Weak drinks and bad bartenders. Guess they dont like people who spend money. Swear I drank like 5 jack and cokes and couldnt taste a thing. Go to the watering hole! Best bartenders, cheaper drinks and better atmosphere!!! Youll thank me!

If youre looking for a dive bar with a good crowd, this is the place. Friendly staff, music at the right volume (and its a juke box, so pay up if you want your jams on), good drinks, and a cool atmosphere. Yeah, it seems a little dirty, but its old. Dirt and age, the lines get blurred... Its so old its the longest running liquor license in the state of Texas (thus the oldest establishment in Texas on the exterior). Check it out if youre in Corpus!

This place has always caught my eye when I’m in the area. Stopped in one night to check it out. Super divey. Definitely got a lot of stares when we first walked in, but everyone was friendly.The main entrance is opposite the side facing Leopard. Looks like there’s an upstairs deck, but it didn’t seem to be open when we were there. Inside there are two pool tables, and it’s $1 per game. The pool table we picked was missing a ball.The only thing I did not like was that people were smoking inside. I was surprised as I thought smoking was banned indoors, but none of the bartenders said anything.

I should have come here sooner. A great beer and great atmosphere.

Amazing service and food! We ate there for lunch and the lady was so kind and attentive. We had the burgers and gorditas and they were both delicious. We will be back for more of the daily specials!

Fridays is catfish or lasagna. Norma is friendly and fast with service. The lasagna was delicious.

Can start drinking at seven A.M. and can still smoke indoors! These kids nowadays dont know true day drinking. Next time you are out in the charming Baldwin and Leopard area, stop in. Great service by the way!

I was working nights at a local plant so it was a good place to meet up with coworkers and enjoy some cold beers after work. We enjoyed our time there as they have a few pool tables. Definitely a good spot to enjoy some beers after work.

Emily was as helpful as a guide to Corpus as anyone I’ve met in weeks!! The beverages were pricey for expectations based on the saloon name- but- friendly atmosphere and I’d go back for a drink.

Lous was known as the Oilfield Trash Bar for years. A lot of Oilfield money has flowed there. I just went to the 70th Anniversary Oct. 2022 and saw a lot of faces I havent seen in years. Just a good old fashioned bar with both up and down stairs with pool tables and lots of stories.

After living in Corpus for 9 years I just recently went there. The place is great, the atmosphere is fantastic and so is ihe Staff. I hear the food is great to, but unfortunately the kitchen was closed and I didnt get to try it. Wow that sounds like a good excuse to go back! Will let you know how that turns out...

A great place for gathering for drinks. Bar has been around for yrs. Jukebox gots a good variety of music. Im a beer drinker and they can make some good mixed drinks for the ladies as well.

The oldest bar, well two bars in Corpus and a very cool dive with friendly bartenders and great lunch. The downside is the neighborhood being completely industrial which may be good for their daytime crowds working around the area but doesnt bring in too many from downtown at night. Worth the drive to check out a piece of history and an excellent burger.

Old school...like real old school bar. Dont let appearance fool you. Their lunch specials are fantastic and the lady who works during lunch is extremely nice and proud of her work. She has been working there for 10 years yet has the enthusiasm of a new employee.

Over the years (1994-present) Ive had good times at this Saloon. Its a local landmark and pretty much stays the same. Different groups gather here and it remains a good place to hang out with pals or just the friendly bar staff....oldie but goodie....

Cool. The downstairs bar is awesome. Plenty of room for drinking a few cold pitchers. People are friendly, and the barmaids are very friendly also. Ill give it 5 stars.

It is an awsome place I love being there with my friends (customers and the bar tenders), especially momma Dory shes cool she calls me her bar son . We all have that respect for one another And our friendship Is the greatest. Some of us have shed a few tears and have heard us out when were drunk at one point or another. But never the less we have all been there for eachother.

Weve always talked about stopping into this place, and even though Monday nights are not the best for socializing ( we were 3 of maybe 8 people there) the drink prices were very good and we didnt have to wait for service!!! We also played a old bar game similar to shuffle board, the bartender said it was 50 years old, and it was a lot of fun!!

Our first visit to this place. Chose it because of it being within easy walk of LQ we were staying at. We first had a drink at the downstairs bar and then went upstairs for the remainder of our evening. Lady bartender downstairs was friendly and helpful. Liz, bartender upstairs, was equally the same. Small crowd, but a couple of other guys befriended us and the four of us spent the evening in conversation, with additional interaction with Liz. A very enjoyable evening.

My friend and I stopped in after visiting the Selena Museum and it was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was so wonderful, the drinks were perfect, music was great and we cant wait to come back :)

A historic bar with great drinks and i how it never closes, just dont know why allot of people dont go there anymore. It has two levels plus an upstairs patio area, and the walls are completely decorated with original and vintage decorations, and not forget the two full bars.

Fantastic local spot, authentic charm on display from the outside in. Grab a punching bloody Mary and dig in to some delicious beef tacos all in the friendly local vibe you cant replicate.

I been coming here for 2 months and Ive meet lots of great nice people. The bar tenders are very nice and always happy to see you walk in. I feel like Im at home here. Thankyou to all the staff members who work here.

I spent 14 months (June 2014 thru August 2015) working in Corpus and Lous was my home away from home when I was off work. All the bartenders were very friendly, the atmosphere is great, the prices were very reasonable and the beer was always cold! If Im ever back in Corpus, you can bet Ill be occupying a bar stool!

The food is to die for it’s so good! You wouldn’t think it and assume it taste like bar food but it’s sooooooo good!!

Went to lunch. We had a giant burger, bean & cheese nachos, huge onion rings. Nachos made with flour tortillas. Most Excellent! Kudos to the chef Maria..

You can smoke cigarettes upstairs but not Cigars....really!!! Someone make sense to this for me? Now as for the customer service, well its a wipe your feet when you leave place. Cool old bar, but no good if I cant smoke a cigar.

Been there several times spend over 100 dollars take friends with me and today of all days waitress was like literally ignoring us like if we werent there very upset we stand there waiting to be waited on and someone walks in and attends them first it happened like 4 times in 2 and a half hours. But ok..

Super fun time here with Karaoke. The karaoke setup was lame (one mic and one tiny little screen) but the KJ was very fun and friendly.

Happy hour here can get a bit crazy but why not. Its a great place to unwind, has game choices and service was excellent.
