Indiana Therapeutic Massage School

This place was my second home for ten months and I wouldnt have wanted it any other way. The instructors are amazing, the owner, Taylor, is AMAZING. Everyone is family there, forget the awkwardness of having to start school and meet new people, everyone is welcoming and you instantly become close to everyone. Definitely recommend this school!!

I’m very grateful to being in this school for my education they are very helpful and very supportive for the students.my first language is not English and after I finish my career I improve my English language and I finish my therapy career. Recommend it a hundred percent .

I recently graduated from ITMS and had a great experience. All of the instructors there are massage therapists themselves and like to relate all of the subject matter to the profession in a practical manner. I like the fact that all of the hours are done in person, even though I live an hour away. I had fun getting to know everyone in our small classes and everyone genuinely cared about one another. Your instructors and classmates would help you out in a heartbeat about anything you were struggling with. I passed my MBLEX the first time with just studying the content we were taught in this program. I would highly recommend ITMS over online schools for sure, anyone looking for a school that teaches techniques and NOT ROUTINES, and anyone looking for a new community of friends. You definitely will be prepared for more than just doing typical Swedish/Spa massages.

I am an LMT and I wish I could have gone here for my education! This place gives you such a well rounded education that your options are limitless after you graduate! I have been to the student clinics many times and it never feels like I’m receiving a student massage but a professional one! If you are thinking about becoming a student here, just do it! You won’t regret it! And if you are looking to get a massage , you can’t beat the price for what you receive!

I had a wonderful experience as a student at ITMS 2023-2024. I had previously attended a different massage school before coming to ITMS and I can say without a doubt that ITMS is far superior. The instructors take the time to help each and every student understand and fully learn all the information given to them. From day 1 I was learning things that I wasn’t taught at my previous massage school. I struggled with learning anatomy and knowing all the actions for the muscles but at ITMS, anatomy class quickly became my favorite class and I excelled in it very quickly. I was able to grow not only as massage therapist, but as a person. I conquered my anxiety and found my massage family in the process. In just 13 months I was able to become a licensed massage therapist and become employed at a very successful chiropractic office. If you’re on the fence about attending ITMS, give them a chance and you won’t be sorry!

This is one of the best schools Ive ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My son attended and the taught him everything he needs to know to further his career. Highly recommend 👌

Had an incredible first experience going to ITMS today. Originally signed up for a hot stone massage and ended up getting exactly what I needed. The student I was with (Dustin) was incredibly professional and kept me engaged through the entire massage to make sure I was doing okay because he determined I could benefit from a mixture of techniques. I didnt know what to ask for but its like he just knew without me needing to explain much. Cannot emphasize how thankful I am to have found this place and will absolutely be going back regularly. Truly the most compassionate care Ive ever received.

This is a great place if you want a discounted massage. As the other reviewer noted, its a school, so these are students and youll be asked to fill out an anonymous evaluation afterwards.Ive been here maybe four times, and its always relaxing. You get a full hour and the students communicate with you beforehand about what you want. Its no spa setting, but the rooms are quiet and calming, with salt lamps and gentle music playing. One time I went and the room was cold, but I mentioned it to them and it hasnt happened since. The massages have always been great. I think two of them were just perfect on their own, and two others changed their pressure when I asked, and it was great after that.If you get on their email list, youll hear about last-minute openings at even cheaper rates. I think I paid $20 once. I always tip the students too.

Poor customer service on the management end. My booked and paid for service + gratuity was canceled the night before the service date via text. I was told I would receive a refund within a set amount of days. That did not come within those days. I was told the refund was sent. It was not received. I personally had to pursue this to finally get a refund. No follow-up response or apologies on the delay from management

The massage school is great for what it is. You can get an hour long massage for a fraction of the price of anywhere else. Of course thats because you are helping a student get experience. Ive been many times over the years. Ive had amazing massages and ok massages. You fill out an evaluation at the end and I think that definitely helps with the service you get. The massages are best for general relaxation. Despite the name, and the website says so, this is not a place to get an intense massage to relieve specific issues. Also note that the type of massage you get varies since students often have different styles of massage that they focus on/want to pursue. The hours are very limited. You can also book a spa appointment, which is with an instructor. Those are the full price you would pay at a regular spa or massage practice. Ive done that a couple of times and gotten incredible massages. The instructors obviously know what they are doing.

ITMS is truly an amazing place. The education I received as a student there has been invaluable to me as a massage therapist. The instructors are all passionate therapists, leaders within the massage community, and also just really high quality human beings. As an avid receiver of bodywork, I love booking with the ITMS student clinic for a low cost, quality massage.

ITMS is a great school and a great place to get a massage. The instructors know their stuff, which comes through in the quality of massage you receive in the student clinics. I am a recent graduate, and attending ITMS was the best decision Ive ever made.

Amazing school training the most qualified healers in Indy! If you dont mind getting a massage by a student I strongly suggest paying them a visit. Privacy is guaranteed, it is a true spa experience from start to finish.

I would NOT be running and feeling pretty good on a regular basis if it wasnt for this place and their good work. Dont think of massage as a luxury but a necessity if you want to do your best in working out hard to meeting your potential/goals in your chosen sport area.

I have had severe back problems with chronic pain for over 25 years. Cherie has really helped get some of the pain under control and is always trying to find new ways to do that.
