Rain Wellness Spa

I have been coming to Rain for several years and have used many of their services. The atmosphere is so welcoming and so is the staff. At first, it was just for massages and the salt cave which was so calming and soothing. Then I had my first facial with Heidi and I was blown away! I now, for the past year, schedule a facial with Heidi every month. My skin has never looked better and I get compliments from my friends, some even asking if I had work done. I highly recommend Rain for any of their services and especially Heidi for helping me look 10 years younger!

This was my first time, at rain. I get massages once or twice a month, and I love to try new places.I’m so beyond disappointed. First it is a little expensive, paying the extra money I really thought I was gonna be taken care off, and walk out relaxed. This was not the case. This was by far the worst I’ve ever gotten. I paid extra money for someone to rub me with scented oil. I was never asked how I wanted the massage, soft, medium or hard. Not a single muscle was massages. She put her elbow in one of my shoulder blades for maybe 20 seconds and that is generous. My spouse gives me better massages and she has no idea what she is doing. Total waste of money. More stress from when I walked in, I don’t even know how that’s possible. I’m shocked, and honestly so disappointed.

I had a Montowese Rain massage with Susan as a little spiritual gift to myself before a big vacation. Susan was very knowledgeable about the practice and you can tell enjoys what she does. She was welcoming and thorough. I appreciate that she took the time in the beginning to get an overview of my needs/concerns and made me feel really comfortable. Overall, the massage was extremely relaxing and that hour flew by faster than ever. The spa was very clean and is a welcoming atmosphere. I definitely plan to return!

I went to this location on July 25th as a walk in, because that’s what they advertised. I told the lady at the front desk i wanted to do a couples deep tissue massage. She replied that they were completely booked for the day. I left but something told me to check the website. Guess what they had 3 available slots open. I think its because my friend and i are minorities they didn’t want to deal with us. Very unfortunate, if you’re black or hispanic, go to Branford resort and spa you won’t be disappointed.

I have been coming to this spa for many years and everyone has been great. Allyson Shields is hands down the absolute BEST! I have had so many massages over the years but I will be permanently requesting her. I had a 90 min deep tissue massage. It was the perfect combination of therapeutic needed body work and total relaxation. No pain no stress. She focused on what I actually came for and addressed my needs. Her technique was unlike anyone else’s. The entire experience was fantastic!! Thank you x1,000!

I booked two separate massages on their website not knowing it would cause confusion. One was for a neck and shoulders and the other was a Swedish massage for my lower body. I didnt know it would be two separate therapist, the first one was great, she did an awesome. Then this woman named Kelly comes in to do the Swedish massage except shes confused even after I explained which I didnt find it difficult to understand. Her energy was very aggressive and it took me out of that zen feeling I got from the neck and shoulder massage. In the future Ill be sure to book for a 90min full massage with no interruptions and definitely not with Kelly who could use a bit of emotional intelligence and consideration. Not sure Ill be back anytime soon. 😌

I treated myself to the oxygen facial today. Xiomara was my esthetician and wow she really blew me away. She went above and beyond and seemed to really care about helping me get my skin to a healthier glow. I will request her every time! This spa is always amazing from the time you walk through the door to the end.

My go to for a well deserved treat. I am making my way through all of the facials offered and I have yet to be disappointed.Xiomara is an angel and my skin appreciates her.

Extremely kind staff! Checked out the salt cave and it was a very cool experience. Definitely will be coming back to check out the other services as well!

The glo 2 facial was the best facial I have ever had in my life and Im a senior.. iIt was so intense but relaxing. They massage, the glo 2 wand was excellent, the LED light made me feel the greatest ever!!!

I always get my summer spray tans here... highly recommend them...

This review is regarding the fact I took the day off from work to have relaxing message on my birthday and got a call about an hour before the massage saying the therapist simply “called out”. I get emergencies could happen but no real explanation was give nor did I feel they cared. I Was offered to use the salt cave? Not a comparable service whatsoever, I have one of these in my own apartment building, would have been less upset with at least 1/2 off a massage if not free if I rescheduled. Especially when the cancellation policy for patrons is 48 hours or 50% fee is charged. Was looking forward to it all week and it was really disappointing.

Cannot say enough about the A+ facial i had on Saturday by Xiomara. Absolutely perfect in every way!! She was attentive to my skin issues i was in no rushed and sooo relaxing!! I will definitely be back!!

The Salt Cave at Rain is very relaxing. If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend it.

This is the best spa to go to!! Not only because of the services they provide but because they treat you like family !!! I’ve gotten several services and each Time was great, I walk out feeling amazing. They are SO accommodating and try their very best to make the experience enjoyable for any & everyone. They go above and beyond to make sure their clients are happy and THAT is what makes a great spa. The staff is phenomenal & a great place to go to ❤️

This was my first time at Rain and I already regret not finding them sooner! I got a Swedish full body massage and I swear I have never felt better. Susan was wonderful and very warm and professional, she made me feel super comfortable with the process and comfortable throughout. She spent an appropriate amount of time on each area and paid extra attention to my lower back, which is a problem area. The place itself is beautiful and the rooms are dimly lit with soft music/sounds which adds to the relaxation! Their prices cannot be beat and the quality of the work reflects that. Definitely will be going back and am so happy I discovered this place!

Karen is the absolute best! I have been seeing her often the last two years and have never found a massage therapist any better. HIGHLY recommend seeing her.

Rain wellness spa feels like a vacation. Every corner is calming and the staff is kind and helpful. I use the salt cave which is amazing as well as massages and facials. Book already!

Courteous, cheerful staff, prompt professional service. Place is always busy- and getting busier by the day. Feels crowded and a little congested in main lobby and in the hall connecting the bathroom + relaxation room. However, Once in the service room- things are very serene. Price is a little high for me to go more than 2x a year for a facial. My Only somewhat negative criticism -Only 1bathroom which doubles as a changing room-Ive been coming to Rain for a decade . the facial and massage services are the best . pedicures are so so.never tried manicure or salt cave.

Went to Rain with my mom, mother in law and sister for pedicures which were a Mothers Day gift from my husband to all of us. From the moment we arrived the staff was welcoming, accommodating and very friendly. We had a wonderful overall experience and the pedicures were lovely. I havent had any other services there yet but will definitely be booking things in the future. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed my time here. The whole staff was very kind. Started in the salt cave which was very relaxing, then a pregnancy massage. They have a pillow with the stomach part cut out so you can lay on your stomach comfortably , and the massage therapist was great. Very professional, probably the best massage Ive ever had. Look forward to going back and trying some of the other services they offer.

Omg, I booked a Rain signature facial with Yana for my 40th birthday and it was AMAZING! She took her time, and the ambiance of the room was perfect! Very relaxing, and the pricing is so so reasonable! Cant wait to go back!

Came to the spa to try out the salt cave. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The spa has a very relaxing atmosphere. The room where they have you wait is a meditation room and is nicely decorated and very calming. Salt cave floor is all salt so now I understand why they want you to wear white socks. I would of gotten more services but they were booked solid a month in advance. I will go back to try some more things here.

I will not be going back to Rain! I scheduled a spray tan appointment for 5:15 pm and was left in the wellness room for 45 minutes before anyone came to tell me that they were running behind. After the employee had left the wellness area I was thing kept waiting for another 20 minutes! I should have left. The employee who had done the spray tan was very nice. After she was done I had went back down to reception to pay and was asked if I was going to leave gratuity on the card or would I like to leave money in an envelope. In my opinion this was horrible customer service! You do not ask for a tip and how did the lady at reception know that I didnt tip the lady before she had left!.I was also told that the tan would last for a week and it only lasted 2 days! I called to see if I could get any kind of refund but was denied! This place is horrible and I will NEVER be going back.

Rain is a very intimate spa and I always leave feeling totally relaxed - and isnt that how it should be when you have visited a spa?! I have been there for facials, massages, and pedicures. I love having a pedicure here because there are just 2 chairs, not a whole row of chairs like at nail salons, so it does not have that production line feeling. The staff are always very courteous and friendly and good at what they do. Highly recommended.

Extremely disappointed, after reading so many good reviews I was disappointed with my first visit.I called to make an appointment for a spray tan appointment, and was told since I was in a wedding Saturday to come in Thursday. When I went there for the appointment the girl doing my spray tan recommended the fast developing one and told me not to shower for 4 hours. I followed directions, waited the 4 hours and showered. I woke up the next morning, extremely orange and streaky. When I called Rain back to ask for advice that morning the girl just told me there was no way I could be orange since their spray tan is mostly purple and that there was a miscommunication and I should have showered an hour after the tan. Nothing was offered to me for advice, nor did they try and make things right and help fix it.Never again. I would not recommend them.

Relaxing as to be expected, a small feel if that’s what you find most relaxing. Accommodating to massage preferences and offers options that suit all styles. Fits the need you have, if you live in Branford, it’s worth the try.

I have been going to Rain for almost 6 years now (since they opened) and have never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are getting the best experience possible. I highly recommend spending the day and getting the Dew Drop package. It is a great pick me up with a nice healthy salad lunch from Dolce Deli. Youll love it!

Rain Wellness Spa is on the cutting edge! For those suffering with any breathing issues, I highly recommend trying the Salt Cave treatment. In just a few sessions I have noticed a remarkable difference. The entire staff is highly accommodating and it is easy to schedule.

Great service. Very attentive staff over all. Great massage staff. Amazing facial services. Put me to sleep. I woke up so refreshed. And my pores of my skin looked so much tighter.

I have nothing but the best to say about Kim and her work/professionalism at Rain Spa. I came in with a QL and hip issue, something Ive been battling for almost a year now. I decided to try a sports massage and made my appointment. I can honestly say that I see a major difference in pain, mobility, and flexibility in less than a month with Kim. She works with a combination of therapies and styles, along with a friendly and professional demeanor that shows her dedication to her craft. I am 1000% serious, if you are an athlete, or a cross fitter, or just someone with some chronic back pain, give Kim a chance to work her magic. You will not be disappointed!

I visited the salt cave with my mother and sister and it was so serene! The staff was kind and put us at ease as this was our first experience in a salt cave. I definitely will be coming back. Highly recommend 👌

Salt cave did not meet my expectations unfortunately. I never tasted salt on my lips and was surprised to see that it was a salt room not a salt cave. Wasn’t happy and won’t go back. I have been to 6 salt caves and never was disappointed until now. Sorry but don’t waste your time or money.

Alla & Evelyn (along with all of the other massage therapists) provide top notch massages. They go above & beyond for me every time I go there! Thank you for being so fantastic...Really looking forward to my next massage!

Evelyn is quite the healer. She gives more than I ever expect. Regan is also my favorite when I dont need specialized care. Everyone I have worked with here is great.

Got a gift certificate for a mother daughter massage and the woman I spoke with was so kind and was able to answer all questions I had! Place was very clean and staff of course was courteous! We can’t wait to come in for our massages!!

Dont waste your money. Went to salt cave its just a dumb room not a cave. Couldnt even taste salt. Was supposed to be 45 min they shut it off in 36 and were very snoty. Yuk i wont be back not worth the money at all!!

I just had the most amazing facial with Alissa Bartozzi, the spa is beautiful, the facial was incredible and I feel wonderful! Definitely recommend facials with Alissa!

I live the Salt Cave at Rain Spa...ive been twice and im going again soon...if you want a place to retreat from the world and step into pure calm the salt cave is the place...if your sinuses are clogged from the unbelievable amount of pollen...this is the place...the entire room is salt...the walls ...the floor...the air...lay back in the beautiful zero gravity chairs...look at the gorgeous moon in the ceiling and let the musoc carry you to healing.

Excellent service. Very peaceful environment. Rain is my go-to option for recharging!

Rain is a wonderful place, you get what you pay for, people are wonderful, place is very comfortable, very inviting, vacation feel, 100 % beautiful , Love Love Nyleen , she is so sweet, great personality, she will not disappoint, always on her A game , always smiling, very happy girl, you will feel like you known her for years, you need to spoil yourself , you are worth it , we work hard, put yourself 1st, 1 time with Nyleen Rodriguez and you are sold.
