Oil and Cream an URBAN spa

Found this place on Classpass and so glad I came! Everyone was so nice and the 60min therapeutic massage was heavenly and perfect. There were multiple hot towels and a warm massage bed. The decor is industrial with exposed concrete walls, everything was very clean and new. The rooms have concrete walls with no doors, just heavy curtains. The bathroom is right past these individual massage sections so the plumbing and flushing are quite loud and echo with the concrete. However, the quality of the massage certainly made up for it!It was difficult to find so give yourself some extra time the first visit. Its tucked away on the level above the plaza, by the UCLA offices - go into the Hope St corridor and turn right.Parking validation in the Bloc for 2 hours! They also offer a monthly or annual membership for discounted massages.

Really great front desk staff and facility. It’s very much an urban spa — meaning it’s clean, modern, and well kept up but does not include any amenities. This isn’t a major issue given the current price point, though, which is lower than that of other spas nearby. It’s a truly great spa at a reasonable price, which we needed in downtown badly.The one thing to keep in mind is that their masseuses are a hit or miss. Molly gave me the best massage of my life — and I’ve been getting massages 1-2x month for the last 5 years, so it’s impressive she stood out so much. She understands not only how to properly massage out knots but also how to stretch individual muscle groups to lessen discomfort in the long term. It’s truly awesome!However, another masseuse (I believe her name was Angelina) gave me a massage with improper technique and left me with bruises all over my body and pretty significant muscle pain for 4 days. Pressure wasn’t the issue; instead, the issue was that she truly did not knowing muscle placement, how to work knots, and that using bony parts of her body to pressure can often lead to pain if done incorrectly. I tried to give feedback while the message happened but she either made more mistakes or repeated the ones I tried calling out.I’m not sure if they have other massage therapists available, but it might be worth calling to learn more about who is available before booking. All in all, amazing experience but beware to request the right therapist.

HIDDEN GEM of a retreat in the heart of DTLA!I loved my first visit to Oil and Cream. I snatched up a Groupon and had a powerhouse of a 30 min facial by Ava, her attention to detail and unique gentle yet effective method of extractions really packed a punch!Wayne the owner is super sweet and fun to talk to, the vibe and ambience is bright cozy and clean, while the massage rooms are dark and relaxing. I definitely want to come back to try a massage!The entrance is near the valet parking of the hotel, it’s on the street level, to the left of the Macy’s, you’ve gotta walk through a little alley way to get there. A little tricky to find but absolutely worth it!There is a parking structure, street parking is only a 5 min limit, so don’t park there!Definitely get your next facial or massage here!

Fantastic experience as my wife and I enjoyed our 60 minute CBD massage in a beautiful couples room. Alice did a great job and left me feeling renewed and recharged. Highly recommend and cant wait to go back,

Wonderful experience at an Urban Spa. I found it on class pass and am hooked. I’ll definitely be returning. Parking is convenient and validated. The space is cute and clean. Corissa provided a specialized facial based on my needs. It was relaxing and invigorating at the same time

Came here for the first time the past weekend and had a couples massage. One of the best and most attentive massage services Ive ever received. The whole experience had been great - start to finish. Masseuse constantly checked in the pressure, environment, and really exuded the feeling of wanting to make you as relaxed as possible.I realized it had been a soft opening just a few weeks back, which definitely made the experience that much more amazing. My experience with most soft openings are pretty lackluster or missing some items. Not the case here. Give it a shot and try it out. Ask for Monica.

I booked a 60 min facial and 60 minute massage for my grandma’s 69th birthday, SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!!! Had a great massage from Monica today. She really focused in on my trouble spots and I left feeling relieved and relaxed. The location is very convenient and the entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. Ive already recommended this location to my coworkers and I will definitely be back again!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE service!! I had both a facial and a massage and I have never felt so pampered. Ava is the most amazing facialist- she was so kind and careful with my skin, and she gave me some great tips for home skincare. Then I had my massage, it was only 30 mins but I felt so relaxed and refreshed! I cant wait to come back !!!! (Ill probably get the full hour next time). As I was checking out they gave me a little gift because they just opened . If you live downtown and youre looking for a good spa to feel pampered DEFINITELY check them out ! I will be back soon :))

I live in little tokyo and this spot is so convenient! I was having horrible tension headaches so I booked an emergency massage (day of too!) And they were nice enough to get me in asap. I told molly where i my aches were and she delivered. They allowed my service dog to join me, and molly was kind enough to give my dog a pillow and towel for him to lay on! Thank you guys so much. My neck feels a million times better. Cant wait to come back and get a facial :)

A dearly needed oasis in an urban jungle. The options in DTLA for a massage have been limited and trying to find a relaxing, calm, convenient location has been a challenge. Not anymore! Oil and Cream is has answered our spa prayers. After a 60 min full body with Aadilah all the tension in my neck, right shoulder, and arm were gone after an intense week of work. Personable, skilled, and communicative, Aadilah was excellent. The owner too was very friendly and welcoming. So happy we have this great business to enjoy in the heart of DTLA. ❤️
