Atmosphere is a 10/10 the patrons are definitely the best part of this place as well as the outdoor area. Service is consistently not good, excluding the door check. Every single time I go to this bar they are consistently rude, so set expectations low. Definitely on the bottom compared to other gay bars I’ve been to. Pun intended.

My partner and I went here during Denver pride and felt completely frozen out. The staff and the patrons made me wish we had picked another spot, but I dropped money for the Fast Pass and had good experiences previously so we tried to make the most of it.Pride is about community, and this place used to feel like that when I went. This year, it was so cold I dont think Ill visit again.

Went to x bar for pride weekend on Saturday. Atmosphere was atrocious. Bar tenders/staff are extremely rude, this is not a rare occurrence here unfortunately as last time I went this was also the case, DJ was horrible and sometimes there was no music at all so no one was dancing and socializing just lots of standing around. On pride weekend I expected a lot more especially when you’re paying a 30 dollar cover. Not to mention we saw 2 girls experience the effects of being drugged, one of them was a friend and her state rapidly changed so it really could’ve been no other explanation. So between the consistent horrible and rude service, unsatisfactory music, and bad and unsafe atmosphere I’m afraid this will be my last time spending time and money in this establishment. It’s a shame because it has potential.

This bar is a lot of fun. The music is really good. The multi levels is fun, and the bartenders have been good. I like how there are multiple high levels to dance solo and just have fun. I like this bar a lot, but I’m taking down two stars because one night my friend left his bag here and we didn’t realize until like maybe 20 mins after they had closed. We went back and literally KNOCKED and SLAMMED and YELLED for no less than 7 minutes saying “we lost our bag! We need our stuff!” In the rain. People saw us and heard us but did not come up to ask. We yelled what we needed to not sound like crazy people that we were just trying to get our stuff to be able to go home. Then the manager or whoever came out and was like “stop! We don’t have it!” And when we showed her the apple AirTag showing that it was indeed there, THEN they gave us our bag. It was horrible. The fact that the management was trying to get away with thievery and if we didn’t have an airtag we would have been stranded on colfax for the night. Negligent in that sense. Just make sure you have everything before you go.

I really loved X bar, it has an amazing patio, the patio even has some relaxing couches. You can relax on with your friends.The inside is even prettier, especially the upstairs dance platform , the decorations were amazing and beautiful. It is a must hit bar if you are in Denver.

Fun spot for everyone who’s everything. Music is spot on and people are fun to dance and chat with. Events are a banger while attentive bartenders make your drinks in a timely fashion. Looooove the outside too for relaxing and rallying.

Awesome LGBTQ+ bar and mini club experience, has a relatively spacious outside and inside area for dancing, lights, drinks, good times.. when we came, they had a SHOW around midnight where some drag queens came and danced in front of the crowd. 10/10 would come back, for the vibes, the culture, the shows.. its great 👍

The DJ on the main stage is consistently good. They get you on the dance floor. $10 for a shot of Fireball is a bit much. Please dont turn I to Charlies were a girl pays extra and waits 4ever!

Amazing atmosphere. Other patrons are the best. Service has been great. I love the split level and the change of atmosphere from upstairs, downstairs and the patio.

Not my cup of tea but a really fun place. They host events and the gay scene is vivid there. Parking not the greatest expect walking or using a scooter.

Had a great time on Friday night but Saturday night they played more electronic music vs hip hop/top 40. Still had a great time and was way better than being at Charlie’s.

I dont think the owner of this bar knows that it is ILLEGAL in the state of Colorado to deny free water from the soda gun or tap. You can not charge for bottle of water when a patron has been buying drinks all day. In the state of Colorado you must provide free tap water. It was very obvious I was in need of water after drinking. One bar tender knew the law and gave me a cup of water later I went up for another glass after finishing another vodka redbull and a different bar tender refused, saying they are only allowed to sell bottled water. I dont blame the employee for doing what he was told but the owner can get in trouble for this so I hope he learns something about the law when he looks at this review.

$30 cover for the biggest night on pride weekend and the DJ cant seem to play anything from within the last 5yrs. Unless its 5 dnb songs (undancable to) which lead into the damn macarena. Embarrassing, truly.Oh, and theyre the only DJ for some reason.

The staff here are kind and do the best they can considering the crowds that come here. Friday night was absolutely packed! There is a $5 entry fee. I was disappointed by the coat check. There was no line, people coming and going were waiting. I gave up and just kept my jacket with me. Getting up to the bar was easy. Getting helped was a wait. More people against a small number of staff. They were kind but clearly overwhelmed. The covered outside patio was a great place to get away from the shoulder to shoulder crowd and breathe. The bathrooms are open for all genders but messy at best. Toilets wobbling was concerning and wet floors not only a hazard but also disturbing. TP running out in stalls, saw a person running one stall to another to offer some tissue. Overall it was fun but theres room for improvement. I stayed long enough to watch the show and have one drink.

The bar back spilled a handful of drinks all over the dance floor, and when I attempted to help the situation and pick up just the handful of straws at my feet - so there wasn’t a rolling/slipping hazard on the floor -(besides the puddle and ice everywhere) I was sharply reprimanded and told “no don’t do that” 4-5 times. Whether or not picking up a spill was wrong or right (it’s right and legally required by the way), it was the reaction that was uncalled for. No “thank you” or “honey don’t worry about it,” I was yelled at and belittled. Will never return.

They cater to a young crowd. Stood at the bar, ignored, and multiple younger people were helped before me. Switched to the other bar tender who pretended to be busy until younger people cut in front. Thankfully another bar tender noticed and apologized. W

Device is good sometimes this place get far to packed to dance or watch a drag show inside but the patio is fantastic

The first water is free? Jorge, it’s illegal to not serve free tap water. The bartender said “it’s because so many people come on drugs and won’t drink so we charge for water” and that is so problematic on a few levels. Charge a cover that’s appropriate.

Bartenders are pretty rude. If they dont know you, they wont be nice to you or barely acknowledge you. Go somewhere else with actual nice people.

We were visiting from Minnesota and stopped into X Bar for happy hour. They have a really good two for one happy hour till 8 PM and then you have until 8:30 PM to use your poker chip that they give you for your second drink. They have a new Vendor that took over the restaurant. This vendor also has a food truck are called Que Desmadre. They have a variety of things on the menu from Mexican to hamburgers to chicken strips. My husband had three different tacos. He had the beef tacos, the pork taco and the shrimp taco. He said the beef taco was good, but the shrimp and pork tacos were the best he’s ever had! He said the seasoning was spot on and , the shrimp was properly cooked. I was not able to do a Google review for the restaurant yet because they just started here last Monday and haven’t got all of that figured out with Google yet so instead I decided to do a review on the bar. Bartender Wade was awesome too!!!

Was horrible. Customer service was horrible. They were really rude. The bathrooms were really dirty. Smell like piss a it was all over toilet all over the floors. They were just really rude would not recommend.

Beyond disappointed with the racism supported by this establishment. If you are a person of color, I would recommend any other place for your own personal safety.

A wonderful gay bar/club. I love the patio. Its great to hang and dance outside. Lots of seats. Wonderful late night food. Much smaller inside so a little harder to dance, but still good vibes.

I recently visited X bar and had an absolute blast! The atmosphere was welcoming and inclusive, with great house music. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced too, the bar tenders are all super cute and have tonz of rizz! Its definitely a must-visit spot for a fun night out with friends, gay straight or anywhere in between! I love it there!!

I set my ray ban sunglasses down for literally 20 seconds and someone stole them. Good luck to me driving during golden hour without them.

I have had many great experiences here! One of the best/only LGBTQIA+ bar I usually go to since it is WAY better to me than the rest. The atmosphere, the staff, no cover, and the drinks are always great here!

Love this places overall.. but 1st time here on a Tuesday and happened to be karaoke.There is a 1/2 half off all tequila & $3.50 BudweiserUnfortunately the bartenders wont tell you that and that is unfortunate and sadOtherwise this place is super fun.

This bar is super cute and love the seating outside. The bartender with the long beard is great. One complaint I have is the speaker right above the bar outside. It was extremely hard to order or hear the bartender. Advise for the owner from someone who’s worked the industry for 14 years, move the speaker to the other side of the door or adjust the amplifier for that speaker to play lower.

I went to this bar for my bachelorette party. I am a member of the queer community. I went here to be safe and accepted and I was publicly humiliated by two drag queens. I can tell you I have never felt so shamed for literally no reason and on my special night before my wedding it was horrific. BRIDES beware do not go to this club if you want to feel safe and accepted. Check yourselves x bar.

Not fun. I guess Im just old (40) but when nobody is at the bar (or in the club) youre just giving people a place to remain clicked. Cool location, too loud, not welcoming to old school folk who are looking for a good experience. If you are looking for an overpriced drink and a night of ear molestation. Have fun. Cool location.

Such friendly staff! Sabores the Mexican food sold there is so authentic and original. #delicious this place is is so roomy and I’m able to bring friends and family to have a good time and watch amazing drag performers.

The racism is rampant in this establishment. I would recommend finding anywhere else unless you are a white, cisgendered male.

I went to x bar on a Thursday as I was visiting Denver and unfortunately it was slow so I had my one drink and left back to Charlie’s but I went back Friday and it was busy and a lot of fun! I did not originally know glow lounge was just upstairs and overall the bars were so l much fun! I absolutely recommend coming to these bars while in Denver!

If I could give a zero star I would. My friends and I came by during PRIDE 2023 on 6/25/23 at 12:31pm and had a very unfortunate experience. As we were walking in the lady at the front that was taking payments to get into the club used a very disrespectful and demeaning tone. As we walked up we simply asked, how much is it for cover before we even finished our question she interrupted and loudly said ITS $25 IF YOUR BROKE GET OUT. The moment this happened we immediately left as it was extremely disrespectful. This same lady continued to speak to multiple others like this. Although my fiance and I had decided to leave the facility our friend had gotten in prior to us. Once she was in and PAID THE $25 cover fee to get into the club they AGAIN CHARGED HER ANOTHER $25 with no explanation just said that she needed to pay that to continue to get in even though she already paid the cover at the front AND RECIEVED A STAMP as proof of that purchase. Very disrespectful and shady business. PRIDE is about being respectful, loving, kindness, equality and acceptance and to go into a bar and be treated like that blew my socks off 10/10 DO NOT RECOOMEND

I freaking love this place!! People are generally nice and there for a good time. The staff is nice and patient mostly but the vibe is great to welcome all types of humans. I love that you can go outside when its too hot inside and meet cool people.

This is a gay bar masqueraded as a straight bar. The manager is horrible. Bad drag. Do not visit. This bar needs to go away. Gays be wate! They don’t care about the gay culture, this bar is over priced and not gay friendly.

As a couple of the reviews below state, I too had a really negative experience with the bouncer at the front door. She came off very aggressive to our entire group (who were all sober) for seemingly no reason at all. Some good training on how to treat people with respect would go a long way in making this bar a more welcoming and safe space.

Such a fun place. I love it here. No matter your sexual preference or what you identify as, everyone is welcome. The environment is safe and friendly. I never have to worry about being groped or touched here. I can drink and dance without being judged or harassed.

Great music, fun time - dont order a drink at last call. Not at all upset about enforcing liquor laws etc..uncool how the bartender said, finish it or give me it when you order one of your first drinks at 1:55pm after a long night of work, and have it taken away at 2:05. Im totally supportive of this bar/workers, just unfortunate that they would sell you a cocktail and take it away in a 10 minute period. No sir I am not chugging my G&T and getting sick - other than that amazing night, will be back just not ordering a bevie that close to 2am.

The atmosphere is great and the serving staff are usually nice if you’re attractive enough, but like was noted below, one of the bouncers is just not nice at all. Like, there is a difference between taking your job seriously versus being rude. To narrow it down, it was the taller white girl. I’ll go back here because the interaction with her is short, but the issue clearly hasn’t been taken care of.

Really fun bar with great food until the bartender double charged my tab for a sneaky tip steer clear if you don’t like to have to go through credit card fraud proceeding.

Great staff and clean facilities! Affordable drinks, great music selection, and friendly atmosphere. Large outdoor patio to help with social distancing. Proof of vaccine require and usually a cover charge after 8pm on weekends.

We arrived at 2:50pm for Sunday Brunch as the menu says food is served until 3pm. We were charged a $7 cover at the door (which stops at 3pm). The host asked if we were eating and we told her yes and she said we could sit anywhere. After waiting 7 minutes a server came over at 2:58 and told us the brunch menu ended at 2:30pm instead of 3pm. Then we were told we can order the lunch menu outside. We came outside and there is no one to take our food order. We are visiting and definitely won’t be back. A gentleman did return our $7 but we left 45 minutes later still hungry.

Drinks are made strongly. Not very expensive either. $6 for a tequila soda. I like the atmosphere here and the bar is half outside so if you are looking to chill and talk or dance inside, its perfect. Staff was friendly and the bouncers were very cool.

Ive not actually eaten here, but have heard the good is fine...nothing special. This is a good place for pretty cheap, but yet big and strong drinks. I love that their happy hour goes until 8PM!!!! Longest in the area for sure. Its kinda your average bar and is fun. My friends like to dance there once in a while as well. They recently redid the patio and its much bigger and nicer now which is good!

I had an extended layover and wanted a place to pop into. Saw X Bar on Google, made a reservation but let them knew I’d have luggage. I know it was a Monday night, but they were very accommodating nonetheless. The gentleman at the door and my server, Michael, I believe, were all very friendly. If you live here, I’m sure you already know but if visiting, I would go. I will definitely be back.

My partner and I stopped by while visiting last summer and it was a really fun vibe. We went in the late afternoon / early evening and had a drink in the outdoor area. Great vibe, clean, and fun place to be! Bartenders were very friendly and fun to talk to. Well definitely be back if in Denver again.

What kind of bar charges for water? They make you pay to get in, but don’t offer free water. Do better.

I’m the overall an ok spot that left a decent first impression for a first time visitor from NYC. Why only 3 Stars? I visited on Friday May 13th 2022 and the DJ lacked consistency. I got the impression she was throwing anything up on the figurative wall to see what would stick. Floor fills with people dancing then just as quickly empties with next song.

I loveeeeee X Bar. We always have the best time when we go here. I feel like the tickets are really affordable too, like seeing SYMONE for only like $20 is absolutely insane. The space is on the smaller side, so the performances feel more intimate. Dancing is super fun here as well! I would also recommend the RuPaul Drag Race viewing parties for a fun time.

Great, attentive bartenders & good space

I love this bar and being a local I consider it a second home. The energy there is usually great and upbeat. Lindsey, Micheal, Kelly and Weston are super awesome. They have a bar back Mitchell that is super douchey though. He told me you cant slap butts there. All our friends slap each others butts. Its a gay bar and we like to have a lot of fun there. He seems a little too uptight to be working there. Besides him the place is super awesome and definitely a place to check out!

X bar is a great place to go on the weekends! The patio is nice and big with heaters and an enclosed area during the winter months and plenty of seating. During the summer, they had a bar out on the patio which was super nice and convenient as well! They recently added an upstairs area with another bar, lounge, and different DJ booth for a little variety. They have events like Drag Queen Bingo & a great stage to dance on during the weekends.I have found it a bit difficult to get service in the past at the bar, but recently I have had no problems, especially with the upstairs bar open as well.Recommended!

XBar used to be a great spot to go to (pre-COVID). Great environment, drinks, staff, no cover, and always a crowd. It seems after the lockdown they are just focused on money. I have no idea why they charge a cover. When you walk in, there is no one there and the bartenders are so inattentive. I get it if there was a crowd and a good drag show. If I’m going to pay $5, I’ll just go to Charlie’s across the street. At least there’s a guaranteed crowd there. Hopefully, it can get back to what it was.

I loved this place !! I went to Denver with my partner and we were looking for queer bars that wouldnt be gay-cis-white-dude dominated and this definitely delivered. We just happened to be there on Lip Sync Thursdays which was amazing! They had a cart of clothes and wigs for performers to use and it wasnt a huge crowd but everyone who performed was so impassioned and fun and everyone else in the bar just seemed to be really enjoying themselves. On this night (and maybe all Thursdays, but Im not sure?) they had lip flips where you could choose heads or tails and if the bartender flipped the side youd chosen you got your drink for free ! Paid for our first set of drinks and then I got a free g&t AND someone just walked around at a certain point with free shots! We felt very what the hell is this place? There is also a huge front patio with lots of couches and chairs and inside there is a photo booth. It doesnt look like most of the photos Ive seen on here, which maybe are from a way it used to look. Its a darker and dancier atmosphere.We went again the two following nights. No free drinks and many more people. Felt less magical but still like an objectively good queer bar.

X Bar is constantly up to something on Colfax. This place tries so hard to always have something fun and crazy going on. Love how large the patio is, lots of seating for us smokers!! Bathrooms are usually clean af. Love the staff too!

This was a first going into a bar of this popularity, a couple of friends convinced me to go saying drinks and dancing were good, Being in my late 20s (almost 30) I visited tracks a few weeks before and was surrounded by underage kids but here it felt nice to get out of that underage feel and be able to drink with grownups. The music was great and the Rum and coke was made wonderfully, The bartenders were very nice (even complimented my nightly outfit) and everyone in there was full of joy and happiness, out of all the bars this one had the best positive feel.

Went on a Sunday, saw the drag performer Banana Splits and they were great, drinks were pricey but expected

All kinds here. When I arrived for happy hour there was a group celebrating a birthday - even though I sadly didn’t get any cake, the venue does a good job of incorporating everyone into a single room, even when there’s a huge private party. On Fridays they apparently have an upstairs patio.

Last night had my first experience at a gay bar, and it was such a blast! Being tired of getting continuously hit on by jerks at other bars/clubs, my friend &I wanted to try something different. Everything from the Djs to the male gogo dancers, to the bartenders was great! Will definitely come back again soon!!

First, I would like say the staff at X Bar are awesome! However, I have had so many negative experiences there which have now cost me $900. First, my salesperson’s bag was stolen with my car keys in the bag. New key and fob $400. Then last night my car was keyed in the parking lot. That is going to be a $500 deductible. I would love to continue to support this bar but at this point I just can’t return. It’s not safe.

I used to spend quite a bit of time here, until I started work with Denvers LGBTQ population as a therapist, at which point I decided I should distance myself a bit from the scene. Overall, super fun, busy, friendly environment. One of Denvers few!

The vibes here are beautiful 😍 Shots a lil spensive 🙄 But being able to tuck away in your own area is nice if you brought a group. But also seems like a great place to sit and read a book with a drink and people watch

Extremely bad communication. I tried to reserve a table for New Years eve and both the bartenders had no idea about the floor plan, cost, and making reservations. I left my contact information with the bartender for the manager to contact me which I did not receive until two weeks later after visiting the bar to make reservation. Afterwards, I continually contacted the bar during business hours and there is no employee that is available. I ended up finding a different location to reserve a party which at that location I receive all the information and details in a matter of minutes and I reserved a table with no stress. This bar falls as one of my least favorite bars in Denver for bad customer service.

I wanted to like this place, but there just wasnt much going on. The music selection was great, but nobody was dancing. It seemed like everybody just wanted to sit quietly at their table and talk, and I was expecting more than that.

My favorite bar! Mind you i am completely straight!! But my best friends i met here and the music is live and the drinks are amazing! Happy hour buy one get one from 3 to 8pm weekdays and then $5 bucket specials on sundays! If you are visiting denver this is a must go straight or gay just make an appearance and you wont regret it! Went here by myself trying to not be introvert and to attempt to make some cool creative unique friends and try something different, wish there was more parking closer to it cause the homeless people are scary and wish there was a pool table and more interactive things to do if you are by yourself and more seating and tables inside and maybe more people who would have came up to me and invited me to hang out with them since i socially strugglei dont really like most bar type people so i loved being around the type of people at this one and wish there were more bars like it

I love XBar, it’s comfortable and welcoming, the drinks are great too, price and all. I spent this past New Years Eve there and it was AWESOME! By far one of the best New Years Eve events I’ve been to ever. I highly recommend XBar, you won’t regret it. ♥️

X-Bar is a fun place to go out and relax on the patio or dance inside. This LGBT bar is hopping on Friday nights and brings in a sexy crowd. Not purely a club but a good mix of a bar/club for those who dance and dont. Parking is limited to 6 spots so walk, Lyft or Uber over.

I would honestly give them more but EVERYTIME and Im not joking EVERYTIME I go to the bar and I see the bartender named Kelly she seems nice however she always, ALWAYS! Ignores me and idk if maybe I look unapproachable or like Im not a big tipper or whatwhat.. and I didnt notice it until the other night she watched us walk to the bar clearly with money in one hand and NO drink in the other and she glossed over us like we left a bad taste in her mouth or somthing. Idk but the fact that its happened more than once really irritates the hell outta me.

Doesnt know how to pay for their bills, so they just avoid paying contractors. HVAC BILL FROM SUMMER 2021 $2.5K LEFT UNPAID! Do not give this business any more of your money because they have had enough.

Ive been here a few times and have never had a problem here. Drinks can be expensive on time nights, but on Sundays the bucket drink is a great value. Ive always had a great night here when going out.

Absolutely loved this bar. I felt perfectly safe and loved the drag show. There was a situation with my card and they fixed it as soon as they could. Will be returning ASAP!!

My visit in Denver was amazing. So good Ive decided to plan permanent residency there. Xbar was the only club I decided to visit both friday and saturday night. I had a blast and will visit again. The bartenders were astounding and very curtious. Love um. Great place😄💯

That club throught the was club is not on Friday the worker was out here trash broke my arm broke my leg over ask for drink n there thought I was drinker I was not and thought and thought I am was drink not acceptable its not acceptable I will not be goin back dont were worried about n they rat n bugs.

Good music, cheap drinks (on a Saturday night), dancers, lights, big dance floor. Great selection of music. Diverse crowd. Theres a little something here for everyone.

This place would get 5 stars if not for the dj. I asked him, on a saturday, to play the cuban shuffle or electric slide, or something dance-programmed, and he looked at me like I spit in his mouth.

Fun nights great ppl all day and night into dawn of next day. Shows resemble the hit show Glow watched on Sunday night on FXX cable or device app.
