I was recently in town on vacation and happened upon this spa on a google search. Turned out to be the best random massage I ever booked! Rebecca was amazing and it was exactly what I needed. One of the best therapeutic massages ever! I felt so loose and relaxed after the massage and Rebecca was able to treat areas I’d been having problems with. I wish I lived closer so I could see her regularly. Not only was the massage fabulous, the facility is beautiful, quiet, and smelled so good. I highly recommend this spa.

I have been coming to Ama Spa for over 2 years. The quality of the services is top-notch! I travel a lot and use spas in US and Europe. Ama is one of the best. Rebecca and Brandon are great. Also, Ama is the only spa in the area ( that I know of) with a proper Finnish sauna.

Yesterday, July 11th, my wife and I celebrated our 9th anniversary with a couples massage from Andrea and Rebecca. I am a massage therapist at Ama Spa as well and I would have nobody else give me and my wife our massages. Our massage therapists are top notch and professional and give excellent, quality massages. Cant say enough great things about Ama Spa, which is why I have been a massage therapist at Ama since 2019.

Got two massages here and both were disturbingly unprofessional. One I was told that because I was a female, the male masseuse did not do the whole massage. The second was about 30min late and the masseuse said she was literally just eating. She then proceeded to touch my chest “showing me where my heart was” and at one point put her forehead on my stomach.Edit in response: I gain nothing from writing this review. The business must report negative reviews to keep their rating high. The incidents were with Brandon and Rebecca during lymphatic massages. The defensive, dismissive, and honestly insulting response prompted me to file a formal complaint. Turns out the owner is the lady I was referring to. She knows what she did and that’s why she responded this way. If anyone else has issues with this place, I suggest you do the same as they are just shutting down people who speak up.

The best facial I’ve ever received by Kelly B. I drove 45 minutes to check out the spa and her skills made it worth a 8 hour drive. I never knew a facial could be this Relaxing. If you are anywhere near this area, treat yourself to a facial by Kelly.

I loved my experience at Ama! Kelly was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I left feeling so relaxed and my skin was glowing. I cant wait for my next facial appointment.

Cannot say enough about this Spa (and staff)! Rebecca is beyond amazing and you can really tell she loves what she does. From the moment you walk into Ama Spa, you automatically feel relaxed and the staff makes sure you are comfortable. While vacationing in Surf City, we had the distinct pleasure of being introduced to AMA Spa by our daughter who arranged a great afternoon for her parents. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by a very pleasant and welcoming person who set the tone for the rest of the visit. We found AMA Spa to be very clean, yet comfortable and relaxing. We used the sauna and the huge private shower before we were treated to a facial and massage. Every service we received was top notch. The staff was thorough and placed us into a state of relaxation that we rarely experience. Thank you and high compliments to AMA Spa for making our day.

I have had a lot of massages and I believe that Becky was definitely one of the best massage therapists. She is very knowledgeable and teaches you things to do at home as well. If I lived in the area I would be going back on a monthly basis!

My husband and I were recently visiting TI and decided to book massages. My therapist was Rebecca, and she was incredible. I only wish I lived closer so I could become a regular client of hers.

Went in for a walk in massage. Having never had a massage, I was nervous. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful. Very calming and relaxing. Rebecca was an amazing massage therapist. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. I will definitely be returning when my travels bring me back to Surf City!

My husband and I went in for a couples massage and loved every minute of it! Rebecca and Brandon are quite good at what they do, customizing the massages to fit our individual needs. My only one qualm is that it did not feel like a true couples massage as our massage tables were quite far from each other. There was a room divider separating us in the beginning and the end of the massage and the only time it was propped open was during the massage itself. We are likely to get massages at this place again, though may opt for individual sessions instead.

Rebecca is amazing! Went in for a Winter Rejuvenation massage and she totally did the job. I went there once before and it was good service but Rebecca was excellent. She catered the aromatherapy to my liking and hit spots I didnt even know were troublesome although I was sore for a couple of days after, totally normal for service received, I felt so much more loosened up and at peace with the results. It will be hard for me to request a massage from anyone else there after this experience but I totally trust her judgment in the people she hires. Cant wait for my next one!

Ama Spa’s Services are some of the best I’ve had anywhere! I come in once a month for Reflexology And the hour and a half massage. Rebecca does an amazing job! I’ve come to Ama for several years. Twice a year I have groups of ladies down to my house at Topsail and we always a schedule special Spa day at Ama with facials And massages. Top quality massage, facial and reflexology services in a lovely environment!

First let me say, everywhere I go, I make it a point to check out the local spas, so I can honestly say I know the difference between a bad, good, and great spa. This spa definitely took my breath away. From the second you enter, youre greeted by the scents of essential oils that begin the relaxation process. The staff take it from there and provide a truly wonderful experience. From the body treatments (the mud wrap is my ABSOLUTE favorite, Rebecca is awesome!), to the massages, nails and hair, youll definitely be treated like the whole world revolves around you. And the products are FABULOUS!!! I always walk out thinking it cant get any better but every time I come back it somehow does. To EVERYONE at Ama Spa, you all are amazing and I love it there!! Keep up the great work you all do. Cant wait for my next visit!!

I have had several massages at Ama, each one being excellent. Last week, I decided to treat myself to a 2 hour relaxation massage with Rebecca. All I can say is WOW! She is very knowledgeable and knows how to hit problem areas. At the end of the 2 hours I was so relaxed I literally felt part of the table!! I can’t wait to return for more!

I work with a corporate company with clinical research organizations and dont get a break very often. My last spa experience was beyond excellent with a deep tissue massage. I have been to multiple spas in NC, and even more in Florida due to work travel. The atmosphere was amazing, service was excellent, the spa was very clean, and it was by far one of the best therapeutic massages I have had in the last 10 years. The owner completed my hour long massage and was extremely professional. I would recommend anyone including friends, family, or colleagues to enjoy the experience at this Spa.

I knew I was in the right hands. My facial was AMAZING and quality of service were top notch. I recently had a massage at Ama, my visit to Ama. The spa itself is attractive and very clean--and larger than it appears from outside! It is a pleasant and restful environment. Maria was my therapeutic masseuse. She was asked me about my goals for the massage and about problem areas in my body. She was extremely skillful, and my neck and cranky back were much helped by her care. Shes a great combination of skilled professional and personal warmth. I highly recommend her.

Cheryl Cavalier.....The best massage I have ever had. The atmosphere was perfect and staff was awesome. Rebecca worked out kinks I never knew I had. I had the reflexology and 1 hour massage. First time for reflexology. Highly recommend. Rebecca knows her stuff for sure. Just wish she were closer. Will definitely schedule the next time we visit Topsail.

This is a luxury spa in all of the sense. The spas menu is truly therapeutic for your individual needs. This is not your typical massage parlor, I am a Physical Therapist from NY so I am in the business I found the clinicians to be knowledgeable, friendly, experienced and most of all listened to my complaints. Ama Spa was an amazing experience offering their therapeutic, relaxing, detoxing, decompressing, polishing services while using only the organic products. By far this was the best deep tissue massage & reflexology I ever had.The spa was immaculate with updated contemporary spa decor and finishes. I will be back and I am going to tell all my friends who live on the North End. Thank you thank you thank you, you make me live longer!

Great space. Everyone is very friendly and I had an amazing massage with Rebecca. She knew just the right spots to reduce my pain. At one point, I told her it felt like she “squeezed” the arthritis out of my finger like toothpaste. I can’t say enough good things.

My husband and I have been booking massages at various locations throughout Topsail Island area for the last 4 years. We were constantly looking for the massage facility that fit our needs. I am thankful to say we have been going to Ama Spa for the last year and couldnt be more pleased. Simply, Rebecca knows her stuff. Now I am not going to say there isnt some deep breathing going on to breathe through the pain because there is some bearable adhesion release. I have come to learn, if you are truly going for massage therapy to help with healing and chronic muscle pain relief, there is going to be some pain involved. But oh my, the relief afterwards! My husband and I both have experienced increased mobility following a massage with Rebecca at Ama Spa, more so than any other therapist weve ever been too. If you want to get your moneys worth and take away the therapeutic benefits of massage, Ama Spa is the place to go. And they offer online booking!

My boyfriend and I are in town for vacation and decided to get a couples massage. We arrived and immediately felt at ease and relaxed. The atmosphere in the spa is perfect to let go of all your stress and worries. Rebecca gave my massage and she was amazing! The way she worked on my tense spots and then moved my limbs to further the release of tension. Brandon gave my boyfriend his massage and he said it was perfect for getting the knots out of his lower back. We will most definitely be back if were in the area again!

I’ve had dozens of massages, but the massage I had from Rebecca was hands down the best. I had the therapeutic massage, which is not a relaxing experience but fixed my body! I stood up after and it my body felt completely realigned. It was not somebody rubbing out a knot here and there but a complete healing experience.Take the two hours and have Rebecca fix your body! Seriously it takes two hours, don’t cheat yourself.

Chronic migraine sufferer, with sitting at desk haunched over a computer client. This place was surprisingly nondescript (located inside a small mall) and unpretentious. Spotlessly maintained without overbearing perfumes, or candles, with music that was just right to help keep you relaxed. Brandon was gracious, and so very careful and attentive. This was the second masseuse that was able to put me to sleep, and Ive had many. Two hours, plus hot stone treatment. There was only one thing that clouded the experience, something was being power washed close by, it roused me from my slumber at least twice, though I instantly fell out again. Not sure if this is an Everyday occurrence, so perhaps inquire. Enjoy one of their organic teas, a hot shower, etc and a leisurely beach day afterwards. Thank you guys.

Spur of the moment massage. My mother in law and I were seen within the hour. Keri R. was my masseuse. Top notch! As a clinical assistant in an orthodontic practice, I have a lot of tension in my neck and hands. Keri targeted my specific needs and really helped to relieve that tension. The atmosphere is VERY relaxing, very clean. Staff are very professional. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

The combination on lightly scented creams and oils was heavenly.Then on for a mani/pedi. Lori is fantastic. No harsh treatment here either.Every cream and oil is organic! I will definitely return. Had major neck and shoulder issues for over 6 months. After the sauna and massage treatment, I had immediate relief. Today (the next day) my pain is still gone. Amazing environment and I will definitely be getting regular massages there. I would actually consider it a treatment instead of a massage. Amazing work.

So I am a travel nurse and I review places Ive been. This is one review I look forward to writing. I have used this place for massage, body wrap and today a facial.IF you want to be pampered and treated like royalty, this is the place you wanna go!!Brandon gives an amazing massage. When you first see him hes a big guy and my first thought was oh gosh I dont know if I can handle deep tissue today. Well he genuinely listens and gives pressure you need. He finds spots and isnt afraid to use tools to relax the knots and get you feeling better and free from pain you didnt even know you had. Hes amazing!Rebecca (I think I spelled that wrong) is amazing! Yes Im going to use amazing a lot. She did my body wrap. And she has magic hands, like for real magic hands! There arent words to describe her abilities. She seriously did one move on my neck (not even relating to massage) just finishing up my wrap! And I swear lightening shot down both my legs and it was great, it was religious. I felt so aligned I cant even begin to describe it!Now Karen! I had a facial today and let me just tell you, I thought Id had a facial before and I told her I wanna change my answer. Ive never had a facial like this! She had me feeling like a 20 year old. My skin is almost 51 and its sundamaged and its been through it. I am pretty selective and picky about my massage therapists and who can work on my tough body. After years of showing horses and taking hard knocks, if someone does not know the origin of the muscle and how to properly treat the area and reduce pain, they cant help. I recently lost my beloved massage therapist after 10 years. I have known Rebecca for more years. She has the know how to treat pain and relieve symptoms through all the muscle origins. She has recently done three therapeutic massages for me and has helped relive pain in my neck and wrist. She is definitely worth the hour drive! She is top notch and takes her time to work on any muscle/tendon issues you may have. Thank you Rebecca.

BOWSAGE!! Let me till you this is amazing! I had been having a lot of sciatica pain for years and more so lately.i went and saw Rebecca, and she explained to me about BOWSAGE , and the great results other clients have had. Not gonna lie I was a bit skeptical about this, however I did it,and let me just say I got up off her table and had not 1 oz of pain, I think I had the biggest smile on my face. It is truly an AMAZING technique. If you have 30 min,pop in to Ama Spa in Surf City and ask for Rebecca she’s the best. P.S. I’m still pain free and it’s been about 3 weeks

I got a haircut while on vacation. Bad idea. First, no one in this facility was wearing a mask. The hairdresser kept asking me if I wanted her to wear one but I felt very uncomfortable making this request....it’s supposed to be MANDATED. My haircut is also horrible. Worst haircut I have had in a long time. Probably would have been better off going to Fantastic Sams. Lastly, their website looks really nice but the facility itself is I a rundown strip mall and not at all the “green spa” experience I was expecting.

I cant say enough about Ama Spa. I was in so much pain in my neck & shoulders. The day I called Rebecca got me right in & worked her magic. She stayed after they closed to make sure my pain was gone. Spa was beautiful & clean. I will be going back!

Spa has a good vibe. The people there are professional and have a lot of passion for what they do. Fair price for all services rendered. Saw some negative posts about them on community pages. From what I can tell it is a a bunch of Karens who mistreated staff and thought they could play victim in order to get revenge. Try it out!

I would say best massage in the area, but it’s the best massage I have ever had. The therapeutic massage REALLY got into the knots I was having issues with. They also carry the Eminence line that I love! This is my new favorite place!

This place has given me a second chance at life.I came to Ama spa out of despairing results from doctors and physical therapists. Im ever and internally grateful for the experiences iv had at the spa.

The first time, the staff was a breath of fresh air. Karen did my special needs daughter and I had a wax service; she was SO polite and even educated us on a few things and we left with more knowledge, nice smooth faces, and samples. I am sure my life and job, and others have been the most stressful ever. So, yeah, my anxiety and stress levels were a bit elevated my first visit. However, from being welcomed by the front desk lady with a smile as soon as we entered and serviced so nicely last month. Truly a WOW experience! I bragged about finding my second home of peace and relaxation.UNTIL two Saturdays ago, on May 29th, 2021. I purchased a Couples & Friends Massage 60 min session as part of my daughters graduation present. A bonding opportunity and something I thought would be cool for us both to experience for the first time. We arrived early to an empty desk. We talked loud enough to be heard, hoping it would bring someone to the front to check us in... About 5-8 minutes later, a young girl arrives. Incredibly low tone and seemed to be a bit timid... No WOW welcome this time time. Oh well... Anyway, she proceeded to ask if this was our first massage and I told her yes and paperwork was handed over.As we fill it out, another lady comes in, and they begin to go over what I assumed is my previous record of visit. A bit dry personality at the time and unwelcoming. This only increased my anxiety and started to annoy me a bit, but I fought through it for my daughters sake and continued to be in my excited good mood. Trying to smile and break the ice did not help.A little later we met the other masseuse Brandon who showed some friendliness and warmth compared. However, neither were truly clear or informative. Our paperwork that I am sure was not glanced at, clearly stated that this was our first time among a few other helpful info... We were asked a few questions as if we were regulars, given half instructions neither one of us really heard and grasp then left in the room puzzled...So, the correct response is not, come on ladies, I got other people after you, take your necklace off when I stepped out to ask and understand what to do next. Despite my annoyance going to another level, I still politely ask if we were to get completely undress, how completely, get on the table like this??? Response – Uh huh, yeah, and out the door she went...I continued to smile, hoping it kept my daughter, who was already nervous, in good spirits. The massage was okay. The mood was thrown off, and I really did not want to continue. I remember a moment when Brandon had to tell me to just relax while the whole time I am thinking back on our overall visit to that point.Afterward, we got dressed, given a glass of water, taken to a room to sit...and sit? No further instructions were given except Brandon telling me to drink plenty of water throughout the day. My daughters massage gave us a fake smile and disappeared with Brandon.After a little while, Once again, I had to ask...what is next? I ask the front desk lady, who told us we are good. I am the older generation, but I assumed that meant we were done. We were rung up, and I thought it was prepaid already. Ask her a question about that and was ignored. By that time, she and the overall mood was so awkward; I just looked at my daughter, just said goodbye and walked out.Needless to say, neither of us was impressed and wished we sought another place or even a chiropractor. I feel like I threw almost $200 in the trash and SO glad I did not invest the $1500 another one of their services like I started to.

My 13 year old daughter had a mani/pedi today and after only an hour, the polish is already coming off. This is such a disappointment since we spent over$80 for both services.

The staff made me feel like I was the only one there and their focus was on my experience. The products were top of the line and available for purchase. Love, love love this spa.
