Very zen, indoor/outdoor are as to enjoy the tropical breeze. Very convenient to have right at the hotel. Showering facilities available. Very relaxing massage with great technique! Only downfall is with rooms partially open to outside, you can hear people in hotel courtyard if they are being very loud, but music helps to buffer a little.

My husband and I scheduled a couples Lomi Lomi massage and we had Jenny and Nicole as our therapists. They were extremely accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our massages. The atmosphere was great! We loved how the room was inside/outside as we were able to hear the ocean crashing on the rocks. Would definitely recommend.

Just finished a prenatal massage with Ria and facial with Kapua. Both services were excellent and my providers were kind and compassionate. Spa is clean and professional. Learned the spa is owned by a local family not the Sheraton. Visit Maui and the Spa at Black Rock and help our West Maui friends!!

I had Nicole as my therapist and it was amazing! We were in for the couples lomi lomi with a scalp massage. I have never felt more at ease and in tuned with a massage before. Also, the people are so kind and service was excellent 🥹Its the day after I returned home from my vacation but Im still thinking about it. No massage has ever done that to me. Feel free to read the other reviews, but I hope you understand what you may miss out on if you overlook this place.

Extremely disappointed after our couples massage this morning. If this review was purely for the massage, it would be 5 stars. The massage therapists were fantastic and we feel great. However, our room was partially open to the outside and for the ENTIRE 50 minute massage there was someone right outside weed whacking and doing landscaping. It was incredibly loud and disruptive to the relaxing atmosphere. When we conveyed the disappointment to the front desk staff, she simply said that they aren’t made aware of when landscaping is being done, quickly followed up by asking if we’d like to leave a tip.It is unfortunate that we spent our time and money on an experience that left us frustrated and disappointed. We will not go back.

My fiancé and I just had an amazing couple’s (lomi lomi) massage with Jenny and Nicole. Jenny was able to take me to seventh heaven with her expert massage skills 🥰🥰 definitely in the top 3 massages I have ever had!!We were in the lanai/balcony area that was partially open to the ocean. While there were a lot of peripheral sounds, and both of us are typically sensitive to any external noises, our massages were sooo relaxing. that we weren’t too bothered. The cool breeze and melody from the crashing waves truly amplified my experience :)Tip: I highly recommend not scheduling anything right after the massage. Instead, I recommend getting your beach towel and napping right by the ocean front beach!

I got a couples massage with my husband. Our masseuses Elizabeth and Elaine were absolutely amazing. I hold all of my tension in my shoulders and after the massage I felt so light. Front desk ladies were sweet and helpful. Great experience!

When I made my reservations to stay there, they made a big deal about their world famous spa but failed to mention it would be closed for 3 weeks for renovations, and it just happened that it was during my stay there. I believe it should have been made clear when I made the reservation. Before Marriott bought Sheraton, a couple different times when I was making reservations at a Sheraton, they always informed the customer if renovations were going on. I guess the Marriott isnt as transparent. Pick another resort. There are several reason, more than just this that I did not like it. The Sheraton Waikiki is top notch and the Sheraton Maui is just a disappointment.

As a massage therapist myself for the last decade, I know a good massage when I get one. My partner and I came this morning (8/29/21) for a couples massage, and my massage therapist Rhonda rocked my world - truly one of the best massages I have ever had. From flow to pressure, to communication skills and tailoring the session to meet me needs, she excelled. The couples room we were in was partially outdoors with a fan blowing, kissing our skin with a hint of island breeze, only adding to the exquisite treatment. The lotion or cream used on me left a light, fruity scent - simply delightful! Our only regrets: not booking 80 minutes, and not receiving massages every day we’ve been here. Had today not been our last day in Maui we would have booked again every day. Reasonably priced, exceptional atmosphere, highly skilled therapists. If we ever return to Maui, we will be booking massages here again. Mahalo, Rhonda! Your skill level is unmatched.

Scheduled a couples massage over a week in advance for my boyfriends birthday. Received confirmation of our massages the day before. When we arrived for our appointment time, they said they didnt have 2 therapists to do the couples massage and only had 1 therapist available. Not apologetic at all and just blamed the manager. They could have called/ texted/ notified us that they had a scheduling issue but apparently they didnt care enough to let us know. Overall very disappointing experience. Would not recommend for this unprofessional behavior.

Too expensive for what they offer. Not a true spa experience. Rooms are open air so hopefully they aren’t doing yard work outside for your experience. Massage felt rushed and my wife and I feel more sore the following day.

Our couples massage was great, but we booked the outdoor “ocean front lanai” and it was basically just a pool cabana with hardly any coverage, so people walking by could see right in. We could hear everyone right next to you at the pool and it was hard to relax with people constantly walking right by you. Again, the massage was great, but I think the website could advertise this outdoor space a little more accurately.

The outside massage is great on the right sunny breezy day, within earshot of the ocean and beach.

Very expensive. I live in Seattle & I have a massage membership at a local spa, I know a quality massage. I booked a clay wrap and massage. The wrap was good. Depending on your body the clay mask can get toasty even hot while you are in the wrap. There is no heating pad underneath you, the heat is coming from your bodys interaction with the clay. My skin was soft after. But since Ive been in Maui my skin has been soft and hydrated due the high humidity. Next time I would skip the wrap when the humidity is so high, not a big deference in my skin after.The massage was neutral. My lady was very nice and even funny, but I felt like she was distracted and not in tune with giving a massage. When I think of a quality massage I think of long fluid strokes & consistent pressure. I should of asked to increase the pressure, but that would not have made the massage any better. Her strokes were short and choppy. Maybe I caught her on an off day, we all have them. If I would have spent $100 on both services I would have been happy with what I received. I spent over $250 and that is with a %10 discount. I paid double what I would have paid at my local spa. I know that is in part to the location. My expectations were not met. I would not revisit this spa.

The massage was amazing!! 90 minutes Ocean front, with the waves crashing and sun glistening. Incredible!!! However, be fair warned.. The Spa itself is extremely disappointing. There is no locker room, no hot tub, no water offered before, we (couples) had to shower in a different massage room. The blinds broke, the locker was broken and I had some difficulty with the front desk.This is NOT a Spa experience and the Sharaton would be wise to invest money into the spa experience. They have such amazing massage therapist and an incredible outdoor setting for the massage!! But the spa experience is better in your hometown shopping plaza. 5 stars for the massage and outdoor setting but 1 star taken off for the lack of Spa experience.

This is not a Spa experience! No sauna, no steam room and they didn’t even offer a robe or somewhere to shower prior to my massage. The massage itself was good but this place is truly not worth the money. Do yourself a favour and spend your time and money at a different spa. I am so disappointed.

I visited this spa at the start of my vacation 2 weeks ago and signed up for a couples massage with my boyfriend. As soon as we got into the massage room the massage therapist I was assigned asked what they should focus on. I gave instructions on what I wanted more attention on because I have a massage therapist at home I go to regularly. As the massage started I noted the therapist was really light with her treatment so I asked her to apply a bit more pressure because my muscles werent getting any sort of relief. On the contrary, they started to get more and more painful as she rubbed lightly. The therapist told me that if I wanted more pressure then Id have to upgrade to the deep tissue massage. I wasnt asking her for anything too in depth but it felt like she was just patting my back for the full massage so I gave up and let it be because the couples massage was already expensive. After getting out of the massage I informed my partner that my shoulders were starting to hurt a lot and it felt like she therapist did more harm than good. My partner got a positive experience with someone who applied a lot more pressure than the person I was assigned to, even getting elbows of pressure on his back.When it was time to pay I told the person at the front desk about my experience and all they could do was apologize. It was only when I told them I didnt want to leave a tip that the manager came out and and gave us a 15% discount. It was barely enough to cover the tax but they still asked if I wanted to tip after such a poor massage experience. For the next 2 days my shoulders were in a lot of pain and I didnt know why.Fast forward to when I get home I had scheduled an appointment with my own massage therapist to try and work out the pain in my shoulders. After consulting my therapist she told me the person who worked on my at the spa activated my muscles and left them in an irritated state, they likely aggravated a nerve on my left shoulder which will take a few weeks to heal, and that there was a spot on my left shoulder that my therapist couldnt work out because of how badly knotted the muscles were on that side. My therapist pointed out that it was not there in my previous appointments and proceeded to apply hot and cold packs to try to loosen that part again. After my regular appointment I was advised to do a series of hot and cold treatments to help treat my left should before my next appointment.Ive been turned off by the idea of going to a resort and getting a massage after this experience even after knowing the therapists at this spa are licensed. I never expected to spend over $400 on a massage that caused me so much pain and Im surprised that when I didnt give them a tip is when someone decided to care about my pain, not when I initially complained.I called to ask for the license number of the masseuse who worked on me to file a formal complaint but they never called back.After writing this review I see a lot of people had similar experiences on yelp.....

It was too expensive for an okay message. We booked a couples massage, and my husband ended up being at the foot of my bed. It wasnt romantic like we had hoped for. It was nice inside and the staff were very nice.

Hailey the Manager is the best! She made the day very special for my wife and handled it all over the phone for me. If you want to do something special for your significant other call Hailey at the spa at blackrock and she will make it happen!

BEWARE! A massage beach side turned POOLSIDE pretty quick and it was a VERY high price tag.Step 1: Change in an awkward roomStep 2 : walk 50 yards to the site in your bathrobe while patrons and staff say hello.Step 3: Listen to loud intoxicated hotel guests talk to themselves and their children on the phone.Step 4: Try and understand why hotel guests get to talk with the therapist while the message is taking place!Step 5: Dont complain because your girlfriend just paid a ton of money on your birthday.I had so much better expectations, the least memorable event of an unbelievable time in MAUI!!Mahalo,TonyMassachusetts
