This is one of the best Massage Envy locations in east bay. the clinic is super clean, the staff are professional and helpful, and the massages are amazing! highly recommend my fave massage therapist, Melly, who is well-trained and really knows how to find those knots and relieve muscle tension!

Jovan is an excellent therapist. She’s personable and professional. She listens to your concerns and addresses them adequately. I had an exceptional experience with her. I would schedule with her again and recommend her to family and friends.

Neat, clean, inviting environment. Lovely staff. Joely is the best masseuse - her background as a physical therapist is especially appreciated as she knows just how to release all my tension spots! I book ahead with her 3 months in advance to ensure I am on her schedule.

Keara is my preferred massage therapist. Very attentive to the areas that need working on for each visit. I feel relaxed and comfortable knowing the pressure is just right and that she will work on any areas that I may not have realized needed attention and may be the source of tightness in my muscles. Highly recommend her for everyone.

Jessica is new to this Massage Envy but not to massage therapy. Professional, knowledgeable, talented. She even can incorporate some stretching into the routine.

This location has improved a lot. Last time I visited, they didnt even offer water.The welcoming team is very friendly.I would recommend therapist to check with clients during the treatment. I find that they dont ask anymore about pressure, temperature, anything.

Dont waste your time. They wasted 25 minutes of my time before saying the therapist is super late and they have to reschedule because she had a full schedule. No discounts offered for the next massage, no conversation with the manager, just bye see you next time... Obviously, completely unprofessional service and poor customer service. 🙄 0 starts if possible

I’ve been a member of massage Envy and Alameda since it opened. Never had a problem other than on Friday in Castro Valley. I am allergic to wool. I recommend that they asked the client if they’re allergic to wool before you get on the table. The pad underneath the sheet is made of wool and I had a severe reaction. My nose was congested and I was clogged for 24 hours. The itchiness started when I got home from my massage and it went on for almost 48 hours. I received a hour and a half massage and although it was a great massage my reaction to the wool Took away any enjoyment that I might’ve had from the Massage.

Joley is absolutely amazing. She not only brings an expertise to the sessions but she’s always friendly and open to changing pressure depending on what is going on with tension. I always look forward to sessions with her!

Natalia was an excellent esthetician who carefully explained each step of the chemical peel. She also more importantly made sure I was comfortable as she proceeded with the peel. So far, great results!

Great massage very relaxing - the room I was in was near a squeaky door so it sounded like someone was going in and out of the room but that wasnt the case so ignored it - but it was distracting- ebony was Great!

Keara is the best! Her healing hands work wonders to dig out the worst knots in my back, shoulders, and full body. I always walk away so relaxed, relieved, and rejuvenated. And nowadays I make it a point for a monthly 90 min session w/ her and love gifting sessions for my loved ones to also get a session w/ her. I highly recommend Keara!

Been going here for a few years and can honestly say you won’t be disappointed with Liz (Elizabeth G.), Stephanie, or Maleha. All three are very professional and amazing massage therapists. I always walk out of my session feeling relaxed and with less back/shoulder pain.

It was the worst massage I ever had. I told her I didnt like the pressure but she wasnt listening, she even burped while doing my massage. I was in so much pain after my massage I cried myself to sleep. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The moment you are on Jovan’s table, she will treat you like you are a part of her family. She genuinely cares on how you are, if you have any aches and pains And generally how your day is going. Once you are into the massage, you are relaxed and receiving the Best Care Ever and she concentrates on the most stressed parts of your body…your lower back, tensed shoulders, your feet and hands. I recommend her to everyone and will never see anyone else!! My monthly membership is worth it, because of her caring hands and genuine kindness and personality.

Had the 90m facial with Natalia and she was amazing! She took the time to learn about my skin so she could give me recommendations. Super sweet and friendly, and I could tell she was very knowledgeable!

I kept telling her that she was hurting me, but she just kept going. I finally stopped early. Will never go to Massage Envy again!

I’ve seen Jovan regularly and she’s great!I like the pressure and knowledge when I need that extra work. We keep our talk to a minimum but it’s open if you have any questions or need more pressure.Definitely look for her when booking.

Xavier was great! He was very respectful, cautious to stay within the parameters of what my expectations were, and I cannot say anything negative at all. If I return to massage envy, which I hope I do, I will definitely meet with Xavier again.

Stephanie was great. She made sure the pressure wasnt too firm. And she explained why I was tender in certain areas.

Had an appointment was canceled by them but still charged me. Called and talked to them had no help from them what so ever but they didn’t have a problem keeping my money. (Update) Talk to Rachael today was very helpful in fixing the miscommunication, and was refunded my money. Appreciate the prompt response

Make sure you pick the right masseuse. This location did not do a great job of matching me with the right masseuse. When I picked light to medium, the masseuse only did light and felt like a back rub. When I gave feedback during the session, the masseuse ended the session. The receptionist said next time do a better job of telling us what you want. And then asked me if I wanted to leave a tip. Thanks for the great customer service! That ends my relationship with Massage Envy.

I left feeling better than I walked in. Im happy with my mobility and the great advice to keep me mobile.

Been a member for years and had Anda doing my massage. But lately she’s been very arrogant. First she wouldn’t do anymore 90 min massages for me. When I asked her if she could give me more pressure on my shoulders, she said “No! I can’t do that. I’m old. I did 5 massages today. It’s too much for me! You can find someone else.” Wow! 😤 I’m in the servicing business and have never even dreamed of talking to my customers in such a manner. I have decided to just cancel all my appointments and membership and find a quality independent masseuse…

I got a 60-minute full body massage with Kimberley and she was amazing! Very friendly and a wonderful massage.She discussed my preferences with me beforehand and let me know what to expect throughout the appointment. She was also mindful of an injury I mentioned so that I did not experience any discomfort. I will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for deep tissue, Maleha’s your girl. Her strength and kinesiological knowledge make a killer combination. Promise you, she will find your knots!

I leave feeling wonderful and my body relaxed!Only down side I’ve noticed lately in Castro Valley location is the bathrooms are not functional (broken soap dispensers & paper towel dispensers) the roll that is out is soggy and has been contaminated by multiple use by many people. Floors are dirty even early mornings. That can use some attention.Luckily they have wonderful massage therapist to make up for that.

I’ve been going to Keara for about a year and had another amazing massage by Keara! She has a relaxing flow and focuses on what you ask her to. Plus pays attention to detail, for example she knows I like the table to be heated and it’s nice and warm when my massage begins. Just wish I had 30mins after the massage to relish in the moment to nap.

Angelica was fantastic, her skills were above and beyond the best I have experienced at Massage Envy. Her technique is very effective. She provided very valuable information in regards to Massage Therapy that I had not been exposed to before. I would like to schedule her whenever she has availability.

Even though Ive been coming to ME for a few years,, this was my first time with Risa. I found her to be straight forward, warm and positive. She kept a clear line of communication going during the session, which I appreciated. All in all, great massage and a very nice, relaxing experience. I may have to come more than once a month!Now, after several sessions with Risa, I have to say she is one if the best, if not THE best technicans Ive worked with. Yesterday I went in for a massage with Jovan. I normally schedule a 90 minute massage but only a 60 minute was available. Instead of getting a full body massage like I normally get she spent that time concentrating on my problem area. I really enjoyed it and feel much better. I would and have recommended Jovan to others.

I had my first massage (ever in life) at Massage Envy Castro Valley yesterday and it was amazing. My massage therapist was named Angelica and she was phenomenal. Patient, kind and gave me a stellar massage. I enjoyed it so much, I signed up for a membership after and booked my fiancé one for the following day. Highly recommend!

I went in for a facial with my sister, the aesthetian was very nice. When I told her I used trentinoin, she would not preform any service on me. I understand its protocol But I wish I had known, what a waste of time!

The receptionist was nice. The massage overall was a 3.5 star. She didnt focus on the area I wanted and focus on a area am the most sensitive due to that Ive been in pain and cry if someone touches me. I hope it goes away. I ask for a extra service when I arrived but didnt receive it. When I informed the receptionist she just said aww too bad and that was it. Due to that I wasnt able to use my card to tip the massage therapist bc I forgot to bring cash and wanted the small extra service (foot exfoliate) so I can tip and pay with card.

She expertly worked the tension out of my body that had been really hurting due to stress and fibromyalgia. I have also had great past experiences with her and also Keara. I had a massage from Risa yesterday.It was one of the best sessions Ive ever had. She was so professional and warm, and provided the right therapy for exactly what I needed. I was in a lot of discomfort when I came in, last night I had my first good nights sleep in weeks and I feel great today.

I had a 90 minute massage with Anda. She gives a great deep-tissue massage and checks in to ensure that pressure is comfortable. Anda got the knots out of my neck and shoulders and provided me with some much needed relief! I feel like I got my moneys worth. The only drawback was that the massage room was a bit too chilly for my liking. Otherwise, an excellent experience! Thank you, Anda!

Dont know if it still a COVID issue or not. My favorite masseuse left (3 in a matter of a few months) next great deep tissue masseuse had to be out a week and they had no options for me. It has been so hard to get appointments in if you dont pre schedule out and even then, preschesuling is still almost two months out in my experience. Im considering canceling my membership as I have had to book with therapists else where now frequently.

Had a massage with Xavier. He was amazing!! Listened to my needs and really worked on focal areas. He even gave me suggestions for after care and showed me some quick stretches I can do to help out. Will definitely be booking with him again.

My expectations were met and she really helped with my critical points. Including sciatica nerves. the pain in my arm was addressed with a great massage. The attention given was great and punctual and the personale are very attentive.

My only complaint is that the session was not a full 90 minutes. This was a Mother’s Day gift for me and I arrived before my scheduled time of 1:30 PM. I was not in the massage room until after that and the massage started at around 1:40 PM. I looked at the time when my massage was concluded at it was before 3:00 PM. If you are going to provide a service for an advertised amount of time, it should be honored.

Aryka is a very special massage therapist. I’ve been having massages for many years- from light Swedish to deep tissue.. for relaxation to and deal with tight and painful areas.Somehow she incorporates it all without going too deep or too light.She finds those tension areas as well as putting me in a deep state of relaxation.

Natalia is an expert! I always have noticeable results, I’m so thankful for her attention and friendliness.

I’ve been going to Massage Envy for a while now and have found Joley to be one of their best therapist. She’s very professional and knowledgeable as well as excellent at her job. In short you’d be doing yourself a huge favor by booking an appointment with her.

This place harrasses me everytime I come here. Not ever stepping foot in this facility again. Its against the law and my constitutional rights to ask about personal medical issues. The pandemic is over. I have been to massage envys across the country and not been made to wear a mask during my massage. Get real! I didnt do it in your facility either. Vaccine passports are not a thing and I am not required to tell you or show you any of my personal records. You are NOT a medical facility, you only get to know what I want to share with you and nothing more!! The CA dept of health released a statement saying masks, C testing, and distancing is no longer required in public places or work environments and that includes healthcare. Please get your policies up to date and Fire that supervisor. She is making people very uncomfortable and singling out people for their personal choices which is wrong! I am a travel nurse, the F pandemic is over!!!!

Keara is the best! She is so attentive and talented. Every time I get a massage from her I walk out thinking “dang she’s good!” I’ve found my go to massage therapist for sure.

Anda is incredible. She definitely helps my lower back pain! My only frustration is getting appointments with her as she is in such great demand. I certainly understand why!

Massage was good but I was abandoned at the end. It’s not that difficult to meet your customer with a complimentary cup of water. It felt like it ended too abruptly.

Risa have me the best massage Ive ever had for my chronic pain. She was warm, attentive, and friendly. Definitely be booking with her in the future.

Keara and Xavier are the only reason I give 5 stars to this place. They both have magic hands, Keara is sweet and got the right firmness and knows exactly where and how to massage. I just can’t get enough from her.

I do not reccomend the membership deal at all especially if you are a busy person yourself. They are never available the week of yet send out last minute daily notifications. If you do not use any accumalative credits by the end of your contact they only give you 60 days to use them if you dont renew. Its robbery and a dirty way to keep you giving them money. If you paid for the services you should be able to use them after with no limitation as to how soon you use them because they are already paid for. They also scalp off 10 min of your massage time for consultation purposes. So you really get 50 min and 80 min massages instead of the promoted 60 min and 90 min massage.I highly regret doing business with them. 😔

My facial was great experience, including a mini-massage through my shoulders, arms, and fingers. My actual 60-minute massage was nothing spectacular, and included my massage therapist interrupting the session for a quick bathroom break (that was a first for me). So, mixed results on one experience with two services.

I appreciate the wonderful, professional care I receive at ME. I get massages and facials. They speak to me along the way to be sure my specific issues are being met.

I make it a point to say :Im not sure about how this process goes, Ive NEVER been to a spa before, but Id like to get my daughter possibly a massage and facial or some sort of package deal for her birthday?.The response I get: Yeah, we have facials and massages. You can purchase a gift card and they can use it for the massage and facial..I ask: You all have other services on your site, what are those? How do people combine those with the facial and massage? What do people usually get? What are some combos people get?.An awkward silence and then she says: Yes we offer other services, it depends on what people want? They just purchase each service they want separately..Honestly, after that response I had to sit in silence and get off the phone. I made it a point to say that Im not knowledgeable about this and needed some guidance about WHAT to get. Im not even knowledgeable enough to formulate questions or ponder what I should get?Im not sure the clientele they want to attract (experienced spa goers), if their business is booming and they dont NEED to SELL their services, or they just got it like that (kudos if so). However, there was a potential customer and $300-500 I was WILLING to spend with them to treat my daughter?On to the next...

I started getting facials by Natalia a few months ago and I would not see anyone else anymore, she listens to my requests for my skin and gives great recommendations on what to do and use to to improve my daily skin routine.

I never had a facial before. Omg, it was sooooo amazing that I bought a membership. My skin feels and looks amazing, cant wait for my next service.

I visit them 2 weeks ago. My missus was AMAZING. I got a very good and relaxing 💆 massage. The place was clean and inviting...I was greeted with a glass of ice water and the lights and music was so soothing...transfer me to a relaxing set of mind. I recommend this place and I would certainly be coming back.

With all thats been going on due to covid and the stress of working in Healthcare, I have been coming to see Noah everyother week for a massage. Noah is absolutely wonderful, he takes his time, focuses on my requests and applies the right amount of pressure I need. I always leave happy, refreshed and wishing my next visit would come sooner.Thanks Noah, you the best!

Massages are the best. I have a membership since I wanted to make this a recurring and slightly more cost effective thing.Staff are very professional and kind. They also offer a number of services like facials, hot stone massage, stretch session, and of course 60 and 90 minute massages. You can also add some things to a massage like rapid tension relief (a massage gun which is great for deep knots), aroma therapy, and some others.For COVID protocols they ask you to wait outside until they text they are ready to recieve you, everyone wears masks, they take your temperature, and they do extra sanitizing between sessions. I feel pretty comfortable being there. At first It seems strange to wear a mask while getting a massage, but after a couple minutes its not a big deal, especially when you are face down with your eyes closed you wouldnt really know anyway.

This is my first time here and I had an hour massage with Jollie. The process is they asked you the area on your body that needs attention. This gets put in the tablet which your masseuse has access to. Once your masseuse take you to your room, your masseuse then recall in her/his tablet what was initially input earlier the areas you want his/her to work on. In the tablet questionnaire they will asked you the area you dont want your masseuse to touch you such as stomach.. Jollie has a great background to be a masseuse. She understands how the body works because of her extensive background being in the physical therapy field for 20+ yrs. She also had masters in Physical Therapy. She has proper pressure and she knows where to massage the pain and aches. She is professional and courteous. She does babble though so I didnt get to enjoy much the zen part of my massage but thats ok because I do feel good leaving the place because she knows how to work my tired muscles specially me being a new mom.

Joele was my masseuse and she was excellent. She was able to rub out a lot kinks in my body that I didnt even know existed! I will definitely be back!

Massage was good, but took 10 minutes to get into room and then ended early. So only got maybe 40+ min massage not a full hour!

Mahala was great. She listened to my request/needs and addressed them. Excellent service.

I have been seeing Liz G for approximately a year and have been very happy. She uses a good amount of pressure during the massages and is very attentive to medical history.

NEVER GET A MEMBERSHIP!!!! They make it too difficult to opt out. This 1 star rating has nothing to do with the employees at this location, but rather the company as a whole is very shady. Make it easier to quit your membership!!!!!

Called in today. Spoke with a rep , I was mid way in my conversation, she asked to put me on hold, then a new rep came on. I asked the her where the last person went and she said to help another customer. Lol what? You cut me off because you didn’t want to take care of me? Lousy service glad I screened the place before walking in

My have had a horrible experience with this location. They took 4 1/2 hours out my membership. They fail to provide messages, canceling at the last minute. I like to provide screen shots. Unprofessional, just one huge highway.robery

I go with the same person every time and hes great! I just dont like that they ask if Im going to give a tip, I shouldnt have to feel obligated. It should be up to me with out them asking. Thats my only reason for giving 4 stars and not 5...

Shen is great. He does deep tissue. And he adjusted the pressure and release all the tensions on my knots. Got so much relieved after that.

Very disappointed I made an appointment for my sister a surprise present for her birthday, I ask them don’t call her, call me for any changes, they reschedule her appointment for earlier time, called her but she didn’t return the call because she didn’t know, when we show up at her appointment they said “sorry you lost your appointment “ I ll try to cancel my subscription, I don’t trust this company for futures appointment.

Just ok for a facial. If you are looking for extractions and a true facial not really the place to go. They dont allow any use of tools or extractors so all is done by hand. Overall the facial was basic and estitician overly chatty interrupting the relaxing experience.
