The Cove - Seafood & Banquets

Great concert venue during winter/spring. Unfortunately, nothing but C grade garage bands during summer months. Avoid the Cove for summer music. Management is too cheap to hire good bands to draw weekend crowds! Even a decent Tribute band would be worth a try Brian!

Went a twice. Food is pretty good but a bit pricey. The atmosphere is incredible and spacious. The place is very clean and the workers are very friendly. There really isnt any seafood to order but appetizers that have seafood in it. All in all the foods good but I think the price is a but high for it.

This is a great place to listen to music. I love how theres an upstairs downstairs outside seating. This is the place to go and the food is excellent. I definitely recommend going here for food and live music.

Had a reunion there . It was put together good. Food was good, chicken wings should have been crispy, not soft gooey skin. The salad dressing and bleu cheese were too thin. Very runny. For what we pay, they try to cheap out in all areas that can be done to.The food was very good but cheaping out on the small stuff made the dining experience very unnecessary.

I liked the venue, large and roomy. The tables being so close to the stage area, makes dinner conversation impossible. So you eat awkwardlyand if you dont dance, you cant talk but can only watch the band and people dancing. You should change the seating set up. Move the larger tables back, open up the pathways to the dance floor and put the cocktail tables closer to the dance floor. Older folk and larger groups can sit where it might be easier to talk. Closer to the restrooms too. And couples, small parties can sit closer to the dance floor. No one wants to scream talk while trying to eat or even talk about the band. Screaming over the band does not enhance relationships or dinner. Other than that, the music was good, the food was good and the service was great.

I had my step daughters baby shower at The Cove Seafood and Banquets yesterday. They did an amazing job, the staff went out of their way to make our day stress free and very enjoyable. The food was phenomenal-highly recommend the breakfast buffet-it was delicious! I would definitely use The Cove again if I have another occasion to throw a large party. Thank you for making this a special day for the mom and dad to be.

We had a class of ‘72 birthday party at The Cove. It’s a very nice place with plenty of room Food was very good with a nice variety and service was excellent

Been many years since Ive been there .1st to know is the quality of the food is always the same because the owner works the kitchen. This place has an atmosphere that you must experience . This has the same feel as 716 downtown. Its a great place to watch a band without going deaf .

CODA is a phenomenally talented Led Zepplin tribute band. Sound was fantastic. Nice venue. Clean & well staffed.

Had my daughter’s baby shower here last week. The room was nicely appointed & very cool (with a fountain in the middle!!!) and the breakfast buffet was delicious! Everyone I dealt with… the banquet manager, the server and the bartender we got to know afterward… was accommodating, friendly & super helpful! Highly recommend!

Saturday afternoon lunch on the patio, listening to the band has the atmosphere of being on vacation. The food was amazing as well. I look forward to returning !

I attended a bridal shower here and let me tell you my expectations were met and more! the food was incredible. The only downside was the small fountain in the room we had, it was pretty loud.Highly recommend looking here if you need to host a shower/party!

Went to see Nerds gone wild. Cove is awesome!! Very large with many bars and lots of seating, TVs, games. Great place!

Attended a retirement party. Food was very good and the staff was great!

Our favorite place for a night out. We make reservations for dinner before the music starts.(Bridgette always accommodates our request) Then we enjoy some beer to keep us hydrated as we dance the night away! Usually we order hot pretzels to munch on while the band has a break and then were ready to start dancing again. Best service from friendly servers...we love them all! Went at 6:45 pm on a Saturday night. We decided to sit inside away from the band because we were just there for dinner. We were sat at a table but nobody ever came over. We left after being ignored for 15 minutes with zero interaction from a server. The table next to us was getting food so a server saw us but never said a word to us.Unacceptable.

I havent been back to Buffalo in a while, so I was surprised when my family wanted to go to a place I had never heard of, The Cove, for dinner and dancing. It was a great call.The Cove is a large restaurant featuring a number of activities, such as pool, darts, and of course live music with a huge dance floor.My wife and I each ordered wraps for dinner and we each ate about half of our meals. The portions were very generous and tasted very good. A live band (Welcome Distraction) started playing around 7:30 and we all stayed until they stopped at about 11.I am generally not one for a night of dancing, but the music was great, drinks kept flowing, and we all had a great time. One thing I appreciated about The Cove is due to its size there is plenty of space to dance or sit quietly and eat depending on what youre looking for.One recommendation is if you are going for the band call ahead and reserve a table by the dance floor. The good tables fill up quick.Honestly, I felt like I was attending a really good wedding without akward wedding toast. I will probably be back the next time I pass through Buffalo.

Food was great, and the band Busted Stuffis always great. Service took a little while tho. We sat on the patio in front of the band and sat there for almost 20 mins before our waitress asked if we knew what we wanted to drink but no one ever gave us a drink menu so she had to list off what they had. We were pretty sure they forgot about us. But after that, our food and service was great.

We went to The Cove to see the Dueling Pianos show. We were seated on the second floor. Our waiter was good and friendly. However, he was the ONLY waiter for 8 large tables (half of them having about 10 people). The bar upstairs was not staffed. The poor waiter had to service all of the guests upstairs ALONE and had to literally run downstairs for anything he needed to serve us. It took us a half hour just to get drinks and hours to get our food (which were only appetizers). We communicated with the people at the tables around us and we all were wondering how they could have only staffed ONE waiter for approximately 50-60 people for a night when they were hosting a very popular event. This poor guy was left out to dry. He did his absolute best but our situation was a result of poor management. All of us were there wanting to spend money and buy drinks but we simply couldn’t. If they had staffed appropriately, The Cove could have made FAR more money than whatever amount they saved by skimping on having minimal staff. This seems to be a common complaint of this establishment from all the reviews I have read so I’m not sure why they haven’t done something about it. You would think during a pandemic when restaurants are having to close their doors, The Cove would be taking advantage of what they have (a great space and location with customers WANTING to spend money) by managing it appropriately and appropriately staffing for an evening. I can’t say I will be back for an event any time soon.

My wife and I were craving crab legs for several weeks when we finally found this place. We went on a Saturday night and were seated immediately at around 7pm. Our server was very very nice and attentive. Im sorry to say that I completely forgot her name but she was great.The decor was a very relaxing island jungle feel. We were seated in an area next to the bar and dance floor which was perfectly located. We were able to hear the band but could still have a conversation. The band was pretty decent for a disco band 😀Now for the food review. It was absolutely amazing! I ordered the South Pacific stream pot and it was friggin huge! The seafood was tasty, fresh, and cooked perfectly.I just cant wait for our next date night. We will be back for sure!!!

Stopped in for a fish fry tonight. Server was good but we were so far out it took time to get drinks. On that not beer a little pricey but a mojito was $9?? REALLY? $18 FOR 2. LORD. Quality of food was very good. Probably the best fish fry Ive ever had. I will definitely come back for that but I will hold the drinks! Kudos to the kitchen staff and server and bar staff.

The 7th Sign concert was AWESOME ! Bring 7th Sign back weekly , they ROCKED The Cove. They are Talented Musicians. The food was delicious and made fresh.l will be recommending The Cove to everyone.

The food here is AMAZING!! They have great bands on the weekend (many who start early). There is usually a cover of $5 but it pays for the Bands so its not bad. Getting a drink can Sometimes be a challenge but lately its been Great.

We had 50 people for my sons birthday. The service was great. Plenty of good food, pizza wings, meatballs and cheese plate. The band was great, first time there and was impressed. Will go there again. Ps the bar tenders were freindly as were the whole staff.

Went there to watch a live band. Amazing is an understatement! Room to move, I could always get a drink because of the huge bar. Cant wait to go back to watch another. And the show quality was fantastic as well!

Went here for the first time anxious for some good seafood and always impressed with this places looks driving by. The disappointment was they were on a limited menu-so their great large one on the website was severely sliced down. So went for the chicken quesadillas as an appetizer and we got a Long Island and margarita as our drinks. The appetizer came with 4 very large and full slices- could have been a meal in itself for many and they were delicious. Then we went for the Shrimp Trio which was scampi-coconut and breaded shrimp with more than ample for sharing and each one was done and tasted perfectly. We had Brooke as our waitress and she was a funny and chatty personable and actually showed true concern how our meal came out. Her service was great and attentive and we appreciated her. The inside is really nice as we were sat in one of the rooms. There was a band and the patio had a good amount of people in it-but it was still early before 8 and have seen that patio packed after 9 before. It seems that staffing issues due to Covid have hurt them as so many others as well and that was the reason for the downsized menu. Hoping they get back to their full one soon because we plan on going back! It was a nice fun experience and everyone there was enjoying themselves in their happy place. It kind of brought me back to spring break in Ft. Lauderdale days with the looks and feel and good times all around. A nice night out.

Had an evening out to the newly remodeled Cove and I really liked the changes to the front bar area. Also a new improved menu, faster service from our server and the kitchen. Hope this all stays the same in the future. Very impressive.

Great atmosphere! Band was good and so was the food. The bartender was rude. He wasnt very attentive, so it was nice the other woman was paying attention or we would have never gotten any drinks.

Went to a retirement party upstairs at the Cove and it was a great venue. Private cash bar, tasty food, and the music from the downstairs band wasnt overpowering so we could talk easily. Staff were friendly and everyone had a great time.

Our party enjoyed the evening on the lower balcony. The energy on the balcony was electric and the waitress was personable and efficient in delivering our orders. The live music started around 7pmish and it was the cherry on top of a lovely eveing.

We had a reservation for a large table , in the upstairs portion of the place last Saturday. The service was beyond bad. It took an hour to get a drink, each time. Ordered food, 7 of us, and two hours later still did not have any of the food yet. We finally left, knowing we were never going to see the dinners we ordered. The management should be ashamed of themselves, having inadequate and obviously inexperienced staff up on the second floor.

Our server did a great job managing all the food and drink orders. While the appetizers and entries were all very good. The live music also made for an entertaining evening.

What a awesome place. Service was top notch! Outside bar was cool! Inside was spacious and the decor was beautiful! I would definitely go back! Not sure how much everything was because it was a treat on my sister and brother in law.

Bartenders outside are terrible. I had to watch the only one record a whole song before he looked to see if anyone needed a drink. It would be different if he was busy. He wasnt

I really liked this restaurant, my fiance and I went on Wednesday when they have crab day and I will be going back to eat again. The Crab was very good And so was salad and Bread. The meal was a little pricey but Its worth it. Service was excellent and friendly. Two thumbs up.

Was here for a friends birthday. Not sure I would go back. It just isn’t the type of place I like to hang out at. I get more of a country bar feeling in here and I prefer my drinks in glasses and not plastic cups but completely understand why they don’t want to serve in glasses. Nothing wrong with the place just not my cup of tea.

Music was fine, drinks were bad. Worse Margarita ever and wifes wine was unfinishable..

Went there on 6/9/17 around 5:30. The wife and I wanted to go to a place that had a patio since it was nice outside. The place wasnt busy. The bartender on the first floor patio had finished making a martini for another customer as I walked up. I stood there for minutes as the bartender boasted to the customer (who already had his martini) about how well he makes martinis and that other bartenders in this day and age dont make martinis correctly. Well blah, blah, blah, I was okay with that. Being personable is something I like in bartender. I ordered two draft beers and created a tab. The next time I went up for another two drafts, the bartender totally snubbed me. He waited other patrons that came up to the bar after me. He eyeballed me, acknowledging he saw me, and still went to the people that came after me. He knew I was drinking draft beer and had a tab, how easy could it be to quickly pour me my draft beer and send me on my way. But no, he went to the other people first, got their order done, then proceeded to pick up plates left on the bar before looking at me. I felt totally discriminated against. This bartender is totally oblivious to his surrounding or he picks and chooses who he prefers to wait on.

Good food great prices and even offered my service dog a bowl of water.

Food is good but even when we went there pre pandemic the service is not the greatest. This time we did take into account that most places are short handed but more than likely would not go back except to listen to music. They have a nice music venue

HUGE facility! And a good one! Downstairs front has a bar and dining room. To the rear is a concert venue. Upstairs another bar and a few banquette rooms. Excellent place for live music. Rock on!

The Cove has been around for many years. Many top local bands play here the acoustics arent the best. The food is good. There is an upstairs bar that can be rented for private parties which overlooks the lower level. Always a cover charge when bands are playing.

Four of us us for dinner. Bad food and bad service. We wont go back. Waitress refused to give separate checks, walked away in disgust when we objected, then delayed taking our order for about 25 minutes and finally sent a different waitress. Another 20 to 25 minute delay until food was brought. French fries and grilled chicken sandwiches were cold, at room temp. I contacted the management about our unpleasant experience and have heard nothing back.

Just takes too long. I had to send my steak back because it was so overcooked. Crab legs cold. Once they cool its really hard to get the meat out intact. Just shredded. Even though I waited forever for and got completely inedible steak they still charged me the 7.99 for the crab shreds. Maybe if the server came and checked on us before we were all done with our food i would of gotten a replacement steak. But...that didnt happen.

We had a fun night with the band but when we called to make a reservation we were told cover was $5 and when we got there it was $10. Service took a long time but once the waitress started waiting on us service was good.

Not sure where to start. I felt like my family and I were on an episode of Bar Rescue. We started off with a party of 12 people, some kids and adults. Of the 6 or 7 video games available for kids 3 did not work. Next, our waitress was having a bad day or just didnt care. As we looked over the menu with our cell phone apps (because it was too dark to see) we were met with moans and comments under the waitresses breath. The food was forgettable as was the overall experience. Lots of employees walking around with no apparent manager or leadership. My guess is the ownership is in over their head or just dont care, this tone seems to have trickled down to the staff. Every question was met with a reply of Ask the bartender Is this a kids place, family place, bar or band venue? I am still not sure, I give it 6 months. Stay away

New Year party nice. Another bar upstair in the back room would been better. Music was good. Food was ok. Drinks were short service. Bartender not experienced didnt work know how to work together.

Our unions Local rented the upstairs for Holiday dinner and drinks. Beautiful place, good food, friendly staff, and the live music downstairs was great. 6/5 stars

Dance floor great fun, entertainment top notch for all ages. Variety of food , surf, turf,chicken, barbecue, soups. Think twice regarding seafood. We were served an ultimate seafood meal. Clams and mussels had unopened 🐚 shells. Do not consume, and the crab cakes were over broiled and had excessive breading. Security is fine and drinks are plentiful. Enjoy a fun time dancing to the sounds of DeeAnn Tompkins- wow.

We had a group of 4 dining at the Cove last week. The food was very good as was the service. We asked for the dessert menu, and they had no desserts to offer. The musical group who was performing in the building that night was not the best.

Sunny was a fantastic host for my date, Tony and I. We loved what theyve done! My favorite part is the wedding room and I love the lights in the outdoor bar top. I am big on waterfalls too!

We to watch the amazing band, Hearts Dont Lie! Hubs and I decided to have some dinner. I was VERY skeptical about the seafood bcz I was told it was yucky. I LOVE SEAFOOD! I know good seafood! Our waitress Juliana was from Maine. SHE said it was good! SO OK!!! I ordered the broiled seafood platter. IT WAS AMAZING. The boiled potatoes were just warm but everything else made up for it. The crab legs broken apart and the meat just slid out! So FRESH!! Juliana was a great waitress!! Perfect attentiveness!! Food came out fast, and Delish!! WILL BE BACK! Get Guinness!! Even if in a can.

First the fish fry price was crazy for the little amount that you get. It was like it was still in the deep fryer, it had so much oil on it. The potato salad came in a little 5 1/2 ounce cup as well as the two other sides. The potato salad tasted like i had just bit into a raw onion. The mac salad tasted like in had been made days ago, and had zero flavor. Also they gave me a total of 20 fries, yes i counted them. The fish fry was more breaded then it was fish. This is supposed to be a seafood place and is by far the worst seafood i have ever had. What kind of cooks do they have that cant make potato salad and mac salad. Its sad and pathetic.

Great place to see a band, have some awesome food and some yummy cocktails too. The place is huge and very clean. The bartenders are awesome as well as the servers. My new favorite place!!

Went there for a Halloween party, super expensive just for the cover and couldnt even walk in without bumping into people. Couldnt get bartenders attention low staffed, bathrooms WAY too small for that big a venue, music sounded good though

Food was ok I wanted shrimp not battered & fried. No choice of that. I ended up getting fried shrimp, too harsh on my stomach. Watermelon mojito was good. Waited over 10 min for server to greet us

Stopped over here last week for a high school reunion and havent been here in close to 8 yrs. The bartenders here were alittle slow but Ive seen worst. The food here is alittle pricy for what it is. But overall not bad. I may go back, still havent decided.

Place is monstrous, service was a little slow, but that is to be expected. When you have 1 waitress whos taking care of 16 people. Must of whom changed their mind often. Food was good, but I personally ate to much appetizers.

Food was good, our waitress was very good when she came to our table. You definitely need more staff. At one point we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks, it wasnt even that busy. Need more waitresses.

Ummm...im pretty sure pre covid they had good seafood and business but now i feel like they are just serving 1 dollar pizza slices in order to bypasses the covid protocol for serving alcohol and remaining open and packing the place. I went there on Halloween and the place was packed. People packed at the bar no masks on and no seafood to be had...the reason i was there was for the food. Nope...just pizza slices and alcohol was available. Had to wait to be seated which is expected but it was a very long wait in a packed hallway with people who decided having on a costume meant you didnt have to wear a mask. Finally get seated in the and there is a band playing...almost no one has masks on while up walkn around and packed in for this band playing and not being waiter was until we flagged one down for a menu...just for them to come back and say....ummm...we only have pizza slices...no active menu. It just looked like a breeding ground for covid...and we wonder why WNY has a climbing covid rate.

Service was a bit slow but they were also remodeling and I dont know how many of the staff were new. Great food at a good price and great live music.

The Cove / Pages ... a great place to stop for a drink, dinner or some live music they have it all. Very will run with great food. Love there pizza.

Valentines, one server on, one! Running room to room. Ordered seafood platter, never got salad, she said shed pack it to go. Got the seafood platter, butter to go with crab and lobster a bowl of oil, not butter, asked for another bowl, same, tasted like margarine oil. Ended up not eating crab or lobster. So basically waited for drinks. No salad, inedible butter. Ruined Valentines, and Im not a fussy, crabby person. Never again.

Havent been here in awhile was really surprised on the service. People seemed like they were going above and beyond to make customers happy. Great to see will definitely be back

Cant beat this place! Its huge, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere inside and outside is unbeatable! The staff is simply amazing! So much to do and a great atmosphere to do it!

Restaurant is Vastly understaffed, food took 2 hours to be served and was overall (between my party of 9) incredibly disappointing. The live music saved them from a 1 star.

Had funeral breakfast here. Buffet, everything was good but chicken was dry, but usually is at an even like this. Had a make your own ice cream sundae which was fun. very accomodating

Website looked promising, but restaurant didnt live up to it. Specials shown on website are totally outdated with incorrect pricing. Crab legs were disappointing. Meat came out shredded/mushy instead of in whole pieces. Stuffed peppers were bland.

Good food. Service needs help. I have been there several times and same results. Their process for taking care of the tables sucks. Be prepared to sit there waiting.

That place was so awesome! We had a wedding rehearsal dinner there and the food was absolutely delicious!

Great place to eat and watch a concert. Only complaint is that it was cold in there when it was in the low 40s outside. I would guess it was about 55 inside.

Took 30min to get a drink after we were seated (only because another couple pointed us out to the waitress while she was serving them) then an hour and 25min to get our food...but the food was good

Big place, fun band. Didnt like a cover charge and $ 4 beers. One or the other. I can get bottled beer anywhere for 2.50

Horrible lightning, had to use my phone to read the menu. Bit pricey, barely any lobster & shrimp in the bruschetta. Wings were good.

Excellent food absolutely huge Place banquet rooms outside bar inside bar theres even a place for entertainment for kids with skee ball and things like that video games theres a stage inside they have live music they have live music outside in the summer when its warm their wings are excellent

Drove an hour to this place because the web site said they opened at 1130am. Got to the place at 2pm and they were closed with no one answering the phone. Should have listened to the reviews I read!! How un-proffesional of this place but from the reviews, no shocker!

I threw a small party there. They were so accommodating. Everyone had a great time, I was very pleased. It was so easy.

Went for the crab legs. They were overcooked. The shells werent crisp and bent when you tried to crack them. They also tasted burnt. Wont be back for those again.

Cant go if ur not vacated. They wont serve you... crazy because the ones that are vacated are able to catch covid19.

Not what I expected from an establishment specializing in seafood. Ordered cod/fries dinner and wife ordered scsllops/fries dinner. Food was hard and burnt. Seemed like it came out of a frozen box. Wont be back.
