The Funny Bone in Easton is a great experience! The atmosphere is really chill, the wait staff is fast and efficient, the food is way better than it even needs to be, and the entertainment is great. This location books a lot of great acts. I appreciate all the hustling the wait staff has to do, and they are great at keeping a low profile during the show. This place is great with a group of friends or even for date night.
Came to see an early evening show and had such a good time. Other than the show itself, the experience from the door to our seats was superb. Organized and friendly staff. Shout out to Arianna, our server. She has attentive and down to earth service!
The Christi Show did NOT disappoint 👏🏽!! I am so enamored of Gods favor and blessings on Ruby and Shirleens life. Truly, they ushered us through lifes issues with comedic genius and an endless supply of laughter for lifes struggles. Thank God for the moments that provide clarity, confirmation, and commitment to trusting His plan. 🙌🏽
Great place to see comedy, but our dining experience was less than stellar. We ordered dinner at 5:40 pm (show started at 7:00 pm). After waiting almost an hour, we asked our server where our food was. (During that hour he never checked on us or gave us an update. He said he would check. He came back and said our food was brought to the wrong table. He said he would get it quickly. 20 minutes later our food came out. Unfortunately, he got the order wrong, but my wife said not to worry about it because she was tired of waiting. It was obvious that he forgot to put the order in when we first ordered. All in all we waited almost 1.5 hours for our dinner to come to the table. The server never apologized and instead of adjusting the bill (the food my wife ordered was less expensive than what he brought out and he charged us for the more expensive meal). I pointed it out to him and he asked the manager to adjust the bill, which he did, but the adjustment was for the wrong meal and there was nothing done or said about our wait.
Warning, if you dont have a party of four you will be seated with someone else. They dont tell you that up front. It is very cramped seating arrangements. The people at our table were sweet though and we all enjoyed the show. I had the Comedy Club sandwich and fries and an order of the fried mushrooms. The food was really good if a little pricey.
Nice venue but it is kind of tight in there. They pack you in which is understandable. Service is okay. Drinks came out fast and food took like an hour into the show so be prepared for the wait. Overall decent venue and will be returning.
The only good thing about this place is the fact that they host decent comedians every now and then. They make it extremely unpleasant and not enjoyable to go see a show. $10 for a $2 tall boy $13 for four small cheese sticks. Then they keep coming by and bothering you about what drinks you wanna buy because apparently now there’s a two drink minimum. Well I’m sorry to tell ya but that’s an extremely sleazy way of trying to make money, I don’t care if it’s ”industry standard”. I was invited by friends and didn’t know I was obligated to spend that much money. I bought a ticket to be admitted to the show, that should be enough. If you guys need more money charge more for the ticket. It makes it seriously not fun and uncomfortable being made to feel like you have to buy things, when you’ve already paid for a ticket, admitting you into the event. This is also the second time I’ve sat in a horrible spot. This time they sat me on the end of a table right in the middle of an aisleway so every time and person or waiter, walked by me they bumped into me. You guys could take like maybe 10 tables away and then you would have plenty of room, but you insist on trying to squeeze as many people as you legally can probably into the space. It’s a disgusting way to operate and I genuinely don’t think I’ll be back. Maybe you guys would make more money off your food and drink if you made it enjoyable I feel like I’m being taken advantage of every single time I’ve been there. it’s a really bad feeling. I hope the right person read this.
Saw Tony Rock last night...great show from start to finish. Everyone loves Chris, seen some of his shows and in the movies. I have 2 brothers and we are each a little different so, I knew Tonys show would not just be a copy of his brother(although he can break into a perfect imitation of his brother instantaneously, lol). He is smooth and hilarious, his show is seamless. After hearing the stories he made us want to meet his mom. We had a blast and laughed nonstop. Next time Tony is in Columbus, we will be there. Oh.....one more thing...F#@K will smith and jada punk-ette smith. Hope they televise the payback, lol
Had an awesome timeMy friend took me out for my Birthday and I had a great timeWould recommend to anyone.Food and drinks were pretty good as wellCouldnt get pictures because phones are not allowed to be used but that is a good thing.
Our waitress took all of her four tables orders at the same time, with our table being first. I ordered a daiquiri with no whip. The girl brought everyones drinks out, but our table, then brought our drinks last and I had whip. After 20 minutes she brought back a very milky tasting and looking drink to me, which I declined after tasting the whip. They obviously didnt care about any allergy reaction. The service sucked. The waitress sucked, and lacked skill, and professionalism. We came before the show started, and the show was late, so there was no excuse, other than her just sucking. I will never spend money on service there again. People feel that they are owed tips for doing their job. I sat there without even the courtesy glass of water, (she was too busy to think to offer, I guess) to drink while the whole table ate and drank. The worse experience ever!
The service is quite bad. You can wait a long time for your food and drink, and it can even be forgotten. Also, the waiter tried to sneak in a 20% tip and I had to insist to have a choice in the matter. Also the food is pretty bad. And the seating is crowded to the point that half the audience can expect not to see the act.
Service was good at the show, I like Sheryl Underwood but she was the host and headliner - meaning she opened and intermission, but not closing. I like it better as the 2 openers and then her.
We did a Moms Night Out to a show at the Funny Bone in March! We purchased tickets online and noticed it was GA (General Admission). Our other two friends decided they wanted to go as well so they joined us. We looked up the time the doors opened to ensure we got there early and we could sit together and enjoy dinner and drinks. Once we got there, they gave us assigned seats which was very frustrating because we were NOT with our friends. We explained to them how our tickets say GA but they did not care and told us its a sold out show. They asked if we called to ahead to request to sit together and this was the first we were also hearing of this option because we most definitely would have called ahead. We got no email or anything to be told we were assigned seats not and to call to sit with other friends. We asked if they could move a random pair of 2 to a different seat who have not arrived yet they simply said no, please follow the usher. Once we got to our seats we tried to resolve the problem by asking people around us to switch seats with our friends but no one was willing so we went back out to the café area to hang with our friends until show time. Also another thing that was not covered when buying tickets is the 2 item minimum and if you buy one item from the café, it does not carry over to the performance area.We requested to talk to a manager (Sam) who listened to our concern, understood it, and said to give her time to see what she could do. Sam is the reason I am giving my review 5 stars. She took her time and ensured that she made her customers happy but finding us 4 seats together even it it was in the balcony which we didnt mind at all. There is not a bad seat at the funny bone! 5 stars to Sam and she is the reason we will be back to the Funny bone.Tips before you go: Book your tickets with your friends even it its GA. Call before you go to ensure youre with your friends. Plan to eat at the Funny Bone to hit your two item minimum that is not disclosed.
UPDATE to 5 🌟I did not think that the venue manager would see this review (see original at the bottom) so quickly. Shortly after we got to our table, we ordered our beverages and food. When we were almost done eating, the manager approached our table and apologized to us for the earlier mishap, and offered a discount on our meal.Overall, the show was hilarious, the food was excellent and the service was great. While my first impression was tarnished, the management does go above & beyond for their guests!----- Original -----This venue has incompetent staff. Purchased VIP tickets to an event, 1 staffer came out to the line and said anyone who has a VIP ticket does not have to stay in line. You can wait in the bar area. When the door opened, they started seating the GA ticket holders, leaving the VIP ticket holders left confused in the bar area. Another staffer then directed us to use another door. We started going in, and yet a 3rd staffer redirected us to go back in line.FIX YOUR STAFFER COMMUNICATION!
Good show, pleasant staff, wonderfully professional manager. Food was alright, alcoholic beverages were pricey but didnt come for that lol. Unfortunately, was seated far from stage, difficult to hear and see nicely. Overall, good visit and would recommend to others to book a show! Enjoy and Godspeed everyone!
We had a wonderful time and the food and drinks were good. D L Hughley was really funny. First time I saw him in person. My waitress was also very nice. Ill keep coming back!
Usually I have an amazing time at the Funny Bone with no issues but DL Hugley comes and my whole day was ruined. Me and my hubby were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary at Easton. We had an amazing VIP status dinner at the Ocean Club restaurant. Walk over to Funny Bone and learn that our front row in front of the mic VIP seat was taken because DL brought some friends.I understand that but they proceeded to escort us to the very back row in the corner. They refunded our money but I was very upset. The GM was very matter a fact and showed he cared not and for that this place gets a 1 star. Deliver the message with compassion, offer us free drinks, food something to compensate for the fact we went to the very front to the very back!!! Its still insane to me there was nothing they could do to improve our night. I dont plan to return... unless someone else is paying. Even then my expectations and hopes will be very low.
Had a blast. A little difficult to buy tickets, but $45 for VIP tickets was great.Problem is VIP should include meet and greet after, especially when you spend lots of money for food, etc.Three other comedians in addition to the lead was a bit much. They were funny, but we didn’t pay to see them. Seating in the first four rows was nice!
Kenny Mock last night was hilarious. Alingon Mitra who was the main act was average at best. Alingon’s jokes consisted of making fun of the sound of his voice, mops, the presidential debate, nationality and race. 75% id say of his jokes were laughable aside from just plain misogyny. He at one point stated, “I objectify women”…..wasnt even a joke, no punch line. Like what? There was maybe 1 guy that laughed. Come prepared to comedy acts to be offended but that was just being a jerk with nothing to show for it. The venue itself was adequately clean, some parts were better than others. Unfortunately there were a lot of people talking during the show and the seating was very uncomfortable near the front.
Unfortunately, the service interrupted our night. Server Riley was inattentive, I asked for a few things while ordering so as not to have her running back n forth in a dark room packed with people. I never got those things until I was nearly done eating and they were things I wanted while eating. Also she brought the check and tossed it over my fries, brought a fixed check and tossed it on my husbands fries. Then brought a box as if we were going to take them home and eat them. The Mgr refused our tickets and we left no tip. But I did get pics with the comics and engagement on their social media so the night wasnt a TOTAL bust🤷🏾♀️
This was a wonderful experience 2 relive. I havent been here in a while. Wonderfully staff and we sall the hilarious Aries Spears tare the stage up. Drinks 🍸 and clean lower and upper level. I love it when the comedian makes fun of the people in the audience . Im a good sport.. Lower and Upper level bar. Funnybone takes care of the comedy business..
Venue + show was great and staff was friendly + helpful. However, my girlfriend is severely allergic to Gluten so we asked for the gluten free salad. It came with croutons which is dangerously high in gluten. Told our waitress about it and they took it back and simply removed the croutons and served the same dish. She was severely ill for over a week because of this. Called the funny bone and told them to leave a message for the manager to call us back to somehow make it write vs a less than good review. That was over 4 weeks ago and no call back so... Was really hoping they would call back. If you are allergic to gluten do not eat here and anything that says gluten free on menu is cross contaminated.
Great time, Awesome set from DAMEN WAYNES FAF. Was laughing so hard that My chest started tightening UP. Waitress was AMAZING, She was always on the spot, took order without having to Write ANYTHING Down. All in Her memory And Everything that The 4 of Us ordered was sent out to Us, Drinks and ALL...
Great place for laughs!Been about 6 times over the last year to see big and little known comedians and each time the staff does a wonderful job. The big guy host is always quick witted in the welcome which always adds to the laughs. The food from the kitchen is good, except the mushrooms- didnt enjoy. One visit we had some fellow patrons ( aka drunks) act out and the security and waitstaff handled it flawlessly. Drinks prices are about expected to reasonable priced, see photo. Please like this review if helpful.
But tickets from the site and I recommend that you buy a whole table even if there are only two of you. Its tight and a table sits 4. Sometimes wait staff mix up the bill so check it. I always get the shrimp quesedilla because its great. Burger also good. Great place to see a comedian. Parking garage closest to venue is either the east or west garage either way enter the mall and its right there or just a walk to the other side. Parking is free
Thank you for returning to the old seating system based on date of ticket purchase! Food (used to be excellent but went downhill for a while) has improved but is still hit or miss. Please return option for the list view of all the shows on the website instead of the just the month/week view. Shows and wait service are awesome!
I went there to see a live show for the podcast Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet. We drove in from Ann Arbor, MI and it was well worth the drive. We had a fantastic time! The food was delicious and the server was very attentive and checked up on us often. I had the Smokehouse Nachos. My one suggestion would be to have at least some very dim lights on during the show, because I learned that its pretty difficult to eat nachos in complete darkness! (I still managed, though!) Overall a great experience and I would definitely go again if Im in the area!
Very tight accommodations!! Small tables; 4 chairs placed at what should have been a table for two. After we were seated we waited so long for a member of wait staff to take our drink order, then I finally just walked out to the bar and ordered. As soon as I got back to the table, waitress saw me with drinks in my hand and immediately advised me of the 2 drink minimum. I said okay, just got the first one. She curtly grabbed the sign on the table and put it in my face and said 2 drinks at the table. I said I went to the bar because no one came to the table after 10+ minutes. Then she promptly turned around and walked away. From that point on she was at the table approx every 5 minutes asking for a drink order... obviously making a point and disrupting the show for us.As far as the show goes, pretty disappointed with the headliner. Opener was much better. 12/22.
The club was clean and well kept. Service was great. The food looked good; we didnt eat. Tim Dillon was hilarious. There are many fake businesses, but the Funny Bone is not one of them.
Absolutely loved the show. Gary Owen was hilarious. The atmosphere was cool, very intimate. It was crowded and everyone was crammed together. The food was a bit bland. The Grown Up Kool Aide was pretty good and for $10.50, you keep the souvenir glass. There was one obnoxious laugher but the guy probably couldnt help it. Overall it was a great time, and I would return. Definitely reccomend a renovation soon. It would be a lot more comfortable if they did.
I enjoyed the comedians! I was however upset about the seating. My boyfriend purchased VIP seating for us to enjoy his all time favorite comedian, ##bigjayoakerson, and we even got there an hour early to ensure we got front row. I did call before to ask how they arranged the seating due to no number for the seat on our eticket. I was informed that it is first come first serve and that the first 4 rows are for VIP seating. So I thought, great well get there super early to ensure a front seat. No! We were the first to be seated, but we were placed behind the handicap box and when I said I did not want to sit there, I was rudely told there was nothing they could do. I am disappointed in the customer service and the misinformation I was given.
Comedian Theo Von deserves a 5+ Stars as he was extremely fun to watch! The table service we received was a different story: starting off with a waitress who couldn’t remember our order and struggled by only dealing with two of us at a time... drinks and food! We were in the first seats front row stage right Sunday night. She brought drinks to us by spilling my dates drink on her pants and sweater, acted like she didn’t notice then said maybe she’d get her a towel. She never mentioned it again!! She continued to mix everything up and at the end even had our bill and the two guys sharing our table’s food mixed on our bills. My tab was $70 at first, then it was $10.. I finally walked away as we needed to line up for the M&G while things were only kinda sorted out. The final receipt/tab was placed in liquid on the table so we couldn’t even read it! No help was given and she sought none and no one else was available for us to explain that this waitress kept a perfect night from happening... $55/ticket for Theo Yes, $0 for the Funny Bone.
I recently visited the Funny Bone. The Show was Hour and Half. It was funny. The sitting was crazy! Packed together, no room to breathe. Too dark when they turned down the lights. It should be bright lights at the table or on the floor.People stepping on your feet when they walk by. Some if the Waiters and Waitress was rude and didnt know what they were doing. They need to carry flashlights. The Tickets are over priced, the food over priced small portions. The bought out some over cooked $18 Chicken wings, little bowl of $11 Spinach Dip, $11 little bowl Salad drowned in salad dressing and not fresh. Water down Drinks $14. If you want the Customer to pay more. They need to make some changes. Less people per a Show, have more Show times. Food should be cooked well and good portions. Drinks should be not be watered down or less Alcohol. The Staff should have Customer Service training and know the menu, make sure the Customer ok. Safety she come first when it comes to seating and setting up the Tables. They should stop serving food after Hour of the Show starting or get more Cooks. Maybe change to a smaller menu. The security should check people at the door for weapons and Women should carry small handbags. Give people free Tickets or a free meal and Drink for their Birthday. They will have to show proof its their Birthday.
Love the renovations. Great acts. The chicken tenders are definitely the go to meal on the menu.
Great little venue to see a show. Good food and good drinks as well. Staff is super friendly
I love the atmosphere here. I had never been until February of 2023. Now I have been 3 times and have a few more trips planned. Food is good, drinks are amazing, staff is wonderful and plenty of laughs to go around.
I think the update a few years back really opened the place up. I didnt go on a night when they had local opening acts, but in the past, they have been a riot. I have never really been much for ordering food or drinks here bc I hate the waiter having us pay as the comedian is finishing their best material. That hasnt changed, but not worth knocking a star off for people doing their job
Had a great time for my sister laws birthday 🎂
The show was really good but the service was so awful! We got there about 15 minutes before the show. Got seated and ordered, drinks, appetizers and food. We got our drinks relatively quick, but then we waited and waited for food. The server finally came with silverware and said your food should be here any minute. Well, the show ended (1hour and a half)and no food. We (and many others) then had to wait at another 20-30 minutes to just pay for our drinks. No apology and our waitress never came back. We had to pay through another server. A tip was already charged on our bill. Such bad customer service! The manager never even came out to apologize. I will not be returning any time soon!
Outstanding staff, food was great and of course the comics were fantastic!! Had a great night. Uber drops off and picks you up in front of Brio. Everything was AWESOME!!!!
Had a fantastic time came from Cincinnati with a few friends to see Eric Andre and it was amazing, the house drinks with the souvenir glass was a cool deal with some delicious drinks. The service during the show is great and the waiters are great , even during the show they are able to get drinks without disrupting the show 10/10. It was a great experience and a lot of fun
I’ve seen so many comedians perform here. Most of them made me laugh so hard that I cried, at least one time. Years ago there was a lady named Tiffany that performed. She was the most memorable and I’d love to see her again. She said things that made me embarrassed. It was great!! She was great and I hope she has grown as an artist. On top of the performers being funny, the food and service is outstanding too. I can’twait to return for another night of laughs!!
Dont even want to leave a one star but you have to but we got kicked out of the show because we were laughing too hard but it wasnt even because the show was funny, it was because the show was not funny and we got denied any adult drinks beforre the main show. A waste of money if you ask me. Beyond pissed.
Very nice place to see a comedy act we got to see The Hodgetwins the wait staff was awesome and on point all night everything was clean and very well maintained it was very orderly to get in and out and about the only complaint I could say is the seats get a little hard on the butt after about the first 30 minutes so maybe add some more padding to the chairs but other than that I would definitely go back for another show!
I enjoyed the show. The comedians were amazing. My only issue was the staff. I gave a tip for bad service. Took forever to get my drinks ordered, even longer to get them. My friend had to actually leave the show to go order food. Enjoy that 20%, never again.
Not bad. Its a bit tight in there, but makes for an intimate setting. Great for date night. I would opt for eating elsewhere, the food isnt bad, but it could be better. Drinks are okay; they come with a souvenir glass. I think theres a two item purchase minimum. And in standard fashion 20% gratuity is applied to parties of eight it more. I plan on going here more often. ***Cellular reception is sketchy in there.
I do not take it lightly when I make my reviews. I am always cautious and thinking how my experience will impact the business and the workers. Unfortunately last night we experienced something unusual at the Funny Bone. No one came to the table take our order. After waiting 20 minutes my Boyfriend went to the front to ask for assistance. Once the female server finally came to the table she was very abrasive, rude and non apologetic in regards to the lack of attention. Her comment is “Do you want something or not because I can go help other people. Tony Baker was funny as usual. I still left a tip of $20 and hopefully whatever caused her attitude the tip was a reminder to not be a A hole to people.
There was about 10 Comedians they were funny and I enjoyed the show. I recommend the Funnybone.
Ordered food, they ran out of what I ordered. Never told me and closed the kitchen. I only found out when I asked and waitress said sorry there’s nothing I can do. Ridiculous
Really enjoyed our night out. A double date! Had good laughs, and good drinks. The soft pretzels were AMAZING! My mouth is watering thinking about them. Lol. The wait staff was more than accommodating. Great at meeting our needs while the show was on.
Great experience only issue I had was the table size a bit to small seeing that you have to share with another couple
Good lineup of comedians and service is terrific. Food is adequate but nothing to write home about. Beer selection is modest but server got me what I wanted. Place is clean and nicely decorated. Would come back again for the right comedian.
Today was a great day from the time I talked to Ms. Moon to the time the show started. First Ms.Moon was just freaking fantastic with the way she handle my call today 😍 to seat me with my friends. To the time I received my food (which was delicious). To the time the show started Dc Curry was just hilarious. Overall the Staff was great. The place was very nice and clean. I will definitely be back to the funnybone. I am yall number one fan.
Food and service were great. The show itself was not impressive.
Facility is great. Food not so much. My only real complaint is they interrupted me towards the end of the show to pay the tab. I get it but I traveled a good distance to see Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and to be interrupted during her Nail skit really made me mad.
Been to my fair share of comedy venues. I have never been so comfortable at a show (except for my head). Our seats were great, had a good look at the fine line up they offered. We were treated to a wonderful show and great service. I had an opportunity to check an item off my bucket list. I got to see Tony Roberts Live. The black one. He is soo funny everyone head and tummy were hurting from laughter. I dare you to find another venue that allows close access to performers, a cozy atmosphere, and good drinks. Very glad I went!
I’m a huge comedy buff. In both my experiences at clubs, and in speaking with comedians, this is consistently one of the best funny bones around. From the audience standpoint, it standard affair. Drinks are perfectly fine, food is fine (which is saying a lot for a comedy club, food often sucks) and the venue is comfy. From the comedians standpoint, they repeatedly say how the staff is very attentive and that the audiences are some of the best in the nation because they just get it. I go all the time and will continue to!
Saw a great show, but also the service was fantastic. Our server was on top of everything and when the show started, they continued to provide drinks and food without at all distracting from the performance. Very enjoyable time.
Dont eat here.Until they understand how bad the food is and make drastic changes, you shouldnt eat here unless youre starving to death. We ordered the nachos, wings, and mozzarella sticks, all terrible. But we did enjoy the comedy. I would give the experience 5 stars if they didnt serve food, so everything else is great.
The place is awesome. we had a great time. Every time I have been there, it was great. Dont know why I waited so long to go in between visits.
Went with a group of 10 and reserved a table. They didnt have us at one table and werent willing to move us. The employees were nice, especially our server. The show was a doozie, and everything was way overpriced.
Our waiter was not very attentive. The food made us both sick. The comedians were funny. Near the end of the show some buffoon employee came up to us and said “this is your final warning, next time you’re outta here”. We had not been warned about anything prior to that so we’re not sure why he said that. Needless to say we won’t be back. The place is not well managed and it is never OK to yell at customers who have paid for tickets and the lousy overpriced food and the overpriced watered down drinks. If thy don’t start treating people better they will go out of business.
Visited here last night 11/5/22 for the Dusty Slay show & couldn’t complain about one thing. The staff was excellent, the bar tenders were terrific, the overall atmosphere of the place is awesome. The stage area is really neat. Definitely would come back!
Marlon Wayans was hilarious as well as the other 2 comedians. Wait staff could have been faster with getting drinks and food to the table. They made sure they brought the bill quickly.
Comedians were great, drinks appeared watered down unless You check them on it early!!
The show was funny but my strawberry daiquiri with a double shot was $27. To add insult to injury you couldn’t taste any alcohol. I’ll go back but won’t waste my money on their drinks.
Was there during the early afternoon private DSACO event. Oh yes the acoustics are marvelous. Ive been there several times before and also had a great time at those comedy/musical events. The members of the company also serve tables when not on stage. Please support this fun place of entertainment.
Love everything about it except when the servers come around and collect money while the show is still going on. There are much better ways to handle that without all of the interruptions. Probably missed 20% of the show because of it.
Had a great time seeing Big Jay. Bummed I forgot my cup, but we will be back hopefully in May!
We were there lastnight. It was a good experience and the guy (Tony Rock) was funny. Almost as funny as his brother Chris. The type of comedic profession he presented resembled a heckler type personality, and many of his jokes were race related. White people this and that. Black people this and that.Once again, I enjoyed the experience..I really did. In todays culture, theres no need to keep racism alive. If youre not sure why, maybe youre the reason. The establishment was great.Location Hilliard. Interesting...
Loved DeRay as I always do. The service is good. They fact they stuff you in there like sardines is crazy, and that you can not pick you table not cool. I paid for VIP thinking I would be closer to the stage nah. I will say u get a pretty good view from anywhere in the club but the whole packed in close like that is just crazy for me. Covid still around you know. Plus Im 61 I need a lil extra leg room lol.
I have been here so many times and will continue. I have never had a bed experience at all. Ive had the privilege of sitting front row for multiple comics that I love and crack me up
Nice atmosphere to go take in a comedy show. Drinks are a bit on the high side, but you do get a complimentary cup to take home. They also wait at the table for you during the show. Good selection of comedians from around the area and beyond. Well, worth a fun night on the town
Always a great time at the FB! They bring in amazing nationally known talent; theres no bad seat in the house; the staff is amazing; food is top notch: and drinks are great! Highly recommend.
Came here from Milwaukee to see Atsuko Okatsuko... she killed it! See her if you can!!I was very efficiently escorted to my seat, didnt have to wait too long for a server to take my order and got my drink promptly.
Went to see Sommore and she was funny from start to finish; the opening comedian was funny too, forgot his name. Waitresses be on it with that 2 item minimum purchase. Overall good experience.
Horrible show, kicked someone for no reason then made a thing about it the whole show. Service was horrible nobody came for 45 minutes no drinks nothing and the one person they thru out was because he vocalized about it. By the time they came I didnt want anything anymore. Terrible I wont be back its no wonder they have to give out tickets.
Love this place. The perfect size great drinks. Food is typical. Sometimes service is a bit slow
A friend and myself visit the Funny Bone October 2022 for the Gary Owen comedy performance, and perform he did. Upon arrival we explored the drink menu at the open bar and was serviced by the bartender Richard. I requested a beverage to be prepared in a particular way that takes many steps and a lot of time. Richard produce my request with gusto, he was polite, patient, quick, efficient, and attentive. The clubs Eat-In theater has host and servers to provide guest with table service, however the delivery time of service was not ideal, taking up to 20 minutes to receive a glass of water. In response to the wait time and our thirst level I returned to the bar twice throughout the show to retrieve glasses of water. If you would like to experience the beverage and food menu during your visit at the Funny Bone I recommend arriving early, ordering drinks and food at the bar, and carrying your refreshments to your table. My overall experience was enjoyable and fun and I will visit the funny bone again in the future.
Great venue, performers and staff! I saw Joe Gatto yesterday. It was a great performance and such a memorable time! He had a meet-and-greet afterward and was absolutely amazing! He took time to really connect with fans! The ticket price was worth it! I also want to thank the staff who went above and beyond! One waitress came out after the show to find us when we forgot our souvenir cups to ensure we got them. Also, another staff member made the experience extra special for my sister when Joe made her part of his show (wish I wouldve asked for his name because he deserves recognition, but she did take a pic with him. He was awesome)! Thank you so much Columbus Funny Bone for the wonderful experience! Highly recommend!!
Very enjoyable evening. Seating a little tight and servers took awhile to take orders. Shrimp plate was delicious. Pomegranate Martini was the best! Overall nice venue.👍
Service was great, food was good. VIP seating was so good! The prices were reasonable as heck. We had a blast at the funny bone. Never been before, but Ill go again after this show!
Although I really enjoyed the ambiance of this venue and the quality of the comedians who performed, the customer service of this venue is the reason I’m giving two stars. We ordered food well before the cut off time (something as simple as fries) and not only was it not brought at all, there was no communication about the status of the order, the fact that it wasn’t coming, and no explanation for why it ultimately did not come. Not even an apology. The experience would’ve been much better with the small bites since that was our planned dinner. Not sure if we will return
I had not been to the funny bone in years. We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was everything. The drinks were loaded. Careful for someone whos a lightweight like me.
The comedians were amazing. The resturant.. horrible. Literally forgot or entire tables food order.... like never got our food the entire time and then had to tell the server we werent going to pay for food we never received when she brought the check!! Starving and super annoyed.
We saw some comedians here and they were hilarious. I saw some other reviews stating drinks were just okay and I agree. Ive had better margaritas but Ive also had worse. Space is tight, but the show was hilarious.
My experience was awesome. First time here and besides the run around looking for this place which is located inside the Easton Mall we enjoyed ourselves. The food was hot and delicious and the staff was tremendous. We went to see John Morgan and to us he was hilarious!! We will definitely return
I was there to see none other than Matt McClowry and Dave Landau. I laughed until I choked on my beverage. This place always has class acts booked. Its comfortable and inviting. The staff are great. And only through hunger insanity did I purchase a burger for 17 bucks. But dont let that deter you, the food is delicious. Great acts, great food, great staff. As a bonus youll never have to worry about parking. Park in the garage and go into the mall.
I had an excellent time. We came for my birthday and to see Tony Roberts. He was awesome. The prices were cheaper than I expected. I will definitely be back whether its this location or another one. It is tight seating so I wore my mask as I saw a few others that did as well. I had a strawberry daiquiri and my husband had a coke and some mozzarella sticks. I ate beforehand as other reviews said the food wasnt good. He said the mozzarella sticks were really good to him. Also, got a chance to take a picture with Tony.
Ive been to the Columbus Funny Bone before (and FBs in other states), but I think our most recent visit will be our last for a while. I was very disappointed in the staff. I already had tickets, but had forgotten that I was supposed to just walk in rather than approach the ticket booth. I walked up, and stood there while two reps in the glass booth literally saw me, ignored me, and continued their conversation. After standing there awkwardly with zero recognition, I just walked away and went inside. The person scanning tickets was rude, the person who led us to our seats was irritated, and to be clear we were not late or anything. I have no idea what was up everyones rear end, but it was NOT welcoming especially given how much these seats cost. I was also surprised to see theres now a two-item per person requirement to purchase. Excuse me? On top of tickets that are that expensive, youre going to do that too? Its a giant middle finger to anyone whos already dined elsewhere (which we did). I like the venue a lot, and I dont think there really is a bad seat in the house, but I think Im done with it. Its not worth treated like youre an inconvenience and an annoyance, plus dealing with the insane amount of traffic at Easton on a Saturday night either.
Our server Arianna was amazing! Best service I have had in a long time!Ill comment on the funny bone itself only because each comedian is different from each other. I will say if you take what the comedians say seriously then stand up isnt for you. The food was excellent! I had the chicken cub sandwich with loaded fries and they did not disappoint, it was so good! My GF had the comedy club sandwich with regular fries and it was just as good! The reason for the 4 stars is because as awesome as the act was, as delicious as the food was and as excellent as the service was, the seats were not comfortable for sitting at all, especially for 2-3 hours. I will still return for the future shows and enjoy the entertainment that funny bone provides. We saw Dale Jones and I couldnt stop laughing! He was very good.
I ordered loaded fries when it came to the table fries wasnt loaded and there was maybe a half of a palm full of fries on the plate. There was a ĺot of mistakes coming from the kitchen. I wasnt the only one whose food was messed up. Comedy club sandwich was ok. Overall food was just mediocre at best. I will definitely come back for the comedy but wont order food again.
Have never seen a bad show here. top notch comedians every time i come. only downside is drinks could be a little stiffer. but my wife and i always enjoy the show
I absolutely love coming here. The entertainment is always great and the staff are courteous and as accommodating as they can be.I tend not to get meals because the food just seems overpriced for what you get (nothing gourmet) but it has always been decent. Just plan on spending slightly more than you would for a similar product elsewhere.Post Covid this has been a new experience. They were only at about half capacity the last time I came and tonight were back to almost full capacity. While I understand that ticket sales are the money maker I never enjoy the feeling I get when I see the chairs/tables as close as they are. As a bigger person it is very uncomfortable to have a chair directly behind/in front of someone to the point that you have to straddle their chair for leg room or hip space. As someone who tries to maintain their distance having spaces this close to others is also uncomfortable. Luckily we were two people at a table of four but the next table was still less than an arm length away.Other than space this place is so much fun. I love comedy and always appreciate being able to see some pretty big names at a local establishment without having to pay an exorbitant amount of money. If you are a frequent flier here you will notice that ticket prices have raises slightly but nothing that isn’t to be expected after a business had to shut down for a year.I will continue to frequent this establishment and find ways to stretch my legs as the set rolls on.
The acts are almost always great. I go to have a laugh often not knowing who is there and always enjoy the performance. The drinks however were not good. I got a top shelf long island, my wife a margarita and both were pretty bad tasting. Ill stick with a beer next time. The pretzel sticks were a pleasant surprise and delicious.
I go to the Funny Bone a lot for laughs.I love it there. I only have 2 complaints.#1. Please bring back the 3 cheese mac & cheese with the smoked gouda cheese.#2. Please bring back the Turkey Reuben sandwich. Thanks!
Very nice venue with lots of seating. We had a great time seeing The Minimalists! We got there with enough time to order food and drink before the show started and had everything to our table very quickly. The food was good. Our waitress was very nice!
Ive been here a few times they get top notch talents. Only got dessert appetizer and alcohol which all was quite good. The servers were the worst part. Never brought me utensils had to get myself. Drinks came late like that the people we were with got theirs and finished before we got ours. And they were impatient like they rather be doing something else.
Nice place and the food was good. I suggest getting there early and having dinner before the show
The funny bone is a great place to relax and laugh. Prepare for some colorful language and adult conversation, its a comedy show! They have a great bar and good food. Most food options are typical of handheld items like burgers and chicken sandwiches. There are limited Vegan choices, I went with a black bean dip that was good with pita bread and blue corn chips. The beer bucket was the best choice for our table of four. If you need cocktails, they seem to have anything you can think of.
Schuler King was hilarious, the food was good, and the staff was nice.My main issue was the seating situation and how close everyone was. It was difficult to see the stage because the table in front of us was separated by a tiny aisle, but it was DIRECTLY in front of us. Trying to see through 4 heads was pretty difficult and took away from the experience. Also, it would be nice if space allowed them to offer single tables of 2 instead of just shared tables of 2 which seats you with another couple.Overall, we had a great time.
Saw Tony Baker tonight. All of the comics were funny. It was a great line up... But he was hysterical! The staff was friendly and the drinks were good.
My best friend Lynnell bought tickets for her birthday to see this particular comedian at the Funny Bone and she invited me and some of her closest friends out to celebrate with her. I would go back to the Funny Bone because I felt the comedians were funny & definitely entertaining!!! I am glad I gave this experience a chance. 🙂
Great atmosphere, glad we got to go and spend time with the fam while listening to some good comedy! We got to sit in the back but it was a small stage and still felt like we got to be a part of the show.
I go quite often seen a few acts it’s always the same. You stand in a long line before you enter so you should just go to the bar and get a drink while passes because the service is a little slow inside besides that everything was nice.
Fantastic! SirQuora was a wonderful server. She juggled our table (which included drinks, appetizers, meals, and desserts) as well as all of her other tables and still managed to be very personable. Short wait for great food. Of course the entertainment was great as well. We saw Josh Blue.
Comedians were great. Server did a great job. Food was fine, not fabulous, but we werent there for the food. Enjoyable evening.
It was very delightful with Ed bassmaster and I would have appreciated a little bit more space also it was very chaotic where my food was forgot about but my husband and I enjoyed it very well
Had a great time with friends. Had a private table. Comedians had me in stitches. Only negative was that I spent almost $75 on 1 mixed drink and a bucket of beer(5 beers). Overall a fulfilled time!
We went to see Juston McKinney for a special engagement and rare Ohio appearance. He didnt disappoint! Juston worked with the audience in a respectful way. We had a great time. The venue itself is not a large place, which makes all the seats good. We did have some trouble finding it, after Google guided is to a gym. We were able to find it in the mall acrossed from Legoland.
For tall people or big people plese get better seat for you to set down
They are not kidding when they say close seating... thats the main reason for the 4 star review. The burgers were great and theyre drink selection was pretty decent too. The lower seating gives a great view of the stage, which was nice.
Had an amazing experience on our recent visit to Funny Bone! We had a large group that booked separate tables for the Matteo Lane Show. I called about 2 weeks before to request our tables be put all together for the show. The gentleman on phone was very patient and accommodating when i gave him all the reservation names. The day of the show, there was one table that was sat away from the rest so I went back to the front area to see if they could be sat along with us. The line was quite long and it was very busy so I know it was an inconvenience but the manager I believe checked our reservation and discovered that there were 2 reservations under same last name so he then moved our one table to the front by the rest of us. I know under the same circumstances that many others wouldn’t bother to assist us and so I was very pleased with there customer service! We all had a great time & We will def be back!!! Thanks!!!
First time at the Funny Bone last Saturday. Atmosphere was great! Place was jammed pack and our waitress still got to us in a timely manner. Shared a bucket of beer for $26 and got a quesadilla (which was not bad). Over all a fun date night and would definitely go back!
Atmosphere was pleasant. Im glad they introduced local Columbus comedians. Two qualms is:1) you HAVE to buy 2 food/drink items if you attend a show (company policy) despite paying admission2) their waitstaff is dependent on people ordering food an probably are not being paid a livable wage. Their service around the audience was phenomenal btw.Pro: Appreciation for the artsCon: a system that does not cater to people of all income classes
I saw Pete Lee and he was hysterical!! It was my first time to go to a comedy club and I have to go again! My friends took me for my birthday and we had a wonderful time! The place was clean. The service was great! The parking was free in the West parking garage. The guy that opened up the show was great too! The only downside is the traffic. It is horrible. Give yourself plenty of time to get there. Theres also lots of places to do some shopping. At Easton the stores are like Tiffanys and Cartier. Im sure there are cheaper options too.
Recommendation- DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON VIP SEATING. Tonight we attempted to attend the D.L.Hughley show but were taken aback when our VIP seats were behind the ADA wheelchair-accessible lifting box. Translation- we paid $232 for 4 people to sit in the first row behind a 4-foot wall. If it weren’t a ‘sold out’ show, that table would not be situated there because it’s meant to be an ADA-accessible pathway for someone in a wheelchair. While we did receive a refund, both the floor manager and supervisor were rude and unapologetic about the obstructed ‘VIP’ view.People will continue to spend their money at the Funny Bone but it would be more beneficial, and worth your money, to pay for the cheaper tables because THEN you can at least see the comedian you paid to see.
Saw Sommore. She was awesome. Seating was tight but manageable. Service was slow. Food was just okay.
My family and I always have a great time here! Get there early and enjoy drinks at the bar. Bartenders are awesome:) Enjoy shareables or a meal during the show and if yiu have a drink from the bar, you csn take that in with you.Dave, one of the servers, is also awrsome. Hope we get him everytime now:)
Saw Tony Baker and plan on going back! Great venue for a show!!
The comic we saw was hilarious but the problem I have with this place is we had to share a super tiny table that was big enough for two people with two other people. Yes thats right, four people at a table made for two. We are packed in like sardines. Im not worried about it because of covid, I dont like it because I dont like touching other people when Im sitting there eating and laughing and having a good time. The drinks were a bit pricey. $20 for one double Gray goose and cranberry. The food was not good. I just dont want to be touching other people. And Id like to have my own table. I understand thats how they do it, but Im not going back for those reasons.
Great show.. service was great..the hosts checked on us frequently. The main act and opening acts were all hilarious. Would definitely come back.
My first time at the Funny Bone and I really liked it. The comedians were pretty funny and there was a good crowd, pretty much full house. I got the big kid kool-aid drink and it was good and cost $11.50. I will definitely go back again.
The talent that comes here is amazing. Most seats have a great view. Food was good but overpriced and was brought out when talent was on stage so was very difficult to see your food when they turned the lights down. Easy to knock things over when they dont clear the small table of plates and empty glasses.
Love this place! Will be returning
Oh the comedy acts were great, but the Funny Bone establishment has a two purchase per person policy. Now what if you dont want to eat or drink anything? What if youre just coming for the show? Youve already purchased a ticket why do you have to purchase something to eat or drink in their establishment?? Have times gotten that hard that these places have to force you to buy something when you pay to come into their establishment?? I like to eat and have a beverage and enjoy myself wherever I go, but to be told that Im forced to is a whole nother level and issue for me!!
Went to see John Heffernan. He was great and the service was good. My biggest issue is the seating and chairs. They squeezed 8 of us in a space about 4 ft×6 ft. There were empty tables and no one was upstairs. The chairs need some padding too. Its a long time to sit on hard chairs. I will think twice before going back because of the seating
We had a great time seeing Tony Baker! The atmosphere was good and the food was delicious. Drink were certainly more than a typical bar but only a little more. The drinks were well made and the beer selection was good.
Great shows here, Great list of comedians. Never diappointed by the talent. I have been dragged here and never been diappointed by the act. Service is always slower and prices high but this time our app and meal were clearly forgotten and both arrived at least an hour after ordering. We werent able to eat the app and meal before the show was over so we asked the waiter to do the right thing and take off the wasted chips and dip, he didnt. With some good management it could be a 4-5 but should be a 2 tonight. They have good comedians here and it is certainly a challenge to turn over a crowd. I guess just expect some kind of service issue on top of being a captive audience heald hostage by drink/food prices. Just be happy they let you be entertained here is the feeling I get. Fun but certainly room for improvement.
A lot depends on the actual talent booked for the evening, and we had an excellent time with Josh Blue! The place was packed on a Sunday night before holiday, but the wait staff did a great job serving everyone in time for the show and throughout the show. The warm-up acts held their own and were quite enjoyable as well. I would definitely recommend this for an adult evening out.
I would have given them a 5-Star but after calling early in the week an discussing the seating arrangement we still ended up in the balcony (front row). Please please please bring back where we can be advised on the seating availability!!! We embraced not being able to buy less than 2 tickets (in most cases 4) but come on help us out here guys!!! But l seen Aries Spears and the show was amazing!
Comedy show was awesome, venune a little tight, and food was mediocre at best when ordering food or drinks try and get it all done in one go serves have a hard time getting around quick enough with a packed show
Show tonight was great overall first time here. Would expect more spread out seating and double shot drinks didn’t seem to contain alcohol 😢 But the performance was great just feel they could space people out better and put more liquor in the drinks
Rickey Smiley was Great but the seating is terrible, we didnt get to sit where tickets said and seating just to close for Me,Waitress was Good she had a lot people to serve but she did it with a Smile, heard this place was remodeled take some of those tables out please.
Went here back in February for the first time to see Eric Andre. I was nervous at first because it was very busy and I am terrible in crowds. But once we got in and got seated, I was fine. The drink staff was excellent, fast and friendly! I even got a glass cup for cheaper drinks, it was really nice! (Sadly my cat broke it) I have noticed they have great and varied shows all the time. I will definitely go again.
This was our first time at the Funny Bone. We had and absolute blast. Our drinks were great also. The onion rings were great. The brownie dessert was really dry but everything else about this place was wonderful. Will definitely recommend and come back in the future.
This place should be fun to go to instead they serve you cold food and warm beer and charge you like your at a 4/5 star restaurant, $10 for 4 small cheese sticks is disrespectful, and then they bring a cold raw chicken quesadilla. Would hate to work for this club, they make the show no fun and it reflects back on the wait staff. We bought a 4 person table for almost $200 and got sat in the very top very back bar seating absolutely shameful.
Went and saw Steve-O live and it was awesome! I would say its a little crowded and cramped at the tables when it is at full capacity but its not too bad. The food was pretty good, nothing to write home about but good enough to enjoy over some laughs. I did think the food was a little over priced though. I will definitely come back sometime to check out more of their shows! Would be great for a date night.
We were really excited to laugh tonight. Arrived at 6 to order drinks and dinner. Took a good 10+ minutes to order drinks and another 10+ minutes to receive the drinks. A few minutes before 7 we gave up and took my bottle of wine to the bar to cork it and pay our tab. Another ordeal because supposedly our sever (who wasn’t around anyway) had to come do that. The manager appeared about the time Paul was throwing cash down on the bar to cover everything. Unfortunately by this time what little patience we had left was completely gone. It wouldn’t be a big deal if everyone around us was not getting service but people who arrived after us were eating when we left. We’re on our way to hopefully find dinner now. 😡 BTW the manager tried to make it right...we had just had it. So kudos to him!
Amazing experience. Went to see Big Jay Okerson and had the best time. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating from the girls at the ticket counter to the servers everyone we met was very nice and more than willing to help us and make sure we had a great time. We got a table directly in front of the stage and Big Jay even talked to us for a few minutes. We dont get to do things like this much since we had our daughter so that made it that much better that everything was so perfect. Amazing food and drink. The whole place was very clean including the bathrooms which was surprising considering the amount of people who were there. Wish I could rate them 10 stars because they definitely deserve it
Not too bad. Food was okay, but not as great as I recall from visiting in past. Service a bit slower, but very friendly servers. Had to adjust tickets and they were great both on phone and when we arrived. They got us all taken care of. The talent is always great and I have never gone and NOT had a great laugh and a great time!
Nice atmosphere. Drinks were good and we loved the chicken quesadillas. Seating was ok however tables are small, can seem cramped. Parking was great in the garage
Came here to see Kev in stage with my buddies on a Friday night. The staff was super friendly and prompt, even though it was a packed house. I will definitely be back for another show. Absolutely worth it.
It was a good experience overall. Perfect for a night out for a variety of reasons. The entertainment was great and the food was surprisingly good. My only gripe would be the seating arrangements. First, the chairs themselves were a lil rough. I wouldnt mind a few booths. Secondly, you dont know where youre sitting til you get there and its a possibility that a random stranger is seated at your table if there is an open chair. All in all though, had a great night!
Great venue to see national talent at a fair price. I have attended 3 shows and all have been wonderful. The venue is small enough so there really is not a bad seat in the house. Great night out to mix things up highly recommend. Drinks can get a bit pricey but not as bad as stadium pricing.
The hummus plater is a delicious appetizer. Servers are friendly and efficient. Talent is great!
I had a nice time. I saw comedian Godfrey. I gave them four stars because I don’t like that it’s mandatory that we order 2 items. It took an hour for a simple quesadilla to come out. And the seats were a little uncomfortable. But the show was pretty cheap. It only cost $25 to purchase a ticket. PLUS the 2 item minimum.
We arrived and sat in the bar waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, very friendly and prompt bartenders. We then went to our seats which were reserved based on when we bought our tickets which put us right up at the front which was amazing. The server was very knowledgeable friendly and helpful and did a good job upselling without being overbearing. Food was very good. My wife and I started with the Bavarian pretzels and split the wings and the Cubano for our entree. I got sweet potato fries with honey mustard, thanks to the advice from our server, which was amazing. Best of all for the night were the main attraction, the comedians who were all amazingly funny. Dave Landau is the best. Everything was great, would highly recommend
I had the best time here tonight saw Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson. (Jason Morgan and Damian Spinelli from General Hospital) if you ever get a chance to see them perform, Go!I was late to get there due to Google maps but the staff was awesome. Took me right in to my front row seat, waiter came directly and took my drink order, then a little later came back and I got food. The potato skins were to die for! They have pulled pork on top of them. Superb!
On this particular i was unorganized. The tickets said its best to arrive by 9pm and the show will start at 8 pm. They didnt start seating until 945. Luckily i had on a pair of flats. The servers never really checked in to see if we need anything else until a hour after being seated. The experience was not great but the comedians helped make up for that.
Regardless of the performer (who was Nick Swardson on this particular occasion and was awesome) this is a premier spot in Columbus. The staff is friendly and attentive. They manage to fill a house while maintaining a sense of privacy and intimacy with the people you came with. There is plenty of space. The food and drinks were good. Everything was timely and well delivered.Overall, the Funny Bone is a delightful experience that I promise we will be returning to time and time again.
The Funnybone is a fun place to see comedians. They serve food but we did not eat there. The ticket prices $48 per person was ok but dont think it will get you on the main floor. This got us on the 2nd level which was the balcony, and theres a 3rd level. Drinks were ok but not strong enough. We will go back.
I loved the show/club, but the service left SO MUCH to be desired. For about half of the night, I was distracted and mostly unable to pay attention to the show as I was desperately trying to find our server. Then, he would randomly drop off drinks that we didnt order to our table/other tables around us. Id like to believe it was an honest mistake, but I honestly think they just drop them off and hope you are too drunk to notice you didnt order (or want to pay for) another drink.TL;DR - great performers, bad/sketchy service.
Good sized venue given location. Better food than I was expecting and the service was excellent. Both comics I saw were hilarious. Overall an excellent experience and will definitely be back again.
Great little place!! Atmosphere was cozy, laid back. They have food and lots to drink. Parked on the second level one lol and walked right into Easton and its right through the door to the right. The seating is a little tight but not bad. Its a great date night!
This place was so fun ! I was hanging on every line from the comedian. We had lots of good laughs. I was shocked at how cheap drinks were. The wait staff were all super friendly and refilled our drinks quickly. We will be coming back our next trip !
Great experience and loved the show, just a bit crowded with how close you are to everyone. Food and drinks were good. My order was taken but didnt get my food with the others at my table but they did make up for it.
Paid for VIP table for 4 Only to have a shared table for 8 ridiculous. Spoke with manager who offered absolutely no correction. You sit on top of each other to begin with but to pay extra and still have to share unacceptable!
