What a great find. This place has great food (good portion size), the band, Mojo Cats, were great, and the pitchers of margaritas served about 7 to 8 glasses. The service was wonderful.

I stopped here on a Friday evening. Everything was on point. The service was good, the drinks were good and the food was great. I would definitely come back. Oh yeah and the band was amazing!!!! Jameeze the band was great!

Absolutely authentic and delicious food. Ive been to many Mexican restaurants to sample tacos and this spot is hands down the best, this spot beats every taco place by a mile. Delicious, flavorful, spicy salsa, meat thats moist, tasteful and not drenched in oil. Fresh toppings and garnishes, and they arent stingy on the garnishes either. Fantastic elote as well, evenly seasoned on the entire cob, juicy and sweet corn. Absolutely delectable.Great service as well, knowable, kind, and hardworking servers and staff. Music is a bit loud, but its a Cantina and they offer seating away from the dance floor as well. Eating here was the highlight of my night. I will return.

Terrible service, had to flag down a worker every time we needed any thing. Severed us stale chips, street tacos were cold, empanadas were cold and flavorless, and gave us and the other couple the wrong bill three times and couldn’t figure out the bill after asking them to write down what we ordered. The manager came to us with another recite and asked us to circle what we order?! Tried to charge us $55 dollars for a $33 dollar meal! The best part is on their menu it says if you eat 25% of your meal there is no refund? Seriously a joke of a restaurant don’t waste your time or money defending recommend any where else!

I travel the country for work and eat out almost every day. This is by far one of my favorite places. Good food at crazy cheap prices and the drinks were made very well. The staff is amazing and are super friendly and easy to talk to.

The food was very good but my friend had a huge piece of plastic in her Barria taco and the owner said it was impossible and she put it in the taco. He was very rude and called us black women - you people.

This is a hidden gem in the Forest Park area of Cincinnati. Full bar making it a great place to come for after work drinks. Its clean, relaxed atmosphere with the decor and music. Service is great and so is the food. This is a must do on the to do list. You wont be disappointed.

I Made reservation 5 days in advance to see a band. Called the day of twice to confirm. Arrived on time and there was no parking and no seats at all. I was not greeted and finally after seeking out staff Iwas told by an employee That it was too bad all the seats were taken and she wasnt fighting with anyone today. If you cannot accommodate people with reservations you shouldnt advertise that you even offer them. We just left. Terrible.

Very good very authentic, flavorful , spicy everything I hoped it would be the birria tacos were probably the best I’ve had in the city. Drinks were excellent. Highly recommend. My new favorite place

Just moved here from the west coast and wasn’t able to find good Hispanic food until I ran inside this gem! Food is fresh, tasty and you can’t get enough of it! Customer service was amazing. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic food. Will definitely be back soon.

So delicious and great bang for your buck. Really nice local friendly feel. Great service! Delicious, authentic. My mom was able to practice her Spanish with the server🫶🏽 Salsa was very fresh and yummy. Fresh chips would really set this place off! I will definitely be back and bring my friends:)

Service on Mardi Gras evening was horrible. Took hour plus for my husbands burrito. Ordered it before the place filled up. Had to ask about it 5-6 times. Took half hour to get a beer and glass of wine. I won’t be back.

Tasty food and friendly service. The pupusa was piping hot with a crispy outside and perfectly tender center! Loved it!

Visited this place yesterday. It’s too small for a jazz venue. Parking is inadequate. There were 15-20 people standing. Service was lackluster. I was with a group of 5. I had arrived last and they had gotten their drinks and ordered food. I was there for 20 minutes when I finally stopped our server who had already passed me 10 times. I asked her if I could order a drink? She frowned at me and said can you give me a minute as if I was bothering her. I stand I given you 20 but go ahead. It took her another 15 minutes to circle back around. The group all agreed we’ll never come back again.2-2-23 I see that you updated your response to my review. Your original response and now this update just solidifies my decision of never returning. I did not expect a 2 minute turned around but the attitude and the 40 minute wait were/are abysmal. Your assertion that I believe manager was walking around that day is incorrect! Why would you compare yourself to something as antiquated as Juke Joints and I definitely did not expect you to be Ruth Chris. I also said they group as a whole agreed not to come back. This wasnt one persons unpleasant experience. We were a party of 5. Im sure if they took the time to write a review you would have received more 1s. Youre bother by my review and my 1 but had I not done this you would think that you are serving people just fine and therefore would not try to improve. Ill encourage my friends who have had not great experiences at your venue to share their stories. I know this is not a one off!

Second visit. We scoped this place out 2 weeks before a jazz group we wanted to hear was appearing. The first visit was OK, not stellar, but OK. The second visit was a big disappointment. We had 14 people in our party at 2 different tables. The lack of organization and poor service was evident immediately. The wait staff were lovely people, but they do not work as a team, and none appear to do things with any kind of planned service. Training needed. Company policies needed. Drinks were taking over 1/2 hour. Some finally got drinks along with a burrito, all at once, maybe 40 minutes after ordering. The bar staff obviously needs training. The food is overpriced and on both occasions mine was charred... as in burnt. I can imagine it getting away from the cook once, but not twice in a row. More training is obviously needed for kitchen staff. But the worst situation was that my friend, the one who organized this group meeting to listen to the live music, ordered a bottle of wine. He and his wife had partaken of one half the bottle when the barkeep came out and insisted he be paid for the bottle right away. My friend was really offended, but also upset because his food had never arrived. Due to this encounter, he decided he no longer wanted the food, and stood up to leave after he paid for the wine, AND even tipped the rude bartender $5, which he absolutely did not deserve. I was going to cancel my order as a show of support, but I decided to take it as carryout instead, since I felt sorry for the waitress. I paid my tab and tipped the waitress, but I explained to her what a bonehead mistake that it was to offend the customer as they did. She said it was not something she could do anything about, and I get that. But my friend will never go back and spend a lot of money or take a crowd there ever again. It was, as another in our group said, a slap in his face to not explain a policy, if there was one.... which there was not... and then infer that he might run off without paying for the bottle of wine. Perhaps that is the type of clientele who frequent The Jazz Spoon Cantina, but mybfriend is obviously a man who had come to spend time eating and enjoying the company and music, so they were quite rude to him and the rest of us. The party broke up. Wont go back. Wont recommend.Reply: I have worked in restaurants and have dealt with large parties. Ours was not very demanding, at all. The folks in our party arrived at different times and at least 3 separate orders were placed with 2 different waitresses as we were at different tables. The first group of four or five seemed to get their food a bit quicker, but 2 orders were wrong. Reorders do mess things up, for real.Until the wine fiasco, only one complained about the wait. She was at a table separate from the one where I sat. The rest of us were socializing and enjoying the music while awaiting our food. However, there is no excuse for the amount of time it takes to deliver a drink. 30 plus minutes? This happened on our first visit as well when there were only 3 of us. A restaurant should be serving as quickly as possible to encourage reorders in order to make money. A burrito should not take over 40 minutes for a 2 person check. Over 40 minutes for fajitas that cost 20 bucks, and then arrive burnt. I imagined that the kitchen must be understaffed, undersized or the grill is very small because only one item seemed to come out of the kitchen at a time. Another odd practice: silverware is not given until the food comes out, so no napkins available while eating salsa and chips. My first visit, the food was good, altho burnt. I am also a musician and understand the need to pay the entertainment. But the food needs to be timely and not burnt, and the customers should not be ill-treated. I am glad you reached out to my friend. He is an amazing person with a huge following and hundreds of local friends. He reviews his food and visits to restaurants DAILY as he eats out twice a day several times per week. I hope you did something to encourage him to come back.

Not the best that I’ve had but definitely worth the price & not too bad for something right in my neighborhood. Will probably eat here again. Staff was very friendly .

The band was AWESOME. We really enjoyed Satin Smooth. The food was TERRIBLE. Shrimp not devained and rubbery. Had to look for the waitress The service was TERRIBLE.Id return only for the entertainment.

Carne Asada Quesadilla was delicious! Service was good. Band was supposed to start at 6:30, but didnt fully start until 7:30ish. Interesting place. May try to go back for a different band....

Today I had to wait 45 mins with still no food. Clearly they can’t handle a crowd. The server to our order and never brought our drinks… this is after waiting 17mins. 20mins later she comes back to tell me everything I order they didn’t have. They need more experienced servers! This is a one and done for me!!!!8/23/23 UPDATEStopped in tonight because I wanted to give them another shot. So glad I did. Their staff seems more mature than when I was there in May. Music was amazing! Had me head bobbing while I was trying to eat my wings and corn! I’m so happy for the owners because I understand how hard it is to find committed staff in the restaurant industry. The only suggestion I would make is more seasoning on the wings. As they say… Second time around… is better than the best time. Wishing you guys nothing but success!

I wish I could give it 0 stars. Went in with 3 others and owner looked at us- gave us water and told us someone ( 1 out of two of the 2 severs) would take our order. The place was not that busy, and there were 2 people sitting on the patio. The band was eating and were playing 2 second beats. Our order was never taken and we decided to leave after waiting Over 10 minutes. Dont go there. Its over hyped on social media and its giving: small, unorganized, and lack of of care. Dont go there.

Food is amazing, service last night was not. You had to physically get up and approach the waiters who were in the back chit chatting it up with each other or wait for 10-15 minutes after trying to wave them over. Then wait another 10-20 minutes for your bill. I even saw a customer have to walk through the opening to the back to get their attention for something as their presence on the floor was almost nonexistent. I even saw people leave before paying after waiting for a long while for their bill. The waiters didnt even notice they left for a good 10 minutes. I only give this a 2 and not a 1 star because of the food. The food is the saving grace here and is what is making me willing to go back and give this place another shot and will rereview this place after I do.Edit: 4/18/23 almost a year has past since I last been here. My rating increased from a 2 to a 5 because they have really stepped up and have done an amazing job revitalizing this restaurant. The food was awesome and the guy who was helping us was awesome too! I look forward to coming back here.

I have been here several times, every time I try something different, and they never disappoint!

This is the worst food Ive ever had.The Mahi Mahi was so overcooked and so over salted that my throat closed up and I gagged on it.The server didnt bring me silverware, I had to flag down another server to get it.Only reason Im giving this a 2 and not a 1 start review is they did offer to make me something else (but no offer of refund when I clearly didnt eat 90% of it).

First visit was great! No issues but 2nd visit was horrible decided to visit for lunch, however waited over 40 mins for food, only to realize that the order was missing some ingredients. It was super empty that day so not sure why I waited so long. Employees were very nice, but not sure ill be back anytime soon.

The food wasnt bad. It wasnt best either. The service was terrible! It took almost an half an hour to get service and it was not packed. Then I had to chase down people to check us out. It was like they were trying to keep us trapped in there. When we finally got soneone to check us out, they couldnt print or text any recipes. I am never going back!

The bartender who made our drinks need to go back to class. I ordered a supposedly mixed drink and got rubbing alcohol with red dye. No thank you

Wow, I found a place that serve the tacos that have taken over the internet. Birria tacos a Mi Taco Loco is a must have!

New owners have ruined the recipes. Green sauce is watered down, no longer spicy. No longer serve chips/salsa / meal. Horrible service. (BTW, it was Sunday, not Taco Tuesday. Happened twice. Took 30 minutes to make 3 steak Tacos, and waiter tripped when serving and % of steal meat hit the floor. Not busy, 2 other customers. Mid afternoon) Ate here in March 2021 and was good, something changed.)Was going to try again with high hopes. Closed for dine-in, drive thru only.

Great music. Great place to gather family. My wife is Latina and I’m from California so the food didn’t measure up.

The food is amazing, their staff is very friendly and they make you feel welcome. At the moment theyre under construction and dont always have all the menu items in. What they do have available is always amazing! They only lost a star because they dont seem to always have all three menu items available all the time, once that changes, it shall go up to five!

First visit but Taco Loco didnt disappoint. Great chicken burrito and ice tea was lite. Just the way I like it. Good Mexican music playing too. Wish they had Chile rellenos, but Ill come back anyway.

Tried this place for the first time today through DoorDash and WOW! I read the reviews and the menu before hand, thought I’d give it a try. Prices are even GREAT! You get way more for what you paid and the food is just spectacular. I got nachos locos and a birria taco, both of which were very tasteful. Will definitely be ordering from this restaurant more frequently. Beyond satisfied!

Yesterday I went in for Taco Tuesday. As I was in the drive-thru , I saw a man in the kitchen stick his finger into the food and taste it. The same man had just walked in from outside. Against my better judgment, I went ahead and ate my steak tacos. Big mistake, most of the steak was fat and it instantly made me sick. Their food had been better in the past but after this experience, I will no longer eat there.

Absolutely love it here. My grandpa and I come every Tuesday and have dinner in our car(because of coronavirus). The food is literally the best authentic food. Best taco I have ever eaten . And Im completely in love with the pupusa.

We used to come on the weekends for Pozole. This was our first time back in a while. They have the best street tacos, and I tried the Chili Rellono Taco Loco. Which was well worth the premium price of $3.25 (Feb 2021). The guacamole 🥑 was excellent, and I have always loved their salsas. Ill try to make it back here and explore more of their menu. Now that they have online ordering and drive up window running it should be easier than ever.

Called and put in an order for six tacos. Says it will be ready in 10 mins. Get there in 15 mins and had to wait nearly an hour for our order, and it wasnt even a complete order! We were missing two tacos. Waited another 10 mins and all they could do to make up for everything was deliver the most apathetic sorry Ive probably ever heard in my life. No compensation whatsoever. Dont waste your time here.

Drink orders placed, and 15 minutes later still no drinks. There was only one other table, so they were not busy. To top it off, the heat was out and it was 14* outside.There were no apologies from staff, and zero feeling of importance as a customer.We left before our drinks were even served. I do not recommend.

The food is incredible, but my last three orders have been wrong. In my order today, they were out of one of the foods entirely, so all I got when I picked my order up was my kids meal and a side dish. I wish theyd have offered to make me something else. Now I dont have dinner.

Better call to make sure they are open. This occurred Wednesday 10/14/20 and according to their hours they open at 11am. Was there at 11:10am and werent open. Gave them the benefit of a doubt that they just needed extra time to prep some food. By 11:45 they were still not open, saw multiple customers come and go including myself. Sad to see this is the case especially during Cincinnati Taco Week.Edit: Sorry to hear about someone attempting to break into your business. Will note that some other customers standing outside with me attempted to call multiple times to check the situation and the employees inside did not pickup. Also I did check on your Facebook page to see if something changed like hours. Nothing posted on there at all. If you were opening late, be upfront and let people know what happened on there.

Stopped by this locations on the request of life long friends. The atmosphere was excellent outdoors. I will plan to revisit an again soon.

I moved here from the NYC area a few months ago and had been struggle to find hispanic food that was the same quality as east coast hispanic food! After months of searching we found Mi Taco Loco and were never going back! The portions are very big so im usually able to make 2 meals out of a visit! The guacamole and queso are always super fresh and I love the lime tortilla chips! Margaritas are great too and the horchata is the best horchata ive ever had! Hoping to slowly try everything on the menu and nothing has failed us yet. And the inside is very fun and cute, definitly check it out!

On September 9th, enjoyed YOLO band and Laviena Campbell they were great! Everyone appeared to be having a great time.

I saw the reviews and decided to try this, Best of.. location on one dollar Tuesdays.The tacos are half the size of a normal .taco.I had the asada (2) and chicken (2). The beef was not tenderized. The chicken bland. The search continues. I lived in Los Angeles for many years. This quality would be out of business compared to its competetion. Here, I would recommend Cozumel, although certain items there are pricey.Bon Appetit.

Horrible service! First time coming here for Cinco fr Mayo and received the poorest service ever. Staff was not knowledgeable and disorganized. We waited 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Don’t waste your time.

I came to eat here with my mom. Im always trying to give a new shot to places with mew management. Room to improve. Good servings and welcoming service. I hope they hire a couple of more people. Ill come back for tacos and burritos for sure.

Taco Loco is legit Mexican. The ingredients are fresh, the salsas are amazing, and its inexpensive too. If you like tacos, come here. Youll have a hard time convincing yourself to ever go to a Taco Bell again.

Anyone who thinks theyve had authentic Mexican food in the Cincinnati area has been poorly mistaken. Ive been a consistent customer of this place for nearly 3 years. They prepare some of the best tacos Ive had in my life. Their Horchata is amazing, and their Pozole can beat down any type of soup. Theyve truly earned my patronage with their amazing food, friendly workers, and fast service. They are and may forever be so far underrated by the public, its depressing. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking to enjoy REAL Mexican food.

I got the birria tacos and street corn and I was blown away at how tender the meat was and the amount of flavor wow! I cant wait to order again.

Love taco loco. My girlfriend and I make a point of going and grabbing takeout at least once a month. The tacos are priced well and delicious. Well worth a 20 minute drive.

Our first time here and we were impressed. Just good Tex Mex one step closer to Mexico than Texas. Pretty certain this location isnt party of a chain. I only get in this part of town once a year and already looking forward to next year.

Good food, and friendly staff. Food prep is a bit slow. On weekends at 9:30 pm the restaurant closes but reopens at 10 pm for karaoke. After 10 pm they only serve tacos.

I order the carne asada huaraches and my friend ordered the carne asada taco. Both werent overly great but they were good. The service was a little slow but the wait staff were really nice which made up for it! I would definitely come back again to try more dishes.

I visited Taco Laco on a Sunday, I went back Tuesday because of the service and food I received. It was fresh and the portion size was large. If you are looking for a Good Authentic restaurant I would recommend this place!!!

I ordered a pick up. On the phone I repeated to the lady I do not eat any meat or fish.. I just wanted nachos and cheese.. I picked up my order and brought it back to work to eat it and it had ground beef ALL OVER it.. I could not leave to go back.. I called to ask for a refund and that id bring the uneaten meal back later that day.. but they said all they could do was give me a coupon for my next meal..

The food here was authentic hispanic food, excellent, and very well proportioned at reasonable prices. The service was great as well. Dont let the outside appearance fool you because it is a very great Mexican restaurant.

Tacos, Tortas and Sopes are great here, authentic, full of flavor and very reasonably priced- however their overpriced dinner plates dont compare to most other local Mexican restaurants. Id suggest sticking to tacos and lower priced items on menu!

I used to come everyday but noticed the price changes as the employees do.. one day it’s 6 dollars for 2 tacos the next day it’s 8 dollars. It’s to a point where I only know the price depending upon who is at the window

Moved here from New Mexico and its pretty much impossible to find good Mexican food. El caporal, El rancho Nuevo, and chuys always get recommended and they are so bad. The carnitas taco locos from here are amazing. Their chorizo is also some of the best Ive had

Disgusting. Period. Worst Mexican food I have ever had. I should have gotten back in the car when I walked in and it smelled like urine. I ordered 2 carnitas and a steak taco loco and a side of beans. Couldnt finish any of it. Will never be back here.

With street tacos being all the rage at other Mexican places, this place does it better and cheaper.The building is a converted Burger King, and its not going to win any aesthetic awards.Since my child only eats quesadillas, the child sized quesadilla is perfect.

My coworkers and I love this place! We regularly carry-out there for lunch. The food is delicious, service is fast, prices are cheap, and the portions are pretty big. Definitely worth the trip!

Got home with multiple items missing. No tortillas for the fajitas, missing a taco, and requested no tomatoes on the taco salad (they were on there. When I called to let them know, I was told, “what do you want me to do about it?” Not exactly customer service. Brought the entire $40 meals back. They wanted to make it right by replacing what was missing, however the rest of the meal was cold by then. Refund it all please. Waste of an hour of my family’s dinner time and no one wants to bring cold food back to their family. Thumbs down for customer service and thumbs down for food preparation.

The owner and chef, Octavio, is a very pleasant and friendly person. Hes also a really excellent chef. My friends and I went there last Thursday evening and I tried their dish Camarones a la Plancha, which is a grilled shrimp dish. I dont think Ive ever had a shrimp dish as tasty as this! Grilled shrimp smothered in Octavios special homemade sauce (he wouldnt tell me the ingredients). His soup, Siete Mares, a seafood medley, is also excellent. So far, so good! Dont let the appearance fool you. The building used to be a Burger King, in days gone by. This is a hole-in-the-wall sort of place -the looks are deceiving.

The fish taco was light and flaky. They treated us like friends.

New owners Bistec (slow cooked steak) taste nowhere near as good as it use to. Also rice kind of salty. Refried beans are not as good either.

Customer service was terrible. Drive thru service was equally terrible. Had to call restaurant just to get them to open the drive-thru window even though they saw me at the window waiting. Staff had no knowledge of products sold at their restaurant. Staff tried to refund my order for less than what I paid. New staff is the worst they’ve ever had. Very unprofessional.

We go every Tuesday for dollar tacos and they are the best tacos in Cincinnati! And the cilantro salsa is amazing by the way.

Taco Tuesday..great prices. Music too loud and it was too dark to see what I was eating. The bathroom was very clean. I could smell unpleasant floor cleaner while eating.

This place has delicious verde and hot salsa, the best chicken burrito I have had in a very long time, and cheesy Mexican soap operas are always on tv. Pretty much perfect.
