Having been to several Massage Envy locations, I can confidently say that the Lemon Grove location does a great job in hiring massage therapists. I have seen several there and they are all very good. Just saw Sarah today and received one of the best massages I’ve ever gotten in my entire life. I’ve seen Nina there as well and she is also amazing! My wife has seen other therapists there and has never been disappointed. You really can’t go wrong! Highly recommended!

I had a great experience working with Alexander, I came in after almost 2 years of no massage therapy and with a lot of muscle tightness and neck pain, and Alexander immediately started explaining various stretches and tips I can do at home and understood that my work contributed to how I was feeling. After my deep tissue massage, I left feeling brand new!! Alexander was attentive, professional and ensured I was doing okay throughout. 10/10 service, I will definitely become a regular here.

James at Lemon Grove location works miracles.He has a thorough understanding of body mechanics and has the ability to find all the areas that need attention. I have had years of pain and many many different massage and chiropractic work done with little to no relief. James was able to target and start the work to lessen the muscle tightness after a couple months of deep tissue work. Highly recommend him if you are need of deep tissue work.

He was AMAZING!!!! By far the best massage I ever had. That it! As long as I am living in California and he is still working there, I will only be going to him. Thank you so much for an amazing experience. I feel like a brand new woman living out of there. No more aches and pains.

I have recently started frequenting this location and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I have been booking my sessions with Sarah and she truly is an amazing professional of her craft. She is always striving to help make the most of our time and help with my challenges in the best possible ways, and it has truly made a difference in my life.

Ive been a regular client of James at Massage Envy in Lemon Grove every other week for over a year now, and as a person who takes her massages seriously, I cant praise this massage therapist enough. His deep understanding of muscle anatomy is evident in every session. James has an incredible knack for identifying and alleviating tension and knots (even when you dont tell him, hell find it!), leaving me feeling rejuvenated every time. His skillful techniques and personalized approach make him the best masseur Ive ever had. If youre looking for exceptional care and relief from muscle pain and stress, James is the one to see!

This is my new favorite massage envy location. They have very highly skilled massage therapists - including Cathy my favorite and a very professional front desk staff. Shout out to Manager Zee who has been nothing but super helpful!

I love this Massage Envy location so much! Eric is my regular therapist and is amazing esp for someone that works 12 hour shifts as a nurse and is also at a desk studying. He understands anatomy and those troublesome pressure points. Highly recommend!

Lana at the front desk is always welcoming and so helpful. I’ve had several masseuses over the years and am always very satisfied. Lola is amazing if you want to relax and Roman is great if you’re looking for something a little deeper. Do yourself a favor and book a message here.

I’ve been going to James at this location for some time now. He definitely has the “wow factor” and does great deep tissue massages! I also recently saw Jen Ray and I was very impressed with how well she can read my pressure points and body language. She also does great deep tissue massages and listens to what I’m looking for each visit!

Massage Envy in Lemon is the best location love the lady’s in the front they are sweet and welcoming. And let’s not say the therapist are all so great I’ve had Eric, James and Jen all have a special touch. Come and book here at the lemon grove location

I am hesitant to leave this positive review because my massage therapist will be even busier than normal, and it may be more difficult for me to book my appointments. However, in the interest of helping the public, I am letting everyone know that Sophal is the best. He is professional, is trained in a variety of massage techniques, and tailors each session to your areas of concern. The front desk staff is also friendly!

My favorite massage place! Been going here for years because they have the best masseuses! Their receptionist are super friendly and great with recommendations on therapists if you are new here as well.

They always kill it here. I alternate between Sarah and Nancy. They have two completely different styles but never miss the mark. My wife and I use the couples room and the 60 minute massages feel like 15 minutes because they are very engaging. Highly recommend.

Great location! If you have credits left over from COVID times, this is a great place to use them. They do not uncharted your accrued credits like other locations.

2nd prenatal massage today, my experiences have been super great so far! I always feel comfortable and relaxed. They have a pregnancy pillow so I could lay on my stomach and addtional body pillos to lay on your side. Penn was exceptional and super helpful. I get asked how comfortable I am for every new massage position and how much my pressure comfort level is. Its really tempting to get the monthly membership for just $85. This is my second prenatal massage within the month, and Im in love every time!

I usually get seen the same day here! They always have great availability. Its a bit on the pricey side, compared to Asian style massage places, but the services here are fully customizable. Theyre therapists and aestheticians are really great and very attentive. My fave massage envys out of the San Diego area.

Ive been coming to this Massage Envy for awhile now and love my experience every single time. I go to Lola when I just want a relaxation session and I hit up James for a stretch or some DEEP work when I got knots to get rid of. The girls at the front are always smiling and have great customer service too. April is great with firm and deep pressure massages too! Highly recommended spot!

Booked a massage online through Massage Envy and had a confirmation email. Arrived at location for apointent and was told I was not in their system for an appointment.They said I could wait for the next available appt which would have been an hour from original. They said they are independent from corporate and I should have called instead of booked online. (How was a new customer suppose to know that????? )I expressed that this was unfortunate and they lost a customer. Was supposed to me my first massage and didnt happen today.

OMG Nancy is absolutely increduble! I think shes the best massage therapist Ive ever seen at all Massage Envys Ive been to. Im always gonna do 90 min or 2-hour massages with her from now on. The body simply gets into another zone which 60 min sessions cant reach. Nancys English isnt great, but shes extremely attentive to your needs. Must try!!!!!

Massage Envy, I went there several times to get a facial since my husband was a member. My experiences always been excellent, everyone is so polite, and the staff is fantastic. When I finally decided to get my membership, but unfortunately, I cant continue with it because my grandpa is sick, and I have to take care of him financially. I appreciate how understanding and caring they are. I recommend going to this place so much! They are so amazing! I have nothing but positive things to say about this place.

Front desk lady is rude as hell, passive aggressive, unhelpful and definitely deterred me from booking an appointment here.. Do better!

Today my husband and I did a couples massage, my masseuse was LoLa and she was amazing. I let her know of my frozen shoulder thinking it was ok she worked on it and who knew my shoulder needed that massage so badly. I was so relaxed and my shoulder felt amazing. My husbands masseuse was Darnesha, she worked out his back pain he had from moving boxes, she helped with his neck pain also. Both girls were professional and respectful.

Horrible service. Originally had an appointment for 4 pm and they moved me to 2pm. They weren’t able to move me so they kept my entire gift card. Supposed to be my first massage ever as a birthday gift from a loved one. Now I can’t even use it.

My mom is a MT and she always told me not to go to one of these because of how they underpay their staff. In town on business I came in and everyone was polite and the facility was clean. The quality of the massage was so so, definitely have had better but definitely was not the worst. The therapist was professional and did their best to meet my request of deep pressure. It is a solid place to go if you are looking for a clean and safe massage.

I have come to this store a couple of times and enjoyed it every time! The front desk service is great, I was helped immediately and they really took the time to understand what I was looking for in order to match me to the right therapist. They also recommended me to try the aroma therapy oils and hot towels, which were super relaxing and calming. I have to say that I loved the massage from Joseph though! He was really good at his deep tissue massage and knows exactly how much pressure to apply. If you are looking for a massage that releases some serious knots, he is your man!

Shoutout to Joseph, he’s amazing deep background in experience for massage therapy and facials, eager to share his knowledge and recommendations. Make you feel 100% comfortable. Also if your looking for deep tissue he’s your guy!

The skin care services here are phenomenal! Medical grade facials and Microderms that cost a fraction of what it costs in La Jolla! Giavana is superb and knowledgeable! Highly recommend it!

My sister went here and I drove her. Her wait was a bit long. They were friendly enough. Maybe because its a chain massage place, I just felt like she was just a number. Plus she had a Groupon, so we figured lets try it. We are always open to new places, the price was right. Massage was alright too. But still not sure if Id make it my go to massage parlour. I like the small local businesses a lot more. But like I said the price was right.

The Lemon Grove location by far has been the best experience for me. I have been using massage therapy for many years due to sports injuries from long ago. My therapist Joseph shared with me about sports massages and stretching techniques and it has made a huge difference in my recovery. Joseph is incredibly knowledgeable in treating muscle spasms, reduced range of motion and also is very experienced as an esthetician. I am so glad I joined up as a member and it has been the best decision for my overall care!

Professional and fast arrival process. Alexander has incredible healing hands. I was a mess from at home computer work and stress. I feel so much better now and will be back.

I have been to couple massage Envy but I was truley impressed by this location.First thing i have noticed was how clean the facility is and getting greeted by warm welcome from the associates. I had a appointment with Joseph, he was phenomenal. Best thing about Joseph is that he is attentive and competent. I will only come to this massage envy.

Great staff. Super friendly. Clean and new office. I belong to their monthly club and come regularly. I have always had great massages! My husband and I even did a couples massage on our anniversary. Parking is easy and it’s in a less congested area than the others.

I signed a contract with these guys at 18 because they had a deal. Basicaly instead of paying like $125 for a walk-in massage you pay $65 for 12 months for 1 - 1hour massage for each month. Looking back at it now, its a RIP off of course plus they raised the price to $75. Different masseuse do different massages. They all know how to give massages but there are clearly better ones, but none of them (except like 4) are worth the hour service.

Great massages however their vip plan is a bit over priced for only one massage a month. Need to adjust that whole deal should offer more then one a month for$ 60. Also the esthetician working at this location is amazing and very knowledgeable about the products. Great person good energy from her.

I was pressed and in pain. I gave in and visited ME. I know its a coin toss. You can get a great massage or a not so great massage. My issues are: the front desk person wasnt aware of HIPAA protected info and spoke loudly in the lobby. Next, my mt had his heart in the right place but it was okay, and last the same front desk girl rattled off her pitch in a rapid fire fashion. The pitch was rehearsed and didnt incite trust. Perhaps the franchise should pay people more so that they can recruit top notch folks.

The person giving my massage did a good job but something in the room smelled kinda musty. It was hard to fully relax because I was trying to deep breathe deep. Kinda overall glad to walk out and breathe fresh air. Ruined my gift card lol. I wish I would have had a better experience for my first time at a massage envy.

I see her on a weekly basis and she has completely cured my migraines, neck pain, back pain, hip pain, arm pain, leg pain. MY ALL OVER PAINS!! She is so gifted it is unreal. Wow! I went in this past weekend for a massage and facial and had THE BEST experience! Ive had many massages and facials and have been to numerous massage envys. This location has by far the best customer service and therapists! The front desk staff was so welcoming and reccomembed one of their aromatherapy oils as I mentioned I had a headache. The massage therapist gave me exactly what I needed and even used relaxing hot towels. My facial was also amazing, the esthetician took the time to really listen to my concerns and my skin looks and feels so incredible! I will definitely be returning to the Lemon grove massage envy for my future massages and facials!

I enjoy coming to get my massage on a monthly bases because I have the best of the therapist, Joseph Anthony. And the customer service is great at this location. The cleanliness and the atmosphere what also make me keep coming back.

This review is for the owner of lemon Grove Massage Envy. Please have a professional Murad facial. I have used murad products for 30 years and had facials in his office in Los Angeles. The facial I received on November 2, 2018 was the absolute worst Facial I’ve ever had in my entire life. No steam, no extractions and no facial massage. Lynn barely touched my face. And the biggest problem is I had to pay for it. After telling the front desk all they said was would you like to leave a gratuity and make another appointment. I just was in the day before and had a massage by Jennifer which I left a five star review. Please don’t leave me your phone number to call because I know you won’t do anything about this.

One of the better massages Ive had from this chain (16 year member with serious injuries).

Despite the awful reviews my husband decided to book me a massage and a facial. 20 min before my massage we had to cancel due to the fact that my daughter has a medical condition which can spike at any minute and it requires us to take her to the ER.We spoke to crystal and she said that she would have to charge us 100% even tho I did not receive any service. She provided us with the owner phone number and told US to call him. And she started helping someone else.My husband called the owner and he said that he would have to charge us the whole amount and that everyone has emergency on a daily basis. (He didn’t even care that my daughter had to seek medical attention) I then proceeded to talk to him and he the OWNER had the audacity to hang up on me. This is the lowest customer service I have ever received my whole life. An OWNER hanging up the phone saying that he had better things to do. My kind husband gave him the benefit of the doubt but now a day people have no morals. I would NOT be coming here ever. And I hope that no one has to ever deal with him. It’s clear that they only care about the money. This place will not go very far this way.To be clear *** husband booked on the phone and no one explained cancellation policy at any point. I can give you date and time when the call was made in order to pull the entire conversation***

My experience has overall been positive. This new location has blossomed into a thriving location. My current therapist Sam is thorough and Fabulous! Several of my friends also use this site and were referred by me to Sam; one drives from Chula Vista! 100% positive Experience!

This place is garbage, they will tell you everything you will want to hear and not follow through with it. The quality of massage is a hit or miss, for which the membership wouldnt be worth it. The membership only gives you a one hour free massage for the month and about $40 any hour after that during the month, for which you can get at any decent massage places, the difference is that you pay them $20 per month just to be a member. After I cancelled my membership due to a military obligation for 2 months out of country, I still paid for the last month and was promised to get my free hour massage after coming back. What they dont disclose is that after cancellation any existing items they owe you are not redeemable after 60 days. I have met the owner of this establishment in the beginning, he is a good salesman but lousy at customer service. Overall, this particular owner/shop is overrated and over priced. You will be better off going to any Happy Head Massage.

I had several massages in the past few months; all were very excellent, they ( Nick, Ruby, Gabe, Hagley ) massages with stretchs; they reviewed my profile and followed them to my instructions; what I required done concerning pressures and areas I needed most; my estheticians had Stephanie and Natasha were excellent pressure and relaxing with the amount of time; I enjoyed very much; they also followed my instructions to my protocol; what I prefer to have done; cleanliness of establishment as I entered was very neat; receptionist as I came in greeted me VERY professionally, friendly as well

Therapist was pleasant, however the office personnel leaves me with a sour taste for this place. They have no office etiquette at all. They have no clue what is going on and make you feel like your the idiot. They flat out lied to my face and when confronted with the proof tried to turn things around to be my fault. I definitely will not be going back to this place. .Im an office Manager, my suggestion to you owner of this establishment is get people who know how to deal with your customers and speak clearly to your customers not down to them..

Totallly recommend a massage by Joseph if you like deep tissue. He really does an amazing job. Its been hard to find someone who can really dig in and get the results he does. Place is clean, professional, and the front desk is friendly.

Schedule a 2pm appointment and got here at 1:50pm for a 90 minutes massage and I asked at 2:18pm how much longer I had to wait and they said my appointment wasn’t until 2:30, I told them I did not schedule a 2:30 appt that it was at 2pm and in that case I couldn’t do the 90mins because I had to pick up my kids from school and the front desk lady was like “well we still have to charge you like a cancellation fee like you didn’t show up” ok if I show up 40 mins early to my supposedly 2:30 appt, they could have said something. But they are too busy gossiping!!! I could have went and did some errands around here. Cecilia

This place is awful. The only reason I went for a year is because I got sucked into a membership. My very last massage was for this evening. I missed it because I got into a car accident. But does a place that promotes wellness care? No, not one bit. Fully charged and told oh, ok; you cant reschedule, you have to book a new one. After one year of being a customer, not even an are you okay? The only thing that made this place worthwhile was Naeda, and shes been gone for months.

What a nice spa!!! Felt so taken care of very clean and comfortable. Everytime I come here I get a great massage and never have to worry. Its nice knowing I will leave happy and satisfied.

First I made a call because according to the Massage Envy website they said they do massages for treatment of Carpal Tunnel. I called and the front desk had no idea what I was talking about, so I decided to drive there and it was around 7:20 hoping Id get a better answer in person, which they found one and I was in so much pain i was hoping to get some relief, ending up to find out they said they dont have any available slots. Nobody was there, the rooms were pretty empty and i was hoping theyd help me out since I was like in so much tension due to the fact Im taking prednisone and had a stressful day because my brother was at the ER. So I felt like I didnt get the best first impression at all.

This place is a mess! Im advising Before they force the membership on you be sure to read EVERYTHING! we were told we could share our membership with anyone. now we are told that at the time of signing up ,that policy was not in; so basically they are calling us a liar !? How could we know about that as customers? Now, supposedly we can share (with their new policy) however ,there is a $10 fee along with what we are paying monthly. So they take a monthly fee of ($60) plus u have to pay extra. And to top it off u cant get out of the monthly payment. It is true that before u sign to anything READ EVERYTHING THE FINE PRINTS EVERYTHING. they are so eager to trap ppl ,they did not explain what u are really signing to they make it seem so easy and enticing. Its been hell with them can I add that we are trapped with monthly payment for 1 year ! Need to take them to Court.

I enjoyed my deep tissue massage .It was one of the best Ive had except that i was very sore the next day but was told that its normal. Other than that everything else was great.
