I visited Spa Castle in 2016, and it was an unforgettable experience! The variety of pools, saunas, and relaxation areas provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The facilities were immaculate, and the ambiance was incredibly serene, making it easy to unwind and rejuvenate. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Im thrilled to see that Spa Castle is back, and I cant wait to visit again and enjoy all the wonderful amenities they offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in a day of pampering and relaxation!
Updated & revised review:Ok its good news that the outdoor pools have reopened, but still at what cost? As always, the so called Greek style is so poorly done and just takes away all the fun and relaxation of this place that many of us knew back then. Spa Castle has been my favorite since 2016, but things have changed.I agree that they charge way too much just to enter like why is the spa so greedy? $85 is the price of 2 people for weekdays and $110 for 2 on weekends (keep in mind that they charge taxes which makes the pricing so much worse). Go back to the $40 and $50 please because the new pricing is very stupid and just causes more stress. Kids should not be allowed either because this is a spa, not a public pool or funhouse. Dont mandate slippers or allow the lifeguards to wear their street shoes inside (as Ive been hearing from others) since this is very unsanitary and not hygenic. No wonder why the health inspectors shut this place down to begin with (and it will likely happen again with lifeguards wearing street shoes inside and the spa allowing kids). The pricing is basically another way to say that only rich people are allowed, like that 2 part episode of Hotel Hell where Gordon Ramsey went to visit Juniper Hill Inn where the owner was living in an RV and overcharging guests for a nice looking but messy hotel. Thats the same case with Spa Castle, where the new owners are behaving in a similar way. Chef Ramsey really needs to go here and experience the same issues that us loyal customers are having and then talk to the owners. I would for sure show up to a gathering if one is hosted during an episode covering this place. If no one goes in and speaks up, then this place is definetly doomed and is in extreme danger of shutting down. I hope that doesnt happen but if Spa Castle is going to continue to behave like this, theres nothing I can do.March 2023 was the last time I came here and will likely be the final if things remain corrupt as it is now. Here are some old pictures of the good old spa (before the new renovation ruined it all):
I was thrilled to return to Spa Castle in Queens after their renovation, but unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. Despite my excitement, I was disappointed to find that:- Some facilities, like the rooftop pool, were closed without clear notice on their website (the notification was in tiny letters).- The staff was not as friendly as I had expected.- The tanning area had been downgraded from comfortable beds to mere chairs, and people were smoking excessively.- The steam room was frequently interrupted by staff, releasing all the heat that we want to feel.To top it off, theyre charging $85 just to access the sauna and Jacuzzi. I felt like I was in a restrictive environment, constantly being monitored and interrupted. I felt I was in jail.Overall, Im extremely disappointed and wont be recommending Spa Castle to anyone. I dont plan on returning either.I wish I can give zero stars. Don’t come here don’t waste your money. And there are children’s running a lot. And if you’re planning to have a really nice nap. That is not gonna happen because when people buy food, they give them a small device that beeps. When The food is ready. Imagine all these devices beeping constantly, and me trying to get a really nice nap and that never happened. Very disappointed.
I honestly love the place, but the price increase is sky high. I used to go there with my friends and family. But since the remodeling they have abused the entrance prices too much. They have a low rating of 3 stars. They should consider mediating a reasonable price…
Spa Castle was my favorite place. I have been here a few times with my family before the pandemic. Spa Castle has now reopened. I was disappointed with everything. Not only are outdoor swimming pools not open, but most facilities are currently closed. Moreover, there was no one to clean the floor, so it became very dirty. Additionally, there are no hair dryers, shorts, or body lotions. The water in the hot tub is not hot. It looks completely different from the good old Spa Castle. Dont come here thinking about that time.Dont come here. Dont waste $120 per person. I dont know why the prices here are so high.
Beautiful establishment. services were impeccable. However, There should be a certain days and hours for when children are allowed. My time was filled with children swimming in the pools which is not allowed. This is not a community pool. This is a spa! People are supposed to be relaxing. Children were yelling, running and playing. Parents were drinking and not tending to their children which is a liability. The staff had to stop the children from swimming several times and their parents did not intervene. If you want a real experience go during the day or a weekday. Weekends were ghetto!
Absolutely great facility. Friendly staff. Brought my eight year old son here, and for an older, calm kid, it is better than a trip to Disney Land. Good food. Highly recommend the burger. Korean food was decent; not spicy enough for my liking, but there is arguably something wrong with me. We loved the massage pools, color therapy, and salt room. My son didnt want to leave!
I haven’t been here since 2014 and I can’t wait to go back but this time it’s different not friends but with my fiancé. I’m a little upset with the closing hours. All the amenities and facilities looked amazing. I know some changes are under renovations, they should be a little more considerate with understanding people do work late and can’t make it or if they do they won’t have much time to enjoy. I also read a review where they don’t have enough staff so it’s not as sanitary as how it use to be. But I’ll wait and see from my experience after 11 years.
Love the redesign. Went on a Saturday and wasnt too packed except for the halo sauna. Also got a massage which was amazing. Food was good and not too overpriced. Definitely would come back every so often
Great heated pool with so many different jets to hit different parts of the body. Also the hot and cold hot tubs in the changing/shower rooms. There were saunas but the cold sauna was not working. Unfortunately this place is not keeping up with the upkeep. Alot of the jets were not working at the pool, stones and tiles have fallen off and not replaced. But we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves.
Nice Place but staff are not helpful. I left my id in robe I called immediately after leaving lines were close. Called at 10:02 am immediately after they opened to inform that i left my identification which i need to fly back home in my robe. First i was told that every night the facility sends the robes back to original manufacturer that they wouldn’t be back in facily. She took my information and said a manger will call waited 5 hours still no call. I called and was told that’s is not accurate that they do have robes and we’re not able to find it. Very disappointed i just want to go home.
We came here over the holiday weekend and had a great time. Clean and you feel relaxed instantly. The food is now to order and not buffet style and I miss the buffet option! Other than that a really well spent relaxing day!
Overall family friendly (expect to see kids there-for those that does not like kids.) They really emphasize on “NO PDA” 😂 whole bunch of signs around the facility.Went there during the summer. I don’t know how the fall and winter works over there.I wouldn’t recommend for those that are looking for a couple getaway. But they have affordable prices which is nice.Prices were $60 for the weekend and $50 for the weekdays. The drinks were pricy but good overall. They had nice saunas that gives you different types of therapeutic aromas and vibe.
I was worried I was going to hate it because they actively actively allow children in- like the actually have a price for children that I feel they are actively trying to mislead people because that is not on the site. Yes they say children are welcome but not that they have a set price for the ones that arent free.Anyway the spa was nice for the price I paid. It was not a lot to do which was okay for me because I sleep when relaxed but not for anyone who gets stir crazy.I wont be returning because there appears to be many better spas- some that are closer to me- to go to.
I visited Spa Castle on 7/14/24 and it was a terrible experience. I wouldnt even recommend it to my worst enemy. The hospitality and cleanliness were 0 out of 5 stars. The only nice experience during my stay was the valet parking and the check-in receptionist. I was given shoes that didnt fit and that werent clean. When I asked for an exchange, I was told no. The targeted therapy session happens in the cafeteria. You pay $95 to be sat on a chair in the loud cafeteria. The food and drinks are subpar and questionable. The atmosphere is not Spa-like, its more like a lounge with kids. I’m confused and concerned that parents werent offered a different shower location if they came with children. Children are being exposed to naked adults. The pool was not clean and there were multiple hair balls and questionable items floating in the water. The lifeguards had no care for the children acting out of control in the water. It was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience. Do not waste your money here. Better spas for less in Manhattan/Westchester
Spa Castle was my favorite place. I have been here a few times with my family before the pandemic. Spa Castle has now reopened. I was disappointed with everything. No are outdoor swimming pools thats disappointing
I went to spa castle with my boyfriend in June and we got a couples massage that was AMAZING but super overpriced. It was $400 in total for 60 mins. The pool wasnt open yet when I went but the indoor pool and hot tub was DISGUSTING. There were so many kids and it just ruined my experience because I thought it was adults only. Me and my boyfriend are bigger people and he came out of the mens locker room without his robe with his bathing suit ON and the spa castle staff was basically yelling at him to put on a robe, and we saw everyone else walking in their bathing suits.Food is overpriced. I probably wouldnt go here again. Go to another spa. Also the pool in the womens locker room is nude ONLY. For all the money I spent there I wanted to use everything I could. 3/10 not going back. If your trying to have a calm spa day this is not it because there were so many kids.
First time back since reopening. Haven’t been there for years (BOH and Covid). Here are my thoughts on “new” Spa Castle:Went on a weekday, not crowded. “Lifeguards” at the indoor pools are probably a good idea even though the water is 3 feet deep.Who came up with the remodel? The entire place is now bright white with a garish blue trim that looks like kindergarten fingerpaint. It is neither a) stylish or b) soothing. It is on everything. All of the wacky details that made Spa Castle so endearing are gone. Starting downstairs, the multicolor lighting in the downstairs men/women area has been replaced by bright white lights. The T shirts and shorts have been replaced by robes. Which means women have to wear bathing suits instead in the saunas upstairs. Nothing worse than spandex/nylon on your skin when you are sweating in a sauna.Upstairs, the Willy Wonka-esque sauna alley has been repainted with that awful generic white and blue. The salt sauna has been enlarged and replaces the loess sauna. It’s probably good since the salt sauna was always crowded. But when I laid down I almost screamed–the ceiling (which used to be made of salt) has been replaced with wall-to-wall mirror. On the ceiling! Not exactly calming. Whose idea was that?! And the loess sauna is gone! It was the best and most authentic sauna there, with its high heat, dark lighting and wonderful Korean drawings on the walls. Why? Who is the audience they are catering to? I’m sure Korean people miss it, but so do I.Continuing upstairs, one of the most beautiful features of Spa Castle, the giant 2-story wooden door, has been completely painted that awful blue. And what a job–they covered all the metal hardware, the rivets, hinges, just everything, with bright blue paint. It looks like the paint job a landlord would do to get a cheap apartment ready for the next tenant. I looked out the window (the outdoor pools were opening the next day) and the hinoki bath (another favorite) had been covered by a blue dome that would fit in perfectly on Mykonos. This is a Korean spa? There used to be nothing more relaxing than being in the hinoki outside on a winter day looking through the gazebo at the sky and watching snow fall. Now, it will be like lying in a hot igloo.I spoke to another longtime customer who had one word to describe it all. “Bland.” And indeed it is. It’s not authentic Korean anymore (like King), and neither is it a high end spa (like Soju) Basically, it is neither here nor there. At much higher prices. Who decided to get rid of all the features that made Spa Castle unique?I tried the restaurant upstairs and found the sizzling seafood tofu soup I always got had been replaced by a tofu soup that was, yes, bland too.All in all, the giddy joy we always had going to Spa Castle is gone. Would i go back? Not that often, but probably, just for the scrub from Joyce, who is incredible (I thought no one was as good as Gina, but she is!) Also, no more traditional black bathing suits for the scrubbers. It’s as if they are wiping out everything that made Spa Castle a Korean spa. If I want a fancy spa, Spa Castle is not that. If I want a Korean spa, it is not that either. Identity crisis much? So, Spa Castle, good luck. And maybe have a conversation with whomever spearheaded this redesign. Because it’s a bland bust.
The spa is not too clean the setup is not very relaxing . But most importantly is the service and the staff. Horrible service. They gave me a towel that looks like from someone’s house. Red with blue fish. Not spa like environment . The robes are thin and get wet easily than you walk around in a wet robe in a room with AC freezing and they refuse to exchange it. I wouldn’t recommend this place !! QC NY spa on governors island or Sojo spa in NJ is much much better especially the service !!! Don’t waist your money !!
Spa castle is an amazing one! Self care is very important, on any day it would be recommended to pause and relax at Spa castle! It offers a wide range of amenities where you can spend within your means based on your option. It has four floors including a restaurant. I had gone on a Sunday morning where it was not crowded. The cleanliness of this place cannot be emphasized enough and the staffs are accommodating. The massaging services is one of the best one I had received so far!
ATTENTION MANAGEMENT!! YIKESI don’t even know where to begin. I rarely leave bad reviews and my Partner and I have been to many spas regularly.1) Inside the spa, most employees don’t offer help. (front desk was nice) Most employees are rude and do not say excuse me or respond to Thank you. Instead they act like you’re in their way. Most of the time they’re all grouped hanging out and talking anyway. That is if 3 of them aren’t repetitively mopping the same staircase (which you need to use!)2) Many of the customers are Ratchet and need to be quiet. Not scream and play rap music loudly. Especially in the saunas. They’re for quiet time and healing. Not unsolicited concerts. A Policy regarding this must be enforced to some degree.3) Someone who was in charge of the valet meddled with my car. Moved stuff from the back seat to the trunk, popped the trunk and screwed with the car headlight dimmer for some reason. I didn’t even notice my trunk was popped open until I got home. Did someone take it for a joyride? I noticed that it was moved more than once.4) I don’t know who the guy was in front at the end of the day. But he looked like a manager. His response to me saying bye and Thankyou was nothing. Not OK.5) My Girlfriend got kicked out of the women’s only pool in the locker room because she didn’t feel comfortable being naked. She was told Be naked or leave. Yet the men’s only locker room pool says on both doors “clothing optional”. Why make women get naked but let men have optional? Kinda weird. I have been to spas in Berlin, even there, in a country where Nudity is socially acceptable in any places, naked is optional. You can’t force someone to remove their clothes. You’re not the Terminator. If nothing changes then Maybe new management is needed and maybe it’s not a spa Castle. More like a spa lunchroom hangout. The good news is the food was good and the saunas are definitely cool. But the outdoor pools were still closed.
So this “remodeling” they did was painting the entire place white and blue… nothing changed, in my opinion it’s old and they did a landlord special. they replaced one sauna which was the one with the giant wooden doors (the best one they had). the pools/tubs are exactly the same as they were years ago. they now have lifeguards (who sit on their phones in the gender separated nude tub areas in the locker rooms) which is pretty unacceptable while people are bathing and showering there. the outdoor pools/area is also closed but i think they plan on reopening them. i got in with a 50$ groupon normally like 85$ and it still was not worth my time i literally left after like an hour and a half of being there.
This was a great place when they opened many years ago, even though they renovated and reopened six months ago I was disappointed. Price for admission is higher. The scrub and massage service inside the womens area is not as good as it was. They charge more but provide less. Mediocre at best. I can get a better body massage in my neighborhood for half the price. I also was disappointed with the heat levels of the saunas. Not hot enough in most areas.
They redid the whole spa to look like Mykonos. The saunas are still great as usual, but the outdoor pools are closed until further notice. Apparently, they’re unable to get the permit to have an outdoor pool. I wish they could just open the patio more so in the summer we can sun bathe outside. The food there is decent. Mostly Korean food and fried pork or chicken with rice.
Soft reopening today ! All Spa Castle facility has been updated! Everything that is open today is running and working 100% !The place looks bright and neat, all saunas and resting rooms got new designs, I was happy to see familiar staff faces and they were very welcoming and happy to be working . The outdoors pool is still not running, but there are signs before you check in explaining that! The Spa now also offers rentals of towel, robe and slides so if you didn’t bring it, you don’t essentially have to purchase, you can just scan the bracelet so you’re sure to return it before you leave . All the updated sauna look really nice. I’m looking forward to when they open the outdoors, but overall my experience today was excellent !
Worst experience EVER. Michael at the front desk scans our groupon pass and then proceeds to tell us the outdoor pools are closed. I asked to speak to a manager to see if we can get a credit because we literally drove an hour and a half for the outdoor pools. Michael shakes his head no. We ask if we can get a voucher for a drink or something for the inconvenience and everyone just ignores us. Absolutely the worst customer experience ever. They won’t even let you sit outside to sun bathe. Literally no one cared to help make us feel better about the situation. I would never come here again.
Recently renovated. They now give you a large and small towel and a pair of slippers. But they also raised prices. The outdoor area was still closed for renovations so its not that worth it now. Also parking is now $10.
Screaming kids being allowed to be loud, dive, and splash in the pools ruined our experience. Spas are for relaxation, but spa castle lets parents treat it like a playground. Also the outdoor section is closed so why are they charging full price? The indoor pools are 2 feet and we were still stared at by lifeguards the whole time. I understand they are there for safety, but the way they were staring made us uncomfortable. As if they were waiting for us to do something wrong.Either stop allowing kids to ruin the vibe of this place or have a kids only pool. We spent hundreds of dollars to go there to relax and had to listen to peoples kids scream the whole time.
I went there on July 8 and this spot was very disgusting. They gave dirty slippers. The food wasn’t until 11. The faculty was very unfriendly. then they only had a small space for indoor pool when the outdoor pool is closed wasted of day and wasted money I do not recommend nobody to come to spa Castle I would not be coming back.
Last visit was on a Monday!Stuff was very unfriendly. I went inside one of the sauna rooms and when I came back out my towel was gone and I went to the front desk and they refused to give me a towel, which I thought was ridiculous, the lady told me “you were supposed to be responsible”. Honestly terrible experience at this place. I had visited before the renovation did not have any complaints. Food is also trash, I paid extra for their shrimp, it looked very yummy but as I tried it was soggy and salty, I literally threw the whole thing out. Then we decided to get some desert & by 3pm they did not have anything else besides smoothies and Bobba tea. Costumer service - 0 food was terrible and the pools upstairs (outdoor) closed. Won’t be coming back, will definitely not recommend any one to visit this facility. Very disappointed with my experience
I got there at about 7:15 PM thinking that they still close at 12 midnight and the guy wanted to charge me $65 for an hour and a half not happening. He told me that the top level of the spa castle was under renovation and it would not be finished until 15 August so I will go back after that but I will not pay $65. I’d rather just go to Groupon and get a $40 ticket and go, so I left because I was gonna pay him $65 for hour and a half. I just not gonna happen.
Don’t waste your money here. This is no longer a traditional Korean spa. People get to wear swimwear in the wet area, completely against all traditional Korean spa experiences. Nudity should not be optional in the wet area, that’s the point of a Korean spa. You also have lifeguards on cell phones making you feel like their taking pictures of you. Apparently the guards can keep their dirty, disgusting shoes on in the wet area. Gross. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Terribly disappointed with spa castle. I was here several years ago and had the most wonderful experience and was excited to go back. I called yesterday to see if they reopened after the renovations and if everything was back to regular and they woman on the phone said yes. We come today and only the Indoor pools are in use! Apparently they need approval to reopen the outdoor section after the renovations. That takes away from half of it and we traveled far! This was incredibly inconsiderate! We turned right back around and did not go! This was very rude and not nice to be upfront! Shame on you spa castle!
Prices are too high even though it’s very beautiful. can’t really enjoy the hot tubs and Sauna because they got 2 life guard for 2 ft of water just staring watching your every move. Used to love it here but I think today will be my last time
Homophobic security monitoring my swimsuit and making comments. Credit card machine not working so everyone has to write down cc details on paper and huge delay at checkout. All food closed at 8pm- I had nothing to eat. Outdoor pools were closed too so just felt like a ripoff. Tips and taxes are tacked on at the end. Not coming back ever.
Плохое качество обслуживания , контроль , как в тюрьме , шаг вправо , шаг влево - расстрел на месте . Бассейн на улице был закрыт . А внутри очень сильное воняло хлоркой, невозможно было находиться на втором этаже . Оставались только парилки и общая баня .(Translated by Google)Poor quality of service, control like in a prison, step to the right, step to the left - execution on the spot. The outdoor pool was closed. And inside there was a very strong smell of bleach; it was impossible to be on the second floor. All that remained were the steam rooms and the general bathhouse.
Groupon experience for a Luxury price. $85pp because the outdoor pools were closed. $140pp for the cheapest 50 minute massage and that didn’t even offer a discount on admission. Food was very meh and overpriced but that’s to be expected at these places. The staff were nice enough to warn us that the saunas and hot tubs are not as hot as they used to be. It feels like they lowered the temps to appeal to a wider* audience. The new paint and flooring make it look generic and boring. It feels a lot less Korean in the worst way. The staff was very kind and hospitable but everything else fell very short. I DO NOT recommend. Don’t waste your money.P.S: The positive reviews from the last few weeks might actually be from bots.
I’ve been visiting for several years, despite the awful reviews, and have enjoyed myself, until now. The entry fee is much higher, and on my last visit more than half of the jet machines weren’t working including at least 6 stations with exposed wires in the water, which made it a bit hard to relax to say the least. The bar pool had a panty liner floating in it and smelled faintly of mold and the other was murky and smelled so bad I instantly exited and wanted a shower. There was also a creepy dude following my friend and I around. I spoke to the manager and he thanked me for my opinion. If you’re going to spend this much money, might as well go to a nicer place like Bathhouse where you can still actually get a massage. No refunds in case you were wondering.***EDIT: my friend now has pink eye.
So I went there on Friday it was closed for renovations the renovation that they did was not all that for them to jack up the price the food was trash they have a bunch of unnecessary rules and a lot of young life guards who don’t speak English and was rude for you to pay so much to go in and not have a good meal it’s not worth it bar tender was rude also the part that I like was my expensive massage the lady was very nice I’ve been going there for over five years and the new change is not worth the money you pay to go in it’s way too expensive now almost $500 for me and my 3 kids and end up paying almost $400 inside 👎
So, I have been wanting to go to Spa Castle for a few years, I previously heard great things, unfortunately I only looked at the stars an did not read the reviews! Had I done so, I would not have gone. Spa makes you think relaxing, unwind, treatment, definitely the words, kids, gymboree, playground do NOT enter the mind. The amenities where OK, but the children running around, screaming, splashing in the pool like its Splish Splash is very not only annoying, but peace disturbing! I hope they take heed from all the reviews about nakedness around small children , about how there should maybe be special times for children or days. A screaming child literally cleared out a whole section on adults!
Got sick off the chicken sandwich... the jets dont work properly either too much or not enough pressure and not all the jets work properly... drinks were too watered down.. and actually didnt see where the renovations took place other than a slap of paint a d a couple of new furnishing... but I was happy to see that it cleaned up a lot of the smut that was taking place there before... but overall was not significantly impressed
The media has painted this place in a bad light, but when you actually see it for what it is, its a fantastic place. Preferably you should be comfortable with walking around naked, at least briefly, because you will have to in the locker room. There are tons of saunas, heated pools, hot tubs, and sleeping rooms. Food is OK.Overall a fantastic place to spend a relaxing day. Make sure you get the Groupon deal when it pops up.
Save yourself the trip and paying close to WorldSpa prices for a lackluster experience. Not only is half of the facility closed after their “reopening”, but the water is cold (and dirty). There are children screaming, running and splashing around like it is a community pool with scantily dressed adults around them. I have seen body parts that I do not need to see. It’s weird, it’s tacky and not enjoyable whatsoever. Save your money in this economy.
Was great but the prices on the menus are not accurate (was charged more than what’s stated) and when i pointed it out they just said sorry 🤷🏻♀️ which ?? I already thought the prices were high for what you’re getting but then to see them charge even more than that I was like bruh, so just heads up everybody. Also, arguably illegal to post different prices then what you charge people :/
This spa castle was very clean, respectful, kind, and helpful. me and my family always go here and since the last time i would say this space improved very much. this spa deserves 5 stars and recommended to visit because i know i definitely will visit again. 😊😊
I used to come here all the time in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014. I moved out of the state and have now come back to this place in 2024. I used to LOVE spa castle. Wow, what an absolute dump in 2024. The whole greek aesthetic is poorly done. If you are goign to do that, you really need to go all the way... and potentially hire a greek person to help with the aesthetic. It used to have this beautiful asian feng shui about it. They now have this bizarre fluorescent harsh lighting everywhere. It is quite the opposite of relaxation. Please change it BACK the way it used to be. I also happen to be visiting when the outdoor pools are closed and still getting charged the same. Finally, I go to order a parfait bowl. Guess what, no freaking Peanut Butter. Do yourself a favor, and go to literally any other spa for a relaxing comfortable experience. This is a $20 day experience that they are overcharging for. Good luck, hope you make changes or close down soon.
I like the pools, are very relaxing. I suggest you to go around 10:30 AM because after 12 pm it gets pack especially on weekends. If you want to reserve a massage, get prepare with money because it is pricey....Also it will be nice if they provide you with slippers because I dont like to be barefoot especially when you have to go to the bathroom, even that they are clean.
If you are looking for a clean, relaxing and gender inclusive spa experience, do NOT go to spa castle! 1.The pools were not clean I saw several floating particles including different varieties of hair and an unidentified fuzz ball. There was brown stain on my towel. 2. People were playing loud music/shows on their phones inside the pools and saunas. 3. I was rudely told to remove my bathing suit or leave the womens pool area. Please note: the mens area was clothing optional- why the disparity, the woman have to be naked but the men have a choice? Sexism in 2024? Who is the management?
Price raised insanely what in the h…. Last time i was there it was right before pandemic and the entrance price was $45 now is $80 😨 im in shock
Where to start: The new pricing is ridiculous. If I were to guess, new management came in and decided this was an opportunity to make more $ if they renovate a little and brand it right. But the truth is, almost everything about it pre-Covid was MUCH better than what it is now. The color (they’ve gone sterile/hospital white here), the lighting (also very awfully white/fluorescent), the price, the food, the guests. Everything that matters. It’s just lost its relaxing appeal to me personally. They’ve even made Friday one of the expensive weekend days when it used to be a week day and that was the day I used to go. Don’t think I’ll be going here anymore unfortunately. Not worth it. Took all the good out and made it more expensive? Yikes. Literally feels like one of the few places I enjoyed going to once a month here in NY as a means of self care was changed without consideration of its patrons and doubled (actually maybe even more than doubled) in price. Talk about bad/greedy management :/ Creators of original the original Spa Castle would probably be as disappointed as I am.
The overall experience of this spa is good. But the time that we went. The outdoor pool was closed I give it a 3 stars. Services and everything else was decent.
Kids shouldn’t be allowed to any spa. I am paying my fees to have a relaxing day when kids are screaming, crying, running around, the hydro massage pools are not to be playing at. I went with my boyfriend to get a massage after the sauna and these kids and parents were out of control. Make this spa a a real spa only for adults.
Update: visited the FULLY reopened Spa Castle with a Groupon. This is NOT a relaxing Spa by any definition. Intense bright lighting, mirrored sauna ceilings, saunas remodeled so that opening the door results in a tornado of cold air rushing in. The hottest sauna, located where the Loess sauna previously was, is now sea salt but it’s only 130 degrees. It also has an annoying persistent fan rattle that takes away from whatever serenity existed there. Outdoor pools used to be 110 degrees are now lukewarm. Sauna outside is at 79 degrees. Robes aren’t of the thick terry spa type. Here they are reminiscent of what the radiologist gives you to wear while you are waiting for an MRI. In fact, the whole place feels institutional like a medical facility. No robe exchanges or towel exchanges either but you do get one big and one small towel. On the plus side the lockers and shoe lockers are all new and the layout has changed a bit. The ground floor gender segregated baths which got what looks like a cheap “bath fitter re-do”, are now “clothing optional” so most people just walk in in their sweaty swimwear and enter the baths immediately without showering. Hygiene is pretty much ignored by patrons here. Now that the outside pools are open two lifeguards are assigned to the ground floor gender segregated areas. They both sit outside the doors and guard the water cooler. Every 5 minutes like clockwork they enter the bath area and open the steam room door to make sure no one drowned in there. Every 10 minutes the security guard treks through the same area and enters and stays in the steam room for over a minute. There are water coolers on each floor. M-Th the entry fee is $85. F-S it’s $115. Even with a Groupon it’s not worth it. Those prices are comparable to the Edgewater facility but that’s all that’s comparable. And you can get everything except the out door pools at a facility in Flushing for 1/2 or 1/3 the price (they charge the same everyday). I left with a headache from the bright lights. Checking out is now a two step process so allow ample time. This facility was originally “Asian Inspired” but there weren’t any Asian clientele at all when I visited. That says something.
The food was good and the flavor was there but the service from that one waitress was terrible she was not nice to us and also gave me a hot beer!! and she knew that the beer was hot but she still served it to me
This place was great! A little off the beaten path but so worth it once you get there. There are plenty of pools and hot tubs as well as saunas for you to spend your day. The message services are a little pricey, as is the food, but very good quality. I took my mom for mothers day and she really enjoyed herself. Very clean place and strict with following rules.
First time going here. Its a cool place to relax for the price as there is not much to do. There are a few sanatas and hot tubs. Some of the other hot tubs were outside but to cold for that. The drinks were expensive and not worth the price.l order a small pina coloda it looked watery. It was so small for $14. My friend got something else and he said it taste horrible and like medicine. His was $22 I believe. Then there massages and other things are so overpriced. My friend thought about the massage but online said 30 minutes for $93 and change was ridiculous. I also read that the 30 minutes included prep time. There was also a life guard which I thought was a lady just sitting there. She had on a denium jacket i think with blue jeans and a sneakers. My friend happened to see the little life guard shirt under her jacket. If something did happen she would jump in the tub fully cloth or would go in with her sneakers? She was there also on her phone so I thought she was a customer. I also thought why would a customer dress like that in a spa until we realize who she was. A guy was swimming and the bartender had to tell him not to. This is when she got off her phone and picked up a few empty cups.
Took my sister for her birthday, it was a huge disappointment - tldr; broken down / hazardous, no free drinking water (even w massage), wouldn’t recommend. Alcohol? Strong, Halloween cocktails & a mediocre massage were the only plus of the visit. Food? 89 cent cup-of-soup ramen sold for $5. Water? Not even a small cup after spending $200 on a spa package or with a purchased cocktail. What spa doesn’t provide water?! Options to hydrate were $4 bottles or the bathroom sink - Purposely using Covid to charge for bottled water by disabling water fountains “temporarily” … however face masks weren’t required and everyone had to have proof of vaccination to enter so clearly it’s just about making more money. Facilities were falling apart, the saunas were dirty, stained & broken (example, the “ice” room was 70, dripping and smelling of mold/mildew), floors cracked & tripping hazard (a woman fell hard and got very hurt during our visit from wet floors, bc shoes and sandals aren’t allowed) pool jets didn’t work & the ac was broken in the spa so the therapist had to bring in a fan to make the massage bearable. Wouldn’t recommend.
It was an ok place. Crowded even on a rainy day. The pools were very warm which was nice however I ended up getting sick and I got a throat infection after accidentally opening my mouth in the water. I have been sick for a week now. The locker rooms are ok! They have free hair dryers and lotion but thats about it so, bring your own hairbrush and toiletries. Also, the ice room smells really bad. Other than that the saunas were ok! Most of them were packed but you manage to squeeze in. Also, bring shorts because they don’t let you walk around the dining area with pants so bring shorts. The food is very overpriced as well which doesn’t really make sense in my opinion. If admission is already a bit expensive, why should the food be? Other than that, I had a fun experience. Probably won’t be coming back because I got sick so yeah.
Wish the water was warmer like it use to but overall the place was relaxing love the new look.
The whole outdoor pool area was closed for renovation, screaming kids and crying babies no matter where you go, and people even brought kids into the quiet room! What an unpleasant experience. I left feeling more stressed than before I went there. I will not be returning.
I love this place as it is a great relaxing spa. The staff is great, their prices are fair. They always have groupon deals also.Occasionally you see people that are loud or drunk or a lot of kids running around so avoid this place on the weekends. I recommend going during the week. Its peaceful and quite.
This isnt good, this spa is going to shut itself down. Closed for months and opens back up and the card machine is down, and no atm to pay because they only accept cash payments. I paid a toll to come here and now have to go back home. Im done with spa castle seriously, theres a million other awesome spas without this headache.
Personally, I didnt like the idea of having kids in a spa where adults are drinking and trying to relax. My highlight was the amazing targeted foot massages!
We went on a Monday, so it wasn’t too crowded. It was all right, nothing spectacular about it.Bring identification for admission.I did like the fact that there’s a van that takes you to and from the Spa Castle from The One Hotel. You have to store your shoes in the shoe area before entering going to the lockers, but there’s no real visible signs that remind you to do so, so a bunch of people step way into the locker rooms with their shoes on, dirt. The people cleaning and mopping the floors have their shoes on, so I don’t know how clean that is...There are saunas, jacuzzis, and a little fitness room upstairs which was cool. There’s no place to store your phones when you go in the sauna so leave those devices in your locker and pick it up after you enjoy the saunas. Also, remember to bring your own towels if you decide to go into the jacuzzi cause it’s $4 for each rented towel. You can also rent bathing suits from them for $5 each.
Maybe after they finish remodeling the outside spa its too expensive for only indoor stuff lately. When its fully working it can be a nice place to relax indoors or outdoors together!
Great experience!!! Everything from a relaxing room to a what they call a sauna valley . Both in & outdoor pools were heated spacious and very clean. As far as the food is concerned they offered everything from sushi to hot wings and some sort of a salad bar . Overall a nice experience especially considering the price point . A great way to spend some time with your family .
If you are looking for a little R and R, Spa Castle has many amenities to help achieve that feeling. This was my first time going on a weekday, which I would recommend if you want a smaller crowd and less noise. I say as much as I loved this place I was kind of saddened to find out that the Iceland Sauna was closed and there was some type of construction going on in which you can hear very loud banging from the room I was getting my facial done and in one of the common relax areas. Last thing I was a little uneasy about was by the time I was leaving and walking to my car in the garage over 15 different construction workers were just lounging around by their cars and as a female and with it being close to dark (5pm) I didn’t feel comfortable or safe alone so I was on the phone until I made it to my car. I say this to say I hope there are cameras in the garage for safety concerns. (side note/plus is parking was free but no elevators lead inside the building. You will have to walk down the garage ramps until you get back to the entrance.) I still would go back and would have rated spa castle a little higher if it weren’t for those concerns previously mentioned.
Seemed like an inspiring place for pleasure, comfort, excitement, and fun time given the incredible CONCEPT by whomever DREAM to engineer & architect such a multidimensional activity. Surely, the think tank mindset of the person’s MISSION was to create a little Getaway within the New York City a desirable amenity of comforts to give you that sensational relief with soothing feelings, snack times, and drinks. Mind Body Soul needs convenient refuge in NYC without going away on faraway vacation which this small scale at least tried to offer some sparks of wondrous intrigue! Aside from some of the liberal trivial critiques, surely the owner manager’s intentions were candidly to a sincerely include a motive to imagine such a spring & summer comfort spa! Sometimes I wish places like this found sponsored venture capitalists to offer more compatible lovely weekend getaway concepts as this in most boroughs where some are for INDOORS & OUTDOORS extravagance for natives that also increase TOURISM in areas that are feasible for development by larger vacations sponsors given support to venues with types of allurement like these. Hope the best for these investors whose dreams were trampled by the COVID & Economic financial tsunami wrecking innocent business enterprise!
Its a nice spot with many things to do. Only thing thats stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the amount of kids that are here. If youre planning on coming here as a family thing then thats great you guys will have a nice time, but if youre looking for something quiet this is not the place. Food is good compared to other spas I have been to, but overpriced. I highly recommend everyone to check the Groupon app, you will save a substantial amount of money.
Weekends at Spa Castle is for having fun and getting close with strangers. Weekdays is more for some relaxing time with yourself or some romantic time with your significant other. Check Groupon which usually has some good deals every now and then on Spa Castle in Queens, NY. With the entrance fee, you can enjoy all the indoor & outdoor pools, Jacuzzis, sleeping rooms, saunas and more. Food & drinks are a bit pricey. But if you plan to stay here from opening to close then you might need to spend some cash. Overall, beautiful place, enormous and so much fun!
This fabulous family entertainment center franchise features three stores of fancy, fun pools, jacuzzis, saunas, water massage, night light shows and sunset views at the pool, dining, and other relaxation facilities, indoor and outdoor, - all in the midst of the City life, in Yonkers NY. Street parking was ok, too. We thoroughly plan for the entire day, or at least 4 hours venture to enjoy this place. And the Spa delivers - fantastic, relaxing family fun, every time we visit. Very affordable prices, and we recently received a cool promotion through groupon, too. Thank you, Team!
Charged $85 for a 6 year old because he wasn’t shorter than 3 feet. Security and staff was nice aside from the rude girl at the front desk.
I been in this spa in past few times but didnt go recently. On Friday was my son had birthday (11,) and he want to go. I took my mom who visiting from Israel and we go. At the front desk as we go in I had a problem and the lady in front desk was so rude. She didnt even say sorry I cant help you she had a very nasty aditute and I wouldnt let a person like this working even one day in front desk. Any way its all start wrong. After an hour nice lady ask if I need help in said no. But my son say go try explain what happen. And she did help. She had amazing smile and very calm voice. Even if she would not solve my problem her attitude was so nice and so different from the nasty girl in front desk. Im very thankful to this lady named Jungmi I wish everyone have a smile like this and be welcoming. Now few details: the place was clean and nice! The pools out side perfect (some of the stuff dont work like if you have 4 chairs only 2 will work). Their is kids at the place! Even babies. They used to give uniform to walk inside now no more. Towels that they give small so bring your on!We personally eat waffeks and creps and it was delishes!! And great price. So in general I recommend to go there as couple or group of friends or family with kids fits all.I do hope I never see this lady in front desk because she is the reason I give 4 starts I even want to give 3
Used to be a GREAT Korean spa, but now its trash and seems to be different owners. The service greatly declined, no longer offers the great food, prices went up with quality of goods declined, and rules are enforced only on some people. They need to state its no longer a Korean spa! And how rude is it to scream at customers that there is no flip flops allowed and as soon as you come upstairs half of the visitors have them on (none spa castle ones, just slippers and flip flops)Put aside the built in items such as baths and saunas, its completely different experience and def NOT for the better.Loved the open exposed electrical wiring outside the hot tub! Safety first right...
This place is great. We bought a groupon ticket which was $40, the regular price is $50 per person. When we arrived they were having a sale for $30 on weekends, $25 on weekdays so definitely check with them or on groupon for a cheaper price. There are lots of different sauna rooms and jet pools. You pay extra for a massage, which is kinda pricey and you can probably find cheaper rates in flushing. The locker rooms were very nice. We came on a Saturday and it wasnt that crowded.
A great place to spend time with family. They did a great job with renovations.Looking forward to the new pool opening)
Overall this place was amazing. For the cost of admission, you get to use the pools, whirlpools, saunas and theres a kid area. I did the body scrub which was AMAZING!! The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is for 2 reasons. 1- the directions for the parking garage is VERY confusing. You have to turn down the dead end right after Spa Castle and voila, there it is (your welcome) and 2- they do not give any instructions after you pay. We had no clue where to go or what to do. We ended in the nude part unknowingly 😳😳 but thats also where the body scrub was, which again, we didnt know where to go or how to book a slot. If they provide instructions it would be great. Overall will definitely be back!!
Very clean in the men’s area, coed area can be dirty at times in the jet pools since you have way more people there and lots of kids. For men you get unlimited towels, BUT only 1 uniform, if you want a new one you will need to pay $2.They have a variety of saunas from really hot at 176 degrees to an ice one at 46 degrees. Some saunas have a clock so you can keep track of your time there which is very nice as you should never take your phone with you🤨. The pools on the top floor are clean and well kept.Getting to the spa if you do not drive can be a hassle. The shuttle can get crowded and you could potentially be left without a seat since many people are line skippers.Food is great, but as with any spa it is overpriced since you can’t really go anywhere to eat.If you hate crowds avoid weekends as it gets super crowded.
It was good to use on weekdays. There werent many visitors, the bathroom was spacious and dry, and the steam sauna was comfortable. Everyone has different tastes when it comes to meals, so I try not to eat them all the time.
Had a great time! Took the ultimate package and not regretting it.Tips:If you take the ultimate detox pack, go for the body scrub first, then facial, massage last so the lotion and everything stays on your body in the end.Do the saunas and all the pool/anything with water first before taking the packs. Its summer so its crowded! You kinda have to deal with that dilemma + kids everywhere. I feel like this place is more for adults than kids though. If they want to keep it for kids, they should have more activities for them.Be ready to spend $$ because taking any extra service will ask for that tip in the end. The alcohol drinks are $18 (crazyness) but it tasted pretty good. The lowest is $10 and thats just beer.Im not a big sauna fan since I cant stand heat but still went into all of them for about a minute and enjoyed the gold and led room. The best was of course the ice room in the end.
Pros:- The massage staff were all amazing! They handled us very gently and were extremely helpful in giving us guidance.- The saunas were relaxing (especially the Himalayan Salt, which as you’ll find out is by far the most popular)- The areas were clean and well-kept.Cons:- The locker room staff needs to be more attentive. Many people were confused on where to put their shoes vs their other belongings, and they didn’t tell us until after we started stuffing our clothes into the tiny lockers.- The pricing for admission seriously needs to be reworked, especially when half of the amenities are currently not in service.- Healthier options need to be available at the snack bar.Overall, it was decent experience, and I’ll definitely be back again in the future.
My mom enjoyed her birthday!! Check in was quick a lil wait time but nothing extreme, the girls at the desk were very helpful. Everything is credit card NO CASH! So be prepared you also have to bring your own robe and towel. We enjoyed the pools the most definitely will be back to experience all the amenities when things get back to normal. I highly recommend if looking to do something fun, hangout/relax in some water 🥰🥰🥰
The place looks better and they fixed everything. My only complaint is that the water was too cold. They have 3 pools. I don’t think there is no need to have the 3 of them in a 99 degrees, for that I stay in my tub. They need to raise the water temperature a least 203 degrees.
I sat is the salt room (which they said is their hottest room) for an hour and did not even sweat. they dont have the saunas heated properly. the point of sauna to sweat out toxins, but its not possible to do this at spa castel. so if youre looking for a good sweat dont go here.
My favorite place to relax and unwind. Always better to go at a discounted rate. Theres and indoor pool with a swim up bar. Two heated outdoor pools. Two hot tubs. A bunch of saunas and an ice room. Of course you pay extra for massages, facials and other things related. Food is a bit pricy. So if your on a budget eat sparingly. Or eat beforehand. They also serve alcohol. Each of age person get a limit of 6. They dont want you getting trashed and do something stupid. The spa castle staff are strict on policy. So take heed to the rules or you will be asked to leave. Without a refund. So if your looking for a day too treat yourself; this is the place. Spa Castle opens at 8a.m. And closes at 11p.m.
I called and they are closed again. First they closed for renovations supposedly. When I googled why they were closed it says because of inspection. I brought a Groupon and it expires in August. I hope that its going to open by then. If not Groupon is going to give me a refund because they are not open
Love it here. I know it gets mixed reviews, and has even been shut down before for some weird stuff. But I find it so relaxing, soothing, and invigorating. Its like stepping into another world, outside of NYC, where you dont have to stress or be on your phone, you can just relax and enjoy the many pools, many jets, many saunas, the nap room, the smoothie bar. I found it clean, and not too busy if you go in the early afternoon. Love the strong jets on your shoulders from above, the ice sauna, the salt sauna, and the locker room pools from very hot to very cold. Great for recovering from a stressful week or if youve been sick.
Great, interesting part they added life guards which is strange but like the safety.
Man, this place has changed.First, the good: the facilities have improved a lot since the renovation. Everything works, everything looks clean (for the most part). There are a lot of varied experiences in the facility and its still overall nice to spend a few hours here. However, a lot has changed: The food is a joke compared to how it used to be. The menu feels more like something youd find at Six Flags than a nice spa. What happened to the huge buffet of healthy food?People arent given any guidance on what to do or how to enjoy the facility. People arent told about the shoe lockers vs. clothes lockers so the locker room floors were dirty from people walking around with their shoes on. Theres zero enforcement of nudity in the nude area leading to some confusion and weird vibes. Just tell people what to do instead of letting them figure it out on their own. And no lotion in the locker room to use after your stay seems crazy to me.Theres an overall feeling that they are trying to suck more money out of you. They removed drinking fountains so you have to buy water now. Also, extra towels are $2 each.Overall, I think this place could return to its former glory with some improvements. Hopefully they listen to their customers.
Im going to start by saying I spent 9 hours here on a Saturday and had a pretty decent time. Ill list the good stuff before the bad. However before I start listing things Ill first say that Spa Castle is NOT handicap accessible. Whether or not they passed inspection I do not know but I do know that their elevator is essentially solely used by staff. The entrances/exits on the 1st and 2nd floors are hidden away in the back without any signs and have narrow hallways where they keep there stocks of sodas and other misc. stock items; the hallways were not even big enough for me and my mother to walk shoulder to shoulder. If you use a wheelchair I am unsure of how accessible anything would be as there are no ramps to get into the pools or saunas. I simply use a cane and had a hard time due as the stairs are not that safe. Not only are the stairs slippery (duh water) but the railings are not the greatest, and I actually fell getting into one of the baths towards the end of my day.Good things - Saunas are indeed relaxing and there are plenty to choose from as seen from my picture. Spa Castle is open almost all day on the weekends from 8 am to Midnight, so you can run your errands etc and still get a spa day in. They also have no age limit so you can bring anyone with you and the pools/baths are heated in the winter as well. The food and drinks offered at Spa Castle are decent to good depending on your taste. Spa Castle gives you a small towel, uniform and watch which acts as both your locker key and wallet for the day making it easier not to lose track of your belongings or having to deal with soggy money.Bad things - The price of everything. Starting with entry; while I understand the price point for Adults, as of February 2018 it is $50/adult on weekends. It is kinda hard to justify $40/child on weekends. To do the old family of 4 pricing, would mean that 2 adults and 2 kids would cost $280. That price is just to come in and use the saunas, pools/baths and gym equipment. This does not include food, drinks or even massages. Speaking of food, they have a very small buffet area that unfortunately I did not pay close attention to the price and paid $14 for 2 pieces of watermelon, 1 slice of tomato, 2 slices of avocado, 3 pieces of kiwi and 2 strawberries. When I ask why the price was so much, I was shown the sign $10/per pound a plate for fruit and $12/ per pound a plate for everything else. What they dont tell you is that they include the weight of the plate in their calculation and that the plate must weigh somewhere between .6 - 1 pound in of itself. You are better off getting food that the price is already set. As for drinks, for a place that is designed to make people sweat they only offer free water on 2 out of their 4.5 floors and that is ridiculous. Dehydration is a serious problem that could seriously hurt someone if they are unaware that they are losing so much water from such activities as being in the water or having a steam. While the fact that this place is open most of the day is great, unless you really like noise and crowds I suggest coming early because this place starts becoming a weird almost club like scene around 5/6 pm or so. Lastly Im going to put this under the bad column simply because many people are shy, the locker room is strictly a naked place. There are signs that strictly prohibit changing in the bathroom stall for privacy and threatens to evict you for not following this rule. While I dont think it is a horrible place, I feel there is room for improvement. I would likely go again if someone else paid or if I felt like splurging and Groupon had another deal of 2 for the price of 1.
One of the most fun activities you can do in Queens! I absolutely love this place. The cover charge is modest compared to all the things you can do there. The people there are nice if you are nice to them (goes without saying). Every time I go there, I come out brand new. Theres like 5 specialty saunas, three massaging waterjer pools, delicious food on the 2nd & 3rd floors, a small gym, balconies to take in the views and lots of comfy beach-style chairs where you can relax or just fall asleep. The food and special services (like a masseuse) are pricey but well worth it. They even pump oxygen into the A.C. system so you feel wonderful and energized while youre there. I highly recommend this place.
Used to go here all the time, and now I would give ZERO STARS IF I COULD! Theres no relaxation because there are SO MANY KIDS AND BABIES CRYING AND MAKING NOISE. People shouting and laughing inside the actual sauna rooms, watching movies on their phones with no headphones. No, this place has definitely changed for the WORSE! So disappointing, especially on my birthday. :( No quality foods, but its expensive to say the least. And trash everywhere!I expressed my opinion to the front desk girl and she just said enjoy your relaxation at home Im sorry what kind of response is that? For an incredibly ridiculous entry fee, I expected great treatment like it once used to be. I dont know if they changed owners, but change back to the previous ones!NEVER COMING BACK!
I was visiting Spa Castle with my family yesterday, June 14, 2017. My husband, my two kids and I decided to have lunch in the spa and we ordered a few things including squid over rice. First, my kids were eating food from that dish, then the rest was given to me. As I put food in my mouth and began chewing, i bit into something hard and it fell out of my mouth. It was a piece of glass. I have pictures to prove it. I did not sustain any injuries, luckily, however it could have been worse for my kids, my husband or myself. The manager only gave me a refund for that dish and offered another dish for free. This is no way to treat such a situation. This needs to be looked into. I bought a groupon for this place. I would have given it 5 stars if not for this incident. Everything else was fine however this situation definitely put me on edge. Nothing else was done or any refund given to me.
Not bad, I did get to relax, but why cant I have a fresh towel after I used the first one distributed to me?
Half of it was not functioning, but the price was the same. You cant bring in any food or drink, you have to throw it away, not sure its legal. That way, youve lost your bottle of water for the day and you are encouraged to buy inside !Imagine pools with people eating and drinking in it, awful idea, but thats the concept here. The only interesting part are the pools in the ground floor, mostly naked pools. Not because its naked, but because this is the only part with usable hot bath pools, with the showers around. A sauna and a hammam. The other floors are with bars and some bath facilities equipped with rugs but no benches. Rugs on which people lay and sweat, what about the hygiene?Maybe not important for them as the upper pools where closed by law for hygiene reasons...Its really expensive for what it offers. Its not worth it to me.
To be completely honest, this was the LEAST relaxing experience I’ve had in a long time. First of all, we came here for the GRAND RE-OPENING but it’s more like pay $70 for a viewing party of all the amenities that aren’t ready/ can’t be used yet. All outdoor pools are closed. The only pool available for 400+ people was the little indoor pool that holds 15 people comfortably max and is absolutely filthy with particles floating all around the water. I had to immediately get out and run to the showers. Where there was no body wash. The indoor pools/ hot tubs inside of the locker rooms felt like kids water park. Surrounded by screaming children spashling and kicking water all over me. The amount of children running around in the common area really makes it impossible for you to enjoy yourself. All the areas where you MAY have a chance of enjoying yourself, are closed for renovation.I will never ever return
If you are looking for a peaceful restorative spa experience….This ain’t it! When we pulled up, there was a long line to enter. The line looked like it was access for a public pool. You are charged a general admission fee to even gain access to the facility. They are charging for a YMCA family day with access to the pool. I do not recommend this place for a girls spa day!
It is not a good place to go .inside pools very small. We couldnt use outside ones . It is not organized in rules .
This place has good and is a well known vibes but is in desperate need for a upgrade/refurbishing
The new version is a complete disaster. Walking down from the first floor while people were still in saunas, the shower area was closed at 9 05 pm. Only option was to change and leave. Some of the saunas have bright lighting like a dentist office, a far cry from the relaxing atmosphere that was supposed to be the idea behind this place. Manager at reception blamed the kids who didnt know we were supposed to be allowed to shower before leaving. He stated I should have let him know like its my job as a customer to let him know that things are not handled properly. Unfortunately this place has been completely ruined
Purchased a Groupon they offered for their Grand re-opening. Unfortunately, there was nothing GRAND about it. The ONE opened pool was basically people soup (meaning it was extremely crowded). The outdoor are closed with signs everywhere stating their closed by the Dept. Of Health. Children running around so do not expect to relax at SPA CASTLE and their food was very much lack luster. Not to mention, I was given old condiments for the nasty burger I purchased. The most definitely should have held off this grand re-opening. I do not recommend and I will not visit again!
Spa Castle - congrats on the reopening. I used to go often until the service and cleanliness started slacking and phones filled the nude areas. Please enforce showering and no phones in the nude bathing area. This made the experience extremely uncomfortable in the past. The rooftop pool was full of trash and discarded food containers the last time I went.It was once an amazing spot to relax and soak. Im wary of the family-friendly branding, but hoping Spa Castle is able to create a relaxing and fun experience for those wanting to unwind in a clean, safe, and relaxing environment. I look forward to seeing the improvements!**I would also love to see healthy and fresh food back in the buffet.
The price went up & the quality down.Alot of the spa pool seats dont work, overcrowded and especially with small children. Though there is an area for the tots the parents bring them in the regular adult area. The prices on the inside for food and services are way overpriced & there are too many complicated rules when its meant to be a day of relaxation. It would be worth $10 for this but its $45 plus theres alot of rif raf!Very hard to find a place to sit bc of the overcrowding.
Same as it use to be but each spot is working. (out door pools still closed)
Today, after a few years looking forward to it, I finally visited Spa Castle in Queens. A friend had recommended to me just before Covid started when I asked for a Russian Bath recommendation. She told me how wonderful the place was and I had been looking forward to visit since. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The place was indeed magnificent, but most of the staff was not friendly and there were no cell phone rules in place. People had their cell phone even in the saunas. One guy was using FaceTime!!!People were loud everywhere and there was no place you could find to relax. Unfortunately, not planning to return. If you are looking for a party style spa this might be the place for you, but if you are looking to relax and rejuvenate this is definitely not the place. I don’t know what to say… we purchased 5 tickets online be aware the top pools not open so you basically only can use the sauna area and probably the food section. It’s too bad this information not on the website only you will be notified when you are at the counter to check in…so many people with my family left the spa. Good thing valet parking they don’t charge for this short period … that’s was a waste of time we take off the day from work. We stopped at Christmas Day also no one mentioned but they don’t let us in because it was holiday no matter it was on monday. So we already waste 2 days and no spa… I emailed to them no reply for days. Top of that they have no idea when the pool will be open. My son leave the country onJanuary 10 only return back to the summer hope they will open it before! Ticket expire February 28Many years ago the spa was so much fun! Now they only collecting money for not to enjoy the full spa. Ridiculous.Today update we tried to call them morning and evening sucks let you wait 20 min and line disconnected. Understand once but twice ? Horrible.Quick update I stopped by today check if top pools are open spa castle totally closed again If you purchased tickets through Groupon don’t forget to request back your money.
What happened to this place!! The outdoor pool was closed (80% of its charm), the indoor pools were dirty, and the saunas were all barely over 100 degrees even though advertised as 140, 140 degrees, etc. I wanted to rip out my hair because they were playing the exact same song on repeat on the first floor and it was so annoying. Totally not worth the money, especially with 60% of the spa being closed. The lighting is also reminiscent of a pharmacy, cold and impersonal. The paint job is also like a greek taverna.
Excellent pools and massage. The saunas on the main floor could all have been hotter…
The outside pools werent open and that would have been nice to know ahead of time. Also they take your picture when you come in so be aware of your privacy. All told, if Im making a trek to a spa I personally prefer King Spa in NJ but this one is aight.
Don’t waste your time going anytime soon. They claim they renovated everything and reopened in December but I went yesterday and almost everything was still closed. They also made the lighting in the place SUPER bright and play loud music that’s not very relaxing. Between that and the kids running around yelling and screaming the whole time, it totally defeats the purpose of it being a SPA.More importantly though . . they had the entire men’s area roped off (again with no notice during purchase) and said they were being inspected. WHILE I WAS THERE, the city ended up closing down the building so they had to refund all the guests. They did not disclose the reason as to why they were shut down but I saw them testing the waters so I’m guessing it had to do with bacteria levels.I used to come here a lot and it was genuinely a nice place to come and relax for a few hours but frankly I will never go back again.
I had a whole day planned with my SO who had never had a massage and would love all the different rooms at spa castle. I booked a couples massage and we were going to take an edible and just bliss out, having lunch and chilling in different kinds of hot rooms. She didnt know Id booked this, and I had her friend bring me the things shed need so it would be a nice surprise when we showed up there. We took a $50 uber to the place and were surprised to see a sign saying closed until further notice taped on the front door. There was someone inside, and I finally got her attention, but when she got to the door she wouldnt open it to explain anything, she just kept pointing at the sign taped on the door. They had sent me an email the night before asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did. The morning of I double checked the email to make sure I didnt get any details wrong. They could easily have notified me before I blew 100 dollars on car rides there and back. They called me later on that day...after the time of my appointment (what was that supposed to do??) to let me know they were closed. Thanks!!! Thanks so much!!Ruined the day, ruined my whole surprise Christmas present. Dont know what else to tell you. Go somewhere else. This place is run by clowns.
Place is clean and relaxing...one thing i had a problem w is them sticking to the rules when it comes to children...I know its up to parents to follow the rules when it comes to their own however this that work there should enforce them when they do not... I didnt appreciate having to tell a parent that their child shouldnt be playing w a bottle in the water when it clearly says no beverages and the lifeguard just staring at it....
I wish it was easier to get to without a car. However, its worth a day trip there. Even if you dont opting in for any of their extra services its worth spending the day there. There are four floors of things to do and the restaurant is worth the cost. Its a little bit overpriced but the food is very good and high quality. The cleanliness of this place cannot be overstated enough. Its REALLY clean with an eye for keeping it that way.For a place run by Koreans, its surprising to neither see a large Asian clientele nor Asians working there either. That was a weird thing about it.DO NOT go from Friday to Sunday unless you love massive crowds and waiting on line for everything. Its that old Yogi Berra joke of that place is so popular, nobody goes there any more on weekends. Or, in this case, EVERYONE goes there.
I had looked ahead of time for their policies about outside food and what to bring, nothing on their website. They almost took my food that i brought but i put it in the car and they dont let you leave after you check in. They wanted to tske this other ladys food who was a diabetic, telling her if her sugar got low she could buy their food. My locker was messed up which got me frustrated. The baths, steam rooms, and pools were nice. Dont go to the pool with the rock chairs that look out the window, their filter wasnt working right and all i saw was dead skin floating around. The food that they sell is really expensive but there isnt much of a choice. On a good day it wont be crowded and you can swim in the outdoor pool freely.
I spent 6 hours of relaxation and loved it! 🥰
My first time going to Spa Castle and it was one of the best experiences ever. It was relaxation within a bustling city. Their food was amazing. If you love korean food, its on their top floor. The indoor pools were hot and bubbly so it gives a soft massage in your body. The outdoor pool is big and just great in the summer. The pressure is nice for your body as well. Amazing customer service. The drinks can be improved a little bit cause some of their drinks are just watered down or too little of the alcohol and more on the mix. The saunas are amazing as well on the bottom floor. It is an amazing experience.
Spa castle is an amazing place. I love to meet a friend for a great day away. One of my favorite things is swimming in the heated pools on the roof… When it’s snowing. My other favorite is the large resting room that’s built from Korean yellow clay. So healing.
It’s a very nice place .I went and had a great time with my family👍👍👍👍👍
Not too clean, I must have come on a Groupon day. Very crowded, and lines to do almost everything. Bar had only 1 person attending the masses of people there. Life guard had clean up duties instead of staying at his post since the multitudes of people leaving their empty cups on the pools edge. If this place was meant to be a site of relaxation and tranquility, its definitely missing the mark.
I wish I could have the option for no star at all. We went to this place after many years and it was surprising to see how deteriorated it was.The pools had mold all over and everything felt dirty and old. At the womens looker room they give you a very small towel and it is dark and dirty. We headed upstairs to eat or drink something and it seemed the food was sitting there with no attention and the staff at the food tendering provides very poor service. At the drink station on the second floor, we found a sign that said, will be back in an hour and it felt like it was two hours. How can this happen at a place like this? At the end of the visit, heading to the showers the smell of mold, dirt and humidity was unbearable. They closed at 9:30 pm so we took a shower and went to dry our hair and one of the workers shut down the switch for the hair dryers. She said, the cut of time to use the hair dryers was 9:15pm, crazy. I will not go back to this place or recommend it to nobody. They should shut down and deep clean the place. They should shut down and fix or remodeled the looker rooms.
My experience at Spa Castle a few months ago was lovely! I was scared that due to the price being lower than other spa’s in the area and due to some bad reviews that it wouldn’t be s good experience, but I honestly left feeling relaxed! I loved all the unique sauna experiences they had and I felt that the different outside and inside water therapy options they had were great. Would definitely go back again!
The new slogan, social media updates, and press release promised ‘head to toe’ renovations and an experience that would allow you to ‘Escape the Ordinary’ and justify the shocking 2X price increase for general admission. I went on their soft opening day, and 2 weeks later — the reality is that the experience is below ordinary with no means of escape!Spa Castle claims that they spent millions on this renovation. While there was some beautification, it seems like most of this renovation was focused on the internal mechanics that customers don’t see. They repaired the buttons to turn on the special water features and supposedly replaced much of their piping, filters etc. I will say there was a noticeable difference in water pressure and how everything worked. The beautification and features they did add; I’m afraid did not do enough to change the experience and justify a price increase. They slapped some paint on the building, repaired the saunas (which was nice) and changed a personal favorite in sauna valley (not so nice). They added some new seating and removed the water feature from Sauna Valley, and added two new hot tubs outside and replaced the one that was there. They also renovated the locker rooms, but not the bathrooms within. Also noteworthy is the facility was not cleaned after the construction and there was still dirt and dust everywhere. This held true for both visits, which is appalling.I tried sharing this feedback privately - via email and through instagram. There was no response and I was blocked on Instagram.Between the overhyped press, the price increases, and the health department shutting multiple areas down, I predict the good days of Spa Castle are long behind us and that permanent closure is inevitable.
If you want to stay sane KEEP AWAY FROM THE MENS LOCKER ROOM. they got a whole diddy operation going on in there
I love this place simply for the amount of amenities available just for the entrance fee. The food is a bit pricy and the plates weigh at least 2 ounces (lol) but the food is good. The drinks are unfortunately watered down and pricey at that. Otherwise the saunas and pools are great and the staff is helpful as long as you ask.
Fun times and very relaxing, this is the first spa I went to a decade ago! Now they are closing for a solid renovation. Looking forward to coming back after the upgrades. Still today was fun as hell.Huge outdoor pools, hot tubs and massaging jets on the top floor. Second floor has 7 different saunas and a place to order food or select from the salad bar. Bottom floor is the locker rooms which also have steam room, sauna and a few pools. So much fun and relaxing for families and all types. Good times, relaxing times every time.
Weekday mid-day visit is great. Not crowded
The upstairs pools are not opened yet 1/6/2024. Only one indoor pool is open and its small. The food is on the swcond floor. Get ready to wait though but its good. The drinks were nice and strong and the multi saunas are cool. Get there early to avoid lines. The action is in the firat floor suanas and pools. Maybe it will get better but it just OK for now.
One of the most disappointing experiences of my life. After walking around for 10 minutes we asked for a refund. They close in two days for construction so I hope they make some major changes. This is going to sound very pretentious, but If you have been to any Scandinavian sauna facilities don’t even think about coming here as it will be a massive disappointment. I looked into a few of the saunas and there were…. No benches. Just people splayed out on the floor that I would have to step over to find a space to then sit… on the ground. More of a sweat lodge vibe than a sauna. The lack of showering facilities between the saunas and pools was very concerning, especially for a barefoot facility. The lack of people showering at all coming from the street to the spa is unsanitary and the place just looked like a breeding ground for infection. I got more of a public pool vibe from this place and not a relaxing spa, especially with all the kids. I’m glad the manager quickly offered a refund. Castle Spa, please use your time being under construction to implement better cleanliness practices. Showers need to be mandatory and should be the last step between locker room and the rest of the facility, period.
I used to go to Spa Castle before they renovated, and I expected a lot post-renovations. Unfortunately, my experience was subpar. Colors changed, some updates… but honestly, most of it remained similar if not the same overall. For the new price, I don’t know if I’d go again. On the other hand, the Korean food on the top floor is actually legit and pretty good, so you can give that a try. No more sushi though… I found the bathing and saunas to be pretty much the same with some minor tweaks. Nothing crazy new. Take my review with a grain of salt, but before renovations, I haven’t been in a long time, and this is based on my memory of the place a loooong time ago. Check it out, but if you got time, go to NJ for sojo :)
I really recommended I have a very relaxing day is also very nice for couple you can celebrate your Birthday,,,,they have hot and cool Jacuzzi, saunas a waterfall,a kids area pool,a red zone air, have a after shower they provide everything champoo rinse soap tower blower for the hair, area for restaurant, shrimps crabmeat a salad bar Sochi area on the third floor they have Oriental restaurant also area to smoke barcony to take nice pictures you can see everything really nice nice view
First timer today with my husband. We did not stay as long as we wanted. It was a little cool outside. We had a couples massage that was amazing. Best massage ever. The hydrotherapy pool was wonderful. I would have liked to stay longer, but the weather did agree.
Me and my bestfriend went to Spa Castle during the Christmas break, the massage was great 👍🏽, the individual spa pods (infrared, Himalayan Salt etc.) was great 👍🏽 and the food was great 👍🏽. When it came to sustaining our road to relaxation, I have to give 👎🏽. As I was trying to relax in the heated saunas, I was forced to endure children swimming and splashing in the 95 degree water, while their mother left to sit in the dry sauna. Im a senior manager of several childcare programs, I get very protective over children especially if they are not supervised and around water. This situation took me out of being relax and switched to rescue mode. I did not want to be part of an incident or perform CPR, not what i came there for. One of the children kept swimming on me then started choaking. I told their mother who floated by that her son was choaking. She was like, he told me. I remember seeing signage that stated no swimming, parents must supervise their children and lastly, everyone must be clothe in public areas. This leads me to my other trauma while visiting there. There were many older women walking around and in the sauna naked. There were these little bucket-like stools that these women were sitting on with no bathing suit. Now remember I said there were children in this area. All being exposed.I think it would be best for Spa Castle to have another section for families or host family days/hours. I lost my relaxing feeling and got tensed as the same way I arrived at the place, waste of 💰.
I just have questions about your coupon book that gona be expired for next month but your place been temporarily close a while so you world give us for extended time for those tickets you don’t give us to use?
Roof deck pools were closed. New redesign is clean but sterile. The Resteraunt upstairs is a chaotic disaster. Food took forever, some food never came, and staff were rude. Missing finishing touches all around
Very disappointed in this place … I purchased two tickets thru Groupon and spoke to the receptionist on January 3rd at 10 am and told her I would be coming in and I might add some extra services … didn’t say anything about spa castle being close.. I got there around 6pm and it was pitch black inside … when I called the number the answering machine picked up and said they will be temporarily close starting January 3rd…. I can’t even get a hold of anyone … and tomorrow is my fiancé birthday ….. I’ve been here numerous times and I’m shock on there bad service.
Perfect get away for relaxation. At least 6 different saunas to sweat in as well as an ice room. The bade pools and jets are exceptional to relieve muscle aches all over the body. Great Korean food options in the facility also.
I have been here 4-5 years ago and came back in the end of 2023. I am not sure if the management changed or not, the experience quality is not as good as before. Even if they are partially opening the facility, they do not offer that much of spa experience as usual as other Korean Spas. If someone is looking for the unique Korean spa experience, I won’t recommend here.
This place has definitely aged and you can see it in many places. Some jets in most pools dont work. Some are just consistently on(instead of pressing the button). Even with the needed rehabilitation it was still a great experience.
Honestly deserves 0 stars. I was told they don’t honor gift cards because they just reopened and the system wouldn’t accept. Bull. The associate also refused to give me her name after she told me to call customer service - which is the same number as the spa, what would be the point?I only went there because it was a gift. They were blasting reggaeton when I entered and that’s not the ambience I am looking for when attending a spa. There are much better spa’s in equal and lesser price.
Went with friends to spa Castle yesterday. I absolutely love the concept, it feels just like a bathhouse in Europe. Front desk staff was friendly, the ladies handing out the towels in the back womens locker room not as helpful, both just wanted to talk to each other in Korean and seemed irritated when I had to interrupt their conversations to ask for help.I expected the other people participating in this particular spa experience to be a little more sophisticated. I walked into one of the small rooms to find two girls in thongs taking pictures of themselves in inappropriate positions. Many couples were getting way too intimate in the pools, all though there are No PFA signs all around the facility. Nobody came over to stop them, it was very uncomfortable around my friends teenage daughter. I wish people would have more respect in that aspect. Food and drinks were good, I would love to give this place more stars. It has lots of potential!
I have been to spa castle one time and that was on a Thursday and it was as soon as they opened. Before I went I have heard so many mix reviews about them though. Spa castle is the place to go to relax. There are about 4 saunas, 3 Pools, a few hot tubs, and a massaging area. They also have a smoothie spot a buffet. I would advise you to be there right once they open because nobody’s there. It is quiet and relaxing and clean and just a good vibe. The price isn’t bad overall except for when you want to buy a drink it is a bit more expensive but overall if your going with your significant other or mother daughter day I would agree you go here.
It was great except for the kids. Kids should be banned or not come after a certain time, like 5 pm. They serve alcohol and I’m spending money to relax to be disturbed by kids, take them to solids splash or something. They are nubs adults and kids aren’t not appropriate. The baby was staring at my butt, I had on a thong bikini.
If you want a sauna experience, this is NOT for you. Why on earth theyve turned the heat off is beyond us, but their formally hot saunas and cold plunges are now tepid. They have over 7 saunas yet the hottest one was only 143F!!! Everyone was complaining. The coldest cold plunge was 72F. It took over an hour in the hottest sauna to work up a sweat. Perhaps its renovated for selfie-takers? If you enjoy a good Korean Spa day, go elsewhere.
The worst place I know is a place where too many people come in to make money, there is no hygiene or terrible cleanliness.
Upon coming back to experience the new updated Spa Castle I would have thought all this time they were closed that i will be walking into a new experience. Well that wasnt really the case. First off we came for New Years Day And the main facility outside Jacuzzi which is the ideal area of the Spa Was Closed which they told us at front and being that we traveled all the way there i said well lets go inside anywayz. They Still dont give u a full towel and theres no Lotion, No Hair Dryers and They took away alot of the resting areas. Never did they tell us they closed the pools and jacuzzi inside as well which forced everyone to sit by the pool near the bar area (which is very small) and they charge 85$ ea for me and my girl to go into one pool they had only open upstairs other wise we forced to go to the locker area - jacuzzis and thats where its all same gender only So me and my girl had to seperate. So instead, we went to go eat and the food was gross, it was nothing like how i normally order the tastee was off and horrible like old oil. I ordered a bulgogi (Pepper Steak and Rice) and my girl ordered tenders and fries. After leaving because we didnt have much to do and was really diasppointed in the experience because they charged us alot to come into a spa thats 75% of its facility isnt working. We had a Movie booked but my stomach started hurting leaving the spa. I still attempted to stay to watch the movie but i started getting really sick and had to leave the theater. I caught a horrible stomach virus from eatting a dish called Bulgogi and I couldnt bare the pains. I was sick for a whole week after. After this Experience i dont think im going to Spa Castle anymore. I use to go every two weeks. Not only they want to charge more but the service is less. Thats really doesnt make things look better ...they better off staying closed until they really get it together. Im very disappointed with spa castle and its management. They charge people to much money for them not to give better service.
Updated review:The new Spa Castle looks awful and is basically ruined. This Greek style is so poorly done both inside and outside, as evident by the latest pictures. Although I have not gone back for the grand reopening, lets just say that I will be staying away from this place for a super long time. The outdoor pools are closed too which makes up about 80% of the fun and relaxation of Spa Castle. The sauna valley is also ruined because it used to be so colorful and unique since this place first opened back in 2007. Theres nothing relaxing about it anymore because of the stupid bright makeover. Lastly, why charge such high admission prices and make Friday the most expensive? This place was already perfect the way it is and no one asked for this horrible renovation, but rather some minor repairs. What an absolute shame. If you miss the old Spa Castle as much as myself and others do, then youre a proud loyal customer. But if you like the new Spa Castle and have no care or regards to the good old one, then please go seek medical attention right away.
Spa castle is a dope getaway, and if you go, get that deep tissue massage.
This place used to be a great place to relax! Now is a trush! I saw a group of people eating chicken wings inside the pool!!!!!!Kids playing around and the lifeguard on the phone all the time. No more shuttle bus!Just No drinks and no food around the pool areas to avoid those uneducated people. For me this was the last time...
Went on a Friday. They stop taking the Groupon, so I had to pay in full. All the restaurants on the second level were closed by 6, leaving the one place on the top level. Inside pools can be a lot warmer... Other than that, nice self-love day. 💓
I love coming to this place early in the morning when there arent as many children around. The massage water jets are great for any muscles thats are sore. It is also good when you can to get a full body scrub and a facial. It is a great feeling to come in the winter time when the pools are hot and it is cold out side. It does suck that there isnt an elevator for disabled customers. Im a veteran and today I had got in free because they are having an appreciation event for military, during the memorial day weekend. I will come back again there is only a 3 drink minimum, I suggest pregaming it before hand. The food is delicious, I love the bulgogi but this time I had food before I came. The saunas are relaxing as well.
Drinks and food very expensive. Service from the women was awful. The downstairs women at the lockers VERY RUDE and rolled their eyes if you asked for something. The bartender at the bar, the lady, was also rude. Initially denied me a drink for underage meanwhile I have a wrist band and I’m almost 30… then was snappy about me ordering more than 1 drink. I had to bring someone else over to order. I wouldn’t go back to this place, the service is awful and many spa stations are broken. A nine station jet pool, 3 spots broken. Many pools are like that. We went on a weekday so the weekend must suck with almost half of the stations being broken
I remember going to Spa Castle few years back and it was beyond amazing experience. Now every review you read has something bad to say, from entering the business, customer service is bad. The locker rooms are dirty. Inside lockers there are brown spots from water destroying the laminate wood and staff not cleaning lockers. When you get towel they are green colored with brown residue as in they wash them so much but still keep the discolored towel in cycle. The pools have dirt on the bottom, cracks on the tile, green residue on the tile and the button to start the water treatments from not cleaning the pool. In the hot tub, thereʼs hair and leaves all of it. I mean I can go on but my skin is starting to irritate from remembering those disgusting images.
Went to this spa years ago and just visited area recently so made it a point to go again since I loved my experience years ago. Very disappointed, mold on upper tiles of outdoor pools, most jets NOT working and others are on continuously, broken waterfall area and Lantern Flies All over the roof top area. The flies were in the pools and landing on our bodies which made it very streeful. Owners must do a deep cleaning and repairs. Interior amenities were very clean. Had a $9 Bubble tea which tasted good but not many pearls and some were hard and tasted old. This place was a Gem years ago and was sad to see how deteriorated it had become on the rooftop area.
We went in summer time, everything was so relax. The only Spa that accept kids. My daughter enjoyed too. So much fun. I recommend the scrub massages. Be advised first floor, in the pools, you have to be naked. This is no mandatory but when you realize that you are the only one in bathing suit, you feel uncomfortable. Dont worry, they separate men from women. A lot room saunas. We will back again.
This place is still open?!?!?!?!Its and STD NEST! Even police ware there last night. When we found out with out couple months old baby girl that water is to disgusting to put her in there cause there was not only foam on the water but food in it too...And I got a lovely present from the STD Castle....yeast infection 😉 so people if you love your health....skip this place🫠Your welcome 🙏
This is a big and clean place, but I was just here a few months ago for 50$ on a week day, they are overcharging for 85!
