Today was only my 2nd visit to Dover Family Bodywork. I live in Virginia Beach and only visit the area a couple of times a year...The ladies here, hands down, give the best massages Ive ever had. Im not gonna lie, they do NOT go light! Im almost convinced Im going to have bruises tomorrow.... HOWEVER, Im pretty sure that every knot, kink, and tight muscle that could be worked out, was.For me, thats saying something, because Im a pretty tense person that sits in front of a computer for 8 hours everyday...But, I left feeling like jelly, and just so relaxed. Also, their prices are way more than reasonable.I can see myself driving up here JUST for the massage. And, it would 100% be worth it.

This small, cozy and quaint massage salon is a True Treasure! Very clean and accommodating. The therapist addressed all my issues in my tissues and the pressure was great. Best of all the price was right! Much Gratitude and Love to the entire staff!!

I was there about two weeks ago with my son for a massage. The ladies were amazing and was able to relieve a lot of the stress, tension and knots I have on my back. She gave me good advice on treatment that I need to continue, and I will definitely be there again tomorrow since Im visiting my son at the airforce base to continue to relieve the knotted tendon I have. Received an excellent massage by Kelly today. She’s super thorough, and really focuses on problem areas without me even having to ask. A true massage professional, who knows muscle anatomy . I gifted my husband a massage for Christmas and he raved about how great it was so I had to come in for myself …and he was not wrong! I will be coming back regularly to see Kelly & highly recommend her deep tissue massage to anyone looking to unwind and work out some muscle tension.

Let me just say I am no stranger to massages and have had my fair share. This place offered my husband an I THE BEST couples massage weve ever had, and by far!! The price was also the best around, you really cant beat the quality of the massage they offer. It was truly fantastic. I cant say enough good things! Super friendly, the place was clean and serene. Couples massage was a great experience and affordable as well! Convenient scheduling, as I had called everywhere and no one could us in. They got us right in within a few days and took Great care of us for my husband’s birthday. We will be back! Great service, friendly staff, convenient scheduling , although the location can be tricky if you aren’t looking for it. Had to find them online.

Went in for a relaxing swedish massage and while doing it Kelly found multiple knots and bad spot in my lower back and right leg. Have had this pain for over 2 years with no help. I think I found my help! It hurt while doing it but feel better already 10 minutes later. Thank you, Kelly!! I will see you again!

Husband and I were visiting from out of town for the holidays and I was suspecting a migraine coming on and severe head neck and shoulder tension and we decided to come for a last minute couples massage. We came with low expectations but when I tell you we left with the largest smiles on our face we are not kidding. We walked out like we were on cloud 9. All the migraine symptoms were gone and I felt the most relaxed I have felt in years. I carry lots of trauma in my body and it’s very rare I feel light. This was the first massage I felt the physical and mental weight lifted. I’m so sad we don’t live here but I look forward to coming back so we can get another massage.Professional and kind staff with attention to your body language. Also the hot stones work was exceptional.

20 years of back pain, getting worse in the last 2 years. I took pain shot in back too but no help. I have to take painkillers to do my daily work. My back pain spread out on the left side of my body. Leg to shoulder and lately I hardly sleep in night. I tried doctors, back specialists, chiropractors, and acupressure. I did x-rays, MIR, and nerve tests. No progress. No one tells me whats wrong in my back. I have done 8 weeks of physical therapy that only helped a short period of time, then back to pain again. Then my husband suggest me to try massage and he found this place, and I see Kelly hardly 3-4 times. I feel so light and relaxed, I sleep well and feel energetic during the daytime. I cant thank Kelly enough to fix my back in just over 3 months. She has done hardcore massage, hot stones, cupping, and gua sha. I have been going to Kelly for about 3 months and the difference is amazing. She does a deep tissue massage which I had never experienced, she is working out issues that I have had for years. Kelly truly cares about her clients and wants to help them. Her shop and rooms are clean, neat and very welcoming, Kelly is so friendly and takes her profession very seriously. This was my first massage ever and i did the couples massage! It was so relaxing me and my boyfriend both fell asleep! I have been having lower back pain and after i could feel a difference, it was great. Everyone that works in there are very sweet and know what they are doing. If you haven’t already gone here, you must! I know i am going to be returning! Oh and you can’t beat the prices!

They took into consideration what originally brought us in, (pinched nerve and headache) and pinpointed the problem areas. The atmosphere is relaxing and it is clean and professional inside. Best deep tissue massage Ive ever had! She was very knowledgeable, kind, patient and professional. She found lots of knots all over my body that needed to be opened up. I was so tight and tense when I walked in but felt so relaxed and loosened when I left! She really focused on my problem areas well. The place looked really nice. It was so peaceful, warm, inviting, and relaxing. I plan on going back really soon! Ill recommend this place to everyone I know who needs a really great masseuse.Update: Ive been going to this parlor regularly for a year now and the owner, Kelly, recently hired 2 new masseuse to help! I had the honor of being massaged by Lisa today and she was amazing! She literally did a full head to toe massage, stretches, and hot stones! The face, scalp massages were so relaxing! Kelly is amazing!! She’s the best massage therapist I’ve ever very been to. I was thinking I needed a doctor for shoulder pain but Kelly worked on the many knots in my arm and the pain, numbness and tingling are gone.I’ve learned so much from her on how to work on some of the muscle knots home. Absolutely phenomenal. Cute and inviting interior. The table was very comfortable. Area seems sketchy at first, Google makes it seem like it is IN the storage container area somehow. Its not though, its in the little strip mall right up front. Would definitely recommend. Hands down best message Ive ever gotten.
