Recently went to Glen Ivy for the evening admission and dinner. The pool and hot baths felt so good. After the mud, our skin was so soft. I also got the 20 massage which was really needed. I have also had the full massage experience here and it was amazing. I also like the shop.. there are so many amazing bath products there! I really hope I will get back there soon for another experience!
I absolutely LOVE this place! My sisters and I live in different states and for the last 3 years we have made it an annual trip to go to Glen Ivy and we always enjoy the experience. Whether you get a service or just enjoy the many amenities, it is always awesome. I would 100% recommend and definitely worth the price. My one and only complain would be the restaurant, for some reason every time we go they either forget one of our meals and end up waiting a while or we get our food cold.
Yes I had a reservation. Booked in 3-4 months in advance and also went on a Monday. If I were asked to leave a review 2-3 years ago, I would have given this place 5. But lately, Glen Ivy has lost its touch in so many areas. For starters, they over book. They allow WAY too many people inside. So many that it takes 30-45 minutes to check in. Mind you I was there right when it opened. They have no showers available, again, they over book. And it just irritates me that people are not mindful of keeping their voice levels down to “spa voices”. I remember coming here in 2017-2018 and I would have to whisper to my friends or sisters because of the signs they had posted and the staff would remind you to use your “spa voices”. I work in customer service and deal with rude people all the time, the last thing I need is to deal with rude employees to a place that I paid $300+ to go and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Beware of the food prices that increased and their portions decreased to about 25%. Beware of the line you have to make when in the bath house to use the showers. And also, rent a cabana next time so you don’t have to walk all over and ask if there is a lounge chair available. I will most definitely let my friends and family know that the Glen Ivy is not worth the money and the drive. I purposely don’t recommend people so that it continues to be a unique place to go to. But now I’ll recommend it to friends and family and strangers as a place NOT to go.
My first time at Glen Ivy was about 14 years ago and I would go once a year. Yesterday was the first time I’ve been post Covid. While it was still a very relaxing day, (once you got in). It took forever in line to check in, even though we booked ahead of time and paid for our services in advance.Additionally, since you now have to book online, I did not like the fact that once the admission only slots were taken (you use to just show up) you have to pay for a service whether you want one and not. Since the friends we were going with booked separately, they were able to get admission only, and I had to pay for a service if I wanted to go on the same day as them. I would recommend if you’re going with friends Book together, and not separately.Lastly, lunch, which used to be fresh and amazing, was not now I remembered at all. I’m happy the friends we went with had not been there prior because they had nothing to compare it to, but they were not impressed for the price we paid for lunch. All in all, I still enjoyed all of the various pools, etc., and will probably go again because you leave feeling better than when you came, but I don’t think I would eat lunch here again, and I would book months in advance so that I could just do admission only without having to pay for a service when I didn’t want one.
Love glen ivy! We drive up from San diego and this was the first time I have done the evening admission and I would 100% do it again. The only thing is that it takes a hot minute to go through the line to wait to check in and get your bag checked. So next time Id be waiting in like at 350pm. Its $50 for 4pm-9pm. Great deal it was very calm and not busy for a Sunday evening was able to find chairs and pool floats no problem and use the mineral pools with no wait.Club mud was fantastic (wear a dark suit or bring one you arent worried about staining and then change back into your cute one for tanning 😉)Facilities are super clean and staff are great at moving and doing stuff but never disturbing guests. We were able to do the free mindful yoga session and it was AMAZING just get there a few mins early to snag a yoga mat and a view of the teacher. The showers inside the bathhouse have shampoo/conditioner and body wash making your drive home perfect! They also have free combs and lotion for your use and blow dryers. Its a must go to for a relaxing day with the girlfriends. ❤️
Lots of fun. Water aerobics were my favorite and the cold pool too. It was fun to coat in clay and dry in the sun. The grotto was not my favorite. I had a $20 turkey sandwich which was slapped together with a bag of potato chips on the side. Healthy? For $20 dollars they could have at least put some grapes or something on the side. They forgot to bring it to me so they gave me a free dessert. No thanks. Healthy? Check in was easy. They didnt have just admission spots left so I was forced to get the grotto with admission. $130. their computer was down in the food place, so they had to write my order and credit card down on paper. A little scarey. The grounds are very pretty and nicely kept.
They allow WAY too many people in for day passes. The place is packed like sardines. Couldn’t find a lounge chair available anywhere and arrived 10 minutes after they opened. If you like to take communal baths go here cause this is what it felt like to me. They are in it for max money. It was loud, over crowded, and nothing like a spa experience should be.

Wonderful few hours spent here. We really enjoyed the variety of pools, springs and the hydrotherapy section. The cocktails at the bar were great. The food at the onsite restaurant was average and a little overpriced. We left just after lunchtime as it started to get pretty crowded in most areas.
If youre trying to have a relaxing spa experience, this is not the place for you. The place was packed with obnoxious people, mostly women, speaking so loudly to each other that if felt more like a party than a spa. And this was on a Thursday. My boyfriend and I came to relax together and our favorite spa activity is the steam room. However, the steam rooms are not co-ed as theyre in the locker rooms so we couldnt even go together. While I was happy to find that the women’s steam room was empty, it was still hard to relax due to the constant noise of blow dryers and women chatting right outside. Fortunately, my boyfriend said the men’s steam room was much more quiet and relaxing. Also, the food was not good. Were not allowed to bring in outside food, so we had no choice but to eat the food there. However, its so overpriced and our breakfast burrito and bowl were both incredibly bland. Absolutely no flavor. We booked the couples massage, which I enjoyed, but my boyfriend said there was not nearly enough pressure. This experience was really expensive for us but we splurged because we were celebrating our birthdays and we thought it was going to be a true spa day, not a crowded party. Despite the high cost, we also discussed gifting spa days here to our parents because we wanted to spoil them. However, after this experience, we will not be coming back and we will not be gifting this experience to anyone.
Only an hour and a half from San Diego, I visited with a large group of girlfriends in early May for a half-day. We spent time at the different pools and saunas around the property. Fairly crowded, but still enough space to find seating. Super friendly and helpful staff who helped answer questions and kept the property super clean and organized. Absolutely gorgeous setting surrounded by hills. Id love to come back to spend a full day with more time at each pool and to book a spa service.
This place was a sensory nightmare. Completely agree with another review that noted the facial was the only redeeming quality, similarly felt the overall vibe was not serene at all and felt more like a crowded theme park / factory. Arrived not too long after opening and not a single lounge chair opened up until closer to 3PM. We didn’t have high expectations for the food but the quality was so bad (at least the empanadas) we still left disappointed. The locker room was gigantic and wait times for showers was minimal but still packed, loud, and overstimulating. Someone stole a bottle of the communal lotion. Maybe we didn’t do enough research but would not recommend.
BEWARE- Misleading age requirements. The phone version of website isn’t thorough. I booked to take my almost 18 yr old for a spa day to celebrate graduating, paid, drove there to find out that you need to be 18.NO WHERE in the check out process does it specify adults only. With technology these days, how simple would it be to put “Adult Admission” or a kind remark on their website saying “enjoy adults only spa!”Of course I wouldn’t bring a young child there.Very very disappointing. Sure they gave me a refund but how can a refund make up for driving there excited to make memories and to be let down. The computer version says 18 and over under general questions. Why would I read general questions when I didn’t have any questions.I hope this review will save another mom from wasting time gas and being disappointed. 😔
I normally dont write negative reviews but I think people should be warned.Do not go to this place unless you want to spend one week helping them with the wrong bill they sent you.Not only they made a mistake, but they charged me twice. The location and facilities are great, but its crowded and feels more like a water park than a spa. Checking in and out takes forever and making a reservation even more. For the price, customer service should be at a different level.
There was an issue with our reservation and David who checked us in was amazing. It was my birthday, so he treated us extra special. It made my day so amazing. For a moment, I thought we were going to have to turn around and go home but David made sure we were well taken cared of. Glen Ivy is just such a magical spot. It is my Disneyland as an adult. Thank you everyone there who made my day so special.
The noise there was hideous.Chain saws and loud wood chipper. Not good for my health and wellness. All they care about is wealth not health. Dont waste your time or money.Apparently the Goco corporation doesnt care about mankind. They are killing acres of beautiful trees on their property for their profit. They dont care about your health and wellness. Its for their profit and wealth. It is a very sad world we live in. They have had workers their the past two weeks all day long, making very loud noise, disturbing glen ivy hot springs and community around it. Its a crime.P.S. The generator they use for 6 months out of the is very old and loud. It needs to be updated to one that is quieter. I will be reporting them to the authorities and make sure something is done about it.
Ok so my husband and I decided to have a spas day to celebrate our 30th anniversary. I’ve had many opportunities to go here but something told me this would not be a good idea. I was absolutely right: the food was extremely overpriced and terrible. There was literally no where to park at 10am. No where to sit. We scheduled 3 services and the massages and pedicures were average. Definitely not worth the money. However, my facial was one of the best I’ve ever had. I believe her name was Antonia. She would be the only reason I would consider returning to this over crowded pricey place. Lines were way too long therefore could not enjoy the amenities. We spent over $1,100 for just the two of us and didn’t even get a robe. The grounds were beautiful but I didn’t feel like I was at a luxurious spas… more like a pool party with quiet music, horrible food and no where to sit. I’m really disappointed and the villas really need a makeover. Nothing about it was inviting. I felt like I was at a doctor’s office. The rooms were not anything that I’m used to when visiting a high end spas. Not at all what I expected for the price we paid. Everything is extra! Robes, proper seating, grotto, drinks are weak, it’s extremely noisy and lines too long for everything! I’m just so disappointed.
This is one of the very very very few reviews I’ve ever written, but my time spent here compels me. Glen Ivy is NOT a spa. It is a small wellness-themed water park.My girlfriend and I decided to spend the day here, we booked the grotto and a couples massage. First off, you’d think that for $90 for both of us in the grotto and the fee of the couples massage we’d AT LEAST get a robe for our visit, let alone entry to the park. The grotto, although advertised as a cave, is actually just a Lukewarm basement. First, you are made to watch a Disneyland ride line style video in which all of the actors, each wearing the signature $25 robe, as well as all of us crowded into the small room are made to thumbs up a man on a screen. From there, we’re packed into an elevator and brought down to the basement, which is essentially what it would look like if you went into an aquarium’s cave exhibit. The couples vital energy massage was fine, the rooms were not elevated at all and the lobby felt like a dentist’s office. The entire park was absolutely, utterly, packed to the point where no lounge chairs were available by any of the pools and we ended up having to sit toward the back by a trash can and maintenance entrance - not very relaxing. The environment is very loud and extremely overcrowded. The only hotspring pools are exceptionally small and difficult to get into given the crowds, the rest of the park is just regular pools. Not worth the money, total money-grab of an establishment
My daughter and I had the most wonderful spa day at Glen Ivy. We were so impressed how clean the pools are and also the friendly staff which made our day extra special. Clean towels at every pool and you were encouraged to use all the amenities they offered. We ended the day with the grotto . The most luxurious creamy essential oil fused lotion was painted on our arms , legs and torso. Then we relaxed in the peaceful underground Grotto which is like a cave with beautiful music. You can feel the moisture of the lotion softening your skin. Then we entered the shower area, and spent the last 20 minutes in the grotto with hot tea and fruit. It was a wonderful experience to share with my daughter. I highly recommend Glen Ivy for a day of self indulgence.
Its like a adult water park. We came for the day and scheduled massages. The massages were amazing. The cold plunge and hot tub were super crowded. They need bigger pools for that...lots of those cold plunge enthusiasts that go there.
My mother and I chose Glen Ivy Spa as our birthday celebration spot. Im not much for the flow of the masses. However, this time, I did, and Glen Ivy stood up to all of the hype. The massage rooms were clean, tranquil, perfectly lit, and music volume and choice conducive to a relaxing and healing experience. My masseur hit all the right spots during my stress relieving massage with the correct pressure, was attentive, pleasant, professional, and skilled. My mother, who usually complains about foot massages and will bypass one when getting a pedicure, loved her aromatherapy massage. The mineral water jacuzzis were at the perfect temperature. The facility was well kept and clean. All of the staff spoke in tones that were conducive to a relaxing experience. The mud bath, though, I wish was a bit warmer. However, I do wish there was a no phone policy. Some of the other patrons were loud on their phones and were dismissive to others privacy. There are signs stating for everyone to speak in spa voices, which many ignored. The food at the Cafe was delicious. I would highly recommend this experience. Thats what it is, an experience, to others, and already have.
The good is that it’s really relaxing and the staff is very nice. The facilities are great and overall I’d recommend going. The bad is that it’s extremely rigid to get services and even to get in for the day they are always sold out and customer service is next to impossible to get on the phone. They only accept a certain number of calls a day and by noon they stop taking calls at all but they will call you back. If you miss that cal you’re SOL. I’d go back but you need to plan your day to the minute and months in advance which can detract from the relaxing time it’s meant to be.
Been coming to Glen Ivy for 30 years and it’s gone so downhill that I most likely won’t be going back - and want to warn others. They oversell the facilities now, let walk ins come at any time and its beyond packed because of it. Apparently overfilling the facilities is more important to them than the guest experience.I just went yesterday and had reservations for a service (grotto) and had already paid admission. It still took them 45 minutes to get us through the check in process. Lunch alone took 40 minutes just to deliver us nachos. We were suppose to get refunded for lunch, but did not. Most of the hot tubs were full to the brim with folks packed in shoulder to shoulder. The hot tubs were also filthy. Instead of being relaxed and rejuvenated, we felt ripped off and frustrated. For the amount of money we spent and the time to take the day to relax, I’d rather spend my money at two bunch palms or Murrietta hot springs.
Glen Ivy Hot Springs now feels more like a party resort than a spa in my opinion. When I first visited years ago, it was a different vibe. My partner and I visited on a Thursday, and there were so many people and the pools were incredibly crowded. I feel like the capacity needs to be lowered for people to have a more relaxing experience, but obviously that impacts how much money they are making.Spa etiquette is not enforced at all so people are entering pools without rinsing first, and they get super dirty. Glen Ivy also allows alcohol all over the resort and in the pools, which contributes to more noise and less of a relaxing atmosphere. There were many people who were clearly drunk and one woman even spilled some of her drink in the sulfur mineral soaking pool we were in. Some type of etiquette needs to be enforced, and I dont think alcohol should be allowed in all the pools.Glen Ivy could be an amazing experience if they made some improvements. Its a beautiful place with amazing landscaping and hydrotherapy options. My experience simply wasnt relaxing because of all of the above so I would personally go to an actual spa instead of coming back here, but I also know some people like the party vibe and it seems like thats the brand direction they have chose at Glen Ivy.
Quick hour drive or so from San Diego. The property is serene and immaculate. The locker facilities, and pool access availability were excellent during Spring time. The customer service and booking are made super easy via email or phone calls for groups of three or more. Dont leave without booking the Grotto mask to end your day!
Such a great place to come and just relax. Was an hour and a half to get here but worth it. Staff was super friendly and the place was very clean. The Grotto experience with the bare minerals was very nice but kinda fast. The fruit they so call serve is just an apple. They have cocktails and mocktails for those that are not drinking. The massage was just amazing, Definitely bring bathing suits 2 and a cover up if you want. Would be definitely come back.
I was overcharged $139 for services due to the misapplication of a gift card to my account. Instead of management being eager to correct the mistake, I was given the run around about getting my money back. As requested, I was patient for 3-5 business days, but my money was never refunded. Please read the other reviews about how overrated and underwhelming the actual experience is. I would not advise anyone to waste their hard earned money at this establishment nor purchase a gift card for their loved one, colleague, or supervisor. Thats how I ended up here after a very stressful year in education and ended up literally getting robbed.
For a quick day trip it is 100% worth it and very unique. Not a lot of places have hot/cold plunge pools, saline pool, and mud pools to try out unlimited amount of times. Some of the negative reviews are a little absurd and not accurate. This place is great and clean! We had a super relaxing day and enjoyed all the amenities without a problem. We got there at 9:30 am on a Wednesday, found great lounge chairs, enjoyed a geothermal bath session in our own little tubs, and did the rest of the water/mud pools without any issues. For a basic water admission entry we got our moneys worth and stayed there until 4:30 pm. We grabbed a quick lunch at the cafe around noon, it was way better than expected! We didnt rent the robes, they are not necessary since there are so many towel replacement areas. You can just grab a new towel whenever you need! We did the Grotto and it was fun but again not necessary since there are multiple other saunas you can use and get the same outcome. And you dont really need your own water bottle, there are a ton of water fountains and fruit infused water throughout.Locker room is huge and has steam room, sauna, bathhouse, showers, shampoos/conditioner, blow dryer, lotions, and q-tips.Truly, I cannot come up with one negative. It such a fun spa, relax, wellness, pto day for me and my boyfriend. Next time I will get a massage, they are slightly pricy but everyone we met said they do such a good job.Enjoy!
This spot has been high on my list of places to come and experiences but the prices had always been a bit offputting. I visited yesterday to celebrate my birthday and now I absolutely understand why its priced the way it is. We had a cabana for the day and enjoyed a bit of time in the lounge and mineral pools before going to our couples massage which was lovely. We finished up and went back to hop into their recommended rotation. The cold plunge is my favorite! Taking some time to rest and eat lunch, our assistant for the day took our order an brought us our food. Some of it being complimentary with the package my partner selected. I had been so excited since I learned about this place to check out club mud and it was such a fun time. Theyve done such a wonderful job at making each area really unique and immersive. We then had an afternoon appointment for the grotto and when I say I couldve stayed all day! It was such a wonderful experience. Being slathered up with this silky green hydrating mixture and sitting in the warm room, rinsing off to go sit in a cooler room and enjoy complimentary tea and apples, with a small water feature cascading from the corner of the space and it was all nothing short of lovely.I was so impressed by their system and the way they run this place. Water was always cold and full and just steps away at any given moment, staff was all incredibly kind and helpful. The price though intimidating now having been and seeing all these extras you can get for that price is absolutely worth it. It didnt feel too over crowded, but Im not sure if weekends would be busier. Perfect way to spend a birthday!
This place has always been a great relaxing place to spend the day, my only complaint was it was really difficult to get a service booked. I couldn’t book a couples massage online and online said you had to call to book. I called during business hours two different days and both times sat on hold for over 30 mins and never got a live person to book. When I arrived the day of my reservations I couldn’t add a service since they were booked even though it was just a random Monday.
First of all, thank you for hosting us! We did enjoy our visit and overall it went smoothly. The lady at the reception checked us in quickly and was clear and organized in her thoughts when covering the itinerary for the day. The facility is large enough and even with a lot of guests that day, it still didn’t feel too overcrowded. Our preference turned out to be the Mud Pool, the Floating Pool with the fountain and the indoor Roman bath. It was our first visit so we were just mostly looking around and didn’t include any activities which are extra cost (the Grotto, massages, and food amenities). The real rating I’d give is 3.5 but I’m rounding up, not down. Here’s why for the rating, and it’s little things that add up. All the changing areas are too small and with no bench/seat so it was some fun to change to swimsuit. All showers have body wash, shampoo and conditioner but surprisingly no body lotion which for the admission price you charge could have been included. The skin dries out after all of the water activities. Finding the steps down in the Mud Pool where the water isn’t transparent due to the red clay was very challenging, I think, and it’s only a suggestion of course, if steps are redone into something similar as disabled access that would make your customers more happy. For the Roman bath, the jets weren’t going on full capacity so it felt more like ‘bubble creator’ while usually those can be used to massage your back. Also, some staff wasn’t aware of not disturbing the visitors and kept slamming the side door while performing their duties, the side door is in the same room with the Roman bath hot tub. And the last one but I believe this to be the most important one. Your business is all about your customers enjoying water activities, that’s why I sincerely believe that water in all hot tubs must be absolutely clean from any debris (hair, fluff from towels, etc). I understand it’s impossible to make the clean water last all day especially that there were so many guests. In this case, a 10-minute close outs can be conducted at all hot tubs to just clean out the accumulated debris.I feel I must mention that I’ve cancelled one guest on my list and did that later than I had to and as it was specified in the confirmation email (by 4PM the day prior to the scheduled visit). Glen Ivy very courteously accepted the cancellation though they didn’t have to and reimbursed me in full. So, a solid 4-stars. Thank you again for welcoming us and all the best to your business!

We went to visit this resort for a friend birthday. It was megical place. A little too crowded in my opinion. We could bring in any food, but waited over an hour in line to order and to get the food. Which wasnt fun, but there is no other iotuon- only one resturant. Food was good but very small portions, so if you are hungry order extra, bc if you want anything else you will need to wait another hour to get it. Pools were nice but we got there at 12 after 2 hours drive from LA and not even 1 lounge chair available to sit on. We came 7 girls and we were able to use several pools and lockers are very nice and clean. Overall I would recommend not to come when it is super busy but really nice resort.
We went here for a ladies day. We arrived 30mins before they opened and were about 20th in line. We immediately went and got our seats layed a book to establish ours and then went to change into swimwear. They had robes you could rent for $25 , a no for me ,, yes for a friend. The cabanas were $385 per person, outrageous, and overpriced for what is provided in the cabanas. We had full body massages at 1130approx. My massage therapist and my friends were excellent, listened to focus areas, and massaged marvelously. Our other friend massage therapist listened and then did what she wanted and made some areas hurt more and no relief. The salt pool for a 10-minute dip after the massage and electrolyte water was great! The mineral soak areas are very small and only accommodate maybe 10 people at a time. The mud bath i didnt try. The pools are much larger and on a hot day like it was the water was great! The restaurant line was long and stayed long. The wait time was 20 minutes. The food was pre-made freezer items warmed . Salads basic. The poolside empanadas were pre-made but had a great flavor with the chimmichurri sauce okay priced. Cocktails, if it was frozen, it was a mix frozen. I could never taste any alcohol in my drinks. The boutique had decent prices and lovely items, which are definitely worth a visit. Would I do a return visit to the spa? Yes.
After reading some reviews on here I was a bit hesitant to book a day here, but I’m glad I decided on going :) I actually can’t wait to go back and wished I lived closer to it. However, the real motivation behind this review is to show appreciation for the integrity of the employees of Glen Ivy and the patrons of Glen Ivy as well. I lost my wallet at Glen Ivy but didn’t realize until I got home, I called the lost and found number, left a message and pretty much had no hope to recover my wallet. The following day I received a call from Glen Ivy and they confirmed that my wallet was in fact found in the parking lot :) Wow! I was Surprised. They kindly offered to ship it to me at my cost and I did opt for this option because I would have spent more time/money on gas to drive there, pick it up and drive back home. When it arrived I was in a total awe to find my wallet with all my belongings in it including: Cash, Credit card, License :) There’s always good people out there. Thanks
Beautiful Place to go and Relax My daughter and I went for my Birthday! Such a great Idea! 😊 I enjoyed the Place and the Experience of going into the Mineral Pool also the Mud Pool! It’s a Gem in between Mountains!Specially I Highly recommend the Spa! So great for my Face and Body .they were so Professional! Beautiful People! I’ll be Joining the Club soon! Thanks
Visited the spa expecting relaxation but was met with a mix of comfort and disappointment. The added treatments increased the entrance fee significantly, and the oil therapy, despite sounding promising, was uncomfortable due to an excessively cold room. The amenities like the sauna and pools were enjoyable, yet the restaurant experience was a letdown across three visits, with long waits and underwhelming food. The spas facilities are commendable, but the overall value doesnt justify the high cost. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this spa based on my experiences.
A great escape! We splurged on cabana service and enjoyed having our own space and dedicated server for the day.The massage was very relaxing and the mud experience is fun.
I am very disappointed in our trip this time. Easily spent $700+ for 2 people. Price for 2 people $208 admission, $90 grotto, $320+tip massage, $50 for one meal! Plus I bought a robe which was a $90 luxury. This place used to be affordable. Now it is overhyped, nasty and the services you get are NOT worth the $155+ tip each.
Great way to spend the day with the girls. I thought the grotto was over rated but my group loved it. Food is pricey. Bring an old bathing suit for the mud bath, it may stain.
Went there with six women. The food was fabulous. But they allow drinking and gangster ghetto women that want to fight with you. There’s no security. It was very, very disappointing. The class of people that choose to go there to cause discontent makes his place undesirable.
This place is so serene and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious we had the pesto chicken pizza and charcuterie board, salmon melt, spinach dip with white sangria. Words can not express how amazing I felt after my massage from Sandy. I highly recommend her!!!! Also the moisturizing grotto will leave your skin feeling silky smooth.
This place has gone downhill over the years. The food is expensive and not good. Very bland. I have had better salads and tacos in a hospital. They have been jacking up the price on everything. There was no hot water in the men’s shower. The place is getting ran down. Someone pooped in the plunge pools and that was not cool.
Staff here is always nice. Very relaxing. Chicken nachos were yummy. Grotto is a must try! The only problem was hair in the showers.
The best experience hands down the grotto a must have as well as the massage ELIZABETH was the best I felt so refreshed and relax after the massage 5 star experience! The pools and mud bath was also great.
Great place to spend a day! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The hot tubs and pools were clean, and very refreshing.Service was quick and accommodating, everyone was very friendly. Food at the restaurant was excellent. I had the BBQ Chicken Pizza, my girlfriend had the tacos. We will definitely visit here again.
I had a facial at Glen Ivy yesterday and have to say it was far from the best and def NOT worth $200 I’m sad to say. For starters there was a lot of fluff…time washing and washing my face there was only a 2min head and shoulder massage in all that time, the hot towels they use to wipe your face a million times are SO rough they actually hurt! When she finally did 1 mask it was lovely but so short. But the WORST part of it all is that I woke up with a stye on my eye this morning!!! Im not prone to them so it was definitely something she did or more likely applied. The rest of the visit was ok, but wish the food was better. They cook all their proteins to death so I recommend get something without meat, all those dishes were FAR better. Also why can’t they make bracelets tap to pay with a cc on file? I mean having to carry a cc or phone around to pay for things when I want to just completely unplug is silly this day in age and unnecessary. If they can make this upgrade it would be so huge!Besides those comments, the staff were all lovely and things were generally very clean.
Glen ivy is a nice place,But conversation around the spa negative response about automatic service tips.on restaurants receiptsAnd oh , so many dissatisfied about no management over the mineral bath , is the worst more than 30 people standing glaring at those sipping drinks and conversing in the bath for almost 45 min this is enough to make new coming seek other spas..
Location was nice. But the lockers there ruined our whole experience because they are inconvenient. There’s no where to put your key once you lock it, so I was with my friend on the trip where her engagement and wedding rings were stolen. We have reason to believe it may have even been an employee, too, since they would have known the women’s locker rooms don’t have security cameras. The staff was also not helpful and just seemed nonchalant about the situation too. Very suspicious. Just warning other people about this resort and hoping they take feedback and update their locker systems for better protection.
Went to Glen Ivy for a day trip. The pools were fine apart from the hair in the mineral pools, but the security here has ruined my trip here. Both my engagement ring and my wedding band was STOLEN.Warning for those visiting and to Glen Ivy- there needs to be a better system around locker keys. Because my rings were stolen when my locker key was taken from me while it was wrapped in a towel. I never want to come back here again and I am scarred that people still exist who think it is okay to steal.
The day hoping for more peace, rejuvenation and calm energy. The overall vibe of the place was loud and not therapeutic. People yelling or talking loudly in places like the grotto or the salon area. The atmosphere is not like a yoga class or another spa, but more like a pool bar. This was probably just a this weekend issue (hopefully) but the staff got a new POS system and the only reason we know about this is that they reminded us at every turn that it was causing issue- like that we couldn’t tip with the card on file but could use Apple Pay- except we were trying to unplug? At the end of the day they closed us out which made us unable to tip except everyone told us to tip at the end of the day.The passport to wellness did come with cabanas and loungers and a robe which was nice but again you are right next to someone else so if they’re yelling or watching videos on their phone at full volume, it’s difficult to get totally emerged.Overall not the relaxing and rejuvenating environment I had hoped for. If you’re planning a fun pool day then this could be a good spot but if your planning total body relaxation then you will leave here disappointed as we did.
This is my wifes favorite destination. Every year, she and her sisters plan a trip to come relax and be pampered in the mud, spa, pool, and sauna while enjoying the desert and mountain views. They have been doing this for well over a decade and always have a fun and relaxing time. The staff is wonderful.
We’ve been coming a few times a year for some time now. I understand the rising costs in CA to do business. Entry rates have gone up and that’s ok, but we were really disappointed with the food and drinks. Their food has changed dramatically, it’s worse quality, it’s smaller portioned, and more expensive. Why would cost go up and the food quality get worse? We don’t mind paying higher prices for food but we do when the quality of it has changed dramatically. The drinks were also just so/so and watered down.Overall the resort is still enjoyable and the staff is friendly. We used to look forward to having a day and eating in the resort and it was a big let down.
I booked this place for my Girlfriends birthday thinking it would be a nice day relaxing and getting pampered ny heart sank as soon as we came to the front counter and saw the ocean of people drinking and using the amenities it was immediately a turn off to the both of us i had payed $1200 for a all the spa services and entry Glenn ivy is advertised as a relaxing spa but how can i relax when there people everywhere drinking and load music no where to sit and relax its ridiculous.Do not come to glenn ivy to relax here you will be disappointed its not a spa and more of a grown up disney land. lines, expensive low quality food, people everywhere i later learned that glenn ivy has a limit when it comes to offering services but entry into the resort is limitless.Do not recommend glenn ivy on weekends.
This review is for their horrible, horrible customer service. Since COVID, they changed to reservations only, no walk-ins. Which I dont have an issue with making a reservation, however it was nice to be able to just pop in with friends whenever we felt like it.The issue now is that you cant get a hold of anyone via phone/email/social media/carrier pigeon...nothing! So if youre lucky enough to get a reservation online, you can only pay/secure with a credit card. If you have a gift card (which they run promotions for all the time), you have to call to give the gift card over the phone. Wel...When you call customer service, you get a recording that says sorry, we are done talking calls for the day. Please call again tomorrow starting at 8a.Well, Ive been calling for three days straight starting right at 8a... How are you full already? How do you run a business where you require gift card payments to be made via phone and yet no one is available via phone! Seems like a scam. Very frustrating.Due to lack of customer support, my entire group will be cancelling our reservations.... If we can ever get through to an agent. Thank goodness our banks take our calls to stop payment on our credit cards. Sorry Glen Ivy.
Really great facility when you can finally get someone on the phone. Called on 5 different days and they were “no longer taking calls” even though it was 2pm or you request a callback and it never happens. It wasn’t like this before, I’ve been going here for years. Customer service phone lines may have had a revision and is just terrible now. Which is unfortunate since it’s quite pricey.
Amazing hot springs spa resort. The perfect place for a day of pampering. Mineral spas, saline pools, hot / cold plunge pools, mud bath, grotto for moisturuzimg treatments, massages, facials and so much more.(this is not a hotel, there are no rooms on-site)
People are so loud, all the black people acting like first time they are in pool. There is nothing close for relaxing, if you looking disneyworld vibe this is the place plus some of pool smell so bad
First, we were price gouged: Having to pay for massages on top of the daily admission in order to enter. Then, I tripped (and fell to the ground) off of an unmarked step within the first 5 minutes of entering. Which caused a twisted ankle, hurt my arthritic knee, sprained my wrist, and scraped me up in a few places. A first aid report was taken, and I was told someone would call to check in me later. No one ever called. Although the massages were nice, it would have been nice if Glen Ivy offered some compensation for my injuries. BAD FORM GLEN IVY!!!
A group of us went here the day after a long night of celebrating for our friend’s bachelorette and the therapeutic pools were nothing less than rejuvenating! I highly recommend spending the whole day here!
I have been trying to create a reservation for Mother day for 2 days now. I have called this establishment for a total of 8 times and each time stayed on the line for about 15 minutes each time waiting for someone to answer the phone. I have requested a call back 3x. There has been no call back. I have tried creating a reservation online 5x and each time I am told oops something went wrong and redirected to a (951) number. Every time I have tried calling the (951) number an automatic message plays saying they have accepted the max amount of calls for the day. My experience trying to create a reservation has not been seamless or relaxing. Which is something this establishment prides itself in. If anything it has caused me an overwhelming stress and anger for something so simple. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to make a reservation with this business.
Disclaimer: This visit is a review of Glen Ivy. We did not stay in a hotel. This is why no stars are given to the other categories. A lot has changed since I last visited Glen Ivy. Now, before you can get in line, you need to make a reservation online for the day you attend. I suggest calling customer service. Our reservation was on a Monday, which turned out to be a good choice. The place was full but not overcrowded. I also suggest having a credit card on file for your dining and other necessities. We had open access to the thermal pools with no wait time. We met so many good people from all walks of life. Lunch at The Ivy is phenomenal. Professional staff are waiting to service you. I cant wait to go back! Glen Ivy is a breathtaking, clean, professionally managed oasis of true relaxation. I will, without a doubt, continue to visit every chance I get.
Me and 5 other girls have been trying to call to reserve a cabana and services for 6 weeks! None of us are able to speak to anybody. The message system always states that they have reached the maximum number of phone calls for the day. One person was able to leave a call back number, but nobody called her back. We have been trying since April 1st. It is now May 13th. I tried to book the services online, but it said that I had to put a deposit down, which isnt really a deposit because youre paying for all the services up front. We have gift cards and there is no option for me to input the gift card to charge the deposit online.
What a great experience Glen Ivy was. Such a beautiful place to unwind and just reset. I for the Passport package and it is completely worth it. Access to a Cabana, a facial, the Grotto, a meal, and all the water and mud activities. Because it was a colder time of year, the robes was a great touch. My only complaint was I wish there were more Mineral pools. They recommend you only stay about 15-20 minutes but there were guest hoarding spots for like an hour. I don’t blame Glen Ivy for that but maybe it can be monitored better to avoid this. All in all I had a great time and I would definitely do it again.
Second time that Ive come here (after being a member for over 6 years) they allowed two females to stay after the fact that they called me out of my name several times. They preferred to keep the single day passes then a loyal customer
My first experience here has been a great one. The mountains, trees, palms, pools, hot springs add to a beautiful environment. Cool and refreshing or hot and relaxing, you can choose your favorite pool.It was cold (CA cold) the day we went but I had a bathrobe* and footwear I brought.I saw a group of men relaxing, bridal parties, friends, couples, Moms n daughters, its a great get away**.Included: refreshing water to drink all around, pools, saunas, mud pit, showers, hot and cold pools, lockers, towels ( combs, razors, hair dryers ...)*Bathrobes are $25.00 day rental (no footwear provided)Pedicure/Massages: $75-250+I had a great salt scrub and it was done very professionally.Parking is busy on a weekend, come early. You have a security check as you enter( no outside food/ water) then you check in, and then head to the coffee bistro or locker room.We spent 5 hours here relaxing, easy to do** It is not for everyone, since it is very Pricey. It is a lovely place otherwise.
Went for the first time for a friends birthday. It has the potential to be a great experience, but I would not come back. Its very picturesque and the landscaping around the property is beautiful. Also, most of the staff was friendly and helpful. However, the check-in process is not smooth. We arrived soon after the spa opened and most of the pools were already crowded. Im not sure what filters are used to keep the water clean, but you could see the pools turn from clear to murky as the day went on. The restaurant served spoiled vegetables on both the breakfast and lunch plates. We had a good time, but the overall experience was a bit disappointing.
This place is a money grab. Their day passes are not based on capacity - they only sell a limited number of spa only, and for the rest will require services. If they don’t have day passes available, it doesn’t tell you on the website. We drove all the way out here with the understanding that we could buy day passes onsite. We were told none were available unless we spent an extra several hundred dollars. It would be one thing if the place were full to capacity, but the parking lot was half empty. What a stupid business decision to sacrifice $200 just because I don’t want a massage or facial.
It used to be a relax spot, but not any more with the whole mandatory booking added. They are forcing you to buy more services in addition to the admission.
I had lived in California in a nearby city until 1981 when I moved out of California. I did not know that nestled in this Temescal Valley, Glen Ivy, the best kept secret “gem” existed.Had I known, I would have visited quite frequently while at Cal Poly. While living in Kentucky I subscribed to Spa Magazine and Glen Ivy was featured there. My next trip to Riverside, my niece and I visited the Day Spa.This was so much more relaxing and a truly wellness experience for my soul, than any amusement park I could ever visit.Nestled in the landscaped mountains lay the beautiful gardens, lounge pool, mineral spring baths, and the famous Club Mud and so much more! So many wellness pools where you can feel so relaxed and carefree. This was and will be an everlasting experience that makes you want to come back time and time again.I have visited Glen Ivy twice with my niece but since the passing of both of my parents, clean up day, and Covid I have yet to return to Southern California.Hopefully, one day I will be back to your wonderful and relaxing place, Glen Ivy.Until then, I will just remember what a wonderful time we had. . .MJ
PROs- steam rooms, bath house, heated/cool pools, club mud, outdoor resort vibe, restaurant food quality, towels provided, activities like yoga & pool zumba included, free parking (dont get any ideas business managers)CONS- extremely crowded, loud groups of people, imo overpriced, overcharged on tips, resort fees added on everything, snack hut menu item inaccurate
A nice place to relax and enjoy the pools, hot and cold.As well as the mud baths. And a massage and facial if you choose.
Glen Ivy used to feel like a relaxing way to spend your day. Now, it feels a lot like hanging out at a Vegas pool: loud guests who are there to drink, mediocre food and beverages with a 10% resort charge, up-selling loungers around the pools so they’re now reservation only, a new booking system that is supposed to be better but turned into a giant mess, and a corporation where you can never get through to a human to help fix a problem. I loved Glen Ivy so it’s heartbreaking to see this decline.
I really loved my first time having a spa day at Glen Ivy! Great massage from Denise, enjoyed the saunas, jacuzzi pools, mud, and grotto. Lunch was also very good - Cesar salad with salmon, and my sister had the strawberry fields salad. Both were so good. It did get pretty crowded in the later morning and afternoon, and honestly I just couldnt go back into any of the pools after seeing them so crowded with people, but I still enjoyed the saunas. I will go back again someday. Its pricey, but it was a nice experience. For two of us for entry, massages + tips, lunch, grotto, and bathrobe rentals, it cost almost $700. I had a gift card for half that amount so the total for the day was offset thankfully. Just be prepared to spend some $$$. The employees were awesome! Everyone we interacted with made our visit really nice.
I like it better years ago when it was smaller and had less people. The food in the restaurant is not that great and its very expensive.
Glenn Ivy was an excellent experience, but the location was terrible because both of my party members were stung by bees, even though the staff was very polite and very concerned about both my friends incidents they gave them both complementary smoothies I just believe that it’s in a bad location to have a spa where people are getting stung on a continuous basis And to be concerned about the prices, I believe that if you have booked a specific activity. You shouldn’t be charged for an entry fee if you’re already booking a service I don’t know it’s being nonce to me. I believe that fee should be for the people that only want entry into the spas waters like the pools and hot springs people that book specific service that is booked for the day should not be charged entry fee sorry not sorry I said it
We booked a couples massage on a Sunday morning. I was looking forward to it but the overall experience was disappointing. My massage was one of the worst I got. The hot tubs were constantly crowded and dirty. They also smelled heavily of chlorine. We tried for a long time to get into the mineral spas, it was always terrbily crowded. When we finally got in, the water was murky and stuff was floating all around in it. I normally dont get put off by communal pools, but this one was a nasty soup of so many different people. The overall facilities are dated, and not very luxurious. The showers in the bathhouse were in disrepair with fixtures that werent properly attached or working correctly. The one amenity we enjoyed was club mud. The water they is naturally dark and muddy, but it was fun playing with the clay.Something that really got to me was the terrible quality of the towels, they are very thin, rough, and worn. For a resort, this was extremely disappointing. On the weekend, this place is crowded. We went at the beginning of the off season and were put off by the crowds. Really not relaxing at all. Cant imagine it during the summer.Overall, we wont come back. This place is expensive (almost $100 just for entry) and its not luxurious at all. There arent many great amenities, and everything just feels so cramped and dated. So many people loudly talking, and crowding up the small hot tubs, it really wasnt a great experience.
Expensive for the quality but you pay for the resort feel. Massage villas need a new interior paint job and just general care. Eat before you go because the food is comparable to a mall food court pretending to be bougie. Overall it is a really fun place to go for locals to get pampered for a day and there is not much like it around. Sage in the upper massage area is great. She had an excellent recommendation for my hair that really made a huge difference even after a couple uses. She has a great energy too.
I have trying to reach out to this spa for over 3 weeks. They charged my credit card vs my gift cards. The girl in the front desk said it would fix itself and 3 weeks later is still not fixed! The worst part is that they never returne your calls nor emails. Not the service I expected from a spa like this one!!
I had a massage at 9:30 by Linda and she was fantastic. I was very relaxed and she set the tone for my whole day which was on Mothers Day. 5 stars for Linda!!
Cant rave about this place enough. Plenty of hot water and lounge areas to go around. The bathhouse is well stocked with free lockers, showers, steam room, Roman bath. There are water aerobic classes, services, massages, facials. A bar and restaurant on site! They do check bags for outside food/drink. Highly recommend the Grotto at end of your visit. Painting yourself or loved one with the clay mud and then exfoliating makes the admission price even more worth it. Cheaper on week days. Get there as early as you can because youre gonna wanna stay forever :)
Disgusting waters! Tons of people on a Tuesday with no showers around the pools and blurred waters with hairs floating yuck 🤮 never again!
Booked Paradise Falls cabana for party of 5 with 5 services. Spend over about $1500 not including food.Feedback:-Need to streamline booking system. Very inconvenient to have each person of the party call in to book their services.-Quieter settings with no loud music. Glenn Ivy should look into silent disco. This did not seem like a spa but more of a Vegas pool club.-Food experience not great, stressful and loud. Total wait time to order on a Saturday afternoon about 35min not including waiting for the food. Take a note from Disneyland and look into online ordering.Overall, not impressed, not relaxing and over priced for the quality.Suggestion: Utilize modern day resources such as; online booking and online food ordering. This makes it very difficult for visitors to enjoy the relaxing experience when theres none created for them beside basic pools with chairs.
Great place to relax and get some sun. Wide variety of pools of different temperatures. Club Mud makes my skin feel great! Grotto is fun but books quickly. Food and drinks are pricey but worth it.
How are you done answering calls for the day at 2 PM, what???The one star is based on customer service. There are many complaints like this one, not sure if anyone from management checks or even cares. But please hire or outsource a team to answer and return calls. Like many others, I have called multiple times and have not been able to get through or receive a call back. Its annoying!
Glen Ivy was a great way to spend a day. I reserved addmissions plus Grotto for a Friday. My understanding is Monday through Thursday is less crowded. We did try to follow the circuit (photo included). The mineral hot springs does have a little wait unless you have perfect timing, the cold/hot plunge was refreshing along with the steam room, saunas, Vista pool, saline pool and lounge pool. Club Mud is fun and great for exfoliating the skin right before going to the Grotto. This was a new experience for my daughter and she loved it. Aloe/coconut oil blend with lavender and more soaking in skin then rinse off to enjoy hot tea and an apple by a small waterfall. Expect to pay about $20 for lunch and more if drinking; the poke salad was really good. Overall, extremely relaxing.
Beautiful hot springs spa in the oasis next to the mountains. Great to spend a day there. Very healing and relaxing. Restaurant on site. No hotel yet.
Loved it. Its a great way to start a 3 day getaway with the wife. The new evening session was phenomenal.
My wife and I are big fans of hot springs, and this one stands in the upper tier of what we’ve visited. Came for a day pass and found a clean, diverse set of pools in a beautiful setting.
Overall, it was a great experience at the facility, but we did splurge on a massage. The issue with this was my masseuse was not able to meet the demand of pressure that I wanted. I asked her if she could go a little harder and had the audacity to tell me that the type of massage that I picked up, did not allow her to go any harder…I have gotten massages around the world at this point, costing way less that were a lot better not worth spurge
It was my first time here and I loved it! Clean bathrooms, helpful staff, and so many free and purchasing options available. It is a little pricey to enter, but you literally can find tons to do. I got a $165 facial, and it was fantastic! If you want a cheaper thing to do, Id do the Grotto. Thatll set you back an extra $30 or so, but its worth it! No outside food or drink is permitted, but you can bring unopened water or your empty hydro flask. They have towels for you to use that are free and robes to rent for $20. They have lockers there that are free to use, too.
Nice but not worth the price. Hot tubs are packed and I went on a slow day January cold cant imagine on a busy day. Pools are older but nice and heated.I went with the package with Cabana and food $750 for 2 of us. Cabana was small . The table took entire room you cant actually lay down in cabana. The heater in cabana was not really working. The chairs very dirty gross dirty had to put a towel over chair to sit on it.The tour guy gave us wrong directions to different services . Host was nice checked on us about 4 times. Food was bland and cold. Looked nice but did not taste that good. The drinks came with lots of ice in plastic cups. Mimosas in a plastic cup with ice. I asked for a glass they didnt have any? Picture shows glass mimosas. The massage lady cut me short by 5 min. It was very pleasant massage but nothing special.Nice place to relax but for price I go to resort in local casino instead. The gratto was very cool gets very hot . I think the gratto was best part havent experienced anything like that prior. Not for everyone if your claustrophobic or have a heat sensitivityClub mud just to me seam unsanitary. Showers in club mud water kept getting cold like unpleasant cold and you need to rinse off good so not my cup of tea if the can keep showers good temp then it can be found but again it was a colder day. Everyone gets mud from same pile I dont know about that but I went with it.They had water in different locations. Coffee shop. Heater in different areas but most heater were not turn on I guess just for looks.I been to some nice places so for the banana not having a places to lay in inside was a bit disappointing. There is lawn chairs every where so why pay extra they have chaing rooms in shower area with lockers.
Aromatherapy massage was very nice, table was heated and Shelley was wonderful!Glad to go on a weekday when it wasnt too busy. Very walkable.Club Mud was good. The mud dries pretty quick in the sun or the cave.Lots of showers and towels available. All the pools were nice, the Roman bath was one of the coolest to look at.
We did a girls day trip. We rented a cabana which fit the 3 of us well. You could easily fit a 4th but any more would make it crowded. The facilities are beautiful. We enjoyed massages, several baths and the grotto. If you are there for the services, one day is fine. If you want to relax around the pools or explore the grounds (they have so much more to offer), I would recommend an overnight stay. It is well worth it.
Glen Ivy Hot Springs in California is truly a haven for relaxation, and my experience there was nothing short of magical. From the moment I stepped into this oasis, I felt a sense of tranquility enveloping me. The ambiance is serene, complemented by the soothing sounds of live music that added an extra layer of bliss to the atmosphere. What sets Glen Ivy apart is its commitment to offering a holistic experience. The inclusion of set times for sound baths and yoga classes was a delightful surprise. Its not just a hot springs retreat; its a wellness destination that goes above and beyond
First visit to Glen Ivy last weekend. I booked the Passport to Wellness package for my mother and I and it was wonderful. We got our welcome mimosas and escorted quickly to our poolside cabana. The property is beautiful and the staff were all very friendly. We both had the illumination facial and loved it. Lunch was reasonably priced and delicious- large portions too. We will be back!
I arrived right when it opened and was immediately greeted by extremely nice staff members. I received a full body massage, which was average. I went to the grotto, which is something that everyone should experience once in their life ( after that, its only value is to go there with your loved ones). Club mud was fun and relaxing. The food is above average, but expensive. Same with the drinks. The pools are the best things in life!!! I could spend hours in them. Overall, if you have the money, its a luxury that you must experience at least once in your life. Its best to go with spouse.
This is a great spa at a great location . It is not really relaxing because of how busy it gets and how chaotic the pools are. But it was a great experience and we had fun.The reason I give a 3 out of 5 is because of the quality of the food. The Food is really unappetizing at the Ivy Kitchen for the price. The charcuterie board was a joke ! We found a hair in our food and informed the manager. The manager was kind enough to give us a refund. The Mimosa had a really weird taste and I could not have one more sip. Overall the experience was okay. The grotto was my top favorite.
Didnt stay overnight. Went for the day spa! Best spa I have ever been to. Parking was a little bit crowded but managed to get a spot in the overflow. Staff was friendly. Had lunch here which was an assortment of salads, flat bread and a few sandwiches. They have a really cool bar in the middle! Mostly frozen slushie type alcoholic beverages. Tried out the mud baths, salt bath, mineral bath. The hot and cold plunge bath and had a massage! Massage! Massage was probably the second best one Ive ever had! Really worth the day!
My spouse and I did the Passport to Wellness Cabana experience for my birthday and it was so much fun! We both very much enjoyed our massages, the meal was excellent, and we enjoyed spending the day lounging around and sampling the various pools. It was a little slice of paradise. I would definitely go again.
We use to come here every year for birthdays it’s really pretty the waters are amazing and it was a reasonable price and easy to get into. Now you have to make a reservation just to get in and 9 times out of 10 the only reservations available are ones that you have to book a service with! Trying to get a reservation to just do the waters and mud is incredibly difficult or you can plan a few weeks in advance. The prices have shot up big time almost double just to get in. $100 use to get you in , a nice lunch, a drink or 2. Now it’s $94 just to get in and it’s crowded everywhere! Very crowded! The place is still really pretty and their drink menu has expanded and delicious as is the food! Waters and mud are still fantastic when you can get in them and don’t have to wait to use them. Most of the staff was friendly but 2 people working the gazebo bar were snobby and rude. I will go again unless the prices keep shooting up . I refuse to pay over a hundred dollars to play in mineral waters and mud it’s not that amazing!
Love this place so much. Great pools and amenities. Good drinks and food. Definitely a great place to go with someone you love for a romantic and relaxing day off, just as fun going with family and friends to soak up some fun in the sun and get some relaxation
This place is such an amazing getaway. They have everything a spa should have and it is so serene. Mineral baths, mud baths, tons of pools. Live music, yoga, meditation, drinks, food. Although the food was less to be desired the entire experience was pretty great. In the future will eat before or after we leave there.
I went with my daughters to celebrate their birthdays 🎉The property was beautiful. I had a massage by Rory. He helped me focus on relaxing and deep breathing! He did a great job! I would highly recommend him. My daughters both had facials which they loved. The we’re both glowing. All in all a great day. So much to do and see. I wish our stay was longer. Can’t wait to go back !
Very dirty jacuzzis, , loud and boozy crowd , dirty bathrooms, and 50 minutes of a very weak massage (for close to $200 ), ensure I shall never go back to this wellness experience again.
Had the most incredible day celebrating my wifes birthday. All of the pools and club mud, what an amazing day!!!!
So I took my daughter on November 4 to the spa for her 21st birthday. We have a package that included the cabanas. We had a great time until it came time for us to do the grotto Cave. My sister also joined us on this trip, and somehow she was not able to join us in the cave like we all expected, it kind of put a damper on the trip but all in all Glen Ivy is an excellent spa
Went all out on the passport (premium) package so had high expectations coming in (the package, plus four drinks, two appetizers, Grotto and tips cost about 1K for two people). Pros: We had our own carved out area on a terrace w/ loungers/table/umbrella an attendant all to ourselves who took our orders, brought food/beverage to us, brought the robes to us, etc. My daughter had a massage, and I had a facial. Both were great. The pools were also as expected, had fun doing the hot/cold plunge with other guests. The grotto was just okay (not worth paying extra in my opinion). Margaritas were good (I had a frozen drink--very weak). Cons: Two times I was asked ahead of arrival if we were celebrating something special. I told them yes, my daughters birthday and graduation from grad school, AND mentioned we chose this experience specifically because she is deploying in a couple of weeks (active military). Not sure why they asked if they never acknowledge upon arrival--they did have a note with our names, saying welcome. But for the price, and especially because they ask, it would be nice if they gave a small gift-little chocolates or something. I also think for the price, the Grotto and/or discount on lunch or something related to the restaurant should be included. Also need to be careful not to come during peak times or youll wait in a line to get in pools. We went on a Tuesday, and got in as much as possible right when they opened so no problem for us. Overall it was a very nice and relaxing experience, unique in the number of pools and services offered; but I would not pay the passport price again for whats included.
If you want to escape yourself, I highly recommend this place a massage, nail treatment, facial, and food and drink options.Excellent service
Its been a while since I visited Glenn Ivy Hot Springs. I was very impressed with the updated renovations and service. My friends and I were greeted upon arrival. The hospitality was absolutely amazing. We had plenty to do once we checked in. Loved the Qigong and meditation classes. The food was delicious. I had the best facial by Daisy and she gave excellent recommendations for my skin. It was a day to remember. Ill definitely be back sooner than later.
Phenomenal time here! I spent the evening while I was in town with some of my good girlfriends. We booked a 20 min mini facial and enjoyed the many amenities including the mud bath, pools and Roman Bath. I want to give an extra shout out to Daisy my esthetician. She was so knowledgeable about skin care and so friendly. I will be back! I wish they were in Atlanta!!
Beautiful and relaxing! Its so peaceful and really does seem like a mini paradise get-away.The ONLY issue i have ever really had was that upon check-in they were trying to upsell the grotto and we agreed to do it, but when we got there they told us that one of the rooms in the grotto did not have heat (i think it was the last room thats supposed to be like a sauna but instead was cold). I wish they had told us that when they were trying to upsell us as well paid for the full experience, but were deceived.
I love this place! It’s such a wonderful spot for a girls day/weekend. I got a facial that was absolutely wonderful, and then soaked in the hot springs the rest of the day. Such a good option for an affordable spa day.
For me, the vibe on the website was very very different from what the actual experience was. We were hoping for a relaxing, tranquil time, soaking in some hot springs, getting a massage. The place is much bigger than expected, and it was PACKED. We were immediately worried when we saw the giant parking lot filled with cars. (And we went on a Monday!) Every body of hot water was jam-packed with people, and there was more of a party vibe than what I was hoping for. We walked in and there was Michael Jackson blasting, people are more there to get wasted (which is totally fine! Just not what I was in the mood for.) Super annoying house music was blasting near the lounge pool. We ordered some juices from the Chill Zone, which we assumed would be fresh -- our mistake -- but we watched them pour single bottles into plastic cups... why not just give us the bottle then...? We stayed for a few hours (including our massage) after getting turned off by how jam packed all the hot tubs were.If that does sound like your vibe, I recommend renting their super soft robes and bringing a water bottle.
I love this local spa resort! My friends and I arrive right when they open and spend the whole day there enjoying all the different amenities. The cocktails and food available for purchase are of great quality and very tasty. The massages are amazing. We typically only go during the summer but just went in January for the 1st time and really enjoyed how peaceful the surroundings were. Summer time gets really busy but we still have a good time. Looking forward to our next spa day at Glen Ivy!
This is the fanciest hot springs I’ve ever been to, and you will absolutely love spending the day here. The spa services (massage, facial) were also the best I’ve ever had. There are tons of different large pools for different purposes and temperatures and mineral contents. There’s also a cafe on site, a bar, and a Starbucks. Club Mud is so fun, the indoor baths, steam rooms and locker rooms are so luxurious, and there are even activities like water aerobics. Could spend all day every day here. Only note is to book in advance and get there early to get a chair in the shade. Despite being there on days where its booked out though, its never been overly crowded.
I didnt get to go but I sent my lady and her mom to go. They said they had a great day there. My girls mom said that her shoulder felt way better. I was told that the staff there is also very professional and pleasant.
Don’t go to the glen ivy spa if you want a peaceful, relaxing experience. The mud and grotto are super cool and fun, but the whole environment is very loud, social, and party-centric. This is more of a European bath feel as opposed to a relaxing spa.
We enjoyed the Passport to Wellness package. So very much worth every cent. Welcome Mimosas, Cabana, Cabana staff, Club Mud, The Grotto, Spa service and Lunch included. I got a facial, Court, esthetician, she was wonderful 🤩 My sister got a massage and the masseuse was great. By the end of our day, we felt relaxed, pampered. A week later, my skin still feels amazing. Cant wait to go back
Been coming here for 25 years. Rushing to the relaxation, as an ex used to say. Thats largely true, though basically worth it; the on-site experience can be the most luxury access to outside mineral baths possible, though it may be starting to get dated. More recent popularity has led to an even more convoluted customer unfriendly policy regarding guaranteed entrance (which considering the drive from the Los Angeles County area is not an insignificant effort to get there) and continues to be in utter conflict with incentivizing for when the place is not busy or managing to even out the traffic for when it might be. Id come more often at off times or additional times in general. Basically there are scenarios where they force you to take additional services; which may or may not be worth it and are certainly quite expensive for the quality of the service being provided, which on the other hand its Corona, CA - what do you expect. Dont want to seem down on the place. Id come more often and judging by how busy theyve been on different days, would prefer the shoulder season days. But like, offer more. Make sure the car wash guy is there. Bring some A team masseurs. Youre asking that price and bringing Craigslist. Or just make booking easy (the site is abysmally painful to operate) or make it easier to get in touch by phone, or I guess you guys really are that cool and busy and you dont really need to speak to your would be attendees.
My husband and I had a wonderful time, though it was a super busy Saturday, so worth it especially after the best couples massage we’ve had till now by Patricia and Angie.I liked the food in the Kitchen, my husband likes the drinks at the bar.Definitely will plan to visit again but next time on a week day.Plenty of parkingExpect to make lines for certain pools if you visit on a weekend.Other than that enjoy!
Luxurious and restful. Top service. Good range of services. My massage was 5 star.
Amazing time. Came to visit LA made a Pit stop here and it was so worth it. We did GA. You’ll have to rent or buy a robe but towels are free
The grotto was very disappointing. The staff need to be more strict with the policy on whispering. It should actually be zero talking. This is the second time that I have experienced a very loud environment. This experience isnt cheap. Some clients drive from very far away and it is not fair that inconsiderate guests will not shut up while others are trying to enjoy some peace and quiet.
Amanda was truly amazing host if u ever need help go see her
Its a beautiful place! it does have some downers. juice bar, is not what you expect, their menu had all written of great juices, LOL… she pops a plastic pre bought water down juice, horrible! plus very expensive! but the good thing is they have fresh waters all over the entire place that is a big plus! now, if you can’t stand bad order, the aged waters stink like rotten egg, but the good thing is only in that area. though, I got to say, it made our skin soft as silk the next day. “one thing I wish they had a ladies day only, and a day for men., because there was men in all areas that it makes it uncomfortable. overall I would definitely go back for just the massage! Bianka, young girl or lady, does an Excellent Job!
Definitely not what I expected from a spa retreat type of place. First thing I noticed was how loud it was. There was a water aerobics class going on when I arrived with my family and the music was high energy and way too loud. It was pretty crowded, but may have been less overwhelming if people werent cackling and yelling and what not. It seemed like more of a party scene with a bit of wellness sprinkled in.The food was edible but nothing to write home about. I would probably eat before coming if I ever came back.We ended up paying extra to stay after 5pm to hear live music by the lounge pool, and that was a pretty huge disappointment. It was just two guys; one on steel drums and the other on some other instrument, playing along to a pre-recorded jazz track. Ive heard better from a busker on Hollywood Blvd.Giving 3 stars because I had a pretty good massage and really enjoyed the mineral waters and mud bath. Not sure if I would go again, especially for what it costs.
Love the exfoliating mud, mineral waters. Food is still good, but the organisation around it suck.
Anytime I want a quick mini getaway, I book the Glen Ivy spa! So relaxing. Its an all day spa so you feel like youve gone on vacation. Relaxing. Clean. Beautiful. The food is so yummy! And my massages are always great!
My first time at a spa it was amazing can’t wait to return. Just wish it was closer to SD , the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Love the facility I am excited to see the hotel portion once completed.
Had a girls day to celebrate a birthday. Attentive yet unobtrusive staff added to a wonderful atmosphere. A blazing hot day was lessened as we were surrounded by greenery everywhere and numerous water stations. Poolside service for drinks was great.
Really nice place. Awesome locker room. Mud bath is fun.
What can I say with beautiful weather and excellent surroundings it made for a perfect day. So many different pools including one with mudGreat day!!!
This is an outdoor spa with various pools. There are no hotel rooms. I like the ability to wander around and try out the various pools. There are mineral/sulfur pools, a hot and cold plunge, salt pool, clay mud area, and a lounge pool. There are areas for relaxation and meditation, and they also have estheticians and masseuse for specialized skincare treatments and massages. Appointments are needed if you want specialized treatments or massages. Other than that, the pools are available to enjoy at your own leisure. There is also a restaurant if youre hungry during the day, and also a bar if youre there to celebrate something.
My daughters gave me a trip to San Diego for my birthday week my youngest daughter lives there she booked us a day at Glen Ivy on my actual birthday, It was the best day I could ever imagine the beauty of Glen ivy, the staff, people just visiting, everything they had to offer. We took advantage of each and everything!!! I want to thank you for such a great day I couldnt have been blessed more on this birthday.
Warning! Read this or your trip will be awful!- Dont let your hair touch the sulfur springs or the minerals will wreck your hair and youll need multiple expensive keratin treatments to repair it but it will never be the same.- All body types, ages & incomes welcome. Nobody judges, everyones friendly & happy for you getting some self care & relaxation.- Strap the locker key to your bra strap or wrist band then tuck it so nobody sees it (see pics), a lot of the 1 star ratings are from the wrist strap falling off.- Get $300 in e-gift cards when theyre running a special like mothers or Valentines Day to pay for admission for two, youll save about $80 by buying gift cards. I highly recommend you add on the latest available grotto appointment and the evening admission when they have extended hours.- Call at 8 am to reserve months in advance, their website sucks and doesnt accept gift cards. If you call past 10:00 a.m. you will get a message saying they have accepted all the calls they can handle for the day, but if you call at 8:00 a.m. you will have to leave a message and they will call you back that evening or the next day. There is no way to get a hold of a live person right away. Their phone and website are the worst Ive ever encountered, thats why this review is a very deserved one star until they fix that. So many horror stories about the website not working right, forcing you to add on a service to book unless you call, and they super dont care that their phone and website suck.- Bring your own unopened bottled water, their sulfur water tastes awful although its drinkable with cucumber and lemon which they have throughout the property. At least bring an empty water container. Using their little cups when you pass a water cooler isnt enough, youll overheat in the hot tubs. Sip all day is key to Glen Ivy.- Wear a UPF 50 hat, you will be in enough direct sun and hot tubs that it will be well worth it to produce your own shade.-Wear a dark colored bathing suit because you will want to do the mud bath and it is going to stain your suit this reddish clay color unless your suit is dark, our navy and black suits are immune to the staining for some reason.- Only do the clay bath once, its very strong, dont put it on your face or scalp if you have sensitive skin, apply a thin layer and let the clay air dry then exfoliate it off with the provided towel (as the signage says to do). The showers between the two clay piles are perfectly warm, the rest are icy cold.- Do the grotto after the clay baths and sulfur pools, not before so you can feel the effects on your skin last the rest of the night as you drive home.- Because of that, right before you leave is the best grotto time but those get booked way ahead of time.- The food is expensive but good, if youre unsatisfied tell them they will make it right. Its not a lot of food but youll find that you dont want a lot of food. It should be a relaxing place of light lunch and a light buzz. You can have a filling dinner after you leave.- When they close, go into the hot tub inside the restroom. Nobody will bother you there as you get some extra spa time. When youre done take your long shower and be last to leave unless you had a late grotto time in which case you might opt to shower when you get home or in the morning to let the lotions work their magic longer. Its paradise, a perfect day every single time. The staff, including the phone staff, are incredible! Its always a great temperature year round thanks to shade in summer and the hot tubs in winter. It must be the effect of the mineral water on the body and mind because I cant believe that even this paradisaic haven can cause the mind to feel this relaxed, but you have this really good feeling after that lasts the rest of the night.Id say imagine what daily use would do but there have been people who use and have used these waters daily dating back to the indigenous peoples who first venerated these springs for that very purpose.
I waited on the phone for an hour on hold to make an appointment. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! They need to hire more people. Bad customer service. I will never go there because of this nonsense!!
Such a wonderful relaxing time. I’ve been to enjoy services (facial and grotto) and general admission. Both days were wonderful, but the day i received two services felt a bit busy. I will do a maximum of one service next time so i can take better advantage of the relaxation provided with the included facilities, but i have that option since i live nearby. If you are traveling far or won’t be returning soon, definitely take advantage of the services here, ESPECIALLY THE GROTTO. Such a mystical experience. I also recommend the jalapeño margarita and the Bloody Mary which has enough garnishes to serve as a light snack
I love this place!! I recommend visiting Club Mud, getting a massage and then visiting the amazing underground grotto and in that order. There is a cafeteria like place to eat for health snacks and meals. The staff is very helpful. They offer free entry on birthdays (with proof) and it does make a difference in how much you spend.
*Honest opinion*Today my husband and I spent our first time at Glen Ivy. We arrived at about 10am on a Wednesday. The check-in was pretty quick and we got a map with a recommendation what we should do first to last. First we had breakfast, which was pretty damn good (ivy kitchen, I really recommend the coffee). Then we headed to the mineral bath. After that club mud and at 12:45 to the grotto. We had lunch at 2pm, relaxed and then had our booked massage at 4pm and got outta there at about 5:30pm.Now, it sounds pretty good. And honestly, we really enjoyed our time there and felt relaxed after. But our biggest problem was the price. Day-ticket, Grotto, Breakfast, Lunch, three cocktails (15$ each which had barely any alcohol in it) and the massage (with 30$ tip) came out to 740$ for one day. Tickets alone (including grotto and massage) were 510$. Now for us, that is pretty pricey. We saved up for this day in about three months.Would we go there again? No.Do we recommend? If you have the extra money and would like a relaxing spa day, sure go for it.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this review after my recent visit to Glen Ivy Spa, a place that has fallen remarkably short of the luxury and relaxation it promises.Lets start with the food and drinks, the quality of which was nothing short of subpar. The supposed refreshments tasted more akin to supermarket ready-meals than the culinary delights one would expect at a high-end spa. The sangria, purportedly a specialty, was disappointingly derived from boxed wine, lacking the depth of flavor and sophistication one would expect from a place of Glen Ivys reputation. However, the biggest disappointment came from the spa services themselves. I opted for a massage, hoping it would be the relaxing experience I so desperately craved. To say it was the worst massage Ive ever had would be an understatement. My therapists technique was lackluster at best, but more alarming was his heavy breathing throughout the session. It felt as though he might pass out at any moment - an unnerving thought that made it impossible for me to relax or enjoy the experience. The atmosphere that should have been serene and tranquil was instead imbued with discomfort and worry. This experience at Glen Ivy Spa was far removed from the pampering and luxury one might expect from a top-tier spa. Inadequate refreshments and a disconcerting massage experience have left me disappointed and frankly, quite perturbed. Given the breadth of alternative spa options available, I would advise potential patrons to consider other establishments for a more enjoyable and relaxing spa day.
I love Glen Ivy it sure erases the stress of the world. Relax in any of the pools or have any of the services. Dont forget the grotto. There is something about the clay and cave that is extra relaxing (unless people are talking loudly).Do yourself a favor and get away from it all for the day. Some think its expensive but I think Im worth it. Sometimes I just go for the waters and sometimes I get a service, I always get a bloody Mary though🌞.Hope to see you there soon. Your body and mind will thank you.
This place is great when it comes to facilities but the food quality is just awful and extremely overpriced. $16 for the small wrap that was absolutely disgusting. Same with alcohol. I didn’t think I could go wrong with Sangria but that was definitely worst sangria I’ve ever had.I’d expect from spa like that to have good nutritious fresh food, more vegan options or at least let people bring their own snacks.
This place has changed quite a bit over the yrs. They have a restaurant with a variety of options. The mineral baths are still nice to enjoy. The one thing that was very disappointing was that they have replaced the two round shallow spring water pools with regular pool water! There are plenty of places to lay around in the sun or in shady areas. The clay mud area is still a great joy that everyone must try at the end of the day. Theyre open until October 22nd.
Cousin took me and Aunt there and we had a blast! It was my 1st time going to an actual spa. I felt relaxed and refreshed. The place looked clean. I wish there was more shade in the shallow pool area. After trying out the mud, and I put some on my face its like I looked 10 years younger. We did almost everything except the grotto and the massage. The massage is more pricey than usual. The food was excellent! I can stay here all day. I would come back and try more. The vegan options are a plenty. Its not some sad salad!
I cannot think of a better way to spend my birthday month than enjoying a peaceful day at Glen Ivy. I started my day by enjoying a 50min Swedish massage. My sister book a pedicure. Next we grab a drink from the bar. Then we soaked in a mineral water hot tub. Afterwords we grabbed some food at the Ivy Kitchen. I had juicy cheese burger and my sister had a chicken sandwich!
Gorgeous little spa! It gets crowded by 2 pm so get there early. I got the grotto experience and its great for people that like very very hot and dry rooms. The mineral pools are great but definitely a smell after a long day with saltine pools all around. The place is quite hidden and lines do form at the entrance and for some of the experiences so be patient!
Ive been coming to Glen Ivy for years, and sad to say, but the place is really going downhill. The clientele especially. The expectation of a spa experience is one of peace and tranquility. You will not find this here on a Sat or Sun with loud, drunk people running around disrupting your zen. Its more like a Vegas pool party at the Golden Nugget, if you catch my drift. Upon check-in, we were greeted by loud music coming from the front pool due to a water aerobics class going on (wayyyy too loud for a spa IMO). I think their biggest mistake was the decision to serve booze. I realize that alcohol is a cash cow, but in a place that promotes wellness that doesnt exactly fit into the picture. The massage was really nice but not worth the price you pay to endure the other nonsense. So I guess in the future Ill be taking my business to more luxurious spas such as Burke Williams and Montage where one can truly relax and enjoy the full spa experience.
I went for an evening session and added a trip to the grotto. Relaxing experience over all. Clean facilities and not crowded. I was able to go where I wanted, from hot cold plunge, to soaking in mineral water, saline spa, regular pools, mud area and saunas. Looking forward to going again!
Love coming here. I try to come at least once a year. Normally around Mother’s Day or my birthday. Always recommend. Food is also great here. Drink are awesome. I will say I wish they had more blue floating beds because at times we have a long wait to get one. Besides that everything is awesome.
I had never been here before, so I splurged and went with the passport to wellness. The attendant was nice, but aside from the cursory tour, I felt kind of dumped into my cabana with a crude map of the facilities and no idea what to do or where to go. There were a ton of creepy, bearded old men everywhere leering at all the women in swimsuits, which was unnerving. ALL the spas were full with a wait time. Not very relaxing at all. My service was ok, but felt pressured to add services onto the already pricey massage. I ordered the charcuterie and I was amazed at how they were able to screw that up. Huge chunks of cheese and a half wheel of brie with no utensils offered. I did the best I could getting it onto the crackers. For the price of $20, I feel like I could have put that together for less than $7 and still made a profit. I ordered a glass of white zinfandel to go with it, and it came warm in a cheap plastic cup. I was SUPER disappointed. There were no staff available to help or explain how to use the services. I feel like I spent the whole day trying to figure out what everything was, where everything was, and being disappointed with the food. Overall, the experience sucked from the booking process to the time I walked back to my car...minus about $600 in my pocket. Not worth it IMHO.
Nice location. Rooms are well kept. Like that they have coffee.
I’ve been going here for 10 years plus. On my most recent visit be prepared for sticker shocked at the price for a day entry. Now I understand inflation but HolyShit, this was nuts. It’s gone up at least 100%. And the food, not sure what happened here but we ordered the regular large nachos to share and we were both amazed at the portion and the lack of toppings. We asked for sour cream and we’re told they had none. Our service was so so. We weren’t given any napkins until later. I’m just super disappointed about the price gouging. For 2 people we spent about $300. No special treatments, except the grotto, it’s required now that when you come you must book an appointment .
Never answered the phone. Or emails. Horrible customer service. Wanted to reschedule and couldn’t Because no one answered the stupid phone or emails. so spent $300 for no reason.
Spent a day here recently- over all it was fun with vacuous activities. The massage was amazing, the staff was friendly, and the resort was clean. But a big thumbs down is the resort does not offer Wi-Fi access (only in the cafe) so I wasn’t able to connect for a meeting. Yes some people have to work while trying to relax. Another 👎🏼 was having only 1 shower in the mud area to rinse off. So you have to wait in line- HUGE inconvenience!
We just went for the evening on Saturday. Let me start by setting the expectation for you that this is the Disneyland of Spas. People come here to drink and there were plenty of loud people despite all the signs asking for Spa Voices only - including a woman in the showers scream-laughing for a solid 5 minutes with her friend because she was naked in the hallway. We did the sulfer baths, then the mud pool, and even paid extra for the Grotto. My big anxiety thing here is that there isnt much direction or description. We asked 3 employees before we got an accurate description of what the Grotto was.Once the day pass people left, things were finally relaxing. We were underwhelmed with the restaurant because its just a nicer order-n-go place than your average IKEA Cafe. We got the pizza (flatbread) and the Impossible burger served with chilled brocollini. Pizza was good, brocolli was a weird choice. The best part of the day was the last thing we did: the cold plunge. It was good company all pushing ourselves to get in the water. Id go again, maybe on a weekday or something in hopes of smaller, less rowdy groups.
Hydro massage was definitely not what I thought it was, but the pools and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back to experience the rest of the spa. My girlfriend said the facial was amazing and she felt great after. Also note all alcohol served there is wine based still tasted great though.
Very relaxing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Spend$85 right now for a gift certificate valued at $100. Its a great deal because admission is$85, and there are many things to do that are included in that period price. Its like a vacation wrapped up in half a day. Its so worth it, not a hotel, though.
Chose to start the day with a Grotto appointment (11:30 but we were taken in earlier) and not commit ourselves to any other time specific treatments so we could completely relax and not worry about rushing for a thing. There is so much to take in, there wouldnt have been time to squeeze a massage in anyway. Best decision! We arrived at 9:30 and took our time in the Bath House getting ready and warming up in the Roman Bath & Steam Room. The Grotto was fantastic, really moisturizing. Be warned, if youre the first to use the showers they are COLD. lol! We then strolled over to have lunch at the Ivy Kitchen. Mediocre food but we were too relaxed to care. Then we just went from pool to pool experiencing the variety of therapies and human characters. Heads-up, the cold Plunge Pool feels like ice so get in a hot pool first to warm up on the inside. The hot Plunge was not as hot as it should have been so many folks were running back & forth from the Saline pool. We felt ~10yrs younger by the time we left at ~3pm. The staff was helpful & friendly throughout.
Perfect day of rest and relaxation. Between the different jacuzzis the mineral bath the dry sauna and wet saunas youve got everything you need to restore yourself back to good as new. I personally wouldnt have any services done there because theyre overpriced compared to what you can get outside such as massages manicures Etc.***UPDATE April 2022 Well, after the Covid shutdown they first only allowed those in who paid for very pricy packages or services, around $200+. NO general admisions. VEry dishartening since I had some gift cards, which they stated they dont buy back. So for a YEAR I could not go in. I finally, after all this time, got to go in this month at the last minute. They only have a FEW general admissions to enter, or the min. youll pay is $110 for entrance ($85) and the Grotto added on. Seems like corporae greed to me. With the famil never sold. So in the 2 years since I could t get in, it went from $55 to $85 to enter. I did enjoy my stay, but didnt feel as satisfied as when I didnt have to pay so much to enter and enjoy all the pools/spas and classes. Also no more refills on ice tea? Really? the cheapest thing on the menu and the price is $4 for a 12 oz I beliee cup. Also had a salad. Pricy at $19 but at least a great portion and tasted amazing. So took off 2 stars for mostly catering to bit spenders and cutting out those who just want to enjoy the facilities, also now there are no in and out privileges and the food is pricey. But I guess this is what happens when a corporation buys the facility from a family. 😭
I loved this place! Make sure you check out the club mud & the hot and cold plunge. Free parking, free lockers, & free towel service. I felt like I was on vacation in Cancun or Cabo. Super friendly staff. If you go, definitely try out one of their wellness activities. My favorite was ‘aqua tone’. 10/10 recommend this place.
Great day with friends. Love the grotto treatment. Did a sound bath but just she just used a speaker instead of sound instrument, still relaxing. So that was not what we were expecting! But overall always love Glen Ivy. Looking forward to the next visit.
Went on a Saturday D.i.L.🎂 birthday. I actually enjoyed myself. Went to the pool👙 and relaxed and drank🍻. About 2 hours after went to Dinner the food🍕🍔 is Delicious then after, my Comadre and I were booked for the Grotto they literally paint 🧑🎨you with mud but, you go to the next room and you cant sit down your sliding. I laughed waited 10 minutes and went to wash it off it was a nice feeling.. Towards, the end it was time to leave I think they should have their employees clean every shower🚿 after each guest..I went into the handicap🩼 shower.. It was gross🤢 first thing that caught my eye was the shower floor hair, rubber bands, just disgusting then the shower wall with hair and eyelashes 👁️.. Honestly, I know its not Glen Ivys fault.. Its the customer. Just wear shower shoes like we did cant trust other people. But, besides that its really relaxing. Make sure you make reservations ahead..Its pricey too..But, I would do it again 😞 next time I want a massage🧍..
Great resort and i will be back again. Amazing service, great vibes and the pools are so much fun. Make sure you go to the grotto and go through all the recommended therapy pools first and get that service done as your last stop. My skin feels amazing and Im so relaxed. My scheduled massage was amazing and the staff were so helpful when i scheduled the wrong type of massage. They changed it right there and had me schedule at the same time. This is definitely a multiple times a year spa that needs to be on everyones list.
Beautiful place. Great place to just chill out for the day.
Me and my bestie went and loved itThe Starbucks on site isnt really Starbucks just using the name . But other than that we loved it and will be comming back during cold szn🥰 the staff were so nice
My husband did the mens facial and loved it. I couldnt go without going into the Shea butter in the grotto. It was fun and relaxing. Great drink options, with and without alcohol.
Loved Glen Ivy! We came for a day tour and arrived early around 10am. We did not book any of the services and just wanted to try the pools since its our first time.My favorite was the hot/cold pool. It was so relaxing to soak in hot water and then move into cold water. My body hurts at first but it was rejuvenated after. We also had the best people with us in the pool. We just met there but motivated each other to stay a little longer in the icy cold water. It was fun!The mud spa was also great! I think it really exfoliated the dead skin on my body. Also met wonderful people in the oven room. The resto was surprisingly really good! Everything we ordered tasted great! Pay extra for the all-day drinks, its worth it!After lunch, we went to the pool at the back, got a floater and took a nap. Theres so many pools in here that you got to try so come early to max the experience. We left relaxed and refreshed. Bodies asked for 24hours of sleep but surely it was an amazing experience!
I didnt stay overnight, just a day pass. It was a beautiful experience
Love this place. Its like Disneyland for adults. However the price has increased dramatically since covid. Havent been back since. Hopefully they will have some discounted days. Staff is always friendly and love spending a girls spa day here.
My birthday trip was temporarily ruined because this place has to blast club music deafeningly loud for water classes. Everything else was really great. The paint and sip was awesome and all the employees were great.
Would not consider this a spa and more of a resort style getaway. The food and drinks were ok. Customer service could be better. Very loud Environment, even in the grotto. The locker rooms are outdated and feel a little musky. Those are the reasons I gave it a 3 star. The grounds overall are very beautiful though. The plunge pools and club mud were they best parts of the trip for me. Wish they would rebrand it as a resort style getaway and NOT a spa. As a frequent spa goer I felt deceived by what I experienced.
Such a beautiful place. Nia made my day! She is an incredible employee, going well above and beyond to make visitors feel special and well taken care of! Thank you Nia!Only complaint I have is that the restaurant is a little pricey for a casual dining experience, where you wait in line to place your order and find your own table. I believe they are more than equipped to provide a more elevated dining experience that may include a host to seat you and wait staff to check in on tables.
I have been here a few times, normally its pretty nice, however I booked a evening with service and grotto for my birthday and ended up not getting my grotto. When I showed up for check in they couldnt find my reservation, then there was an issue with adding us (my husband and I) to the next grotto appointment. Ended up getting my money back and leaving early. Kinda sucked, especially since the grotto is what I like to do before leaving.
At least once a year, take the time and pamper yourself to a day spa, Glen ivy is affordable, relaxing n if your follow skin regiment to start with opening your pores , cleansing, detox with minerals surfer jacuzzi, red clay for exfloitate your old skin, steam , saunas n to really make your skin glow n soft. Everyone should do Glen ivy once a year. Rejuvenate our soul body n mind.
I have always wanted to come here, and it didnt disappoint. Gorgeous grounds, plenty of nooks and crannies and pools and spas to hang out alone or with a group, and it was very clean. I did the day pass with massage and grotto experience. I loved my massage, but thought the pricing was a little high for only 50 minutes. Besides that, the grotto was so lush and hydrating after utilizing the clay area, and Id definitely recommend that add on to everyone. My package also came with a hot coco and cookie too, which was so good! If you only do the day pass, its still amazing and I recommend bringing your own robe to bum around in and save the $20 for the rental. Everyones in their bathing suits, and most areas are co-ed. Great for family or friend time, romance, or just me time. They check your bag for outside food and drinks, but have a restaurant and bar on site that looked fine, but I didnt indulge. I cant wait to come back here! Its worth the trip from LA just be prepared for the traffic coming back if you leave around closing time. We just opted to do dinner out there afterwards to wait it out a bit. ❤️ Really such a beautiful and relaxing place.
Last minute thing, just want to be away from the city. We came on halloween day and surprisingly, not crowded! The feeling of less ppl to wander wherever I want! The roman bath all to myself! Steam room to myself! The Terrace, Secret Garden, wandered around freely, less people, they let you go anywhere.Today, the attendant said around 100 ppl, on the weekend around 700 ppl. Big difference!Enjoy every moment of it🙂
My friend and I relaxed at the Glen Ivy Hot Springs. We went on a rainy day but there is plenty to do. We enjoyed the Roman Bath and the outdoor spa. We picked the Aroma Therapy massage. There is flavored water and towels throughout. I would leave the water bottle and towel at home. Be sure to bring your ID, phone and wallet. Be sure to put a card online before coming to the hot spring so you only have to say your name when buying food.
I work there 40 years ago or more. My mother was a masseuse there. Her name is Tess Wanda Garcia or she went by a cherry Garcia. She was a good masseuse. Anyway, an outstanding resort I would recommend it to everyone outstanding indeed 💯
I loved my experience at Glen Ivy. The pools and club mud were amazing. I did the grotto experience and I loved the moisturizing treatment. The grotto itself is concrete made to look like rock. It was kinda musty smelling and I thought the dusty fake plants were a little tacky. My shower off after was cold too and I was unable to adjust the temp. Food and drinks were delicious, but overpriced. We did the hydromassage which was a waste of time and money. There was no attendant when we went to check in for the massage and 15min later when I went to the front desk to say something, the employee wasnt very pleasant about it. I recommend the place to spend the day and soak, but unless you are flush with cash, I dont recommend any of the services. I have found better quality for much cheaper elsewhere.
This has to be the most relaxing place in the IE! Relaxed in the mineral spas and relaxed in the shallow pool with a few drinks. Drinks are a little pricey though. Also did the paint and sip which was fun.
The food was fantastic especially the nachos! The overall experience of the day was fabulous and memories of a lifetime! Staff was friendly and just spectacular ! The grotto was awesome! Overall wonderful experience! Must try if you like to relax and take in the experiences!
