Good looking establishment. Two bars and plenty of room for dancing or just hanging out. Beautiful waiters. Good sound system. Only issue is drinks prices are a little high and the bathrooms for the men is disgusting. This place needs management to be more on point with making the facility enjoyable.

I was so excited about my food but when it came out my steak was so bloody when I asked for well done, my eggs and potatoes were so cold. They took it back and brought me back another bloody steak smh! At this point I didn’t want anything else but a drink.

Bought 4 drinks and spent over $100 after paying $20 to get in… I know clubs are usually expensive but my gosh. That’s absolutely ridiculous and bordering on robbery. Music was alright. Vibe was trash. Bartenders were nice tho

Was mildly fun for the first hour or two until I decided to go to the bathroom and literally saw someone overdose on drugs turning blue and unresponsive. There was literally little to no one helping her or any sort of policy for when that happens apparently. Not sure if she made it out alive but that was enough for me to never want to come back.

Brunch was great!!! Love the day time party. Great atmosphere. Hostess and waitress very friendly. Waitress very attentive although she was very busy. Planning a return trip already.

This place charges $5 per water (refuse to serve normal tap water even though they are more than capable to do so), the staff is rude and the place smells like weed. Incredibly overpriced and would not recommend and it’s not worth your time or money. Stay away!

We came to see Pauly D who was great, but the security was insane. We were in the front just dancing and having a good time when one of the security guards came over and pushed my friend and I on the ground very aggressively. We both have bruises on our backs from how hard he pushed us down. The people around us were even shocked that he did that. It was clear he was very angry already because people were waving their hands in his face dancing to the music, but we’ve never experienced anything like that before. I am not one to write reviews or report things, but that security guard went way to far. Hopefully the management handles this or they’re definitely going to get sued at some point.

I came here as a guest for an event that I helped host. I was encouraged to bring a +1 so I brought one of my best friends not knowing that my friend would later be treated like a second class citizen by the security here. In short, this place is transph*bic. And the security guards are rude as hell. You cannot host an event for a community grounded in social progressiveness and then discriminate against said group. Also, the bar was severely understaffed. I’m not sure if they let more people in than they could realistically serve or what but it would easily take 30-45 minutes of incessantly trying to get a bartenders attention before you could get something as simple as a canned beverage or bottle of water. Otherwise, the atmosphere here was nice. But if I’m going out to spend money I’d rather not do it somewhere where I’m going to be admonished like a child for trying to use the restroom.

I had Stephanie as a waitress for my birthday party at Annex with all my friends in a booth recently. She made sure my experience was special, as this was my first time at the club. She was very attentive and quick with service. She even took the time to take a group picture of me and my friends, despite being super busy. She made my birthday so special! I will be returning soon! Great music and atmosphere. Highly recommend celebrating a birthday at Annex!

BEWARE!! Security guards are awful! They plow through the club with no care in the world, I watched people get YANKED out and if you got close to the guards they will physically HURT you, my friend is a 100 pound girl and a security guard knock them to the ground just simply bc they were in the way, please be careful if you on going!! Please be safe

I came to annex for my birthday! The club was already lit per usual. The owner let us continue to sit in a booth reserved by someone else , JUST for my special day shoutout to him! I had an amazing night

I went to One Super Lit Brunch. The ceiling above our booth was leaking water from the rain. The food was cold when we got it. My catfish was overcooked and had too much Cajun seasoning (didnt taste good, either). We had a server at the first table. We were eventually moved to our booth when it opened. Because we were in a different section we should have had a different server. Well, we never did. Everyone just walked past our table.Also, the DJ needs to curate a playlist that they can scroll through. Some songs were played 3 times within the first hour we were there.

The manager of this nightclub is great! He accommodated a larger party of my friends and I last weekend and took the best care of us during our time here. Music is fire and the place is fun!

I heard about annex through a group on Facebook. It sounded like this would be a Latin fiesta or some kind of salsa party. I was mistaken. I feel like there was false advertising. All that said I appreciate annex in the fact that they had a wonderful staff for security, wonderful staff for bar, and a whole lot of fun things for friends celebrating birthdays. My last comment is I do not appreciate the customers that smoked pot And cigarettes while inside the club. It made it hard to breathe. I had to leave earlier than I expected. I dont think I will be back unless a best friend or a very close relative asks me to go and help them celebrate an event.

Refused to serve tap water. Gratuity was charged by default on bottled water. Music was painfully loud, (I usually like loud music, this was a health hazard). Certainly not worth the $20 per head cover charge. We left shortly after arriving. Will never return.

Great atmosphere with good costumer service. They could improve the bar service by having a couple more bartenders, but other than that, it is a great place to go with a big group if you get one of the VIP sections.

The atmosphere is nice. The free drinks for 1hr is priceless. Then they have their different events. Now what I will say is that they dont open on time. At lease the times that I have went. We had to wait on the staff and the DJ to get there to get in. And there are too many people at the door giving access to the club. But wh, its a club. What do you expect. They arent about customer service. They are about packing a house. Oh well...

On a Friday... This spot doesnt accept debit nor credit cards for an entry fee, only cash. Their atm close by charged me four bucks and Chase bank charged me some more. And on top of that the cost of entry was thirty bucks. at around 11:30 PM. Didnt buy not one drink (not that I needed it). So, I cannot comment on that aspect.The upwards stair climb leading to the increasingly loud music gives you the impression that the cost of entry was worth the price. And it isnt. But it wasnt too disappointing either. The place is filled with the stuff that can get you high so use that to your advantage. However, I dont smoke plants. So, I didnt like my lungs and clothes being saturated with it.I admit the black women here look good, dressed nice (some hood, some not). And a few were some of the best looking black women Ive seen at a spot in a long time. Many taken of course. But still approachable nonetheless. The music is Hip Hop all night. Cool... What Im used to. There were some non-black women speckled here and there. Which was a cool offset from the norm. However, this spot hosts a mostly black folk crowd. And... also, the Detroit police are downstairs waiting. Which seems to be a common practice with this nightclub. So, be... ware!

As an entertainer, I am around the night life every single week. I’ve been to many places in the country and I have to say the service from Stephane at the Annex is absolutely TOP NOTCH. I went here months ago but I am just now writing this review because my experience is still not sitting right with me. It’s literally a joke amongst my friend group how bad this place is it’s honestly the worst nightclub in Detroit. They’re trying to charge LA, Vegas, Miami club prices when they’re in Detroit. $20 to get in with cash only and a long line outside only to get in and be half empty. The drinks are were beyond over priced. $17 for a half shot of patron I need this place to get serious. Just a complete utter mess! very rude staff and rapey customers, fights just all types of nonsense. If this was the only place to hangout on the weekends I’d just stay home.

Paid $20 cover fee. Had a friend who wasn’t paying that to get in so she was trying to give me my car keys. I tried asking if I could step outside to grab them from her really quick and then come back inside and the worker was saying $10 re-entry fee. After questioning that after already paying $20 to get in, another worker started yelling at me and becoming unnecessarily rude saying I was holding up his line and then I was basically forced out. Just very disappointing for my first time there and to overall be treated like that

I love this place, great music and the bartenders are friendly and always in a good mood. Do t get me started on the attractive females that go there or the gogo dancers they have dancing. Me and my friends had a booth and i like how they are semi divided so the section next to you don’t overflow on yours.

Ive been there before and had a great time, but last weekend my friend planned a bday party there. They reserved a booth for us and we were a group of 30. Only half of our group got in without cover (mind you we ordered four bottles). Someone tell me why they needed so much money from us. Im still furious with how things were taken care of. I dont recommend this venue to any big party. If youre less than 15 it might be worth it. We felt like we were ripped off, and so well be sticking to the other fun clubs weve been celebrating at. DO NOT come here if youre planning on getting a booth somewhere for a party of 10 + because they will rip you off. And to top it all off everyone who worked there that night had a stick up their ass, and I was pouring my own drinks all night at the booth. The service was garbage.

This is the legitimately one of the most mediocre table experiences I’ve ever had. I visited some university friends that live in Michigan and we picked this place based on popularity of online reviews. Booked a table in advance, showed up on time. Host led us to the wrong table (where another group was already seated) and no employee came to rectify until we asked a bouncer. Then, 35 minutes went by until the server came to take our order. Another 20 minutes went by until we got our bottles. This place wouldn’t last more than a month in a major metropolitan area. Save your time.

I went there with a friend on Saturday. We got there late to a friend’s bday celebration, around 12. The bouncer was so rude and unhelpful. Even though, I told him the name of our host, he insisted that we weren’t on the list and did not even make an effort to help or verify. Though I had written confirmation and our friend was willing to vouch, he made no effort. Yes, she should have made sure we were on the “list,” but a little effort and professionalism could have prevented disappointing customers. He attempted to charge us $20 at the door.... which is idiotic.... the club should cost less as the night wears on, not more. Long story short, we did not get to attend our friend’s celebration, and she was disappointed all because of one bouncer’s power trip, and poor customer service.TLDR: Poor customer service, costs more than it’s worth. Expensive drinks.

This place offers open bar on Fridays from 10pm-11pm and the bartenders seems unhappy about it . My friends and I went this Friday July29 and the only male bartender that was working he wore his hair in braids and had a hat on I didn’t get his name but he was so rude to us , after open bar we brought drinks and one was not good so we tried to get to get his attention to make the drink over and he repeatedly ignored us and when he finally came back over I told him we was trying to get his attention for a while and he yelled at me I was busy I have things to do if you want you come work back here you can and he walked off without resolving the bad drink issue , his tip was already included in the bill so I feel as his service was bad because he is getting tipped anyways so he don’t care about his service to us . I come out to have a good time and he turned my night upside down for being mean and yelling at me because he made a horrible drink

Honestly this is my first review ever. I’m just so overwhelmed with the disaster that has happened tonight. At the end of the night I went to get my coat from the coat check, I had gave them 2 tickets. First ticket was my wife’s jacket and second was mine but they gave my coat away to some random person that had NO TICKET and had said they described my CANADA GOOSE coat. My wife was furious because she had gotten me that coat for Christmas. I really don’t understand how if someone says they lost their ticket they should wait until the end of the night until all the coats clear out and if they claim that in the end it’s their coat then it’ll be that owners. Not only did they mishandle my coat, my car keys and my apartment key were in my coat. So that being said I had to wait outside in 22 degree weather with just a T-shirt on for 30 mins until my friend came to pick me up. Then I had to call maintenance and pay the guy a $25 fee to have them come open my door to get inside my apartment. I honestly have never wrote a review at all but it clearly was such a bad incident that occurred. I’m pretty sure that the person that took off with my CANADA GOOSE coat will not return it. I’m definitely looking forward to how this will be handled.

Annex is an amazing spot on a Friday. The music and views are amazing. Get a total first before you’re poured a drink to make sure your bill is right because it’s hard to hear at times and carry cash.

Terrible..,, this place is a scam..,, I booked a table from their website for $200 no one had my reservation and it was a scam. I would never return but please don’t book with them…..scam, scam, scam

Worst place ever, this place is a big joke. Security here are a bunch of delinquents. Food is disgusting and service horrible. You are probably going to get into a fight here and maybe jumped and nothing will be done. Go anywhere else

My birthday is Sunday September 8th. I booked 2 booths side by side and was paying for 6 bottles of champagne. I got a room at MGM for that weekend for my birthday and i just received a texted saying my booths were sold already. I feel like the guy sold them to someone he/she may know and booted me out. I had family and friends coming and plenty of co-workers from Chrysler. I’m highly upset and now my birthday is ruined. Now you missed out on thousands of dollars. I felt that was very unprofessional and i love coming to this club now you get 2 thumbs down from me and I’m telling everyone i know not to come here.

Event attended: Cash CashPlenty of beautiful people of all colours and sizes, decent venue, great bartenders, great lighting design, the high ceiling makes the place seem very open, fantasticly clean bathrooms. I had a really great night overall!Where it falls short: I ordered tickets, yet my name was not on the will call list. This, on top of other minor grievances, portray their disorganisation. Also they boast on their website our unrivaled audio-visual experience. The wall projections showed the same 2 projections all bloody night. The floors were really sticky at the beginning of the night. Most of these are really minor and picky, but if you boast on your website Nightlife perfected. Im gonna get picky.

This club was the worst club I have EVER experienced in my entire life. They made us wait out in the absolute freezing cold, although we had $60.00 tickets that we bought for New Year’s Eve. I have been to clubs in many different cities and states and this had to be the absolute worst.....I cannot understand how their management and organization could have been so horrible. I hope this club either closes or gets their organization together sometime soon so others don’t have to suffer through the same inconvenience and freezing cold temperatures that we did.

This is the type of place where the waitresses will over charge you for drinks if they can.The music is so loud that, even on the side of the room opposite the speakers, you cant hear more than 2ft away.The bathrooms look like they were annexed by Russia and the shots are short. Skip this place.

We paid $70 4 days in advance to get in and they didnt let us in and didnt give us our money back. They gave us no explanation for not letting us in. Dont go to this place, they are con artists. They made 130 plus people wait outside after buying tickets and didnt let them in. Dont go here.

Awful. Came here for a birthday party yesterday, Saturday.If youre from a big city then you may not like this place either.-Fairly small-Terrible music. DJ would change the song every min. Almost like he was trying to find the right song for the past 2-3 hours. So you really cant dance without stopping every min.-Absolutely disgusting sticky floor. Spilled drinks every where!-Zero ventilation. It was so muggy inside. Even when youre not on the small dancefloor.-Age range was 21-40s last night.-And even if you reserve a booth with a few bottles, they wont serve you your bottles until 12a. So they expect you to pay for drinks until then.

As a person in the service industry I know how much liquor should be in drinks .. I paid $69 for four shots and they gave us under an ounce per plastic shot cup .. the cup is definitely and specially shot sized and it was under a ¼ full .. and that was disrespectful because it was patron 😒

We chose Annex for a friends Bachelorette Party this past Saturday and we had amazing service. We had a few VIP tables and bottle service and we were very well taken care of by all of the staff. Special shoutout to Brian Jeffries and Craig Jelenik for making our evening so amazing and fun. We definitely had the red carpet treatment. This was not my first time to Annex, every single time I visit this club, I am always treated like a queen. More people should chose this place to spend their weekends. Plenty of table space, seating, room to dance, and the best part about it was that we didnt have to wait long for drinks. Definitely will be back for our next special event. Thank you again to the amazing staff who took such good care of us!

Went to brunch there the manager was very rude we ordered eggs with cheese they all came out a different recipe 1 person ordered fish and grits it didnt come out till we were leaving and the manager said sorry is all he can do Ive has brunch in Detroit before being from out of town and lets just say we wont come back food was ok but fish was over seasoned!!

Very disappointed!!!I give a one star just because I cant give cero stars... Saturday night is advertised as Salsa Bachata night, but the DJ plays anything else except Salsa or Bachata. The exception was the live band. They did a good job. And, please dont go to this place if youre a dancer. Most people go there to get drunk and no one knows how to dance..

Everything was medicore until 2:00. Then Marissa (bartender) decided that all of the people who were so generously tipping her were the biggest pain in her ass. She began yelling at everyone to leave, and telling my friends and I she was going to have bouncers escort us out because it was closing time. Must have been her first day, because Ive never been in a club where everyone left at 2:00 promptly. When I asked her if it was her first day, she yelled more. Maybe she was having a bad day. I try not to judge

Staff is awful security checked our Ids 3x made us walk around to the correct line. Ive never been there before so I had no idea which line is which, they never specified so they keepet moving us..which in the end doesnt really matter because VIP or not they made everyone wait the same amount of time. Music was ok. First and last Im going here, the 7 other people that where with me agree!!!!

Is it A awesome place for all age, I have an awesome time and the music was awesome. Its by time that someone brings Latin night dancing closer to home. Im glad that there is something close to home finally.I love love love the confetti and The cold smok Air coming down OMG its very exciting and everybody screaming.🥂PS. Sound system is good and they pull in decent talent. Crowd leaves something to be desired as its reminiscent of douchebag bars in Royal Oak. This obviously changes if you have a headliner like Richie Hawtin that pulls in the right crowd. Regardless, its tough to find a better spot in quality of sound and light show.

Worst club experience I have ever had in my life. Why make people spend $50 to $70 bucks to make them stay out in the freezing cold? I got my ankle sprained from everyone pushing and shoving trying to get in and and security pushing back. I left limping and in pain. Security and other staff were extremely rude as well. Annex night club NYE event was poorly planned, poorly staffed, and poorly executed. Definitely an untrustworthy club!

My friends and I tried to go for Latin night. All of us latino. We were turned down for one person having a hat. No compromise, nothing. We could hear the music outside, not latin. Just hip hop. Bottom line... horrible customer service.

Extremely Unsafe! A young lady was walking past a group of men last night and she was groped! When she told the man that groped her no he just slapped fire out of her! No one in the club intervened, not security, a bouncer or any man in the club. This was a horrible situation that no woman she be put in. I was extremely offended and will make sure to tell any young to not go there without protection!

I had my party there this past March 23rd, I’m only giving 2 stars because I did like the crowd and the Dj, BUT THATS IT!!! Booths were paid for in advance... I WAS TOLD UP FRONT I COULD PAY FOR MY BOTTLES IN CASH...they asked for my drivers license and credit card, only to make sure I didn’t run off without paying.. I asked what for ?? If im paying in cash for everything ? THEY NEVER EVER DISCLOSED MY CARD WOULD BE RAN AND Money HELD...AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY SAID IT WOULDNT BE RAN OR money HELD! AFTER I ALREADY PAID CASH FOR ALL OF MY BOTTLES!!!! THEY DID!! When I finally contacted the owner they told me I would need to handle it myself they could not complete the request of removing the hold on my card, I would need to allow it to release on its own. Please do not allow them to take your card if you plan to pay cash because they lie and do not disclose all that is going to happen!!!!!

This place is horrible on Fridays, everyone smokes inside the establishment, the people who go there are very vulgar and ghetto, the employees are rude and they also charge a very high entrance fee
