I used to come to this location off & on the last few years. The location is always clean & friendly staff. Recently, I was dealing with a lot of shoulder & back pain. Luckily, Ibnijah is amazing at his job! He made all my pain go away. Now I come every month for a massage, specifically from him. Hes very kind, respectful, & always a great encounter. Give that man a raise! 🙌
My husband and I went to Essentials for a couples deep tissue massage. This was hands down the best massage experience we have had. The women who did our massages were excellent - they executed the pressures that we wanted for our massages perfectly. We will definitely be back here during our next vacation to Clearwater!
Chanel is AMAZING! I feel like I drew the GOLDEN Ticket when I was booked with her at Essentials. Chanel is truly the best massage therapist I’ve ever had and I now book with her regularly, because she’s magical. If I have a severe ache or just need to turn off the world, she knows exactly how to cure the issue. She’s extremely professional and caring—she deserves 10 stars! ⭐️
This place is my oasis. I love the feeling of relaxation and calm here. John is my massage therapist and he truly understands the human body and how to take care of muscles and tendons. John has studied Chinese medicine and knows about all of the acupuncture points in the body. I keep a lot of tension in my back and he knows how to remedy this. Michael, the owner, and all of the staff are friendly and calming. Essentials is always clean and fresh and their linens are meticulously cleaned. As I get older, I know that this self care is extremely important. Last year, I fell, and I was in a lot of pain. I came to see John every week until I was healed. It took 4 weeks and I was 100% better!I encourage everyone to make the investment in your health and wellness. You will feel happier and healthier!Thank you to everyone at Essentials!

Great, attentive staff and a very peaceful, professional place. Did a couples massage here and it was really good. The massage therapist had the perfect pressure. I wish I had gotten some attention to the lower back, but I believe thats not included in the relaxation/signature couples massage or time just ran short. Maybe opt for a therapeutic massage/longer time. Nice experience though. My upper back, neck and shoulders feel great and foot scrub/massage was good as well. As theyll likely remind you, show up early for your appointment for the brief paperwork 👍
My mom and I are not from the area and wanted to get a massage. The price was so good for what we got! And the massages were phenomenal! We left feeling completely relaxed. Would recommend this spa to anyone!
This would have been a (5) stars, should we have received the full time we paid for. But we received maybe 1:10 minutes of massage of the 1.5 hours thats paid for. Our appointment was at 3:00. So we arrived at 3:00. They had me fill the form for first patient, get me and my Wife changed, etc. All of this took maybe 15-20 min before we got started. But they stopped their massage RIGHT on the clock at 4:30, which showed me we did not received the full amount of what was paid for. And even if we would have arrived early, they were not there at 3:00 waiting for us, so Im not sure exactly how their time system works but I would suggest you arrive early for your appointment and get changed REALLY fast, because all the time you take before your massage is taken off the actual massage time. Other than that, the massage was great and the ambiance very relaxing. We enjoyed it, just wish we had received the full time of what we paid.
I got a therapist who also works at a chiropractor office, so I figured I would be getting an amazing job. I dont know if she was off her game today or what but ..1. She didnt drape properly, and the sheet went way down my butt and my vagina was out. I shouldve stopped the session. 🤦🏽♀️2. Too much oil, no grip because of so much oil3. She would just stop touching me, I dont know if she was on her phone or what, but she did it about 5 times4. She kept going deep, I put down med firm, just randomly deep into my shoulder and then deep into my quadsThe manager gave me a 10% discount but Im more concerned about how no one else has mentioned her draping. I almost screamed stop but I didnt.I still tipped her because she did a service . I wont be returning to her in the future
MASSAGE: I have been a client of Ibanijah for six months. He is always timely, always gives 100%, and always relaxing. Fantastic massage. Michelle was excellent.All the staff members are so kind and polite. Its also a beautiful facility with incredible furniture. They have a waiting room in back with massage chairs and they serve orange juice, champagne or Mimosa while youre waiting for your friend. I love this place and will certainly be returning.
So I’ve been going to essentials massage for over a year now and I usually have a pretty good experience or an ok one but last week was pretty bad. I booked my reservation over the phone and was told two female names that were going to be working with me that day. One for my massage and one for my facial. When I got out of my facial, I was told Felix was going to be taking care of me. If I had known I was going to be put with a male massage therapist I would have changed the date to a more suitable date to accommodate me. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but his skill level was very poor. The girls way of massaging was completely different than his. His massage pattern was very off, kind of felt like what a friend would do if you asked them to massage you for 90 min. His hands would do circular motions around the body and press. I was still in pain when I left but I didn’t want to say anything to him, I just felt uncomfortable with the whole situation. He breathes very heavy as well over you the entire time. I mentioned it to the front desk and things”oh yeah he’s new” and kind of made a face indicating I wasn’t the only one who has complained. She told me she would also look into the recording about changing the massage therapist last minute. As a loyal customer who was unsatisfied, I feel like something more should have been done. I was told Ye was back working there who I used to go to but was not there that day and if I had known that I would have just scheduled with her another day. I want to state Felix was not rude and I feel bad writing this but I don’t feel like he’s qualified for this job.
For the last morning of my Clearwater beach vacay, I wanted to do something to relax & get pampered. So I found Essentials Massage through a Google search and Im so glad I chose them! I was early for my appointment, but they took me right back to begin my massage with Angelica (sp ?) who asked questions to find out exactly what I wanted out of the massage. I wasnt really fond of the house music, so Angelica found something that suited my music taste for my hour long massage. After that, I went to Lanoy (I think) for an hour long facial and hand rejuvenation (I cant really remember what the hand part was called). I have never had a facial before, but she did such a wonderful job, that now I know that its okay to relax and dont forget to breathe! I would definitely recommend this place if you need something relaxing to do other than a beach day! 100% YES!
This was my first time here and really enjoyed the whole experience. Samantha did my facial and Aiden did my nails. They were both wonderful and I left feeling rejuvenated and very happy. Will definitely be back again!!
Horrible communication and even worse customer service. Paid over $140 for a massage I scheduled and was told on the phone everything was fine. I arrive to be told my Groupon is invalid from a prior reschedule. Supposedly a voice mail and text wad left on my phone which I did not receive. Regardless, I drove an hour and a half for this and my boyfriend flew in from Pennsylvania from being out for work. They were not willing to cooperate with us at all and give us any kind of discount or accommodation for the misunderstanding. A total waste of my time and money and a really really sad start to our small vacation together. Such a horrible experience and lack of compassion from staff. Will never be returning to any location 0/10 experience.
Great place! Got a couples massage with my gf and masseuses are super professional! I was told though it was 60 minutes of actual massage by the front desk, we started at 6:10 and they finished at 6:57. So that was 47 minutes technically. Also we upgraded to the therapeutic and were told there will be hot stones, wasn’t given that either. But still the level of service provided by the two massage therapists was exceptional, thus the 5-stars.
Ibanijah is an extrondiany massage therapist he compares to no other! Sam is an amazing aesthetician they both provide extreme customer service and I have been going to them for about a year now, they are simply amazing and highly recommended.

Absolute worst massage experience I’ve ever had.We had a couples massage. I will speak for myself and say it was the worst massage I’ve ever had in my life. I will also say that I have never had my arms dangling off the side of the table for 20 minutes straight, had a shaky messuer with no flow, heavy weird breathing, , cough over my face when I was turned over, head slung in a hot towel and ever experienced my messier shouting “tada” at the end of my massage. Was told to throw the hot towel on the floor in the corner- where the other towels were thrown on the floor too. By the way there was no basket. It was awful and I even called the next day after I gathered what had happened in a professional way to express myself- and the manager was so gaslighting. Attempted to put words in my mouth by claiming I said anything about my spouses massage and experience to which I actually had to say “I did not say that and I don’t think it’s appropriate to put words in my mouth. My spouse can speak for himself”. She would not listen to my serious concerns and uncomfortable experiences and continued to try to make it seem like it was my fault I didn’t say anything at the time of service with my masseur standing right there and a lobby full of people. First of all- I did say something Within 24 hours. I was just so shocked and remained professional with a lobby full of un expecting people. I’m not here to ruin anyone else’s time, but this business and manager and responses are wildly unprofessional.I will never go here again. I will encourage every single person to avoid it and look at the responses to the 1 star reviews. The gaslighting is REAL and the massages are worse.
My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at Essential Massage. We were able to get an appointment at a decent time during the long weekend with no problems. Decent price for a couples massage. Our massage therapists, Ebony and Shanell are complete angels!! They applied the perfect amount of pressure and communicated with us to ensure comfort. I highly recommend Ebony from my direct experience. All staff were friendly from the moment we walked in to exiting. We would definitely revisit when in the area again.

My Husband both had our 1st massages here a few weeks ago. It was a wonderful experience. Angelica was wonderful. I loved it so much I went in a few days later for a facial. Asia did a wonderful job and she was super welcoming and friendly. We found our new go to for sure.
They were amazing, even though we were the last appointment of the day. I will definitely be visiting again when I return. My only disappointment is that they don’t have a location where I live. Keep up the good work, hands down the best massage I ever had :)
My daughter and I did a couples massage. OH MY GOD!!! I absolutely loved it. What an experience. I suffer with back pain because of my 3 herniated discs and the gentleman massaging me was so kind and understanding. Best Massage I’ve ever received. Specifically with Lanoy, she carried a conversation but also questioned if I had any concerns. The pressure was great and also let me know what areas in my body were tight. I highly recommend! If i visit Clearwater again this definitely is my spot! Not to mention she gave me an idea of things to do, which led me to an eventful night visiting Enchant. Thank you Lanoy! Also, she is very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate. Perfection!

Pump faked me on the price for a facial. Manager/owner says its 60 for a mens facial turns, out to be 70. Sounds minimal but to change the price after an agreed upon price is not my favorite.
I’ve been going to this spa since it opened. I love the environment and professionalism of all staff. I’m am a retired salon owner so I know what it takes to give services and keep a balance of a well run spa. They always go above and beyond for me , my family and any referrals I send. Everyone is friendly and really pay attention to making your spa day special.

This spa completely exceeded my expectations. I received my visit as a gift for my birthday and absolutely loved it. The massage by John and the facial by Samantha were top notch and left me feeling pampered, refreshed and relaxed. I’m so glad I discovered this hidden gem in Clearwater and I will definitely be returning. The staff was warm and inviting and the spa is lovely.
The staff here is very friendly. I had a therapeutic massage, I came with pain and left with no pain. I wish I could remember the Asian gentleman who gave me the massage but I don’t know his name. Then we had facials, and I had Samantha who was fabulous. We purchased a spa special for our 35th anniversary, and it came with white wine, which was decent! And a generous plate of a half dozen large chocolate strawberries, delicious. The place is neat and clean but nothing extravagant looking. My only complaint was that I was told the massage was an hour and it was 50 minutes, and was told on the phone that the facial was an hour and they told me it would be 40 minutes once I i got there. . I did tell them that wasn’t acceptable since I was told an hour on the phone. Samantha made good by by adding more time for me. The manager of the salon was also a very nice gentleman that seem to take pride in his position. overall I would recommend essentials, as long as you’re not looking for a complete luxury type atmosphere.
I got a deep tissue massage with John and it was a perfect 10. Perfect pressure and included hot stones and a foot exfoliation to boot. My body felt amazing! My Euro facial with Natalee was also great. Face feels so clean and smooth! Definitely recommend!!
Essential Massage and Facials on Lakeview is amazing! The service, spa interior, and value of services can not be beat! Felix was so good with my relaxation massage, aromatherapy, hot stones, and hot towel booking that I will be back very soon for another treatment. This place is incredible - we are visiting from out of town and they accommodated my husband and I same day for couples massages and facials. We were given complimentary drinks in the lounge afterward. All around very friendly staff and excellent service.
I have been coming here for two years and I have always had an amazing time with any of the massage therapists or aestheticians! I love the owners and everyone is so friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and talented!! They have hosted my mini spa day birthday parties twice now and have always been such a pleasure to work with! One year they got me a some chocolate covered strawberries and champagne and the next year they got me a birthday sash a few other little things. They also have a big team of staff so they have quick availability times and their prices are very competitive being so close to the beach!! What I enjoy about the spa itself are the gorgeous treatment rooms and the relaxing lounge room for when you book multiple services. You get this high quality plush robe and slippers to wear and they even have showers! Highly highly highly recommend! I even had a friend drive over an hour to come here after she came to my spa day birthday party because she loved it so much!

This was an amazing experience. From the time we arrived til we left. The setup of the establishment is nice. This was a couples massage experience. The massage therapist were “WOW”!!! This was my wife’s 1st experience and she absolutely loved it. I have had multiple massages and this was by far one of the best experiences for me!!! Our therapist were Yvonne and Julian.

This was the best Valentine’s Day gift!! My girlfriend and I got the signature massage and I also go a facial. The massage was KILLER, (I think her name was ebony), prefect pressure, removed all tension. My facial with Samantha was perfect. Julian did an amazing job with my relaxation massage, my first time having a male masseuse, everything was great! Will definitely go back to have him do a therapeutic massage!!! Yee was my massage therapist and she gave me one of the best massages I have ever gotten. I have been struggling with my neck being tight the last few days and decided to try somewhere new. It feels like she really knew exactly what I wanted/needed. Would definitely recommend her!
Rosemary was freaking amazing. I felt a bit broken when I walked in but she changed that. Havent felt this great in awhile. I already made my next appointment with her. If you get massages look up Rosemary at Essentials in Clearwater.
I had John as my masseuse. He was absolutely amazing! I had requested deep tissue and it’s exactly what I got. Many times I find the massage to be too light and very generic, not focusing on my specific regions of tension. John applied the perfect amount of pressure, frequently checked to make sure it felt ok, and spent a long time on the specific areas I requested. Probably the best massage I’ve ever gotten and I will absolutely be back.
Best experience at a spa ever!!! From the gal who opened and greeted me at the door, to the way every staff person smiled and said hello, to the most relaxing and invigorating massage from Johanna!!! If I werent 24 hours away, I would have to go at least once a month!! Till next vacation, I guess!! I really cannot say enough great things about my experience! Place is flawlessly clean, sleekly decorated, and so relaxing with dim lighting, soft music and fireplace mounted on wall of spa room! I was SO pleased I had to tip my gal AND hand the owner money to reward ALL his staff with donuts or something the next day!! Came here while on vacation. Had the most amazing massage and facial. The first waiting area was kind of bright (overhead lighting) but did have blankets. The rooms were dim but the music could be louder—sometimes it got really quiet and I could barely hear it. The ladies were so nice and I felt very relaxed. Would come here again for sure when im in town.
I had a great CBD massage and enzyme facial. The people were very professional and paid close attention to detail. I also purchased a few items to add to my morning and evening face-cleansing routine. I recommend this place.

I experienced the relaxing massage, hot stones, exfoliation, foot massage and facial- which basically all created a soul rejuvenation 😂 Jacqueline is an amazing massage therapist who worked knots out of my neck that I feel like I’ve had for years and I will definitely be requesting her in the future! Ebony was my esthetician and made my face literally GLOW (also requesting for future visits!). The space is gorgeous, super clean and very comfortable and every staff member I interacted with was very sweet and friendly. Overall an incredible experience so thank you all! I was visiting family in Florida to celebrate my sisters birthday, and wanted to get her a massage. I came across this place while searching for a good massage in the Clearwater area. I’m glad we went here! The building is tucked away, but it’s nice and quiet. The inside is really nice and the rooms have a nice electric fireplace, so the vibe is very calming. The staff was great! I had Joanna and my sister had Sharon, and both of us got the relaxation massage with hot stones. Highly recommend!

This was my very first massage and I was pretty nervous. When I walked in I was greeted immediately which made me feel at ease. I didnt have to wait long once I was checked in. I didnt know what to expect once in the room but John was very professional and kept checking to make sure I was comfortable. The massage was AMAZING and I left feeling incredible. Ive already told people about it and plan on returning. I dont live in the area but this place is worth the drive.
We went for the Valentine’s Day couple special and it was awesome! Stated in the sauna and then had facials and a couples massage. Everyone was so friendly and it was a relaxing experience. Will definitely be recommending friends and family to come try. I will also be back!

Went there for my 7th year anniversary ended up getting the date night special the only thing from that.that was good was the drinks and strawberries we complained to them about not liking the massage part of it and they basically didnt care to fix the issue.
My husband and I are visiting from NC and we scheduled a couples massage at Essentials. The massage therapists were excellent! And accomplished our goals of feeling rejuvenated and blissful. The pricing was fair and the establishment was very clean. We highly recommend opting for the 90 mins massage with either Rosemary or Nygiha.

Avoid. I live in another state. I called this place & purchased a gift certificate for my mom to have a massage after her husband/my dad passed away. I specifically communicated to staff that I wanted the tip included when I pre-paid, which they obliged. After my mom had her massage, the staff shook her down for a tip. Totally unacceptable. I reached out to them and never received a call back.

My husband and I also got to be in the same room together with tables side by side and John was great at working out a lot of knots.The front desk staff was really friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions about the package options when booking. I’d recommend this experience to anyone in the Clearwater area or just on vacation like us. We will book here again!
Nijah is the best therapist. 30 min drive is well worth it. Whether I need deep tissue or therapeutic massage, he gets the job done. Highly recommend him!

My wife scheduled a massage a week in advance and specifically requested a female masseuse. Staff was very friendly upon my arrival and I was the only client there at the time. After filling out paperwork and waiting 10-15 mins watching 2 other clients that arrived after me taken back, a male came out and said he would be doing the massage. I said I had requested a female and he appeared offended. I was told there were no females avail and they kept trying to sell the male even though I was very clear it would not happen. I left without getting a massage.Very disappointed with my first time coming to this business. As soon as I got home I received a phone call telling me I would be charged for the full service because I didnt accept the male masseuse. After I was transferred to Mike(manager?). I rescheduled for another day with a female masseuse. Still not happy but will update depending on my next experience.My massage with Ebony was very relaxing and if my first experience wasnt so bad I would of given 5 stars.

Our couples massage was out of this world! It was our honeymoon a few weeks ago and they really made it special with the couples massage. It included chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne in a quiet room to sit, relax, and enjoy after the amazing massage. All the staff we met were very friendly and we even got great restaurant recommendations. When were in Clearwater again, well for sure be back!
I’d give zero stars if I could. Probably the worst relaxation massage I’ve ever gotten. I was not relaxed at all the entire little bit of time I was actually getting massaged. Numerous 20–30 second pauses. Walking back and forth to a counter for lotion moving very slowly. Sprayed a cloth like 8 times with (my choice of aromatherapy) peppermint…and as I was face down, the cloth was pretty much shoved in the area opening for your face— so close to my face that it was burning my eyes and my nose so I had to tell her. She removed it and a few minutes later sprayed lightly another and placed it back- this time not so close to my face. Didn’t even get my arms or hands massaged, and only half of my legs. No foot massage aside from the foot exfoliation (of which I was told I would get either my back or feet done and then not asked which one I wanted). Didn’t get hot stones either. Only a hot towel placed on my back. My 1 hour massage was at 8pm. It didn’t start until around 8:12 and was over at 8:58. It was uncomfortable as if the LMT didn’t care and just wanted to go home for the night. Won’t ever be going back to this location. Really wishing I would’ve just waited and went to my usual essentials location as my 25 min drive one-way to this one was definitely not worth it by any means. Even the setting and atmosphere of the room wasn’t even half as nice as my usual location. Beyond Extremely disappointed.
I chose this place because of the good reviews I read on google. However, I was quite disappointed after going here for a deep tissue massage and for an essential facial. The room I was in for my massage was so loud with pounding noises, the masseuse told me it was because of the washer machine. I paid for a deep tissue massage, but felt like a simple relaxation massage, but I think it depends on how experienced is your masseuse. Also, disappointed with my essential facial, even though my esthetician was very nice, but please be aware an essential facial provides basically nothing, because the enzyme and mask she applied on were all up charges, together more expensive than the essential facial itself, prices were not disclosed till you make your payment after. I wished they were more transparent about it from the beginning. Also, the receptionist at the front desk assisting with the checkout was extremely unpleasant and defensive when I told her my concerns. I was very disappointed at how this salon handle their business.
All and all an amazing experience! Highly recommend doing a massage and a facial, the most relaxing 2 hours ever. I decided to take an r&r day for my birthday and this was the best way to do it! And to top it off I was surprised with a little birthday cupcake at the end. 10/10 recommend!
I found out about Essentials from a flyer in my mailbox. I was surprised to see that their prices are very fair. I went for a facial today with Natalee and she was wonderful. She quickly identified my problem areas and gave me options for treatment. My skin is glowing! I will definitely return and ask for Natalee.

I had sensations & feelings that I never experienced out of a massage. After this visit, massage has definitely become an essential! I definitely recommend this place. The services are all excellent and the staff yesterday I got a 1 hour relaxation massage from MOMMA Jay , she really worked her magic and any discomfort I had prior to my massage instantly went away , she took her time and was checking in on me . It was just a great massage I cannot wait to book again with her

This was my first time here and it will definitely not be my last! I had a relaxation massage with Aromatherapy and Hot Stones. My therapist, Jennifer, absolutely gave me the best massage I have ever had! Seriously!!! She was extremely professional and cared about me. It felt wonderful to be treated like family! I also had a facial with Edith. This was my first facial Ive ever had and I have to say Ill be back for this treatment as well. My face feels new! I decided to buy myself a massage for my birthday and I picked the right place! The masseuse was wonderful and the owner was very sweet! Wine was included with the package that I purchased and the pours were very generous. After my massage, I was not rushed out but given a tour and shown to a room with couches where I could relax and drink my wine. It was here that the owner surprised me with a birthday cupcake with a candle and all! I highly recommend this place and I will most definitely be back!
Overall amazing experience, called ahead of time to inquire on services and books. The receptionist was super helpful and friendly. Upon arrival the waiting area was warm and inviting and the staff sitting up front was also very welcoming!My husbands massage with Johana, he said was out of this world.My massage on the other hand was very disappointing. I initially requested Julian, they said he would not be available that day so I requested Scott. When we arrived they said Scott was off because he didnt have any appointments scheduled but he did because I requested him. John was very kind and sweet but I did not enjoy the massage. There was a lot of rubbing but no meaningful technique, the pressure vacillated without any consistency.When we checked out, My husband left a $21 tip for his massage and I left $10 for mine. they asked how it was. I was honest and said mine was just ok. The response was off-putting essentially saying since I got the signature massage it would be like that. I didnt respond but my thoughts are. My husband and I got the exact same massage, also John asked what pressure and what I was looking for, if that wasnt an option, offer an upgrade, further Ive got massages all over the country and even abroad, so it was less about the package we ordered and more about the service was just not enjoyable.Would definitely come back, this time would just prefer if who we request is unavailable we are given that notice ahead of time. Just feel my choice was taken away from me and who I ended up with, was not enjoyable. So just disappointing because I put alot of upfront work into this service to end up dissatisfiedOverall, great booking experience, my husband enjoyed his massage and the ambiance is amazing
Saw this spa was open Sunday so made a last minute appointment for a massage . My therapist was Scott. I have had many massages and some at world class spas and hands down Scott was the very best massage therapist I have ever worked with. Made a second appointment for next week . His talents are a gift if you book ask for Scott you won’t regret it !

This Spa is great. Ive been going for more than a year now. Ive had a great experience with several of the massage therapists and even though each of them have different techniques I liked them all. John combines the massage with acupuncture technique which I enjoy very much. I highly recommend this place, its very well run, clean and nice looking :D

The massage was amazing but my facial wasnt worth the money. My friend got an amazing sounding facial but i feel like i didnt get any facial massage and definitely didnt get any shoulder massage. She did a very long cleansing and possibly light facial massage. If it was facial massage then it definitely did nothing to target the muscles in the face. While masking she washed things then sat in silence, which isnt what i paid for. I also told her no exfoliation because i was sunburned but i was assuming that i would at least get 2corrective masks but didnt. She did only one then did ice globes then finishing products. I am disappointed.

When booking my appointment I spoke with Marisol and she gave good information and made sure I was comfortable with everything especially since I just moved to the area and her husband Michael checked in to make sure all was going well. Ive been getting massages for about 40 years all over the world. Being a sea captain the first thing I usually wanted to do when I got to my destination was find a good massage.I always noticed the entire experience and I can say unequivocally but Ive never had a better experience from the time I talked to them on the phone to walking in Essentials beautiful Lobby and the main thing I have tried four or five different people there for a massage all of them were top-level I found my favorite after a few months I rate them has the best of the best believe me Im saying this truthfully you have the owners there every day at nicest people and they make sure they hire the best as well. My husband and I had a couples massage with Mei and Ann. They were professional and took great care of us. Both ladies made sure we were relaxed and felt good. We were offered wine when we got there and given water on the way out. The entire place was very clean and beautiful. They took pur temperatures upon entering so we had no worries. We will be recommending them to our friends and are looking forward to going back again.

Very disappointed in this location. My husband and I are in town for our honeymoon and I made sure to book a couple’s massage two weeks prior to our trip. When I called on the day to confirm our appointments, they could not find our appointments since the girl who booked us never put us on the books. She took all my information including credit card information, but did not actually book our massages and it is very frustrating. Very saddened since we were very much looking forward to this massage for our honeymoon. The director, Michael, was very nice, but sadly this will not change my view on this location. Very disappointed.
I booked an online appointment and had requested a specific massage therapist. When I arrived they had me booked with someone different. When I showed them my email saying I had requested a specific massage therapist, they told me that when you book online, even if you request a specific massage therapist it comes up as first available instead of the therapist you requested. Since they are aware of this issue, I feel like they should have called to confirm my appointment and ask if I requested a specific therapist. I wasted my time driving to get a massage that I didnt end up getting and was very disappointed in how things were handled.
I found Essentials Spa last minute looking for a couples massage. They were so accommodating and friendly. My husband is a massage therapist so he is hard to empress. He thought they were wonderful. We will definitely visit again! Thanks Guys!

I was so excited to get a massage & facial here. Purchased the Groupon & selected a date to use it as prompted on Groupon. After booking I immediately called to confirm the time/date I selected. They couldn’t confirm it because it “wasn’t in the system yet”. The next morning I get a text that they don’t have availability for the date I selected. I called & spoke to someone who was nice enough but I ended up having to get a full refund via Groupon as the woman I spoke to tried to book me a week out so she could not help me. Not to mention that I booked this for my birthday so this really ruined my plans. :(If you book through Groupon do not rely on the scheduling tool as they said “it has different dates” to avoid to HUGE inconvenience. Not sure if it was a Groupon issue or a them issue but I hope someone else can avoid the mess I went through today.

I love Essentials. The ambience is very calming. The massage beds are all heated which is my favorite. And they often can accommodate last minute appointments when you call, though the online booking is easy, too.

Scott was an amazing masseuse and Samantha gave an equally as pleasurable facial. My mom and I visited while on vacation and we must say they didn’t disappoint! Some of the best service and treatment we’ve had in a while.
We went in for a couples message and I got my eye brows waxed. The massage was not at all relaxing. It was wasn’t very gentle even though we both asked for a light massage. I also was burned from the eyebrow waxing which has left a scar and my wedding is this next Saturday. Hopping it clears up by then.
I am an LMT and it’s very important to take care of myself so I can be a better massage therapist! So I made an appointment with one of my colleagues, Lanoy, and she was amazing! She was focused on helping me feel better, she was very informative, walked me through what she was going to do and was patient with me. Her trigger point therapy is on point, trust I do not like pain and I’m sure no one does, but she did it right and the pain in my back was gone. I seriously thought the day after “wow, I really don’t feel the pain anymore!” Thank you Lanoy! I will for sure be setting up another appointment with you.

Ive been to a few different Essential Spas but this one was definitely a memorable one. When you first walk in, they check you in, have you fill out paperwork and wait before going in the relaxation room. The room wasnt anything special. Just chairs that I was told could recline and thats it. You wait there until they are ready to bring you in for your massage. I had an Asian guy (didnt get his name) and he really knew his stuff. One of the best massages Ive gotten. He definitely got all of the knots, was respectful and professional. They give you time to get undressed and dressed. They also give you a bottle of water afterwards. I even recommended to someone else and they said it was one of the best theyve ever gotten from the same masseur.

Took My daughter for her very first massage and facial, she had a wonderful time and her whole appt was handled with the utmost care making sure she knew exactly what was going to happen since she is a preteen and never experienced this before. Be careful using groupon with this place. Purchased and scheduled massage online through Groupon only to receive an email the next day that the time reserved is not available. I also had a Groupon for a gel pedicure which can not be scheduled through Groupon. So I called and left a message yesterday attempting to schedule pedicure. ICalled today and was placed on hold for a minute, and the manager advised that she will call me back after they clear the lobby of people they had. I got a call back an hour later to reschedule my massage but it was from a different person. She kindly explainedthat Groupon doesnt have the real availability of the actual establishment. So whatever time you book through Groupon is not guaranteed its just a request. I would need to go back on Groupon and reschedule. I asked the representative if that make since? If I am currently on the phone with you does it make sense for me to get off the phone and go back to the same platform that you say doesnt have your companys real time availability? The representative decided to escalate the call back to the manager who tried to reiterate the same thing. Then she offered to split up my facial and massage at different times as if she was doing me a favor. Bottom line the booking process was terrible. Use caution when purchasing Groupon for this place. You can only use one Groupon for your entire life at this establishment and keep in mind just because you book and receive a confirmation through Groupon does not mean that slot is truly available. Needless to say a refund from Groupon will be requested and I would never attempt to come here with or without Groupon.
Absolutely awful customer service. Do waste your time with this place. Hand and Stone is much more established and reliable. You can see in these reviews, where someone is just arguing with every negative review. No interest in fixing anything. Absolutely unreal.

I received a good basic massage. Nothing fancy. I wish she had been able to spend more time on my neck, hands and feet, but I confess I was a few minutes late for my appointment (a meeting at work ran a bit overtime). So, my 60 minute massage was actually less than 45 minutes.
I visited Back in March for my 22nd birthday. I had a weekend with my girls and decided to get massages. This place was amazing, the service was very professional and friendly. They have Waiting area where you go if you are with more than one person in your party. They even bought me cupcakes for my birthday, sang me Happy Birthday and took pictures. It was a wonderful experience. I honestly can not wait to go back for a massage and facial. I felt like a completely new person😁

Absolutely amazing business!!! Definitely 5 star service. I took my daughter with me here foe a 60 min massage as part of her bday getaway gift. We were welcomed at the door and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Everything was thoroughly explained over the phone before coming as far as what I need to do because my daughter was 17 and needed a waiver. Prices were given and did not change at the end like a lot of these places tend to do. So dont expect any sneaky stuff here. I asked for something extra and was told right away that there was an extra charge and asked if it was ok. Again very straightforward. We arrived 15 min before our appointment time as requested to fill out our forms and then were taken in right away after. Massages were super relaxing for us both. Best massage Ive had actually. It was the 1st for my daughter and she loved it as well. Super good massage place!! Keep up the great work guys. Well be seeing you the next time we are in the area. Thanks so much
I’ve gone twice once with a female (can’t remember her name) and most recently was massaged by John. The lady wasn’t horrible other then her climbing on the table and putting her knee into my back... John I would stay far away from I left in more discomfort then when going in. He did not even massage my back at all it was literally a light rub across my skin as if he was just trying to rub oil into my skin or wipe something off no sort of pressure at all. The bed was so uncomfortable my upper back/shoulder hurts now and my sciatic nerve feels pinched. It’s extremely cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. Not to mention my massage was supposed to be an hour and lasted 45 minutes. Two for two times do not recommend!!!!!!!
I was referred to this place from my best friend Yashira and I am soooo glad i went! Booked an appt with Stephannie for a mens facial and Jennifer for a deep tissue massage. They were both super nice, very professional, and you could tell they had many years experience. I would also like to point out how hard it is to find someone that does a very good job at deep tissue and i left extremely satisfied. Everything was spotless clean and is decorated super nice. I will definitely be back and definitely refer my own personal friends and clients to them. Very satisfied customer. 5 Stars!!

I booked a groupon couples massage as a birthday present. When I arrived, the woman at the front basically told me the massage I paid around $150 for was basically worthless, and she tried to up charge me. It was very embarrassing after giving a thoughtful gift.Besides that, the massage was decent. There was no champagne as there are at most massage places, there was no offer to shower or anything. Which was okay, but overall the experience left a bad taste in our mouths before it even started.

I recently booked a surprise couples massage for my husband for Fathers day. Our experience was amazing from from when we walked in to our massage. The facility is beautiful & the staff is amazing.. We will definitely be back.
I expressed concern over the hard pressure given during the relaxing massage more than a half a dozen times and couldnt take anymore pain so got up 10 minutes in, was still charged for the full hour. Didnt like that the massage bed head rest, it wouldnt move up and my chest was smooshed, probably why I couldnt get comfortable and the attendant was so rough. The 2 star was bc of the facial, the facial was good but couldnt relax after the rough massage .At check out they were still trying to get me to tip the masseuse guy, Dont think so! Wouldnt go back. **Update after owner response. My review is just that, a review of my experience, if I tell the masseuse that it hurts then the masseuse should ease up not keep applying hard pressure. Yes I was offered another service which of course wouldve been more $ and I was not going to get undressed again. I came into the building good but wasnt comfortable with the masseuse and thats what caused my review. I tipped $20 for the facial and tipped the staff for my guest as well. So again, my review is based my experience with masseuse and it wasnt a good experience.

Best new massage therapy spa in Clearwater! I had a 90 min session woth Ebony who has a 6th sense about the body, knowing where attention is needed. Her combination of massage with stretching provided the relief I needed from doing HIIT training workouts. She is my new go-to therapist from now on.
If you are looking for someone that can do a therapeutic deep massage, go to Nicholas. I have a lot of different issues and in just one session I could feel a difference. He has a wealth of knowledge and is not just your average therapist. I highly recommend him and will be back.

I purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute relaxation massage and facial. I wasnt expecting much but this was probably the best Groupon deal I have ever purchased. The place is beautifully decorated, clean and feels luxurious without a hefty price tag. My massage therapist is May, a nice Asian lady who did an amazing job. Ive had many massages and do prefer Asian massages because they apply more pressure using reflexology but I dont like going because they are usually sketchy, dirty places. So it was a pleasant surprise to find May and this was the best of both worlds. The aesthetician Stephannie did a great job for my first facial. She explained the problems with my skin and solutions. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to my friends.
I meet my besties in Clearwater every 6 months. We found this place and it will now be a regular for us Phoenix/Greensboro girls! Had our 2nd treatment today and again, the hospitality from the minute we walk in the door, the massage and everything- TOP NOTCH!!
I seriously don’t know why i kept giving this place chances and my money. Lol. Maybe how cheap it is but they try to upgrade you and to get more out of you then charge you more at the end when you’re finished. Honestly, I don’t know where they find their massage therapists and I completely get it if you’re new and everyone has to start somewhere but being in a field you love, you’d quickly feel that persons energy if they’re right to do this kind of work. Especially when you come to a place to relax, get the proper pampering and relax your mind. I mean this girl had no idea how to connect with the body and I could’ve really given myself the massage she gave me. It was really poor work. Every body part she spent like two seconds on and it really wasn’t relaxing for me at all, because she was almost rushing to get it over with. And that’s not pleasant at all. And also my husband had his massage too and he did not like it at all, I mean she was massaging where she shouldn’t be and missing all the tension parts of the body, they should retrain their massage therapists! Our facials were amazing, I give them both 10 stars! They’re amazing at what they do! My husband even fell asleep during his facial (he never falls asleep during a facial, lol) Their esthetician’s are definitely better, don’t spend your money on getting massages from here.
Today was my first experience recieving a massage and Jasmine was amazing and friendly. I am happy with her and planning to make massages a more often experience. I highly recommend Essentials Massage and their rooms are clean and relaxing.

Had an amazing delux couples massage and facial. The team made sure that my partner and I were well taken care of. They personalized each of our experiences with pressure, aromatherapy, and necessity (based on the condition of our skin). Both my oartner and I agreed that this was the best massages of our life!When they found out we were celebrating a birthday, the team pulled together and made a makeshift cupcake (a cute twinkie) and a candle! So thoughtful! We will definitely be back when visiting Clearwater again.

For my birthday my daughter booked me a therapeutic massage because I was experiencing discomfort and needed my IT band stretched. The masseuse said she did not know how to do IT band and that would be sports massage, which she couldnt do. She completed the massage but was not able to help me. The staff was very kind and gave me a birthday cupcake which was a nice touch.
I had an excellent masseuse who took very good care of me and even took extra time to release my pinched nerve. Only docked off a star bc my husband was not satisfied with his deep tissue massage from his masseuse.
Sharon is absolutely amazing!!! Deep tissue massage she is a miracle worker on my hard working body from bodybuilding and she was so sweet and knowledgeable! Highly recommend her!
Stephanie the esthetician gave me a wonderful massage. She really understood my energy and did a wonderful job on my skin. I really loved the experience and the spa is brand new and clean. I enjoyed the different textures in the treatment and Stephanie understood the sensitivity of my skin and was conscious of the pressure.

Purchased a special: massage, facial with glass of wine. Massage was great & professional. After massage was the facial. I was immediately told I have clogged pores & the facial I bought was just a massage & to do pores it would cost an extra $40! What? I said ok. Facial was mediocre and definitely not worth extra $40. When I was paying I asked the girl why facial would only be a massage & I was told to clean my pores was an extra $40.Their Response: “I don’t know?” I asked: is this normal? I’ve never ever had to pay an extra $40 for a facial?Again “I don’t know?”That is not a problem solving answer, nor is this professional. Would I go back? No. Didn’t even get the glass of wine nor was it offered.
Oh what a lovely experience ♥️ The massage was wonderful and they had me wait in a massage chair afterwards and brought me a çupcake with a candle and glass of wine for my birthday. It was absolutely amazing. Its so peaceful and clean. Thank you ladies 🥰

So I have had many massage through out my life and I know we all have to start somewhere but my massage was just awful! Getting a massage is suppose to be relaxing. There is flow to massaging someone. Your hand show never leave their body. Their body is not a race track for your had. There was just not rhyme or reason to the massage I received. It really felt like my massage therapist had no clue what she was doing. I asked a deep tissue and got a feather. I am currently laying on a heating pad because there was literally no relief to my massage. I guess you get what you pay for. I am sure there are great therapists that work there but I had horrible experience.
I have been going here for over a year now and I love this place! The second you walk in you feel relaxed. I have gotten facials, several massages including prenatal and each experience has been lovely.
At first, we absolutely loved this place and it’s services and still do. The facials we had were amazing and my partner and I, in two visits, have spent nearly $400.00. That is what makes this story so very sad. I had spoke to the manager about cryotherapy for under my chin. This area has become a problem area. I had asked the manager about the $99.00 special and explained what I would like to have done. He said because it was only under the chin he would honor the $99.00 dollar special and scheduled my appointment. Fast forward, I go for my consultation and explain and am quoted $199.00. I explained what was discussed and was told that was not included in the notes for the consultation and that it was only the facial price for $99.00. I would think the manager would have included this information so that the client would not feel so awkward. I asked for information before I made my decision. The woman was lovely and we chatted. I explained that I wanted to only target the saggy chin. I said I know that cryotherapy often does not work well on loose skin and results tend to be more effective on fat. I asked her to be sure she thinks it would work or if it was only loose skin under my chin. She did assure me there was fat and it would be effective. She did explain results would vary, but that I should see a tightening of the skin and that fat would be eliminated. Although displeased with the poor communication about price, it seemed legit and our other experiences were fantastic. I decided to go ahead and have the procedure. I sat through like a champ with absolutely no breaks to gain the most results. It was pretty uncomfortable because of how cold it was but I was excited to see the results. When we were done she had stated how firm and tight the skin looked and held up a mirror. I immediately thought I made a huge mistake. I work hard for the money I have and occasionally want to treat myself and my partner. I went home and waited because the results could take a week or two to show. Needless to say, there are no results and my chin actually looks more saggy than before I went for the procedure. I called to speak to the manager and tried to explain about the price quoted, the lack of results and how much we loved the spa. I explained I felt saddened by the lack of communication and that I saw no visible results. Instead or apologizing he combatted that he saw before and after pictures and there was a distinct difference. I do not have body dysmorphia and can clearly see, daily, that there is no enhancement. He continued as if I, the client, was to back down and listen to every statement. I even explained about the pricing with no resolve from him or apology. That was an internal error and made the exchange between client and professional extremely uncomfortable, as it should have been noted. I explained we wanted to continue at Essentials but felt bamboozled by the entire affair. He just kept insisting that results vary and it was my mistake that I could not see the results. He said look at the pictures she sent you. I explained I received no pictures and no follow up phone call about the service. He stated he would need to contact her about getting the pictures to me. I told him I could come in and he could clearly see the lack of result. I really just wanted an apology and a resolution, but he just kept insisting. He made me feel like I was seeing things and had no clear sense of myself. I am not holding any of the staff responsible because they are lovely and I enjoyed my time with them, but the poor communication and lack of respect from management is disheartening.

I was so much in need of a good relaxing massage the day I found Essentials Spa. I was a walk in and the manager met me at the door and they booked me an appointment with Yee within a couple hours. I have had massages in the past but I have to say, I think this may have been the best ever! Completely professional. Make an appointment and treat yourself!

This place is top notch! Proactive in connecting with me when they have specials. Great prices and the guy I had was very experienced. It was worth double what I paid for it! He got a super tip. I’m going to ask for him again. The guy who does acupressure!!! Yes!!!!
In the area on vacation and my husband scheduled an appointment days in advance for a 60 minute couples massage at 1pm. Michael called us the day before our scheduled appointment to tell us that the 1pm slot was not available and we could choose 12pm or 2pm instead. We chose 2pm. He then confirmed that he had us scheduled for 2pm and he would text us the address because the GPS results could be misleading. We never got a text with the address. It was already after 6pm at this time and as I stated before we are on vacation so we were busy with other activities. By the time we realized we never got a text it was late in the evening. So on the morning of our appointment we called to get the address. The young lady confirmed our appts at 2pm and gave us the address of 617 Lakeview Rd. A few minutes later she called back to tell us that 2pm was not available and we could choose a later time. Since we already had other events planned for the evening that wasn’t a viable option. Michael was put on the phone who told us that he didn’t confirm us for 2pm because we were supposed to call back. This was a blatant lie. He proceeded to argue that we never scheduled a 2pm appointment...that we only “requested” the time. I’m not sure how that was possible when we spoke to him directly and the 3 of us agreed to reschedule from 1pm to 2pm since our initial time slot had been given away. What was there to call back about? He confirmed us! The worst part of the ordeal was his attitude towards us. He basically called us liars about making the time change. His words were “you heard it your way and I heard it my way” and rushing us off the phone, never taking responsibility for his mistake. This is not how you handle patrons seeking your services. Shame on you, Michael.

I had a 90 minute therapeutic massage with DeAndra today and it was the best massage Ive ever had! She was thorough, great pressure, and used a variety of techniques that I had not experienced before. Highly recommend her.

I had Giovelli as my nail tech, and she did an amazing job. Outbeat my regular nail lady. She walked me thru the process and made sure I was comfortable. Really professional and on fleek with my shape and very patient with me because I take forever to pick out what I want. A great business that I recommend to anyone for self care purposes. Or even a good date night.
The spa is a little hidden and sometimes you just need a little hide away . The service was very welcoming and very good. Atmosphere was very pleasing and calm would recommend to anyone whos looking for a great massage away from the hustle and bustle.

The message I had at Essential Message was one of the best messages Ive ever had. Yi was my Messeuse she was beyond-beyond wonderful and May was my significant other Messeuse and he loved her and My sister had Jennifer who she said was beyond wonderful as well. Aubrey was helpful and professional from when we walked in up until we left. The professionalism and customer service over exceeded expectation and I strongly recommend this establishment.
