Stagger Inn

I’ve been going here for probably about a decade, since it switched from Redmonds and last night, I literally got kicked out for taking a LIVE TikTok 😂 just chilling in the bar lol it blew my mind. So, be mindful I guess. Don’t get your camera out.No other bars on the block have reviews this low, that should tell you a lot.

The night just ended and my group of friends was on their way out when a bouncer grabbed my friends arm and then threw it away while the bartenders screamed “get the f*** out!!” It was incredibly aggressive and inappropriate.

Total “college” bar. But very fun on a late Friday night. All the bartenders were awesome and the live music was great too! If your 30+ I wouldn’t say this is your scene! Still fun!

This bar is a discriminatory and transphobic environment. Me and my partner went in for drinks, and I had to use the restroom. As a transmasc individual, I went into the “men’s” room because using the restroom is a basic human right and toilet stalls are not gendered. A bouncer followed me in, blocked me from leaving the stall, and escorted me all the way out of the building. I didn’t even get to wash my hands. I was not allowed back into the building. My partner had already bought drinks and was forced to dump them before leaving the premises. If you are looking for a space in which you can use the restroom in peace, this is not the place. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I will not be returning.

I sat down. Stuck up rich girl bartender told them kick me out. Not gone lie, it’s 2023 and I get kicked out for sitting. I had on a notre damn jacket, she must not like the fighting Irish..?? Idk she lame

As an older women (50). We were very disrespected and denied entrance. Told to come back in an hour. I had 12 people with me. A great loss of money to your establishment. Recommend a new door man he is power tripping. Very disrespectful to his elders (2/18/23).

If I could give this place a 0/5, I would. Me and my friend just left wildcat saloon with drinks and went down to the Stagger inn. We walked in with our drinks from wildcat, and bought a couple shots and a drink inside. When we left, the bouncer told us to finish our drinks. We went back in and finished the ones we bought at the stagger inn but left with the ones we bought at wildcat. He followed after us, cussing at us, and grabbed the drinks out of our hands and dumped them into the road. Service inside was amazing but when you walk out the door, all fun is taken away.

I Was in town for one night with some friends. I asked the bartender at my hotel lobby bar, where I could go and watch the NASCAR race. She suggested we go to the Stagger Inn. I am so glad I chose to follow her advice. The tender put the race on for us and kept bringing cold beer throughout. Would definitely go back if I found myself in this town again!!!

If you want to drink watered down drinks with the worst people you knew in high school head on down to stagger inn! If you haven’t experienced a hate crime personally, come here, your luck will change!

Good drinks friendly staff. Bands are just ok. Not a very clean place bathrooms are filthy tv’s barely hanging on the wall needs much improvement.

I went to Stagger Inn after a Kentucky game this past winter. My girlfriend is an alum and we went for one drink at one of her favorite bars. Service and drinks were fine. We had a bill of about 10-15 bucks total. No problems. A few weeks later I notice that Ive been charged 150 dollars from Stagger Inn. I contact the restaurant via email, they responded at first but have since refused to present to me any form of receipt or cooperate at all. Someone from the restaurant either tipped themselves 140 ish dollars or mixed my tab with someone elses. Regardless, the bar stole almost 150 dollars from me and has refused to do anything to make it right. Awful people who dont deserve your money- and might steal it if they get a chance. Shame on the managers and ownership.

Great atmosphere. Not anywhere to sit at night though, which isnt really a negative just an observation. The live bands are usually really good and provide for a nice change from the typical Lexington bar.

Im baffled, I brought my European friends to Kentucky out to the nightlife of Lexington, and of all bars, the Stagger Inn is the only one that they would not allow in according to ABC laws. They stated that they needed and an American issued ID. This is crazy. We have went into the majority of bars here in the city and the Stagger inn is the only one that you cannot get into. DO NOT VISIT THIS BAR. this is completely discriminatory against anyone who is not American. Craziness. i will tell everyone to not visit this place. Stay away from the Stagger inn.

Overpriced drinks with the most insufferable people at the university of kentucky

If I could give them zero stars, I would. My roommates brother is in town from another country and the bouncer denies him entry because he doesnt have an American ID. He has a valid Columbian ID and a picture copy of his passport on his phone and the bouncer says “we only accept United States ID here.” He says “its a rule here” and I said “you should talk to your manager about that rule” and he says “Yeah I probably wont” I then say “that rule is stupid because people like my roommate who are on a student visa cannot get a United States License” which then he replys by saying “ youre stupid” (which really just shows his lack of intellect). Ignorant employees with horrible customer service. Oh and the bouncer was a bigger guy with a tan carhart jacket and black beanie.

Love this place. Its kind of a dive but thats what I love about it. Great bartenders. I staggered out. C is the man. L is a close second. All around great time. Stop if your in the area

If I could I would leave 0 stars. Left my wallet at bar have called on multiple occasions. Nobody will answer the phone no one will call me back. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to spend your money. Service sucks!

Favorite bar in Lexington by far

Nice atmosphere, pool table, stage for live music, and good location. Drinks are overly expensive but everything else is ok

This is where people are, but bartenders are hard to get. Bouncers keep fun behavior to a minimum.

If you are someone with a disability I would not recommend this bar, they will not allow you service dog to come into the bar with you because they are a “Private bar” the man was terribly rude about the situation so fair warning

Awesome country bar downtown. Their live music is always great! Super fun place.

Bartender was absolutely awful. She looked at me in the eye several times and then proceeded to serve other people who had walked up after me. Pitiful service
