This is a great place for a fun Friday night. The atmosphere is solid, music is good, and they have a nice big dance floor.

Love this place! First went there when I was in town to see Danny Frazier. This time I was in went and seen City Slickers

Came with friends for a night out. First time visiting. From what we understood it was their busiest night since the pandemic started. House was full. Masks were a thought of the past. Line dancing was entertaining and band played many country songs and was entertaining. We had 7 in our group. Of our orders one was not correct. He ordered a big fish sandwich and they brought him the little one. To make up for it they brought him out another small. Might have ended up with more but not what he ordered and was disappointed. My order was not brought out when everyone elses was. I waited another hour for them to bring me a personal pizza. Not sure who our waitress was because someone different was always checking on us and I told at least three people I was missing my meal. Honestly up to receiving our food we were having a great time and talking about when we could return again with additional friends. Once the food fiasco happened, we are likely never to return. We understand the place was packed and they were overwhelmed. Servers were nice, but there was no offer to comp our food or give us a discount. Everyone in our group was done eating before I got my food. Greatly disappointed in the end.

What a fun stop. Lots of locals and regulars. Place is pretty big, lots of parking. Hard to miss. Not right on the water, its across the street. A good, chill vibe. Prices very reasonable. Staff was super friendly and the locals were fun to chat with. Would go again.

Went to see the Elvis impersonator- he was terrible! If you’ve never seen an Elvis before, you may like this but he had a below average voice and was fronted by his sister who was not very talented either. They entertained the crowd but not with strong vocals.Service was excellent and everyone had fun Will return to see other acts, this one just wasn’t for me!

Really good bar food. Attentive wait staff that are friendly. Great dance floor, wide variety of bands and friendly clientele.

In town from FL visiting family. Landed here for a beverage. Decided to order a pizza - got veggie supreme and added pepperoni. It was the best pizza Ive had in a long time!!!

You have to go to their paddle parties every month! Great fun! Good draft selection. Usual bar food fair. Pours are a little small. Nice bands and big dance area. Great table service

Jim and Jack’s is always busy on a Friday night, but the best type of busy. We had our drinks and food in and out in about an hour, maybe less. Can’t say I’m a fan of country, but they always have some sort of live music on Fridays (most of the time it is country lol). Overall one of the best bars on 50, if not the best.

Great little spot right across from the river. Good people, its of TV space, a bar, dance floor, and stage. What a great little spot to go have a get together of family and/or friends.

The west side river bank is a pretty isolated community with not a lot of options. This is probably a local dive thats been serving tunes and stuff to people for decades. And two decades ago, it would have been solid. But it feels like nothings changed in this establishment. The burgers are still served on 99¢ white bread buns that fall apart on the first bite. They serve krinkle cut fries that are soggy, cold, and my mom made them better. I doubt they even have a deep fryer. The ambience is loud music and beer advertising. There are a few nice neon signs, the big one about the tri state. Mixed drinks taste like theyre made from juice from a can.The service was good though, our waitress was a quaint woman who attended us well. Thats about it. Bar fare has come a long way from the past but not for this place

Saw a local band. Had a lot of fun. Service was GREAT. Really enjoyed our evening out.

My husband and I visited Jim and Jacks for the first time last night. We stopped in for dinner and also to check out their party room. My husband ordered the codfather and he said it was good. I ordered the Italian sausage and it was delicious! I needed to eat it with a knife and fork but it was one of the best I have had anywhere in town. The party room is very nice. The servers and hostess were friendly. On a Sunday night this place attracts an older crowd. Most came in for the live band. We did not stay for the music so cannot comment on that.

Service could be better. Food is good, especially pretzel bites! Awesome new hardwood dance floor! Great music and dancing several nights per week.

The food and services were terrible. Wanted to try something new to celebrate our anniversary and what a waste of the night😡 was here for over 2 and a half for nachos and a burger that were absolutely horrendous. Waste of our night!

Loved this bar. Had the best time talking to a very nice lady who waited on us. Saw a band called Harry Strawberry. They were great to listen to. They have a nice dance floor.The food was good and the drinks were well poured. I wish they had a place like this in Columbus.

Terrible pizza because its oily, raw bacon on the fries. Staff wasnt as good they look innapropriate for a restaurant. Peperonni tasted burnt. Wouldnt come again tbh.👎

We came with a group of senior citizens from a nursing home and there is no wheelchair accessible bathroom here. I had to take a patient to the restroom and had to get help because there was literally no room . Group of twenty and only one server. Lord..

Quaint, Friendly little place. I had a pretty nice burger and fries, maybe a tad bit on the pricey side for the portion size but still a decent value.

Great fish dinner with even better entertainment! No place else in the city do you get better value, and Mike Davis never fails to please!

Saw the band Vague Traces last night. They were high energy, fun, great musicians, and good lead singer. Great rocking band. Fun to dance to and sing along with. It was their first time playing at Jim and Jacks. For all you Jim and Jack regulars who didnt show out, make sure you come next time they are their! Creech the guitarist and the drummer came to our table to chat and they were cool!Mark and Lori

CODFather was pretty good. Huge piece of fish! drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. Staff was reasonably responsive and available.

Definitely a hidden gem!! My friend and I walked in and sat at the bar right away. There was live music, which sounded amazing. The bartender was super friendly and our food was so good! The service was quick and everyone was so welcoming. My friend got the cowboy burger and I had the Italian sandwich. Definitely recommend both! It was spacious and I saw they had line dancing lessons on wednesdays. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to visit again!!

Went to a birthday party. Ordered off the menu - Pretzel bites were good but the cheese was cold. Cheeseburger was delicious. Service was top notch.

The Second Wind Band was incredible!! We reserved a front and center table, but were seated in a far away corner......disappointing.

Prompt, friendly service and well prepared, tasty food. Casual, bar atmosphere. If thats the style of place you enjoy, I would strongly recommend Jim and Jacks.

Came at a busy time on a Friday night. Nearly an hour wait for our entrée but the food and presentation was exceptional.

Down to earth west side establishment. If you are from the east side you may not appreciate it. If you are a west side, you probably already love it.Fisher timers must start with a burger.

The atmosphere was amazing the music even better. We was there for a benefit. The food ahhh not the best was very cold besides the pizza which for bar food I can say was amazing the pretzels and tots very cold but I was not unhappy they where very busy. All and all was very pleased.

Good food (we had salads), great service, and some awesome bands on Saturday nights (I cant speak to other nights). If you like dancing, they have plenty of room in front of the stage.

I had my wifes surprise 50th birthday party on 6/25/22. We had about 50 people at the party. The staff was fantastic , food was good and we had a GREAT TIME! The pricing was well within budget. Would 100% recommend Jim & Jacks for any gathering.

A nice place to have a funeral for a friend the friends and family of the late Jack Swauer gathered together to celebrate the life of one the most over the top people Ive ever had the pleasure to know go quietly old friend and. Rest assured your not going to be forgotten for quite some time it was a pleasure to have known you rest in peace.

The fries say seasoned on the menu, but they were just regular crinkle fries. I am handicapped and they have a nice big restroom, but they only have one metal bar, and its in a useless position: behind you on the toilet. Needs to be on the side so you can use it to get up.

Pretty good food and extremely friendly service. But $20 per person seemed very high for bar food.We had a family get together and it was fun. But I felt a little sticker shock when I got the $40 bill for two people. 😯I guess I was thinking it would be less considering the portion sizes werent really that big.

We got the delicious Cod on Rye, I had a salad with mine. Jerry got fries and we had a bud light draft. Food was excellent, and all the people working Bev, Dottie, and the rest of the crew were so nice, friendly and very efficient. We love going down there. Its about 65 miles from our home, but we love going down there.

Went to a birthday for someone I never met. Nice place. Nice big stage. Never been there. Great bourbon pours and Stella Is On Tap !! That alone has me returning. The wife gently put me in the car and I magically awoke in my bed. Wow

Went to Jim and Jacks for the first time Saturday night and loved it. The place is really big, had a fantastic band playing (not too loud), and the servers were friendly and prompt. We had a few cocktails and an appetizer which was delicious, and all while maintaining social distancing. LOL. We enjoyed ourselves, and I think everyone that goes to this place will as well.

Wonderful waitress, amazing food and good service. Prices are reasonable, but that wasnt an option for stars... Atmosphere is average, but its the company you keep that helps make this place great.

Love the staff but the food leaves something to be desired. It tastes cheap and lacks flavor. The fish is the only thing that Ive found that is consistently good. I expect a bit more when almost every meal costs $9.99 or more. I will continue to eat there but Ill stick with the fish.The beer prices are average for the west side, no complaint there.They have live music at night and the setup looks like it would be a blast. I havent been there for it personally though.

Had a great time on Thursday night. We saw Elvis impersonator Mike Davis. He puts on one awesome show. I had the cod fish sandwich my husband had the western burger was really good. Never have we had food that was not good. Staff is awesome they treat you like family. Angel and Marcie are fun to be around. They take money at the door on Mike nights, which is second and third Thursdays of the month. Very family friendly oriented place. Fun for people ages one and beyond. Love the place.

I have had a blast there every time Ive went. Excellent service, bartenders are awesome. Some of the best live music, like Excalibur. Very very good draft beer and pizza.

We stopped for dinner after a Bengals game and that was a good decision. Great food served hot and fresh. Service was excellent! Friendly, made sure we had refills and checked several times to see if we needed anything.

We were having a great time with a group until 8ish when we were told we had to move tables since ours was reserved for another group. No discussion, no options, just move. Needless to say our group of ten with healthy tabs were a little frustrated. This situation could have easily been handled with reasonable discussion but that was not an option. Very disappointing.

The Avenues play down there they are a great band they play oldies and Motown Services great they have a big dance floor we danced they do serve food their food is great also five stars we didnt need this time but weve ate there before their food is delicious and fair prices

Came here many times and had a good experience but tonight came to watch the band and eat dinner. Was told we could have a table when group left. Waited a hour and a 1 1/2 at bar for table. Group left and they gave our table away when we could have already ate at the bar. Got there 2 1/2 hours before the band started so we could get a table to see the band and then was asked if we just wanted to sit at the bar or he could eventually get us a table. I’m good you lost our business.Haha to your response you could have given us a table way before hand to eat dinner then. And that was a 4 seater and a 2 seater table that we would have been fine with… but you forgot about us and gave it away. And you gave the 2 seater to 2 people which is was what we had at the time. We wouldn’t have sat at the bar the whole time to wait for the table you promised us. And you offered us seats at a different table (how late later) because you knew you messed up. How about instead of trying to defend yourself you apologize. But that’s ok we won’t be back.

Mediocre all around. Far from the best but pretty good. Pretty good tunes on the radio High prices for the quality of food, and a substantial surcharge if paying by card. This is primarily a bar, so the food seems like an afterthought. Nice people.

Great band, everyone was friendly. We ended up getting our own drinks from the bar, but that was not an issue. Im sure we will go back again. Its a fun atmosphere and worth checking out.

Actually we have just been here twice listening & dancing to great music. The service here has been great and everyone seems to work with us. Its becoming one of our favorite places to go too with family & friends.

Tight music and good food

Food is good and the service is even better. I recommended the loaded tater tots - those alone can feed a family and they are delicious. They were setting up for live music as we left, will have to go back for it someday.

Visited here for the 1st time in 10 years. Of course, I came for the Codfather. You dont need it, go with the small. Fish was excellent, so were the onion rings. Bartenders, could have used some help. Largest draft beer is 16 oz. Best part was meeting one of the regulars. **My car was clipped by someone in the parking lot. No note, no cameras.😤🤦🏼‍♀️ Ill be more choosy where I park, next time.

Love it down here. Home away from home, you can always find family here, even if you arent related. Service is always the best, and they have the greatest cowboy burger. Also come here every Sunday after church for their awesome breakfast! ♡♡♡ now if they would just get a mechanical bull! :)

First visit, recommended by co-worker for lunch. Was skeptical upon arriving since its primarily a country western dance hall and bar, but the bean soup was genuinely excellent and the salad very good as well. Id definitely go back for lunch again.

It was very loud. They seated us right next to a huge party and it was so loud we couldnt talk to each other over the noise. The waitress didnt come over once without us waiving her down, and when she did, she didnt attempt to refill out empty drinks.

L heard what the reviews said about the fish. It was superior! The bather which they fried the food in is thin but crispy on the outside. You taste more of the the fish and it was thick and done. It looks just like the photo. Though it is far for me, I will go back again, next time l will go when their is a live music. GREAT Job Jim and Jacks on the River u nail it😁

This was our first time at Jim and Jacks and it will also be our last. We ordered pretzel bites and when they arrived, they were still cold in the middle. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and my wife ordered the fish sandwich. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich was bland and just had chicken, Buffalo sauce and Blue Cheese dressing on a bun, nothing else. My wifes fish sandwich was good. The service was terrible. After our food arrived we were pretty much ignored. Our waters were not refilled, no one checked if we liked our food, nothing. There was a big party outside on the patio and the servers were more focused on them, than anyone sitting inside. After waiting through several way too loud country songs, my wife had to go to bar and ask for our check. We had heard good things about Jim and Jacks,, but were very disappointed.

A really huge place to go and watch live music. There is a dance floor where a good crowd was line dancing. The prices were good for drinks and the people were very friendly. The owner and his daughter were there and it seemed like they knew 90 percent of the people.

I went to see Dreamboat Annie last Saturday night. It was a joke. $15.00 to get in and all tables were reserved. Everyone working there had such an attitude. They gave us a table right in front of a wall...I had to stand up to see the band. No dancing...and they going around questioning if we wanted to give up our table.The service was awful. I will never go there again. I also know a large group of 25 peoplewho were there....they said they would never go back!! And to top ot off it was $2.75 for a regular coke!!!! What a Westside rip off! It was a local band.It was boring as hell and you make excuses...for a bar and we stood because who would position a table behind a wall? I managed nightclubs and would not have treated customers like you have! No excuse for the way we were treated...reservations or not!

Weve visited Jim & Jacks many times, including when they were doing parking lot seating. This was our first time since reopening the indoors for dancing with a live band. We loved the new items on the menu though service was a little slow, but thats to be expected while they are getting back into the swing of reopening. Our big concern were the many folks refusing to wear masks while dancing though the band announced it was a must. We felt very uncomfortable and left at the first break. We understand Jim & Jacks wants to be welcoming but also want to let them know that we will be staying away until the Covid situation is safer.

Great food and service. Possibly the best band Ive seen in a bar since I moved back to Ohio 7 years ago. All the bar tenders and wait staff were wonderful. We had a great time. Thanks guys.

You cannot beat Jim & Jacks for an evening of live music or lunch during the work week. The owner, manager and staff are some of the friendliest folks you will ever meet and the service A1! There is not a bad item on the menu. The selection of burgers is awesome and the COD Father is out of this world. I have tried the new selection of Pizza Pies and recommend them highly. The Jim family are true West Side gems and they make every customer feel like family.

Very disappointed! Was a nice clean place. But the drinks were watered down so bad. I had 7 drinks and 2 shots and could hardly tell i had drank anything (Ive drank twice over the last 10 yrs.).My wife was drinking margaritas and about 9:30 they ran out of magarita mix. Waitress was pitiful. Had to walk up to bar to get refills on two different occasions. Not likely to return.

Attended a celebration of life in one of the rented rooms. It was a very nice experience. Food is great. Especially the Cod Sandwich and the Barbecue Pizza. Highly recommend this place.

Went durning the week around 5pm.No wait.One of my friends ordered a Italian hoagie. She said it was very good.My other friend & myself got the little Godfather fish sandwich & you get one side.We odered fries & onion rings. Onion rings were delicious, fish was deep fried cod.It was so good. They are also building a outdoor area to eat outside too!!!

Great neighborhood spot thats large enough for gatherings and small celebrations. Pizza, beer and boot scootin line-dancing is what youll get on a Saturday evening. I believe they hold classes on Thursdays. Young and old hangout!

This was my first time there, I was really impressed! I had no idea the place was this big, large bar, large dining room, stage, seemed like plenty of parking. Service was quick and friendly, I will go back.

Pizza was delicious. As was the buffalo chicken wrap which I had made with Bleu cheese instead of ranch. Friendly staff. We always stop before/after Reds and Bengals games.

Tired and outdated. Id heard good things about this place so a buddy and I checked out it. The food is nothing better than you would get at a local Frischs. The acclaimed fish sandwich was a standard fillet and served between two pieces of plain white bread. Thats right. White. Bread. Not a bun. I had to ask for a hamburger bun. Nice size dance floor, but much older crowd. Watching people dance reminded me of something David Lynch would stage for a scene in Twin Peaks.

Went on a line dancing night for my fathers birthday. He loved it. There was a large group there for dancing. Everyone was having a great time. Not a great draft selection at all, but an ok bottle/can selection.

We saw Elvis performing on stage while we had our lunch says its on the river you cant even see the river its across the street but food was good I recommend the large chicken nachos for $14

Well I wascin there on Wednesday with six other people that I work with and I put my order in before two other people and my order was put in last so as far as me returning to this place will not happen. Love this place! Great grill food & pizza- I had the Spicy Italian Sausage on hoagie, with waffle fries that rival Chic Fil A, plus theyre seasoned, crispy delicious. Great portions: Im STUFFED. We also had a Frito Bandito Pizza (Taco Pizza) and burger, pulled pork, all good and super affordable. Bonus line dancing! Hoping they order our Nashville Hot Chicken Sauce, so Cincinnati can experience it at this great place!

This is a cool place on the river. The menu is pretty broad with something for everyone. The prices are also affordable. There are three different bars so theres never a line for service. I really enjoyed it.

Food n music were outstanding. Reasonably priced. Prep was a little long and just barely made it back to work in time as a result, but food was worth it.

Ordered their $25, 64oz tiki torch mixed drink but was left disappointed. The jar was packed with 90% ice which made the drink only last 15 minutes. Not only that, but after drinking the whole thing my girlfriend and I remain 100% sober the entire night without as much as a slight buzz. Id rate the alcohol content of the drink somewhere between apple juice and Coca-Cola.If your looking for value cocktails, Id look elsewhere.

Got the Cod sandwich and the piece was so big that I just used a fork and knife. It was cooked perfectly. Loaded fries were great.

Ah Jim & Jacks on the river, A westside staple! Conveniently located roughly ten minutes from downtown Cincinnati. With its small town hospitality and family owned friendly service it seems like it would be located a lot farther away, fortunately for us it is not.Jim & Jacks offers everything that bars were built on and unfortunately are rare to find anymore. Lucky for you and I they have it. The location is convenient but not congested with multiple other establishments making parking a dream come true. The owner is very hands on and is never to busy to ask how things are going. The food and drink selection is rather wide and all of it is worth a try.The live entertainment is what they use to draw in the crowd and rightfully so. It is quite spectacular, they constantly provide the best live entertainment for there audience and do it often enough for you not to be able to forget about. They seem to aim more towards the country crowd which I am not particularly fond of but to each its own. However, if you like to dance look no more because Jim & Jacks puts its money where its mouth is in the dancing realm.The food menu has changed a few times in the last couple of years. Which is great that they are changing it up to keep people returning. I would have to say that my favorite part of it is when the owner is available to make breakfast, he makes a mean western omelette, the bloody Marys are standard but solid. Ive never had anything off of the dinner menu I didnt enjoy. From what I have been told he has a long time friend help him with the dinner menu who is a genius in the kitchen. The CODfather is the staple sandwich and needs no explanation due to the name.I have heard a lot of people say that this is an old timers bar and I would disagree and go on to say that this is an establishment with class and respect to not allow people that are going to tarnish its good name inhabit it. The crowd is as good as it gets, the regulars are as friendly as it comes and you just cant beat the loyalty.As far as the decor and drink selection goes they are both pretty up to date inside has been recently renovated and looks amazing, the dance floor is brand new. The previous one had some mileage on it so they had to bring in a new one. The only complaint I have is that they do not offer any leisure sports. I think they could really capitalize off of a large Jenga set on the patio or cornhole on the inside when they have no band playing or even a special area out back. They are doing a decent job in the craft beer world, a few solid local breweries and all of the basic known imports. The liquor selection is something special, they have damn near everything you could want out of a bar plus some.Overall Jim & Jacks is a great place to relax and become a regular. The service, prices and products are all worth the drive if you arent a westsider and as far as westsiders not familiar with them its a place to make friends and memories. What more could you ask for?

It has changed since I first started going there 5 to 6 years ago. And I left the area for 2 years and just went back tonight. Since I am a child of the 60s and 70s, that is where my song heart lives. But oh for joy tonight!!!I learned every Sunday 7p to 10p, the oldies are played. HOT DOG and occasionally during the month. Ill check the calendar to avoid the band that played tonight😱..The Avenues are playing tomorrow night. Hot Dog..😊 I will be there..!!!...

Great family business. They have done a lot of remodeling in the last few years. Very consistent service and quality food choices.

First off, Im an out of towner. I had the italian sausage and a few drinks. Food was good, drinks were better, but the best thing was the people, from the locals stopping in to the server.

Went for an officials meeting and ordered food. Great hamburger from a cow who must died happy, and the most friendly service you could ask for. Crispy fries the way I ordered and like.

Jessie and Sissie were great. Truly a Good time. But management needs to up their wine selection. Too many wineries in the area to not take advantage of

They have been around for a very very long time and they have a few nights of 50s & 60s music and Friday and Saturday nights Country Music with line dancing.... there food is very very good and the prices are very affordable.... its a great place bring your family and friends i guarantee everyone will have a great time therr and be glad they came as well ....

Stopped by for lunch, had the Godfather and loved every inch of it. Clean super friendly, if you havent tried it I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Atmosphere was great. Band was just ok, nothing to brag about. $17.50 for bucket of beer is a joke since I paid $5 to get in. First and last time there.

Jim and Jacks a West side staple for 30 years is easily one of the cleanest and most comfortable “bars” I have ever been in. Today I had the philly beef sandwich and I was three bites in and can tell you this is the best philly I have ever had in Cincinnati and that includes that other local favorite that specializes in them! Do yourself a favor and stop in here for crisp cold beers, and amazing food!!

We had an company wide veterans luncheon for veterans day, everything was awesome, the service, the food, and the company. I highly recommend, jim & jacks.

Food is good, especially the Codfather, a giant fish sandwich. Beer is a little pricey out of the bottle, domestic, 3.75. However when I purchased a beer at the bar it was 3.00.

Been coming here for years. Great hangout on Sunday for the local dance community - swing, cha cha, hustle, west coast. Nice floor and great music.

Wasnt impressed. Food was ok. Band would have been good to listen to but to many line dancers and stomping their boots on dance floor.

I use to go there when I lived in Cincinnati but I havent been in almost 13 yrs but even back then and my mom still says they have great food she lives over in Delhi and loves going there at least once a week

Well everyone knows the cod fish is good but you have to try the Italian sasuage hoagie. The best around. Its not a flat peice but better yet its a large long sasuage LINK WITH ALL THE FIXINS.
