These classes are so much fun and Jason is an excellent teacher. Instructions are understandable, fun and given at a pace where you can learn. He teaches in English and Spanish at the same time! So cool. This was my first experience in a class and I will definitely be going back for more. Jason goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable. Thank you.

Jason stands out as a salsa teacher because he is good at teaching. He breaks things down, his instructions are clear, and he knows how to challenge students the right amount. His classes are not too easy nor impossibly hard. Beyond that, he is both patient and firm. And he teaches in both English and Spanish at the same time! He creates an inclusive atmosphere in his classes, conducive to learning, and makes an effort to contribute to and support the wider salsa community. He is a good human as well as a good teacher.

Jason is a great instructor! Very patient and great at explaining the techniques. He uses examples from real life which makes learning the steps easier. For example, when we shouldn’t do a full step he says it’s like stepping on Legos and you keep moving. Recommend his class for any level dancer.

Jason puts a lot of effort into the student to learn. Atmosphere of the class feels like a community. I started in 2022 for some weeks, then had to stop due to personal issues. I restarted in 2024. Is just Great.

What a great adventure it has been since meeting Jason and Amanda! Dance teams, weekend socials, performance opportunities, workshops, boot camps and most importantly, meeting new friends! My fiancé and I went to Jason for salsa lessons for our first dance and he was very helpful. Walked us through a pattern of moves, helped with styling tips, and was very accommodative to our preferences. Would highly recommend for folks looking for private dance lessons!

Great place to learn Salsa or Bachata. I am learning both and I am very excited to improve my skills. If you are close to the New Haven Area and you want to learn to dance you have to give Baila Con Gusto a try. They have a lot of social events so you get comfortable practicing with people that you already know.
