Massage Envy

I called on Sunday and booked a 90 minute massage for the next day, Monday. After hanging up the phone, I contacted my son’s daycare and paid for him to go on Monday as he normally stays home. A couple hours later Mia from massage envy called me and canceled the appointment and refused to offer me a credit despite the fact that I had to pay for my son’s daycare even though I didn’t get a massage. Such petty business practices usually belie an underlying financial issue. The manager Judy was worthless and the receptionist Mia was also incompetent.

Massage places should relieve stress right not cause it? Well this place is horrible my fiancé and I got a membership January 25th couldn’t book massages til march paid for our membership for three months and have only been able to get one appointment when brought up the the membership manager she was unprofessional just like the girls at the front desk so we decided to cancel our membership asked for a refund of the money that we had paid and didn’t recieve services for and was told no my fiancé is a disabled vet on a fixed income this was supposed to be something to help us relax and instead it cause major headaches when we first signed up we were mislead being told we could cancel anytime and we would beable to get massages monthly pretty sure one massage since January is not monthly it’s now April stay clear of this disaster of a place unprofessional and a horrible business find another place

I had a really wonderful experience here. It was my first ever massage and I was a little nervous. The atmosphere was really calming. My therapist Jen was phenomenal. She was warm, friendly, and had me melting into another dimension by the end of my 90 minute session. 😂 Ill be back for more! Thank you!

A wonderful experience. The facility itself is incredibly clean. It smelled delightful when I walked in. All of the staff are warm and welcoming. I was offered the bathroom both before and after my visit (which shows just how dedicated the staff are to their clients overall comfort). I completed a brief but thorough questionnaire regarding any medical concerns, points to focus on, areas to avoid etc. prior to my visit (they ask you to arrive for your first massage about 15 minutes early which is great because it didn’t cut into my time with the massage therapist). I saw Karen. She is one of their light touch massage therapists. She is incredibly kind, personable, professional, thorough, and engaging. I was a bit apprehensive about going in due to an injury I sustained. She made me feel completely relaxed throughout the visit. I was relieved to see how careful she was. I would highly recommend her and Massage Envy. Upon check out there were no pushy sales pitches to get me to commit to a membership. They simply ask if you would like to schedule any future appointments or if you would like to leave a gratuity for your therapist. I was offered a brochure and went on my way. Thank you! I could not have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back.

Great experience! Everyone was extremely professional and worked hard to put me first. I enjoyed the massage and the massage therapist was wonderful. She made sure I was comfortable communicating if there was anything I wanted done differently and gave an excellent massage that not only relaxed me, but also worked out some trouble areas. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks (before inflation). Thank you!

Lori is an amazing massage therapist! She is kind, professional, and really makes me feel very comfortable. She really takes the time to listen and cares about her clients. I always leave feeling very relaxed even after walking in incredibly stressed and tense.

I’ve seen multiple therapists at this location and they were all amazing. Alma, Whitney, Kayla all do a fantastic job. They all have different but great pressures and massages! Maya gives the BEST facials! I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience. The front desk is super sweet and accommodating as well, amazing service all around! 🤩

I have been a Massage Envy member for years. I never thought I would be going for monthly massages because of the time and additional expense to the family budget. However, i had a frozen shoulder, therapy wasnt working, so I tried massages and that addressed my issue over time.Lori has been my massage therapist for years. She listens to you and addresses issues. She understands the human body so can identify and help with issues that may also be developing. Shes also very pleasant! I highly recommend Lori!As a person who spends a great deal of time in front of a computer, I now understand the importance of regular massages to work out the knots that develop. Thank you.

Alma was absolutely fantastic. Great communication and made me feel comfortable. The massage was great and just enough pressure was applied. Alma is wonderful at treating athletes like myself and offers therapeutic massage. All the staff at Massage Envy in East Providence were very nice and helpful. I can’t wait to go back again!

Whitney is a very personable therapist, and her friendly demeanor and conversation really upped my experience to the next level. She gave me stretching exercises to do after long commutes as well as recommended multiple other therapies she thought would help me out. She really made me feel like she had my best interest vs trying to sell me something.I recommend her for an additional award for her great service. A company is judged by its employees, and she is an important asset to yours!!

I absolutely love Massage Envy in East Providence. The staff is friendly and helpful.. I look forward to my monthly massages, it is my one treat myself gift to myself and it is well worth it. Kayla is an amazing therapist and always does a great job. I would highly recommend Kayla to anyone!

The place was very clean and everyone was very professional. Trisha did my massage and was great. She constantly ask if I was cofortable or need anything, she was a very caring and thoughtful. When I was done I felt relaxed and the tightness in my body was gone. Would definitely recommend Massage Envy and Trisha to all.

Sueli is one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever encountered. She is pleasant, thorough and really listens to my concerns. Give her a raise!I’ve never had a bad massage East Providence ME. I usually prefer firmer pressure, but Megan’s lighter touch was outstanding. I walked out feeling great!

I love this Massage Envy Location. I traveled around the country for years for work and have finally settled. This location has been by far the most professional, clean, and welcoming place I have experienced throughout my journey. I go every 2-3 weeks and I am so happy with my therapist. He has so much experience and I really appreciate him. Great group of people.

Great experience from beginning to end. The staff is amazing and helpful answering questions. You are brought to a calming quiet room prior to your massage and offered lemon water while you wait for your massage therapist... Who was so awesome ❤️❤️❤️. Best massage ever! If I had anything negative to say it would be that they ask you to carry a heated spa cover for the head rest you are going to be using during the massage... It was a little unusual, but just wasnt used to doing that. I will go back again. Love it there!!!

After reading through the reviews, I have to wonder if the negative ones were left by competitors or people who are just never happy about anything. This location is AMAZING. Ive been to more than one ME location (and plenty of other places!) and, after coming here, I dont want to go anywhere else! Its clean, warm and welcoming from the minute you walk through the door. The staff is friendly and helpful and has always been willing to accommodate my schedule and preferences when making/changing appointments. The massage therapists are top notch and, yes, different people have different techniques and specialties. Thats why they ask when you make your appointment if its your first massage, what type of pressure youd like, etc. If you enjoy a good massage, give them a try. Im very happy that I did and plan to be a customer here for a very long time!

Alma was absolutely amazing. I have not had a massage in so long and she knew exactly what to do to help me feel better. She communicated really well to understand my pain points and her hands were like magic. Due to her amazing massage, I decided to become a member so I can continue to see Alma. Until yesterday I had never had a massage. The woman who checked me in was extremely helpful with answering any questions I had and making sure I would receive the perfect service for what I was looking for. I answered some basic questions about myself and my lifestyle and then I got set up with my therapist Fran. She was great and made the experience super comfortable and relaxing for me. I ended up signing up for the membership because I know I will want to come back every month. They were celebrating their locations 7th anniversary so I got to win some cool prizes too! Can’t wait for my next appointment

Absolutely do not go there. Co worker bought a gift card for me as a gift. I went to use the card and it was blank. After weeks of back and forth emails the response I get is the card that should have been ran wasn’t… so did they take my co workers money and give her a blank card which I ended up with? Sure did! Do no go there. Complete scammers

Amazing!!! This was my first experience getting a massage. I was a little nervous, didnt know what to expect. The staff was fantastic and they put me right at ease, answered all my questions and then some. The massage itself was out of this world, Anthony did a marvelous job and I will definitely be going back to him. I highly recommend Massage Envy to anyone looking to unwind and relax.

I really like this Massage Envy site. Theres great communication and they were truly on it with COVID precautions.For skin care I love Jenniffer. She is so knowledgeable about skin care and my skin has been looking so much healthier and brighter since I started working with her. Shes incredibly friendly and just awesome.

Sueli is amazing! She’s very personable, caring and invested in her clients and the work she does. I arrive feeling tense and leave relieved and relaxed every time! Her attention to detail to address all problem areas is unmatched. She applies the perfect amount of pressure as needed.

Had my 2nd massage at Massage Envy (East Providence,RI) yesterday. I dont know why i waited so long to have my body feel healthy,healing and less arthritic!!! I highly recommend it !!! Not only were the 2 massages done to perfection but the entire experience from the initial consultant to the receptionist are professional, courteous and informative !!!

I absolutely LOVE this location for facials! Maya and Jenniffer are nothing but the absolute best! I have had facials in other locations including Boston and Newport and none compare to the quality of the facials provided by both of these estheticians with the attention to detail and extractions. There is no reason to spend double or triple the amount on a facial for less than what you would get here. They are top-notch!

Switching careers from a stand up job to a desk job has really taken a toll on my neck and back. Since Ive been seeing my massage therapist weekly, my pain has reduced drastically. There are weeks I have none. She listens to me, is extremely professional, and even offers helpful advice to me. Ive always been treated awesome by all of the desk staff as well. Very personable, they promote products but arent pushy about it, and will try their best to accommodate you. Im thoroughly impressed with Massage Envy - Seekonk.

Ive been a member of Massage Envy for years and have visited several of the locations in RI and MA, but Massage Envy in East Providence has never disappointed me. Their staff is always professional and easy to work with. Their massage therapists are second to none. I strongly recommend checking out Massage Envy EP if you want a massage.

Professional. Very covid19 aware and take many precautions to avoid infection. My therapists are always proficient in their work and have not had anything less than a great massage from them all. Book early as they do fill up and sometimes it’s hard to get the date of choice especially if you request a particular therapist or want a 90 minute massage.

I always look forward to my monthly massages with Sueli! She is personable, sweet, and a phenomenal masseuse! The staff is also very professional, and it’s always impeccably clean. I highly recommend!

Ok. This is mostly for the therapists themselves. To me, they are the main bread and butter. Lori and Whitney are AMAZING! They really know their jobs and how to do them... which is rare now a days.. You kinda do trial and error to find the best therapist for your needs. I know some people complain about canceled appointments... which I hate too... but you have to remember they need time off too. And when you only settle for 1 or 2 therapists, more likely to happen. They are human beings and not machines. They allowed to get sick, have family emergencies, etc. I know... shocking huh? I was reading some other posts where someone was upset about not being able to sleep. Are you kidding me? Go to sleep at your own house. You dont sleep at the chiropractor or at doctors office or the barber/hair salon... do you? Kinda the same thing. I will say.... my membership fees increased slightly, and was never told. Wasnt happy about that. However I understand that is a corporation thing and not EP Massage Envy. My problem would be with corporation itself. Anyways... keep up the good work. I happy and look forward to all my appointments!!

I had a gift certificate that my daughter gave me a while back and tried to use it and was told that it was not valid anymore because my daughter is no longer a member and certificate had to be used within 60 days of her membership cancelation. She was not aware and neither was I. I think thats a poor policy and because of this I will never return nor my daughter and some acquaintances. They should have honored certificate. I have a certificate for a similar business thats over 7 years old because I misplaced it and they honored it.I was planning on returning because Maya did a great job..this is nothing to do wo her service..she was awesome.Dora Leal

My boyfriend and I scheduled back to back appointments with Ebony. She has very strong hands and she was very knowledgeable about the different muscle areas we had some pain in. She knew exactly where the extra tension was and how to fix it. I would definitely recommend her if you’re looking to get a deep tissue massage.

Jennifer is amazing. She was very informative, professional and personable. I left feeling good and felt that I learned more about my skin after the back facial. Jennifer is the best.

Had the 60 minute massage. It was a great experience! I felt great after leaving there. Meghan was wonderful. Front desk staff was very friendly and professional. So glad I joined!!!😊

Had an incredible session with Megan yesterday, Monday. I have been having quite a bit of back pain due to past injuries and some recent extensive exercise. Actually had seen a Sports Medicine Doctor and he identified the areas in my back that were all knotted up and causing me the pain and he performed multiple Trigger Point injections in that area. I explained to Megan what the Doctor had found and she went to work digging into those knotted areas in my back and chest and was able to loosen up those muscles and get me some much needed relief. I have been dealing with this back issue for over two months, seeing Doctors, having PT Sessions , and had full spinal x-rays done, and nothing seemed to be working. I was so excited about the success that Megan was able to bring me with her massage therapy that I booked an additional session with her for this Thursday. I am extremely grateful that with Megans help I may finally be on the path to relief and recovery. Thanks Megan, much appreciated!!!

I had a membership for a year, the first visit using the membership was a 60 min massage and a free stretch section. They try to charge me for the stretch section. The last visit I scheduled they charged me for portion of the visit 68.00 dollars to be exact; eventhough on my previous visit I had enough visit accumulated to be use on this day. The front desk is terrible they dont know what theyre doing obviously, since it happen twice. The massage therapist and the estheticians are great and friendly. I give 2 stars due to the fact that I was charge for services that were covered. I feel that since I end my membership they were in need of charging me extra money for the services since it was my last visit. Overall I dont recommended for the bad experience at the front desk. Its not worth it to have great massage therapist and esthetician if you walk out of the rooms after having a nice section and the front desk try to charge you extra money and give you a hard time for services that were supposed to be covered. I personally made the appointment and asked both front desk clerk if they were covered and they both said yes. I ended up paying 45 dollars out of pocket on my last visit. Instead of them waived it for their mistake.

Ive had a very poor experience at this Massage Envy. When I was signing up for a membership, I was very concerned about being locked into something that may not help my medical issues. I was told explicitly that I could cancel at anytime; however, when I went to cancel after 9 months of trying massages, I was told that I would have to pay for the remaining 3 sessions. The service I received at the front desk was sub-par, and management was very unwilling to discuss the possibility that someone on her team had given incorrect information. I would highly recommend steering clear of this place, especially if you are unsure of if massages will help your medical condition.

Kayla was literally amazing! I was trying to fight not falling asleep so I could be awake and enjoy the massage but I’m pretty sure I was snoring when she woke me up at the end. Love her ! Thank you Kayla !!!

I went in for a Microderm facial and LOVED IT! Darian, my esthetician, was knowledgeable and insightful. She answered all of my questions and didnt mind I took notes. After the treatment she talked to me about how to get the best from my skincare routine and helped me pick out products for my face. I cannot recommend her enough! I will be back again for this treatment. The spa was beautiful and clean, everyone was professional and made sure I was comfortable and happy. Ask for Darian when you go for your skin treatments.

Place is a scam, we got my dad a gift card. For the last year they have been billing him for a membership, called to cancel cant. its worst than the old Columbia house scam. DO NOT give them your credit card, youll regret it.

My massage with Alma was wonderful! She made me feel extremely comfortable and the pressure was perfect. Very relaxing and relieved the tension I was feeling!

I cant say enough about my massage with Anthony A. at Massage Envy East Providence. He listens to where my pain is . Then explains to me where its originating from and helps me to alleviate it with consistent visits. Anthony is helping me function on a daily basis. I actually think all the massage therapist would credit from a lesson with Anthony!

Crystal gives a tremendous stretch. I felt so much better after my 1 hour stretch. She explains what she is going to do and as well as the purpose behind the stretch. I would definitely recommend her.

While my first experience having a facial was fine, the experience getting an appointment is much less enjoyable. Not once but TWICE I have made an online appointment, gotten an e-mail confirmation and never received a call to confirm an appointment. The first time I let it roll, assuming that someone had just failed to do their job. The 2nd time however I called, there was no actual appointment made for me, and they bold face lied saying they had called, no message left, no missed calls, etc. Why even bother have an online booking available if youre employees dont follow through? There was no apology, no explanation as to why this failure in communication happens. Nothing, just a response that they can book me an appointment. Thanks, but nope, Im locked into a membership with them until August 2017; but I will NOT be going back to the facility in East Providence, ever.

We just went for an appointment we booked 2-3 weeks ago for a couples massage and they told us unfortunately our Appointment was not in the system. Ive always had amazing services from massage envy so this shocked me. The front desk employee was kind enough to give us a courtesy for our next appointment but the East providence location needs to look at carefully at who they employ behind their phones

I had my massage and the therapist was talking the whole time where I didn’t feel relaxed to feel the difference as I walked in, I have had massages before at another service I felt so relaxed and even was able to fall asleep at that service. I don’t see myself going back to this location. Very disappointed and this was a gift for me.

Santiago was excellent . The massage was so good, I found myself falling asleep snoring. Lol great experience and highly recommended. I will be returning to Massage Envy in East Providence.

Always a pleasure. Front desk is polite, place is clean, the massage therapists are great at listening to your needs and doing the actual massage.

Different technicians each time I went so service was inconsistent but adequate. What threw me off was after they got you relaxed from the stress off the day they hit you with membership and way too much to think about. If you answered no you would be spammed by emails and phone calls. Oh and if you get a gift certificate as a actual gift they automatically sign you up and take membership fees from you. It was a circus act for the person I bought the gift certificate to cancel the charges against them.

Went there today for a couples massage with my wife, I feel horrible afterwards like i slept on a rock my neck is killing me. I went in happy and pain free and I came out angry and feeling robbed. I do have to say at least that the place was very clean and the staff was very courteous.

Had a 90 minute massage with TJ and it was the best massage ever. If you suffer from injury and need deep tissue massage then he is the guy to see!! Definitely recommend TJ.

It amazes me how badly front desk receptionist makes the experience. The esthetician’s and massage therapists are 5⭐️. But dealing with front desk and not ever being given a straight answer is the worse! 0/5 for reception and 5/5 for everything else

Clean and good prices. Lost star due to low availability of service. I assume due to staff shortages. You have to book services way in advance. If you want night time or weekend appointments.

Wife called for appointment. Said they had availability until she stated it would be her first time (intro rate). Then was told no available appointments. Rip off......only taking when they can get full ptice. Sad. Second time she has tried with same results at two different locations.

If I call I have to listen to a more than four minute ad, then it rings, until another voice message comes on that says they are closed, but according to posted hours, they are supposed to be open. I went over to make an appointment, but again it was closed. Have they gone out of business?
