I had the pleasure of being helped by Jake(what a coincidence) at my first visit, he was very helpful and he knew exactly what I needed, knew exactly what I was asking, and all around did an excellent job at making sure I knew what I was purchasing, he had a very good understanding of how the glass worked as well, which is something I look for when shopping around, for a very quick 10 minute stop as my original intent, my expectations weren’t all that high, regardless of the fact Jake went above and beyond in customer service and will definitely be coming back just on his service alone!Edit: The big beefy boy is Mt. Olympus and the Halloween themed is Pumpkin Spice

There is no reason to shop any other shop in Manatee county. I had an issue with a new product that I bought today and their response was over and beyond!!!

All I can say is Wow!!! Overpriced! This is the most expensive shop Ive ever visited. I would recommend finding a cheaper place to visit for basic needs. For being in the questionable area they are in, they definitely need to rethink $400.00 for this pineapple water pipe!! It was not made of gold or diamonds. Its a glass pipe that will get broken. They want over$50 for a basic bowl. Pretty crazy! I wont be visiting this shop again

Best smoke shop I’ve been to! The store is always clean, welcoming, and a comfortable environment— I used to go to a variety of smaller shops in the area and they didn’t consistently had what I needed but Desert Winds has never failed! Staff is impeccable and knowledgeable and coming in/receiving deliveries from Wesley is always a pleasure. Recommendations are always top knotch, and the rewards program is spectacular! If you ever have a problem with anything they will always resolve it— they always make their priority to help you and give you the best experience possible. It was alright. For a first time buyer I wish they would of explained things a but more and filled my tank up for me. They made it feel awkward and uncomfortable. Had to go back in to ask for tank to be filled.

I personally love the “hands off” sales tactics - this isn’t a shop that will run you away from being too overbearing.The shop itself is small, but offers a giant selection of inventory. Decided to stop in yesterday to see what they had and what their prices were, as Im in the market for a new piece. The guy that was working was extremely helpful answering all my questions and was friendly from the time I walked in til the time I left. They have some very nice pieces. I didnt end up getting one, because the one I wanted was a little out of my price range for right now, but in a week or two when I have the extra money ill definitely be back. Their prices were right about what I expected, and seemed a little more reasonable than some of the other shops in the area. On top of that, the service was top notch. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking a new piece.

I love this place for all your vaping and smoking needs. I dont drive and they offer a free delivery for orders 15 and up I believe, (I always spend over 25 a visit) and let me tell you its a life saver! They have a super user friendly app for orders. 10/10 And ofcorse the staff is super chill and friendly

Today was our first time at this shop. Its got great product selection at good prices for a brick and mortar shop. The guys that work there are not stuck up like a lot of shops like this. They are knowledgeable as well. I highly recommend this shop, and Im a headshop snob.

I understand that buying from a shop is pricier then purchasing online, however these guys were helpful and I learned things I wouldnt have just going online, plus if you factor in shipping and signature fees, the prices advertised online are similar to what you end up paying here, but here you get helpful advice, and your walking out and able to vape same day. Im real happy with the mod I got here, so far its great, I ran into many shady vape store workers and owners in my search for vapes but these guys were straight shooters!

Their pricing on a 60 ml bottle of Pachamama, 3 mg nic, Fuji apple, strawberry nectarine ejuice is on the highest side, If I remember correctly,It was over $20.00, but they have what I need and that counts for everything. Ive purchased Smok replacement coils, too, the pricing is competitive on them. Nice store, highly recommend!

Inexperienced staff for the products they sell. If youre from a legal state this shop has a replacement for something in a pinch but the price hike makes you want to order online.

I came in to buy items totaling over $32. They have a customer rewards card (10%off), but the owner neglected to mention anything about it. Until i looked online and i happened to notice it. I shop there atleast once a month. They should tell u about it if they want to Reward Repeat customers. The 10% discount is something every customer wants. The10% discount you offer for purchases over $25 on your app/web site.

Originally this was a 5 star review bevause the staff Very helpful and they had good prices! But upon returning home from Vacation we noticed that we had been charged twice for our purchase. I would say it was possible that a mistake was made on accident but the charges were a penny different from one another due to our financial Institute not allowing duplicate transactions for the exact same amount so there was no mistake! USE CAUTION WHEN DOING TRANSACTIONS WITH THIS STORE and check your account balances after any and all purchases!

Great cozy store. Super helpful staff on all but one of our visits. Pretty high Mark ups on some of their e-cigarette supplies. Solid prices on all the glassware though. Would happily recommend.

There were about 4 people working behind the counter. It was my first visit and only one person came over to help me and was friendly. The others just loomed at me and the guy at the register was straight to the point and not friendly at all. They have quite a collection of merchandise tho and I will be going back there if I have anymore smoking needs

The employee jake has an obvious passion for his workplace and takes it serious. He’s got a great personality and helps the “regulars” out as much as possible. Would highly recommend to people who like dealing with employees with actual personalities lol pieces are 10/10 so far and this is number 7.

Honestly don’t feel like being a bad guy and rating it anything less than 3. Always pretty nice when I bought things but my friend bought a vaporizer pen and the battery was broken. We brought it back and an employee said the battery was swapped out and gave us one without micro usb input and then just gave us a screw on charger, one manager stared me directly into the eyes and said that’s the best we can do... was pretty struck that my favorite smoke shop would pull something off like that. “Uncertain times” or whatever.

My husband and I have been patronizing Desert Winds since they opened in their current location. I use to think any head shop would do, however after a few visits to DWSS my husband and I now give them ALL our business. The store is clean, well organized and aesthetically pleasing. There is nothing low class about this place. The employees are long-timers that actually get to know their customers preferences and make us feel welcome.Product selection is great - they have everything you need! I am a regular patron for their Shish, glass, and vape supplies but I have also bought bigger ticket items there as well. Best Quality eliquid selection around! Their product knowledge is also impressive and they manage to consistently answer questions (even the stupid questions) with patience and clarity.The rewards program they have is easy and actually makes sense. Rewards are acheivable and meaningful and that shows me they really do want their customers to feel appreciated.Always. Always. Look forward to stopping in.

Awesomeness. These guys are incredible. I was involved inna really bad accident back in 2016. I suffered Traumatic brain injury and loss the majority use of my hands. So holding anything small or tedious is a real challenge. The staff took the time to find the exact vape to fit my needs. Literally spent a half hour with me. I spent $20 bucks less than I had planned. I will definitely be back.

Bought a $60 product that stopprd working after 3 weeks.They would NOT return the product. So they were ok with me taking a loss like that. I assure you i will not be back.And with the ONSLAUGHT of vape shops opening up around town...i wish you luch.My memory serves me well, the smoke shop was Desert winds smoke shop.A few Of you tried to fix it then gave me a form to a company whom I never got a response back from.So again, im still out $60+doller.A to my knowledge I spoke to the owner of the establishment which told me the form is all he could do.

Well today totally different story different guy and couldn’t be less interested in his job or customers I ended up cutting my visit short and only buying the small coil I needed and went to another vape shop to get the juice. I bought a small piece to add on to something I already had, when i got it, i was told if it was the wrong size, that i could bring it back in and change it out for what I needed.Of course it was the wrong size (on my part)I brought it back and picked out a piece that was clearly more elaborate and probably more expensive. He handed me the new piece and said thank you ! I was pretty astonished to not have to pay extra!Thanks again desert winds! Wasnt my first time and wont be my last.

I travel the East Coast for work and visit dozens of other smoke shops regularly. Desert Winds is hands down my favorite. The boys always treat me better than any other shop in the country and are very accommodating. If you live within a couple hours of Sarasota/Bradenton its worth the drive!

They do not offer very good business hours to the client base that they ought to really be want! FREQUENT, REPEAT CUSTOMERS !! From 8pm to midnight the people that are closest to the shop are finally able to relax a little, prepare for the next day and wind down. I went to the shop to buy a vape and needed supplies due to health reasons. I MUST stop smoking immediately after 36 years of heavy tobacco use and the doctor said if we had to start at vaping, so be it! Nevermind the rest of that story, the point is that they lost a damn good sale tonight as well as a frequent, repeat customer. Maybe they dont realize just how great their opportunity is where they are located. I heavily researched the issue and, although 8pm seems popular for closing time at a smoke shop, Bradenton need one badly that offers their merchandise during the extended hours! Theres very little competition (unless they have a poor selection of overpriced items; they have signage that totally blocks visibility of the inside, so I cant say for sure). Id really check out the points Ive made if I were in the owners shoes!! (Sorry so long winded!! I guess its obvious that this is the work of a damned opinionated, yakkin woman. Thank ya, big time, if you have read all this 😕! )

You cant beat this place as I had mentioned before, I called the shop very upset about my dog, he had lost his back legs , two bad disks, and no way to afford the surgery, they recommended the Green Gorrilla CBD oil for pets the best full spectrum cbd pet oil on the market if you do the research at a price more than fair, I know you hear the stories, I am here to tell you his back legs where paralized and would fold under As her dragged himself with his front legs, and two weeks later I have done nothing but give him the CBD oil you folks recommended and he walks,its not the best but it gets better every day, a few more steps every day, fellas a pet of my family 15 yrs, I dont know how to thank you, God bless!!!!😀😀😀!!!!

The guys who run the store are very knowledgeable of their products and carry an wide range of tanks and coils. Each fluid they sell was selected by the stores staff smoking the flavor for awhile first to make sure its going to be a customer favorite. By trying each flavor the staff is great at making suggestions and describing the taste. I switched from vape lizards to desert winds and will not go back. Desert winds has a rewards points program, monthly raffles and great prices. Besides being a great e cigg store desert winds is a full smoke shop.

Best danged CBD Selection I ever seen. Right now I am loving MyRemese CBD stuff they let me sample. Its a difference in quality i can jusr tell. Ask for Joe and get hooked up

Sold me a piece that had a slow leak the one star isnt customer service if I could give them customer service review its five stars how ever I had a really cool piece it slow leaked they replaced it how ever the other piece was way smaller and didnt look nearly as cool also really hard to get drag off of and it was super exspensive
