My go-to club in River North where I like to celebrate many different occasions. Been to a few other clubs near but Tunnel felt more of my vibe. The last few times I been here, I’ve done bottle service.. I think thats the best thing to do especially with bigger groups. Service A1, drinks/shots whenever you need.. and more spacious area for you in the booths.Tunnel always does bottle service giveaways on their social media pages and I think thats an awesome thing to do to engage with people and bring them in for a good experience. Friendly staff and always takes good care of us when we’re there!
Tunnel is always a fun club to be at when in the city. The staff here take good care of my group & I every time we do bottle service. There are different DJs spinning on different nights but overall, can’t complain when its good music & good vibes.I’ve celebrated New Years Eve here at Tunnel 2 years in a row now and its always been a good experience and fun time. The count down with everybody in the room and all the Tunnel staff is beautiful.I think doing bottle service is always good while here so we don’t have to wait in line for drinks and being with a big group, we can do rounds of shots/drinks at any time of night with no wait.
I visited Tunnel while in town visiting my daughters and cannot tell you in enough words how much fun we had and it was an experience I will never forget. The drink selection and bartenders were amazing. We had bottle service and I have to say I was impressed with not only the service but the presentation and vibe these girls present. The music was as diverse as the crowd. Everything was top notch and the best I have had in Chicago. Great venue for corporate or private events as well. The atmosphere is ideal.
Saturday July 13 was promoted as a “Latino night” so that’s what we were expecting. We booked a table for my friends bachelorette and it was definitely NOT Latino night. DJ played more English songs than anything. Music was kind of whack (baby by Justin Bieber? :/ … ) Very disappointing considering that we chose this weekend bc of the music.

Tunnel is a beautiful space. We had a daytime event at Tunnel and it was perfect for our purpose -- and the location near the Merch Mart couldnt be more central for Downtown Chicago. The service def had to shift gears from a nightclub mentality to an event mentality but were prompt, polite, and professional. But the chefs were the stars of the night -- in fact, the best lamb Ive ever had (and Im Scandinavian 😉)! And one of top five interactive pizza stations in the States so far! BoH deserves a strong commendation. Id definitely recommend Tunnel for daytime corporate and marketing events!
I went in with a group of my friends. We reserved a table with Dominic Alberico one of the club hosts. Nothing but good things as he took care of us and was very attentive checking in on the group and making sure all us were okay and enjoying our time. Sky was very lovely and brought our drinks to the table in a timely manner. Both employees at tunnel were great. Will definitely contact and be book reservations in the near future !!
Paid $700 for a table with a bottle of champagne and tequila. got 2 hours of table time before they kicked everyone out 40 minutes before close. refused to let me back in to get my wallet or phone that was left on the table that my “security” should have been guarding in the first place. read the reviews save your money go elsewhere, place is an absolute joke will never go or allow anyone i know to go there again. thieves
A group of my close friends were in the mood for a proper birthday celebration so we booked a night out at Tunnel. We havent been to the city in a while, so we relied on the expertise of the club host, Dominic Alberico, to make our reservation. The booking experience process was seamless, and Dominic got us the best seat in the house. We were a group of 8 business professionals, so we really appreciated the level of customer service and attentiveness that we received throughout the night. I definitely will be contacting him for party reservations in the near future. I highly recommend!
I work in the industry and the people at the door were extremely rude , racist and classists. There’s no need for that tone of approaches towards the customers. The girls in charge of charging need training in how to give people customer service . I’m never coming again .
I was here this weekend and the place was chill but I needed a break from the blasting music and crowd and went into the bathroom and ended up getting kicked out. Beware if you spend more than 20+ minutes in the bathroom they will kick you out without any explanation. They didn’t ask what was going on if u puked or you are over stimulated, just straight to getting kicked out. A little communication would have been nice before getting escorted outside by ego trips. Absolutely disappointing especially when with a group of like 10 girls
Tunnel has an electric atmosphere and a vibe that makes you want to party until dawn. The lights and music are always on point. The staff are very professional and attentive and they treat their guests right! We go out of our way to visit this club when we are in Chicago and it never disappoints. Would always recommend if you’re looking for a great night
Great service and music.staff was fun and professionalthe drinks were so good and my friends love there drinks too. I felt very safe and we all had a great time dancing and talking meet a lot of fun people
Nice night club. Quality drinks. The DJ the night we went to, which was Friday, was not so good. The crowd was kinda young very early 20s. Plenty of space on the dance floor and around in case you want to rest or get some air. The club is on the 3rd floor so there are stairs you need to battle to get there. Bouncers were super nice and helpful. It was a ladies free night but $20 for men to enter. And they do have a dress code, no joggers, which makes sense. Cool place!
Dominic Alberico proved to be a stellar guide for our groups night out. His expertise in managing our reservation at Tunnel was unmatched, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. With a keen understanding of our preferences, Dominic secured a prime spot for us, showcasing his dedication to providing top-notch service. We were impressed by his attentiveness and the personalized touch he brought to the entire evening. Without a doubt, well be reaching out to Dominic for future party reservations, as his commitment to delivering exceptional customer service left a lasting impression on us. Highly recommended!
The bouncers were horrible and RACIST. Literally turned us around for neck tattoos but allowed two people of a different race to come in after with neck tattoos!
Always have a wonderful time here! Celebrated my friends birthday here and they were generous enough to comp our bottle and provided excellent service.
Very unimpressed by the attitude of the staff. Every single staff member I interacted with, with the exception of the lady charging the cover charge at the door was unpleasant. The music was not good and the energy inside was dead. Would not return even if this was the only place open.
Went to celebrate a birthday and from the beginning our experience was sketchy. Bouncers will allow minors to go in with a $100 cover charge. Apparently if you throw up you have to leave (understandable) but this 5’5 hispanic “security” will use excessive force to get you out and assault the men in your group for NO reason even after we were all leaving. I honestly think he was just looking for a reason to get into a fight with somebody. We were thrown out by the cops/security and when we noticed two guys from our group were missing the door was shut in our faces and were told we couldn’t go back up to get the guys. I asked one of the 10 cops standing at the entrance to go and get our friends and they refused even after our group had gotten jumped by all of their security. Don’t go here unless you want to be overcharged and assaulted.
I recently attended a networking event and I enjoyed the venue, staff, and drinks. I enjoy working with Angel when I am looking for a promoter as he has the best offers and is extremely professional. Overall it’s an established business in River North.
Been here a few times with my girlfriends while visiting from Dallas. The music is always on point and the vibes are always great. Some of the best bar and server staff I’ve experienced at a nightclub. Definitely recommend for a girls night out!
Its ok. I question the dress code there. They said that you cant wear gym shoes or any sports attire. But as I enter into the club, I see men in hoodies, gym shoes, and shirts with no collars. I guess the dress code implies to a certain group of folks. Another thing, We paid $600.00 dollars for bottle service and we didnt drink all the alcohol. And they wont let you take it with you outside the club. Its ok to go there but for bottle service, naw skip that.
Do yourself a favor and book a table! This place is great! The staff are a little to serious about their jobs and can stuck up as hell but as long as you got your name on a list your good. If you don’t you’ll be waiting in lines and end up not even getting in. The place is huge, drinks are very pricy but strong, the music is amazing. I love the high ceiling look it has. The last time I went was for all star weekend so it was super crazy but I had a good time, would’ve had a better time if I wasn’t standing around the whole time. & Uber there!
Love this place! Food downstairs is good, the club is always packed. The music on Saturdays is my favorite. The servers are nice and we always had the best service from the staff. Thank you, will defiantly be coming back!
Went for a girls night & had the best time!! Our bartender was Abby & she was so sweet & attentive! She brought the VIBES! Amazing service & the DJ was on fire! Definitely suggest for a fun night out!
Male bartenders here aren’t nice.Male bartender with a ponytail steals. He charged an extra 101 on a tab. When we only bought 3 drinks at a time. How does our totals go from $35, $45,$43 to $101 dollars. We moved to another spot and of course went to the beautiful lady bartender. We let her know that she is so pretty and she was super super nice. Loved her
$20 entrance fee for men, free entrance for Women. Beware of the long lines. It takes around an hour to get in.Its so hard to get drinks from the bar. 2 bartenders working in the bar to cover entire club on a Saturday night. So you gonna shout and wawe in the bar to get attention of bartenders.Music was ok. Its crowded as expected on Saturday night.
My experience at Tunnel this weekend was amazing. The music was great, they played a variety on Saturday night from 2000s to EDM to rap (the last hour of the night). The dance floor and VIP table areas were very clean. The staff was extremely kind and helpful including security & bottle services girls. The bathrooms were clean with about 5-6 stalls. The crowd was pretty diverse White, Black, Asian, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern which made our group very comfortable. Everyone was getting along that night, no one was fighting and the men were not aggressive. For parking, there is a garage right across the street, use SpotHero for cheaper rates! Can’t wait to visit Tunnel again but I would highly recommend reserving a table like we did!
I came here for my birthday and it was so much fun! My friends from out of town loved it here. Tina was our server and she took care of us. High recommend
10 out of 10! I always have a blast. Music is great. You gotta always make sure to ask for Skinny! She gives the best service!!
I came to Tunnel to celebrate a birthday and got bottle service. The entire staff was super attentive and the bottle prices and drinks were amazing prices! Great music and nice crowd.
One of the best night clubs I have been to in Chicago. The drinks, music, and lighting system are the best I have seen. The Bartender, Tony, was fast and was friendly to talk too.
My group was out celebrating a bday. We waited in line for about 10 min with 3-5 other people. When we got in, after all of us paid their $20 cover, they told us two of us couldn’t go in because of neck tattoos.Which I get that that’s their policy but security could’ve told us while we were in line, before we all paid cover to get in? Even worse, it was the person’s bday who had a neck tattoo. So we ask the manager in the most non confrontational way for help. This short man with a bad perm and a sparkly blazer who seems to be trying to cling on to his youth for dear life did not care. He said there’s nothing he can do. We weren’t asking for an exception to the rule we just wanted our money back. When I asked why we weren’t told about the rule while we waited or before the whole party paid cover he just said it’s the rules. So then I even asked if we can maybe get a credit for next time we visit? He said no. I said, well then should we contact our bank and dispute the transaction? He said sure do whatever you want. The cashier looked embarrassed and empathetic and offered us to get us in next time, which we appreciate. But the worst thing is the person whose bday it was just left and it kinda ruined the whole night. We ended up going upstairs to salvage the night and of course, on a Saturday night the club is half empty. Drinks are $15-$18 each and they taste like dive bar poured drinks. The bartenders were at least nice. Though the vibe this place gave was definitely 21 year olds being pretentious and trying too hard. The DJ was mid. We enjoyed the music but in the two hours we were there he played 4 songs 3 times each. One of them being Soulja Boy. But each time the song was remixed differently so it wasn’t loop. By the 3rd time a song got played we all just looked at each other and felt kinda cringey even being there.Lastly, there was a guy who was blacked out of his mind. He’s either an employee or an affiliate because he was at the DJ booth and then behind the rope. He kept trying to talk to my boyfriend and I as he stumbled. We had to push him off of us because he was grabbing me and security guarding the DJ booth saw nothing. Then the guy comes around with shots for us and we felt so uncomfortable that after we said no thanks he just handed it to me so we walked away and put the shots at the bar.I’ve had people buy me drinks before, of course, but this guy seemed so predatory and was wasted. I wasn’t taking my chances. Though I also wondered why they kept pouring him drinks? He was absolutely wasted even an hour before that.anyway, we came here for a bday and it literally ruined the vibe. We probably won’t ever be back honestly.
Overall, this is a really dope club and youre destined to have a good time when coming to Tunnel. From the nights Ive been, I definitely have to say that Thursday and Friday got the best music (especially if youre into Latin, EDM, and Rap music). Some friends and I also got bottle service on a Friday and they have a great deal on two bottles relative to other clubs/bars in the area. I definitely didnt experience what a lot of the reviews here are saying about bouncers/security, I came on busy nights and everyone was super polite, kind, and chill. I have to note that the biggest problem with this club is that it closes too early on Friday nights; I think its around 01:30. Considering other spots in the area are open to about 03:00, I feel like Tunnel could definitely use the extra time, especially considering how fire the music is.
Been coming here for years and am beyond impressed with their management and team! Skinny took amazing care of us last weekend and made it a top priority that we had a great time! Definitely coming back
After spending over $350 on drinks and tickets, 15 minutes before they closed I wanted to use the bathroom. The manager said I had to pay the security guards money in order to use the bathroom. They did not let me use the bathroom to pee. He said “you have to take care of my people” meaning I had to give them money to use the bathroom. As they blocked me the entrance to the bathroom. This club is lead by a moron manager who does not appreciate his clientele. It is not even about the money is the fact that he was trying to get money over me using the bathroom.
Don’t go here. I was overcharged, I paid for drinks and tipped a certain amount they ended up changing it and I was charged more without my consent. Disputed it but my bank claimed since there was no “proof” they couldn’t do anything. Also service was bad and the drinks were so watered down. My first experience with them was also bad.
My friends and I decided we wanted to try out Tunnel and booked with Dominic Alberico. He is one of the hosts at the club and made sure we were taken care of the entire night! I highly recommend!
My absolute favorite club in the city. The energy and music there is always poppin. Everyone there is so nice especially Angel. We get well taken care of
Wotst night ever. We paid for bottle service, three bottles and at the end of the night they grabbed the full bottles from us. Also we were assaulted by bald guy in a gray sweater and while cops surrounded us Per the cops, they say we were engaging after they bald guy punched one of us in the face. We cant retailiate. The guy was standing around at the door with the rest of the tunnels security.
This place sucks! Was there Friday night and paid for bootle service but the bouncers were a-holes! They didn’t want to let my brother in because of his neck tattoo and my cousin because he was wearing cuffed joggers. No where on their website did it have a dress code explaining this. The bouncers wanted us to pay them to let them in. All they care about is making money and just because they have some sort of a badge they want to act all tough. The Manager Nick that we booked the bootle service with was no where to be found and didn’t even come out to help us with the situation. Don’t even bother wasting your time or money here!
Love going to tunnel on a night out. Abby is the best and always takes care of me and my friends! Always a good vibe and the best service.
This was my groups first time here, Wouldve rated it a one star, But the bouncer thats white(only one at the entrance last night) did a great job explaining the procedures and restrictions of this club, after another Hispanic bouncer had me take my hat and jacket off and proceeded to let others in with hats/beanies/jackets, while he also told me i can bring it in if i buy a table. I review night clubs on social media and from what I read tunnel had a high bar set but failed to live up to it. Moes Cantina on the other hand. Top notch great service, same ownership so its mostly the bouncer service that needs to stay consistent throughout, dont pick and choose who you restrict or dont. Doesnt look professional.
The least luxurious nightclub experience in River North. No space on the dance floor, rude employees, and they mainly only play reggaeton music. Anyone who gives this place a 5 stars must have never been to any other club. The people in attendance are rarely dressed to impress, and I saw many wearing casual clothes or t shirts. I once waited 90+ minutes to enter this club, the line was down the block and was not moving whatsoever, and we eventually gave up and went to Tree House next door. I now prefer going to Tree House every time and not pay cover or wait for two hours rather than paying a $20-40 cover for the lackluster experience of Tunnel.
Was recently in for my friends birthday and it was so much fun! Tina was our server and she was just on top of it. I’m ready for round 2 !
Went there on a friends birthday and he got a table on a Friday night, it was a good time. I went with my girlfriend and the DJ played a lot of old school music when we first got there a little after midnight. DJ kept changing the song every 15 seconds though and there was a $20 cover for men and women get in for free. Expect a dress code because these bouncers probably take their job a little too seriously but they let me in no problem. On Google it says they close at 2am but they turned the lights on at 1:20am and started encouraging people to leave. Overall it was an okay experience, definitely nothing special.
Very rude host . Booked a table for 15 to 20 people and got bottle service as well. They only got us a booth to seat 8. When I tried to speak to the person in charge they rudely said it’s a night club what did I expect. Never booking again . They wouldn’t let my guest in because they discriminated against his face tattoo and tattos that were not even gang related saying it was against their dress code policy. When asked to see a copy of their policy they said they didn’t have one . Very rude place .
Absolutely stupid security guards at the entrance, they didn’t let me in wearing sandals
Their staff sucks, bouncers and bartenders are rude and dont really care about anyone. Have been there one time and will probably never go again. The place itself is nice but if they had better staff it’d be worth going here.
Every week go to spot.Shout out to Angel and Charlie and the bottle girls for always making the experience unforgettableAll the tunnel team always friendly and makes the vibe even better.
My favorite spot in river north! The music and atmosphere is always on point. Definitely recommend for a night out!
This place is amazing. Super fun time.! Staff was GRRRREEEEEAAAAAT! If you’re looking for a fun night… this is the place.!! TINA YOU WERE AWESOME
I spent a night out at Tunnel and it was so much fun. It’s one of the hottest night clubs in River North! Tunnel is super spacious and is the perfect spot for a high-energy nightlife experience including VIP treatment. They had amazing drinks, a top tier DJ and an overall lively atmosphere. I had bottle service and the bottle girls are always so nice. It’s the best hot spot to take you and your besties for a night out. You & your friends will always have a memorable night @ Tunnel!
The worst Staff. Has no idea of what is being said to patrons over the ph who booked bottle service. We were told we didn’t have to wait in a line if we paid for a section (couch). Nope, incorrect made the bride wait in the line while others flashed $100 to get in, so wrong. Once we get to the entryway, $20 cover expected if you arrive right behind your other guest due to trying to park your vehicle. Complete chaos, Staff rude and has no idea what is being promised. Manager Raul had to be called who at least waived the cover charge after we begged. Cover charge girl sitting on looking at us annoyed as if we did something wrong. Don’t book for brides here unless you receive confirmation w/instruction from a Manager.
My brother and I left the club and we talked to 4 people on the way out to four different checkpoints; we will be right back! All four people said okayWhen we came back the main bouncer, supposedly called jay, and the girl who gives out the stamps said we dont recognize you!We said we have tabs open and we were one of the first ones hereThe officer that pats us down; said, yeah let them in, I recognize them. All I said was why are you going to stamp people on the wrist when you cant let them in? To the stamp girl. The main bouncer, got his feelings hurt from the questioning and said we are good, I squashed it and began to kick me out! (And proceeded to tell everyone that I was being an a hole; for which I never have cursed or treated a hospitality employee badly, because I have been one for the past 10 years)Both were wanting to charge us 20 dollars each because they didnt recognize us. But after the other employees did, it didnt matter. It was all about ego.Moments later I confronted the other employees and they agreed with me and said that I have been respectable and had a calm demeanor compared to how other people wouldve handled it,.Please dont go Here! They dont deserve your business..
They deserve ZERO stars! The customer service is HORRIBLE! The employees areRACIST. My friends were ordering drinks at the bar when the bartender IOANNA insulted my friend (whose birthday we were celebrating), asking why were we F**** outside if we aren’t tipping. My friend didn’t even get a chance to sign the receipt or grab HER CASH before they were surrounded and forced out of the facility by 6 men because of IOANNA’s DISRESPECTFUL AND NASTY attitude. On top of that they didnt let our BLACK male friends inside of the building and told them it is not that kind of party made them exist the line.
Went to Tunnel with me and my group of girls and it was a blast! Bottle service was great (request a sign for your bday/bachelorette or bachelor party/etc) and the servers took really good care of us. The vibe was amazing too - there was a DJ who played all night and people were super high energy and fun!
Matt and Vince helped us out with a great event. If you are looking for a team or corporate event, this is the crew that will take care of you and ensure a good time. 7 hours of fun!
Avoid. This was a terrible experience. I went here before Covid and it was good. I decided to have a graduation celebration here this weekend and it was not the same. I made a reservation weeks in advance for 16 people and had to agree to a large table minimum. That’s fine, I have done bottle service at many other clubs and that is typical. Half my party walked in with me and the other half were on their way. When the other half my party arrived they were told to wait in a huge line with everyone else trying to get in. 2 of them paid cover to get up to me. What is the point of making a reservation for 16 and paying a table minimum up front if my party can’t come in?? I had to walk down stairs to the front door and was still told by the door men that it is policy. Everyone, even people paying for bottle service, have to wait in the huge line. It makes no sense. Why should I reserve a VIP booth then??AVOID. I know for clubs this review means nothing but It’s a sloppy place with terrible customer service and awful DJs.
First post ever, for the worst place ever! It was the worst club experience Ive had ( and Ive been to many clubs over the US and in the world) for several reasons being:1. Beware of the bottle service rules. My friend got a table for us and was inside the club. But the bouncer wouldnt let myself and another friend join the table, saying that all members of the table had to be present at the time of purchase of the bottle. Most ridiculous rule Ive heard of, and something that was not communicated to us. We had to grease to get to our own table and were pretty much treated like trash.2. Speaking of the bouncer, the entire entrance staff is extremely rude. The bouncer gave me attitude, personally cussed me out, told me to hurry the **** up and more while showing him my ID, all because I told him that I thought the bottle service rule was ridiculous and that we already payed. One of the girls who works the front cussed us out as well while we were walking in because we forgot to get stamps (I admit I wasnt really paying attention because I was still processing what the bouncer said) even after our friend payed extra to let us in after getting bottle service. Bottom line, do not buy bottles here.3. In general, I just got vibes of a very low place. I was warned by a female friend of mine who said she was assaulted here. I was there this past Saturday and when we left there was of course a fight going on outside. 5 or 6 people, many running through the streets to get away from the police, who arrested at least 1 person.4. Way too crowded. Getting drinks spilled on you is often the norm, but it felt like a bit too much.5. One decent thing was they have a cool lighting system. Doesnt mean much though when the music stank. In general, maybe a place you try to go to while in college, but definitely not for those entering their mid 20s. Youre better off at just about any other bar or club in the city, trust.
Yo this place was sooooo LIT! Not only was the music on point but them bartenders was killing it. Especially that boy Toni!! He tender with the bar!
Worst place ever! Service was horrible and the bouncers are racist and only care about taking your money. One of the bouncers wanted us to pay extra because we weren’t in “dress code” save your money and go elsewhere!
The bartenders ruin the whole experience (10/29). Both the girls at each bar had a nasty attitude and no facial expression. Smile for a chance !!! I paid with my card and was going to tip cash when I looked up the bartender was already huffing and puffing that I did not tip. She did not even give me a chance to pull cash out. They should really train or invest in professional bartenders
This place was over crowded. Shoulder to shoulder full of people and it was hard to enjoy ourselves. Had a bottle service, but beware of theives walking around stealing your bottles or random people helping themselves to your drinks. Most of those people were friends of the bouncers and the door girls. They were seen laughing it up, having a hug and walking in without paying. Had to get in someones face because he was trying to walk off with our bottle. This was not an employee, either. Should have read the reviews here. Only 2 good things about this place, the music and the black dude watching the door checking stamps. He was very nice. I gave an extra star because of him. Otherwise, it would have been 1 star. Check the reviews, first. Mostly negatives....
This venue is massive! Drinks are cheap for a nightclub $9-$15. They have different genres of music playing Thursday- Sunday. Bartenders/ servers are hot and really nice!! Staff all around create a great atmosphere.
My experience at tunnel was so much fun. I had a table and the bouncers outside were very nice and let me right in. My server was Ellie and she was amazing. Such great energy, super sweet, and she really took care of me and my girls all night. The music was good, we were definitely dancing the entire time there. If you go to tunnel, definitely go see Ellie!
I loved the music!! The staff were so nice and it made a great space to make friends!!
My first time here, Mike offered us a table for my birthday. He promised 3 champagne bottles on the house if 2 bottles are purchased. Once the entire group arrived to Tunnel I walked down to go walk them in. I was not allowed entry back. Do not deal with this club they will not respect you. If only the employees knew more about customer service...
Tunnel was such a great time! Its the perfect spot to bring a friend group. I loved the club atmosphere and that its located right in the heart of River North. The music and lighting were amazing! Tunnels where you go for a high-energy, fun night out!
Reserved a table in advance for an exuberant amount of money and they didn’t even honor it when we got there. Bouncers were incredibly rude, customer service was awful, and overall an extremely unpleasant experience. Didnt even get in despite reserving in advance because line wait was so long it closed early. Find a better bar that will treat you right, and take your business somewhere else.
Went on a Thursday and have gone a couple times now. I went Thursday for their reggaetón night and to my surprised I was not let in since I had a shirt that was “white”. First it was a light yellow and second of all one of their staff had a white t shirt anyways. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. No real reason why i couldn’t wear my shirt and just cause it’s the dress code but didn’t state this anywhere. Third and finally it is ridiculously priced for what it is. Guys cover of $20+ and drinks are pricey for what they are. Was charged about $200 for 5 shots and 4 Coronas. Better spot is next to it @ Moesupdate; if your a male they can charge you $40 dollars. For $20 that’s fine but $40 the place is not worth it. If your a girl they let you in for free as long as you follow their Instagram.
I’ve been visiting bars all around downtown and this has definitely THE WORST staff I’ve met. Since you’re at the door they don’t let you in (group of 10 people) because one guy had a “jogger” which was khaki pant fabric, no cotton, much more dressy than blue jeans. And then we walked away and a group of 3 guys ALL literally with gray sweatpants are let in???? What a weak “dress code” you guys have :) if I could give it zero stars I would.
Fun place to go out!! My husband and I enjoyed it very much our server Ellie was very sweet! So accommodating and super energetic. Experience was great to the ability of what any nightclub can pull during this pandemic! We are going to game tomorrow!!
Recommend for any event or just a night out! The vibes are great! Grest music and service!
Nasty bartenders. Guy with the ponytail/long hair by the ear refused to give water to people want to sober up. He was upset because he knew he wouldnt get a tip. Hes the reason why people go missing after a night out. Bouncers are money hungry and will straight up lie to your face. Take your money and run away from here!
I went here to celebrate my 30th birthday with a group of 7 people and myself. Mike, the vip manager was extremely friendly and professional. I had a million questions ,he answered them all promptly. We arrived later than expected, the door was crazy trying to get in( mike did tell us ahead of time). I reserved a booth for 8 people (2 bottle min.+tax and 20% gratuity). When we got in the booth was way too small for 8 people. We upgraded to the vip booth near the dj booth (1000.00 min+tax and 20% gratuity). My only complaints are as followed: it was way too hot, but I guess that is to be expected in a packed nightclub. Our booth was too small for our amount of people, kinda inconvenient trying to upgrade last minute. They close at 230am ,when alot of other places close way later. We had excellent service no issues whatsoever. I recommend going here and getting bottle service. I will definitely be back!
Dress code was only enforced for darker-skinned Black and brown men. My friend was denied immediately after a white man with the same outfit was let in. The bar tender added their own tip after I had signed my receipt, I only found this out after checking my bank statement.
Dont know what its like inside, couldnt get in. On the website it says the dress code is Relaxed business casual where tshirts were okay but jogger style black jeans are not.
Bouncers pick and choose who they allow to enter based on looks. My Indigenous friends were denied entry at 1am because they “closed at 2” and three yt girls cut us in line, talked to the bouncer, and were let in, and when asked why “one of them worked there” but couldn’t tell us her name or what her job is. Despicable
Worst place ever!! Don’t trust Irving Olea he takes peoples cards and then gets you kicked out!! He tries to tell security you are being rude and disrespectful even though you aren’t doing anything!!!! When you zTalk to the security they even try to “investigate” but don’t really do anything about it! One of the security guards even told us “ you guys better just leave they’re not going to really do anything about it I’m really sorry they’re just going to call to cops”!
Tunnel is the worst nightclub I’ve ever attended. Our group made reservations for a table and bottle service. The front door wouldn’t let half of our group in and constantly questioning them even though we only had a total of 6 people because of COVID-19 restrictions. They said our table was maxed out when we only had two people waiting at the table for an hour. When our group was finally allowed up, they wouldn’t let us get any alcohol or approach the bar and we had to pay a cover at the door. So essentially we all paid $10 to get into the club, sat around waiting to join our friends for a total of 10 mins without any drinks or food and we ended up leaving and they wouldn’t refund us our cover charges.Inconvenient, poor customer service, slow service even with minimal guests, no communication and no refunds. Awful experience, will never recommend to my friends in future endeavors.
Rude white guy bouncer. I could not believe the other reviews. Until he stalled our booked birthday party from entering.
I had a great time here! Staff was friendly. Shoutout to Angel for taking care of my people and I.
This place is overall super fun. Probably the best night club Chicago has to offer, especially if you get a table. The place is enormous and overall the staff, people, and vibe is just a fun time! Highly recommend for the club scene in Chicago.
Would rate less than one star if possible. Took a friend’s valid ID, on my birthday, and refused to let him in to celebrate with me. They refused to give the ID back to my friend and we had to get law enforcement involved to get the ID back. Got management involved, and management told me that we needed to leave, while being civil and professional. Please don’t waste your time or money.
Very rude staff, don’t waste your time, they will ruin your night.
Not sure why this place receives so much hate. I had a pretty great experience here.Tunnel is a nightclub located in the River North neighborhood of Chicago.I came here for a friends coworkers birthday party here and had a good time. We had no issues getting in and finding our friends group. We came during 11-1130PM so it wasnt too crowded at the time.As the night progressed, the place got more and more crowded. It was so crowded to the point that it was a hassle to move around and even staying still meant getting pushed by different groups of people. But I cant be upset about a business being successful. The DJ playing that night focused heavily on contemporary as well as 2000s hiphop. Though there were random transitions to different genres that I was not expecting. IIRC, we heard a random rock song in there or two before the night was over. It was a bit silly but my group loved it. The effects and lights are also one of the strong points of Tunnel.Bartenders were extremely slow even at times when the bar was empty. Not sure if they didnt see me but it took a rather long time to get tended to. Expect about a 10-15m wait at times and $$ on drink prices. I wasnt able to capture much of the drink selection but it looked pretty standard with no memorable offerings that stuck out.Restrooms are towards the back (opposite of DJ) and take a lot of wiggling through to get there. There is a restroom attendant on staff and toilets were clean.Leaving the place was a bit of a hassle. There are two stairs in Tunnel. One is strictly for entrance while the other is strictly for leaving. We got held up by a group carrying an extremely drunk friend down the stairs that took more time than Id like. Bouncers yelled at people who stood on the stairs without moving.Id give this place a 4/5. Id definitely recommend this place to others and wouldnt mind coming back. Yet, some things felt off here keeping it from a 5/5. Maybe a later visit will bump it up.
Such a cool and fun place to hang out with friends and turn up, grab some drinks and listen to good music. Everyone go visit Ellie! She’s the best and will make sure your experience is worth every penny! She keeps the drinks flowing and will take great care of you and your group. Looking for a good turn up spot on Hubbard...definitely stop in Tunnel!
Tunnel always has great music and vibes! Service staff is incredible too, love them!
My first time here was last night..I had a really good time. I went there at 9:30 and entered the venue realquick, nolines or any other problem. The bartender was awesome and very attentive..Everything was great!!!
Rude racists emeployees especially the bouncers and host at the front, the girl checking people in was texting the whole time and wouldn’t let my boyfriend in all because he was Arab. The girl continues texting and there was no line.
Horrible behavior at the front door. Didnt let us enter even when we were wearing proper trousers and everything. Then they let some white people enter with even torn jeans and all . Then the guys asked as $20 bucks extra on top of the cover charge if we wanted to get in. Horrible horrible behavior..and this didnt happen once.. it happened multiple times....never going back
The service was horrible. Paid $500 dollars for a table only to have to share it with another group because they over booked. Then it took over an hour for us to receive the bottles that came with the table. I had to chase down the server for an hour just to get them. The bartenders were drunk or on something and didnt no how to pour a drink. I would never recommend this place. If I could I would give it zero stars.
We reserved a table for 10 people and order countless bottles. For us to only wait in a line for the bathroom and while waiting, we asked bartenders for water. And every single bartender ignored us like we weren’t speaking to them despite the amount of money we are already spending. Other people that ordered drinks from them are the only people who order drinks. Not to mention the fact the DJ changed the song every 10 seconds.
First off this place is nothing special compared to other clubs downtown. The reason why Im giving you 1 star ( I wish I could give you 0 instead) is because I went there for a friends birthday. I paid for bottle service only to get kicked out 15 minutes afterwards. I never received a reason for you not letting me back in after I went out to have a cigarette. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never go here again. For all those who are thinking about there, be careful when you go outside for a smoke or you might not be allowed back in for no reason.
This club picks and chooses who they want to let in ! I was told I couldn’t get into the club bc i had a tattoo on my neck (a baby butterfly).. the tattoo is the size of two quarters, it seemed like it was some sort of discrimination
Bouncers pick and choose who they let in. Great strategy to lose money truly! You’re better off staying at home. You can show up presentable and they’ll pick on a small thing on why they can’t let you in.
Customer service was really bad, deserved a 1-star for it. Music was okay. It was more like a pub than a nightclub to me. Lights decoration was simple and did not attract enough.
It was fun up to the point when the entrance didn’t let me get my jacket when I left it for the coat check the guy there was so thirsty he didn’t give me a number he just let me leave it there and then I left and came back right after they only let my friend look for it and why does that make sense idk why but they couldn’t find it and they left me with no jacket for the night I just wanted it back I didn’t even care about going back in the entrance people are rude and have no common sense.
Went in flawlessly, got our drinks quickly [sex on the beach]👍 polite bartender girl, the music was good until the nonstop hiphop continued thats when I got bored and left. Overall the space is big and exciting.
This place is absolute TRASH dont even waste your time. After waiting in line 25 min The guy refuses our entry because of a bhuddism neck tattoo my boyfriend has. He continues to tell us its part of their dress code. Since when is tattoos considered dress code?? Not only are we both professional models and dressed accordingly. Im extremely baffled how they are able to make excuses up on the spot to deny entry based off their own prerogative.
They need to fire the girl in the front nasty attitude and the bouncer and the host won’t respect when it says ladies free of cover charge online. They will still make you pay and pocket the money.
Most tunnels I’ve found to be dark, but this Tunnel is LITTTTT. Shout out to my dawg Tony - best damn service of anywhere in Chicago
Love this place! A couple of my friends and I had a table last weekend, our server Ellie was amazing! She was Very attentive and took great care of us, We’ll definitely be back!!
The woman at the entrance was so rude for no reason we ended up paying more even tho we were both ladies. We decided to go in bc we were already there but never again! This club ain’t it go elsewhere
The worst night club i have ever been to. they charged us for two champaign bottles that we never even ordered, when they brought it over we told them numerous times to take it back so we dont get charged and they said its on the house so we drank it. we got the bill at the end of the night and ofcourse we were charged. they are notorious for pulling this!
I was escorted out because I was too drunk. As a part of the food and beverage industry, I am highly offended, because I was indeed not drunk. I offended absolutely no one, and the fact that I was pulled from my group was humiliating and offensive. I expected much better.
One of the best nightclubs in Chicago, especially Thursdays. Always a blast!
It’s just bad! Way too pricey for what it is and the music is bad!!!!! I know all clubs have bad reviews but please don’t go to this one
The club was about to close at 2am and they stopped music and asked people to go out around 1.15am!The floor was pretty big and have space for around 300 people.Drinks are good and expensive !
Went out last weekend with some friends and somehow we ended up at tunnel. First time here and had the best time. Good music all night, good drinks and great service.
The bouncer would not allow my friends into the club. Extremely rude and as taking payment for their entrance decided they needed to deny them and refund us. It was a true injustice and unfair.
Awful vibe, staff was too rude and it reeked inside—not just that sweaty club smell but like something died in there. if you’re looking for a good time, or even a half decent time tbh, go elsewhere
When they don’t like our kind, they say no chains, no jerseys, no Jordan’s, no timbs, no white T’s and no sagging. They will basically describe a black man when they don’t want a certain crowd in their establishment. I hate that this happened to someone i love 💔
Door staff lied about the prices for bottle service. Also staff doesnt really enforce the mask policy. The dj for the night was also mediocre. This isnt the same tunnel we used to know...
Tina was 10/10. Service was on point and I already can’t wait to come back!
The bouncers will let a large group of guys in before women. They will also lie and say you can get in when you have a table and you jump out of line, then you keep standing and waiting in the cold.
Sean Mac! That guy was LIT! Seen some bad reviews but I definitely had a blast! Security is Strict only because its their job!! Place was great!
Absolutely trash establishment. Bouncers pick and choose who they let in. Couldn’t decide on if the cover was $10 or $20. Don’t waste your money here
Another homophobic night club in Chicago. Again was told I can’t go in with short shorts and a tanktop.Right next to Tree House. Avoid these places at all costs.
Rude bouncers, bad crowd, super tacky music. also, this place reeked of a pungent smell. maybe gasoline?? it was unbearable.
DANGER Bought tickets from an approved third-party organizer for your St. Patrick’s Day events, and Tunnel would not honor it and let our group in because they were full supposedly but we were told that we had to add a BRIBE.
Amazing music and great ambiance! the drinks are priced averagely ! but the atmosphere is great and a great place to bring your friends!
Super ghetto, made reservations several at that. For no one to still get back to me dmed the ig page they replied for 2 mins and still didn’t help with anything I needed help with. Y’all deserve the luh 2.3 stars y’all got. Do tf better
The club was a mess. There was a lady who worked in the bathroom screaming at everyone to tip her while doing nothing for it. Something was wrong with the toilets and there was water all over the floor.
It’s so ghetto here. Dirty bathrooms, unexperienced “bartenders” I’m not sure how they’re “bartenders” they don’t know how to mix drinks.
Great music and service by this bartender named Tony.
Couldn’t get in because of a non gang related neck tattoo. Meanwhile the bouncer had two full sleeves. Bouncers take their job too serious and we’re very rude.
Really BAD SERVICE in this Night ClubI went to celebrate my wifes birthday and the manager was so rude when asked about the event. Don’t waste your money here. The place deserves other management !
That place is racist even the bottle girls the security doesn’t like to see black people come in the whole place a mess in their
Waited in line as soon as it was time to pay for my coverage charge I was told I was not able to go in for a non gang related neck tattoo, nowhere in the dress code does it say anything about tattoos, security takes this job a bit serious lol for a mediocre bar/night club they will find a excuse to boot you out of line wouldn’t recommend
This place thinks they are elite but they are just a basic version of any other downtown establishment. Nothing special. Expensive cover and nothing fun inside.
This place is pretty lit. Large, good service. Good music.
I really like the place but get a new girl to work at the front because she was extremely rude. Saturday 7.28. Like not even exaggerating. Very unprofessional.
Music was so annoying actually ..entranced and service just ok
My friend and I both got our phones stolen from here last night, talked to every person of authority possible and was told it happened the previous night as well to two other people and there was nothing they could do about it.
Haven’t been but based off the reviews I’m better off staying at home then going here 🤮
Got kicked out for no real reason. Some employee girl said I gave her the elbow.... have never seen something so stupid.... AVOID!
Had a great time here for my friends birthday! Great music and vibes, will definitely be back
Had such a fun time here for my friends party! Great club to go out in River North! Will be coming back!
The bouncers take their job way too seriously and will arbitrarily turn people away or make something up about their dress code.
Kicked out within 7 min of being in the establishment for not having the rude and racist bartender a tip.
Great vibes and fun atmosphere!
Not sure why my last post got deleted. Recently went back here, said GK at the door, no hand job this time. This place must be under new management.
This place is TRASH. First and last time going there. Paid for bottle service and they didnt tell us that we had it until a certain time. Once that time hit, got kicked out.
Super cool venue, we had a blast providing them with the Selfie Booth!
Terrible service. 0/10 would recommend. Dont come here unless youre planning on getting kicked out. So, DONT COME HERE!
The bouncer and host are racist and pick and choose who they let in.
I was very surprised we had no waiter for a BB out 30 minutes
Have a bigger variety of music. Yall might as well hire me as Dj.
Great atmosphere, gets crowded at midnight. Come with a lot of friends.
Door guy wouldn’t let us in but yet he accepted cash from another guy who was trying to get in.Trash of place.
Vomiting venue. Indeed. The service is awfully poor
My first time being here and I thought it was gonna be bumping, music was horrible. Did not have fun.
Great atmosphere and awesome bartenders!! Gianna is amazing:)
Always have a great time at Tunnel! Friendly staff and great music!
Owners should burn the place down. Don’t waste your time.
Good food, good service, the best beer from Argentina and chicago
Worst security. Not a great place to vibe.
The best club in Chicago!!!
The most unprofessional establishment I have experienced in a long time.
Refused entry unless min 1000$ for a table.... lol
Just a gross place in general. Mean staff and dirty.
So y’all are Homophobic too huh
Was planning on going but after seeing these reviews I rather not waste my money 😒
Fun. Expensive 4 drinks $50
Great food and good drinks
Just no
So bad
The music is hot garbage
Agree with the common theme about how horrible this place is
Good place to have fun
Great music
Got kicked out!!!
Unprofessional and disrespectful
Great service!
😍😍
Worst service
Great place!
Love this place
No Tunnels.
Super bad coordination at the entrance, Im really disappointed. I came to celebrate my birthday. I arrived at 10 and at 12:30, everyone was still in line, sneaking in. Security never did anything, there were VIP people IN LINE. I really dont recommend this place to anyone. 👎
Because of a tattoo they wont let me in, terrible service at this club
This place is beautiful / the atmosphere is very good ❤️ I love this place
A buffet of 2 egg tacos?!?! Thats not buffet Alv
Incredible shows :)
