Its a great place to hang out with friends. The music is always on point. But paying $10 for a 12 oz beer is absolutely ridiculous. For that price youre better off going to The Well Bar down the street for a more affordable price.

Amazing food! You get a cool place to see Detroit and feel like a VIP at the same time. Rooftop music, light shows on the building, good friends and private rooms for groups. Recommend all day.

Unfortunately we mustve visited on the WRONG night (Tuesday). Although advertised as a R&B after work social affair. It was anything but that. This bar caters to the young and not so mature crowd (25-late 30s). If your not a Baller or Baller Chaser please find another suitable establishment.Good note: Very clean & impressive ambience, prior to the crowd showing up.

Guard your nuts if you don’t want them tickled! Got pat down to get in and they were NOT shy.Crowd was not the best here… DJ did not play the best songs.Maybe this place would be better with the garage doors open..

The owner has a man bun and thinks he’s in a shampoo and conditioner commercial every time he lets his hair down.

Male bartender with tattoos and nose ring makes awful tasting cocktails, he re-made it twice and both times awful, walked around the bar and asked another bartender to make it and it was perfect. I think he’s unfortunately in the wrong industry or needs bartending school

Great drink specials and competitive pricing. Awesome atmosphere and a huge shout out to bartenders vicki and brad on the top outside for keeping up with me and my crew on a very busy Saturday night. The owner introduces himself and makes sure you are having a good time.

I’m a 22 year old small women and the bouncer wouldn’t let me back in. He accused me of my ID being fake. Sir, why did you let me inside the first place then. I went outside to get my friend. She was inside by the time but was ignoring me. So I was then left outside. Thanks for protecting me. if you thought my ID was fake why didn’t you call the cops. They could tell you that my ID was real by the way… I’m not going to say what even ended up happening to me that night.

False advertising, terrible management and very unprofessional. I’ve been to this location numerous amount of times where the flyer promotions does not match what the staff says. I went to get in free before 11 as the flyer stated, the bouncer tells me it’s $20 at 10:40, i pull up the promoter’s Instagram to show them and surprisingly he deleted the post. But my friend had the screenshot, the staff still refused to honor the post and gave us terrible attitude and refused. All this was because of a special guest (Latto), that never actually came to this event. Would not be returning here again, wouldn’t recommend given this place your money. Drinks are overpriced as well.

The owner Mr Spiro is very unprofessional I was at a party and my business phone fell under the bench in a hole at the bottom of the bench it has to have the top part taken off, It took him 14 days to contact me I called the restaurant about 10 times and left messages and also came there to get my phone he made no afford to contact me now my phone is damaged now because it rained , and he refuses to pay for my new phone he claims he does not have the money please do not patronize him he is a liar and do not care about his customers .🤬🤬🤬

Was planning on the best gyro ever at the Golden Fleece, but due to remodeling we were sent upstairs were they are serving Golden Fleece food at Exodus. Food seemed a little off, still good but not the true Fleece flavor. The service was awesome. Exodus very nice, clean place.

I want to shout out in full appreciation to one of your patrons that helped me last Saturday night ... As I was hesitating to descend the long steep stairs and my friends near the bottom; a young Black female noticed my fear and said here Ill hold your hand. Without hesitation, I took her hand as we safely descended the stairs... I can not express how my heart swells with appreciation for the love that she gave to me; this old white lady visiting from the South... As we exited, I thanked her but failed to get her name as she hurried away...I dont know if she will ever read this, but she should know that there is great love for her...right here...from me....❤️❤️❤️Thank you again...

Great location. The rooftop was excellent and the music/DJs were phenomenal. The drinks were top class.

Ive been going to exodus for years. Ive promoted parties there, had a hs reunion there, etc etc. . .never not once have I ever been so disrespected so blatantly on a day that didnt even matter. Spent majority of the afternoon there celebrating a bday with friends only to find out they no longer offer food. After a couple friends left and came back from getting food I and 2 young ladies go down and walk to the next restaurant over to grab pizza right quick. Once in line for pizza the bouncer at the door says that we have to pay 20 to get back in. Why didnt you say that while I was walking out. I wouldnt have left. He then proceeds to tell me the owner saw me leave saw what I had on, he wants to attract a whiter crowd and that he told him to charge me 20. It was 90 degrees, I had on shorts and designer tee. I confronted the owner and his only excuse was he can change the the door whenever he wants. (It was 719 pm, I had been there since 3) my group had spent well over a few hundred dollars and I the owner eventually let me in once I started to call him out on his bull. Never again will I goto that establishment and I encourage anybody else to stay away. Oh heres the bouncer that fed into the BS after the fact (not the real one who told me the truth the one who tried to enforce the bs the owner set forth)

Its waste of our time. Never going back !It open by 10 pm & says till 11 pm no cover charges. We were there by 10.15, still they asked us to pay $10 per person. Since it was our first time in downtown thought to try. The area is pretty small & crowded.Drinks were moderate ratesDj & music was just average. They do not have enough dance floor.Seatings were available and staffs are good.

Went for a private party on Thursday, August 20, 2015. It was a lot of fun. The staff was wonderful and courteous....until...later in the evening when the music changed and a younger crowd started coming in. We were trying to leave and had to push past the incoming guests. Once outside we realized a member of our party was still inside and we waited for several minutes for him. I went to the door when I saw him standing in the doorway but accidentally knocked over the bouncers drink that was sitting on the ledge of a door. The bouncer told me to watch out for his drink but I had already knocked it over. The bouncer had a shouting fit. He was overbearing and very close to my face as he was yelling at me. I heard the F bomb several times. I felt like I was being attacked so I started shouting back at him that I was F*&(^%$ sorry. My husband decided to come between us as the shouting got louder and louder. I am a 47 year old respectable woman who came to Exodus for a private party. I do not drink alcohol so therefore I was not drunk. I have never been treated in such a manner before. I am not a drug addict, a drunk, a tramp or trash. Just a mom with a respectable career who came for a party. While I understand that bouncers have to deal with drunk trash on a regular basis there was no justification for the treatment I received over a spilled drink, that, by-the-way was sitting on a narrow ledge. Shameful. I will NEVER go back to downtown Detroit for a party unless its on the Ovation or Infinity. I am heartbroken as I just went on national television and talked about how much I loved Detroit. Ironic, since the party was for me and was filmed as part of a promotion. The bouncer was not Shawn...he was the nice one.

Way over priced. This place must think they are in miami. $20 for a drink. A friend paid $80 for 5 shots. It’s a small below average rooftop bar over charging for drinks.

Depends on what type of crowd you like. Not being familiar we picked this place to take a bachelorette party. Online pictures were deceiving about the size. It was small and packed tight enough with people that you couldnt squeeze through to get to the restrooms or outdoor patio. Good thing we didnt pay the 10-20$ cover. Door staff was also rude. One stairway in or out. We had to stand for at least 10 minutes when we wanted to leave because the woman wouldnt let us down the stairs.

This place has awesome bartenders. Fast, freindly, and in a good mood no matter how busy it is. But a downside is it gets so packed you cant move. I dont get the outdoor decor. They are going for Hamptons backyard chic, which is a weird vibe for a rooftop bar.

I had the time of my life, and I owe it all to this crew! I’ve been waiting for so long to find a night club that was right for me, and I finally found one that could anticipate all of my needs. They even had tents in case of rain! I’ll tell you something, this could be love. Thanks Clay!

After what I seen happen at this bar on Saturday night I will NEVER be returning again. There was a group there for a bachelorette party. The girls were having fun minding their own business. One girl from the bridal party was walking and accidentally walked in front of one of the waitresses. Then out of nowhere one of the bouncers grabbed this poor girl up by the neck and threw her down the stairs for no apparent reason. I then seen the bride walk that way to see what was happening because of the commotion and the same bouncer then pushed the soon to be bride down the 10 steps as well! I was in shock watching all of this unfold so quickly. I have heard of similar incidents happening at this bar but never really took them into consideration until I actually witnessed it with my own eyes. I understand people get drunk and cause problems but in this case these girls did absolutely NOTHING wrong. This bouncer needs to be fired and even charged at this point. You do not handle a woman like that.

The DJs are always able to switch from top 40s, to house, to Hip Hop. Wait staff and security are accommodating and friendly. Bottle service is a bit pricey. Great for both indoor and rooftop events.

Friday night at 10pm, and there were only three moms dancing all over each other. DJ looked miserable. Limited drink selections. Will not return.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! VERY LONG WAIT FOR THE FOOD! and it was as long as 45 minutes!!! some of the plates came out COLD! i paid for things i never received! and we werent getting refills on our drinks! i dont know what its good for ,but dont eat here!!!!

If I could give them a negative star I would! I never do this, and have never written a review, but I just had to share my horrible experience with everyone! Last night we made a reservation at Exodos Rooftop for a birthday party of 30+ people. The owner (Yani) and his thugs (bouncers) were the rudest most disrespectful people I have ever encountered! They would not let us in with reservations, yelled and cussed at us. They told us that we cant get in because some people had sneakers on, but we saw others go in with no problem wearing sneakers. Yani then says you can get in but youre minimum just went up and I need $$$. When we got in some of us were not able to get to our booth because they didnt give us enough wristbands, the bouncer accepted a bribe $$$ to let us into an area in which weve already paid for! This place needs to be shut down! The owner needs to be taught good business manners. The people in charge of the reservations (Melissa) do not stand by their word or can care less to accommodate you. The bouncers were out of line as far as aggression. I watched as they were assaulting people for no reason on another level of assault. I couldnt believe the aggressiveness. Last time Ill ever give them my business, and you shouldnt either!

I have been to Exodos a few times and had a great time every time. The service is fantastic and all the girls that work their are not only beautiful but fantastic bar tenders!! The DJ plays great music and the over all scene is amazing!!!

I have been calling for weeks to book bottle service for my graduation. I have yet to receive a call back but received an email and text from coordinator. After responding I never received a follow up

Maybe they were drunk? Or maybe the bouncers were ready to go home? Maybe you guys shouldnt leave bad/good reviews until youve actually visited and experienced this establishment. Im sure well see more of this case in the future.

Atmosphere is vapid, service is slow and rude, and everyone in your group better be dressed like an upwardly mobile professional if you dont want to get turned away at the door due to their antiquated dress code. Not in keeping with the spirit of Detroit. 2 stars solely because they book some of the best local house and techno DJs.

I had a booth and was over charge for everything the waiters just kept working in water and Red Bull to the table no one asked and at the end of the night we just charged $200 for it. I said I thought it was complimentary no one asked for that and she said we still dunk it do we had to pay

I wouldnt call this a rooftop, its a tiny little area on top of a building with walls on all four sides. The bouncer let half of us in for free and then randomly decided to charge the other half cover because they werent pretty enough for him. Super pretentious place with very unfriendly staff. There are way better places in detroit, I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

My 1st time here was nice & clean. Waitress & waiters were friendly didnt like the fact that it said doors open at 9pm but didnt until 10 stood out in cold

Would never return. Three people waited on us and none of them seemed to communicate with each other. When the food was eventually delivered after a long wait, individual orders came one at a time for all four of us by different servers. It was cold, over cooked, or parts of the order not delivered at all.

Had to pay for cover on a slow Friday night but I guess thats just downtown bars...pretty decently sized with 2 dancefloors and bars. Close to other bars so youll hear their music as well. Drinks were pretty pricey. The jams were hip hop and r&b.

Hands down the best bar in Greek town. Amazing owners who care. Killer staff, great drinks and a deck that is a must visit in the summer.

Floor was full of drinks spilled nobody cleaned it up. Everyone was falling from the floor being wet and fights were about to break out and its one way in and one way out. Manager clearly only cares about making money

Used to be a classy club downtown but now its just ghetto and wild. Bouncers will charge a $30 cover just to pocket $20 of it themselves. Will NEVER return to Exodos and MAKE sure everyone I know doesnt either.

From beginning to end, Exodos Rooftop was absolutely awful to do business with. They were extremely hard to get in contact with to even discuss a simple booking. When we finally reached them, there was only one person who could book parties. This manager was so unprofessional in her communication where she often left us hanging for days without responding to emails, texts, or phone calls. We reached out multiple times, well in advance, to confirm the details of our event (time, drink tickets, attendance, etc.) which was for our high school reunion only to find that none of this information was communicated to the day-of staff. In addition, we were charged for gratuity on drink tickets for our guests after we already agreed upon pricing and never spoke about a gratuity tax not one time. Overall, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with booking a venue for an event. Exodos’ management is beyond unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills. If you are looking to book a rooftop lounge in Detroit, I strongly suggest you take your business somewhere else.

It’s a shame that the security guards are the ones you need to watch out for. They were inappropriate - touching us as they walked pass when there was plenty of space. This happened twice. It’s not safe.

Used to love this place. But now they have proven that they dont care about their customers. Manager is an out of control lunitic. Dont hit or bite women. I hope to see this bar close now.

Sorry excuse for a club. Management needs to learn how to accommodate patrons. First and last time Ill go to a club with an entrance in an alley next to a dumpster. And not to mention the owner of the venue is more pathetic than the club itself.

Racist establishment. Charged me and my friend (who is also black) $10 for cover, and charged some white guys who came in right after us $5. Mind you we are both college educated, well to do guys who work in business. Not down with racism at all.

I havent been here in a few years, but the renovations that they did are really nice. This is a great spot with a roof top patio.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner there and it was perfect. Delicious food in a nice private room. Highly recommend this place!

Fun 2nd story bar with an outdoor patio. At night it turns into a dance club. Nice, fun place but drinks are expensive and they charge cover on weekends.
