Such a great place to go and relax and also have a good night out in town. From karaoke nights to private dancing places by the pool. I really was able to party, relax, recuperate and do it all over again. Recommended to go on low season if you want to enjoy the views, streets, markets and so on. Otherwise expect big masses of people shopping and I have been there at different times of the year so believe me there is a big difference and a time for everyone. The staff is very attentive and their rooms are very clean. I loved it 😍.
Had a great time here last Friday afternoon, popped by here as a stop off on our cruise. Bartender super friendly (thanks for the towels and pool encouragement .. much needed on a hot day!!), and our drag queen host was a TON of fun and kept the energy going even as things were just starting to pick up. Thank you!!
First time at a C/O pool. It was great! Bartenders were awesome and the people at the pool were super friendly.
Discovered this place a couple years ago…fun place to hang out. Hardy the bartender is the best! We met him in 2022 and he was and is amazing! Ran into him again this year.
Wow wow wow! You cannot believe! This is one of the best shows you can see out there. Ive been everywhere and seen everything and I can tell you the show here is not to be missed. The DJ is on point with the musics and there is a performer, Puddin Tain, wow! Nowadays drag queens are everywhere and theyre all the same, but Puddin Tain is a throwback to the days when drag was at its best. She will have you in stitches--absolutely a riot. Dont go anywhere else on Duval street. You wont regret it!
The bartender Joseph outside is a bit rude. He spends way too much time talking politics instead of serving drinks. It just affects his tips. You would think he would figure it out. No one wants to hear your politics at the bar.
I don’t get any of the negative reviews here at all. My fiancé / husband and I spent about a week coming here every night, and our experience has been NOTHING but positive. We came to key west to get married and had a blast here. Rhett was seriously the most amazing bartender ever, and we enjoyed every moment with him and at this place. Seriously! Come here. We’ll be back every year! ❤️
We visited this bar more than any other in Key West. We loved the atmosphere, friendly service, and affordable drinks. We thought the men only pool area was a cool added bonus and loved the free flowing be as you are attitude here.
Fun little open air bar on Duvall. Live entertainment, super cute bartender by the name of Shawn. Enjoyed some drinks with a few locals and had a great time! Only complaint is drinks were a bit too stiff!!
We had a ball at this Gay Friendly Bar! Excellent entertainment and wow super hot guys at 10pm at night what a show! Dancing throughout the bar the hot guys even gave us several lap dances! My partner and I came down over this past weekend on Saturday night and had a blast, super friendly staff excellent drinks from the bar. We definitely will be coming back again as we only live 5 hours away in Cape Coral FL. This bar definitely deserves a 5 star review thanks to the staff for making our trip a memorable one!!
Ive never gotten food here, but Ive been there during the day and at night, and its always a great atmosphere.A must-visit every time Im anywhere near the Lower Keys.I was there on Saturday night and the live musical act was great.
Avoid this place at all cost!I have been attacked and discriminated just because I am a woman!Definitely DO NOT go there if you are a woman even if you belong to the LGBTQ community you won’t be welcome!Me and my friends just arrived at the place when someone came to kick me out as it was a men only event (this is a LGBTQ bar people like me non binary should be allowed in).I was not happy but still I was leaving. While walking towards the door, this young intoxicated person, started yelling at me calling me with awful words and telling me that they don’t want “tits” in the bar.He was shouting in my face, my friends were trying to calm him down with no success. This young person even though we were ignoring him, attacked my friend by scratching his face and he attacked me by pulling my hair and hit me against the wall!He discriminated the fact that I didn’t have an American accent!I called the police! They did nothing about it!! Apparently in Florida you can’t press charges without going to jail.I had to let it go even though my head and my arm are now hurting very much!Nobody in the place took my side !At the end we left and he was still allowed to remain inside .I never seen such a hate for women! The worst night of my life! Being discriminated by my own community!
Absolutely love this place. We went every day we were in Key West. The staff (especially Briana, Nick, Jeff, and Claire) were amazing. The place felt like home. I love that they make frozen drinks. The pool and hot tub were nicer than at the condo we stayed in. Make sure you visit when Nick is DJing and dancing, he was so much fun!
Was unaware what I was walking into but the bar tender was nice and they had rolling rock
I want to start this by saying this isnt a review of the hotel itself, only of the total rip-off VIP tickets they sold for the great view of the parade. I also want to say that the bartender who was working there on the deck was great.Ive purchased dozens of VIP tickets to events during FF over the past 20 years. All of them have been great experiences (including two others I did this year), with two exceptions. The worst was a few years ago, and this one was a *very* close second. What we received for $400:A deck with all of the chairs removed, standing-room only.If you wanted to actually be able to see the parade, you needed to be one of the first 20 in the door (we were there an hour early, but not in the first 20), rush to the rail, and stand there without losing your spot for 5 hours. There were some sandwiches and finger foods, but you couldnt eat them when the event opened (even though they were all out and ready), nor could you eat if you didnt want to lose your place at the rail. Unfortunately we left before we could eat, since we didnt feel like standing for another half hour just to get a sandwich. An open bar (this was the only positive).IF you were one of the first 20, you got a great view of power lines and a Bud Light banner. You couldnt have actually gotten much of a view of the floats, and certainly no good pictures. One reserved table with two chairs (possibly the owner?), which an incredibly rude person sitting there. He literally had a hissy fit when someone (gasp!) put a cigarette out in the ashtray. Keep in mind it was the *only* ashtray within 10 feet, and the person couldnt leave his post at the rail lest he lose it. I guess he was supposed to throw the cigarette on the wood floor. If this was $25/person, it would have been a rip-off. For $200/person, it was downright criminal. My wife and I each got a drink, waited a half hour, and then left. Thankfully we found really comfortable seating with a table, good food, and a VERY nice manager and an amazing view of the parade by going a few blocks down to Point Break Cafe, which is definitely where we will be next year.
I love the inside but the clothing optional pool bar has some moody bartenders the two nights I was there were verbal fights and so much drama. The bartenders ended happy hour on the anniversary night early because people were “not tipping” that’s what I was told. The bartender said I was getting an extra free drink and that I should tip him for it. I don’t need to be told how to tip from a rude bartender their job is to provide excellent service and the tips will come.
Okay, why would any owner of a bar, where people are supposed to have fun, hire or continue to employ horrible bartenders. Every one at this bar was angry, old, not fun to look at and gave the worst service. Mr./Mrs. owner, get a clue, fire your current bartenders and hire ones that know how to smile and interact with your guests.
We came here three times over the course of the weekend and truly enjoyed the convivial vibe and great drinks with a hilarious bartender (wish I could remember his name! He was delightful) at the front bar. The back outdoor bar also had a fun crowd and bustling atmosphere for some fresh air. The bartender outside (we later learned hes known as Marky Mark), however, was a huge buzzkill, demanding with major sass that we move from his designated serving area despite having AMPLE room to serve customers all around the perimeter of the bar. But we didnt let that deter our evening. Great times were had!
They have cameras hidden in their vents in their bathrooms! I have videos and pictures to back my statement!
Enjoyed visiting here! I stopped in because I saw rainbow flags. It was a Wednesday night that was about to rain so there weren’t very many people here. Happy hour was at the bar which was $2 drafts at the second bar. Which was great considering some of the high prices at the other bars. Went out back to see where some people were coming from. Apparently it’s a male-only clothing-optional area. Which I was definitely not use too where I’m from but enjoyed it. About a dozen guys at the bar (only one person not wearing anything). Saw a pool, hot tub and plenty of seating. Met some really nice guys. Overall nice place. Came back the next day.
My Fiancé and I had a blast at this place. We made the most amazing friendships there amongst the locals and bar staff. A special shout out to the Bar Tenders Tim, Hardy, and Nick. By far the best service and attitudes from these 3. Also, next time we will be staying at the attached resort.
What a fun experience! The singer had the most amazing voice! He sang country and pop songs and we all sang along on some of the songs, the lyrics were on a screen. People looked like they were having a blast singing and dancing and socializing. We definitely enjoyed ourselves! Great atmosphere!
I absolutely love this place. The bartender, Jeff is amazing. He knows his customers and take great care of them. He is responsible, respectful, kind and goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great time. He has made my first Key West experience grand. Thank you, Jeff.
I love it his bar. It’s my favorite place to stay, and bartender Jeff is amazing. He really knows how to show his guests a good time! Stop by and ask for Jeff.
Great club. Took my fiance there for her birthday. There were some couple there so it was a cool place to be to see male strippers. Wish there were more guys in the front bar. Woman are not allowed in the back bar but that is where there is a lot of hot guys .
Rude female working on daytime. There is no need to be rude to turist or when someone ask a simple question. If you are having a bad day just dont take it on people who are on vacation and trying to have fun. At first I thought she was been sarcastic but then she closed the door con my face. Not nice !
Our go-to bar that has unfortunately been spoiled by horrid service. My partner and I visit this bar every time we visit Key West and have always enjoyed the live music by Jeff Moss.Unfortunately, we stopped by for 2 hours and had several drinks and decided to order a water prior to leaving for roughly 15 minutes. The waitress from Whales continued to stare at us every minute on the minute hoping we would order another drink and then explained that we would have to leave because we were in “prime real estate” and weren’t drinking after 15 minutes.Great spot for live music but as others have explained, the service has definitely changed.
I wanted to like this place but the bartender (whos name I wont say, but it starts with a T) was so rude and disrespectful that I will never go back. He treated me and my partner like we were cockroaches. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place before, and it ruined my first Pride experience.
My husband and I walked in here totally unassuming this was a gay bar. Everyone was really nice to us though and we had some drinks while locals gave us some good advice on their favorite places to eat, drink and dance. The bar tender was polite and gave wonderful service. We felt super welcome and it had a really fun and friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend!
Called on December 01, 2022 to reserve table for two to celebrate our 40 th anniversary on New Years Eve. Left my credit card to charge for the table when the manager made up his mind how many tables for the shoe drop. Called at least for more times and told we were 7th on the list. Just got a return call this morning to say they just had nine tables to reserve and I didn’t get a table. No I will not be celebrating at the bar!!
The Hubs and I were hot and sweaty walking about, needed a cool beverage. Hardy was our bartender and amazing. He makes the best Mojito Ive ever had. Killer service, great prices, will recommend to anyone.
Bartender was the most rude woman I have come across in a customer service setting. We did not spend a dime there and I guarantee we never will. Owner might want to find another bartender that will represent their business in a more pleasant manor.
Paid for 2 VIP tickets for the parade at over $200 a piece plus them adding a “donation” to it on their own. Thinking we would have a good time and get the services we paid for which was to be able to watch the parade from their balcony but could not because there was NO ROOM for us and we were some of the first up their. We had a good spot but we happened to be next to the announcer who was so rude and nasty to me and basically forced us to move. I had not even touched him when he turned around and saw me behind him and in a very nasty, rude way told me not to bump him and then repeatedly told us that we should go stand behind the speakers. However, when we finally did get enough of his bad attitude we moved and a couple of guys went to stand behind him and he didn’t seem to mind them at all. Next issue is the “gourmet buffet”. What a joke! It was cheese, pineapple, grapes, and some tiny empty bowl where looks like meatballs were in it but they “ran out”. So no buffet. The “open bar” they advertised was an iced beer cooler with $5 beers on it!Then, the bathroom situation was terrible! ONE bathroom and it was poorly taken care of and smelled terrible and that was after waiting a long time to get into it. We ended up leaving and going outside to watch the parade on the street so we could actually see it!HORRIBLE TIME AND A WASTE OF MONEY!!!
Zero stars!! Stopped by for a couple drinks around 1 pm, had our dogs with us and sat along the street in front of the bar. One of the drunken & high patrons came out of the bar, started talking to us, slurring his words and swaying back & forth then fell on one our chairs. He nearly collapsed on one of our dogs, cracked his head open, bleeding everywhere and the bar did nothing. At least half a dozen people got up and left. We gathered up our things and never went back. If you are looking for a gay friendly bar, a good drink and much better service go to Rick’s just down the street. Terry, the bartender there, is much more attentive than this place.
Bourbon Street Pub is a great choice for Happy Hour drink specials. 🍻 If your looking to cool off from the intense Florida Sun, step inside and enjoy the AC. If this doesnt help maybe a dip in the pool will help you feel better. Although this garden area is clothing optional not everyone is nude. There is bar outside near the pool. So bring your swim suit or not 😁🌈 and relax by the pool with cocktails. The bar does provide towels. Stayed close by and our place didnt have a pool, so was nice to take advantage of this. Night time the club really comes to life with great music, dancing and Male dancers for entertainment.
We were at this bar every single night during our vacation. So much fun 😁
Rude and blatant disrespectI visit Key West often and make a point to stop by Bourbon Street Pub for a beverage. Usually more than once during my trips. This trip we stopped by and met a friendly and courteous female bartender however when we returned we met a male bartender who not only insulted us but ignored us for no reason. It even made the other bar patrons uncomfortable. One even asked the bartender arent you going to wait on those ladies? Of course we left. There are so many great places in KW to patronize and we will never return to Bourbon Street Pub.
Great time! Very good drinks! Bartenders were amazing! Very friendly! Myrica is the best! I will definitely be back here next year!
I’m not gay nor looking to be gay. But if you want to be served by the best bartender in Florida, go to Myrica. It’s not even close. Whoever owns this bar needs to give her the everything.
Always a great experience. Definitely a most-do while in Key West. Thur-Sun they have and excellent singer performing, Jeff Moss.
Came into town for a last minute vacation. Stopped into this bar on two occasions and both times, the service was horrible. The bartenders treated us with complete disdain and avoided eye contact with us any chance they got. The first incident was before dinner. We stopped in and had a drink while waiting for friends. The guy at the front bar was socializing with what appeared to be locals/friends and avoided serving us. Finally got tired of waiting and just left. The second time was later tgat night. We came in to see the entertainment and have a few drinks. We sat there for well over 10mins before one of the dancers had to ask the female bartender at the back bar to serve us. She was busy talking with her girlfriend and had the most disgusting attitude towards us. Stay away from this place, not worth it!
Great place. Many venues and bars inside. Its mostly gay and they have singers and strippers on certain nights. A pool and hot tub on the back patio. Drinks werent too pricey and the staff was a great. Seems like the place to be in Key West.
Happy to meet Hardy as our bartender! Hes fun and makes a great rum runner. Cute bar to stop at during our port from sea. I recommend!
My husband and I have been coming to Key West for 10+ years and the bar is a staple for us. We have seen ups and downs with the bar and staff, but overall a fun place for our group of friends to meet each night. Looking forward to coming back this December .
Bartender is warming and welcoming. He was very quick to serve drinks. A relaxed atmosphere that got this anxiety filled man open and talkative. One of the best bar experiences I have had.
I was in town for 2 weeks and went here every day. But each day they were SO rude to me! I waited over FOUR HOURS just to order a drink. I asked for a tequila sunrise but Im sure it was the bartenders urine in the glass. EVERY TIME! How could they get my drink wrong A DOZEN TIMES?! I have never been treated so shabbily in any of the finest bars around the world, because Im a world traveler and rub elbows with the most important people around the world. Just ask Tahani.
Always a fun place...been going for years. Great staff. The bartenders for the most part are very friendly. But hey who doesnt have a off day oncr in a while working? As long as I come to Key West Ill stop in and see the sights.
Honestly I have been coming to Key West for over 20 years and I have never had bartenders with the attitudes these guys have. Rude, short, unfriendly, zero personality. I honestly dont know why I come here. Last time we were here all of us were refused alcohol in the back bar because we were with a female. So much for being accepting of everyone.
DONT GO THERE! Horrible customer service from the bar tender, female. She was absolutely rude from the moment we walked in. In addition, the place is very dirty. They didn’t wash the glasses well and there was scum from the lips and hand of the previous user. Anywhere else on Duvall would be a better choice.
Placed closed during cruise ship docking even though Google indicated they were open. Dont waste your time and effort trudging to this far-from-the-docks bar. Obviously not interested in the tourist dollar.
Bourbon Street sooner or later has something for everyone. When I first moved to the island I practically lived there. I still go there for the nostalgia of the good times. It is great watching all the youngsters getting their share of all of the good times to be had there. Great drinks too!
Great location, normal drinks, but unfriendly staff. From the doorman to the bartender, we felt like an inconvenience even on Easter Sunday when it was dead. Go across the street where the energy is positive even though the drinks/scene is the same...and they dont charge cover.
Great bar and customers. Asked bartender just now,Zane? twice if he had my credit card only to learn on 3rd request he did not. Reported as lost/stolen. Ridiculous power play by bitter queen? U betcha!😎Then found out this isnt the only gay bar in Key West, happy at another business, happy4th!!
Ok.....so, yes, Key West is full of bars but this one definitely stands out! Great atmosphere and most of all great drinks! If Paul is your bartender youre in for a real treat!
What a great venue for drinks and gatherings with friends. I liked the multiple venues within the facility.
Cool bar on the busy street that is pride and diverse friendly, safe environment. Great live music
My #1 go to place during Fantasy Fest. Never a dull moment and the Bartenders are Amazing. Nick makes the best Rum Runner in town.
Im straight but want to say that my sons and I had a great time and Hardy B poured us great drinks and gave us an excellent dinner restaurant recommendation. Would go back!
Some girlfriends and I just attempted to swing by for drinks and were escorted out because we are females. Pretty sure this kind discrimination is illegal and incredibly offensive. Perhaps if we were asked to leave in a more considerate way and not physically turned around and shoved out the door on the basis of our gender this wouldnt be such an issue. Do not give this exclusionary place your patronage.
This place made us feel right at home! The bar tender out back catered to all our questions and brought us towels. Such a great experience!
Jeff was fantastic. The rest of the bar staff was absolutely NOT fantastic the following nights!! Marc was the ABSOLUTE WORST! Dane was good people.
If I could give this place a zero I would. I was told to leave when I tried to take a swim. I was overheated from walking. I had money to spend but they wanted a credit card. I felt like a black kid at a 1950s white country club. Shame on you.
Have been a local client for years now. If brings tears to my eyes to say that of all things the staff has gotten so rude. As well as theres no price relief any more any where. Cant believe our lovely community is reduced to such a mess.
Rhett took care of my friends and I all night, he was so charming and funny, you hardly ever see a bartender so professional and knowledgeable.
What is sad is the bartenders aren’t busy - but both were bad-(tiki bar) would have had liked to give credit to either - nope! Management better get it together!!!
We just had cocktails
Phenomenal cocktails from bartender Jeff. Great live music from Bria. Top class.
Stayed here twice and loved every minute. staff were friendly and place clean. will be back in 3 weeks and cant wait to stay at my favorite place in key west.augie 😄
Inexpensive drinks at happy hour 10am till 8pm. Marcel and Paul favorite bartenders. Excellent. Know my usual! Currently fav bartenders are Dane and Ryan.
We had the best time!! Thank you so much Jeff (the bartender) you made our last night in key west so much fun!
Hardy B is awesome and made me some awesome mimosas. I love his voice and how he serenades me.
The bartender didn’t say « hi » « thanks » or « bye ». He didn’t even move his mouth only his eyes to give a bad look. Horrible !
We had a wonderful time here. This was our favorite place on the island!
Here on a Saturday night around midnight. Not much of a crowd. Dancers look good. Drinks were fine. Left pretty quickly.
So this is iconic shoe drop bar. Not entirely impressed. Drinks ok and service ok, but iconic - not sure it deserves this moniker. Nice bar though.
Jeff was an awesome bartender! Live Music was fantastic! Must do in Key West!!
I was not impressed. As a visitor to the bar and key west I did not feel welcomed by staff or patrons.
Jeff brings his Kentucky charm to the bar every time. Always brings a smile when I see him
Fun enough. After coming to Key West for years, thi year theres some shade amongst the locals. They dont seem happy.Andrew
Harrry B was a wonderful bartender loved his coconut mojito was the best ive ever tasted
The first bartender was friendly but the second was very rude, he would tell you quite aggressive about the mask but he was cleaning tables, picked up glasses, credit cards, computer and lemons with his hands and I never saw him wash his hands or disinfect himself, if according to him he is very Picky with the safety of the mask, he should sanitize his hands
One of the nicest bars in Florida. Great food good music to dance to all around good place.
The place smells like mold and the dancers look like junkies with no class euwww very tacky....I went to 801 after and had a blast
Drinks not overpriced, atmosphere was fun, bartenders were friendly ... what more can you ask for?
Hardy B is the best bartender. Great drinks and awesome vibes.
Had a great bartender and made a few friends with the dancers. Ward was our favorite!
Absolutely fantastic. The back bar is clothing optional with a wonderful hot tub.
Jeff the bartender is a good, attentive server, and always remembers what I drink!
Jeff always makes for a good time as a bartender.
Awesome great pub with reasonable drink prices
First time in Key West i love this place i was fun the people so hot and friendly i will be back for sure
Zero service after standing at the half empty bar for 15 minutes. Terrible service, definitely wont return here.
Wife and I had a great time at the show!
Just the local gay watering hole
Love this place. Go when Jeff is entertaining!
Cool chill place! Singer was amazing! Great parties!
The best gay bar in Key West Florida lots of men
The Jessica Grabbit show is amazing! And no cover charge!
Good music, good bartenders, fun crowd
Nick is awesome!! Highly recommend
Friendly staff, nice amenities and fun atmosphere!
Cute little gay bar with a friendly atmosphere.
Its fine if you pay for it. The guys are really pushy and young.
Decor and music on point!
Horrible service! Waited 15 minutes to order a drink at the bar.
Dane rocks. Definitely go see him
Fun music, reasonable prices, hot strippers
I love this place I was here in manch 2018 for my birthday
GREAT LOCATION!FANTASTIC COCKTAILS!RUDE STAFF
Decent gay bar . Good drinks .
Love it
Rude staff, they kicked my sister out without giving a reason.
This place is so gross lol
Great bartender, drinks are good
Was a cool spot to dance and chill
Good prices and had fun here
Yes!
Its cool.
Always friendly, always fun
Always a great time 😏
The best place ever
Gogo boys, if thats your thing
Avoid if possible
I lived there...
Welcome to Bourbon Street Pub.
My refuge on a Saturday evening during a sudden cloudburst/end of the world. Simply the nearest accessible door in absurd rain. There is a nice bar at the front with music and pool tables. In the back there is an outdoor bar and pool where you can take your drink and just be lazy.Men should know that you are on your own there and where that can lead ;-)I enjoyed it and will definitely come back again.
Everything would be positive if the place and some of its customers were not intolerant and sexist: women and their friends, even gays, are not welcome. Sad...
Good cold beer, free water and very good live music. You can spend time here. Smoking is also permitted in the restaurant.
Retro in a modern version
Helleeerrrrrrr...yaaaas!
