Had an amazing night watching Brass Metropolis! Got there 2 hours early, Parked in the lot and had dinner at Shooters, which is within walking distance. Was pleased there was an elevator to the second floor. Everyone was friendly; we got alcoholic beverages and they kept our water glasses full, which was nice. Staff were awesome and bathrooms clean and ample. Thank you Brass Metropolis for an amazing evening!
Hey guys, here we go!have been to an event on the 1st floor but never the concert hall. I won the tickets or otherwise might not have gone. I hadn’t viewed an event of interest until I saw this one! One man band tribute to Prince! And when I tell you it was a treat!!! The food service was a quick as ordering going to take a leak and food at table on your return..quick all until they forgot my Boo one item! The view and vibe on the patio is everything! Overall not a bad establishment to have a good evening of exciting fun!
Went for my employers Christmas in July party. The views and food were excellent. We had the venue to ourselves. They had a lovely buffet for us. Roasted Strip loin, risotto, mashed potatoes, 2 beautiful salads. The best Italian vinegarette and I am married to an Italian. The cabbage with the miso glaze was fabulous. The mini desserts were lovely. Loved the chocolate mousse cups and the strawberry cake. Only the lemon bars need a LOT more lemon punch. Overall I was very pleased and will definitely go back for their regular dinner.
It was my 1st visit and Reggae Sunday - Happy Hour. The place was perfect for this event. There was plenty of space around stage to dance. Food was hosted by IRIE and very good. The margaritas were premixed. So I ordered a shot of Patron to it. The band was good. The atmosphere was chilled. It was fun and I loved it! I hope they continue this event.
The food was actually pretty good. We went for the murder mystery. It was jam-packed. We felt like sardines packed in a can. Waitresses did a good job bringing food and drinks despite how busy they were. The murder mystery wasnt like a play. It was interactive but not in a good way, and it was very hard to hear some of it. Great location, though!
My 1st time & wont be my lastSaw Sons of Cream....What A Trip down Memory LaneFood was Delicious...Top Notch Attentive Wait Staff...You wont be looking for the waiter...they are keeping your water glass or other drinks comingIm glad I discovered this place...I know Ill be back...Im a Live Music Junkie...and they got lots of other shows lined up...all the way to NYE
Venue is hip & cool! Service is great. Easy to check in. Ushered to seats.Glad there was an elevator! (Im disabled...)Parking so-so... Pricey, as expected but limited.I kicked-off my 65th birthday WEEK with the EWF cover band. Show was awesome, better than expected!!Be aware that it is very tight seating.Get there when doors open so youll have plenty of time to order dinner/ drinks.Energy for a great time was high! Loved theres a dance floor! Carefree fun!!Will definitely do it again!!!
Parking is $ 10.00 . The service gets worse as it gets busy staffing issues. We had burgers that were VERY DRY. The tacos were not even filled. Dinner, dont eat here for dinner. For $25.00 per person you can eat much better at home before for the show. The show was very loud no matter where you sit.Hard pass for a next time.
Constant variety, great lineup...something for everyone. A few more headliners versus cover bands would be nice. Wish the parking didnt cost so much or that the cheaper options felt safer. Still a great place, we attend several times a year.
I bought tickets for a show and reserved a table as required. I did not order brunch in advance. I did not order brunch upon arrival because its appearance wasnt appetizing. I reserved a table for a party of 2 and was sat with another party of 2, who was equally PISSED to share a brunch table with strangers. No one at our table could see the performance. There were 6-12 open tables that we werent sat at, and we were only offered a different table after we got our bill. I would not reccomend the sunday brunch concert experience to anyone.
This was a GREAT venue. Intimate enough to where there are no bad seats, great artists, good service and food. I took my brother and father here for a late Fathers day celebration and we loved it. Good views of the wast Bank and clean. I will recommend seeing Rumors the Fleetwood Mac cover band if youre able-they were incredible. I will be returning!
A great venue for corporate gigs, large events, family reunions, or any kind of party or get-together. The second floor is the better location as it offers good views of the river and the surrounding area. Theres a large dance floor, a bar, and a DJ platform where a band can also perform. The catering company offers a large menu of salads, meats, and desserts.
Great time today for brunch. Food was delicious especially the brisket with roasted vegetables. Best I’ve ever had. Server was polite, and attentive. Performance was wonderful, Birds on the Wire. Engaged the audience with great music and style.
The food was very good as was the service. The drinks were generous. We saw a magician who was very good as well. The only problem was the stage was a bit too low to see him interact with people in the audience. The free parking lot the music box owns its tiny, but there is plenty of parking right next store at shooters for $10.
Irish brunch with the kilroys....music was good unfortunately it pretty much ended there. Six tickets were purchased in advance so that my wife, myself. Daughter son In law and two grandchildren could enjoy the day, and enjoy the band.On arrival at the venue, we were advised we were not able to sit together as we didnt have a reservation. . This was the whole purpose of the day.Approached and Spoke with two ladies at the front desk, one who told me I interrupted a task she was working. This was unproductive. When asked for the managers name and phone number, they had no idea of the chain of command.
I had so much fun!! They did a quick tribute to Kool and the Gang, then they gave the performance of a life time with a tribute to earth wind and fire!!! You couldnt help but DANCE!! The service was great and they had two vegan options for food.
The sunrise jones (the beatles cover band) was incredible, they put on an amazing show. however $30 for a brunch is far too expensive, especially considering the food was just mediocre cafeteria style food. it’s far too busy and crammed in there for the workers to even be able to come around and refill drinks or clear plates, which isn’t their fault. overall we paid $130 for two people to eat food and watch a show. i would absolutely come back for the live music because the venue is very unique and the tickets themselves were very reasonable, but i would never pay the money to eat here again. just a heads up i wish i knew beforehand.
Went here for a drag bingoWent here for a drag bingo. The Queens definitely made it a lot of fun. Although we were there for I think about 5 hours It felt like 2. Vicky the manager is awesome! I only gave 3 stars because I felt they were overpriced for the quality of the food and drinks they were serving. $12 for a week martini is not OK. Not sure if Ill ever go back.
We (4 people) visited the Music Box to celebrate a birthday and had a lovely time so we decided that we purchased tickets for Mothers Day. However, on the Friday before Mothers Day the Grandma of the group was in the hospital and another was very sick. We requested a refund or an exchange date but we were told there are policies set in place by the venue or the promoter and they must abide by those policies.I understand that there are polices and trust me we would have much preferred to be attending the Music Box on Mothers Day versus what we were doing. But not offering the opportunity to exchange the date really is not good customer service. We wont be returning.
A mix of stars here. The venue gets 4☆ , Dixon violin 4☆ , the food 1 ☆.The venue was a very nice intimate style. Theres parking and charge 10$ cash or card. They offer patio seating. No wheelchair accessible entrance, no wheelchair accessible seating, and no wheelchair accessible lavatory.Dixons violin was a nice surprise, personable and entertaining & engaging. The food was terrible. The burgers were cold with untoasted cafeteria style buns and no condiments and overly fried fries 18$The street style chicken tacos served with rice in the taco (never had a traditional street taco with rice inside) less than 2oz of chicken pieces mixed the zucchini (3 tacos) 18$.The ciabiatta chicken sandwich was again thin sliced (I will be generous and say it had 3oz of chicken), with overly fried fries 18$.Save your money, skip the food, and enjoy the show.As for the bevvies, they ran out of Christmas Ale, cocktails a bit overpriced.
My husband and I spent Labor Day Weekend in Cleveland and wanted to see a live music show. I booked tickets pretty far out and got an email a week before that they were going to be requiring vaccination or negative covid test results. Their website and email also said masks were required. Even if we didnt want to go at this point, they dont allow refunds. I had read reviews before booking the tickets and saw a lot of mixed reviews so I was nervous at what our experience would be.We arrived about an hour early so we could eat before the show started. Our food and drinks came out quickly and everything was pretty good. I would recommend coming and eating before the show as once the show starts the service tappers off quite a bit. Of course, you dont have to order food at all.Not many people wore masks, which didnt bother me, but the email did say they were required. The couple next to us complained that they automatically add a 20% gratuity fee - but we knew this before coming so we werent surprised to see it on our bill.I would go again, if we are ever in the area. The view from the dock was pretty!
Great supper club in a nice location. Pleasant decor, tasty food, and wonderful service. I would definitely visit again.
The show was very entertaining!! Not sure what was going on with the service but they were not at all prepared for a sold out show!! It took FOREVER to get a drink, one person in our party didnt have a drink for over 45 minutes and the server brought the wrong drink 3 times!! The kielbasa and peirogie app was phenomenal but the rest of the food was very subpar...I suggest eating before you come for a show!! As a venue though its a good place to see a show!!
Overall it wasnt a horrible experience, mostly because a few people didnt show up. They can pack you in pretty tight. We were up next to the stage, music wasnt overly loud, seemed to be mixed fairly well by the in house crew. But if you go see something popular, hope you like the people your next too.
Pleasant staff, although a bit scarce. The evening had a good vibe, the food was quick and good. Would go again!
The service sucked. We had to keep going to the bar to get more drinks because our waitress couldn’t be found. And one of the employees was in the men’s room talking on the phone about going out partying and again same employees still in the bathroom on the phone, talking dirty to his girlfriend. But the band was good
First time to this club. Saw an amazing show of Masters of Hawaii music. Got to meet 2 of the 3 talented musicians prior to the show. Server was attentive and food and drink came quickly. Sat at table and got to meet other ukulele players! Appreciated that there was no charge for parking.I would attend more event at this venue based on this experience,
We had an amazing dinning experience while ad the Music Box Supper Club. The Irish band we saw was amazing and very funny. The chicken dish with mashed potatoes was awesome. Our waitress was great and always on point. The views from the upstairs deck were amazing and a great framing of the downtown for images.
Came here for Reggae Sunday, a very enjoyable experience both times so far, and we definitely plan on returning.
If you’re over 60 with failing taste buds, prefer to remain seated for your concerts, especially at communal tables with other genarians, casually chewing the insipid gently warmed flatbreads you overpaid for while you listen… this might be the venue for you. Otherwise you might consider skipping Music Box Supper Club, unless it’s simply a *must-see* act. Amusingly, even the bands subtly poked fun at the scene.
This place was pretty cool. Of course, part of the coldness was the musical artist. Josh Ritter was amazing. But I have never been to this venue before and I would definitely go back. The food was very good. A bit pricey, at $18 or more for most things, but well made and tasty. We actually sat at the bar to wash the show and found it very enjoyable. For the most part the staff was excellent, at one point later in the evening we did ask a few of the bartenders if they could keep it down as they were chatting and laughing quite loudly amongst themselves during some of the quieter songs. All in all a great night.
Went to see Mike Polk talk about older Cleveland through pictures curated by the Cleveland Library. It was funny and thought provoking. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Burgers and drinks were great.
The entertainment was terrific. We thoroughly had a wonderful time. But the food left a lot to be desired and the drink prices were expensive. We were shocked when we got our bill at the beer and drink prices. The hamburgers were dry, overcooked and tasteless. Very disappointed.
I went to this restaurant in May 2023, and it was really amazing! The live performances were really good as the singers had great voices and the food was really good. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and the waiters were very respectful and kind.
This is a type of establishment that you eat because you came for the show. Our server was great and friendly, but the kitchen was slammed and a bit slow. Food was average. Nothing memorable, ambiance is the same if you see performance e at a restaurant.
Oh my gosh this place was beautiful!! The view was gorgeous and the interior was so elegant, I loved it! Easy access to parking and lots of bars withing walking distance. The drink selection was good and they serve food, although I did not order food. Came here to see a band play and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend. Great for date night, girls night out, drinks, and depending on the activities that day even kids will enjoy this venue.
First time going, lovely atmosphere, food was good, drinks were great, the entertainment was magnificent (Phillip-Michael Scales)...had a great time
The band was nice but the food wasnt very good. I did enjoy my time though. I thought the service was good.
Went a few weeks back and heard the Wallce Coleman band play and have brunch. Both were fantastic! A generous spread of good food and the music was awesome.
The live entertainment music and food was great. I enjoyed the lakefront view.I enjoyed dancing to Motown music. The Motown music group was great.
Great place to see a band. Too bad they never answer their phone. Also, they don’t give accurate start times for the artists. Apparently just door opening times.
Food awful, servers mean. Paid for a large group. Band was great , playing dance music , and staff got mad that high school kids were having fun and dancing and not being rude or arrogant at all. Go somewhere else
Nice crowd! The two things I dont like is a reservation means nothing! Its literally used for a body count. Second thing, they require you to use a cc to pre-authorize before ordering anything. However, there is no pre-warning or advisement of this!
Overall great experience seeing Sunrise Jones who were possibly the best Beatles cover band I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a bunch. This review is for the venue itself, which is a nice enough little theater with tables to eat at before a show. The only reason I took a star off is because I’ve heard through family and friends that the food here is not that good so I’ve always went elsewhere before the show.
First time there last night and was very impressed by the club. Parking was ample and easy access. Club was clean, well organized, hostess seated us promptly. The wait staff were the best part. They were friendly, fun, and right there when you needed them! Food was typical bar food but good. The scenery right on the river was a gorgeous bonus! We will definitely be back.
The Storyteller series is amazing! The food is fabulous and the staff is very pleasant and accommodating! I cant wait to visit again!
Went fir the mothers day brunch and Patsy Cline show. Absolutely loved it. Great food. Great service. Beautiful experience.
Was just there for a wedding. Great venue. Food was very good and you cant beat the deck on the river front.
This place is fantastic! Tons of different shows, good food, great service. The concert hall has a dance floor. You can watch and listen to the bands or you can dance the night away. We have been there many times and will be back many more times .
Nice place to see a show. Wait staff hustles and we have seen alot of different types of shows, some cover bands like the ones from The Carpenters to Tom Petty and a few original singers, like Crystal Bowersox. The buffet on Sunday didnt seem to be worth the money but the menu has a decent selection of food and it was good.
Seen many a show at the Music Box. Saw Dark Side of the Moon - The Pink Floyd Experience, and had a disturbing encounter.Fist off, the band was amazing! They never disappoint - even given the awkward confines of the Music Box, such as the minuscule stage, no room to dance, and the inability to have their background visuals and lazars. We chose to sit at a table toward the back far left of the stage - table #401 -of the only tables with some room around us to dance. The waitress for that section was visibly angry that we weren’t ordering dinner but were ordering water and drinks. She paused and looked at us, then told us she wouldn’t be serving us and that we could go get our own water and drinks at the bar! Although, several friends had tables scattered around the venue who we had dinner with earlier in the evening, whose wait staff didn’t have an issue with them not ordering dinner and served them beverages, happily. Her rudeness was beyond belief! I’m a nurse who walked at 3:30 am, for work. Dinner time for me is no later than 5pm and that’s when I was hungry. The show wasn’t until 8 PM. I would have probably ordered appetizers at some point, but her obvious anger and refusal to serve us prevented that! Then, when we were dancing by our table, in the meager open space - because, let’s face it, TMB are vampires when it comes to cramming more tables into a space than is humanly possible so as to eek out as much profit every square inch of real estate would allow - the wait staff, including Ms Rude, kept rushing past to serve others, barking, “excuse me!”, every time they pushed past us! At the break We all went to the restroom and coming back, our table had been cleared of full drinks! Ms Rude blamed the bussers, and told us to go tell the bartender the bussers took our beverages. Of course they needed confirmation from Ms Rude, whom they intercepted and inquired about this event. I don’t know what her problem was, but she should have just gone and made the correction herself, in the first place!
Shannon and the entire staff were amazing leading up to and during our wedding we had at Music Box on 9-1-17. From the decorations we dropped off and they set up the day of, to the attention all of the bridal party and guests received all night. Anything we needed it was there. At the end of the night we were worried about loading all of our decorations we brought into the van; no worries the staff at Music Box loaded them all up for us as we watched. Amazing Night, couldnt say enough about how perfect the day was and didnt hear one person say anything besides how perfect the venue, food and staff were. Thanks for making our day perfect!!
Very nice. We were there for a catered event. Great service. Fantastic views and an overall neat place
Cool little place. Sound was good, beer was more affordable than what Im used to. Will try to get back there again
Went to Music Box Supper Club for Raggae Sunday. I arrived about 4ish and the band was already jammin out! The band was fantastic 👏. The vibe was relaxed and fun with a diverse crowd. Free entry. Outdoor/patio seating available, but limited. Special food menu available. I ordered a Mai Thai (pre-made) for $7 it was tasty. I parked across the street at the Powerhouse lot for $3. I will definitely be going back this summer!
Great band to listen to and well done set! The Tom Petty tribute band has a 5 star rating! However, the food was hotel free breakfast level that we were charged $20 a person. Very disappointing for the first time and the level of service was very inconsistent and poor. There were favorite tables that were attended to by the “manager” and they received multiple plates and drinks promptly. We received our drinks that we ordered well after served our one plate as well as the orange juice that should have been there with the meal. We were billed close to $200 for the six of us for the meals not including the band ticket price. Bottom line, band is 5 star and the food service is a zero. I hope they straighten this out promptly as we would like to experience the venue as has been billed in the past!
The food is amazing! A great place to watch the sunset, eat, and have a few drinks!
I dont normally like this type of venue to see bands at but was truly surprised by how great this place is. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The table reservations didnt get made and it was entirely our fault but they took care of it like true professionals. The food and drinks were great and very reasonably priced for a dinner theater.
Always a great experience when we go here. The music brunch menus are very typical buffet menus, and the food is pretty good. Beware the ketchup posing as strawberry syrup next to the pancakes! The bloody mary bar has an excellent assortment of add ons. You can make a meal out of them. The service is always very good and the musical acts have always been fantastic.
This was my first time here and it was for a dinner story telling show. The location is nice, set on the Cuyahoga river with a good view of the Cleveland skyline. The building is clean, safe and decorated nicely inside and the staff was very helpful and quick to take our order and deliver everything we wanted with great follow up. We had no complaints about the location or service, very good in that regard. As for the food and drinks, that has much to be desired. The stuffed mushrooms and chopped salad were both very good and priced fairly for the portion size and quality, best food items of the night. As for the main dinner, well. This burger and fries had nothing over Wendys or Burger King for sure. I always enjoy a good burger, but this was not one of those times. It was very dry, lacking any type of flavor and served on a basic bun with a small mound of regular, unexciting French fries, lettuce, tomato and onion. I smothered it in ketchup to try and give it any type of life. We also had an order of the tacos and side of beans, all of which had the appearance and taste of store bought and put on a plate, no originality or flavor that kept you coming back for more. The drinks were a good variety to choose from and there were selections of beer, wine as well as full bar service. We had a selection of beers and they were good, but, that is someone elses beer in a glass provided by the restaurant, so you really cant go terribly wrong there.Bottom line, we had a burger and fries, mushroom appetizer and a chopped salad to share, taco plate and 5 beers - $103I can honestly say that this was NOT a place that has caught my eye of places to return to or recommend. For the cost and food quality I would have done much better going to a local bar. Clearly they feel the location is what makes the food and drinks worth the high price, but I see an overpriced location that most likely wont be around very long.
Nice views and fun experience. We went to a murder mystery and enjoyed the super and show. Our server Matt was great!
Me and my husband went there for the first time, it was our date night and we really had a great time seeing the Motown band in which they were very nice, the tickets were a good price, We turned around and went to purchase the earth wind and fire tickets for the following weekend which was a blast, havent purchase no food yet, but from what I can see some looks tasty, the drinks are pricey and small amounts so you can keep ordering them lol..but we had a good time and love the atmosphere
A great spot for live entertainment with surprising good food and service.
I have been coming here for many years. I’ve even been a VIP member in the past. It’s a great venue to see live music. The entertainment they have is very diverse and the sound quality top notch. Location is convenient, located near major highways and roads and the view next to the river, stunning. With all the positives, it saddens me that the service has gone downhill over the past year. No longer are there any familiar faces with the wait staff. There never seems to be enough people working the tables. The few that do can’t keep up with the number of tables they have. I was just at a sold out show in the concert room. Show was to start at 7 pm. We arrived at 6 pm. Our waitress finally came over to take our drink order at 6:20. No biggie, we knew it was busy. Also ordered food at that time. 10 mins later drinks arrived. Waitress seemed to vanish. Food from the kitchen was being run out to surrounding tables by runners. 7:40 pm we still didn’t have our food and the band was well into their set. We flagged a runner down who checked on our order and had it out within 5 mins. Still no waitress. Band took a break. Our drinks were long gone and I was just getting ready to go to the bar when the waitress appeared. She took our order for refills. No surprise, they never showed. We didn’t even have water which should have been brought as soon as we sat down. Getting close to the end of the show, our waitress appeared. When we told her we never got our drinks she looked surprised. Asked us to repeat what we wanted. I said I didn’t want to have to wait again for a drink and to never mind. She was kind enough to bring us some water fairly quickly. The show ended and we grabbed our coats but then realized we hadn’t gotten our bill yet. We only had to wait a few minutes for her to check us out fortunately. I hesitated to write this review as this has always been a favorite place of mine but we had a very similar situation the weekend before at one of their brunch shows. We had the same waitress and same issue with service or lack of. The only good thing was that since it was a buffet, we were able to get our own food. Management really needs to get a hold of this and fix it.
Great Billy Joel cover band brunch (52nd Street Stranger). Food was pretty good...music was great...company was fantastic...Thanks Jenn, Julie & Jodi!
Fun does not exist here. We were told to stop dancing and singing which killed the mood of our entire group. Such a shame.
The Music Box Supper Club was a very big disappointment in every aspect. There was a breakfast brunch being served and it might have been good if it were not for the fact that everything was cold.We had to ask multiple servers for a single cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice, because no one seemed to be taking care of are table. We finally got the drinks after about 20 minutes.Everyone was required to show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test and mask wearing was supposed to be required when not eating or drinking but that certainly was not happening. The tables are also extremely close, we had peoples butts practically sitting on our table as they tried to squeeze through to other tables. And I have heard better sound systems in high school auditoriums. On top of all this the place has nerve enough to add a 20 percent gratuity to cover employees wages.Upon leaving, not one of the 4 people sitting up front even bothered to say have a nice day
Show was amazing but the food was not good most of the items that were going to be there were not there and the food was cold
Saw Elton John tribute brunch. Food was just ok for the money. Elton John performer was not as enjoyable as Chardon Polka Band in December, which was a blast
The venue itself was nice. The server was awful never came back to take drink orders. The music was not as expected the group did not give a great tribute to Earth Wind and Fire. They were terrible I heard other tribute bands this band was bad
Terry Pluto was fun and informative. Music Box is an ideal venue. I had a burger overcooked and without flavor, whereas the fried ravioli was tasty.
They pack in people like sardines. The music was good. The food (Sunday brunch) was inedible and ice cold. Youre forced to buy it because of the music. Eat before or after and skip the food.
Saw a Bluegrass show and it was great! The brunch buffet was also great and had a good mix of food choices. The short ribs were fantastic and tender! The chicken was also excellent! Staff are very nice!
Came with friends who had tickets for a cover band doing A Tribute to Stevie Wonder.Let me put it this way, too loud, too close to the stage, the performers were like a garage band.I wouldnt have paid money to see this.
I cannot tell a lie, I love this place! I love live music and great food, and this place has it all. Last night we sat at the bar at The Rusty Anchor, which was perfect for viewing the show because we were seated higher than the people seated at tables. The service at the bar was excellent. The bartender makes a Crazy Good Manhattan, but they have a complete wine and beer list too. Whatever yourre in the mood for they have it. We like to share an entree, and they are always willing to split the dish without the extra charge like some other restaurants do.The Music Box also has Valet parking, which is not only convenient, but practical in the winter months. Did I mention the view yet, well its pretty Awesome as well. You can look across the river to The East Side Bank of the flats, snap a photo of a large cargo ship passing by, or take a selfie with our beautiful Detroit Superior Bridge in the background. Catching a Water Taxi is easy as it is just a few steps away.
Great way to enjoy Reggae music on a Sunday afternoon! What a great day 😀
Ive been here for all kinds of shows, trying to support this place. Ive been to a few brunches and they get worse every time. Why is it that the food at the brunches are never hot or at least warm? The french toast or pancakes are always cold. Glad they took away the 20% gratuity charge though. I usually tip pretty well (more than 20%) but if you tell me I have to tip a certain amount, thats all youre getting. The food at the concerts on Friday or Saturday night are not worth the price you pay. The flat breads are dry and hard and not worth the $16. If you see a concert in the supper club, you have to make a reservation but you cant select your seats. So if they put you right up against the stage to where you cant see the whole band and cant get good pictures, etc. you have to deal with it. So if you ordered your tickets early, you may have to sit right by the speakers.Lastly, those free concert tickets cards that they place on the table every show, do they ever call or reach out to anyone who fills those out? I filled those out at 3 different shows in 2022 and gave them to the ticket office or my server and nobody ever called me saying I won any tickets. So stop pushing that if youre going to dismiss them.
Long wait on food, then the order was not right. My boyfriend asked for salmon (from the menu) to be added to his vegetable stir fry. I ordered just veggie stir fry. He was brought a few slices of chicken instead, and charged and extra $8 for the chicken. (!!!) The meal was just ok. No great flavor. Rice with alittle veg and far too many mini 🌽 cobs. Meals are on the pricey side. Best thing of dinner was the house Grasshopper drink! Minty with just a little chocolate at the bottom - Delicious. Fortunately the entertainment was excellent. But the audience had to fight to focus due to the outrageously loud party going on in the adjacent room. Through glass doors the small partys noises at times drowned out the fiddle play and singing onstage.
Signed up for Music Box event emails. Received two free tickets for an event. Selected an event, a cover band brunch. We were seated but not a single server came by to say hi or get our order for drinks. In fact, the servers were walking by waiting on other guests and didn’t even acknowledge my table. We sat there for 15 min being ignored until we finally left. Won’t be going back or referring anyone to this place. Terrible service and experience.
We really enjoyed our night out here. Atmosphere is nice but youre really packed in tight. Food and service were incredibly good. We saw The Diamond Project Band ( Neil Diamond tribute band ) Highly recomend Music Box Supper Club for an evening out.
Tickets were reasonably priced for Dueling pianos. However food and drinks WAY overpriced and food quality not good at all. Menu also sucks. If we go there again, well eat elsewhere!
I attended a wedding here with live entertainment. I did not catch the name of the name of the band, but they were good and played a great variety of music that kept the party going. The venue served good spirits, excellent appetizers and a well cooked meal. The dinner servings were a tad stingy, so keep taking the appetizers that they offer before the meal.😜
Great view great service food was good.
Come for the music NOT the food or service. Have attended 3 shows here. Two Peter Mayer shows and Mac McAnally, the shows themselves have been great. As others have mentioned there really is not a bad seat in the house and the sound is great. For me that is where it ends. All three experiences have had very poor food and the service has been mediocre at best. Last night (7/20 Peter Mayer) I had to get up from the table and go find our waitress 2 separate times as we had no drinks and had not seen her in over 30 minutes... not just at our table, had not seen her on the floor at all waiting on other tables. I had to get other service team members to go get her and even that took a fair amount of time. At this point I will only ever return for the music. There is no point in showing up early to eat unless you care for cold food or a Philly Ciabatta sandwich that comes with one slice of fatty steak that covers 1/4 of the bun at best. For an $18 sandwich I would hope to have more than a bun to eat. Again, come for the music but I would pass on the food and expect the service to be mediocre. I dont expect service to be to the level of a restaurant that does nothing but food and no music... but IMO there is A LOT of room for improvement here.
Great venue! Always enjoy going to this club.🙂
Reserved a table for 14 for my birthday. Website says advance tickets or pay at the door. We opted to pay at door but it was sold out. Even with reservations we were denied in. Nobody calls you back. The don’t care. Never will I go there.
Im inevitably somewhat disappointed when a show I want to see is at this venue. As a performance space its ok, provided you are seated close to the performer, but it can be awkward to be seated at a table with a bunch of strangers. The views of the river are nice. Both performance spaces are clean--no sticky floors. From the performers side of things, the backstage areas are apparently modern and comfortable. Artists usually come out afterward to sign merch, etc, so it has a nice informal vibe.As for the Supper Club part of the name, the food here is so bad and so overpriced it borders on criminal. DO NOT EAT HERE! Even the cheapest appetizers cost more than a meal at most other places--they literally charge $11 for potato chips or $9 for deviled eggs. Everything else is $18 for tasteless, cold food. I usually have managed to avoid eating here, but once I had no time to do so, and would up getting a chicken sandwich. The chicken was cold despite being so overcooked as to be charred. There was no sauce or any sort of flavor whatsoever, and the bottom of the bun was soggy. It tasted like it had been pre-cooked and then left sitting out for hours, which seems like a recipe for food poisoning. Fortunately I didnt get sick, but I wouldnt risk it a second time. Save your money--eat before you come here.
The singer was Great! However we sat there for over 2 hours and not one waitress/waiter asked if we needed or wanted anything. The only way that we got service is because we had to grab a waitress. I am not sure if I would ever return.
Went to see Robyn Hitchcock for my first visit to Music Box, and his performance was delightful. As a venue, Music Box is wonderful - the performance hall is fairly large but still feels very intimate, and the acoustics are excellent. My only complaint would be that, being a supper club, the conversations between wait staff and tables do occasionally rise to interfere with the performance. It would be great if they could find some way to work around this, but in any case, I will definitely attend future events here.
With supper club in the name I was expecting a better menu. Five kinds of burgers & a chickens sandwich. With fries or chips. Thats lunch! The burger was large and juicy tho. Great band!
We hosted our wedding at Music Box Supper Club (MBSC) in August 2023! From the moment we toured the location, we knew this was the venue for us. Booking the second floor allowed our guests to take advantage of the indoor and outdoor features. Our guests raved about the quality of the food and bar service, keeping the party going all night long!Amidst our planning process, we had difficulty with staff turnover and consistent communication. This unfortunately did shake our confidence until a new coordinator was hired. Their staff made it evident they were willing to address our concerns and make the day a success! We have endless praise for the event staff who worked tirelessly to ensure the event is successful. We had the fortunate opportunity to work with Event Manager, Marissa, who really made our experience at MBSC tremendous with her support!
Had a great time watching the Chardon Polka Band! Very fun. Would have given a 5 star had the food been hot and a little more flavorful.
Very good food I had salmon my husband had a hamburger it was very delicious the prices werent bad in the entertainment was amazing
Awesome venue. Foods ok but great venue for concerts. They present a nice mix of music acts and other offerings. Plus a nice view if the river.
Food cold, salad lettuce wilted, servers pleasant but manager very rude, she needs to go to customer service training.
First time visitor to this magical facility on the River.I brought my Aunt and Cousin, and opted in for the Brunch option, which was absolutely fantastic. The Brunch is a buffet, with an abundance of both breakfast and lunch options, all delicious and served at the appropriate temperatures. The Facility was easy to find, with parking directly in front of the building as well as a lot next store just a few steps away.We enjoyed the Best Elvis Tribute Artist that I have ever seen, and I have seen a bunch. Johnny Elvis is spot on with his voice and moves, working his way through the audience like a master. The Band was superb, with the sound and energy of superstars, so impressed with this group.Thank you Music Box Supper Club, Johnny Elvis and The Crowns for a fantastic experience. We will certainly return!
Great place for concertsThe food was not so great
This visit was in the upstairs section which allows for better physical distancing. Unfortunately, during this pandemic no buffett is allowed. However, they have a menu from which you can choose. The first order is a full portion and every order thereafter is half portions. The pineapple mimosa was perfect. The waiter, although not rude, was not as attentive as I would have expected. The band was good.
Was here for a wedding reception. The venue was very nice, and the food was excellent. Really liked to see that the majority of their show menus include a vegan option! I hope they keep that up.
It smells like old peoples fartsYep I said it. So, they need to install more auto air fresher spraying devices.
Came to see Sawyer. Good venue for concerts. Food is good. Nothing spectacular.
The Concert room is a lovely venue!!A good place to hear live music Only if the person in charge of the sound engineer is knowledgable....The evening that we were there, the E.Q. was awful....sadly, we left early. The food was overpriced for the quality and the drink prices are insanely expensive.Prepare yourself....
Love the shows there but completely disappointed with food and service. Upon sitting down or server informed us that the 20% gratuity charge was no longer being added, however she then stated that meant the she was no longer making a liveable wage. I usually tip 30% so this statement started the night off as a charity case. From there the menu options were not good and ended up with getting 22 dollar salads that were the worst. Old lettuce, no dressing, overcooked chicken bits. Ive had better salads from a gas station for a quarter of the price At the end of the night, total for 3 people was 175 bucks for the worst meal. Will plan to eat before the next show. If youre staff is getting an unliveable wage, maybe you should make your food edible to ensure people will want to come back and support them.
Went for a show and dinner with my fiancée last night, and although the show was great, the food and service was not. Was served cold, hard fries and sub par sandwiches and drinks. Expected better for the price. I am also a career server/bartender (25 years) and was disappointed that our server took it upon themselves to add 20% gratuity to our bill without mention, something that isn’t allowed in Ohio. We would have still gladly tipped them appropriately (20-25%) and in cash but apparently they wanted to be sure they got theirs. Very unprofessional. Would recommend seeing a show here, would NOT recommend eating here or keeping a tab at the bar. Incorrect items, overcharged, and added 20% gratuity. Unacceptable!
We went for the first time to see Dixon perform. The food prices were exorbitant and the food was poorly prepared. Salmon came out raw. Steak tasted like it was frozen for a while. Fries were luke-warm. One order was completely wrong. Our party was really disappointed by the overall experience. Wait staff was accommodating and apologetic and the restaurant comped part of our meal, but I probably wouldnt go back based on the prices alone. If youre going to charge top dollar, it had better be otherworldly.
WOW!!, Thats all I can say. First time here and it was amazing. The evening started with Alyssa our waitress greeting us, recommending drinks and apps to start the night then taking care of us throughout. We let her pick our dessert the tiramasu (So good). Prima Jr. Was the band he was excellent. If you have a chance get down and check this place out you wont be sorry. For an extra treat, ask for Alyssa.
Saw the Brass Metropolis (Chicago tribute band). Great show!! Great, friendly service. I love going there!
We had a good time here and really enjoyed the venue and show. The tables for dining are ‘family style’ so there’s a decent chance you could be sitting with strangers. We got lucky because there was one remaining small table for two which was nice. We were not impressed with the food. It was mediocre at best, which is extra disappointing with the price of the food.
The venue is ok but they crammed to many tables in. the Service is bad bad !!!! Food is good nothing to right home about
Attentive bartenders and really good food. Went here for a work function and had a nice time. The views from the patio are so pretty, particularly of downtown Cleveland and also the lake. Even better at nighttime.
Absolutely love this venue! Beautiful setting and great music. We decided to come early to eat dinner and enjoy a warm summer evening. What a huge disappointment....I ordered the perch dinner which consisted of 3 tiny overcooked morsels of fish and a serving of fries for $31.00 . My husband ordered the stuffed peppers. Hilarious to see 1 lonely little banana pepper on the dish. We left hungry after spending about $100. My advice? Come see a show but eat before you go!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue!! It is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! The inside is spacious and well kept, the boardwalk opens to incredible views of the city skyline, the flats and the Cuyahoga River. Ricky and his team went above and beyond to help us on our wedding day. They made communication and the planning process sooo easy. The food was excellent, the drink menu was super impressive, and the staff were so incredibly kind and helpful!! If you are looking for an all inclusive, spectacular venue, THIS IS IT!!!
Nice place - not much for the food, but for music and performances. Food is not bad either, but choices are very limited. Service is excellent - fast and not intrusive (this is appreciated during performance)
I went to see Chardon Polka at a holiday brunch. The band was terrific and their show was a lot of fun but the brunch was awful. They say it is $25 but then they tack on a 20% service charge which does not go to the servers, it goes to the owners as additional profit. We got there early and were first in line for the food and it was already completely cold. The selection of food was odd and it was all cold. Wont make that mistake again.
Went with a big group for Drag Bingo. Had a blast from the dinner to the games and show. Made for a fun girls night. Service and food was great and menu had some descent options as well for both food and drinks.
Eat before you go…I would absolutely loved to give this place five stars… it’s so awesome for seeing cover bands, grabbing some drinks, and just hanging out.But their overpriced food will disappoint you in ways you never thought were possible. With the price, you will think you’re going to get a gourmet meal. Next thing you know you just paid for something that you’d get at a one star fast food restaurant with excellent wait staff. If this place worked on their food they could be incredible.
Good music. Food wise hamburgers very dry and no taste. Should have chips and salsa, peanuts, popcorn or something to munch on. People would buy more drinks if they did. Will be back for the music but not for food.
Never a disappointment when we visit. Music is great, sound system is outstanding. The food is incredible, get the short rib. It matches anything at even the best resturaunts in town. Most impressive us the staff. They are friendly, attentive, and really hustle. You can tell they love their jobs and are treated well. We especially like Sophie, she just exudes fun and energy. We always expect a fun evening out, and have never been disappointed in either the supper club or the concert hall.
1st visit was very nice. Food menu was limited but tasty. Prices are reasonable. I enjoyed the venue. Highly recommended.
The prices are unreasonable. $18 for five deviled eggs. They were good but not that good. Small menu, and most things are $18. I asked for a side of fries and our server said they dont do that. Five minutes later the lady next to me got a side of fries. I told my server and he said she wasnt supposed to do that, but he got me a small side of fries.
The entertainment was great and the brunch buffet was good. The value is certainly reasonable. A little tight on space, but that is a consistent condition in my experience with supper/brunch entertainment venues. Service was as good as one can get in the current post Covid restaurant environment - took a bit for some bar orders, but eventually the drinks arrived. Would go again with no hesitation.
The food is terrible, and I am not a picky person. Tiny portions of really poor quality dishes that are insanely expensive, served cold. And so disappointing because the menu looks FABULOUS! Youll have better luck at McDonalds or a school cafeteria, and thats not an exaggeration. Zero stars on the food (we ate from the Concert Hall menu). However, the venue itself is great, the service is fantastic and friendly. Go for the entertainment and atmosphere! Just eat somewhere (anywhere!!) else first!
So I won two tickets to a magic show. Great. Then friends purchased 2.I made dinner reservations for 4. Confirmed. We get there the night of and were told the event sold out so any won tickets needed to forfeit and choose another event. They asked if I got the email about the cancelation. Nope. But I did get a text half hour before arriving that my reservation was confirmed, anyhow they did end up seating us, seats were in the back. Couldntsee the stage well. Somehow our bill was over 300. $10 to park. The menu is unimpressive, the drinks are over priced, my friend ordered lobster mac n cheese and couldnt find one piece of lobster, I had a basic black bean burger and that was $18. The event was basically a guy telling jokes with a deck of cards. I know that they were busy and we were grateful to be seated, but I won tickets, my friends bought 2, and I had a reservation! Our server sucked, waited 30 minutes for water.. and they take 20% for gratuity whether you like it or not. Other than the view whichis quitebeautifulfor cleveland, it was a terrible experience. Dont give away tickets if you dont plan to deal with you give them to. Make a better menu, your prices are unreasonable. This is DT cleveland not LA or NYC. I hate to leave bad reviews but this kinda stood out.
Wont be returning.I paid $60 at a charity raffle for 6 tickets to the MBSC. Spoke with an employee on the phone who confirmed that I would be able to split that 6 tickets into 2 shows for both of our mothers. When I got there on Mothers Day for the first show, the employee at the front desk said sorry, you can only use these at one show. I told him that someone had confirmed I could use them at 2 shows and he said oh that was me, sorry, I made a mistake without offering anything to fix it. I wasnt going to make a scene so I just said ok and we went to enjoy the show. Had I known, I would have used all 6 tickets at once.We also had a rude server who charged us $20+ for 3 coffees. Not many menu options other than a full buffet and we couldnt even drink the coffee because the singer of the band was spraying sweat droplets all over our table, which was butted right up to the stage.I was really excited to visit this venue but after this experience I am pretty disappointed.
I just went to my first event here and all I can say is that I wish I would come sooner. The food and drinks were good and the opportunity to hear music in such an intimate setting is an unbeatable experience. A true hidden jewel of Cleveland.
What a delightful venue for dinner and live musical performances! Nice ambience and great view at the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. The café menu seemed limited, but offered interesting and delicious options for both dinner and dessert. Our waitress, Kylie was cheerful, helpful, engaging, and resourceful. We drove a couple hundred miles to see Jesca Hoop, the main performer, and it was made doubly worth the trip by the lovely atmosphere, as well as the more-than-ample warm-up act supplied by the wonderful duo of Gracie & Rachel. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return, even though Cleveland is a pretty fair hike from Mount Clemens, Michigan!
Nice Venue. Show was great. I will be back.
Been there multiple times. Shows are great and reasonably priced. I also like that they build in a service charge to pay their staff fairly.Only gripe is the food. It’s a bit on the pricey side and inconsistent. Upstairs the Cuban sandwich is amazing, but the fries must have been frozen for years. Gumbo was good but far too salty.Downstairs the short rib is outstanding. But $31 for short rib, 5 green beans and a small pile of mashed potatoes is robbery. Also the “stuffed banana peppers” is a singular banana pepper for $17. It was very good, but tiny for an appetizer.
Was there for the Charlie Brown Christmas jazz show downstairs. The show was good not what I expected but good and educational. The food and drinks were too expensive and how do you run out of Christmas ale 3 days before Christmas when the brewery is a stones throw away? Not good. My shrimp and grits were sad to say the least. Very small portions for the cost and polenta, not grits. If you have shrimp and grits on the menu, serve grits. Our server was polite and came bck often. Take off the added 20 percent tip. Not a good idea and it just makes people upset.
Went to the Erick Robertson concert had a blast great experience
This is an awesome little club. Perfect for a concert with an intimate feeling. The sound is amazing. Theres really not a bad seat. Very friendly staff. Nice size bar with lots of drink options. The appetizers and food were very delicious. Nice location plenty of parking.
Loved it! Food was good, service was good, the sound was perfect. We will be back again
Crazy to see how much this place has gone downhill recently.Over 40 health violations?Gross.
Food is overpriced. Burgers inky served one temple, medium to medwell. Fries were not even close to being fresh. 20% service charge added to bill which we were not informed of. Saw it once we got our bill.
Music Box hosted among the worst events I have ever attended.I cannot recall a single instance in which I have complained about the service of a bar or restaurant, either publicly or to the staff. Sometimes service is more attentive; sometimes it is less so--thats a fact of life, and usually everybody is trying their best to provide a good experience. Not so at Music Box. I attended an event with around 250 people. I was served at the bar twice. The first time, I waited around 30 minutes. The second time, I waited well over 45 minutes. The bare majority of my time was spent standing at the bar. Knowing the hosts (and the price), I am certain that Music Box was aware of the number of people. Yet there were only three bartenders during most of the event. People stood at every inch of the bar, and there was no rhyme or reason to service. Once Music Box realized that many guests were standing for a better part of an hour, they could have organized people into lines, but instead the event was chaos, with people standing at every inch of the bar in desperation. The bar even declared that no mixed cocktails would be served--I cannot imagine how much slower it would have been if they had provided a true bar experience. The bar should have been properly staffed in preparation for the event, and the venue should have adapted to serve patrons in an orderly fashion. Instead, I, and my fellow attendees, spent nearly the entire event standing at the bar. I was served twice. If you are planning an important event at which you want you guests to mingle and enjoy themselves, I could not more strongly recommend against Music Box. I would not host an event here if it were free--I would rather my guests spend an evening at home than have them attend an event here. I hardly saw my fellow attendees out of fear that should I divert my attention I would lose my once-an-hour chance to get a single drink. (Of course, I do not blame the hosts of the event that I attended, who could not possibly have predicted the collapse in service and organization at this venue.)
I absolutely love going to see a show at the Music Box. They have amazing entertainers from around the globe as well as local acts. The venue itself is clean. The sound is crystal clear. The owners just take the absolute best care of this venue. There are other clubs in Cleveland and they kind of all cater to the younger crowd with late start times, multiple opening acts, and just kind of a we want to be the CBGBs of Cleveland kind of vibe.Music Box proves you still can rock and actually take care of your property. I guess there is a time and place for the graffiti walled bathrooms with no stalls on the doors, but I dont know, something about having a nice bottle of wine and chilling in a comfortable place is kind of homey these days. They still have the Pabst and Hi-life if you want to party like a rock star too.The food is great too. I come for the music but I know anything I order from the kitchen is going to be top notch as well. Brunch or dinner they have you covered. Oh yeah, servers are always attentive, fast and friendly.
