You try to give a small business patronage and get punished for it. I have no problem paying for parking. This boot place charged me twice and I didn’t have that much cause I used it all “supporting small businesses” and got penalized over $305 for it. Don’t go here. It was never this shitty until this group took over.

Someone mentioned that “this place takes the cake”. Saturday at midnight empty and bartender downstairs was rude. I asked for some water in the bar and they are not allowed by management to give up tap water. Even if you pay for your drinks. The exact response was “go to the fountain to get it”

As a LGBTQIA person of color, where I feel comfortable is of the ultimate blessing. I have a service animal due to health issues. Not only were we invited in and given the best service from Aurora at the door, the bartenders Margie gender queer beautiful Margie are amazing. Beats and ambiance by DJ Jules Fishbowl Sunday is where its at!

The club is great! I was worried it would be too small but I thought it was a great size and vibe. The show was awesome and we had a great time. Only thing negative I can say is maybe the songs for dancing couldve been a bit better (a lot of older stuff was being played) but still great

The redux of the old Shooters now the Birdcage is a much needed freshness to the LGBTQ Community in Cincinnati. Everyplace has its own unique character and charm and The Birdcage has plenty.Marcus the bartender is a great choice for this fresh new establishment.

Awesome bar with a great atmosphere! Visiting from NJ for work and this bar ranks up there with bars you would find in NYC or Philly! Stephanie at the front door is AMAZING! So warm and welcoming to my husband and myself. I highly recommend!

All right guys, Im a straight white male and I came with my wife and my two sisters. From the get-go, I was harassed and bullied by all of the drag queens. And I loved every second of it. If youre open minded, youll like this place.

STOP. EXPLORING. QUEER. PEOPLE. We watched the bar tender water down drinks multiple times. Great vibes, but they literally add water to the drinks. Its not just a rumor.

Different vibe every night, good service, dark lighting, clean bathroom, great music, cute smoking patio.

Cute new spot, but the layout is hella awkward for drag shows. There’s like room for 25 people close to the stage and the queens don’t even get out to the rest of the bar crowd. Really odd. I wanted to tip but they didn’t even come out around the bar. Also, please consider rethinking the plexi-glass and tv blocking the view of the stage. That was a choice

I love the staff of birdcage, Im not sold on the new location, not because of how its looks, buts its just so far from everything else. My real problem is with the DJ on 9.2 he played the same club back beat for every song with no variation. It was terrible to dance to and enjoy. If this is the same next time Im here I probably wont be back.

The DJs are a bit basic & could play more current of music. Staff is friendly enough.Shouldn’t be afraid to play more current hip hop/R&B and EDM music.

My hubby and I came for weekend visit and bartender Brice was great and so was Steve. We only stayed for one drink, because when heard things from manager talking with his other staff about money issues and talking down about the place your in charge of and then 3 other staff come into service bar whom look like have just walked in from street with no way knowing they work there and had some hangover look and smoking pot and completely ignore everyone at the bar that have paying customers that usually tip very well and 15 dancing on dance floor asking very nicely for music be turned up and nothing happened,that was so unprofessional. Plus seeing other customers heading out door mad, that was hint for us leave. I am in customer service as well for my job for at least 20 years and Im manager of business. Lucky that I was not secret customer or worker for business of newspaper in Cincinnati, so I know how to be. The birdcage is to small for that kind of drag shows as well, not enough sitting area either. Heard great things about this place from city I live in ,but very disappointed and it was my birthday that day as well. We shall not be returning unless things get better. Lucky I dont call John whom Im friends with ,he helps bars get back on track.Thank you Steve and Brice for your great service. Steve you should be more like manager of birdcage you would get that place in better shape and more happier customers we noticed your hard working and customer service skills was great!

If you are looking for a clean well ventilated small dance club for both straight and gay people. This is it. Great music, fun bartenders and even though the place isn’t huge. It’s never gross or overcrowded. This is not where I would end my night as the main event but I would certainly recommend starting here or stopping by.

Love the atmosphere and entertainment. All the performers killed it! Also, drink prices were so reasonable!! And delicious! 😘

Love this place! So fun and safe. Im not a huge fan of clubs, but I always have a blast at Birdcage and feel very safe here.

Workers was racist, homophobic, like as soon as we walk in, since we are black we get kicked out, like we were some criminals , because management said so, when all we were doing is figured out if we wanted to pay since it was gonna be closing time in a litle bit. Not recommended if you are black, They will treat you like trash.

Would be fine if it wasn’t a $10 cover. Mostly empty. Attractive space with ok dancing. Drinks are a little pricey.

Not a huge club, but enough space to dance and get a fairly-priced drink with a reasonable wait. Good music with the ability to request songs on their website for free (option to tip). Nice outside area to cool off and chat.

Well a friend and I wanted to check out the new location but when we got in they were asking for $10 cover charge I thought cover charge stopped back in the 90s so unfortunately my buddy and I felt never got to experience the new club how sad but we went over to Bloom and had a fantastic time and WOW some fabulous drag shows and male strippers then went to old faithful Main Event.

The space is incredibly small. There’s nowhere to sit down when you have a drink. The general manager there is extremely rude and speaks to paying customers with the upmost disrespect. Grabbed my friend as he was leaving (without consent; we stood up for him). The place has a terrible stench to it. They don’t always card people. It was interesting that I went to Main Event down the street, played pool, and interacted with a drag show where they give out money.

Great venue that makes use of its small space with a big attitude! Dancing on weekends is a blast, though I also enjoy going on Thursdays for a more relaxed atmosphere and watching RuPaul with the enthusiastic people at the bar :)I also appreciated that while the bartender didnt know how to make the drink I mentioned, he was very generous and offered to follow a recipe that I pulled up! I wouldve been fine if hed just asked me to pick something else, but it was nice to see him willing to make something new. Good service always gets me to come back more than anything else 😊Definitely grateful that another good LGBT nightlife location has opened up in Cincinnati! 🌈

Good music and friendly staff but a 16oz cup with exactly 1oz of liquor is just wrong on so many levels. Theres enough wear and tear on this place to know they know better. Only stayed for one and probably wont be coming back with my friends next time were in town. Deff felt like they were trying to rip us off and a few people on the patio had flasks and said its bc they water down the liquor. Cute business model Birdcage. smdh

Came here with my girlfriend and best friend and loved it! The atmosphere was great as well and so was the entertainment. Drinks are a little pricy but overall we loved and will be returning!

Went here for my first time and it was a blast!! Very open plenty of places to sit and of course amazing drag shows.

Ive been here a few times over the last few months and each visit has really been enjoyable! They have attentive bartenders and I like that one of them even remember me from a previous visit and of course I feel bad cause I cannot remember his name. The music on a dance night is also really well done! I will update this review to give the bartender a just mention.

This place has a fun atmosphere, great drinks, and helpful bartenders. I had a lot of fun here and plan on returning many times. It can definitely get cramped, but if youre looking for a chill experience just go a little earlier in the evening before things really pick up.

Over charged $6 per round for drinks. When the bartender was asked about the price he simply said I dont make the prices asked for the manager. Angela was great and she fixed the situation with the response that we have only been open 2 weeks. Not a good excuse, get it together and do it right on day 1. Bottom line not really a gay bar bad service, wrong pricing. Finally, when we went to leave and walk out the door, we were stopped and said we had to exit through a different door. Bottom line and this is only my thought. This place will and should not last look at the past history of the main management who ran Adonis. He ran that place in the ground because he let the place be drug infested and let his personally drug buddy have a free pass. Bottom line I personally give a thumbs down for my personal experience.

What a welcome surprise and a enjoyable time was had at the makeover of shooters. my only missing star ghost if I could they did not redo the bathrooms. the music is great, the DJ is hot, the drinks are good, the bartending staff is fantastic, and I look forward to my next visit.

Well I was please with it until they moved location, its just still has the same vibe, other than two floors bars, I really wish they get more variety of styles of music give someone like me something alternative style , rock n roll punk, metal music lovers a chance because I literally go into the bar order my drink an then bring headphones to enjoy myself.

I had the opportunity to visit The Birdcage on two separate nights last week while in town for a conference. It was such a welcoming, friendly and fun place. Great people, great drinks and great music. I hope for another conference in Cincinnati so I can return!

Bad experience with bartenders. If you would be able to fix this, this place would be perfect. The bar is very crowd, so dont look to take advantage of your customers (as an almost dying Below zero used to do). Sorry guys but you definitely water down your liquors. My first glass of vodka was pure juice. i bought another one, and they put a lotttt of ice on purpose! and juice of course. I asked for a third one!! With no ice and they gave me less that an half glass of my drink... Really? You are going to lose customers in this way.Guys, if you want to avoid this situation, dont buy any liquors here, just stick to beer or cider, so that they can not take advantage of you.

Disappointing!! My partner and I waited at the bar next to another couple who was also waiting. At least three of the bartenders looked at us, knew we were there and knew we were waiting to order. Instead, they waited on three other people who just walked up to the bar and ordered without waiting at all. Either the bartenders were exhibiting preferential treatment for these people or they were not at all paying attention to who was there and waiting first. For a supposedly ‘upscale’ nightclub, I’d have to say these bartenders are subpar for the atmosphere especially if they don’t know who’s been standing there waiting the longest or choosing to wait on whomever they choose. Horrible business!! So, instead of waiting any longer than I already did, I left and I will NOT be back...

Wasnt bad. The queens were amazing. Bar was really tiny and squishy which wasnt fun. Bartenders were nice but security wasnt as friendly.

If you haven’t checked out the new space. Do it! It’s what we needed here in the city! Tucked away and plenty of room ! ComeOne come all

Literally the hottest spot in Downtown Cincinnati, when you go here youll think youre at a club in NYC or LA. Never a dull moment at this place.

Overall good atmosphere . Very crowded on Saturday nights. Margarita was THE WORST.

Way too crowded no room to move and the only seating was in the back and it was extremely hot over there

Prices too high if theyre out of what you drink too bad for you...and mostly str8 people...and they scan your id

This place is actually a great time, regardless of your sexual orientation.
