I was really looking forward to a good time at this bar until a very unpleasant, rude and unprofessional bartender ruined the time spent here.It was a great crowd and two guys allowed my friend and I to have their seats at the bar. It’s really busy so we wait about ten minutes before either bartender could assist us. A wait is understandable but to be blatantly skipped is not.Christian the rude, obnoxious and disrespectful employee purposely looked behind my friend and I and took a guy’s order. When we jokingly asked him how he just looked over us he rudely said “this isn’t a grocery store.”I guess that means he doesn’t have to go in order. He purposely waters down my drink I watch him make it. My friend declined him making hers and waits on Sydney who saved the experience from being all bad and made really good and strong cocktails.Unfortunately Christian is jerk who lacks quality customer service, manners and respect for paying and tipping customers. I hope the establishment is able to hire more qualified staff in the future.
Super fun place! Nice outdoor area, indoor seating and rooftop bar. The cocktails we got were absolutely delicious! The food was good too. Very busy. Parking was a little difficult to find but the metered parking a couple streets down was super cheap. Valet is available should that be your choice. Booth seating as well as high tables. You can also reserve a private booth with a personal tv. The food was overpriced but it was still good. I would say you’re paying more for the vibe than the anything. I am looking forward to going back for the rooftop bar!
First visit 5-4-24. Visited day after 22nd anniversary.Seen this place on Instagram, like many others, but it was 12pm and heading to a usual spot and wanted something new..Walking in we loved the feel and the vibe of the place, because you know, if you dont feel it most likely you wont like it. Games on on all the tvs, good music playing, nice and cold inside, and one thing I really liked is that it was spacious between tables all around.Ordered fried pickles, wings, and a normal cheese burger with fries.Fried pickles: good taste, they were not all covered in batter, which I liked. Wife tried them with ranch and loved the thickness of ranch. Got a side of Buffalo sauce, but I wasnt pleased with the taste. I couldnt seem to find what it tasted like, and after so much of it, I could barely eat it. Maybe too vinegary and sweetness too it.Burger and fries: very tasteful. Meat looked like fresh beef, not some frozen stuff. It was juicy and tasted great. And the fries were amazing, almost like some thick curly fries, they were soft but yet crispy at the same time.Wings: Ordered lemon pepper with a side of Buffalo sauce (before I tried it). Wings were a reasonable size, steaming hot, and juicy. Not overwhelming with lemon pepper, which is a plus, and still dipped it Buffalo sauce to get the feeling of Buffalo wings. Still good, but wont get Buffalo. With all said, I will definitely come back and try a different item, but probably not Im a wing person.
I’ve been here multiple times and always enjoyed the experience. Spouse and I came again for our anniversary, and the experience did not disappoint. Our server, Emily H., had such a lovely spirit and we deeply appreciate her making our anniversary special. Thank you to the staff in the kitchen for the delicious food!
It sounds like you had a fantastic time at the venue! A nice outdoor area, indoor seating, and a rooftop bar offer a variety of options for enjoying the atmosphere. Delicious cocktails and good food added to the experience, despite the busyness of the place. While parking may have been a bit of a challenge, its great that you found a solution nearby. Thanks for sharing your experience!
One of my favorite spots in Dallas. Whenever people visit me from out of town, this is where I like taking them. Their Rooftop is one of my favorites. Drinks are good. With the right DJ, it could be a memorable night.Great place to watch Dallas sports, date night, or just hanging out with friends.
My husband and I traveled to Dallas, TX to see Anita Baker in concert. One of the restaurants near our hotel was Happiest Hour. The restaurant looked busy! They have indoor, outdoor, upper level private parties and several other rooms reserved for friend and family holiday parties! It was really cool. The atmosphere was decorated with Christmas lights. The music was loud, which made it very difficult to have a conversation without leaning forward to screaming across the table.I paid $40 for a soft pretzel. My first thought was, “wow, $40, for a pretzel!?!? It better be worth it.” Well, it definitely was the largest pretzel I’ve ever shared with my friends and family at a restaurant. It was super soft and the cheese, horseradish and creamy glaze dip was plentiful and tasty. If you are out with a group of friend, I recommend sharing this pretzel. We also ordered some wings to share with everyone. The Jerk and Garlic Parmesan flavors were delicious! The large pretzel and wings filled us up so we never got around to ordering an actual meal. Trust me, you won’t need to order more food.We also ordered a large Modelo drink to share. It came in a tall beaker dispenser. It was really cool.Stop and check Happiest Hour out when you are in Dallas, TX. Very cool and hip atmosphere.
Not the happiest couple hours. My friends and I got a few drinks and appetizers after which we wanted to go check out the rooftop. We did leave our belongings at the table to signal our intent to return shortly. The place was pretty empty at this point so we figured it would be fine to leave the table for a little bit. Our waitress met us upstairs 10 minutes later asking us to pay the bill after which we went downstairs to realize our barely touched food was gone. We were pretty disappointed so they gave us a $47 discount on our bill. It makes you wonder why they would do this. If they could come upstairs and hand us the bill, why would they not just ask us to clear the table out?We then proceeded to get some drinks at the bar only to be met with unnecessary rudeness from the bartender towards women in our group. Not sure if they had something against us or if they really didn’t want people of our ethnicity in the establishment. Well they can rest easy knowing we won’t be going back. I’m pretty sure they don’t like brown people here looking at other reviews.
This is a huge sport bar for a younger crowd, based on how loud they run their multiple areas, even outside was loud. Food and service was ok, but some of my friends were. It too happy. Ordered a funnel cake and it was really hard, they brought a 2nd cake and it was even harder. At the end they charged me for both $24. Even though they took the first one away. Things that I really appreciate. prob wont try it again. Our server was really trying, but I believe it’s managerial thing.
The place itself is beautiful especially during the daytime. The patio and the colorful red chairs. However, my one star comes to the rude staff encounters. I dont like to go to bars anymore for this exact reason. If I want to exchange or modify my drink it shouldnt be reason for a bartender to shame and ignore me. Its super unprofessional and almost ruined the experience for me.I told the manager how I felt and she was super sweet so I appreciate her listening to me.Hopefully no one else experiences this.No one deserves that.
I came in on a Monday night, the last 45 minutes to be exact on June 24. I ordered 3 green tea shots from the bartender. My total came to $35 and some change. I paid the total with my card and left a cash tip. I randomly looked at my account statement later that week and seen where the charge came out to $45 and some change. I called the Thursday after my visit, they took my info but I was never called back. I called a week later asked for a manager and I was told the manager wasn’t around to take a call but for me to leave my info and they’ll get back to me. I still haven’t heard anything and it’s been 2 weeks now. It’s only $10 that the bartender voluntarily took, but it’s more so about the principles of the actions. That’s not cool. And I’m still waiting on a call, an apology and also my $10.
This bar/restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. I felt the “city vibe.” It has an amazing rooftop. I wish we had walked up and drank up there, but I was unaware at the time. Do yourself a favor and check out the rooftop, especially at night to see the beautiful lights of Dallas. We ordered two Shiners, which were very warm. We had to force ourselves to drink them. The truffle french fries were great. Flatbread Pizza was average, nothing special about it. Husband got the buffalo chicken wings. They were your basic wings. Very crunchy, flavorless and not spicy at all. In conclusion, food was very basic bar food. Come to this place to check out the city vibes.
This place is super chill, has a ton of outdoor seating with an outdoor bar open even during week nights. Has a good variety of food. We ordered the burger and fries, and the breakfast tacos. Was a solid medium burger, juicy and super crispy thick cut fries. Waiting staff is very attentive, friendly.
2nd time here in the past two weeks. Love it!! Food always on point. Celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday 7/6 tonight with a large party of 18. Our food came fast and perfect. Free valet parking. Didn’t need reservations and we were seated with no problem. Our waitress was amazing. She was the highlight of our night! Hate I didn’t get her name. Beautiful young lady. She Made our experience the best ever! Did not mind tipping her extra on top of the included tip! Will definitely be back. One suggestion…with the hot temperature if this place had frozen margaritas, man! 🙂🙂
Great night out with family... tried the party nachos. 😋 Didnt look too worried when they brought them out, delicious toppings, and plenty to go around each chip. We thought... weve got this. These nachos are going down!! After a very good attempt, the nachos Won 🏆 😋. Great service, great food, and great screens!! 👍🏻 Definitely recommend 👌 #nachonight #happiesthour
The food is decent here, nothing rave about, but I like the large outdoor patio and many seating areas. There’s no cover to come in, and I absolutely love the complimentary valet. I didn’t drink, but my friends had several, so I assume they make good drinks? lolWe ordered the Calamari, Salmon burger, Crab Mac & Cheese, and the D4K burger. I loved the portion of everything; however, the flavor was lacking in the Mac and cheese. The calamari was my favorite!
My friend & I are both from Oregon.. We were looking for a good places to visit in Dallas and tried happiest hour. Along with a great menu and atmosphere, what really made the difference was our patio bartender Wes Clark. Being from out of town we had little knowledge on the city. Hats off to that guy! He makes the best drinks and we asked him what his favorites are on the menu.. We ordered and 10/10. By far the best service I’ve had in any state to date.
Jose gotta be the best bartender ever! The loaded cheese fries was great but I wasn’t fond of the garlic Parmesan wings. They had no taste. Brooklyn was also a great person to talk to!
Group of 9 went there got a table got drinks and food. We probably had a couple bites from all the 6 dishes that were ordered, left our purses bags at the table to go check out the dance floor real quick. They cleared all our food and let it all go to waste. It was very evident that we were gonna come back to the table but they said they assumed we left. And charged us for the food. This is probably the worst experience I’ve had at any bar/restaurant. Never written a google review before but this time I felt like I had to share this ridiculous experience.
Good place to go to on a Friday night! Parking was good. it wasnt that far of a walk, with tons of spots. When we went upstairs the atmosphere was really nice. Im a little concerned about the floor, though. It was moving alit with all the people up on the rooftop.
The atmosphere was delightful, and the service was exceptional; however, the food did not meet our expectations. We ordered the wings and Caesar salad. The wings were acceptable but could have benefited from more sauce, as they were slightly dry. The salad was overly soggy, the lettuce was not fresh, and the croutons lacked crunch. Overall, we were very disappointed with the food.
I have some really great times at Happiest Hour as I use to live right across the street. We would take my dog here all the time and hang out on the patio. Its amazing on Game days to watch sports with friends and just chill. Would recommend.
This was my 2nd time coming to Happiest Hour. This bar has a great atmosphere and wonderful staff. The energy was positive, and the rooftop bar has decent views. If you get there in late afternoon, you will have the post-work crowd, and later in the evening, you will encounter the pre-club/starting the night out crowd. The number of TVs makes this a great venue for food & drink during sporting events. I have not had the opportunity to try the food yet. I will definitely come back.
Had a wonderful time spending with friends last time!! The place looks soo fabulous with all the lights and ambiance is so good i felt like it’s the most happening place in dallas with all the music and dancing. We need valid ID to enter inside and there’s complimentary valley parking that’s something i was happy about. The food is nice like cheddar fries, cheese pizza, even tried cocktails and mock tails they are nice!! and finally martini shortcake that’s tasted soo great!!! Overall, it’s good experience and had a great start to weekend!!!
We’ve come before but we went on a Friday night for drinks and expectations were definitely met. Our bartender (wish I got her name) was attentive and made suggestions that didn’t disappoint. The drinks were tasty and strong. And I love the valet parking. The guys outside deserve a mention too cause they were very helpful bringing my car back when I forgot my wallet with my ID. Cheese fries were good and a huge portion for 2. We like to stop by before Stars games too!
Happiest Hour saved the day when Hero had a long wait. We sat outdoors and ordered at the bar. Food surprised us – great burger and fries, but avoid the chicken tenders. Service was a bit confusing without clear instructions or numbers for orders. Overall, good food, service could be better.Oh ya, not ideal to watch the game unless you are sitting directly at the bar.
Very good place specially during covid times. Big outdoor seating with low and picnic style tables. Patios and terrace has amazing view of downtown.Very good food multiple options available good Bar Menu. Try their flat breads and cocktails.Tip: Happy Hours at Happiest Hour are from Sunday till Thursday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.Cannot beat it.Enjoy Spring & spirit.
I love this place. It was my first time and it definitely made a good impression on me. Had a drink and chill evening with a group of friends. I love the setting. The soft music in the background. The fire pool up at the patio was everything. The waitress who attended to us was very polite and nice. Loved the ambience. I especially loved the restrooms area, those inspiring words on the walls make for a beautiful view. Very creatively designed. I will definitely be back here. Cant wait to hang out at the outdoor sitting area in the summer. Good job, good job.
Happiest Hour is the go-to spot if you’re in downtown Dallas. If you go be sure to ask for Adrianna’s section, you won’t regret it! Adrianna always makes sure we have a good time. She ensures our drinks and food are exactly what we want. We go for the atmosphere but always end up staying for the great experience the servers provide. Thank you for everything Adrianna!
An upscale bar thats also casual in vibe, the music is good and the rooftop does meet the hype! The drinks come out quickly but the servers are on the slower side. The menu is certainly appetizing but it sounds better than its really is.This is definitely a nice place and great space to hang out in, but there are better options for food!
Went there over the weekend to watch a baseball game. We were told it would be an hour wait for our party of 4, even though there were multiple tables open the entire time we waited. We asked if they could change the big tv to the game (as the majority of the crowd was wearing the baseball team gear) and we were told no.It gave the impression that our group was not welcome there, when we were just there to eat, drink, and watch the game like everyone else.
Great location within walking distance to American Airlines Arena. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! Great service and complimentary valet parking.
Beat Rooftop bar in town. Great drinks and great bartenders. Food will be phenomenal. The stairs arent meant for people such like myself but definitely dont recommend drinking and going down the stairs 🤣🤦♀️Also, the 2nd time around..we had the beat waitress/server ..shout out to Emily for holding it down for us!
At first glance the vibe was spot on, the employees looked like they like working there. All great attitudes and good vibes! There is an upstairs that I personally didn’t get a chance to look at but will soon. Place was well kept clean tables and chairs where modern and no sign of anything broken. Restrooms where extra clean and mirrors in the bathroom are very neat (lighting is 10/10!). Food was just up to par as well as the drinks! I can’t express how much I enjoyed my experience there! Will I go back oh for sure no questions asked! Also, I would like to experience it at night as brunch was just so good I can’t imagine how it would be! Recommend 10/10!
Always a great time at Happiest Hour! It’s fun to see the different crowds and vibes that come through depending on the time of day.If you’re looking for a fun place to watch the Stars or the Mavs, this is it! HUGE screen and other multiple screens to watch, with the game sound feeding through the speakers. They have both fans and heaters for their outdoor area which is a nice touch for Texas weather. For a fun place to just grab a drink and hang, especially when we’re having great weather, this is a no-brainer.The only reason I’m docking a couple of stars:(One star) is for lack of gluten-free indicators on their menu,(One star) as well as the way their food service is set up.With having no GF indicators, they just took the queso off the cheese fries I ordered, and I was left with this horrible sadness that you see here, which I ended up returning for just a basket of fries instead. I’m a HUGE loaded cheese fries fan, but these weren’t it.As for the food service set up: we sat at the outdoor patio area and were told we could order from the bar and have the food delivered. We did just that, but there’s no real way to indicate where you’re sitting, such as table number or geo-track, so the poor bartender was walking laps trying to find us with our food until he finally spotted us (meaning he also had to leave a busy bar to trek all over the restaurant looking for us). At which point our food wasn’t as hot. Would be cool if they could figure out a system to perhaps scan a QR code to order from your phone then put in your table number to alleviate the busy bartenders and the confusion!
The rooftop overview of Downtown Dallas is very inviting and a social gathering, you have to be over the age of 21 for the rooftop. They offer indoor eating as well as eating outdoors in a picnic-park type of environment. The vibe is nice. They have music playing and sports on the TVs. Outdoors there are a few freestanding games : oversized jenga, corn hole, connect four was broken. There are picnic tables outdoors and a bar. If you choose to sit out you have to order your food at the bar. I wouldnt come for the food it was subpar and the drinks were okay. The environment was nice and inviting for friends to throw on jeans and hand out for conversation.
Happiest Hour in Victory Park, Dallas, offers an unbeatable location for sports enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Situated in the heart of Victory Park, its proximity to major sporting venues adds to the excitement of any visit. However, while the menu could benefit from additional food variety, what truly sets this establishment apart is its exceptional staff and vibrant atmosphere. The sprawling outdoor patio, especially buzzing during sporting event weekends, provides the perfect setting to soak in the energy of the city. One standout feature of Happiest Hour is its dedicated staff, with a special mention to bartender Wes Clark. His energetic attitude and personalized service elevate the entire experience, leaving patrons eager to return. Wess genuine engagement with customers creates a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back time and again. However, its worth noting that addressing maintenance issues, such as peeling paint from the ceiling, would enhance the overall appeal of the venue and contribute to a more enjoyable experience for patrons. In summary, Happiest Hour is more than just a sports bar; its a hub of excitement and camaraderie in Victory Park. While the menu could offer more variety and maintenance issues need attention, the exceptional service and lively atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike.
Happiest Hour is our favorite downtown Dallas bar! The food and atmosphere are great but it’s really the servers that make a difference. Adrianna is always our go to server. She’s so fun, nice and goes out of her way to make our evenings the best they can be. Request her section if you want a good time and great experience.
We came here for the first time to check out what they were doing for St. Patricks Day.It was very crowded and there was over an hour wait for seating so we decided we would stand by the bar.We ordered the Green Frozé (not sure if I spelled it right)I was satisfied with the Deep Ellum IPA. The music was good, the atmosphere varied depending on what part of the bar you were at.There are 3 bars I believe, and one has enclosed seating that was exposed to the outside. The main bar is the first one youll see in the middle and the upstairs bar area has a great view of Dallas as well as an outside and inside patio as well. The music is louder and youll catch people jiving up here and loosening up more.We also ordered food. I order 3 brisket tacos and they were perfect all the way around. I ate them soo fast as it was a bit cold at the time and I wanted to enjoy them warm.We also ordered a chicken sandwich, only finish half and it was thrown away. Good thing is it was a very memorable sandwich, bad thing is we didnt get to finish the other half.Jill was awesome and was able to provide seating for us. Jill gets things done! She was helping enforce fair seating as patrons would scoop into a table and cause a delay for others waiting.Steven was the best as well. He helped me get a beer faster than expected after trying to get one myself. He also helped us acquire more seating and tended to all of us in a timely manner. Thanks! Well stop by again some time!
Good food, Good service. The main reason to come here is because of location. Middle of downtown with great views from the patio. Definitely a place I would come with the friends play some games enjoy the weather. Probably not going just for the food.
The burger here was delicious! I ordered a grilled chicken burger with Caesar salad on the side, and the quantity was pretty impressive! And the salad was also great and fresh. The staff is very humble. Our server was so calm and happy to help kinda guy. He was not the assigned server initially, but since we called him my chance, he was happy to help us! :) the experience was pretty amazing. It was very crowded since we went on a Friday evening and it’s located in prime downtown, but the outdoor seats are free, so you can sit there if you can find one. There where we sat. They had a lot of safety protocols and asked the guys of our group to show their waist line to suspect any firearms I guess!Gave it a 4 because at times we felt maybe the staff is less for the amount of crowd they get. But overall it was pretty good!
Modern, urban, rustic...Great for after work wind down, meet-ups with friends, and date night. Good wine selection, great beer selection, good food, waitstaff was friendly, a valet option, and nice views. Ages looked to be mid twenties to mid forties on this particular day. The holiday decor was awesome! There are multiple spaces in which to either engage or to cozily enjoy ones own company. I was able to enjoy music and conversation without strain, perfect! Im looking forward to the warmer weather, when the patios are uncovered!!
Cool sports bar in a great location with decent food. The place is large, with a second floor and tons of outdoor seating. They had heaters going outside. Great views of the city especially from outside. Service was good. We just tried the three dip plate and it was okay, nothing to write home about. Pretty good beer selection but not as great as some other places in the area. Really trendy crowd and a positive place to spend time. They had some yard games outside and an outdoor bar for the warmer months. Prices were a bit high.
Great atmosphere! Beautiful bar downstairs and upstairs. Loved the views and awesome people. Had a good amount of seating and good music playing. Definitely will go back again
Interesting place to drink & eat average food as a group but missing retailtainment and customer engagement experience. I would suggest ordering sliders, not the expensive large burger, for flavor & value. This is not a place for the Foodies.
First off, we had RSVP. Got seated on time, but we didn’t have a server for 15 mins. No one came by to greet us or even give us water. We had to ask the hostess. Finally, a female came but she was horrible. She only came by to our table 3 times the whole time we were here. First to take our order, ask us how we’re doing after other people dropped off our food, then to check us out. She then messed up our bill. Don’t think she was all there mentally. Trout was ok, HIGHLY recommend the chef removing the skin.. it was wayyyy fishy. Good selection of wines though.
Very cool little spot. When we first sat down, our waiter seemed nice and was very friendly, but after we ordered he stopped coming to our table. It took 30 mins for our food to come out. Ordered the philly cheese steak, which was good but was missing something. Also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which was amazing. After an hour we had to ask another waiter for a to-go box cause ours never came back. Went upstairs to the bar, all the bartenders were super friendly and funny. Drinks were strong, but fruity! They played classic rock music in the dining area and upstairs they had a DJ who played pop music. They have something for everybody. If not for our food taking so long to come out, would of rated this place 5 stars.
Atmosphere is perfect for socializing. Tons of outdoor seating which makes it a great middle of the day spot. They can get super busy and when they do there will be a wait otherwise it’s pretty smooth service. The drinks are ok and the food is average. I’m sharing photos of the Cobb and taco salad. Everything looks great but again they are only average on the food scale/ Overall a great place to hangout with friends.
Love this place! The atmosphere is off the charts. One thing that i will miss is Wes Clark at the Patio bar! He was the most professional bar tender I have ever interacted with. Sad to see him go.
Happiest Hour is a great example of a social bar eatery done right. The food is well priced for the quality, and the ambiance is top notch. My only issue if any with Happiest Hour is simply the high cost of the drinks though its largely in part due to Uptown Dallas. Make sure you visit the roof patio featuring great views, and fire pits perfect for a date or simply hanging out with friends.
This is club has it all, a sleek fancy rooftop area, and a big rowdy dance floor with views upstairs. Then downstairs is a more chill indoor restaurant section, and a big patio with homey outdoor beer garden area. A true mix of sleek city with Texas vibes. Pretty crowded which was great
This is kind of a mix review . I live close to the happiest hour and would go there with my dog a lot and sit with Wes Clark and have wings and a beer . Wes would always take such great care of me and the pup.. never too busy to take my order, make sure it was right , bring water for the pup and check on us … regardless of how busy it was . It shocked me to learn he was no longer there and it showed with the lack of services I received.
I had the wing appetizer and got the garlic parmesan and hot lemon pepper wings. The wings were cooked perfectly! The hot lemon pepper was very flavorful, but the garlic parmesan was not as flavorful as I thought they would be to be garlic parmesan. I also got the grilled salmon dinner. The green beans, the small potatoes, and the salmon itself were cooked perfect. The green beans didn’t really have any flavor and the mini potatoes were plain with no salt pepper or other seasonings. The salmon was seared and although one of the best cooked salmon I have eaten it really didn’t have any flavor.
Wow. This is a cool spot for Happy Hour. I came here to meet up with friends before a Dallas Mavericks game. I ordered the fried pickles and a dark beer. Both were delicious and filling. The bartenders were really nice and attentive. They always made sure my water and beer glass were full. The reason why I gave this place four stars is because their prices were higher than what they should be. A few dollars less and this place would get five stars.
Recently started coming here before Mavs/Stars games as it’s only a 5 min walk from the AAC and really wish I knew about it sooner. Would’ve expected a place like this to be crazy overpriced, but was very happy to pay what I think is a standard price for a beer and cocktail. Awesome vibes on the patio
Want to give a big shout out to happiest hours valet team. Manuel Rosales and his crew supplied exceptional service. Great communication with all the weekend chaos! Made my night very smooth. Thanks UnitedValets!
I enjoy coming to happiest hour. I love sitting at the patio bar because the bartender Wes makes phenomenal drinks and is super friendly. I love that they’re dog friendly. I am a vodka girl and I feel like sometimes they’re out of my favorite liquors most of the time.Overall, I keep coming back for the patio bar
Phenomenal spot for a weekend drink and quick bite to eat, highly recommend the firecracker smash drink and dump-wings(Korean or bbq) amazing service liquor and food!! Spent a decent amount , but got several drinks per person, reasonably priced!
I loved Alberto so much! He was so attentive & so nice! The food was so good & we didn’t know what to drink so we asked him to pick & he did not let us down! 10/10 would absolutely recommend! :)
My wife chose this place on a whim while family was visiting without checking food options. Definitely dont visit if expecting a full menu! Music was loud, a little difficult to converse. Atmosphere was awesome though, drinks were great, and large shareable food portions. Complimentary valet parking was a nice surprise. Pictured are the fried pickles and calamari, yum!
Firstly, this was my first time going to this restaurant. Horrible experience. I waited 15 min in the front and nobody attended me to sit me. I was told the kitchen closed at 10pm and I was rushed to put my order in.Secondly, the food was mediocre. I had birria tacos. The tacos were sweet. I had birria tacos before and this falls way below expectation. The meat is not suppose to be sweet. The target audience for this food is people who clearly cant season their food.Thirdly, the place maintenance is terrible, bathrooms were disgusting. The bathroom soap dispenser don’t work. The 2nd floor has broken flooring. The couches to sit on are broken. If yall want good flavored food go to Akard st or ATT design district.
Wes Clarks exceptional service at Happiest Hour was the sole reason I frequented the establishment. His unwavering dedication to taking care of me, my family, and friends made every visit a memorable one. I would always recommend Happiest Hour as a must-visit destination to showcase Wess outstanding hospitality to out-of-town guests.
What an incredible venue. From the time we were seated in the restaurant we were treated like royalty. Excellent service by our server (and the young man she was training), a good selection of specialty cocktails, delicious, original appetizers and a dinner menu to die for. The manager, Cassie, stopped by our table, made suggestions, and offered to escort us to the most amazing roof top after dinner to continue our night out. It was definitely a night to remember!
I have come here many times, when we came for the Stars/Mavs game we sat at a table for 30 minutes before our waiter came over and yelled at us for not ordering with him when that was the first time we met him. We all ordered food and snacks after he came by the first time. The next morning I woke up for an additional $115 charge (separate transaction, hours after I left the bar) - I called Monday to speak to the manager, no call back received. I called this afternoon, was told maybe she would be around over the next couple of days to call me back? Doubt it. Based on reviews seems pretty normal for this establishment.Bad bad customer service, will be disputing with my bank since I cannot get a call back.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. We had such a good time and the chef was so careful when it came to my allergy.
Great place for drinks & snacks! Service wasn’t that great. We had lots of complications with the bill, but overall still a good experience. The environment was really nice. I absolutely loved the covered patio area, especially in this cold weather. There’s plenty of seating & plenty of menu options to choose from. Fried pickles were delicious! I tried the Yas Queen drink - didn’t really taste much alcohol, but it was refreshing. Drinks were really expensive. If you love pretzels, get their giant pretzel. It was HUGE & it’s definitely shareable with a large group!
Very nice ambience, had several games showing which is always nice. The margarita was really good though. The location gets pretty busy on the weekends, so itll be great to plan accordingly. Table wait times could also stretch for a bit and the bar fills up pretty quickly. But you can stand within open space, so thats a plus. Also really good for group outings.
First time going to Happiest Hour after hearing many good things about it and I was delightfully impressed. Its always hit or miss when branching out, but Happiest Hour delivered. The drinks are strong and the food is hot and delicious. The dip trio is a great place to start to whet the appetite. I ordered the brisket tacos for my entrée and they are so amazing. Full of flavor and not dry at all like many other places. The location is tucked away and gives a private kind of feel that I enjoyed. Definitely will be going back.
The drinks and the scenery is amazing. The wings are TRASH!!!I ordered lemon pepper wings and received naked oily wings with a hint of lemon flavor. I was highly disappointed with these wings. The company I was with ordered the burgers and chicken sandwiches, which looked really good. However, I was informed they were bland as well.Happiest Hour is a fun place to go and socialize with friends & family. So I do recommend coming for the experience, but the food could be a lot better. Need more flavor. This place has the potential to have 5 stars, but truly lacks in the culinary.
Don’t come here on Mavs game days unless u want overpriced food and bad service that’s exactly what you’ll get place looks like it’s for the majority of caucasians definitely won’t be coming back to the loud atmosphere and empty tables while they have people standing 😂😂 worst experience ever
This is a great place for a casual group get togethers. They have plenty of outdoor bench seating and indoor seating. We got the team happytizer dumpwings with asain bbq which were super flavorful! There was plenty in that for 4 people. Some of my complaints about this place is the food is slightly pricey for what you get. Also there was only valet parking available so we had to park across the street and pay for parking
I love coming to HH on Saturdays to watch sports and love they’re dog friendly. I like sitting at the patio bar, it has great service, especially from Wes! The bad thing is I feel like they’re usually out of something, like today they’re out of Tito’s….im also devastated the Mac and cheese is gone.
Love it here. Sit with Wes, best and knowledgeable bartender. Good food and drinks, great vibes and views. Thank you for taking care of me on my birthday🤍
Fun atmosphere. We sat with a large group for National Aggie Brunch Day (Gig em) outside under the covered deck with fans. After a few drinks & with a crowd, it gets very warm pretty quickly. The food was tasty. I ordered a salad (they are HUGE) & had plenty left to take home, so you may want to order your dressing on the side. The burgers & chicken sandwiches looked delicious & everyone enjoyed their food.
I have to edit my review 5 months after due to what I consider the most hideous customer service I recieved yesterday. A serving issue that was the fault of the waiter escalated to the point where security almost put hands on my and the manager didnt concisely help resolve it. Im now exploring legal options as a result. I 100% do not recommend this establishment and have no plans of ever going back in any lifetime!
Fun bar, good food, and great people watching, however when I went to use the elevator to go upstairs I was told I couldnt use it. Sucks that half of the bar was now not accessible. When I asked why, I was told that I didnt have an obvious disability. Then was told the elevator is reserved for ADA needs and to take drunk people down from upstairs. I informed him I cannot use the stairs as I will become very winded, he said sorry he doesnt make the rules, but I still couldnt use it. This dampened the mood after hanging and drinking downstairs.
Ordered some wings while the kitchen was busy. My stomach started hurting immediately after. I threw up as soon I got home. Sick for 2 days
Mata (server) Best customer service! Alwayz professional. Needs to work more often.Jamaal
Stopped for a drink on our way to a Mavericks game after a friend recommended we visit. This is a large bar that gets busy, lots of young folks, good music and fun energy. They have about 30 beers on tap and a great outdoor area. Service was attentive and friendly, prices are fair.
Please hire more PRN staff or something when you’re expecting a big crowd. Service is so slow ): The food is still not great but the outdoors seating on the main floor and the rooftop are a go too for sure. The drinks aren’t bad too.
Dj needs to update the playlist. It definitely was not up to date. For the atmosphere it was giving. The music choice was not it. I get it a mix crowd but the music was still out of date
Great place for grabbing a drink before a basketball or hockey game. Plenty of seating and a really nice outdoor area.
Great spot to catch a game or just hand with friends; gaint screen, games, and fun vibes. If youre going to watch a playoff game, get there early.
Super spacious bar for large groups. A great place for watch parties or to catch a drink outdoors. They have an upstairs lounge which is nice, it gives greenhouse vibes. The food is pretty good as well, a bit over priced but tasty.
It’s a spot that is centrally located in the heart of downtown dallas. If you’re looking for just that then this is the spot. The food was horrible. The service was okay. The place is not clean either.Overall 1 star.
Good place to watch soccer or for a big group. Lots of taps, multiple bars and a big outdoor space with picnic benches
This place is usually fantastic, however my friends and I were just there watching the NFL playoffs in the giant upstairs area and for some mind-boggling reason, they were gatekeeping the heaters. It was 32 degrees and I watched about 8 people ask the employees why they weren’t turning on the heaters and the predominant answer was “we’re turning them on at 10” (it was 7:30). We and about 5-10 other groups left because it was freezing and dark. Cartoonishly moronic management. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive though
They didn’t bother air conditioning the place in the middle of one of the hottest days. Wasn’t really clean either. The fried cauliflower was the worst thing I’ve ever put in my mouth. And why is the sauce literally pink? It looks and tastes unnatural. Overpriced and overrated. Maybe the night times are better but during the day it was nothing special or worth it especially on a hot day to park far and walk over and find no AC or cleanliness. Also kept getting looks from a whole bunch of customers as if we don’t belong there. I’ll leave it to you to guess why. We were dressed in a fashion they also wore and stayed quiet so it’s not like we attracted attention. The waitress was awesome though! Very sweet and attentive.
This is a very nice hangout spot. For all of the social butterflies this would be a great place to get together with friends for a bite to eat and drink. It has a beautiful rooftop patio too. However we had a large party the Saturday evening we went and didnt receive good customer service. Our waitress would leave and not come back, people in my party asked for items and she never got them. It was a busy night but she didnt apologize or anything.Drinks were about $10-15 so youre going to spend a little if you decide to visit. Outside of that the establishment was very nice, my only complaint was our waitress.
I go to dance on the roof top bar djs are pretty good on the weekends. I only get charged 4 dollars for redbull.😁
Great place to catch a game and socialize. If the food items were a bit better, it would be a 5 star experience.
Expectations vs reality: I ordered the ‘grilled’ Ahi Tuna sandwich for lunch.I was expecting a nice fillet of high grade tuna (pink-ish in the middle)on a bun with whatever they said goes on the sandwich. I got a ground tuna patty cooked through (all white inside): it tasted good but was just dry and a little disappointing.I dis enjoy their take on fries: very tasty.Valet parking only BTW.
Went for drinks on Friday night! Fun place to dance and bring friends with the DJ on the rooftop.
The app- chips and dip trio, were not great.Wings were good, moist, cooked throughout and over all good enough. Both flavors were good which is solid. The absolute all star of the night was the birthday cake. Let me tell ya, I doesn’t have to be your birthday to enjoy this this. I will come here just for this dessert because they nailed this one!
Great place to hang out for drinks and food. The meal and drink selection is quite big and the food is very tasty. Only negative is that its not cheap. 16$ for a beer really is exaggerated. Imposing a 20% service charge on a party of 4 when the service was slow is also not great. But the place is always packed with a young and trendy crowd! Get the megarita. Its way too expensive and there is no way in hell its 108 ounces of Margarita, but its fun!
My family and I visited Dallas to celebrate a number of birthdays over the weekend and unfortunately we visited this establishment and had a terrible experience. The “general manager” has no customer service and lacks basic management professionalism. She created and escalated a minor conversation regarding their restroom not having toilet paper and lied to the security about the entire interaction which resulted in us being removed for absolutely no reason aside from her own embarrassment and inability to control her emotions in a professional environment. I absolutely would not recommend visiting this place, and would love for upper management to contact me to further discuss the issue and receive more details regarding the matter.
Ended up downtown and this was such a pretty friendly chic cute spot! First time in Dallas and meeting up with family. We had the brisket tacos which I highly recommend (excluding the crema but my husband said it was great), the berries of the West drink was delicious, the pineapple drink and blackberries one as well. We also had the Chicken sandwich, a Cesar salad with chicken, the blackened chicken pasta and a side salad 🥗. All phenomenal. Our waiter, valet, and overall the entire staff was attentive, hustling, and great. Highly recommend! Food was too great to take pictures this time folks!
Great atmosphere! The rooftop & inside at the bar were an awesome time. Food was pub style, chicken fingers and the sauce (Chick-fil-a dupe) were unreal! Would recommend especially if you have a large group. Will definitely be back ☺️
My family and I visited Happiest Hour while in Dallas, Texas this past weekend. We were thrilled to come across this seemingly family friendly restaurant as we were traveling with two children. Our experience quickly went downhill after the general manager rudely escalated a situation (there being no toilet paper in the ladies restroom) and went on to have security have our party of 12 removed. Also adding that the lack of professionalism and us being abruptly forced to leave by security completely upsetting one of the children with us as she had no understanding of why we were being told to leave and afraid of someone going to jail.I do not recommend this establishment to anyone visiting or residing in Dallas.
We went for a Halloween Meetup.I did not try the food, but I had a few drinks. They were nothing special. The bar tenders were very talented, though. And the view from the top balcony was excellent. The layout made very little sense intuitively. I did absolutely love the black bathroom. Perfect for mirror selfies.Overall, I recommend this bar, but there are better with cheaper prices too.
Great place to have a bite before an event at American Airlines Center. Will definitely coming back.
Very fun place. I enjoyed my night out here. They’re strict on IDs, and they do check purses and bags. The drinks were great. Theres people coming and cleaning your tables and taking your empty glasses throughout the night. Nice music. Fast bartenders. Will definitely be coming back.
Had the worst experience here on Sunday, Oct. 1. My party of four came in after a Cowboys game. We put our name down for a table and the wait time was only 30 minutes. We were texted our table was ready but the hostess, after seating walk ups, could not figure out where to seat us. We waited 10 more minutes. Once seated, it took 20 minutes to see a server. We put it our orders for drinks and food. While we sit another 20 minutes watching people walk up and purchase drinks at the bar, we never saw our server. I tracked her down and she suggested we just put our drink order in at the bar. The female bartender took my order and moved down the bar. I watched her make drinks for others and in the mean time the man asked me what I wanted. Regretfully I told him I was being helped although apparently I was not. All this time, still no server at our table. I understand being short staffed but this was ridiculous. And for the bartender to lie about taking my order is inexcusable. After over an hour at this establishment, my group decided to cut our losses. So disappointing and embarrassing taking friends from out of town here. I do not recommend.
I came here with a few friends to have a late night drink, we arrived at 10 on the dot. Once we came in they said that the kitchen was closed which was fine because we mainly came for drinks but it was kind of a bummer because we at least wanted something to snack on. Plus it was odd they closed the kitchen 2 hours before closing, but its just something to keep in mind. For being near Clyde Warren Park, I was expecting difficult parking but they had a large self-parking lot (as well as valet) right across the street, so that was very convenient. There werent any servers so you had to open a tab up with the bartender and get the drinks from him and then take them to your table. Im not sure if thats a normal thing or if they are just low on servers. The drinks were ok, nothing bad about them. Its not a terrible place to come for drinks or food, I might come back now that I know what to expect next time.
Great place to hang out with friends and family. Staff was great and environment was amazing!
Great place to watch a game! Loved the food and service! Fun spot!
Great bar and restaurant. The outdoor space is more comfortable than indoors for me. You get to look around downtown and chill. It has valet parking. The food is good and so are the drinks.
This place is always great for a after work drink or post brunch cocktail!! Went here the other day with the hubby for a quick lunch and it was packed and poppin! Ordered some pretty delicious tacos and their desert was to die for 👌🏼 and of course if you’ve never been here before the roof top view is the best part!!
Great vibes. Nice place to go right before a game downtown. Love it
Worst table service I have ever seen. When we first got there, they didnt even know which table was supposed to be ours. There were people at our table already that werent with our group. Then after 15 minutes they could figure it out, it took them another 20 minutes to bring us any bottles to our table. After we complained about that, they offered to take our the minimum and we just pay for the bottles we buy. Okay, not great but whatever. They would take 15 to 20 minutes to check our table to see if we need anything, water or mixers or alcohol. It would always take forever to get anything, and after all of it when we wanted to leave, no one knew where our friends ID was. So we had to wait almost an hour to actually leave the place because they couldnt give back our ID or cards. And the audacity to include at 20% gratuity at the end, where they kept giving us different receipts with different amounts, they didnt even know how much they charged us. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! If I could give negative stars, I would
It amazes me how understaffed this place is all the time. Your Mexican candy shots are the best, but hard to wait for 😭😭
Ive visited this club a few times, but sadly, each visit was marred by unacceptable behavior from the staff. On multiple occasions, our friends were unjustly removed without cause or any wrongdoing on our part. Its disheartening to experience such discrimination and racism in a place that should foster inclusivity and respect for all patrons.
I recently had dinner at Happiest Hour with a group of nine and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The restaurant had a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere that was ideal for spending time with friends or enjoying a romantic dinner. The menu was varied and offered a range of options, from appetizers to entrees. One of the standout dishes for me was the green beans, which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and they were happy to make recommendations for our group. Additionally, the restaurant had the basketball game on every screen, making it the perfect spot for sports fans. Overall, I had a great experience at Happiest Hour and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
I visited the place on a Sunday night, despite knowing it might not be the best time. Unfortunately, the experience was even worse than expected. They dont have waitstaff available after 9:00 PM, so we had to go up to the counter each time to check if our food was ready because they didnt call us. The bartender was impolite, and even after waiting for 15 minutes to place our order, she didnt seem to care. Whats more, despite the lack of waiters, they still added a 20% gratuity charge. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience. Im giving it one star solely for the valet parking service.
Nice and cozy rooftop. The service was super accommodating. Order their Happy Burger and it was delicious. Super juicy, well seasoned.
Very nice atmosphere. Great Dallas vibe if you’re looking for it.
This place is racist as hell. They randomly pick a person(mostly non-white) and kick them out with no reason. Dallas resident who is exploring things to do in Dallas and these guys without any reason throw people out. I get the fact that you guys will always be populated with people, regardless of my review but treating your guest that spend their time here on a generic basis is very sad. I agree if people show indecency in a club but for no reason they have kicked a friend of mine twice the last 2 times I’ve come here. Management should look into the racism that is being thrown around with no conclusive evidence.
Easy to get to. Free valet parking! Plenty of seating options. Enjoyed watching USWNT vs Vietnam game. Mixed drink prices high. Food prices reasonable and food was really good. (Salmon burger & fries). Definitely worth visiting.
My bill for 3 people was $200. I brought my mom here for her birthday. The waiter couldn’t be bothered with us. He was more concerned about his white customers. He barely helped us at all. Told my mom they couldn’t sing happy birthday to her because they were backed up yet the table next to us got the birthday song & ice cream. Ruined my mom’s birthday & I recommended the place because I’ve been here before.
My server Aiva was so awesome ! She always has great service and remembers my order every time
Absolutely worst place. As a tourist my first time visiting I’ll never go back again as their employee screamed in our faces over my husband holding the door open for him entering. I would absolutely not spend your money here, this young man was violent and loud. If I could give zero stars I would.
Cool spot but music is so loud you cant hear yourself talk or have a convo with anyone. Maybe next time Ill sit outside.
Good place to hang out, but service is a little slow
