Massage Envy

Very strange massage by Rose. Im used to lighter massages but at no point did she put any real pressure even when asked. She used her fingers for most of it and her nails were sharp. She stopped the massage twice to complain about the employer. Once about the sheets they were provided and again to talk about the iPad not working correctly. Im also very sensitive to smell and when she was talking closely to my face all I could smell was cigarette smoke. Will definitely not be returning.

While Ive only explored the services online (to make sure I can get what will benefit me), I found that Im eager to try their services!

Rosemarie is an amazing massage therapist. While not my typical pressure level of deep, she absolutely knows where to hit the spots that hurt (in a good way!) She is incredibly respectful, nice and quiet but makes sure to check in with you, and is able to really tackle a full body massage without feeling like she spent too much time in one area or not enough in another. She’s like a massage wizard! I highly recommend 90 minutes with her if you can, it was so relaxing and everything you want out of a massage experience.

ME in Lancaster, NY is very welcoming. The front desk personnel are super friendly and always greet you with a smile. The quiet room is a great place to begin to wind down from the hectic day, and the massage room is extremely comfortable. The masseuse is always friendly and makes you very comfortable. I have been a member for 4-years and I have never been disappointed.

I hadnt been to a Massage Envy let alone any massage locations in years! I received a gift card for Mothers Day and was having trouble booking. I forgot the associates name from Monday who answered my call. She was super nice and told me that they could squeeze me in at 7 the next day! To me that was awesome because I was having no luck finding an open slot!When I walked into the location Tuesday, Lisa was at the front desk was AMAZING! She was an absolute delight and I enjoyed our conversation before and after my massage! She helped me re-enroll in the Massage Envy package deals, I actually had 4 unused credits (which was awesome)! I love seeing people passionate about what they do!Eric, was my masseuse and he was really good! I was a little nervous getting a medium to deep massage but he really took his time (Im eager to go back)!Overall, my experience was top notch!

This was my first time getting to a massage, Christina was great! I felt comfortable and safe, She was professional and kind! 10 stars is more like it! My experience over all from the time I walked in til when I left was very relaxing!

Maryann has always made my experiences there relaxing and enjoyable. Shes wonderful to talk to and is very knowledgeable about what she does. I always look forward to catching up with her each month during my sessions. Im so sad to see her leaving! :(

Bought massage for my wife. Apparently her massage therapist was very rude upon asking her if she could go just a bit harder with the pressure. Massage therapist then told her if everything wasn’t okay that she could leave and that it’s like a haircut.. if you don’t like it you don’t ever need to come back. My wife got up and left after 10 min. Bizarre experience. Oh and the massage therapist was poking her after she asked politely to go harder saying “boom boom boom, now you’re healed”! Very odd. My wife has had many massages in her lifetime.. never experienced anything like this before. I believe the massage therapists name was rose. Some compensation for this horrible experience and poor customer treatment would’ve been nice but the front desk girl told my wife there was nothing she could do for her except reschedule her. Didn’t even apologize. SAD

Richard did an amazing massage. I had a 90 minute appointment and it was so well worth the extra half hour. Richard me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Time went so fast and I felt wonderful. I would definitely request another appointment with him.

I absolutely LOVE Crystal! She is absolutely AMAZING!!! I love talking with her. Every time I see her I leave so relaxed, balanced and centered and I feel better than I have ever felt in my whole life. My facials with her make me feel so much better than any massage Ive ever gotten. My skin is so wonderful now that I have been seeing her and I feel like a whole new beautiful person, which is so wonderful in itself seeing as I have been going through a lot of medical issues this past year and have been feeling really down on myself. I feel beautiful again because of her. She is an amazing person and so skilled with what she does. She always gives amazing and honest suggestions. I will absolutely keep coming back to her over and over.

I’ve been coming there for a few months now and I’ve been seeing Christi for my massage and she always does an absolutely fantastic job, it’s always so relaxing I almost fall asleep! But this past time I got a facial from Emma as well and was BY FAR my favorite facial I’ve had. She was so soothing and relaxing! She didn’t try and “oversell” me on products. She mentioned and educated me on what I needed, but she didn’t spend the whole session talking which was a big deal for me. I want to relax while I’m there and she did just that! Those two ladies gave me the best self care day I’ve needed !

My recent experience at the Lancaster massage envy was just fantastic. Arthur was very professional and did an amazing job at the massage services. I felt great when I woke up the next day. He is very friendly and is great at what he does. He is highly recommended to others. I look forward to coming in again. Thank you Arthur, excellent job.

My wife had one session that she paid for and after her contract was up they said it expired after only 2 months. They didn’t let her know that it had an expiration date and now she is out of $70. All they care about is money and not their clients. They don’t believe in refunds even if they charge you double by accident.

Massage Envy is great. The staff are always pleasant to deal with, I was able to schedule my monthly massages for the rest of the year and then some. Mike is great for the deep tissue massage. Very kind, friendly & knowledgeable too. If you want a facial, I recommend Tiana! She is fantastic, sweet and I absolutely enjoy every moment of my facial… the 90 minutes is the best!The membership is well worth it.

Everyone is friendly but hard to book a prenatal massage with limited masseuses offering it and right schedule. Richard was good and knew a lot about prenatal, but a little chatty, hard to focus on relaxing. Only thing I really didn’t like about massage envy is it is a constant sales pitch to buy more. It ruined my relaxation. The appointment reminder tried to sell me a membership and then I come out relaxed and they awkwardly make you sit with a consultant and try to sell you on it again making me feel bad to say no. I will not be returning, looking for a real spa experience that focuses on me and not just pushing their products down my throat.

I had my first chemical peel/ exfoliation with Maryann yesterday, she was just lovely, very professional and gentle. Maryann seemed very knowledgeable, told me what she really thought of the products she was using, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. As I said, it was my first peel, so I have nothing to compare it to, but overall it was a great experience, and my skin was noticeably different by the time we were finished. I used the convenient online scheduler, and my entire appointment took about 60 minutes.I gave a 4 star rating because of the cost. I researched services and pricing with various (non-corporate) esthetician and aesthetic services before making the appointment at Massage Envy (doing so mainly because I had a $70 gift card, and I didn’t want to wait several weeks for an appointment,) and I found Massage Envy to be the most expensive.

First time I tried a different masseuse, Rose, who is a very different pressure from my regular deep tissue masseur. It was a very nice experience! I left feeling relaxed and refreshed and will surely choose Rose when I need that!

Rosemarie was the massage therapist that did my massage. She has a great personality, friendly and professional. Her massages are great if you are very sensitive and need lighter pressure. Highly recommend going to her.

My esthetician Crystal was awesome and super friendly! The receptionist Emily was also super kind and always has been in my multiple visits here. In the past my other massage therapist, Rich, has also been wonderful. I appreciate their hard work. Thank you!

I have been seeing Crystal for facials at Massage Envy Transit in Lancaster/Depew for a while. She is great! She listens, offers suggestions if I ask and out does herself to make the experience pleasant and relaxing! I always leave feeling better than when I arrived! Go see Crystal....you will not be disappointed!

I hate that I got to do this review in the first place. I’m giving 1 star for several reasons. First a little back story, I had my very first massage at the NFB location and it was wonderful ! I went on there page and immediately gave them a 5 star rating. The massage therapist I had was so amazing and it was so relaxing ! I talked myself into getting massages once a week to pamper myself considering I enjoyed it so much. Untill this upcoming appointment I just received. To remind everyone I’m not a member and I pay full price on top of 50% tip. On the app I mark all the things I’d like done and Lancaster location on top of the massage therapist I had , had no clue and was questioning everything I marked down. For an example I put down I’d like to receive another LIGHT massage. And Richard being my massage therapist for the very first time told me 90 minutes is way to long to do on my body and wasn’t taking into consideration what I wanted done. Richard seems like a great guy but personally he talks to much I couldn’t relax one bit.I received the rapid tension relief before hand and it was amazing !!!!!!!’ And when I received it this time he had it on max volume where my entire body was vibrating and he was keeping it in one spot and pressing down so hard where it’s literally hurting me , when I told him maybe he should turn it down a couple modes. he used DEEP pressure onto my back and was doing these super weird awkwardness fast motion where I can’t even explain. and now laying here in bed my back is killing me. I’m not the one to be rude and say something there and then because things were already awkward as it is. What an awful experience I had. My full body got tortured during that session. And I had to cancel my further appointment that I had booked with him for the following week. There’s no way I’m ever going back to this location. Spending over $200 including a tip ? To receive an awful experience? What a shame. Hopefully someone reaches out to me and makes this experience better for me. Considering I shouldn’t have gone through that. Everything felt rushed on top of everything. Not relaxing 1 bit. I feel awful leaving this review but it needs to be done. I wouldn’t want someone new like me to receive this same experience I just experienced:(

Recently, I had 2 services at this location. I have a lot going on with muscle tension....these services are important for many reasons. The therapist I have seen a few times is Justin. From the first visit the experience has been amazing. I will be following up with Justin very soon. I can already feel a difference in how I feel. Honestly, I am excited that my medical issues are calming down and quality of life is better. Thank you JustinMy second service was a facial with Jordan. She was shocked I remembered her as I hadnt had a facial in a while. However, I did remember her quite well. I felt my stress go away and my skin plump with hydration. The products she chose were amazing. The technique she had was great. Overall my experience was wonderful. Thank you Jordan. Lastly, I do not want to forget the face of the location reception. I feel they got it right.....I have spoken to mostly all of the staff in the front end and you couldnt have asked for better. They are terrific. I felt that each individual I have been in contact with has worn a smile on the outside as well as on the inside. They are caring, patient men and women that should be proud of their achievements in customer care. Thank you ....Karen C.

I had a massage with Christine and I do not have enough great things to say out it. She listened to me and really focused on my problem areas and explained what she was doing and the hows and whys. Prior to the apt my traps and rhoms were so tight I couldnt fully turn my neck to the side. After and hr with Christine I had my full range of motion back and felt like a new person. Amazing on every single point. 👏 👏 👏

Richard was great! Very thorough and really listened. I just wish he would have gone the full 90 minutes. We talked a bit at first and finished a good 10 minutes early. Otherwise very good experience.

Massage Envy is an excellent company founded on a clever idea. This location has some areas for improvement however, hospitality being the largest one. Recently scheduled 3 visits and was not informed of their in room masking policy until I arrived for my appointment wearing a disposable paper mask vs a breathable cloth one. Scheduling a service here is a nightmare, prepare to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment. Have also had some poor therapists here ( as well as excellent ones ) whereas this has never occurred in other locations. Lots of attitude at the desk and little warmth make this a fifty fifty proposition.

Maryann did my facial and was amazing. Professional courteous, really knows what she’s doing, gives great advice, my skin looks better after going to her, she makes it a wonderful experience. I couldn’t say better things about the location on transit in depew/Cheektowaga. I had not great experiences at a different location but this one is all around wonderful.

Amy was wonderful and I left feeling beyond refreshed. It was so relaxing, so comfortable and exactly what I needed. I was disappointed to hear that she is booked up for the rest of 2022 but she really was so great that its easy to see she would book up quickly.

Worst message ever! Don’t go here. Run away. Message therapist did not know what she was doing. Long fingernails. Frequently stopped message. Total waste of money. I’m trying to figure out how to get refund.

Richard was amazing. Very professional and explained things as he went . I had been sick and very sore, did stretches and massage. The next day, improving!!

I had my first facial in about 25 years and it was amazing. Maryann was so knowledgeable and explained what each product did and how it is beneficial for healthy skin. I cant wait to go back for another!

Amy is the best of the best ! I’ve had over 100 massages in my life time from NewYork- Arizona and Amy is by far the best I ever had ! I have had numbness in my fingers for years and no doctor could help me but within a few months Amy working on my neck almost completely back to normal. She’s a must see for sure ! Christine was the worst therapist I have had. A 60 minute session was really 35 minutes. And that time was spent with Christine putting lotion on my back and legs. There was no massage. A waste of time and money. There have been other therapists that were just fine.

I am happy with the service. However, not happy with being pushed to purchase products after a facial. This makes me second guess my membership. I refuse to purchase products due to the inflated costs.

Crystal is always very professional and knowledge about skin care and products. She always answers my questions and recommends products that are relevant to my skin. She always provides a positive and pleasurable experience.

Rose is very professional, knowledgeable and always does a great job! She focuses on my problem areas, and identifies and addresses the source of the pain. I notice the relief immediately after each massage!

Art is my favorite massage therapist at this location! I am on my feet for 10-12 hrs so I drive a little further for a GREAT massage where there is also GREAT customer service as well!!:)

Crystal was AMAZING!!! It was my first time getting a facial. She talked me through everything. She noticed something didn’t work and she took it away. She was very sweet. If it’s your first time getting a facial please go see her.

Amy is wonderful. She asks, she listens & she finds exactly where I need a little more attention as well as taking care of all other areas also. I am Always completely satisfied after a massage with her!

Having a good deal of pain with walking from a pulled muscle, I was able to get in to see Eric on short notice, and he concentrated all his efforts on my problem area. He was gentle & responsive and I had the expected pain relief after treatment. Its going to take a while to resolve this issue, & I wish I could get back in. I would recommend Eric.

I have been getting massages from Amy for years now. I pray she stays put!. She always knows exactly what to do and I always leave feeling sooo much better than when I came in. I love deep pressure and she is the best!

If you get frequent headaches or migraines from muscle tension, Rose is the girl to go to! She really listened to me and focused the majority of my massage time on my problem areas.

Gabby did a great job on my facial! She has a soothing voice and great conversationalist. She takes extra care to share each step and why it is being used. My face looks and feels amazing afterwards, everytime!

The massage services were very good. However, do NOT get the membership that they will try to promote to you. I decided to sign up for it and at one point didn’t have enough time to use the services so I tried to cancel it. After refusing to work with me in cancelling my subscription, I halted payments for two months and afterwards I got a very threatening email I was going to be sent to collections. Being sent to collections by a massage parlor is an absolute joke so I repeat, do NOT join their membership program

Not at all happy with the experience. I was poked in the ribs repeatedly - not sure why - and too little time spent on the areas of concern. Nice lady but obviously didnt listen to what was needed.

I saw michael and he was the best I have ever worked with. Spoke through exactly why he was going to do something. Even better he actually focused on just my back pain and didn’t do just the typical full body massage.

Chrissy took time to understand my needs for the visit, she was very patient and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Very nice experience.

I received a facial from Crystal. Crystal was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. She provided a very relaxing experience for me.

It disgusts me that I even have to write this but avoid this location and Massage Envy memberships in general at all costs. My wife signed up just over a year ago (before Covid). A month later we found out we were expecting our 2nd child and knew that she legally couldnt be massaged so she tried to freeze the membership. Oh boy was that an experience. A few months later after some back and forth it was frozen. Unfortunately, Matt the manager over there isnt aware how long a pregnancy lasts and requires you to re-freeze your account every 4 months because they have no idea if you are actually pregnant or not (his exact words when I spoke with him on the phone). Point of the story is while we are out around $600 you dont have to be! Make the smart decision and spend your money with a locally owned massage therapist and not a chain where management has no connection to the real world.

If you’re looking for a thorough deep tissue massage I would recommend Art at Massage Envy. I felt so good after I had my massage with him as he encouraged the release of many toxins which then made me feel fresh and revitalized!

Went there for a massage, was turned down. They had 4 girls on their phones behind the host, but they had no time for me.

Amy is quite literally the best. Never had a bad massage from her, after many many massages! Wouldn’t imagine going to someone else.

Richard is very good. The pressure he uses is perfect. A 5 for him. Had my first stretch session and loved it. Felt great

Unprofessional and inconsiderate. Called me less than 2 hours before my scheduled appointment and cancelled it on me. If I had been the one to cancel, I wouldve been charged a fee no doubt.
