Mi Amor - Hottest Latin Club in Downtown Houston

I recently came in from out of town and decided to check this place out. I normally don’t like the loud music but this place knew how to work their music. I’m pretty basic for my drink selection but the staff was very nice. I ended up getting a bottle it was priced at 150$ but after tax and tip it did go higher by 40$ which I understand, any club is the same especially where I’m from.

Soooooo…..went to this club because it was 18 and up. Took my daughter and her girlfriend. JUST FYI IT’S A $40 COVER CHARGE FOR 18-20. Drinks were weak. Bartender was cool and nice. Vibe was good after 11:30. DJ was good, but $100 to get in club for 3 people was trash. Also, security was in ladies RR yelling at girls and banging on doors for them to hurry up. It was unnecessary. If you’re OK with weak drinks and ridiculous cover charge then this is the place for you. Also, they automatically add tip on every drink order. I don’t mind tipping wait staff, but I tip according to service. Luckily bartender was cool, so for me it wasn’t a big deal.

Bartender was cool and DJ played excellent music for the best Latin vibes.Lot’s of space to dance.The bathroom was clean and beautiful.Drink prices were ridiculous. $11 for a corona. Also, why is tip automatically added to the tab?Overall, this is a great spot minus the drinks.

This place has great music so I give the DJ a huge shoutout. However, my friend and I went to the bar to grab a drink and when we asked how much it was the bartender said $40 with a rude face and voice. We were shocked that we were being charged $20 for a single drink, we ordered a paloma, when the total was literally almost the price of the bottle at a liquor store. We then proceeded to sit down at the tiniest high top table in which there’s no room for bottle service and only sits two people. A girl approached us and told us that if we wanted to sit down we would have to pay an additional $25 dollars. This was outrageous because that table doesn’t fit anyone or anything. At this moment we decided to leave and have fun somewhere else.If you want to dance this place will have the music but it will for sure cost you a good amount of money to just enjoy yourself.

We arrived at 1 am looking to continue the party and a friend mentioned mi amor. We haven’t been but it looked lit on SM. $20 entrance. We asked the bouncer if it was lit and he looked into our soul and said yes. We pay, walk in, and there is 5 other bodies in there. Wack as club. Over priced. Never coming again.

The esthetic of the place was amazing! Provides a lot of cute photo ops. However, the music was too loud and drinks overpriced (for 2 $40, and it tasted more like just juice). Music was generally great, however the DJ did not transition between songs smoothly. Overall would return, but bring some ear plugs.

As someone visiting town. I am expecting great drinks and not watered down, if there’s a Cover charge. Highly disappointed.

I went last night. I bought 4 drinks and the bartender charged me $90 ? That’s over priced. The lady didn’t gave me a receipt.Also they charge a lot for the entrance. I use to like this club but I don’t think I would be back.

Horrible service. They added fees for drinks they are claiming we ordered. Automatically tipped themselves for every order they took from us. A $250 bottle came out to $350 it’s just Insane. Wouldn’t recommend. Definitely a lot better bars/clubs around the area. Tried disputing with management but in exchange they refused and wanted to compensate with a shot or discounted bottle. Very unprofessional service.

We went last night with a big group and had fun, but the place needs some work so I am going to give an objective and honest review. They charged me $380 for a 750 mL bottle of Titos and a table, I didnt want to dispute it at the time and stop having fun so I decided to ignore it. $11 coronas, $18 blue Hawaiis that were tiny and full of Ice overflowing the cup.The music was good overall but the transitions between songs were too long which meant people would just stop dancing and the dance floor cleared a couple times.The club is clean and has good photo spots, good ambiance overall. Bathrooms were kept clean the whole night which is nice. Service was also good except for being overcharged for the bottle that is listed on their website for a lot cheaper. The place is also new so it was kind of empty for a Saturday night but it has good potential.

Nice environment on Sundays the music is very cool they play a lot of reggaeton and if you go there look for A.G. The bartender he is really good with the drinks

Loving the clubs aesthetic! It’s a great place to party. I hosted my birthday party and they were so nice. The girls customer service was amazing they kept on checking on me, asking if everything was alright, ect. I went to the bar and got “la intrusa” cute, semi expensive, but really good! They also gave me a free champagne bottle for the celebration ! I’ll be back!!!!

Terrible bottle service. flat soda and bottle girl was just either not interested or she just didnt know how to service, on her phone the whole time while our group was waiting for hookah paid almost 35min prior (club was empty) 20% include for bar service which is crazy to me.(clubs do not ever include gratuity on bar service, this was the first place ive ever been to that does that) 15$ tip on a bucket of white claws that we got from the bar is ridiculous. did nothing but transfer white claws from fridge to bucket and got a 15$ tip. do not recommend.

My friends and I went to Mi Amor on NYE. We were hoping to find a good mix of club music and bachata music.The $20 cover for NYE was great, we were expecting to pay more.When we walked in, I was disappointed pretty quickly.The place was nearly empty on a night that should be the busiest for almost any club or bar (NYE!). There were probably as many employees as there were customers when we arrived around 10:30pm. It filled up a little more shortly before midnight, but was far from full capacity at any point.I ordered just one mixed drink from the bar, a gin and soda. The gin I asked for was middle shelf, but the drink still cost $15. It wasn’t overly strong or weak, but I wasn’t going to pay another $15 for a drink.I was disappointed by the music. The club mixes that the DJ put together weren’t really good for any type of dancing. It felt like I was at a rave. If the club was filled and everyone was jumping around it would have been alright, but that was far from reality. He should have played some basic club songs that everyone knows and can dance to rather than pushing his SoundCloud mixes on us.Many of the employees also looked pretty bored. Many were on their phones, but I don’t blame them for this since the club was so empty. It didn’t seem to interfere with their service.Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this club and will veto the idea if any of my friends suggest it in the future.

This place is close to shut down, front door staff too stiff behaving like they secret service, empty spot for the day we visited, they charge the tip with service, music is better outside then inside, got the female workers in degrading attire, and entry and exit point doesnt make sense. Overrated and low quality, to say the least. Door check on safety failed, one of the customers that made it inside was boasting at the table beside us on the weapon they brought in, bad door entry check. Payment receipts of your purchase does not itemized breakdown of cost of drinks/food and automatic tip charged. Wont return again at all to this location.

This was soooo disappointing, I never went to a club that it’s this sad. The whole place was empty at 12:00 am, the music was trash, the girl with blond hair was so rude. The only good thing about that place was the bartender he was nice. I wouldn’t recommend this place to nobody.

I honestly had a great night. It was my first time here and i was skeptical but Angela has treated us great and it was an awesome night. Also music lit af on Saturdays!Josselyn was also fantastic waitress, she got us our seats and greated us when we got here.

You should definitely come here if you’re looking for an amazing place to party at. The music was great so much variety and people were so pumped up. Tip is included however the bartenders are so friendly that I didn’t mind it. They have photo ops for selfies along with many fun signs. I will definitely be coming back. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I went here for my 21st birthday and had the WORST experience ever. They make you pay an entrance fee EVEN if you’re buying a section. Worst bottle service. They never come back and check on your table to see if you need waters , refills on the cranberry or to even buy another bottle. They advertise 2 for 1 deals on instagram but don’t honor it once you get there. You’ll pay $400 for ONE bottle of casamigos including a $75 tip that our bottle girl added HERSELF even though grat share was already included. I’ve worked at multiple clubs, hosted at multiple clubs and this one was just HORRIBLE. it’s sad to see because I went here when it was VAULT nightclub and the service was soooo much better. The only thing good about this place was the music. Do not go here if you’re looking for good bottle service!!!

Came across this club on my friends snapchats, first ever underground club i ever attend to! The dj was incredibly amazing , played nothing but bangers!!!! Bottle girl service is amazing ! Shout to the bartender girls as well ! I will be coming back very soon!!

$40 cover for me and my wife.Went straight to the bar. 1 beer and one vodka/cranberry was another $40.Tasted like watered down cranberry. Wouldn’t have made the best of it and stuck to beer but the dj was so bad we left within the hour. Won’t ever return!!!Waste of time

Mi Amor Review: Disappointing Experience - Mi Amors enjoyable music couldnt outweigh its significant drawbacks. The clubs policy of automatic tipping without upfront notification is a major issue, not commonly practiced by other upscale bars in Houston. The use of Zelle for transactions feels outdated for a venue aiming for a high-end image. Dealing with refunds is particularly troublesome, involving misleading claims and unprofessional tactics. The overall experience is marred by these operational and customer service problems, leading to considerations of legal action due to similar complaints from other patrons.

This place SUCKS!!!We came here because the promoters told us we didn’t have to pay for entrance so we got there, music was not a vibe DJ was just switching music without a nice vibe.I paid $20 for ONE Paloma with well tequila and it wasn’t great so the entrance and the exit are different in guessing so people that’s coming in don’t see everyone that’s leaving.The promoters really try to push for you to buy a bottle we didn’t and we were walking to leave as we were outside we se everyone coming out. Apparently they just closed the place and kicked everyone out imagine all the people that bought bottle service they just kicked them out no money back ; that’s a professional scam there.They didn’t give explanation and kicked everyone out the club no explanations no money back.Or course everyone’s pissed and I really hope this place gets shuts down bc it sucks in all aspects.

Bought tickets back in August 18 for J. Alvarez concert. Wasnt able to make it due to a medical emergency. Website showed refunds were avaliable in case to case basis. I called for one and was told that owner said in 7-9 business days. 2 weeks later called again and this time I was told its not through them. Kept getting the round and round. If thats the case its simple to make it Not refundable after purchasing.

Ag was a great bartender im here on a buisness trip from Dallas opening a well known spot in dallasAnd he went about and beyond to make sure me and my company team from dallas were well taken care of and enjoyed our time in Houston will definitely be visiting mi amor our next time in houston….if possible 1000 stars

Owner and security guards look/treat at you like you dont belong if you havent been there before or not there with a reservation. NO one will dance NO matter if someone or you initiates. This place is just an Instagram stop for the girls 9/10 are not even interested in meeting any men cept the chads (or Edgars in this case, lol).Small AF dance floor btw (which shouldve been a hint), i mean the club as a whole is small af.Dont come here if youre an average looking guy, youll get ignored and treated rudely. I say dont let it bother you though, get drunk and have fun. Dont be obnoxious and be respectful of others space and you shouldnt get kicked out. Simply put, if your there for tail= waste of time (for average to moderately above average men). For fun=fun.So, theyre not that bad (like actively trying to get me to leave) but definitely 100% unwelcoming from the start.Bartenders were surprisingly nice but most of the bottle girls are bojiee AF along with rest of the staff. BTW, I would advise you or you bring someone who speaks spanish, big help.

If i could give 0 stars i would, the music is horrible and the service even worse not only do they automatically go ahead and charge you their tip for literally any single thing but they double charge your account, it happened to me and another friend.

10/10 one of the best clubs I’ve been to. The drinks are really good made by the usual bartender Sofia! She is the best bartender hands down!

The place is very nice, very clean, very good there but what I didnt like is that when we arrived they told us that 200 for the table with a bottle and when the ticket arrived it said 335 Dolores never gave the money they charged for the table Plus the tip and another fee I do not know what. The music was ok I think they can get another DJ apart from the others, the goga is very attentive

They charged me 40 dollars for two Jack Daniels with Redbull, I havent seen those prices in the best clubs in NYC Ive been to, much less in filthy clubs like this one that was half empty, with bad music and ugly, overweight gogos.

A super spectacular place to enjoy a pleasant night, the drinks, the hygiene and safety attention 100% I recommend it even though I am part of the excellent Work team, it would definitely be my place to go out to party and have a few drinks ❤️💃🎉🍾

The music was terrible, the DJ didnt even leave a complete song, a lot of non-Latin music and the drinks were expensive, plus they charge you the tip they want every time you buy a drink...I wouldnt return to this place
