make for some amazing experiences when paired with the right DJ. Ill try my luck here again, as they do bring in some talent during weekdays. They should try to up their promotion game on the weekends.
Finally, a trendy upscale nightspot where young professionals can dance and drink the night away under an ultra cool LED light ceiling. It is definitely one of the hottest nightspots in Boston. Max, one of Tunnels partners is a gracious host with a vibrant personality. The bartenders are quick, efficient, and whip up amazing drinks. My girlfriends and I love the atmosphere here and always have a great time.
Great place once it hits around 11:30, after that it gets packed with people so if you’re into that it’s great! I personally like it when there’s a lot of people. The bartender was very nice and pleasant. As for the drinks, quite expensive, I believe a shot was about $10. So you’re better off pregaming somewhere cheap and then coming here to dance! Check it out!
Came here for St. Patty’s and was having a great time with my BF and BFF when we were visiting from Atlanta. My boyfriend got kicked out at 11:30 for acting drunk but he was just dancing. Guess guys in Boston have to stand in the corner and sway back and forth and only girls are allowed to dance? Not recommended if people of BOTH genders want to get out and dance their a** off.Bartenders were a lot of fun but the bouncers were over the top.
Staffers were exceptionally Unknowledgeable. The site said they open at 9:30 but two doormen couldnt tell me an actual opening time. Showed up again at 10:45 to be told they werent sure if there was a cover or what time they officially opened. Went halfway down the stairwell to be SHUNNED by other workers who swore they didnt open until 11 (at this point it was 10:50). Absurd way to treat potential customers especially on a Tuesday when no other customers are in sight. Would never go back in or suggest to anyone.
Im 22 years old and they wouldn’t let me in cause they didn’t believe I was of age even after showing the bouncer my license. My friends and I then had to call an uber to find a new place to go although we planned all night to go to tunnel, which was a huge inconvenience. I would NOT recommend going there because if it happened to me it probably happens to others. The bouncer also asked to see my facebook profile and still did not believe me. They are unprofessional and absolutely stupid
Ordered a bottle and waitress charged my card before checking if it was in stock, it wasn’t. Then offered to “give me a deal” if I spent double the amount I originally planned on. I was told I would be refunded but never was. The number posted doesn’t even ring if you try to call it. Scammers, will never return or recommend.
Not sure why so many people complain here lol. We drove 3h from NY got there before 11, friendly bouncers made a funny comment about needing guys because too many girls were there. I made sure to be on the guest list so its was free to get in. Great music, environment and crowd.
Bouncers were the worst human beings. My brother had a ticket and they wouldn’t let him in because it was 5 minutes past the time but they were rude and condescending even though he was waiting in line. Do not go!!!
My friend lost her jacket at the Tunnel club owned by the W due to the coach check person either giving it away or stealing it. After contacting the W and Tunnel directly several times it was to no avail and we were not offered the jacket back or given compensation for its $250 price tag. We had asked to speak to the GM and were given his email address instead of a direct phone number by a person answering the hotels phone. After 3 emails and no response we realized they had no regard for our complaint. Even still we have not heard from the GM or management regarding compensation for this lost item on THEIR part. Horrible customer service, and I am not looking to provide them business here ever again.
Fun club for Boston, with an older crowd in comparison to many of the other clubs in Boston that are filled with College students. In addition the bottle service is more affordable in comparison to the surrounding clubs. In addition the their is rarely a long line here which is a plus especially in the winter.
ATM was out of service. The ghetto security guard made us send him Venmo money to his personal account. Drinks were overpriced and the crowd was trash high schoolers. Avoid. Waste of time and money.
Great underground place, love the lights and the vibe, very international and the DJ was played amazing hits, drinks were amazing!!!Definatly the best place to dance and have a good drink in Boston so far!!!!
Bouncers are really rude . Let all their friends in and make people they dont know wait. Nearly impossible to get a drink. Small. Crowded. Bunch of ignorant people in there. Might have went on a bad night but that was my experience
Okay club but too small. Coat check was full and still charged cover within last few mins of closing. Expensive drinks and very small venue. No defined dance floor, just some long narrow hall.
Ive only been here for corporate events and the space has been good for that. Easy access to the bar and the music was not deafeningly loud. Also, very nice clean and private toilets.
The short little bouncer/security guy was loooking to pick a fight with anybody that walked past him. It was honestly a bad time all around- bad service and bad vibes. Never coming here again.
I couldnt believe how the doormen were so unprofessional. I basically had on church slacks, Gucci polo, along with Gucci loafers. I was denied at the door. LIKE WOW, DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES AT CLUBS/LOUNGES STILL EXIST I SEE.
We went here to dance and hear good music! A night out w my sister in law, my daughter & my niece! SOOO much fun!!
Umm I always go to this place when I’m in Boston lol BUT TeLL THE DJ TO STOP PLAYING DRAKE All night please lol I love him but not all night we need DIFFERENT ARTIST OKAY I’m done lol
Tunnel has very small dance floor. It is not in the level of city like Boston and $ 20-30 is a steep cover for that.
Cool atmosphere but small and over priced cover. Pretty typical of boston clubs though. Could be good with a good DJ.
Cool idea and unique venue, but its never really busy, cover is overpriced and the drinks are standard for the area.
Awesome underground venue to dance and drink in with fun, friendly stay. Good place to have your birthday party at.
I had an amazing time at this nightclub. Perfect for dancing and drink prices were pretty good too
The crowd was so dead even when the streets outside are still pretty crowded. No coat check it seems
There is something really wrong here. The owner thanks everyone writing a positive review but ignores unhappy customers. Shame on management. Terrible.
Too cheap behavior by the head of security. It looks like he was too much drunk! Wont prefer any more.
We went there for my friends birthday we had a great time!
Great atmosphere great crowd....great staff and service little over priced but it’s very enjoyable
It’s everything I expected & so much more 💋
Great security, felt safe
Awesome place with great music and great vibes
By far the WORST night club experience in Boston.
Not recommendable, waste of time and 20$
Love this place? Is it still open?
Tunnel was very good!
Amazing!
Worst bouncers
A very nice place to have a good time, dance, drink...
