The New Jalisco Bar

This place has so much potential, but some of the staff that work here need better attitudes. Let me start by saying this bar has the best male gogo night on Thursday, it is free to get in before 10 and $15 after. The Drags Queens here are also great. Where they need improve is there is no AC in the entire bar so the only thing keeping you cool is fans. On Thursdays it get packed and very hot in the bar without the AC. Also the alcohol they serve is trash. There is no good Vodalk not even a smirnoff. The last thing is the lady behind the bar is extremely rude to customers. The male bartender is always nice, but the woman bartender is extremely rude.

The bartender was very disrespectful. He said goodbye to me by giving me a nickname as if I knew him or he was my friend. Tonight there was only one bartender and a woman, so its easy to identify. It was the disrespectful person.

Ill admit, this is a hole in the wall bar, but its really fun! They have very entertaining drag shows and a friendly staff. Beto is our favorite bartender, so make sure to say hi. If youre hungry, they serve tacos at the front entrance that are very tasty.

I will not give an star but I had to ,because it is a bad place . You go ther to have a good time . What you get non respectful people. Please don’t don’t spend your time and money here… I rather go to plaza old time club . But they threaten you better .

Boys Night Uot! Friendly bartender, but was a ghost town when we went. Ceiling was missing some panels in a few parts and overall felt cluttered. But liked that it was family run and good vibes.

The atmosphere here is a bit fun, but the gogo dancers are pushy to get money out of you. The bucket of Coronas is ridiculously over price at $42 for 6 beers!!! Is hard to support a small business with does prices, when their bathrooms arent even clean, and their floors falling apart. My friend also hurt himself on his foot because the flooring had holes in it.Their AC wasnt even working either it was so hot in there as well. They had a commercial fan that only blew hot air!! If youre going to charge an arm and a leg for drinks, make your establishment better equipped to handle that much traffic!!

The worst music played at any club. Just a bar not a place to dance. Bartender is very friendly, but pushy. Tables are for people who have a reservation so just plan ahead. What a waste of time!!I will never come to this place ever again.

You dont need to be gay to come to this bar. My wife, friends, and I had an awesome time at this place! Great price for the beer! Great atmosphere! Great music! Great service! They dont have food, but there is a subway just around the corner that is open till 10pm. The restrooms could be a little cleaner but that doesnt stop you from having an awesome time at this place! Had lots of fun. The place needs some work(restroom/ceiling) but the atmosphere is great. Singer was getting the crowd involved and had everyone cheering on. Music for dancing was put on in between the shows. Drinks are $10 had a michelada and margarita. They were ok. Place started popping 11p-midnight.

Being downtowns oldest gay bar dont expect the latest in bar scene trends. Do expect a great price on beer and cocktails, and a nightly raunchy drag show in Spanish. The clientele heavily leans Latino so if your rusty on your Spanish be warned. The staff are bilingual so no problem there, but patrons less so. Otherwise just order a drink and enjoy yourself.

Went with a large group and bought shots, $8 a shot, and they were watered down. When we told the bartender she got upset, she said it was the type of tequila. Other drinks we ordered tasted watered down as well. You don’t cheat people and expect not to get called out, don’t waste your time or money comin here.

Its a Mexican gay dive bar. No attitude and cheap drinks, what else do you need? The place can be totally fun and a great place to hang out before or after visiting the theater district or shopping in DTLA. Its also close to the subway, so you can skip the crazy traffic and insane parking which is a real plus. Its the oldest of the current gay bars in DTLA, and still a lot of fun.

Sashimi salad, poki, lobster mania, and another roll. I ordered for a pickup since Ive walked past it to know it gets crowded. First impression, everything is huge generous portion. Sashimi salad and poki both had fresh tasting fish. Poki was definitely better tasting poke I had outside of Hawaii. Roll were huge. Tasty but bit over sauced for my taste.Definitely go back for Sashimi salad and poki.

Cash only, high Spanish speaking clients and staff. A fun place to catch Latin drag performances. Also, there are usually tacos and other food for sale here .

Boys Night is more like Girls night. The strip models pay more attention to the Girls. Otherwise, its a fun hole in the wall bar

This is a place you waste your time going to. The bartender is extremely rude. The prices are outrageous ans service is poor. Dont go there.

Bootie CA at the DNA Lounge is a really fun night out. They have great themed events and mashups, therefore Im a fan!

Ok so this place is fun but what kinda bar dosnt have proper jack or vodka the drunks are cheap the music is alright and the drag show could use some work #justsaying lol

The food is a little better than average, but i dont go here for the food. Food was excellent as was the atmosphere - will definitely be back!

Its s cool relaxed neighbor male gay bar, with a Drag Show on Friday nights....Bartenders are cute and work hard for them tips! Gotta stop by when youre in the area!!

Its the worst in service, I went to have a drink and I paid my ticket and Im having a drink sitting at a table the waiter arrives with an attitude telling me hey you have to go back but he was very rude and grabbed me and I left I had already gone again and it was empty Now I understand why that place is not full and the tequila is well discounted.

The truth is that the place is bad, the only thing is that the people at the bar are cool but they are dedicated to making the show very long and it looks like an OVEN, they dont even have air conditioning, they have HOW UGLY, the woman with a terrible appearance and a bad attitude sells the hotdogs at a very high price. He serves them cold and flattens the bread as if they were tortillas. The meat is given to you cold and the bacon fat is all curdled so cold that it is.... TO NEVER COME BACK. THE LITTLE MUSIC THEY PLAY FOR DANCING IS SO BAD THAT NO ONE GET UP TO DANCE as there is no air circulation is a danger for the spread of Covid

Perfect, I loved it, the person is perfect, the people are very cool, everything was great, I would come back again.

The bouncers here are shameless thieves, they steal your beers from the bucket or the bar and charge you buckets saying you dont pay for them. They do it several times. They are starving

The place is very good, its a shame they dont accept cards, and today to celebrate the independence of Mexico the show was only in English. I expected better from this place of which I had high expectations but what a disappointment.

The place is small, the screens and audio are bad. Go-go dancers are handsome and have good bodies, but they dont know how to dance. The musical selection is not the most attractive either. I consider it to be a slightly old-fashioned bar, designed for the Latin gay scene of the 80s or something like that... The truth is that it disappointed me, Im sorry.

I dont like it because the man who serves the drinks. When he asks for something he says it all beaten up. not in a good way. For me, they should change the man who serves the drinks. That they put a bartender that they respect and that provides good service so that people return. but the guy who is here now doesnt give that image. So if I could give it 0 stars I would put it

I only passed by outside...it looked very lively, they sell food outside and the smell of grilled onions is irresistible to refuse to eat a delicious Hot Dog with some asada tacos...The place was clean.

Maritza is the best, Ángel has good service and a good atmosphere. Sometimes I feel like it wouldnt be bad to add a little to the bathrooms.

I can not believe it! Visiting from San Francisco, we decided to visit this place to see how it was, the place was half empty, although from the comments I read, I thought it was going to be good, we sat at the bar and the male bartender greeted us and greeted us. He offered to drink, we told him that we were going to order right away, two minutes later the female bartender (a lady about 45 or so) approached and asked me that, as we were ordering, I told her to allow us a little bit, and he repeated the question saying, I asked you if you already ordered? I answered that I had already told her that she would please wait for us a little, and she became a little aggressive taking away the napkins that the previous bartender had placed for us and in passing she threw the salt in the space where we were. This lady immediately started talking to the person who was at the bar as well, saying THIS SLUT ANSWERED ME WRONG referring to me, I asked for the manager to complain and immediately again and aggressively confronted me and told me that how did I know that I He had said slimy to me, I told him why I had heard his conversation and he started arguing and my friend and I left. WELCOME TO THIS PLACE, AND EVEN THOUGH THE PLACE IS NOT VERY NICE, BUT WITH THIS KIND OF PEOPLE YOU SURELY WONT BE OPEN THAT LONG. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS TYPE!
