I’ve been coming to Onyx for years. Since not longer after they opened! Now that my daughter is older, she comes in with me, and whenever my mom is in town she insists we go in! I have always had a stellar experience in here- not just with the final appearance of my nails, but also with the overall experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, the nail techs are wonderful at what they do. I do have my favorite technicians, but I also feel comfortable and confident with anyone that works on my nails. I will continue to happily be an Onyx customer for years to come!
I got my nails done for a trip that I’m going on this week and Leon did INCREDIBLE. He exceeded my expectations I cannot say enough good things about my nails. The salon was also super clean and everyone there was so nice and it was so organized. Even with my friend and I coming on a Sunday afternoon without appointments. If there was higher than 5 stars I would give it!
Vincent did such an amazing job on my gel builder nails. I was so excited to try something new, I’ve always been a gel mani girl so when I found out about gel builder I was more than ready to give it a try!! He exceeded my expectations! Rachel is also the most amazing tech at pedicures! I’ll go back here always!! Great atmosphere, nice people. Only thing I will say is that they do tend to charge a little more than surrounding salons especially for take offs, shapes, etc. Butttttt you get what you pay for!
I am literally in the parking lot of onyx writing this review, after what I can say was THE worse dip manicure I have ever gotten. I have blood under one nail, residue all over my fingers, multiple nails not fully painted, and one pretty rough/inflamed cuticle. These pictures are of my fingers RIGHT AFTER my manicure. I am debating heading to my usual nail salon right now to get them fixed. Needless to say I will not be back.
I’ve been coming to Onyx Nails in Alliance since moving to Ft Worth a year ago. Justin is my go to man! He gives the best pedi ever. He’s very meticulous and finishes by massaging my feet like no other. I get the Pink Cosmo pedi with gel polish. I also get my nails dipped in powder and Nathan is the best for that. Don’t go anywhere else!
Pros: nice staff, serve a variety of drinksUsed to love coming here but the quality has gone down significantly. Several times I have had nails pop off in less than a week which leads me to believe they are using cheap products. The final straw was my last visit. These nails are only 9 days old but as you can tell look much older. Not to mention a nail on my other finger has already popped off. Will not return. Their prices are too expensive to keep having this happen.
I liked it but I didnt love it.The service is so busy that you cant even stop to think about choosing what you really want. You need to arrive with everything already written down.nails are not cleaned during the process. So you can see some nail file dust in the color that shouldnt be there. and maybe thats why its not super shiny like it was in the color book.I asked for a Shape coffin, and its more like square :/Finally I had to get home to try to tidy up a little. But I dont believe Ill have these nails for long.
I highly recommend Justin, he did a fantastic job! This place was awesome! Everyone was so nice and welcoming, plus free drinks! My pedicure didn’t feel rushed at all, they seemed to really take their time. My toes look and feel amazing. Hands down the best pedicure experience I’ve ever had.
They were super friendly but the service was horrible. I got a Mani and a Pedi and the girl doing my Pedi cut me 4 times and was SO ROUGH with zero remorse when I would visibly jerk from her cutting me.The guy doing my fingernails was rough as well but calmed down when I told him it was burning my fingers with how high be had the power on. My nails didnt even last a week when I can go 4-6 weeks easily. They snapped and chipped and he made them entirely too thin.
Ive been coming to Onyx Nail Bar for over 3 years. The salon is always clean and the beverage options are great. Their staff is very friendly and lve always received great service. My tech makes sure Im happy and is very accommodating if I request any adjustments to my nail shape during my service. Communication during your service is very important and ensures you get the service you want. They have an extensive selection of polish/gel/ dip colors and talented techs that can create many designs. Be sure to book in advance because they are ALWAYS very busy during peak hours.
My wife is a nurse and works 14 hours a day. I have my own company and Im on my feet A lot outside and have had 2 Knee replacements. Such a treat for ourselves. They are so consistent. The massages are so nice for the feet.We very much enjoy my wife hadme go with her once. Ive gone with her every time
Customer service was very nice and got us in fast but I wasn’t a fan of my nails 90$ worth and I didn’t like it at all. Some of my nails were square and some were oval. I asked for all to be same length but some were still longer than the others. I had to go hm and fix them. Sucks bc I was visiting in Fort Worth to spend time with someone and wasn’t aware it would end like this 🥺
Absolutely love this place, everyone does a fantastic job and they are so nice! I typically have Leon or Kay do my nails (dip) and Peter for Pedicures. They provide great customer service and make sure you feel taken care of: They have a proper bar wish signature cocktails if you want to try something different, and the owner is incredibly sweet! I switched to this salon a few months ago and they really do provide an experience unlike any other salon in the area.
If you’re searching for the ultimate pedicure experience, look no further than Onyx. They serve awesome drinks (cucumber martini) and the atmosphere is perf.Leon is my go to he takes his time and pay attention to every little detail, Im satisfied with his work and he has me feeling pampered and renewed. I can’t recommend Onyx highly enough!
This is by far my favorite nail salon. I am a loyal customer and will never change salons. The quality of service, care, and professionalism is outstanding. I’m always excited when it’s time to get my nails done again. The nail techs and owners have become like friends to me and I’m always comfortable being here.
From the moment you walk in the front door, you feel very relaxed and invited. Vivian and April did an amazing job on my manicure and pedicure. I have never had a pedicure before, and this was a great experience. The complimentary drink and massage chair was a great addition as well. This was my first time here but definitely will not be my last!
Kevin did my pedicure and it was perfect. I don’t remember her name but a different lady did my manicure and it was pretty bad. I know I have short nails, I have to for my job, but you can still do a manicure without issue. Most of my cuticles are painted. It flows over my skin in the sides. And there are even black dots around my fingers.
This is dedicated to who I claim as my go to Nail Tech Kelly. Her work is phenomenal. Each time I go to Onyx Nail Bar I have a vision then she always comes through with beautiful work. It makes my day to show off our combined creativity. There is hospitality and also dope artistic perspectives of what nails could possibly be. Hugs to her. Would definitely recommend this place. Keep up the good vibes.
I love this nail salon. Ive been coming here for about 8 months. Lannie always takes care of me and she can do any shape. I always ask her opinion because shes going to give me her expert opinion and do the best she can to make my nails last as long as possible while also making sure theyre healthy. The double shot manicure with nexgen dip is the best. And they have happy hour (20% off) Monday-Wednesday before 3pm.Came back after being gone for several years and Lanie isnt here anymore but Peter and Justin were fabulous! Love the customer service and atmosphere.
This is by far the best nail salon I’ve ever been to! I went with several other women and each set of nails was done to perfection. The drinks were phenomenal and the pricing was equal to places I’ve been to that are not nearly as nice. Highly recommend!
I used to love this salon, but the last couple of times my daughter and I went, the nail techs were so rushed, they did not do a good job. I had to keep asking her to redo a couple that were so messy and lumpy. Still does not look nice and after spending over $100 that is extremely frustrating.
Bella did the pedicure. Nail polish on half of my nail and on my skin on the sides and cuticles. I had to tell her to cut the cuticles she tried to skip. She didnt even bother to shape the nails. She tried to put my feet in the bowl without the plastic protection and it was pink from never being cleaned and sanitized. This salin is an unsanitary waste of money.
Went in for a service to get get my nails and feet done my feet came out wonderful but as of my nails they looked a mess the lady looked like she didn’t know what she was doing they charged me 45$ for color acrylic $10 for length which wasn’t even long the nails looked crazy she knew i was upset kept asking if i was okay they said let her finish and they promise i would be satisfied and at the end i wasnt i went in there payed $169 and asked them can they just take the nails off and give me my money they said they don’t do refunds had no policy that says they don’t do refunds i kept telling them i don’t want them to do my nails anymore i just want them to take them off and give me my money they kept saying no all they can do is fix them cause the lady worked hard so i said at least give me half of what i payed for the nails and they said they can’t but whe. i started to get upset the lady was quick to give me my money…..MORAL OF THE STORY DONT GO HERE
Kelly took the absolute best care of me. Ive been coming here for years and I dont think Ive gotten a better set and I am just absolutely thrilled. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality nail salon. I have literally had my nails done by so many of their texts and I dont think Ive had a bad set yet
I’ve been coming here for quite a while now, and I’ve never been able to find someone to do my pedicures quite like Justin. He’s very sweet and attentive, he takes his time, and I always leave satisfied with the level of service. 10/10
I will try this place again maybe… but the 1st time I felt rushed! I had to ask for a drink and I don’t love my nails. My bestie and her hubby go her all the time and love it…so I will go again with her and see if my treatment is better.
My daughter first recommended Onyx to me and I was dead set on not changing from my regular place across the highway but I went ahead and took a chance and man I am so glad I did!! Best service, free drinks with a full bar and bartender, very clean and I can literally bring in a picture and they can duplicate anything!
Service here is going down hill. The front desk has been rude the past few visits. My nail quality has been inconsistent. I add on a neck and shoulder massage often whether I get a mani or pedi. Today I was told they don’t do that for pedicures like it was never a thing. But I’ve definitely had it done before. Disappointing.
Customer service and promptness is outstanding. Staff does a great job providing high quality service while making you feel welcomed. They provide one complimentary drink with the service.
My nail tech, Megan is excellent. Im new to Ft. Worth. Did some research and found Onyx. Bartender, par excellence. The place is nice & clean, & large and the employees are very hospitable & friendly.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Always leave satisfied with my Mani & Pedi done always get my nails done by Kevin ! 🤍 He does an amazing job and is super friendly. You can sit back and relax while sipping on some of their amazing Cocktails or BYOB ! Highly recommend coming here Super clean also Definitely sticking with this Nail Salon
Iv been coming here for 2 years! Megan and V are my go to girls for my nails and pedicure! Sarah and Leon do my moms and they are fantastic as well!Tina the manager is absolutely the sweetest person. These people give the most amazing service. Free drinks and some good Quality alone time or with your friends, this place is where you need to be! I will never go anywhere else!Shout out to megan for always making me feel pretty and like my self again. My time with her while shes doing my nails, and putting up with my high maintenance self, is always the best time!! Thank you, Onyx!!!
The service I received was very poor. The nail tech I had was more concerned with talking to his coworkers and cleaning than doing a good job. When cutting my cuticles he made me bleed, when filing the nails he filed into my skin. He didn’t stop but continued. After he finished filing he sprayed it with alcohol and it was not pleasant to say the least. He started coughing all over his hands and didn’t wash them and he left me unattended for 10 minutes without saying a word. He burned my skin with water, burned it with the hot stones and the paraffin wax. The 24 minute massage was a joke it was 2 minutes on each leg and it was like he was petting my leg. The actual application was a joke. Once I got home I had to clean the polish off my skin. It’s been 2 days and it is already chipping. I am in the beauty industry as well so I do have higher expectations but this was the worst service and experience I have ever had.
Met my friend over here for a pedi. The inside of the place is very clean and airy feeling. There is not that strong distinct smell of chemicals from the nails. At the front you sign in and pick your service as they have a full menu of what they offer, after that you pick your color and then they offer you a mixed drink, wine, or non-alcoholic drink (all of which is complementary). A tech will come by to seat you and then start your service. For the service I received, I believe it was average price but I feel they could have done a better job on my toes. I have yet to find someone to my standard so I keep trying.Overall good experience, I would go back and will in the future, at least to see my friend and have a good girls outing.
I’ve been here twice and the first time was ok I was over charged for a short set but hey that’s ok. The disappointment is the second time I went. I chose to take my little sister here to welcome her to Texas and get her nails and feet done and I’ll get me a acrylic set. I requested Kevin to do my set because I loved his personality the first time. I paid for a “pink & white” set and when he showed up to do them he complains the whole time while doing my nails that they were plain and his exact words were “why did you request me to do your nails anybody could have done this I like exotic designs and nails” and he goes to say how nobody wears these nails anymore but I guess “I’m remembering where I came from”. At that moment I felt bad because I thought i was actually giving a good impression by requesting him. Not only am I disappointed by his complaints but also the service. A couple days later my nails had bubbles and were coming up as if I’ve had them over a few weeks. I feel very disappointed and the amount I paid was not worth it at all. I really wish I would have invested that $100 into a nail tech with better customer service and skills.
I just started coming here and I love it! Great customer service, wonderful communication throughout any service, and the nail techs are fabulous
My first time here & I probably won’t come back. Service felt rushed and I wasn’t even asked what shape I wanted for my nails. Only thing I give a 10 are the mimosas I drank 😂
I love the staff but always super expensive. I understand a little extra maybe 10$ for nail art but an extra 25 totaling to 55 is a little extreme. Sometimes I want to get my fingers and toes done but its about the price of both just for my nails.12/10/2022 (update: three years later) It’s funny looking back and reading that previous review I wrote. Oh how the world has changed. I returned to get my nails and toes done for my 21st birthday. Jade did an amazing job on my pedicure and I deeply regret not catching the woman’s name who did my nails. But I’m in love with them. They were all so kind made me feel so special.
I am highly disappointed. This was the second time I visited this place in a month. I went on Thursday evening at about 5:30 10/7/2021. By Monday morning I have 5 nails lifting and gone. The shape was done horribly. My nails usually last a month. I am a teacher and I am not rough on my nails. I paid $100 and I really wish I could get my money back. I will not be returning to this establishment.
Best nails ever! Tina and her crew do it right at Onyx! Love this place. It’s clean and the service has always been on point . Thank you Onyx team for doing a great job!
The salon itself is beautiful, and I cannot speak for all services offered, however I echo reviews stating that this salon isnt the a great spot for GelX as I has my nails done on a Saturday morning and by Sunday afternoon I had a nail pop off when picking up a folder with 3 pieces of paper in it. I went to have that nail repaired on an empty Tuesday evening, and found the nail tech to be rude and rushed, and not matching the nail to others design. By saturday, due to poor application, 3 more has began to peel at the base and it was not worth the return to repair at this point. For GelX I recommend West 7 in downtown, because for the price I paid for less than a week of nails, I couldve saved myself time and a decent amount of money and bought press-ons from the store.
They did an amazing job on my nails. It was a really great atmosphere as well.
Great place for nails! Its a busy location and they get you in quickly. Leon does fabulous nail art. New female bartender super friendly and makes nice drinks.
I absolutely love this Nail salon!!! They always do an amazing job on my nails and pedicures!!! There are plenty of chairs so there is hardly ever a wait! Plus they serve you whatever you would like to drink while you relax and let them pamper you! How does a nice glass of wine or a cup of coffee sound as your getting your pedicure? Check them out! You won’t be disappointed!!
Everyone is always very friendly. Love that I can get Viet Iced Coffee there while I get my nails done!
I have been coming to this location for a year now and they never disappoint. Clean, friendly, bright and fun. You’re missing out if you don’t come here!
I had a full set of acrylic tips and a wonderful pedicure done today! Lynn did my nails and Stacy did my pedicure. My mimosa was delicious!!I messaged on Facebook for an appointment and sent over my inspo picture for my nails. They answered promptly and when I arrived were great about explaining the menu and I did not have to sit around and wait. Now this was on a Monday, they said weekends are better to make an appointment ahead of time! The salon was immaculately clean, they are obviously taking covid guidelines seriously. Everyone had masks on properly, made sure guests were spaced out, and I watched them sanitize everything after every person.Lynn did a wonderful job on my nails. They are the perfect length and shape. She made sure I was happy with them every step of the way in case we needed to make adjustments. She also helped us pick the right color for my toes to match my nails.Stacy also made sure I was comfortable, made sure water temperature was good and everything. The leg and foot massage was so good I almost fell asleep! My feet are so happy and pretty now! Both ladies were so sweet and made great conversation, while allowing me to relax as well. Pricing is fair and average for what I wanted. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely worth the money. I love the added couple min neck and upper back massage included into the manicure. I always have the beach one. I got an ombre this time and it looks fabulous. I will say one thing that could be improved, asking if we want to soak our nails in acetone or file with the nail drill. My nails are super brittle because of the intense filing and I could feel my nail get really hot.
Ive been coming to Onyx for over 3yrs now and today was the worst service I have ever received. My nail tech Nina was rude and very unprofessional. I informed her my nail was slanted and she became upset. She gave methe roughest message ever and then proceeded to tell me to find someone else to do my nails my next visit. I spent $135 dollars today and I cant believe how horrible her customer service was. Not sure I will be returning. I did report the concern to the owner.
My favorite place to go! I highly recommend them to anyone wanting your picture perfect Pinterest nail ideas!*Edited to add* I still come here- months later, for every set of nails. Leon was my tech today and he did me an absolutely drop dead GORGEOUS set!Forever an onyx customer!
I always love coming here with my mom. The staff is always so kind and are clearly good at what they do. It is always a VERY relaxing time and Im always happy when leaving. They even did some recent upgrades and it is even better than before. I recommend to any and everyone I meet to come here.
I usually don’t make reviews but I’m so disappointed. IWent in one day before having my baby so I wanted to to just relax. The gentleman doing my hands was yanking me and folding my hands and fingers in ways that they don’t bend. I let him know it was hurting me and he was more careful but he seemed like he was in a huge rush. Even my manicure was not relaxing or done correctly my nails had streaks in them. My cuticles were all white after I paid for a manicure.I called to speak to manager but he was not in. The person that answered the phone asked if I wanted to redo them but I have no time now since I’m going to hospital tomorrow. I should’ve just stuck to my normal place.
I went here a few months ago and got a great mani and pedi. Today I went back and got the worst mani and pedi Ive ever gotten in my life. The lady who did my nails kept cutting me with the edge of the nail file. I pulled away because it hurt so bad and I kept telling her Im bleeding! She didnt seem to care, not even a sorry. When I say it hurt, I mean I was tearing up because it felt like a slow motion paper cut a hundred times over. The manicure didnt even turn out good after all that! The tops of my nails are bumpy and uneven. I had to go home and file the edges and reshape them because of how bad they look. I noticed when I got home that my toenails were also all messed up. The polish was all over my skin! Even I can do better and Im not a nail tech! She seemed in such a hurry to finish everything even though I was with 3 other people and was the first one done. So I pay without knowing a total and she brings back my receipt that doesnt show the 15% off for happy hour. Everyone else got it in my group but not me, even though it was before 3. I took it to the managers and explained I didnt get the happy hour special and that the lady cut me multiple times. They both didnt say one thing about me getting cut and offered a refund and to re-charge my card for the happy hour price. So now I have 2 $90 pending charges on my account! I am extremely disappointed in how they handled it and the quality that I received. If I get an infection in one of the 6 cuts on my fingers I will definitely be suing.
I am visiting our daughter in Fort Worth. She took me to Onyx for a medí/pedi.I have had both from other establishments from all over the US and abroad. This has been the nicest place I’ve ever been to. When arriving, we were greeted and taken to the station where my service began. The girls that did my nails were friendly and very efficient. Had a delicious beverage while I had my nails done!! Great atmosphere! I would highly recommend! You will love this place!
I’d like to start off that I just had a baby and this was my first bit of relaxation in 2 months. The tech who did my manicure… I would not recommend but unfortunately I didn’t get her name. My cuticles don’t look manicure and the paint job is horrendous. The polish is uneven and doesn’t cover my whole nail in some places. The top coat is just as bad. Photos for proof. The tech who did my pedicure did an AMAZING job though! It was the same polish as my manicure and these photos are proof the problem was the tech and not the polish.
I absolutely do not get my nails done often because I’m a nurse and have to have clean nails. Went with my sister today and I’ve always gotten acrylics with gel on top. Kevin was trying to explain I should just do one of the dip colors and he could put it on the acrylic. I’ve never done this or picked a dip color of any kind so o was confused and he was beyond impatient and rude with me and multiple times said “just forget it, she’s not going to get it”. My sister said he’s usually extremely booked out with people whom come all the time or know exactly what they want so she was unsure why he picked me up, but for whatever reason he did. I got finished and two or three of my nails had blemishes, and the front desk lady had to fix them before I left because I didn’t dare ask him. The only reason for the two stars and not one is because of the tasty complimentary cocktail. If I come back I’ll be requesting to not go to him.
I visited this nail shop and had a horrible experience. The nail tech who was assigned to do my nails was completely incompetent. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails. She preceded to do what I had shown her. My nails looked nothing like the picture, so I stopped her and said, no you will have to correct this. She got up walked in the back room to speak with one of the other workers she must have told them something derogatory about me. Next thing I know, she started crying like the biggest baby ever, imagine my confusion...this was so unprofessional on so many levels. If she couldnt do my nails, someone more capable could have stepped in but that didnt happen. Instead the manager said you leave and dont come back here. Mind you , my nails are completely unfinished. I couldnt believe I was treated this way at a nail shop. Needless to say this place is extremely unprofessional, rude and ridiculous. I would NOT recommend anyone to come here. There is NO customer service at all.And theres no telling when someone will spontaneously have an emotional breakdown🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Terrible customer service, extremely rude staff. I went in for a refill on a set I already had on (white powder). When I sat down the lady asked me if I wanted acrylic refill with black shellac, and agreed to do them as she files down all my nails on my right hand as you can see in the pic. My other hand was untouched due to the oh so rude lady with the mid length bob comes over and tells her something in their language. She proceeds to tell me i can’t get my nails the way I wanted them and that I have to follow her way, I told her I was a paying customer and to please give me what we agreed on. She then says she doesn’t care if I’m the customer and told the girl doing my nails to stop and I need to leave! MEANWHILE my nails are ruined because she was in the midst of doing them. I didn’t leave, we called the police to sort things out. They took an hour to get there. I tried to reason with the other manager once things simmered down and he wasn’t trying to hear me out! I too own a beauty salon in Houston and would never treat any paying customer so poorly! The whole staff was so nasty about the situation and I literally did nothing to receive such disgusting behavior! The police did nothing and I had to leave with my nails like in the picture! Terrible terrible experience. Never will visit them again!
Im from NY but come down to the area every 6 months or so and this is always on my list of places to go. The services are fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect
This place will cut you until you bleed and not bat an eye at it.Pedicure was nice but service made the experience difficult to relax
I have been going here since they opened. I drive from about 35-40 mins to get here and cant imagine attempting to find a place closer. The experience you get here is like no other. From the moment you walk into the doors there is a welcoming and relaxing feeling. The staff are delightful and there is even a large variety of free drinks. I recently got married and was able to convenience my husband to join me the morning of our wedding to get my nails done and his hands cleaned up, he is a mechanic. I got a solar ombre set done with a manicure and he got a manicure and neck massage. I have attached a picture of our hands from later that evening at our wedding. Needless to say, he now wants to join me every time I go to the salon. I continuously praise and recommend this place to all my family, friends, and coworkers.
We had the worst experience at this salon! My daughter and I both got our eyebrows waxed and they did a horrible job on my daughters which we had to fix later and barely spent anytime on mine. We both got pedicures and nails and had the rudest people doing our nails. It wasn’t relaxing! We spent over $250 for our services for my daughters nails to completely fall off in 4 days which I paid extra for detailed nail art. The people who were servicing us also were more concerned with talking and laughing with each other clearly talking about my daughters nails the whole time because they kept mentioning the shape and etc in English. They were also commenting on the length of my nails because I keep them short. The lady was also very rough doing my nails. I will NEVER step foot in this place again! Just terrible!!
LOVE them !! Vivian was amazing definitely my favorite nail salon!
I’ve been coming here for 6 years - always friendly and great service! I love bringing our out of town guests here for a special treat & my daughter loves joining too! Highly recommend!
The first time me and Vero went to this location the service was excellent, maybe because we spent more money. Today, the service was not so good. They were not welcoming and we felt rushed. They did not even give us enough time to choose our colors and we even had to ask for our “complementary” drink. And when i got home, my toe cuticle was bleeding. My finger nails were not even cleaned on the sides and the cuticles were not cut properly… Not sure if we will return
My mom, sister, and I needed a last minute appointment as we had a funeral to attend the next day. They knocked out 3 pedicures and 2 full dip sets in an hour and had a full drink bar available. We were all absolutely in love with how beautiful our nails turned out- we all regularly get them done so we’re a bit picky. I’m seriously so happy with the service and our nails! Thanks Onyx!
All of the nail techs here are AMAZING at their jobs!!! They have a complementary full bar that is spectacular! This is the best nail salon I have been to! Highly recommend!!
I agree with the other person that said that all it has going for them is decor and drinks. I got an acrylic full set and paid $30 and a nail broke the next day. I go in on June 5th and they do not even take off the old nail. All they did is put on acrylic powder over the old stuff. The new acrylic does not even match the shape of my other nails. I seriously wish I could get my money back. The nail is thick and clunky. It feels heavy. Will not go back ever.
I had my mani/pedi Friday by Monday both nails on my big toe were broken, obviously went back to get it fixed and was charged $10, the lady who works the from desk always has a nasty attitude ALWAYS…. I stopped going here because of the service and this visited me remember why… quality of service is horrible and never feel welcomed… if there were true competition in the area, no one would be at this location.
Justin did an amazing job on my toes and gave the best massage!
This was my 1st time visiting this shop. It was a somewhat busy Saturday afternoon. But the shop had a lot of staff. I received a dip manicure without tips and a pedicure. The ladies that performed my services were very engaged in their own conversations. The person doing my nails nicked me twice with no remorse or regard. I still have clumps of dip powder under my nails due to her lack of clean up. I also got the impression that the person doing the pedicure didnt want me to get the hot stone massage and the dip nail lady chimed in saying the wax was better. Worst nail experience I have ever had. Toe nails paint job looks as if my 7 year old niece did it. It is so hard finding good nail salons with great customer service.
I felt cared for and my nails were beautiful! Everyone there is so nice and professional
I’ve been going to onyx for a couple of years . I had bad experience for the first time they did such a bad job. I went back to get my nails Re done they were horrible. They re did them but did not communicate to me until they were done with a new set of nails that I had to pay for the service again . That’s not right why should I have to pay again . I will not be going back . They just lost a customer.
I went today and they was rushing on my nails and toes . I asked him to do it a certain way and he proceeded to do it the way he wanted to ! It was a couple besides me and they took their time to do theirs both of them was rushing to do mines ! I feel like it’s some type of racism there & I will NEVER EVER go back ! They charge for EVERYTHING ! If I’m paying $114 for my toes and nails why would I have to pay $18 for Jel twice ? If I’m paying you to do my nails and toes why not do it right ? It’s like I’m paying them to rush ! And he was jerking my hand repeatedly I didn’t want to be rude to say anything plus this is my first time going ! I feel like just because I’m BLACK doesn’t mean you have to rush or treat me differently I still tipped but I will never go back ! Then I’m from out of town so it’s crazy that nail shops down here doesn’t treat you like the nail shops from home do !
This is mostly my husbands spot, but the service, ambiance, and experience are unmatched. I love it here.
I went to get my nails done here with my sister yesterday. We both wanted to get a design on our nails. My sister wanted lines on the edges of her nails, to which her nail tech said would be a total of $45 +$30. For some simple line which she ending up opting out of but regardless of this ended up paying $45 for dip mani, +5.00 for added tip nails, +5.00 for the shaping of said added nails and off course the actual tip.My experience was a bit different, but not really. I got a dip mani. I wanted a design on each ring finger. The design was a hispanic embroidery floral look design and a pink pedi I think that was the name. My pedi was ok, nothing more, nothing less. The man doing my Mani dip was kind. However, cut or open skin with the file or nail trimmers a total of 5 times. I was unaware of a few of these until I put hand sanitizer to disinfect the 2 that I was aware of at the end. As he was doing the design I noticed his confidence go down as he struggled to make the floral pattern and by the time he finished he asked if this is OK I quickly glaced and said it was fine. I didnt really take the time to examine the look till after I left (that was my mistake). He asked me to pay while I waited for my toes to dry so I asked how much it was going to be and he quoted the price of the nails to be the $45 for dip mani + $10 for the design plus the $42 for the pedi + plus I added the $20 tip 10 for each technician. As we headed out of the nail salon, I washed my hands, and then I sanitized after, this was when I realized the other small skin openings which prompted me to pay more attention to my nails and design. I then realized it was poorly made and looked not great, to put it kindly. I then told my sister Ill just get over it (Also my mistake) and went to run our next errand. However, after we where done with our errands about 2 hrs later I decided to go back and ask for them to remove the design and a refund. I am not a confrontational person, for many reasons, so I said please dont hate me but can you please remove the design I dont think its well made and can I please have a refund, for the design. The lady that helped me removed the design but didnt remove the dust before putting the glossy coat of nail polish on so its a bit grainy. She left me there, waiting for it to dry without saying a word. I waited a while, not knowing what to do. I touched my nails, and it was dry, so I headed to the front desk. The same lady asked if it was dry, I said yes. I asked for the $10 refund. She said she couldnt give it back because the person had done the design, I in response said I dont think its right or fair for me to pay for something that I didnt end up with. I asked her to wait a moment, pulled out my phone, and showed her what I wanted. She then realized that it was nowhere near the end look, but still she said sorry I cant refund you, but I can give you a $10 gift card to use next time. By this point I was upset and in my head said why would I even comeback here when both my sister and I did not get what we initially wanted, I got all these cuts and knicks and it is clear that they are shady and dishonest. I also didnt want to fight for $10.00 so I said you know what Im good. Turned and left. You may ask why, then did you write this novel of a review? Well, the more I think about it, its the money grab for me. The actual fact is that I paid for something I did not receive, and if I did that, I wonder how many more people do that 10 + 10 adds up quick. I wasnt even asking for a full refund I just wanted what was fair because in my mind I was interested in giving them a second chance. The money hungry attitude killed that for me. As a person that works in the beauty industry, I have delt with difficult customer, and know how hard that can be so I avoid being that person to my loss. HOWEVER, In the couple times in my 12 yr career, I have had an unhappy customer. I have either not charged at all or refunded completely for the service, which is the right thing to do. Thats just my point of view.
Kayla and Van did my my nails and toes and they both did an EXCELLENT job! Everybody that I met that worked there was incredibly nice! It was a truly enjoyable experience! I can’t wait to go back!
On Thurs 4/6/23 myself & my daughterhad pedi/gel mani at Onyx Nail Bar at the Alliance location. It was a dreadful experience. My nails looks terrible!I spent a pedi $36 gel mani $39 plus $9 tip and my daughter total for both services was $115 plus the tip she left. You would think it was relaxing but not within the hour service was completed.I really dislike getting manicure in the pedi chair. The 2 in one theory is not for me. I want to enjoy the pedi and the massage chair. Not holding pillow while one tech works on you nails, soak, file all the while, crossing over my arms in an uncomfortable position to accommodate the tech to his job while I am juggling the lamp on my lap.We came together so we could be pampered & enjoy a service that should of taken at least 2 hours but they zipped us right through within an hour. Also the 4 technicians were talking & laughing and it was rude I didn’t want to be entertained by staff. Very poor customer service. We were extremely disappointed. The staff rushes everyone and after we returned home I notice both my nails & toenails is a space looking like it was time to get nails done again. It has been 3 days & the services doesn’t match the cost. It way too expensive for the type of service we received.I plan to report to BB.Very disappointed customer
I did not have an appointment. Went there after deciding not to continue my business with a different salon and I needed a few nail repairs and change of length. I decided to just get a whole new set. I had the absolute pleasure of having Sabrina as my nail technician. She did a fantastic job. She was extremely friendly and she smiled so much through her mask. I didnt expect to have such a nice experience but it was wonderful. Please consider choosing this salon before returning to others or trying a new one. The stations were very clean. The bar was stocked with all of the drinks or types of drinks you can desire. That gentleman was super sweet as well. If I could give it 12 stars I would. Go there and ask for Sabrina or if shes not available im sure anyone would definitely provide an excellent customer service experience. Sabrina is off on Tuesday and Sunday! Book your salon experience now!!!!
Do not allow KEVIN to do your nails. Right after settling the bill, he decided to insult me in their language and they all laughed at the counter. Mind you I even gave him a tip! Never again! He did not even bother to file down my nails. They are thick and bumpy. I guess he was rushing to get done with me so he could get another tip. He doesn’t take his job seriously and very rude. He’s got a stinking attitude!
One of the best nail experiences I have had in a while.Totally worth a visit!
I always have such a wonderful experience at Onyx! Kelly is an amazing and talented nail tech! She goes above and beyond to create beautiful nails!
Always our families go to place for nails. They always do a great job and take pride in what they do. I truly enjoy Mai and usually request her when we go. She does a great job on my pedicure.
Two failed attempts at my gel pedicure. The lady was about to go for a third and ignored me when I asked if there was a problem. I had been there for 2 hours at this point. No apology, and I was yelled at by front desk staff when I asked for a discount because I was not staying for a third attempt at my gel pedicure. Still not sure what the problem was. Will NEVER go back.
I absolutely love this place and have been going here for over 3 years now. I always leave feeling so relaxed and confident with my great looking toes and nails. I even drive over 30mins to get there because when you find your favorites who do great work it’s worth it. I see Kelly, Tien, or Angela for my nails and Rachel and Vi for my toes. They are all so amazing at what they do and you can’t go wrong having any of them. I highly recommend this place for their hard work and great customer service!!!
Megan did my nails and they were the messiest nails I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place. Bellagio is behind them and they were able to clean up her mess. I’m so disappointed and the fact she yelled at me while the other techs laughed. I’m glad she was able to get a joke out of the situation, while I sat there and cried. Never ever again ...
The only place I go for mani/pedis. Every single nail tech I have had has been great! The staff is all so friendly and helpful. We usually have 3 to 6 in our party and have never had a problem getting a reservation for mani/pedis. Onyx Nail Bar Alliance has been our group’s favorite nail spot for almost 2 years.
Great service and atmosphere…. Love Megan to do my pedicure regularly. Free bar btw…
Been going here for years everyone is so friendly, I always give them silly pictures to go off and the succeed expectations
Came here last night for a last minute appointment. They closed at 5:30, but had an appointment for 4:45. Upon doing my nails the gentleman (didnt get a name) that was doing them was rude and yanked my hand and arm around during the whole thing. He rushed the nails and when grinding off the old dip, the machine was getting hot and I kept telling him it hurt, but he kept on. When shaping my nails he filed so hard that he cut into three of my fingers. When he put alcohol on them to finish off the dip I told him it was burning. He said oh, you have a small cut. Well yeah cause you cut me!! He proceeded to do nothing about it. I will not be coming back.
I’ve been here twice and both times this place sucked. Let me start off by saying that the lady with the mid bob up front is RUDE. The receptionist, Maybe owner or manager, not sure. But I’ve seen her get an ugly attitude with numerous customers both times I’ve came here. She’s not polite, she is not professional unless you’re a frequent known customer I guess. She doesn’t greet the customers and just taps on the pad to sign in. That’s the major issue, other than that they need to do some real cleaning in this place. I did not see not one person sanitizing and the guy cleaning was barely even whipping anything down correctly. That bar is really what’s bringing people in to this place and that’s just not enough for me. The bartender always looks bored and unhappy sitting there. Go to Day spa nails in lake worth instead. All the girls there are A1 and the manager is super nice and funny. Ask for Chi or Kelly, they’re my favorite. 6628 Lake Worth Blvd, Lake Worth 76135. They’ll take good care of you and they also serve wine and delicious margaritas.Reverie Nail & Spa on Bailey Boswell in Saginaw is also amazing. They’re all about customer satisfaction and the manager himself keeps your cup filled.
Clean and friendly. This will be my new spot to get my nails done. The service was kind and efficient. In and out in under an hour for a mani-pedi.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!!My cousin and I went a year ago for a pedicure and it was great. I brought my friend here last weekend and we both enjoyed our pedicures, but I have never seen such ugly manicures in my life. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of how nasty they were. The guy doing my nails did not shape them, he used the nail dry instead of the clear coat on some so 4 of my nails were matte and the others were half shinny and half matte. My nails looked streaky (it was supposed to be dip) and they were all textured. Not one nail looked the same as the other and all were different lengths. He didn’t do anything to my cuticles. I paid because I felt bad, but when I sat in my car I was in tears as was my friend. We could not believe how bad our nails were. We walked back inside and asked for them to remove them and for a refund on the nails because we did like the pedicures. We let the ladies who did our pedicures keep the full tip. The manager did not want to give us a refund. She called the two guys over who did our nails. My guy threw his hands in my face and walked away angry. The manager even said mine looked bad and said she would refund me. My friends guy got in her face, towered over her, and yelled at her. The manager had to hold him back. The manager refused to give my friend a refund. After a constant back and forth we were both awarded gift cards because they refused to put the money back on our cards. Luckily someone gave us cash for the gift cards and we left to get our nails fixed. Dream Spa Nails was AMAZING. They are located on 377/Denton Highway. Please do NOT go to Onyx Nail Bar. I should’ve listened to all the bad reviews. I beg you, do not waste your time at Onyx. Thank you Dream Spa Nails for fixing my nails. By far one of the best manicures ever. I will not go back to Onyx even for a pedicure as I feel it is an unsafe environment because both of the men were close to getting physical with us. I wish I could give this 0 stars.
POC, BEWARE! Blatant stereotyping is their standard practice. Twice in a row, Ive made an appointment and gone with my best friend. She was a regular, but after seeing the way I was treated on two consecutive occasions, she will not be going back.Twice, I was left alone to soak in acetone and take off my dip powder. However, Onyx still charged for nail removal. Most recently, they upcharged me for getting long nails, but my nails are standard length. When I complained, they offered me a $5 gift card for the inconvenience. Heres the thing: I am never going back to an establishment that charges me more expecting that I wont tip (I usually tip at least 20%).
I just left this store. It was my first time coming in. The guy at the front desk was not welcoming. The first thing when i barely walked through the door was sign in. I told him I wanted to look at their prices first then he tells me to grab a menu and sit down I told him I dont want to just sit down. A white lady walked in after me and he greeted her ask her how is she doing and he didnt tell her not once to sit down with a menu. These racist bias people will for now on be confronted. I told him I will go someplace else where i am properly welcomed.
Stacy is the best! I have been doing my nails for over a year and she is truly amazing. Love the environment and service.
Tools were not clean and I was cut 2 times to the point of bleeding.
I am giving 2 stars because my pedicure was actually decent. But everything else about my experience in this nail salon was TERRIBLE. The tech that did my nails didn’t even acknowledge me when she first came over, and was RUDE and had an attitude after I told her I didn’t want a nail tip. So unprofessional! Save your money and go elsewhere!
David did such a good job my nails. He didn’t rush, didn’t cut me (previous experience from other salons), and they look great. I didn’t have an appointment and they got me seated within just a couple minutes.
Best place in town!! Super clean & sweet, amazing, talented staff. High recommend Stacy for the best pedicure ever ❤️
Ivy is the best. She is very detailed and always wants to make sure my nails are heathy! Best Manicures and Pedicures!
Great Atmosphere and bar selection. Many color options. I’ve been going regularly for about 6 months service is inconsistent as well as prices, it all depends on the nail tech who service you. The sheet states one price then tech add additional fees at the end and when ask for explanation tech has attitude and claim you were told. I would recommend sticking with the same tech once you fine one you like.
Best nail place in North Fort Worth! From Mai to Sarah to Mason to Hoang. Honestly all the nail techs are amazing you WON’T leave disappointed!
I totally enjoy getting a pedicure at this place. Its decorated quite lovely, very contemporary, and a very light interior. The front desk staff are always very nice. I like the fact that the same young lady that does my pedicures always takes her time and never rushes me, and always wants to make sure I am very satisfied with my pedicure before I leave. My breathing is unable to tolerate the strong chemical fumes from the artificial nail area, so they are always very accommodating and seat me at the farthest end of the building where the fumes do not bother me. A great place to get a manicure and a pedicure; I highly recommend them.
Update:POC, BEWARE! Blatant stereotyping is their standard practice. Twice in a row, Ive made an appointment and gone with my best friend. Heres the thing: I am never going back to an establishment that charges me more expecting that I wont tip (I usually tip at least 20%).(Previous Review from 3 years ago)I went to try this place out with a friend. She has specific people she goes to and had been raving about it. I get there and Im not impressed with the ambiance. They remind me of Spirit Airlines where they pack as many chairs as they can into the space. There was nothing relaxing about the environment and in my opinion, thats part of the reason we spend money to get pampered. They do offer a wide variety of complimentary drinks, but they are not served with a smile, you get one, and they are weak. As for my nail services, my cuticles were not trimmed properly so when he applied the gel polish, it created a lip at the base of my nail which cause the polish to start peeling in less than a week. For the price they charge, I should have perfect nails for 3 weeks.
Stacy did my nails yesterday and she was very sweet and easy to talk to! I would 100% recommend her she did an amazing job! I will be going back to her again!
I have been here multiple times and never had a bad experience. I love coming for both Manicures and Pedicures. The staff is amazing. The facility is very clean and the raspberry and hibiscus tea is awesome. It has a very chill atmosphere and everyone makes you feel like youre the most important thing.
Everyone was so polite and they really take there time with you! I received the best massage and left feeling more relaxed than I have ever felt from any of the other places Ive ever been to!
I was going to post a review as soon as I left...but decided to wait and calm down. So today marks one week exactly I got a dip and. Y daughter just got the kids Manicure. Let me start by saying the girl doing our nails did great with my daughter. BUT! With me it seemed she was trying to set a new record on finishing time. She hurt me, cut me multiple times. Let’s just say it was not an enjoyable experience. As of today (exactly one week) the nails re already lifting in the back....just. One. Week! I Amy go back for a pedicure but. Ever for nails. It was brutal....I’m not even joking ...I still have the cuts to prove it. She knew she did wrong. Bcuz when she asked me to wash hands she was gone when I turned around. .... station cart and all. Will never do nails there again.
While the service was great, people were nice and courteous. The place was very clean and they were constantly cleaning after every guest. Im now having to dispute the charges on my card. I was charged $80 for eyebrow tint, pedicure with French tip, I tipped in cash. After I received my receipt and left the nail bar my when my card finally settled the services I had been charged $17 more than what I had originally paid total $97. So now I am having to dispute the charges luckily I kept my receipt. I recommend that you pay with cash when you visit this salon.
Nina ruined my experience just seen her unprofessional service w a lady wanting nails done she was loud didn’t give paying customer what she wanted and very rough with doing her nails. Nina needs to be re trained ! The most sad part the lady was on a handicap equipment! No customer service at all I will never come back or refer anyone else to come here!
Angela absolutely KILLS my nails every time I see her. I never leave disappointed. If I bring an inspo picture in she can do it, or if I give her creative freedom. Shes great!
If you dont drink, you wont get your moneys worth. They do rush and the $60+ pedicure I got was mediocre, at best. I brought in a picture of the colors I wanted for my nails and they were no help in finding them, so I had to hurry and choose in the crammed spot where everyone picks their colors. They also upcharge pretty significantly for everything. Its a shame because the facility itself is VERY nice and clean. For a service that is not a necessity, especially during these times, there is too much competition not to be happy with what you get after dropping 200 bucks.
I had an appointment yesterday, and had to wait 40 min before anyone was available to do my nails. When I notified the owner that I had been waiting 40 min and I had an appointment that I was on time for, he said well we are very busy, and have had a lot of walk ins. I stated that I had an appointment, and appointments should have time allotted for them. He abruptly told me to go there was someone ready for me now. He was very dismissive, and unapologetic. The technician doing my nails rushed so fast she cut my cuticle with the drill, and just left it bleeding as she dipped my nails in the powder. She finished my dipped nails in 30 min. It usually takes 45 min- an hour.
I’ve been going to this salon for over a year and I like the service here. The person I highly recommend the most is Steven. He is my go to nail guy for manicures! Every time I get a compliment I tell people I come to Onyx Nail Bar in Alliance and the nail tech; his name is Steven. What I love the most he is VERY GENTLE on the nails, especially when using the nail drill, and taming cuticles with the cuticle cutters. He always makes my nails look gorgeous!!! And they last for a long time as well. When he does my nails, they don’t lift/pop off. That’s why I always go to him. I usually come here every 2-3 weeks.I get the basic straight up manicure (I don’t really do massages on the back like that, and all the extra stuff. However if you happen to like those things my mum recommends those extra services, she goes here as well and she enjoys them.*)For pedicures I do the pink cosmo and I recommend Hanna. She’s very delicate on the feet. Doesn’t scrub too hard, but gets the dead skin off. Oh I love their massage chairs by the way. They feel great.Overall this is where I go for beauty for my services when it comes to manicures and pedicures. I think this place is reasonable price for the quality I get.
I love coming here to get my nails done, would 100% recommend! nina does an amazing job everytime!!
The best place ever!!! Been going for years weekly & will not go anywhere else! Reserve Mimi or Leon! The bartenders, employees & management! THE BEST!! Can’t not say enough good about this place!
I’ve been going here for several years consistently for dip nails. Today I unfortunately got a technician named Sonny. He was extremely rude and argumentative when I asked for a third dip- which I ALWAYS get because my nails are thin and I don’t want them to break. He continued to argue for several minutes to the point in which I said just get this over with. Ive never had a technician act that way. Absolute terrible customer service and they don’t care. Upon check out I talked to the manager and explained and she said I sorry honey and could care less. I explained I have been coming here for several years and that she is going to lose business and she didn’t care. Didn’t even say she was going to talk to him or offer anything to keep my business. Absolutely do NOT recommend. Terrible customer service!!
Last few times I’ve been here had been pretty good for the most part and I normally go to whoever never had a specific person but this last experience was not the best, I asked for a black French tip and it was done pretty poorly, the nude they used was far to dark for my skin tone and French cut out was very pointy instead of curved like a traditional French tip should be. Also the French cut was poorly done, it just wasn’t clean work and staff seemed to always be in a rush because I’ve over booking.
Its a rush rush for the customer from the moment you walk in. Will not come back. The lady that helped me cut her finger with the drill before she started working with my nails and she tried to blame me. I pointed out to her that she was bleeding that perhaps she needed to wash her hands and wear gloves and she just ignored me and continued working with my nails. I didnt feel comfortable with her technique and leaving her blood on my hands. I was never disrespectful and did give her a good tip but didnt like the way she handled poor technique and contamination.
My mom has gone here multiple times but never again. The most recent time she wanted a design on 3 of her acrylic nails and the stylist threw a fit and left for a bit before coming back. She was completely shocked. She had told them in advance when she made the appointment she would need extra time for a design so it wasn’t like it was a surprise. When they stylist came back he started talking about how no one there likes to do designs because it takes time and they can see more clients?! They then told her after her nails were already ground down that the new cost would be $140!! How dare you force someone into paying outrageous prices after work has been started and a price had already been told. She paid it since she didn’t have a choice, they’d already been working on her nails so it wasn’t like she could leave. She won’t be back and neither will I. Throwing fits and changing the price after work is started is beyond unprofessional.
They were a little short with me when I first came in and gave little direction as to how they operate (told me to pick out colors, then giggled at me when I took the bottles with me like I have at every nail salon Ive ever been to), but from that point everything was great. She helped me pick out colors, the complimentary drink selection is awesome, I was asked multiple times if I was happy, and I walked out with an amazing ombre on nails (see Sonny....hes GREAT). I checked out with the the same girl who helped me at the beginning and she was super nice so it is easy to overlook the minor hiccup at the beginning. Great place, I plan to return every two weeks ☺️
First time going today and we ended up walking out as we were picking out our nail colors. Everything was so dirty. The floors, rugs, nail polish shelves and the plastic dividers on the manicure tables. We didn’t go further than the nail polish area so I can’t say what the pedicure chairs were like. If they can’t keep the main areas clean, it doesn’t give me much confidence that everything behind the scene is clean and sanitized.
My tech did a decent job (I’ve had better), the environment is nice and clean and the decor is gorgeous! However, I felt rushed and the customer service at the front counter was not good. They’re price for gel polish (+18) is nearly equal to the cost of an acrylic fill ($20) which is too high in my opinion.
I LOVE this place! So glad I found it after moving to Fort Worth. I have never left dissatisfied. Kelly and Karen are THE BEST!
Jackie did an amazing job on my nails. I asked for gel and she was very precise and detailed with my nails. Would highly recommend.Update: went back for a dip manicure today. The service overall was sub-par and the guy that did my nails was very aggressive. Definitely makes me question going back.
We had to wait a while for a group walk in for pedicures. Other than that service was AMAZING. Be sure to get the massage with your manicures and hot stones they are like professional masseuses! Free drinks with two free drink limits and they were so tasty. Highly recommend the cucumber martini. Perfection!!
This nail bar is terrible. Been there multiple times simply for the convenience of the location and I finally decided I would rather drive further down the road than go here. Upon walking in, you’ll be greeted by a unprofessional receptionist that has the worst attitude. She always seems hungover and annoyed by any customer. She’d rather be on her phone and doing her makeup at the counter than greet you or help get you checked in. The nails techs are mediocre at best with style and design. I never left happy with my nails or service.
Tiffany always takes her time on my sensitive toes and provides an amazing experience during my pediicure and manicure time.John always does a great job on my daughters pedicure as well. They both take their time and are gentle. THANK YOU!!Salon and all services and employees are always on point.
I have been going there for close to a year and loved them. A bit more pricey than some places, but good. My 16 yo daughter went in without me and she was charged 50% more than what the nails should have cost her. She was over charged simply because she didn’t know how much it should have been. I’ll never go back!
Onyx nail bar in Alliance is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to. The customer service alone was over the top. I was greeted by the co owner and he was so personable, and by the nicest receptionist who explained all of our options by brake down. Their prices for what you get exceeds any nail salon in the area and plus the 30% off for the grand opening its a steal of a deal. Not to mention the AMAZING atmosphere of having a clean modern open space with a full service bar and signature drinks. I wont be going anywhere else to get pampered besides Onyx from now on!!!❤️
Horrible service!!! Had pedicure the lady was super distracted and rushing through it. Looking at everyone there. Cut my big toe. Had a phone call during it. Then got up and left for a while. Very unprofessional there. My fiancée had stuff left on the back of her legs. Don’t go there.
DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS NAIL SALONI just had an appointment with this location and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I have previously been coming here and was fond of the place. I requested a nail tech named Mason and he BROKE MY NAIL and proceeded to tell me it was the same as my two thumb nails that were already broken prior to me coming into the shop. When he broke my nail it hurt too and he didn’t even apologize because he tried to cover it up and say it was already broken.I was given a new nail tech that was a man for my pedicure and he was horrible and did not know wear anything was in the salon and had to get up multiple times to grab things from the back. The salon itself is updated but the people there do not last long on how sweet and kind they are.Tip to the store: Don’t have closing people that do not want to work.
Its a very busy nail salon. Came in 10 min after opening & waited 40 min to be seated. The service was good, pedicure was very nice & we enjoyed that drinks are offered during the waitI do wish when you check in they let you know the wait time so I can decide if I can make the wait or not.
So I spent 2 hours at this place getting a full set put on. After she finished shaping my nails she said “you like it thin right”. I told her no, I really need them durable. I don’t care about the natural look.” She completely ignored me and just kept going on with the process. She said it’s going to be 60$ for everything okay? But She couldn’t figure out how to do the design on one of my fingers.. the design she assured me wouldn’t be a problem.. So I told her not to worry about it and to just leave it blank. Well she put some nice diamonds on it and then continued to charge me the full 60$ I was so ready to get out of there I just said okay and left. So I get to my car and I look down at my diamond finger and the paint is fizzing up. So I have to go back in for her to re do the nail. So after another 20 minutes I finally get to leave....I get home and begin to unload some bags out of my car when one of the nails pop off... then I open my kitchen cabinet and another one breaks!!I now have to go back again! I explain to the lady that they are obviously way too thin and that they won’t last... so she starts to fix the broken nails and then she just adds more coats to the others... all except th design nails.. she leaves those!! keep in mind I’m 70$ in and well over 3 hours spent here.. I’m so angry at this point. I will NEVER come back here again. Terrible customer service!
In town for a concert and stopped by for a pedicure and it was great. We walked in and were able to be seen immediately. Highly recommend!
My new favorite salon! My fiance and I went just before closing and they welcomed us, unlike another salon who turned us away despite being there 30 min before closing. Their drinks are phenominal and everyone was very courteous despite being very busy. Definitely dont mind the wait with a great drink in hand and TV entertainment.
My wedding day was 4 days away and my loving in-laws decided to pay for my nails. My mother in law set up an appointment for 6:30 (they closed at 7:30 on Saturdays). I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they said I would have to be up charged for the design. I thought it was weird because I got them done there before and there was a charge but not this high of one. We moved on and I sat down for my pedicure, they lady was super nice and the only good part about my experience. The gentleman doing my mani... not so much. He yanked my hands around and was super rude, when he started working on them I knew something was wrong right way. We were not on the same page with what I wanted. I politely asked him was he was doing and as he explained he got angry. He started to put the wrong color on my nails so I stoped him and showed him the picture, he didn’t get it and got angrier with me and started yelling. I showed another picture and that’s when he understood what I actually wanted. He started shaking his head and speaking in his language. Trying to hold back tears I apologized and he didn’t say anything, just yanked my hand closer to him. I tried to ignore him most of the time, but he kept hurting me. Now for the painting... all the lines in the design were jagged, he completely rushed. I made him fix the worse ones but I was so desperate to get out so after that we paid and left. We got out around 9... Come to find out they still OVER CHARGED for the design they thought I wanted. I came home to my fiancé in tears.
I mean it was okay, my nails look fine. i got dip but the color selection was small, the lady who did my nails completely glued my finger to the fake nail, my nails look a little bubbly, and the dip is just applied bad. one of the tips i had applied was put on too far out and now i have a singular nail thats pointing almost completely downward. ive had much better experiences at aria nail bar.
Oh wow! My first time visiting Onyx Nail Bar. Ive had several friends recommended Onyx and Im SO glad I finally went there! Its a beautiful place. Everyone was SO friendly. I got a complimentary Bloody Mary from the full bar and had a pedicure and dip nails. It was a little expensive, but for the shoulder/neck massage and the collagen treatment that was included, Id say it was worth every penny! Definitely my new favorite nail place!
