First timer.I really loved my Swedish massage. My masseuse was Kathy, she was kind, asked if I was comfortable during the massage. I wish to spend like another hour in there. The amenities are great !!! They have sauna too available when you reserve a service. Also, the hotel where the local is located is beautiful. I would definitely try to come back. All the staff was friendly since reception, cleaning staff, everyone.
I think I just had the best massage I’ve ever had in my life here. Do yourself a favor and book a massage with Kim! She is an absolute master, the way she knew exactly where I needed attention, she was so intuitive and caring, used just the right amount of pressure. I’ve been working through some emotional and physical issues and she just knew exactly where I needed attention! She worked on the areas I needed work on with such care and strength. I’m absolutely rejuvenated and got just what I needed and more. Will definitely be back! The spa itself is a nice and relaxing setting, the temperature was comfortable, they sell great products, prices reasonable, and the staff was lovely.
I was not entirely happy with the service I received today. My masseuse did not speak English. First, the appointment started late. I’m accustomed to being asked what type of pressure I would like to receive and if there any parts of my body that I would not like to be touched. I’m used to being asked if I would like an additional blanket or having a heated table/pad. During the session, the masseuse’s phone rang and later she received additional messages. She did not stop to answer it, but it was distracting. My friend and I completed the survey at the beginning and requested that we have an aromatherapy oil massage. We did not receive it, but we also were not charged so that was good. While overall our massages were good, there was definitely a difference in the style and approach, even though we both requested a Swedish massage. In the bathroom, the ceiling tiles had mold growing on them. For the rating we saw online, the price of the service, and the mandatory 20% gratuity, I expected a better experience.
The spa was great, right in DTLA. I had Carla. She was so helpful in understanding my problems and pain points, and gave so many tips that I could leave with. She was very adamant of helping and making sure I felt better. I came in specifically for sports related tensions and pains, and she worked them all out. She paid a lot of attention to what I told her and she had a calm nature. I was impressed with this spa. Thanks! Also included a sauna, showers, etc.
Front desk staff was friendly. Tea/water, comfortable chairs, magazine, and a lounge room all available inside. Quiet room. Esthetician Elizabeth was extremely knowledgeable and talked me through the process while answering any questions I had. I bought her recommendations. Tip 20% is included.Only con is street parking is $5/hr. Still, worth the visit.
Such a wonderful experience! I visited DESUAR while visiting LA and it was the best choice I could have made. My therapist Kim was exceptional, and the staff and facility were wonderful also. After my message and treatment, I spent the day at the hotel enjoying lunch near the indoor fountains and then in a fabulous room with a great view of LA. This will be my first stop whenever Im back.
I got there an hour and a half early to just relax and enjoy before my massage. The steam room wasn’t working nor was the Sauna getting hot. The aesthetic wasn’t relaxing. The carpet was dark and old looking. It just wasn’t what I was expecting when I booked it at the Westin.The receptionist was very sweet and hospitable. The peach Bellini she offered me was great.The massage table didn’t have the heating pad under it to keep your body warm when they lift the sheets. The room didn’t have any calming music playing. It was complete silence. The massage just felt like someone was rubbing me. It was no pressure and it wasn’t relaxing at all. It wasn’t what I was use to nor what I was expecting. However I paid because he rendered a service. I will NOT be going back. The website is very misleading. The website is so bright and modern and the place is dark and not modernized.I’m convinced the reviews are fake. The spa looks nothing like the pictures posted. I’m not sure if they are getting them mixed up with another place but the spa looks nothing like the pictures posted.
For a 3 hour massage, I expected much better. The practitioner was friendly, but I’ve had much better massages. The steam room afterwards smelled like mildew and I couldn’t stand to be in there. Getting dressed, there was no indication of where I should put my used rubber flip flops so I left them on the floor by the lockers. Made me wonder if they ever clean them? I should also note I did not see another client the entire time I was there (total of 4 hours). Bottom line, if you are staying at the Westin Bonaventura in LA and you really want a massage, it is convenient, but I definitely would not splurge on the pricier lengthier massages. They automatically add on 25% at the end and admit that full amount doesn’t go to the practitioner.
Such a great experience. My fiancé and I needed a couples massage after a stressful week. The pair of masseuses were wonderful for our Swedish “Fassage” and our aestheticians were hilarious and fun! We didn’t check out the sauna, but the relaxation room with a glass of wine on their comfortable love couches was exactly what we needed. We’re excited to come back soon.
I walked in for a last-minute massage. The front desk was very attentive, offering me sweet wine, a robe, and a locker for my belongings. It was a long day after spending most of it at the court. I had a wonderful massage by Sofia. Despite the language barrier, her healing hands spoke volumes.
My second time coming to this place, and I absolutely love it. Got my massage with Kim and had to make sure I booked with her again because, my god, does she know exactly what to do, to hit all the right spots. Her hands are pure magic and have left feeling refreshed and ready to go back to work. The place is very neat, clean, and has a nice calming atmosphere. Thank you Kim and Desuar spa!!
Im no stranger to massages, Ive had many around the world- I think one of my posts was from a place in Hong Kong, but I digress. Its always a nail-biter trying a new place, but so happy we took the chance. I had a sciatic nerve attack a previous day and my back was a mess. Usually massages are just for pleasure and stress relief, but this was necessary to function. Kim, my masseuse took great care of me. She LISTENED to my concerns and followed through. Checked on me regularly about pressure level and got to business. Her positive energy and sure strokes untied the mess of my lower back and the knots in my shoulders. It didnt hurt- and I can take pain! Do you know how amazing it felt to be relaxed, able to walk straight, with a new neck, and not feel like I got beat up? Go see Kim and find out- you will not be disappointed! Whenever I am in Los Angeles, I will come here. Oh- and did I mention the place itself was clean and lovely? No contest. This is the place.
Not one to leave negative reviews, but this was the worst massage experience Ive had. Very disappointed because this was our first time away from the kids and was excited to get a massage out of where we live. I think these reviews are fake it was so bad.Pressure was like 1 out of 10. There was no rhythm to the massage at all, what was done to one side was not done to the other. Even forgot to massage one of my legs. At one point I thought he fell asleep while massaging me. Not to mention the saunas were not heated for my husband or myself.Please do not waist your money here.*** they also over charged me $50 so make sure you check your bank statement!
My dear friend was visiting from FL and we decided to meet at Desuar Day Spa. This was my 1st time there and it it did not disappoint. All the things you read about read about the parking and it being in the basement are true. It did not however retract from the beauty and the ambience. The place was very clean and we were there in the middle of the day on a Wednesday and we were the only people there!!We were provided with a warm fluffy robe and slippers on a locker and all the amenities.I chose a scrubassage (scrub /massage) combo. The scrub was just OK, but the massage was amazing!! I highly recommend Javier.I should have forgone the scrub and had a longer massage.The experience would have even been better had they really paid attention to the volume of the music. It was too loud! I asked that they lowered the music once, but then it somehow became loud again. It was very distracting. That earned them 4 stars.Overall I could definitely see how this would be a quick refreshing retreat in downtown Los Angeles.
So, I’m definitely not the type of person to typically leave/write a review but I just feel like I had the most AMAZING massage & hydrafacial experience with Ale at Desuar & everyone needs to know about!!! Please, if you’re in that area for whatever reason and need a good deep massage, That is the place & She is your girl I promise you do yourself a favor🩵 Oh* And if you’re worried about your weight or size or any of that just know it was a non factor when it came to my massage(I’m 5’11 & ???lbs😅). I am always hesitant to get a massage from anyone that’s smaller than me, because I feel like they just won’t have enough strength to really get in the areas I need them to. But I was honestly shook how strong my massage was consistently throughout its entirety(I got the 120min massage). And the hydrafacial was just as relaxing. I Feel like I left there with my face and body glowing✨😌✨
Carmen was absolutely amazing. I was at the Westin for a conference and had some time in between meetings. Carmen could tell I was stressed and really went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed and taken care of before I had to go to my next meeting. I’m from LA and will most likely be booking with her again in the future.
I hate the say that I was a bit disappointed in this spa experience. I received a Swedish massage and while the massage was not bad, for the price it was not as thorough as the massages I have had at other spas. The massage was comparable to a massage you would get from a friend.When I came to this spa in March it was under the Xanadu spa. I was pleased with my experience and upon returning to the Westin, I could not wait to come back and get another massage. My last massage was amazing!Unfortunately, this spa is under new management and things simply are not the same. For one, I was charged a 15% service charge which included 10% gratuity and 5% to the spa. The gratuity I understand, but a service fee to the spa when I am already paying for a service is excessive. I have NEVER paid a service fee for any spa service and I have been to spas far more luxurious than this one.I hope that they work on their business practices. I frequent the Westin multiple times throughout the year and I would love to get a massage each time I visit if the price is right and the service sufficient. This experience was a bit disappointing.

Doing the water bed for 25 mins then normal bed for 25 mins was the best decision I could have made and never saw that anywhere it really relaxed my muscles!!! Love this place! It’s huge and has an amazing vibe! The person are so personable and welcoming and made me feel so comfortable!
Couples massage exceeded our expectations! The staff was very friendly. Shout out to Charlene (hopefully I’m spelling my that correctly) for making sure my fiance and I had a great experience from beginning to end!
Review on Deep Blue Scrub age and Massage Groupon DealMassage itself: 10/10. The therapist really worked through all my kinks.Scrub part: 5/10. It felt nice but was way too short and the scrub itself didnt feel like anything special. More like anything you could get at the store and scrub yourself down.Hot towels used and the bed being nicely warmed: 10/10.Service: 6/10. Everyone there was actually very nice but things seemed to be disorganized (as they are temporarily in the Westin hotel in DTLA) and not their more permanent spot). Seemed like the therapists were running behind as well so was sat waiting for a while even though I made sure to be there at least 10 minutes early.Overall vibe: 8/10. The setting, whether it was the waiting room or the therapy room itself was nice. Nice locker room, comfy robes, and solid champagne. Was just strange that they didnt have multiple sizes of sandals again.Final consensus: I would come again but just would want the service to be a bit more efficient.
I absolutely love Deisy at Desuar Spa ! I’m doing micro needling with her and I saw a huge improvement after ONE session ! Her hydra facial was perfect and I love how knowledgeable she is about skin care. I love the Spa, very cozy and relaxing. I can’t wait to try a massage but the facials are 100% recommended.
A pleasant oasis in DTLA. Second time visiting the establishment and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff made sure we were comfortable the entire time.It could be difficult to find. Youll see a sign for Desuar. The front desk will buzz you in and youll take an elevator down to the spa. Make your way to the left where youll be greeted. Once checked in, youll be escorted to the locker room to get robed. Youll head to the waiting area and youll be guided to the room for services. Our package included deep tissue massages, facials and a soak. Massages were great. Wish I could remember the names. Once we were finished in the room, we were led to the tub. It was quite nice. Once entered, some salts and essential oils were added to the tub full of bubbles. A cart with towels and some candles lit in the corner. Depending on how hot you like your bath water, it can get really hot in there. Didnt seem to have much airflow. Also wished the room was better insulated for noise so you could have a conversation or listen to music. Conversations in the adjacent room could be heard.
I had an absolute amazing experience at this Spa. I came in for a full-body massage and the staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. They guided me to the bathroom/locker room where they provided clean robes and sleepers. The locker room was very clean with a sauna inside, which I definitely used. I then got the best massage. Very relaxing but also deep enough to get rid of some shoulder/neck tension I was holding. I will definitely be coming back for a couples massage with my boyfriend because I definitely want him to try this place. I highly recommend.
I made a last minute afternoon appointment before catching a flight. The staff was friendly and understanding (I was running late due to unexpected traffic) and I had an incredible Swedish massage. I’d definitely return.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because the esthetician was super nice and did a good job. Everything else was NOTHING close to the luxurious experience they promote!When youre paying $246+ for a facial, the service starts long before you see the esthetician. The staff is VERY unorganized!!For starters, my experience started off bad because when I arrived I couldn’t locate the place based on the address given & there was nowhere to park. The new location DTLA is located inside of a hotel. I called the number on the confirmation email and the girl who answered said she was at another location and couldn’t help me to locate its exact location. She told me she was going to ask someone and call me back. That never happened. So after 5 minutes, I called back and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. When I finally figured out where it was, there was nowhere to valet so I had to park far and walk. This was strike 1 for me.When I finally parked and walked inside, there was no signage to indicate where the spa was located. Also, in the confirmation email there was also no directions. I walked to the front desk when I got there and they were clueless. So now I’m lost.This was strike 2 for me.So I started roaming inside of the hotel as I called the phone number again and finally got connected to the receptionist who waved at me to indicate where they were (on the 3rd floor). When I arrived the name on the door was not Desuar Spa; so there’s no where I would’ve known where to go. The receptionist offered champagne upon my arrival to try to do damage control which I appreciated but was still turned off by how unorganized everything had been thus far. He mentioned the Hollywood location will also be closing soon and if the service is anything like this, i see why. There was a 20 minute wait to see my esthetician but i did not complain although I wasn’t understanding why.The esthetician was informative and very detailed so I was trying to move past my initial encounter. I told her I wanted to purchase products for my skin and become her regular because I really appreciated how knowledgeable she was.When I left her to go to the check out, I was met by Charline who wasn’t the most friendly. She ended up charging me service charge of $41 that she says goes to the hotel. I asked them to remove it because I wanted to tip the esthetician directly. I planned on tipping her $50 for her service but I wasn’t tipping her AND paying a service charge to the hotel. Charline refused to remove the service charge so unfortunately this was strike 3 for me. That really turned me off that they’d be so greedy that they were willing to take away from an esthetician and, in my case, lose a client. This was my final straw and as a result, I didn’t tip more and didn’t buy the products. So everyone loses.Another lady in the back explained a similar situation so its not just my experience. My appointment was at 2:00p and I left at 5:00p. Never again. The rates do not match the level of service thats for sure so if you value customer service like myself; this isnt the place for you.I definitely wont be back.

Had a really good massage at Desuar in Downtown LA. I was able to book the same day. The atmosphere is very calm and quiet. Only 4 stars because the personnel could be more attentive to create a better experience.
Firstable the place doesn’t look as on pictures, Second Carmen was noisy during our Massage session. She needs to have a better work ethic… Plus my wife made a reservation for her birthday and she didn’t received the attention she was supposed to get, I thought our couple massage would be so romantic and different. So Disappointed at this point of view, the only person that was excellent during our time at the Spa was Javier, He really knows what he’s doing at the “Spa”.
Terrible way too expensive for no reason! Me and my gf went I signed up for a full body massage she signed up for “only” a feet massage. My back was touched maybe 3x and I was told to turn over barely 5mins into the massage she massaged my feet for the remainder of the hour. My gf got a full massage which she only asked for feet and maybe 5 minutes of her feet done. They totally disregarded what we asked for even the guy up front was telling us afterwards the stuff we included on the tablet to get when signed in they don’t even offer the add-ons and was confused why they were on.
Adequate but overpriced for what you get; and uncomfortable in many ways. Tables narrow, orange sheets and a quilt, head support too low and flimsy (needed multiple adjustments during a time I wanted to relax), Oriental rugs throughout not conducive to super cleanliness. Then there was the maze to reach it in the basement - not a pleasant walk or views along the way.Zori the masseuse was sweet but crude in her movements; I never could completely relax. Then I was left oily in numerous places even after her quick wipedown.And......nothing says healthy like the bowls of starlight mints in each public room.

Really enjoyed this spa. I was feeling very tense and found this very near my job in DTLA so I gave it a shot. It was a cute relaxing place but most importantly I loved the massage that Ale gave me. Would definitely recommend a massage from her.
My husband and I got a couples massage, and I highly recommended this place. Our masseurs were Luz and Carmen, and they were great! Be aware that on Sundays, 5th street has a farmers market. Parking is also a bit of a hassle. They have lockers in the restroom where you can place your belonging. The restrooms are spotless! I would say this place is very relaxing and beautiful. Was able to schedule a massage on short notice online which was great. The neighborhood and building are unassuming but once you enter the basement suite, you’re greeted with kind people and a soft, cozy, ambiance. I didn’t arrive early enough to use the sauna or soak tub but the facilities were clean. My 50-min massage with Kathy was amazing. Just the right pressure, continuous movement, and paid attention to where i was most tight. On my way out, staff were really friendly, especially Allen! A decent place for good price
I believe my tech name was Dave. And he was so nice and calm. His hand were so soft but his strength was stong enough to roll the knots out of my back. I felt amazing and will be sure to revisit the next Im in town.
I bought a facial/massage combo for my wife. She really enjoyed the entire experience. They even provided her with a glass of wine. The booking experience was great. They even accommodated her when she arrived earlier. As far as outside, it’s DTLA so outside is just that. There is a nice security guard who does a great job keeping the doors locked, and allowing only those who have an appointment in. I would book another spa day for my wife at Desuar. FYI I am dual licensed massage therapist and esthetician. I had to give her many massages and facials before becoming licensed so she definitely knows a good massage and facial when she receives one.
Thais my first experience. I was gifted a 50-minute massage and I added a wax. Elizabeth did both and was so nice and engaging. She put me at ease and made me feel comfortable. The place is very serene. When you step off the elevator, you smell the scents of the candles and aromatherapy. Its quiet and the staff is pleasant and friendly. You forget youre in the heart of bust downtown LA! Its clean and spacious. Music plays throughout. You immediately feel relaxed. I will be coming back. Elizabeth is the best. I was floating after my massage.
The massage therapist used too much pressure even after I told her to back off, not as clean as I thought it would be. The sauna wasnt working. Very expensive, I would not go back
Friendly staff. Getting to have a glass of champagne before the message is nice. Went for a couples massage and we both loved it! Upgraded to a deep tissue for $10 each. They have showers in case you need to shower afterwards. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Parking is tricky if its a meter/street or you can just park at one of the lots or nearby parking structures.
Really mellow environment, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Ale is incredibly knowledgeable and gave me some wonderful advice after taking her time with my skin concerns. Really appreciated chatting with her too. Will be going back!

Deisy is so amazing!For waxing, she was super professional and it was painless and done quickly.For facial I went with the micro-current and she explained to me the other needs of my skin and helped me to customize treatments. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing treatment!Things to note:- Parking is a bit of a challenge - it’s right by the Last Bookstore downtown and there’s a lot nearby for $12 in cash- Some folks might not like that the location is in a basement - I didn’t mind but just to note- They seemed to be a little short staffed and Deisy had to make sure everything was running smoothly so we did have a few delays but all in all really loved my treatment and would return for Deisy!

Today was my 2nd visit to Desuar spa. I received a facial and eye treatment. I was late and was still able to keep my appt so I definitely appreciate that! However, for the cost of services, I expected so much more. During my service, I could hear sirens, people talking, and what sounded like maybe something with wheels being rolled across the floor above us. The spa feels more like a dungeon than anything else. My esthetician was ok but seemed to be in a rush. She was constantly sighing very loudly and fumbling around looking for items. The chair squeaked the entire appointment. During the dermaplan, she was using the razor pretty fast. So it felt kinda scratchy. My skin feels fine but I was hoping for a relaxing service. Based on the prices, this is supposed to be a luxury spa. But the vibes were not luxury at all. I saw empty champagne flutes in the waiting area. I was shocked to see my esthetician wearing street clothes. All fine but not when you’re paying $200 for a facial. I could’ve gone to massage envy.
Love love love this spa! I’ve been coming here monthly since the start of the new year and I have yet to find a spa with better amenities.I usually book through classpass and I’ve never had any issues booking or claiming my services. Christie and Carmen and the best masseurs I’ve had the opportunity to work with and I always leaving feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.I usually go for the 50 minute sport/deep tissue massage and every massage feels better than the last. Most recently I’ve gotten the CBD soak and it’s the cherry on top of a perfect spa trip.Parking here can be a little tricky as there’s no street parking or validated lots so definitely account for that when arriving. I’ve been lucky to find parking on neighboring streets but often use the lots nearby for ~$5I think I found my forever spa and I’ll continue to recommend to my friends and family :)
I hidden gem. Tucked away in a DTLA basement I wasn’t sure what to expect but my visiting friend and I thought we’d give it try because it was close to her hotel. She had a massage and a facial and I had a massage and a body wrap. Both of us enjoyed our treatments immensely and felt that our therapists were knowledge and caring. Thanks for a relaxing morning.

I love this spa. Been coming here for a few years and it never disappoints. The lady’s locker room is clean, calm and convenient. They provide soft cozy robes and slippers and it even has a sauna to use before your treatment. The masseuses are top notch and I look forward to coming every month.

Masseuse Luz was great, untangled my knots! except my time was shorten, not sure if that is the style to this place, shorten a 50 minutes massage more of 30 mins for $85 ( my 1st time to this place) and did not do the added service but luckily the service was not added to my due. I got my facial with Sahar and also amazing. Sahar made my face glow! 3 Stars for the staffs! Luz, Sahar and helpful front desk. The basement location is sketchy but I needed pampering that day, so I went. Will I go back again. Definitely not due to the location and service time spent $170 for Facial and Massage, $20 cash tip for each person. Total $210 for that pampering.

It’s super important to attend to yourself and release all that tension. Plus it never hurts to spoil yourself.I highly recommend Javier at desuarspa in DTLA, he’s really good at explaining what he’s doing and giving some at home remedies to help with pain. (He recommend I try deep tissue and cupping) tbh I felt some release and will 100% add that into my spa time for my next visit. If you havent yet, YOU SHOULD.I went in for a Swedish Massage.100% Satisfied.Was a special they had.I went for it.Was my first time there.Decor of facility is Set to Calm soothing vibes.Clean and Smells of good aroma.Lighting is perfect.Everyone there from the moment i walked in treated me Well.Honestly have been to many parlors, happy to say theyll be my only spot now.I will give you guys updates on Other services i get.I went in With high stress, High Anxiety & My head was full of worries.I had lots of worries in my Thoughts that Had to do with my own life.I knew i needed to relax but did every little thing to remedy a stress relief at home.Going to get a massage was my 1st big step to ease the stress happening to me physically.When i went in i was tense and knotted.But when I came out....I had NOTHING but peace and all tension was GONE.My headache went away.I actually didnt have no worries.Just thoughts of needing to sleep. First time at Desuar spa, got the 50 min Swedish massage with Carmen and I can’t rave enough about her. She made me feel so relaxed, and eased all my tension from my desk job and offered me champagne at the end of my session. She was so thoughtful and thorough through the whole process. Can’t wait to come back and see her 💕💕💕
Bad massage. Expensive. Would not recommend or repeat. Showed up with shoulder pain and left with shoulder pain. Massage was mechanical and not satisfying at all. Give this a hard pass.

Not the most romantic location to do a couples massage. Very dirty downtown location and also in the basement. The actual experience was ok. The pillow I had to put my face into was questionable with some stains. Also it would have been better if they dealt with our payment before the massage rather than after. Took forever and was frustrating.

The worst. Its really odd because it looks like a place someone (?a careless investor?) spent a lot of money in order to make a horrifying DTLA basement into a nice respite-y spa, but its understaffed and poorly managed. I assume, based on my experiences here, the front desk folks and the custodial staff are not compensated adequately/there is not enough of them. Its been empty every time Ive gone, and I expect it to be closed within the year. I hope whoevers running it either hires more people or treats the ones they have better.
I took my mom to DESUAR spa for the first time. She always get these little massages at random places and always just says it was ok. When I picked my mom up from DESUAR spa, she had nothing but wonderful things to say. She said “OMG that was so good. I am so relaxed. That massage was great. I could go to sleep right now because I’m so relaxed.” Let’s just say she is a happy customer.
I received the best massage and facial treatment at DESUAR SPA after a nice greeting from no other than the owners Deisy and Keith. After a long week of work, I was able to enjoy their cozy and welcoming facility. I felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout my session at DESUAR SPA in Monterey since the staff is so friendly. It is so easy to get there and plenty of free parking either in the hotel or on the street.
The Mother to Be Massage was amazing! I’m so sad I have 7 weeks left. I wish I had come sooner :) I will be back weekly until I give birth :D
The massage with Beverly was great and very relaxing. She was very delicate and gentle! My pet peeve was I got there 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time, but ended up waiting 20 minutes over my scheduled time. The atmosphere of the spa is very relaxing and they offer a lot of different services. However, the surrounding area is kinda sketchy and parking is a hassle. It would be better if they have some sort of arrangement with a close-by parking. I didn’t feel very safe walking from the car to the building. Overall, it was a good experience! The staff is polite and the massage was great!
I had a great experience at the DESUAR spa in DTLA. The place was so so nice and relaxing. I had Alejandra as my massage therapist and she truly did an amazing job. Not only did she help my back immensely but she also taught me some stretches I should be doing to help the pain. I was able to relax in the sauna after my massage which was so amazing! I also want to try one of their facials because they all sound so incredible! Highly recommend. :)

Booked at Desuar using my class pass credits bc I had too many rolled over and too busy with work to use them all. I booked a massage and wax after a day of work as a treat and really a necessity. They accommodated when I came in a bit early.However, my Brazilian wax has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve been waxing a long time.It started off fine but towards the middle to end it got very painful and she kept going over parts multiple times which to me means she wasn’t pulling hair the proper way now looking back.I have a high pain tolerance and stayed the entire time without complaining however once I got home and checked myself out I noticed blood. When I took a mirror a discovered multiple wounds in my labia were my skin has been ripped from the wax. I have at least 3 open wounds that bleed and burn. I have been applying pain ointment since yesterday and still in a lot of pain.I’m furious and upset. I even tipped waxer 20% of the regular full price and I regret it so much I hope she doesn’t think she did a great job I the pain just had not set in.I will never come back to Desaur and would t recommend anyone else takes a chance.
I saw this place on google maps, checked their website and saw discounts going on massage, so i called them to book an appointment for sunday 9/24 and the women told me total of 125 and asked for 62 advance, i said okay I’ll call u back and give my card number, I called back and this other women picked up the call and she was so rude and arrogant. The discount is not available on weekend and everything and disconnected abruptly. I mean thats how they treat people on call , god knows how bad they will be when I got there.

I left wanting more from the establishment and massage. I loved my masseuse as a human. he was polite, kind and thoughtful.I definitely think there is potential but there’s a long way to go to get there. The furniture and decor is gotti. The staff can use some training in professionalism. As my masseuse escorted me into the room to explain the process we were interrupted TWICE by staff coming in and out of the room. I am convinced one of them thought I worked there as she also updated me on the status of the room next door. My masseuse and I were confused. As someone said for the price you should get more. Instead I left feeling like I went to an undeveloped spa.

I had an amazing experience…best massages! The Cryo Facial which had my face feeling smooth and tight. It was so cold 17 degrees but I enjoyed the experience and results. The Sweetish Deep Tissue massages was amazing and he even use suction cups. I can’t wait to go back and recommend them. Best massages in Los Angeles

Ive been here enough times to finally write a review that reflects my experiences at Desuar Spa and it is one of my favorite places to go to in LA. I usually get Swedish and occasionally facial here, I love Alejandra and Rene, they do amazing job on massage! facials are also very refreshing and make you feel younger and rejuvenated. I love hanging out at their facilities after, relax with tea, use sauna, just hang out in those awesome robes. I love those robes so much that I got some for my house. Facilities are always clean, staff is very friendly, outstanding service! I will definitely keep coming here for more!
Had a great experience here. parking is a bit tricky in downtown, but once inside, service was excellent. It was my first time doing Hydrafacial and Im hooked!!! skin was glowing and clean after. All of their facilities are hygienic and staff were very professional
Not a place I would recommend for a great spa experience but more of an efficient treatment, basic. The masseurs are very nice and sweet but for the price you pay for the service, you need more professionalism. I’m sure there are much better massages in LA!! #Disappointing

Hands down the worst massage experience Ive ever had and its not even close. Seeing empty glasses all over the waiting room was the first sign. Then a woman calls me out 10 mins late. She proceeds to tell me, Ive been doing this all day and havent had a break. Youre going to have to be patient. Ownership - overwork your staff much? She then, no kidding, loudly belches. Sorry, I just had a coke. She finally arrives and within 1 minute leaves to get her phone. Returns. Leaves again to get some oils. Im now about to walk out. Returns again. She starts and I can tell shes only using one hand and is distracted. I look up and shes texting: Im texting to see if I can leave early. I literally thought I was on some show being punkd. Wait, was I! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Desuar Spa was so relaxing, I really enjoyed my birthday there. The staff and Daisy was fantastic, they made this a birthday to remember. The private area was set up so cute for my party, all the girls enjoyed themselves. Cant wait to go back. If you never been here before, make sure to take the elevator down to the spa. Since the door man was away there were no signs telling us where to go.
The space is lovely, the staff is lovely, the services are great. Street parking is virtually non-existent, so be prepared to spend $10 on a lot. But minus the parking, a truly relaxing experience!

I was invited to the Desuar Day Spa for a massage. The place is a bit odd to get to, it’s downstairs in a building on 5th in DTLA but there’s clear signage from the street. Once I got down there it was BEAUTIFUL! The spa is a relaxing/boho vibe filled with candles, yummy smells and a sense of calmness. They offered me water, showed me the spa changing room (that has a sauna, showers and plenty of room to change/get ready/pamper in) then I headed to my massage. It was amazing the masseuse was so kind and easy to speaks with. She adjusted based on how I felt. My back felt amazing after. She worked magic, I didn’t want it to end! I am so happy I found this spa and am thrilled to go back! 5 stars ⭐️ Thank you

I received the best massage by Alejandra. I have been struggling with tension around my neck, traps and shoulders. After seeing countless therapists and masseuses I can honestly say she exceeded my expectations. She applied the right amount of pressure in the places I needed the most. It is evident she’s trained and experienced. She even gave me “homework” so that I can work on reducing the tension I carry from working on the computer and having had a baby recently. Will be returning as long as she works here.

The couples massage with Alejandra and Allen were superb. My massage therapist Allen made sure I was comfortable for each step of the massage. I felt so rejuvenated. . The facial I also received was very gentle and my aesthetician very kind and knowledgeable. If you truly want to be pampered I recommend Desuar DTLA.
I had the best deep tissue massage at Desuar. They took me the same day and were able to accommodate me for an 80min session. The therapist was amazing. She worked on my shoulders and neck (my problem areas) and took time to stretch out other problem areas. I felt so relaxed after my session and slept so good that night. The facility was clean. The receptionist I spoke with was nice and pleasant. They have an excellent monthly membership which I will definitely consider once Im back in the workforce. I highly recommend Desuar to my friends and family.
I am a loyal client at Desuar Spa. This place is so relaxing . Today I received the best sport deep tissue message ever by Javier. My muscles very extremely tight and Javier made me feel like a new person. I now feel great and I was very impressed with his experience.Next I experienced non-painful waxing; it was incredible. Melissa M was very gentle and comforting. I also received a marine pore cleaning facial by Melissa M She is very experienced and amazing. With both services, she took her time and was very professional, and advised me at home skin care. Melissa M ROCKS !!!
The spa is beautiful and serene with many warm and inviting features including a gorgeous bathroom, waiting room, and shower facility. The products they use are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! They feel wonderfully luxurious on your face.The spa has a beautiful salt crystal table also that has illuminating LED lights that change colors. I’m going to get a massage on that table next time.What I loved the most is that I wasn’t pressured to buy anything and Daisy described the procedure as she gave me one of my best facials ever. You deserve this treat so check it out!

My boyfriend and I had an experience in DESUAR recently. We’ve paid $250 for both and to be honest when you pay this amount you’re expecting more professional service. I wouldn’t like to seem like mean person but I had more service and more caring host in the cheapest spa.Plus we’ve paid for 50 min and the massage lasted for about 40 minWe tried Swedish massage (it was ok not perfect but ok)We’re definitely gonna find another spa
Great Massage Place, and even better Masseuse.The Ambience is very tranquil , dark with low lighting. Like a Romantic candle lit room. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The Robes are soft and comforting. I had a deep tissue and foot massage with Nadia and I would highly , highly recommend her. Nadia and the spa is definitely over 5 stars. But I took off a star bc the walls are thin. So you hear those next to you as if they are in the room with you. And you hear things being rolled around. Usually that would take away from my experience tremendously to the point that I wouldnt want to return.But the massage was SOO GOOD that I could just loose myself in that.
I went to Desuar spa for micro channeling and it is, by far, the best treatment that shows results very fast. Immediately after, my skin looked nicer and had a nice glow. The scar on my forehead was visibly less noticeable after just one treatment. Deisy is amazing. She explained how the facial works, kept me informed and comfortable through it and gave me a great massage while we waited for my face to get numb. This facial hurts a little but beauty is pain, right? Thank you Deisy, I will definitely be back. :)
Gem of a spa in a weird basement location right across from The Last Bookstore in DTLA. At first I was a bit sketched out as I walked through the very industrial basement, past the laundry room, thinking what did I get myself into? but as soon as I got into the spa itself I was well at ease. Tasteful, comfortable decorations, fresh clean fragrance throughout and a friendly staff were waiting inside. My massage therapist Kristy was incredible - very strong, very knowledgeable, professional and responsive - and the deep tissue massage she administered managed to get rid of some persistent knots in my shoulder and lower back that had been troubling me for weeks. It was definitely a good bit more expensive than I was expecting, but to be fair I never even looked at the price until all was said and done. Still - a bit of sticker shock. Overall though, my experience was excellent and I would definitely go back.
Had a couples massage with my husband and the masseuses were great. Our entire experience was great we will definitely return. Only thing that would have made our experience better was if the soaking tub was in a quieter place. We could hear people talking around us. Other than that great place and nice, respectful staff.
I went to Desuar initially because they took the Spa Finder gift card and I had a couple to use. I’ve had several massages elsewhere, so I decided to get the Ocean Crest head/shoulder massage in November. The massage therapist I had must have never done that particular one before because it was unlike the description, completely. My head was on a rest that declined, so the blood rushed to my head. I asked if we could change the angle of my head and she adjusted the headrest, but then my head was resting on the edge which wasn’t terribly comfortable either. She mostly scrubbed the crown of my scalp continuously and it hurt. I asked her a few times to avoid that area because it was becoming raw, and she’d do my shoulders for a bit and then return to that part of the scalp. I didn’t want to be demanding so I just took it for 30 minutes. When I went to the front desk at the end, she was hanging around so I didn’t feel comfortable telling them that I had a bad experience.I still had a gift card so I decided to go back and get the same massage, but with a different massage therapist. I told them that I’d had a bad experience previously and they just said “oh sorry that happened”. The therapist they scheduled me with this time was much better. The massage was much more comfortable and professional. I didn’t love the “mist” they sprayed over me because it smelled musty, like it might be bad.All in all, I’d average the experiences to 2.5 stars, but I’m not thrilled to have used up $100 gift card plus $45 out of pocket for two 30 minute massages. Disappointing, I don’t want to go again.
The ambience and staff were inviting and pleasant. The only reason for the 4 stars is the options and set up for couples is limited and I would have love for the bath soak or facial to be included as an add-on when purchasing the most expensive or exclusive package. Finally just a preference I would have liked to soak my feet and had wine/ champagne served as soon as we arrived

Best Deep Tissue Sports Massage I’ve ever had. Ray made sure he removed every knot in my upper back, as well as stretching my legs and intense IT Band work. Would highly recommend!
I have to say the massage was one of the best I have ever had!That said, I am giving it three stars and here is why:- the spa is in the basement, which is fine but it feels stuffy and there is an odd odor in the air. Not relaxing or pleasant.- there are no signs at the entrance, you just have to figure your way down to the basement.- the front desk person didnt seem welcoming by which I mean he kept telling us to sit and fill out forms, didnt seem open to a simple polite conversation. He also didnt look put together, was wearing jogger pants. Not a big deal but definitely doesnt help with the first impression.- he walked me into womens changing room. And I mean he actually walked in there with me!- the shower was not clean, hair everywhere.In conclusion the actual massage was great, but the ambiance was way off. I will definitely not go back or recommend this place to anyone.
New location: Silver LakeWhat a treat after such a rough year mentally, emotionally and physically. My body had been holding in so much stress and tension, so it was nixie to finally be able to relax and experience such a magical massage with a view of the sunset, city and twinkle lights that set the mood to melt away all those stress knots. My masseuse was extremely friendly, and profession. They took the proper precautions for Covid and still managed to make the experience feel somewhat normal, all things considered. The location was easy to find parking and the staff was very accommodating. I plan to return soon for a facial - another much needed service this year! Definitely a vibe thats perfect for a couples massage, too! (Also, on the list)Thank you all!
My wife and I found Desuar Spa one Saturday afternoon. They were able to give us a massage that same day. We both received a deep tissue massage. The therapist were very good and very knowledgeable and very respectful of our bodies. It was overall a very delightful experience and we plan on going back.

So today my husband and I had a “serenity healer” massage. This was not as advertised. There was actually no massage. It was literally me laying there with the stones for 50 min. In the description it specified a customized massage. But I was literally touched 4 times total for about 10 seconds each. Very disappointed being that this was a Father’s Day gift for my husband. I felt super bad because he was expecting a massage.

Being a trainer and fitness coach, I prioritize recovery days and my spa day at Desuar was much needed! One of the best massages I’ve ever had! Javier was incredible. I wanted a little bit of lymphatic massage and some deep tissue in certain areas, so Javier gave me exactly that. Ask for the “Javi special” and he pinpoints all the areas on your body that need some work! Also did the Cleopatra bath soak after. Super clean spa and nice staff. Thanks Desuar!

Had an amazing massage with Victor whilst visiting DTLA last week. Loved DESUAR SPA. So beautifully decorated with such a calmness about the place. I really wished Id had more time to enjoy a soak in their copper tub or a facial but if Im lucky enough to visit it again I know I will certainly make time. I left the spa feeling relaxed and my aches and pains had melted away.
The location is convenient and I really enjoyed my massage. The folks are very nice and clearly know what theyre doing. I was able to sneak in a 50min massage on my way to the airport, and it changed my whole day! It may be rough around the edges of the building, but once youre inside, its all good. 😀
My bestie and I were in LA on business. We decided to treat ourselves and booked facials and massages. Both of rated our experience as phenomenal! My skin felt so buttery after the massage and facial. I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone. Now any trip to LA must include an appointment at Desuar!

I will likely request another one soon.Seascape Facial - It was my first spa facial experience, but it was more detailed and pain free. Communication helped identify problem areas before and during the facial. The ambience in the room set the relaxed mood needed to prevent wrinkles and the soft background music kept me amused during the 50 minute to 1 hour process. I would recommend to others as spa facials are not for me.

This place was Amazing! I really did not know what to expect. When I walked in to the Information counter and the Gentleman told me Desuar was in the Basement, I was thinking ??? When I arrived, I was Overwhelmed with the Wonderful Ambience and all around great energy and vibe.I had the Swedish Massage, which was one of the best I have ever had. My Masseuse Adriana, (who I highly recommend) was so in tune with the areas on my body that needed work. Her calming voice, energy and healing hands was just what I needed. With so many choices, I was so lucky to find this spa. My overall experience was far greater than other spas in LA. The spa is very very clean and spacious. They offer FREE wine & refreshments which made me love them even more.The Swedish Massage is my absolute favorite. I arrived feeling tense and stressed. But left feeling like a new man. My deep tissue massage with Andy was incredible. I used to have massages regularly in Australia however not so much here as its too expensive. The massage I received at Desaur was worth every penny and one of the best Ive ever received. Cant wait until next time, this time Im going 80 minutes as 50 minutes just wasnt enough.
Wish I could give it 5 stars because the service was really good. My problem is that I had to pay $10 for parking around the corner and that its not safe to walk to the place. A bunch of people hanging outside of the Alexandria hotel up to no kinda good and when we left one of the dudes asked my mother if she could make him lunch and in return he would do .....ummmm a DL. He propositioned my mother for a sandwich. The actual spa is cozy and they have very nice, big robes. We got a good massage and champagne.But unfortunately the location and parking is the problem. I had a facial before an event. Specifically mentioned that I dont want anything that would peel my skin. Was assured that the recommended facial doesnt peel. Yet after the facial I had extreme dryness and peeling for days. When I mentioned the same to the manager, they tried their best to pass on the blame to me. Absolute worst! They will recommend expensive facials without taking into account your skin type and your needs.
We enjoyed our visit! I highly recommend massage therapist, Sherry! I mentioned my shoulder was bothering me but more importantly my neck and jaw was what was keeping me up at night. She heard me and focused on my pain and the shoulder released as well. I could not have been more thankful as I have had plenty of massages and was beyond impressed with the results! Thank you Sherry! I will be back! My husband also enjoyed his massage and facial - Desaur took care of us!
This place is a scam don’t waste your money. They don’t refund either.I’m adding my response here since I can’t respond for some reason.“People like you” interesting choice of words. I clearly wasn’t satisfied with the service which is why I left one star, what makes you think I would even want to return? Make whatever excuse you like it was not worth the $420 plus the tip I left for that very mid, uncomfortable and unhygienic service. 4 people there to serve us? I must have missed the other 2 people, you probably have us confused with someone else because we only received 2 services. I had no problem with the workers I have a problem with the company. When trying to reach the manager they wouldn’t even speak to us. I went with my partner for their birthday and was treated as if we didn’t matter. Clearly we’re living in a crazy time which is why I was so uncomfortable with the way everything was set up. I have the right to feel how I felt and the way you responded is a clear reason why I left feeling the way I felt. I went thinking we were getting a spa experience and leave relaxed but instead we left feeling worse hence why I feel like it is a scam. I wanted to do something special for my partner, spent a lot of money and was treated terribly and you clearly continue to do so. Your staff was great but your company needs to learn manners and how to deal with unsatisfied costumers.
This spa is beautiful and tranquil. I’ve never seen such a beautiful spa bathroom! The staff was awesome. Javier was kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. One of the best massages I’ve ever received! The facial was also divine. Can’t say enough good things about this spa!
I loved my experience at this spa. Linda Yi was soo kind and provided professional advice. I really recommend her! You wont regret it. I am booking her again soon, and recommending her to family and friends. My facial felt relaxing and she focused on what I wanted without me telling her. Great staff!
What a cool little place! They followed up with me right away for a same day appointment. The fellow at the front desk was sweet... Offered me water upon my arrival. Its a low key funky little place with a cool vibe. My massage therapist was super skilled and could not have bene nicer. What a wonderful little gem in the middle of #DTLA. Will definitely go again.

I was a bit nervous when I saw that the spa was located in the basement, but open entering and seeing the updated and relaxing locker room, “relaxation room” and spa area I felt at ease. My therapist was very nice and very skilled. I got the deep sea exfoliation treatment with massage combo.
Getting to the right location was a bit tricky. Thankfully the staff was very understanding and I was able to make it to my appointment. Beverly did an amazing job, very professional, and very nice. I feel so relaxed 😊
My daughter bought a gift certificate from Desuar Spa for my birthday a couple years ago, and I’ve been coming here ever since. I get the hydra facial procedure done and it’s made a dramatic difference in my skin. I highly recommend this facial to hydrate and change the texture of your skin. All of the technicians are great but Deisy goes above and beyond to make sure you’re experience and results are amazing.
Absolutely lovely service. Started with Champagne and ended with my whole body free of knots and tension. Extremely professional staff and the facility is quite decent. Would recommend to anyone looking to be taken care of.

I love Desaur. Its an oasis in the heart of the Historic Core of DTLA. The staff is fantastic. My Massage Therapist, Adriana, is fantastic. She gets into those trouble spots helping me keep my body healthy. I love the warm, light subdued atmosphere. Its meditative allowing one to let the world slip away for awhile.
I had an AMAZING experience!!! I didnt even know about this place. It is hidden at the bottom of a building..but then you walk into this relaxing and calm oasis. Victor L. gave me a deep tissue massage and it was incredible! Masterful! It felt like I went to the physical therapist and to the spa. At the end I felt totally rejuvenated. I am definitely going back!!!!!!
Kind of hard to find, but had a great experience. I was attending a conference and I had to cancel on my regular massage therapist in the Bay Area. Finding a therapist so close to my own was a pleasant surprise. Thanks so much for helping me relieve my pain and giving me a boost of energy. I highly recommend Desuar for anyone looking for a massage, especially if you have a great deal of muscle pain.
I had a swedish massage for one hour, it was good but a little bit pricey. I booked through classpass, like around $68 for the basic swedish massage.
This place is horrible I didn’t like the massage at all it seems like the person who did my massage was new or something like he didn’t know what he was doing at all!!! The room was so small and cramped to have a couples massage in but the website says the room would be bigger I had way better experience then this then on top of that my husband and I had a bath but you had to be quiet because the rooms were close to the tube area! I’m like what kind of stuff is this!!! Will not be coming back!!! Waste of our monies
I appreciated this location as it provided me and my fiancé a day-of couples massage. The woman on the phone while booking the appointment was very nice and helpful so I was excited about the appointment.Getting there and down to the basement I had no issues at all just bc the woman on the phone gave me clear instructions prior to arriving. The entrance was nice and the ambience was welcoming and calming. It was actually a pleasant surprise as I didn’t expect a nice location in a basement of DTLA. LolWe got situated pretty quickly after filling out our forms and my masseuse Rene came out to bring us to the room. Not very professionally dressed - he was in joggers - I didn’t expect him to be my masseuse. There, we met Anna?, my fiancé’s masseuse who was also in casual clothing with her hair let down.We got situated in our room with very, very loud ambient music playing - unusual. Secondly they have loud fan in the room so as you can imagine not a calming area. At one point of the massage I heard a loud thundering noise and it seemed as if it was coming from upstairs. It was very distracting to the point that I wasn’t relaxed.The massage itself: was good. Definitely not the best. At some points it felt like he was just rubbing bc he forgot what to do next..?? My fiancé, on the other hand, said that he kept feeling his masseuse’s hair and sweater drop and touch him while she was massaging him.All in all: I enjoyed for what it was. A last-minute massage location but I’m certain they can improve on various things.
So happy today to be a part of the reopening of DeSuar Spa. Not only are the owners Deisy and Keith caring and hospitable to every client. They also make time after to insure your satisafsction with your technician. Today I had DeSean. Incredible. I enjoyed a full detox including the earl grey tea as well as a wrap and 50 min massage. DeSean was amazing. My skin feels like a baby’s bottom! DeSean and I had a great conversation but also were very respectful when we were in the quiet zone. I can’t give a higher recommendation or respect for the love and care of the owners and staff but as well as the clear conscious effort to make sure every restriction during Covid was adhered to the utmost extent. Can’t wait until next visit. Thank you all!
Cozy, clean facility with excellent staff. I was impressed with the proficiency and strength of Luz. She was also personable, and applied exactly the right pressure that I needed, which was medium to strong. Will definitely return when back in LA.
I’ve been coming here for four years now and it’s the best spa in dtla! I always get the deep tissue massage with Rene. As long as I live in LA I will be coming here. Very beautiful and zen space. Owner and staff are very inviting and nice.
Took my mom here for her birthday. We got the couples massage and facial. She truly enjoyed herself, the staff were attentive and truly set a relaxing environment. I highly recommend!

The staff was very accommodating, I was actually 20 minutes late but they were able to still fulfill my entire massage time. They were super nice and relaxing in their mannerisms. I would absolute recommend this to anyone :).

I had an emergency Swedish Massage by Kristy yesterday after tweaking my back by sitting in a terrible chair at the office (back was already in bad shape). They took me immediately and the massage was excellent. I left there feeling 100% better. I recommend the place (and Kristy) highly.
BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE. Ask for Andie (the male) he is such a talented massage therapist. He is super knowledgeable about the human anatomy. He taught me a lot of stretches . Also, a great staff and lovely amenities for how small the facility was. Highly recommend!
I had the Javi special and wow!! Javi is so attentive and walks you through everything he’s doing. He made me feel really comfortable and cared for. In one session he addressed all of my issues and I’m really looking forward to having another session soon! The front desk staff is amazing and kind as well, I can’t wait to come back. Thanks Javi!
Get a lymphatic drainage massage from Deshawnee!!I go here all the time for massages. Great spa! I have seen different therapists at the spa and they are all amazing. Javier and Beverly are great too!

I rarely go for a massage but came in sore and stiff and asked for a 60 minute Swedish massage. I told Dina my problems areas and she thought I would benefit more from a deep tissue massage and I went along. Great decision, came out of there feeling better and two days later significantly better. Exactly what I needed. $90 with tip.
Literally felt like a new person in my body after visiting Desuar for a deep tissue massage. Andy is a neuromuscular massage therapist and he has incredible insight into very specific issues causing tightness such as carrying my handbag on my shoulder, my sleep posture, problems with hyper mobility and he also helped with my sore wrist! He gave me great and tangible advice to address all of this. I think if you are really looking for someone to level up your massage experience rather than just a “body rubber” you really need to come here. The spa was very professional and had lots of nice personal touches along the way. 10/10 recommendation!

I rate this place below 1 star. Towels and massage bed were smelling bad. Rooms looked dodgy. And they only do 50 mins (instead of 1 hours) which they waste at least 5 minutes so basically 45 mins massage and it’s not even worth it. We paid for over $100 each for deep tissue massage and it was not even a relaxing massage.I don’t think they have the right expertise for the different types of massages or they just use cheap, inexperienced masseur.

Ive been to DESUAR Spa three times now. Funky little location at the top of a residential building, but it is cozy and clean and inviting. What sets DESUAR apart (and has led to my return visits) is the staff. From my first phone call, through multiple visits, I have been very impressed by the entire team. Everyone is truly dedicated to ensuring you have a top-notch experience. As for massage? Ask for Yadira. Her knowledge and empathy for her clients will leave you feeling like a new (better) person!
One thing you need to remember is that this is set in the heart of DTLA. Come with enough time to find parking, dont worry theres plenty of lots. Make a day of it. I personally love DT. All within a mile of each other was able to have a spa day, eat at Grand Central Market then walk back to the car. The spa is in an apartment building basement. Its wonderful because its place to get away from this crazy world. Massage was wonderful and the soak was just what I needed. All employees were very hospitable and made you feel comfortable. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back. Looking forward to my massage on the Himalayan salt bed. Thank you to all the employees for a pleasant experience.

Deisy is the best! I had an incredibly relaxing oxygen facial with a few add ons. The entire Desuar Spa experience was top-drawer and my facial the best. I was (and am) glowing like I just returned from the beaches of Bali. Thank you Deisy!!
Staff was overall great and environment was great but unfortunately my massage was not. My therapist took several breaks she was not prepared at all. They did not wipe any of the oils off with hot towels. I requested a full body massage and my hands were not massaged.
All staff are very friendly, nice , accommodating to my needs Dasy booked my same day appointment thank you Dasy for being able to do that. I was a little disappointed on my Scrubage treatment I thought there would be more scrubbing and more products my actual massage did not satisfy me like I thought. I will give Desuar another try. My first time was wonderful this was my second time and I jumped out of my norm and tried what was recommending from my previous experience. However my Husband loved it his masseuse accomplished what I wanted for him. He is a 240lb man with extremely tight muscles stiff joins and she broke him down so 👍🏾 👏🏽 To her. See you next Desuar Spa
This Hidden Gem was such an ideal retreat an oasis in the middle of downtown Los Angeles.I left with a fresh glow and feeling so relaxed after the most amazing facial and head massage.I will definitely be back again!
Had a fantastic experience here. Girlfriend and I did the bathtub soak and a 50 minute couples massage. Victor and Adriana listened to exactly what we needed worked on. If youre in the downtown are I would highly recommend Desuar spa!
I dont think I have ever been so relaxed after a massage in my life. I felt my skin breathing when I inhaled and exhaled. It was just a wonderful feeling. I could never go back. I have to make sure my bidynis ckean, my space is clear and my skin is clean. Going back once a month is a priority.

1st time. Located in the basement of building. Street parking or you have to pay $10-20 for parking about a block away. I ARRIVED EARLY and found parking in front of the building. My massage was amazing. She asked about the pressure and helped relieve several tension areas. Deep tissue upgrade for $10. I was offered half a glass of champange when arrived. Minor Cons:(1) since this is a new spa employees should let guest know more about the amenities (i.e., stream room) and areas to lounge after massage. There is a lounge area in the middle of spa before the gold chains entrance to massage area/locker room,but I did not know if I could relax there. (2) after my massage I was not informed part of my package was to relax on salt bed. I was informed after I got dressed. I TIRED IT, but I guess I was not fully into since I just got dressed and needed to get undressed again. (3) similar to other reviews... there was noise coming from upstairs. FOR SOMEONE WHO falls asleep while getting a massage this might be a distraction.I WILL TRY THIS PLACE AGAIN, especially since the location DTLA is a huge factor.Updates later for next massage
DeSuar Spa is a total gem. Ive been getting monthly facials here for over a year and my skin is looking the best its ever been. Its totally been worth the investment and I really look forward to this relaxing treat every month.Deisy is so talented and works hard to stays on top of the latest skin care technology trends. Shes constantly offering new services to try — such as Oxygen Facials, HydraFacials and LED Light Therapy.The spa also introduced me to Phytomer skin care products, which Ive totally converted to using. The brand is a pioneer in marine biotechnology and has its own seaside lab in France. Ive never once been pushed to purchase anything. I just trust Deisys expertise (she is clearly very knowledgeable) and Ive seen first-hand how the products have really helped improve and maintain my skin in combination with the regular facials.The new location is beautiful. The building has an unassuming exterior, but once you get downstairs to the spa, it has a lovely ambiance and great amenities. I highly recommend!
The experience was pretty decent and Im glad I got it through living social because I wouldnt have paid full price. Since its in the basement and the floor is concrete, you can hear noises of people walking by, carts being rolled, etc. As you are receiving your message. Everything echoes. Im not sure much could be done to improve this but it does add to or in this case, take away from the overall experience. Also, I was looking forward to my glass of sparkly bubbly and they said they ran out and havent the chance to get more so they gave me red wine which I dont drink. Should you be telling customers that you havent had a chance to replenish your stock. All in all, the massage was pretty good, but the ambience lacked a bit and thus my 4 stars.
Great experience first time going there and will go again. Had a 50 min massage with Christine and it was phenomenal. If you have any knots that need addressing def schedule with her!
Disappointed. I paid $120 for a deep tissue massage and the person did not know how to do deep tissue. I politedly asked for firmer pressure 2 minutes into the massage, and he said he was warming up. After another 10 minutes of swedish style pressure the pressure did not increase and I politely asked again for an increase in pressure, which still did not happen. I asked a third time and eventually gave up as someone who does not know how to do deep tissue should not be offering deep tissue massage as that can be dangerous. I would not have written this review if the spa had responded to my personal response to their request for feedback. No one every responded to my direct response to them and they kept asking for good reviews. The spa facilitiy itself was not great either. The sauna did not work/was not on, and the building is in a sketchy part of town. I will not be returning and wish they would have reached out directly for me to relay this feedback, but since they were insistant in their emails to post my review, I decided to oblige them.
I never write reviews but Sherrye was SO amazing I have to let everyone know. I’ve never had a massage like hers before...I chose the sport/deep tissue and she managed to stretch me and massage me in one. She would bend my leg backwards then massage my glute with her knee and the relief of tension was unreal. She was very kind in making sure I was always ok and was breathing properly to relieve muscle tension. 5 stars!!! Thank you Sherrye!!
I had the foot massage and it was amazing. Dahlia has hands of magic and I felt like a new man when I walked out. The staff was great and the spa was very nice. I cant wait to come back to town and visit.
We contacted them before our wedding and they hooked us up with a first time discount! The couples room had construction above it making noise but they made up for it with a free additional CBD oil add on. Overall a very relaxing experience.
