Ancient Thai Massage LA

I found them originally from Groupon, and it was a good massage. Then I came back after that, maybe max 2-3 times, then stopped going since I found a better place closer to where I live. Its hit or miss depending on the masseuse to give an ordinary massage.There is parking in the neighborhood, and its either free or paid and easy to find; you need to pay attention a bit.The surrounding are a bit scary but its okay, nothing too crazy or dangerous.

Couple massage, hubby did not feel relaxed after, his back aches for two days, the masseuse was rough. As for me, it was okay, nothing more than someone rubbing lotion on your back..

I initially, booked a massage somewhere else. But I ended up calling ancient Thai, massage and Im glad I did. I met my new best friend named Pam. Talk about a happy ending (joking) lol the massage was better than that! I got a combination massage. Wouldnt recommend anything else. It was my first time and I would be definitely going back. Great experience. Looking at the reviews for massage spots in the area, I was pretty weary of getting jipped in some way, especially when you’re on a budget lolThe place is tucked away. I went in the evening and had SOM as my therapist. She got me TOGETHER, k? Because New Body, Who dis ? LmaoI also have the sense of a hound and have been at parlors where it has a strange smell. When I laid in the table and had my head tucked in that little pocket, smelled FRESH. Someone just cleaned it and I was relieved.Got the 60 minute combo massage, welllll worth the $70 + tip. Was stretched out, got hot stone massage, oil, and aromatherapy to open up my sinuses.Same time next month !

First time for a thai massage but it was excellent and very interesting. Staff was very caring throughout the massage.

Been at this spot a few times. Its small and you get a decent massage. Ive always used Groupon to buy my massages online first.

I recommend you avoid this place at all costs!! They burned my forehead skin with eucalyptus and when I get back there and asked for a help the manager told me go to the doctor and this had nothing to do with him or his business!!!!! He was super rude and he walked away in middle of the conversation!!

Booked a couples massage with them and I absolutely loved the massage. Got the 1.5 hour massage and I am standing taller, more flexible and I feel great in my body. I was extremely tense and tight in the shoulders and upper back because of poor posture and he seems to have fixed me. I’m so grateful. Really liked my experience here and I definitely recommend. The people that work here are very kind and welcoming. They adjust pressure according to your needs.

Absolutely amazing! I’m from out of town. Saw this place on Groupon. Saw the good reviews and booked it. However, Groupon gave me the run around. Long story short, I couldn’t use my Groupon. The lady at the front desk still gave a me a little bit of a discount. I booked the combination 90-min massage (Thai and Swedish). Oh my goodness. The best massage I have ever gotten. Please read the details of what it entails! You will be doing some full body stretches on the table. They really focused on the areas you needed it most. After a full day at Disneyland the previous day, this was Worth every penny. Will definitely be back for this next time we are in town! Thank you so much!

I went with my family. I got 55 min massage but my family who are couples only got 50 min and we pay for 60 min. They pushed you to tip $20 for 60 min massage plus they do not take card . If that is the only payment option you have they want you to pay on Zelle or other app.The only reason I gave 3 star is because my massage therapist was good but the rest not much.

Found this hidden gem via Groupon. Visited about a month ago. This was probably the most thorough massage I have ever received. I did the couples massage with my partner and loved every minute of it. Felt incredibly rejuvenated following the massage. My partners masseuse had a thick accent and he couldnt really understand her, so I helped translate. We had all had a good laugh about it. This place even had the bar on the ceiling, so the masseuse can step on your back. That was a first for me! Only caveat is that the surrounding area is not so great. A little worried about leaving the car outside next to the homeless person in the parking lot next door. All around excellent service, friendly staff and will return!

About ancient thai massage....2805 Beverly Boulevard Los Angeles CA 90057Had a massage today at 1pm.At a glance, an aunt in her 50s gave guidance.But it was strange from the start.The site says the sale price is $50 every 60 minutes.Said it was 60.And she did a massage.This is not a massageI massaged my body very rudely.And after about 20 minutes, I felt like I couldnt get a massage at all.Based on my experience, you should never go here.Of course, I paid all the money and gave a tip of $20.You guys never go here.I will upload once a day.I will also complain to Groupon.Again, never go

When I first parked my car I was a little nervous. The surrounding area seems a little sketchy. All of my nerves faded away when I walked in the front door. This place is very clean, calm and has a very friendly staff. The massage was incredible. They really took their time working on each muscle. Some parts of the massage hurt at first, but were followed by a wonderfully relaxed muscle. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a massage

Website says $50 for combination 1 hour, $70 for 90 minutes.Once I got there, Tina(Receptionist) charged me $73 upfront before getting massaged, including card fee for 1 hour. I was like whatever ok just let me get my back done. Then she sends in very weak old lady. I did complaint and then Tina comes in massage. I asked if i can extend 30 minutes which is 90 minutes. She said ok. After 1 hour she replaced herself with other massage lady. Then in the end they charged me Extra $40 for 30minutes. Telling me since massage lady was replaced, its seperated price. And I also gave them $20 tip. Tina you robbed me about $43. You lost your golden customer over $43. Good luck.

Ahhh everyone is so sweet here! Found them because of Groupon but I came back because the service is impeccable!!If there are certain areas you want to avoid I recommend stating that up front & if there are areas you want to focus on in the massage 💆‍♀️.The hot stone is so relaxing 😌You can pay on card but cash is recommended!

Lets start with its hard to find a good message in LA that isnt $300 or at some shady spot...well from the outside this looked questionable but the areas builds arent well kept, that said when you walk in its nice atmosphere and friendly faces. Ive never had a Thai deep tissue before and I was in for a treat! They start by washing you with a warm cloth while you lay face down, then she started with light pressure( Im a big guy so I was getting worried she wouldnt have enough strength, oh boy I was wrong) she asked if she could walk on my back, YES PLEASE! without describing everything I will say if your not comfortable with someone on the table with you it might make you uncomfortable. Also I was a message therapist and so is my father, this is the 1st time I felt taken care of by a therapist I didnt know. I will be going back on the regular and I recommend other go. Parking is hard to find plan ahead.

Horrible… dont waste your time. Overbooked and mixed up everyone’s reservations including ours, there were probably five people in the lobby waiting for they turn. I get that mistakes happen but absolutely ruined the experience and the owner did not even have the courage to admit a mistake on their end nor apologize, he just kept brushing the blame onto his brother that was nowhere to be found. Did not really try to solve the problem, re-book or offer some kind discount or any type of incentive to make the whole experience at least a little bit better but he rather continued on answering calls and weren’t really motivated to help us. So so so unfortunate. Had a whole date night planned out, got off of work early and that’s how the night went!

Tried a few places this is definitely the best so far.I was asked all the proper questions.-What kind of massage do I want.-Are there any areas that need focus.-Do I prefer male or female masseuse.-Soft medium or strong.my masseuse had gone to school in Thailand and again in u.s. so he had an awesomely skillful mix of east meets west massage technique. I went here on a recommendation and will also be recommending to other people after my experience.

Beware of this place. It is in a super sketchy area with NO parking… you need to park on street and walk to this place. I got a call from owner before my appointment and confirmed I was on the way, I get there and he says he gave away my spot due to the system “crashing”, straight up a lie because I saw a review on Groupon of someone who experienced the same thing! It was absolutely ridiculous and he knew I was coming in from 40 minutes away as well. He said he would reach out to Groupon to refund me, but he lied about that too. I reached out to Groupon myself and got a refund processed instead. Do not give this place your money, they are extremely sketchy.

I went with my girlfriend this afternoon. Walk-ins are welcomed so its always a good option after a long day of work. The room had 2 beds, wich was perfect for us. We got the combine Thai, Sweden, deep tissue massage and it was really helpful to relax our contracted backs. They let you choose soft, medium or hard intensity. I asked for hard but changed my mind halfway through. Good service and good experience.

This place is a hidden gem for sure, worth the drive and price range is amazing, I will definitely be coming back here!! I went in so intense came out feeling a lot better

Great happy hour prices on weekdays before 2pm: $35/hr thai massage (cannot redeem punch on loyalty card). And after 2pm, its $45/hr (qualifies you for a punch on loyalty card).My go to masseuse is Julie. Shes great and is strong. I prefer very deep tissue and she does the trick! Parking can be tough and is only street available.

Worst massage in my life. They started the message without confirming pressure level for my comfort. My body showed clear signs of pain and they didnt care or notice. Waste of money!

Went there for the 90 min couple massagemassage was just ok and masseur (Tim) actually sprained my ankle (anterior talofibular ligament). Im a licensed physical therapist so I know what a sprain is. Not only I didnt feel better after the massage but I left with a limp. Ineffective and borderline dangerous.my wife had a better experience, hence the second star

Im a massage snob and I left here regretting ever going elsewhere. Had a 1.5 hour deep tissue massage from JULIE and she applied every odd and amazing maneuver on me. Standing, crawling, stretching... She pulled out all the stops. The space is a no frills shop in a not so fancy part of town but the spectacular service and great price is just what the knot doctor ordered.

I definitely recommend this place. Its my second time here and no disappointment. The massage was really good all the therapist are really good at it. Good service from the front desk to the back.

Very convenient because its less than a mile from my place. However was turned down for the 3rd time in the past year tonight due to the fact that I only wanted the advertised price of $50.oo per hour which I was used to paying. I guess they have changed to the double or nothing price for the extended massage. I dont really blame them if they can do it that way, but Im not happy about it.

Able to visit for the first time before the second covid19 shutdown in CA. One of the only places that offered aroma therapy, hot stone massage & sweedish thai massage. It was 90mins of relaxation. i had been having some back pain and soreness and they helped me release all the tension. we didnt interact with anyone we didnt have to. felt completely safe & will return when able to.

It was my first time going to this place last week and I was very satisfied with the massage and the customer service. The only down part is that it’s VERY hard to find parking. Only street parking is available. I definitely recommend the place to friends and anyone is looking for affordable massage service. I will be going back soon.

I had a really sore back. It was out of alignment. Meaning day like a barely walk am I sata card was bothering me. The misuse was able to work it out help me get realigned and the next day I felt so much better. It was in the cleanest place and it was in fancy but it was functional and she did a fantastic job. Clean and calm place for a massage.After my technician left I tried other massage techs, but they would not listen to my needs. They gave me the same cookie cutter massage. I had to lower it a star.Went back to try again, but got a deep tissue massage where they just step on you

It was nice. Nowhere to park I actually got a parking ticket. Im not familiar with the area so I called and was basically told me to park wherever I could find a park. Staff was nice and friendly. Masseuse was courteous.
