Late Post March 2024Its been a while since I last visited Wispa. Just a friendly tip: remember to shower before going to the jjimjilbang (Co-Ed area). Based on my recent visit, I noticed that some women seemed a bit reserved. If youre feeling shy, a Korean spa might not be the best fit for you. Remember, you are in a culture where people of all ages, from kids to grandparents, frequent these bathhouses weekly.I decided to bring my best friend here for his birthday. It was a bit challenging to explain the process since we had to prepare separately before meeting in the Co-Ed area. However, the staff at the front desk were very helpful and willing to answer all his questions. I went ahead and timed our meeting after 30 minutes to meet. The shower, warm jacuzzi, and steamroom hit the spot. Then I was off to the jjimjilbang. This time around we did not request any service. My friend and I explored every room and particularly liked the salt, clay, and ice rooms. The jade and hottest room aka Bulgama were quite intense. We also grabbed a quick bite to eat at the restaurant – the Egg Rolls were hot and delicious! The weather was nice so we decided to chill in the outside patio. I would highly recommend getting there super early or really late anything in between can be too much in terms of a crowd.
This spa was recommended while I was in town for a brief stay in LA. Spending the afternoon there was a perfect complement after hiking Runyon Canyon in the morning. I scheduled a 30-min foot massage and then enjoyed the facilities in the women’s and co-ed area. My favorite was the array of saunas - Swedish, clay, salt, sweat lodge - followed by the cold room. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in LA. There is also a store of the best Korean skincare available. I was recently in Seoul and saw all of the top brands that I purchased there. The video attached is the rooftop where we spent some time after our spa afternoon.
First timer. Went on a Saturday evening, so it was VERY crowded and LOUD everywhere.I was utterly confused where to go and what to do. I got the scrub and CBD massage package. The front desk did not provide clear instructions on where to go and what to do even tho I stated it was my first time. I had to ask other guest how it works and where to go.I got to the shower/locker room. There were no robes. I had to settle for a tiny towel to walk to the showers. The scrub was good, but very gentle I was expecting a hard scrub as I had heard was the purpose. The massage was terrible. I wouldn’t call it a massage it was more rubbing oil on me. My massage therapist didn’t understand anything I was saying to her. But she sure knew how to ask for a tip! After I was greased up I went to the 3rd floor. It was very crowded and extremely loud. People were talking in all the rooms (saunas). There was a woman with a young child talking extremely loud and the kid would go in and out of every room. This was not relaxing. It was so loud everywhere: the lockers, the showers, the scrubbing area, the common area, the saunas, everywhere was so loud! The clay room smelled funky, the cold room was not very cold.Definitely not worth $200(parking, spa package, tips).
Amazing spa. So far best spa in LA I know.If you need detox or to feel fresh again after Big City Life this is the right place. A lot of different saunas, and the chill area is amazing for enjoying time after.Design 5 of 5Food 5 of 5 comparable to other Spa.Crowd 5 of 5 Ive never seen it busy.Services 4 of 5 good service nothing special.Stuff 5 of 5 always really helpful.
The jimjilbang in Koreatown is out of this world. I have no clue why many Americans have issues with safe nudity. Its a great place to detoxify and get rest. Look at that innocent face the morning after sleeping, sweating and hydrating. I like sleeping on the roof! I never really eat at jimjilbangs, but people love it. I love the Jimjilbang hard-boiled eggs. They do it in an Inna pressure cooker. They are delicious.
Quality has gone downhill a little since I went years ago. It was so busy they didnt have robes available. The cold room had mushrooms growing up in the ceiling portion. It was still a nice experience in the different saunas. We were very relaxed after. For a 24 hr spa they keep things fairly tidy. They have staff that come around to collect and clean the mats. The rooftop area is comfortable for hanging out with couches and TVs. They have a small Korean lunch spot inside where you can buy food, but would recommend eating out elsewhere since there are a lot of other really good restaurants nearby and their food is a little pricey. They have a nice kids area for them to play games and a surveillance camera so you can keep an eye on them. The clay room is still my favorite room. The balls are softer to lay in than the salt room. We liked switching between the very hot room and cold room. We went on a Sunday during the day and it was crowded. It was still a relaxing experience. Some of the rooms get a little busier than others so there was a little waiting in between. It was a nice experience and would go back again.
I’ve been a long-time visitor to this Korean spa and however, I’ve noticed a significant change recently that has made me stop going. There are now too many non-Asian visitors who don’t seem to respect the traditional Korean spa rules. The last time I was there, I was the only Asian person, and what the other people did made me felt extremely uncomfortable being undressed and in the pool. It felt like I was the odd one out, even though this is a Korean spa where undressing and being comfortable for your own body and others is THE RULE.Its really disappointing to see the atmosphere change like this. I hope the management can address this issue and educate visitors on the proper etiquette so that everyone can enjoy the experience as it was intended.
I think this is a must do for when in LA! Very relaxing. We spent a total of 4 hours with 1 body buff and 2 pedicures. Definetly schedule any body treatments ahead of time. Womens side was sold out. We did eat & enjoy the different saunas as well. Food is great. We felt that 4 hours was a good amount of time, although we would definelty have stayed all day. Great overall enviroment. Bring cash for parking ($4).
This was a good spa! I went with some relatives and it was really great. The food was super good and the service was really nice. The baths and the saunas in the baths were super clean, and large. The only concern was the cold bath was small. Said it could fit 5 max but honestly its probably 2 unless you want to be touching elbows with someone. The saunas were amazing. My favorite was the really hot one, felt really relaxing and wasnt super dry.
Wow, what a large and clean spa! the treatments here are amazing and I left feeling brand new with a glow and soft skin that has lasted for days. The steam room was especially delicious for my curls and I braided my hair while I was in there. At the end of my service when I was getting ready I unbraided my hair and dried it a bit and it felt so soft and moisturized. :)
First time trying a Korean spa experience and it was just amazing ! This one is the biggest and probably the best in LA… they recently renovated some old infrastructures like the showers and it’s feels much cleaner. They have three main levels and a terrace with a lounging area to get some sun, eat or work. The underground floor is women only with dry and wet saunas, showers Buff + massage services. The second floor is men and the third common area with other types of saunas like salt, minerals… It also has a restaurant, work space and kids playroom. The entrance fee is $30 and you can get all sorts of services like massages, buff, acupressure, facials, mani/ pedi at an extra coast. PS m: the entrance fee is waived if you book any service of $160 and up. I tried the Buff where they would basically wash and scrap all your body to get rid of the dead skin, it was amazing and you leave feeling brand new.
Great fun place but dont park your car there. The front desk doesnt care if a vehicle gets damaged, its not their responsibility. They say it is a separate company and has nothing to do with them. But I spent almost 200$?! Not even a sorry. When you call Roadrunner the answer machine says hello, hello, hello and goes to voicemail. Very cute, not, not professional in the least.
Love coming here with my friends to destress and just chill and relax. Water baths are gender split and typically nude only. There are plenty of showers and space. Everyone gets a uniform and towel. Theres a restaurant on the upper floor where the dry cold and hot rooms are. Can be pricey, but they are generally good food. I love the rice drink. Theres mats for laying in the heated floor main hall. Theres rooftop access and also extra services like getting massages, pedicures, etc. it is a 24/7 spa, so typically can be there until 4am the next day.
Wii Spa is a great experience but I prefer a spa that doesnt require clothing for the best sauna rooms. Its great that Wii has different floors but all the best stuff is on a shared gender floor so you have to wear clothes to access it. Others than that its just a steam and dry sauna, 2 hot tubs, and a cold plunge. And the massage buff I received was lacking all the lovely concoctions Ive had at other spas. Still a great day, dont get me wrong, but in comparison to the other big spa nearby, its a 4 star experience.
I loved it so much! A friend took me here, who’s been before, and it was the most relaxing day I’ve had in months. For a 30$ day pass, you have complete access to warm and hot tubs, cold plunge, dry & steam sauna, showers and baths with all amenities included. On the co-ed floor, there were multiple different sauna rooms that we went into, my favorite would be the clay sauna. All in all, I definitely recommend and will be taking all my friends with me when I go back!
Very good place. I always rest my body and soul in this beautiful place. Its always clean and hygienic. You can rest and sleep. There is also a gym and massage chairs. My favorite room is a room with clay balls. You can have a delicious meal in the cafe. The important thing I want to emphasize is the cleanliness of all rooms. Thanks to the administration.
Wi spaMy best 30$ spent this year so far!Hard to get though the phone line, but go there anyway. No need for valley parking - easy to find parking in neighborhood.Open 24/7. After 4am +15$ for overnight.4 floors big complex with elevator and public stairs but easy to navigate.Ground floor is reception with 3 lines receptionists.Floor above is spacious female area with quite crowded lockers and changing rooms, pretty make up and hairdryer areas with lotion, tissues, cue tips, hot & cold water station. Behind the entry area was the main nude & wet-area with fantastic steam sauna, average hot sauna, shower with empty shower gels, shampoo and conditioner, warm tub, really hot tub, ice bath. This area is rather old but still functional. On the left side there was area with massage and scrubbing procedures.By the time I arrived there (10pm Sunday night, January 1st 2023) there was only male treatments appointments. You book them at the reception. In female area the lady who folded towels was very friendly and showed me around when I said that it was my first time.Floor above is the male area.No idea what was there. But the other floor above was the common area for both genders. There you wear a cute t-shirt and shorts. Even in saunas that is quite ridiculous for an European…It had 5 different saunas, spacious common area to lie down, the library, working area, restaurant and chill out space. My highlights were the salt sauna and the famous and sensory impressive - clay sauna. Don’t forget to immerse as much a possible your hands and feet into the clay! And yeah - keep the respectful silence. In both saunas people don’t follow the rules of no phones/drinks/book/silence what was quite disturbing.People talk with open voices, laugh, do video calls. In female area has totally different vibe.Parents great news! They have a kiddos room!Top floor had just two people seated on serene terrace with water fountain and bamboo trees and seating area with 2 televisions.I met one girl from Texas who basically used this spa as hotel. 45$ a night, all conveniences, she slept in common area. “They even give you blankets” she whispers to me. She was so kind to be my tour guide and demonstrated hod to fold the towel as a little hat.Photo documentary was limited as I wanted to keep the privacy of other people. Let’s say it was almost impossible as it was quite crowded that Sunday but I did it for my trusted fellow reviewer. Hence press a like not my efforts 😝Hope you’ll enjoy the visit of this dope place. Seriously totally with it to relax and enjoy. My body feels like new!I promised myself to visit at least once a month. Also I hope that with this review I will not break any privacy policy. If so, please remove the review.Even though they lacked some quality standard (No shower gels, average cleanliness, much crowded),still giving the 5* for the value and the fantastic feeling afterwards.
My favorite spa yet. Amazing food, great amenities, and great services. The new outdoor deck is beautiful and relaxing, with a view of the sky and the LA buildings. A nice mix of nature and the hustle. Easy to find, easier to park with valet. I go every chance I get. I en taken friends, my family & I’ll go by myself at times. I’ve spent the night and just gone for the day. It’s amazing every time.
I love this place. Hydrotherapy in the women’s area followed by a great sweat in the wet sauna have become part of my health+beauty routine! The upstairs rooms are nice as well, but I enjoy the privacy and calm of the women’s only area.
It was ok.. wet and dry sauna I spent the night.Update; children visit with their parent and to see a man with a wig on naked in the women area is scary 😨 😳 and he is adjusting his private part in the water is wrong wrong I will not return to this place why have male and female add Transgenders also
I wish outside food was allowed because the food is pretty pricey, but otherwise VERY fun and relaxing. Standard Korean Spa rules of sex segregated fully nude areas and a clothed unisex floor (they provide comfortable clothes to wear in this portion). Definitely try to book your treatments of choice before showing up, though, they sell out fast!
The perfect place for mother and daughter time. There are several floors and a okay place with 24/7 surveillance. You can enjoy a meal, and the warmth of a safe space to relax.**** You can get your relaxation in and your car detailed simultaneously. Full sized gym and locker rooms.
Had an amazing time and will go back!!!! Women and men have their own floor and the third floor is shared. The food at the restaurant was delicious too. Next time I will be getting a massage. You can bring your own water bottle which I highly recommend.
Pretty good and value for money with just $30 entry fee and full day use. I paid way more than this in the Bay Area with two hours of use in a hot tub. I liked it a lot. It is pretty clean, services is just like the ones in Seoul. However, they dont sell eggs and sweet rice punch, I was looking forward to that.
Hilariously horrible reservation system. Why would the website allow you to choose same day appointment times if they don’t allow same day appointments? I even got a notification on the website after my appointment had been confirmed and processed. Had a group of 8 people unable to get 60+ minute massages because apparently you have to call in for appointments. Genuinely ruined our day especially when we were traveling out of state and won’t be back here anytime soon. I cannot imagine how much money is lost to appointments that weren’t actually confirmed due to reserving online because just us alone was $1000+ worth of appointments.
(Translated by Google)A haven for homeless people! They do not take dollars (in coins). They dont fulfill their obligations. Located in a scary robbery area. I dont recommend it! Dirty and terrible! They are making repairs during the visit. The computers are not working, the lounge chairs are in a sad state.
It was a rainy cold night, & my friend said, Lets go to the spa!. So through the rainstorm we went to WII spa. We had a fantastic time. After they gave us shirts/shirt/flip flops we headed out separate man & woman ways and soaked, scrubbed, showered and steamed. After that, I headed upstairs to the communal room to have a snack & lay around on the warm padded mats. What a luxurious place. Acupressure, massage, foot reflexology and facial treatments are all part of the game. I will definitely come back for more. Slept so well.
I really enjoyed the WiSpa. It felt clean and the patrons were friendly. I went with my family (my husband, MIL and cousin), and we had a good time. My mother in law and i both got a CBD massage and it was a good massage. They are very pushy about tips but that seems to be a theme wherever and whenever you get a massage anyways.Respect the culture and the rules, don’t go in the tubs with shorts or bathing suits on. If you don’t feel comfortable being naked in front of a bunch of other naked ladies (or men depending on what side of the spa you’re on), this is probably not the place for you. I thought i would be nervous about it, but once you’re there it’s a very human response to feel comfortable.I read a lot of reviews saying it’s very busy. We went early Wednesday and there weren’t that many people. Kids are allowed but i do feel like there were some kids running around and being crazy, which is not conducive to a spa environment. My husband and his cousin just enjoyed the amenities included in the admission and they had a great time exploring all of the rooms. I did not feel as if any of the saunas smelled poorly, and i felt it was generally clean inside all of the spaces.I would’ve given it 5 stars but the man at the front counter with the facial hair was really rude. When we checked in he was extremely rude and rushing us to make choices right then and there. It was not a busy time- there was nobody behind us and honestly no need to make us feel like we had to rush the way he did. When we were done and needed to check out he was rude again. I have worked many customer service jobs and i would never treat guests like that.Overall we enjoyed it and had fun!
First time going to this spa and I was so glad that the experience was worth the hype. Just the $35 entry fee is worth it alone for all the amenities you get but if you are in the mood to treat yourself you won’t regret purchasing a service. This time I had a body scrub and oil massage. It was absolutely wonderful and exactly what my body needed. If you are weird about seeing naked bodies, don’t waste your time. But if you’re open to the experience or used to Korean spa culture you will feel right at home. They have a store where you can buy face and foot masks for affordable prices. The cafe was relatively pricey but worth it. The portions were good and the food was fresh. You pay $4 for parking and the valet staff was very kind and professional as well. My least favorite interaction was the front desk staff. They were not welcoming or friendly at all. They seemed frustrated and short in conversation. Luckily I only had to deal with them for 5 minutes of the day.
Great spa and well organized. There are gender separated part where one is naked and the coed you wear clothes that wi spa provides. There are many different types of sauna in the coed place. It felt a bit weird to wear clothes into a sauna as it is not normally done so in Europe. There is a rooftop with tables and sofas to rest upon. The food in the restaurant was really nice. I’m not used to spas and saunas being as noisy but other than that very nice. The valet parking costs 4$ and the entrance fee is 30$.
So fun + refreshing. Toothbrushes provided. Slippers provided. Spa clothes, robes, and towels provided. The food is good. Really nice selection. They even have shikhye. The skin cleanse smoothie is SO GOOD. Pineapple, cucumber, kale 🥬 perfection. There’s a beauty shop below with face masks that made the entire experience Perfect 💯. I came out feeling sparkly, refreshed, and so happy. My family said it was better than Disneyland!
So great! I went with my mom and it was the perfect activity for us. There is one level with hot tubs where you are naked with people of the same gender, and then on the next level you put on little shorts, and there are different saunas to enjoy. There is also a restaurant. The food is a little overpriced, but it was very tasty. The woman who worked at the restaurant was so nice, as well as the staff at the front desk. There’s also a gym.
Not impressed. My supposed massage was very subpar and the facilities are lackluster for it to be so big. I got a combo treatment and the masseuse was extremely rough with both the scrub and my breasts, which were already tender. When she splashed the hot water on my body it stung. Not only that, my massage after was also in the wet room, which I was not aware of since it was a dry massage, and it was extremely uncomfortable. The lights are bright, the noise and voices are loud, and little is done to help relax your mind and body. Even in the dry saunas, there is no meditative music playing at all. Instead, a Korean news channel plays and if you dont speak Korean, it just sounds like noise. To add to that, in the co-ed areas, everyone is loudly talking. I went into the salt room sauna and two women were having a full blown conversation despite people around them lying down and clearly trying to relax. This spa is an insult in my opinion to those looking to actually unwind, decompress, and meditate. Ill be going back to the other much better spas in LA.
This place is perfect for a day of relaxation and rest. The service is efficient and amenities are nice. The Womens side did have to wait for multiple rounds for robes, as those go fast! My trip was last minute so I wasn’t able to schedule any massage or facials, so will do that next time! Note that most people are nude in the Womens bathing area (I.e. you don’t need a bathing suit)Generally you bathe first, for women this is in the basement - which includes hot tub, cold tub, dry and steam saunas. Then you head upstairs for the specialty saunas which you experience clothed. Food and common resting area are also on this floor.Pro tips:- bring your own flip flops! They provide these little disposable slippers that aren’t super comfy and not water proof, so I got stuck walking barefoot around the showers.- Bring a water bottle because you’ll need to rehydrate after all the dry saunas.- You can’t have oils in the saunas, but sheet masks or non-oil hair masks could be great to use in the downstairs saunas. I would also bring my own shampoo, etc. they also sell all these things in the shop if don’t want to use the generic stuff.- Although there is reception and wifi in the entire facility, I would really take this opp to disconnect! Also your phone overheats in the saunas :)- don’t forget to check out the roof - a little oasis in the center of Koreatown.Edit: did go back and got a scrub which was sublime. I felt so much lighter! Theyve also put in some ceragem massage beds which were amazing. Maybe a sales tactic but enjoy it while you can! (Effective marketing as I would consider buying one)
Amazing Safe Space for Detox and HealingWi Spa is an incredible place if youre looking to detox your body and find a peaceful space for inner reflection. Every sauna felt amazing, leaving me with a calm mind and a sense of tranquility. The experience was truly rejuvenating; my skin felt flawless, smooth, and clean afterward.Wi Spa is a healing sanctuary, perfect for those seeking a safe and soothing environment.Highly recommend!
It was a great night and great Expedients. With my family, all the spa was great. Only the confusion when I check in. They didnt explain very well about body massage and fashion Schedule.. They charge twice the price after 4 a.m. extra $50, even spending more than $500 amount money.
This spot is a hidden gem 💎. $30 Entrance fee before midnight and $40 after midnight. Mandatory valet parking $4 cash only. Top floor has 4 different types of saunas, ice room, sleeping room, restaurant, massage chairs + library. The bottom floor / locker room has separate womens and mens pools and hot tubs. U can stay overnight if you choose to.
Overall, the Wi Spa Bath Complex provided a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I left feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Highly recommended for anyone in need of a relaxing getaway!
Pricey as a spa but if you use it as a hotel and stay overnight, probably one of the cheapest stays you can find in LA. I came after watching the Conan sketch. Extensive facilities include hot & cold tubs, dry & steam saunas, multiple coed saunas upstairs for great relaxation. Im not a fan of their parking fees, and the facilities while clean, are showing signs of some wear and tear. I believe exfoliation and massage services are available upon request. They also serve Korean food.
The $30 entry fee and the $20 overnight fee is worth it and kept me alone away from all the b.s. ! Shower, spa, hot/cold tub, food and patio area alone made me glad I even got to be here. What more do you need? Not over thinking is part of self care!
I had an amazing experience here. The massage and buff package left mr feeling stress free. The amenities are well worth the price. They offer so much give yourself a time to enjoy the full locations offerings. The best part for me...NO VIDEO OR PICTURES ALLOWED!!! It was a relaxing PRIVATE experience.
Wi Spa is legendary! This is where you go after wrapping one of those jobs, when you need to shed your skin and leave something behind you. I love to cycle between the saunas and the cold plunge. Dont forget the skin scrub treatment. The heated floors in the Jjimjilbang upstairs has heated floors to relax and read, computers to check your mail I guess, and a nice little cafe with decent food.
This place is awesome! I felt like a million and a half dollars after I left. Its so worth the money. It was very clean and well run.
We had a great time in the saunas and the food is decent but the lady who did my massage kept going in and out of the room to talk to her friend. She also wiped her dripping nose with the sheet covering me... very unprofessional
Eh, the only thing that isn’t terrible about this place is the price. It’s not exactly luxurious - there are always children and stressed out mothers, and everyone is yapping away in the main chill area. The least disgusting place is outside on the rooftop, but then you have to deal with the TV screens. I have had a more relaxing time in a gym sauna.
Everything went great, except inside the beauty store. The lady working that day was so strict but wasn’t even paying attention to herself. She hung up a “come back from break” sign and after she came back LATE to reopen the store, she came back and left the door open and when she found me inside she started giving me cr*p about not respecting the sign SHE HAD ALREADY TAKEN OFF THE DOOR. She kept around me all the time inside the store taking things from my hand not even trying to be helpful. I felt so frustrated when making my purchase.
Love the traditional Korean spa experience! I thought I would feel weird about the nudity since thats not something Im culturally used to but it wasnt even a thing. Get a body scrub! Never felt so clean.
Great experience, despite elevator issues.I had a few hours to kill before my flight home and needed to check out of my hotel, so I headed here. I didnt have any services but very much enjoyed the various rooms and soaking tubs, and also had a nice lunch. Ill be back for services the next time Im in town!
Its not as great as the one we have in Houston (Spa World). It felt crowded, cramped. Not relaxing. There were TVs, people were on their phones, loud music..the restaurant was smaller. I guess I am just used to the more spacious, luxurious, quiet feel in Houston. Id rather meditate in nature but it is just my preference. Maybe alot of people would not mind all of the stimulation. But If you want a quiet time, this wouldnt be the place. The pools were very hot and cold so that is a plus.
This place has roaches and there was a half eaten donut in front of my locker with crumbs everywhere. I was violated while I was naked in the spa shower area by an employee. The “MANAGER” Mindy didn’t make it any better. She is evil and heartless. Mindy refused to apologize to me. Also, an employee barged in while I was showering to falsely accuse me of being on my phone while I was naked in the shower. I was so afraid because she was very aggressive and I wasn’t on my phone. Mindy was very rude & racially insensitive as there were girls on their phones in front of all of us while we had no clothes on. What a terrible experience. DO NOT GO TO THIS DIRTY SPA. Mindy needs to be fired for racial discrimination. I am so traumatized. Please go to SPA PALACE instead. WI SPA is dirty and a waste of money.
First time to try this kind of spa, exceptional experience! I’ve been experiencing body aches and pain during the cold rainy season, this place was suggested to me. Had no idea how this works, decided to just go. Aside from what friends who have been here, I got very little help on how things are done which I figured out on my own. Parking is valet but inexpensive especially if you plan to stay here for the whole day. After checking in where you pay the use fee, your handed slippers and a t-shirt. Go to your designated locker room and change. For those who are uncomfortable being naked, go ask for shorts inside the locker room. There is an area specific for your gender where you are naked, sauna and shower. You have an option to go to the general coed area where there are sauna rooms available too. You can spend the whole day just reading or even working on your phone/iPad. Or just sleep. There’s a restaurant inside as well but will be additional cost. Other services are also available, pricing is posted everywhere.
Let’s start first with parking- it’s vallet parking and only cost you $3. So far so goodThe admission is $30 and it opened 24/7So far so good. If you buy any spa service $150 and above the admission is free. So far so goodAfter dressing room there is separate men and women area where no clothing. Second floor is coed area with clay, salt, dry hot saunas and area to rest, cafe serving some Korean food. And last third floor is rooftop area with sofas and tables to enjoy.Overall great experience and definitely worth its money. You can definitely spend a lot of hours here, so leave your phone in the locker and just enjoy!
I went to Wi Spa two times about 1.5 months apart. I ordered my (used to be) fav dish from the cafe. The Beef Stew.Sadly, BOTH times a BIG black fly was found in my soup. I ask the front man if he could let the kitchen know to fix the issue. To my dismay, he seemed unphased and dismissive. Its SO sad because I adore this place, its amazing, but TWICE makes me seriously question the sanity of this kitchen. It significantly ruined the experience for me. I wanted to post this to let you all know - stay away from The Beef Stew and be careful with the food.Other than that the spa is wonderful. Worth a visit. For me, its very much ruined the experience.
$30 is fine, but when you leave in the morning they ask for additional money, incomprehensible, there are 2 scammer girls standing there. It seems that the employees are different, some ask, and some dont. The establishment is normal, but the service is lame
Absolutely the best! I had a foot and leg injury that was 9 years old! It was hard to walk distances and nearly impossible to wear heels but after a massage in Wii spa where the masseuse did an interlocked technique to that foot, I am nearly at full function again!!! I can walk distances, run and walk in heels again! Life changing! I wish ICould remember your name to thank you personally again!! Also I loved it every healing stone room and the round mud rocks, and the bath and jacuzzi area! So refreshing and renewing! You all are truly a gift to LA🙏🏾✨❤️🔥
I have been to the Wi Spa a few times and each time it is less relaxing. During my first visit I was impressed by the price and accommodations, as well as the delicious food in the restaurant. During my last visit this past weekend, however, there were several people in the co-ed area playing videos on full volume throughout the night. One person in the wooden resting area had true crime episodes playing out loud talking about blood and murder, which was not only impossible to sleep next to but also extremely uncomfortable to hear in an environment meant for relaxing. I wish the staff did more to discourage this behavior, as it really ruined the ambiance of the place. My other complaint is that I worry about the cleanliness of the establishment. The sleeping mats didn’t seem very clean, and the pillows and cushions on the roof patio appeared to need washing as well. With so many people sleeping on these accommodations each night, it seemed unsanitary to use them. I appreciate that there is cleaning protocol for the bathhouses, towels, and uniforms- but I feel that there are quite a few more accommodations that need frequent sanitizing that go unnoticed. I feel like this spa has so much potential, there just needs to be a higher level of upkeep regarding sanitization and having customers follow general rules meant for the consideration of others’ spa experience.
I have been going here for years! I love how they have different saunas, heated floors with provided mats, blankets, and pillows, clothes to change into, and amenities for showering and bathing. If youre not too conscious about showering naked, then this place is perfect for relaxing all day. They offer massages and body scrubs for an extra price and needs an appointment ahead of time.
Diamond in the rough🤧 If the Noble Peace Prize was a place, this is it! Highly recommended for anybody new to California. The Spa is amazing. The food and service is great and you can take a nap, while you charge your phone🤧👌 For 30$ a day. The additional amenities are charged to your smart watch and you pay those charges when you check out. Similar to a hotel. Love it.
It was my first time and the first time I felt like I could be naked comfortably in front of everyone (the other women). Going between the hot tub, steam room, sauna and most importantly, the cold pool with my friends was amazing. The Korean food at the cafe is delicious. Even being in the common area on a mat and heated floors was relaxing. Laying on hot clay balls was like a hot stone massage, the salt room felt good on my breathing, The jade room, walls lined with jade, was nice as well. And the cold room, a refrigerated room, hit the spot after all the heat. Next time Ill add a service, massage or something else. There will definitely be a next time!
Only if I could put into words how amazing this facility is. And for them to keep it so clean even when its busy is amazing to me. I wish I didnt have to travel all the way to LA for the experience, but I am grateful that Wi Spa is existent. I am able to indulge in a complete spa experience, losing myself for hours without scratching the bank, truly incredible. Thank you Wi Spa 🙏🏽🙌🏽
I am in love with this place it’s everything I ever wanted. First of all, all access for only $30!!! There’s valet parking for $4 so a great deal because you don’t have to look for parking. There’s a gym to work out in. Separate spas complete with abundant towels and products and a change of clothes. Spacious luxurious and clean. The co ed space was really nice with a kids center included with a cafe! Also the books to read and the ice sauna I can go on and on about this place just go!!!!!
BEWARE Thievery is rampant at this establishment and management does not care. Lockers are NOT reliable your stuff will get STOLEN. Spa facilities were fine you get what you paid for but if you are looking for peace of mind GO Elsewhere its not worth the headache trust me.
Perfectly lovely, relaxed spa with a family atmosphere and amazing value for money. However, if youre from the East Coast and you feel like youre missing out on some platonic ideal of the best/cleanest/newest/hottest (literally) American jjimjilbang - youre not. Except for free cold water, a quieter atmosphere, and a fully stocked Kbeauty store, the King Spa in Chantilly has everything this one has and more.
A must-visit if you want to relax in LA. There are two sections: a gender-separated, nude hot tub section with hot, warm, and cool tubs, traditional sauna, and steam room, and a co-ed spa section with some unique sauna rooms (jade sauna, sand sauna, etc). Very relaxing experience and the entrance price is a steal for all the amenities you get. Additional treatments like massages and scrubs are also available, and I felt very pampered.
I used to like this place. But I had terrible experience recently. There is a horrible step from the rooftop patio when you go back inside you kind of falling deeper inside. So I felt fromthat step and it was quite high step which is not seeible when you are coming from the day light. It was really hearting I pulled my ancle and some man from staff saw me but someone shhh him. And there were cameras around but nobody even came over just to ask if I need help. I sat there about 30 mins till the pain get less went to restaurant ask for ice tell them then I felt. They gave me ice. And I went to reception tell them I felt and experience pain. A girl gave a plaster and little tiny bit of burn cream. That was all!!! Nobody asked if I need help or something. I understand nowadays people afraid of pressing cgarges and all but being so indifferent to the others. Just a shame!!!The place is still not bad to stay but I don’t think I ever come back or recommend again!!!!!
I love everything about this place. The hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, mango lotion, coed room heated floor, the food, the jade room, salt room, clay room, cold room, the roof with couches and fire pits! The cheap valet parking, fresh pressed juice, the seated shower where you can give yourself an exfoliating scrub til your as smooth as a baby! There’s a beauty shop filled with face masks, hair oils, Korean skin care. Shirts, shorts, robes, and blankets are provided. There’s spa and beauty services, along with a gym. Admission to the jimjilbang (baths, saunas, hot and cold rooms, coed area, rooftop, gym) is $30, including a locker and wristband tap key. Everything additional (beauty products, services, food) are quality and moderately priced! Highly recommend everyone to come to Wi Spa 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love this place! Wonderful services and facilities and I always feel so healthy and relaxed. This was a super busy weekend day so a little more crowded than I’m used to but still wonderful. This was a special treat with the Wi spa special and my skin and hair were so soft and glowing after.
Came here by mistake just a few things i did not like…Kids… i had no idea ppl bring children here.Loud noise… so much noise. No place to clear your mindPhones… the fact that ppl have their phones on high volume in resting areas. Its just rude & inconsiderateLocker Room…. They seemed to have put everyone in the same row and is very small.Pool…i asked if they had a “swimming “ pool they said yes but didn’tI did like the steam sauna but needs an upgrade.Food was mehMassage was averageI will be sure next time to arrive at my real destination
My husband and I had really different experiences. I was pleased with how clean it was. Everything is open, but plenty of places to find a little privacy. I wish the signage was clearer, like what order to go to rooms. Body scrub was amazing. Mature lady gave a wonderful treatment with care and dignity. Yes, no clothes, but if you just get over it and realize no one is looking at you 👀 youll enjoy it. My husband hated everything about the place, walked out, and waited in the car the whole time just doing his work. Its okay, I waited while he was playing golf 😉
SWEDISH MASSAGE WITH LATEX GLOVES - WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD.I visited WISPA on June 27th.It was my girlfriends bday, so I booked a spa day and a Swedish massage for both of us.From the very first moment my massage treatment didn’t feel right. The massage felt very superficial, non profound and the sensation was awkward.Towards the end of my massage, when I was asked to lay facing up, I realized that the entire time my therapist was wearing latex gloves. Obviously that was the reason why it felt so off. After the treatment was over I asked to speak with the manager- and wanted to know if that’s an official policy (was told it’s not and depends on each therapist), why wasn’t I told or asked before (been told I should have said something to the therapist) and what’s the reason for that to begin with (been told COVID).Just wanted to express how disappointed I was from the lack of transparency by not letting me know beforehand, and lack of client attention by basically gaslighting me saying I should have told something to the therapist.I paid $350 that day and feel like I didn’t hardly got what I paid for.
Everything about this place is great except for the dry sauna on the male side. They have sports playing on a TV in there and it gets kind of hard to relax with that playing. Where is the relaxing music Korean show. Switch it up. Everything else was wonderful .
Amazing self care healing center. Has helped me heal my depression and I’m forever grateful to them 😮💨❤️🫶🏻 Claudia at the front, the whole mens cleaning staff are almost like little butlers who help you with whatever you need. Make sure to tip them because if you don’t then 🤷🏻♂️ but they are amazing Latin hard working men!! Thanks so much wi spa for helping me heal My Life!!
It’s a cool spot. I came here to relax for a couple hours in the afternoon. I was on the Mens floor in the TV Lounge area nodding off when this guy next to me started snoring so loud! At first I thought it would be ok but it wasn’t. I thought he was going to die. It’s sounded pretty bad. I wish they’d take all the people that snore to another floor. Other than that it’s a pretty cool spot.
Love this place! Very crowded on a Saturday night (after 9pm). For $30, you get a gym, spas, shower, and 5 different saunas. Can’t be beat.
Had a great time here! $30 buys you access to 2 soaking tubs, cold plunge, steam and dry sauna, as well as 5 or so specialty saunas in the coed area. Food, spa treatments, and beauty supplies available for more. They give you a little bracelet to wear with your locker number that can be used for any additional purchases. Really lovely community environment in the women’s section. A bit busy on the weekends. $4 valet parking outside.
For single woman, you should be careful because there is a chance that you be harassed by other man in common area. 100% true my friend’s experience. The place overall is good.
First time at Wi Spa and first time at a Korean spa...went late night with a friend to celebrate on Mothers Day. After checking in and receiving a t-shirt, slippers, and shorts for the communal areas, and getting acclimated with all the amenities to enjoy, I delved right in. From the female only floor with various hot soaking pools, including a cold plunge, and showers, it was then onto the communal floor. After a delicious spicy tuna bowl (huge) in the restaurant, we checked out the various saunas (bulgama: very hot, salt, clay, jade, and ice), and felt all our stress and tension melt away. What a gem in DTLA! Its a big place, but feels homey as its an all ages spa. Day pass $30, valet parking $4, open 24/7.
Always a fantastic experience! Excellent value too. I like to start in the dry saunas upstairs and work up a sweat before showering and hopping in the tubs to soak. The massage I got once was pricey but amazing. Havent tried the body scrub yet but I hear good things. If you get hungry theres even a restaurant with quality food and snacks you just put on your tab and pay for when you leave! Super convenient and feels deluxe. I love the rooftop lounge for making phone calls or socializing too. Highly recommend this spot. Do yourself a favor and set several hours aside to enjoy it!
This place is a dream come true! For just $30, you get access to everything including valet parking for $4, a gym, separate spas with towels and products, a kids center, a cafe, books, an ice sauna, and a restaurant with quality food. The experience is always fantastic, luxurious, and clean. Highly recommend setting aside several hours to fully enjoy it!
This was the perfect unwind and rejuvenating experience after a 7 day roadtrip for me. I got the acupressure and Swedish combo massage with Huh and it was incredible! She worked away my sore muscles and tension and I feel like a new woman.Facility was clean and the various sauna rooms were comfortable. I wish I had realized they had WiFi before I got there. I would have brought my phone and earbuds and stayed even longer lounging around. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because there were several women with their cell phones out in the naked required pools area for women and this freaked me out. I’ve been to Korean spas in Washington and onsens in Japan and no cell phones are ever allowed out in the naked required areas. I wish they would not allow electronics of any kind in the areas where people are not allowed to wear clothing.
Love Korean spas in general, and have been to WiSpa several times because my body needs it (am here right now), but please:1. Create and *enforce* rules about cell phone use and NOISE. Cellphones should be on silent, and if watching a movie or listening to music, people MUST wear headphones. This is the second time Ive been here where someone was watching an ACTION MOVIE at FULL VOLUME.In general, this place is *extremely* loud. I brought ear plugs and noise-cancelling headphones this time, but as this is a spa...it should be a tranquil place. I used to live in Irvine and would go to I-spa every week. They asked guests to keep their voices low. Youd occasionally get college kids from UCI who were too chatty, but for the most part it was very peaceful, and NO ONE had the volume on their phone up. Ever. Here? Its constant.2. Add a vegetarian option to the late-night menu. I didnt realize that the menu would change after a certain time, and went to get miso soup...only to be told that there were only three food options...all meat. Please add miso, or some other simple *vegetarian* item to the late-night menu. So hungry. Was planning to stay overnight, but cant now.3. Update the wet areas. Ceiling falling down, everything looks dingy and old. Cleaning staff are constsntly doing their thing, but it just feels yucky in the wet area. Needs a remodel.4. When you remodel the wet area, remodel the lockers, too. It is a TIGHT fit. Youre buttcheek to buttcheek with everyone in there, all the time, no matter how slim you or they are.5. For the love of god, do something about the moldy smell in the cold room. Ispa does not have this issue.

I have been here a couple of times before. Ive had good customer service. But this last time I came, the service was not the same as we checked in. The staff in the reception was not very welcoming nor attentive to us. No eye contact. No warm welcome. Laughing and joking with each other as if were not standing in front of them. The young girls need a bit more professional customer training to be in the front reception for the future. And it wasnt just me that felt that unprofessional energy checking into the spa.
The silky massage was kinda gross and overpriced at $165. The place does not seem very clean, the jacuzzis looked cloudy so I did not get in and they ran out of robes!
I had a brown sugar scrub massage all over my body, and face pack, hair pack. The massage was very thorough, and my hair smelled great for about 3 days all the time. Thank you.
Unfortunately the relaxing experience is ruined by big screen televisions playing infomercials in every room - you cant even go into a sauna without another TV on annoying the heck out of your experience. I tried to figure out a way to just turn it off, but could not find any power buttons. I could never relax with all that nonsense cluttering my mind. I will not return as a result - unless the TVs can be turned off.
A great place to stay the night after a concert/clubbing. Its a little more expensive than a hostel these days, but you definitely get what you pay for. Always glad to stay here.
I have been this place many times. I love this place for my relaxation. Today I noticed something improved. All three front desk workers (American) are much more friendly than before. A few months ago, there were used to have three Asian (Korean American)workers were not friendly at all.
Laundry people stole 40 dollars from me on my birthday I wanted to get a massage there and didn’t know it’s a cashless place so I put one hundred dollars in the short pocket so I could get a massage with it but I accidentally put the shorts in the laundry when I reported the lady at the desk was rude to me she was able to give only 60 dollars back and I told her i was missing 40 and she told me how does she know Im not lying clearly I wasn’t lying to began with very disappointed about how she treated me and how the staff steals peoples money it was my first time there so I didn’t know it was cashless I just thought the band was for the lockers disappointed I couldn’t get my birthday massage I had to save up that money just for them to take it and basically call me a liar stealing from out of a customers pocket which took money out of the establishment pockets as well is crazy work that’s why I went for the massage so my services wasn’t fulfilled I payed for parking, entrance for me and my friend, and food and got my money stolen that’s saddening
The price for all the amenities is phenomenal. Nothing compares. Just 30$ gives you access to a hot tub, cold tub, warm tub, several saunas, access to Korean beauty supply and the most delicious ginger tea you can ever have in the Cafe area. I love coming here quarterly. Bring a laptop and get some work done or a book or a friend and relax! The only downside if you want to come with a friend is there are gendered sections (i.e. women and male - separately) where you should be totally nude. There are co ed sections with saunas. They provide you with shorts and a shirt.
BEWARE OF BRINGING YOUR THINGS to WI SPA. Me and my friend visited WiSpa here overnight and had our spa stuff in a luggage put in Wi spa locker and storage room they kept the extra bags or luggage in. I saw what I thought was a regular bug on my luggage as it was being held in the room, but never saw a bed bug personally to know that was what was on my luggage. I thought it was a regular bug and plucked it off. Well now weeks later I am having to have very expensive regular exterminator treatments for bed bugs in my home first time in my life having to experience this horrific situation thanks to Wi Spa and I informed them and they of course deny it was a bed bug! How maddening, time consuming, and expensive this whole ordeal was. I regret going to Wi Spa :-(
Let me tell you!!! If you have an opportunity to go to Wi Spa, honey do it!!! My lil lady Susan scrubbed me up like I was a new born she found in the wilderness!! Lol, it was profound! I was like Momma!? It reset my mood and my spirit! I absolutely loved it, and will be back!!
Spa is beautiful and priced very well. In terms of Korean spas, lacked amenities. Body scrub was a solid 10/10. You look at almost any list of top rated Korean spas and Wi spa is at the top… we would not rate it in the top 5 having been to many of them across the us. Worth the trip if in town and need a relaxing afternoon.
First time experiencing a Korean Spa and it was awesome! There’s just so many options to relax and hang out. Bonus that it’s super family friendly with the kids play area and set of clothes for them. I can’t wait to bring my kids next time.
Rated 4.5 stars.Clean, mostly quiet. Great accupressure massage. Staff speak adequate English.Parking at the side lot, free. The big guy at the front in the morning was very helpful. No good coffee or Western food though. Can consider mouth wash and add aroma scent. Can consider adding more deluxe services with a surcharge. Bring your flip flops better than the flimsy ones provided. A great choice.
Wi Spa quite honestly is the refactoring standard to Korean Spas. During the week days its quiet. Food is good, the amenities are good. It was my first korean spa Ive been to.
I love this place. Attended parking ,very clean, courteous, competent, professional staff and its huge .Its very popular and busy every time Ive been. But because of its size, it never feels any less than spaciously comfortable. Men and women have their own separate facilities to attend to their personal needs. But the rest of the spa is completely co-ed.Ive enjoyed luxury spas all over the world. There have been facilities more opulent in countless ways. But Wi is without question one of the nicest, cleanest, best maintained facilities you are going to find anywhere, stateside. They are also open until 5:00 a.m.Christon
Great experience, highly recommend.Would want to try the facial and massage experience, but just based on different sauna rooms, would definitely recommend.
I have to say, I went on a Friday evening and it was a pretty bad experience. The place was absolutely packed, the common area was loud and crowded. There were kids running around in the common area and into the dry saunas and really aggravating people. The parents were there and didnt care. The eating area was so full that people were eating food in the jimjilbang.I thought maybe my spa experience would be better as I had booked a combination acupressure and Swedish massage. The acupressure was absolutely incredible, but when we switched to the Swedish massage, she ran her hands quick and chaotically over my body, and not slow and sensually like Swedish should be. Disappointing for the price.Maybe weekdays would be better, but I have a feeling this place being open 24 hours invites people to treat it as a social gathering rather than a peaceful, rejuvenating experience. There are much better Korean spas around (iSpa and Irvine is lovely!)
Very relaxing and nice. I got the sugar and buff and it was amazing! I think thats the best deal. Everything is really clean and I feel really relax there. The coed room is fun to check out and a great place to nap as well. All the information is on their website and it was very clear. The staff workers are very friendly and helpful.
Wow what can I say about this place. Let me start by saying free parking for customers, amazing service with helpful employees especially it being my first but not last visit. For 25 dollars you get so many services like 3 Jacuzzis, dry and steam sauna, showers , clay, salt , jade and another saunas theres even a restaurant there. Has an amazingly terrace its just complete bliss. If you even have a lay over in LA dont get a hostel room just come to WI spa they have you covered.
Pretty neat spa! Its 45 dollars for entry free and its open 24/7! There is a strictly gendered zone and a co-ed zone.Note: it is expected of you to be naked at the women only/men only zones. They provide the necessities such as towels, toothbrush/paste, hairdryers for you.In the co-ed zone, you wear the clothes the provide which includes a shirt, pant and sandals. There are about 4-5 sauna rooms you can enter, my personal favorite is the sea salt one! They even have a food area in case you get hungry. I had a minor inconvenience - they had me wait for my food for quite a some time, while my friends all had gotten their food and were halfway done! There is also the rooftop area where you can nap or do work. Its pretty cute!
It is what it isFood is good but really expensive.Very crowded, got sick right after with the worst sneeze (and I never get sick). It got super pricey so the whole experience like 70-100$Is it worth it? I wish there is other options in LA
Had the most unfortunate time today at Wi Spa Los Angeles. Do not trust the Valet in any shape or form. I dropped my car off today to the manager whose name was David to park while I spent a couple hours at the facilities only to come back to find my aux cord missing from the vehicle. When I confronted them about the missing aux chord they proceeded to gaslight me into saying that maybe I lost it, when in fact I used that same aux chord to get directions to the spa. I then went and asked the Wi Spa management for assistance which they were most unhelpful in providing me with an invalid number to the valet’s customer service and essentially gaslighted me on the phone saying that because I can’t provide any proof for my aux chord missing that there was nothing that they can do. Wi Spa negligent in the vendors that they employ and I urge people to find better spas to spend their money with in Los Angeles.
Nice and relaxing experience. There are 2 hot pools 1 is hot and the other very hot. Also a small cold plunge pool and lots of various saunas and 1 or 2 steam rooms. Men and women are seperated - because this spa has a no clothing policy in the pool area. Upstairs is a large room with various saunas and lots of room to lay around and relax on the heated floor. When you check in you get a wrist device that is linked to your credit card which you use for the small restaurant. $30 gets you in the door and gives access to all Ive mentioned. They also offer all types of body massages and mani/pedies at an additional charge. Once you are finished for the day you go back to the pool area and shower. A great deal for a half day of pampering your body and tuning mental health.
Lovely place and enjoyed it. BUT there should be more personnel a) to help clients know how to navigate the place, and b) even more important! to check on people who might fall asleep. Someone had fallen asleep and was snoring in the clay room, but there was no one to tell. No one to explain how to use the rollers, or the massage chairs, etc., etc.
An Asian spot. Didnt like that they have thier staff members all in your way stairing and a little rude. Maybe the morning is better!
This place was awesome. We came here for a bachelorette party weekend and it was a perfect bonding place. No secrets here anymore! You get over it fast and it is quite liberating. We had a great time.Loved all the areas to go. They had a womans, mens, and co-ed area. They even had a delicious eatery for food and drinks, with seating at regular tables or floor tables. They provided a robe, sandles, slippers, shirt and shirts for the co-ed area, soap/shamp/cond, lotion, toothbrush, and towels. They provide lockers and the wrist key you wear also allows you to buy food in the food court by charging it to your account. In the womans spa you had ranging hot tub temperatures to a very cold tub. They had a dry and stream sauna. You are naked. The mens spa area I am sure was the same. The co-ed area has the ice room, 200 degree sauna, salt sauna, clay sauna, and jade sauna. Then massage chairs, mats for lounging, and where the food court is. The food was great! There is also a store to buy self care products.Definitely need to give out a try. I am definately coming back next time I am in town. The only thing that was interesting was checking out the people were rude. Just weird.
This was my first time at this type of spa. It was great. The staff were lovely. The facilities seemed clean and well maintained. Of course the steam rooms and bathing area are not for the modest. The co-Ed area you must wear the shorts and shirt provided. I usually wear 2x or 3x the shorts were just fine. Short a little tight but managed. The food was very good. And I loved the rooftop terrace.
Its an okay experience not a lot of guidance on where to go or what you can do. A lot of unclear info. People at the counter seem to extend their help if youre the preferred race that they themselves only want to help.
Very relaxing place to unwind and rejuvenate. Parking is free and sometimes valet.Service is excellent and have many staff working around the clock. They give u shorts, thin slippers and a shirt to borrow.Spa, Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and cold pool are separate for men and women. All excellent rooms and working well. In the shower there is complimentary toothpaste and shaving to use.The sleeping and tv, reclining chairs room is quite and relaxing, only issue is the gym room right next door and while I was trying to sleep I heard someone dropping the weights which made lots of noise.Upstairs are the salt, rocks, ice room and all healing rooms. They have computers and books to read. On the rooftop is really relaxing with couches and fireplaces. They have massage services. A small restaurant serving Chinese food of course, snacks, drinks and fresh juices.**Two main issues I had was the noise coming from the gym room and that some parents brought their 2 year old kids to the mens room and I couldnt relax when I hear the child crying and screaming(I came late evening 7 pm so idk why a child was there...😐).All In all the services and what they offer is excellent for just $25.Thumbs up for my long and great review. 👍🏻☺
The customer service was terrible. I was checking in, and I had my phone in my hand, and the receptionist asked me why I was recording her. I asked her why I would want your face on my phone. I dont even know you. After that, she was completely rude.
Wonderful experience. Everywhere looked clean. The crew and guests were respectful. Lots of amenities. The instructions were fairly clear. Good Wifi for the business clients, dont try to stream anything though. One disappointment I had was the food and its costs. It tasted homemade and generic, like it was trying to please all tastes and certainly not meeting mine who has a more adventurous palette. Ive had much better in Koreatown for a far better price.
Very disappointed. I’ve been coming here for years and most every dry sauna was not operating correctly. The men’s dry sauna never got above 140. Upstairs all saunas were never above 105, salt room completely closed and the bulgama was never above 198. When I let staff know my disappointment upon leaving they said no one else had complained but they’d make sure to tell the manager. :/
The 120 min acupressure massage was amazing! Definitely recommend that service. Tips are requested to be cash and well deserved. The price for it was in line with other spas. The womens area on a Sat did get busy in the afternoon so they ran out of robes and soap/shampoo regularly. There were always people around cleaning and restocking. The hot tubs looked ok as far as cleanliness.I enjoyed the different saunas and the restaurant had good options. The co-ed space was busy with quite a few families. It is easy to spend the day there. Overall, definitely recommend.
I had never done anything like this before. To think you can get an authentic Korean cultural experience in the heart of LA amazes me. I had a great time escaping from city life here. All facilities were extremely clean, staff were extremely friendly and accomodating and the food was good too. To think its all 24-hour too?! Would definitely recommend
Very nice sleeping area called common area. To for has outdoor patio for more sleeping activities, food is great with low prices.
Not the cleanest. Too busy on the weekends/ holidays. Theres some rude people who sit on top of the mats. Hard to enjoy the spa aspect when so many people are going in and out of the spa rooms, noisy! Different from when I went there 11+ years ago.
Someone must have made an Instagram post... We tried to go here on a Sunday afternoon and just spent 40 minutes waiting in lines. There was a line to get in the building, there was a line in the building, and there was a line to get to the valet. Nothing like we have experienced before. Its generally a very mellow experience. We were about to go in and decided against it after the very overwhelmed receptionist started to list all the things that were out of order and explained there might be lines to get into the pools and wet saunas...It could have been the day and time, but the vibe was very different when Ive come by over the years. The clientele was more uh, flashy and the energy was very chaotic and felt disorganized.
Nice and clean just don’t bring cash it will be stolen out of your locker. Have had this happen serval times to know
This place sucked at explaining that massage service has to be paid with cash or debit card. Even though they put a hold on your credit card. Employees and website suck at explaining the etiquette of the spa.Besides that, service was great and the place is very clean.
I used to come here twice a year, but last weekend might be my last time. It was overly crowded, and the Salt sauna smelled like urine, it was so strong I didnt bother sitting in there. The spa was dirty. Girls wearing their hair down and leaving clumps of hair on the ground near the hot tubs. The hot and warm tubs were the same temp, but the hot tub water was a yellowish/brown color and the water level was kinda low. I wanted to treat myself to a nice spa experience and I felt gross with the dirty spa and pee in the sauna, so disappointed with this experience. Not worth $110
Lots to do here. Mens sauna has hot pools and cold pool as well as steam and dry sauna. I recommend the body scrub for $60 plus tip. The restaurant has good Korean food but not cheap. The public areas are good for relaxing with family members. I watch football games on the big screens.
It was not the most tranquil experience from Korean saunas. It was relatively clean considering the number of people in the wet sauna. There were only four hot dry sauna rooms - that’s where you sweat and enjoy the sauna experience - on the third floor in the entire building, that was not enough to accommodate that many people!
Just left that place extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to a relaxing massage and sauna nevertheless the only person that was friendly was the valet gentleman. Walking into the establishment every eyes was on me like I did not belong there. I form the line as I approached the counter the lady did not greet me much less look at me she as we what I wanted I told her a acupuncture and massage she told me it was 8:57pm the last appointment was at 9:00pm I told her ok I’ll 2 she told me it was to late to do any service but can pay 30.00 to used the sauna. I express to her that I did not see that information online. I told her that I wouldn’t be needing they services and I left the vibe was really off I just a gut feeling that service was denied because of my ethnicity.
I have been going for the past three years. On the latest trip, i have to say the women’s sauna is missing a lot of faucets, or unclean and falling apart. Water tower out of service. The sauna tiles are not cleaned everything is looking grubbier every year…just three years ago it was much cleaner, well maintained. I went in the evening on weekday and it is now full of non-Koreans who are so chatty in the saunas chatting the whole time so it’s hard to relax. It’s so noisy and they wear outside clothes in the sauna (like outside shoes, socks, bathing suits and hats). Like if you’re not going to follow the rules go somewhere else… they don’t enforce any rules. I didn’t leave feeling relaxed. I felt stressed and grossed out. Also phones should not be allowed. They should stay in lockers. Ppl take photos inside the change rooms. Play videos etc. super annoying. Koreans just do not do this at the jimjilbang..The food is still very good, but I won’t be going back anymore unless they clean up the business.
It’s a fun relaxing place. the food court makes it better. service is good, pricing is average.this place can be loud. it’s mainstream, it’s crowded.the women’s steam sauna room smells like sewer 🤢 i was so grossed out. 2 stars for that.
Very clean smells so good they have woman only sauna in the woman areaAnd 4 different sauna in commom area they have restaurants rooftop and gymThe buff is always good ! I love the facilities! I will definitely be back !
It was smaller than I was expecting: two saunas (steam and dry), three tubs (hot, warm, and ice) and five heart rooms (bulgama, salt, jade, clay, and ice). The clay room will make you dirty after lying in the balls. Its also slippery and you might fall down, so watch out. Theres a lot of acupressure, body treatments, skin care, manicure, and waving options. The towel was very scratchy. I really liked the dokk mandu guk, but my moms kimchi fried rice wasnt that good and she found a hair in it. Also, Im not sure how clean all the mats and pillows are.
I didn’t expect to like this place as much as i did. there’s a $30 entrance fee and you get access to the cold plunge and the hot tub in the womens lockers. they have shampoo and body wash alongside a hair dryer and a vanity to clean yourself up. in the co ed area upstairs you have access to 4 saunas. my favorite one was the jade room. i really enjoyed the energy in there and it was good for a self care/mental health day.
Wow! I have read about the Korean spa experience but experiencing it was definitely a memorable experience. This place is awesome. Checking in you are greeted by a helpful and friendly staff, it was my first visit and they explained all the ins and outs of the process. The locker room is huge and it leads to the gender separated wet areas. Hot tubs, showers hot and dry saunas. On the top floor there is a great rooftop deck and the third floor is filled with different rooms and a restaurant. I stayed overnight here to get the full experience of a warm sleeping room and it was great. Only reason I’m giving it four stars and not five is the temperature of the steam room and the “warm tub” they are both painfully hot. Aside from those two things I was really impressed and can’t wait to return.
I like it, we used the gym with access included, had a good time at the hot rooms and roof top, and my dumb @_$ dropped the food at the dining area, they replaced it no questions asked, i gotta give them thanks for that, left a tip for the kitchen. Over all good place to chill and spend some time, Dont over do it, bad for your health!
Have been many times but most recently came with a group of friends. Apart from running into an extremely unfriendly worker in the bath house area we loved going to the cafe to have ginger tea (the udon soup is my fav!) and all the different saunas too.
Really cool experience! But you gotta be comfortable being stark naked in front of other people—no clothing is allowed in the gender separated areas. They give you a shirt + shorts that you’re required to wear in the co-ed areas. They will also give you a towel when you enter. Do not lose the towel! It is the biggest towel you will get the entire time you’re there. All the other towels are washcloth sized. And make sure you snag a robe on your way in because sometimes they run out. There’s a $30 entrance fee unless you book a service that’s at least $160. They’re open 24/7 and you can enjoy the spa before or after any services you book so long as you enter after 4 AM.I did the acupressure + Swedish combo massage and it was fantastic. Bring cash to tip your masseuse because some of them don’t have Venmo.Overall everything was in good condition. The only things that needed some attention in the women’s area were the hot tub (it was a little bit grimy) and the steam sauna (it smelled mildewy). But honestly don’t let that deter you—everything else was super clean.I would totally come back and spend a day chilling there. When we left, I saw some students spreading out homework and laptops on tables. Seems like a great way to pamper yourself while studying.
My boss recommended I come here after I hadnt had a day off in weeks. It was so great and really helped me come back to life. The spas refreshed my brain and almost felt halucigenic. My favorite was bopping between the hot and cold tub. Moms should bring their daughters here too because I think its a great lesson on body positivity. I want to go back and try the food and the roof.
Heres the deal girlies: get a day spa pass for $30, the value is hard to beat. Hit all the dry saunas, spa/shower area and then get a mango juice so you dont pass out. Loved the restaurant, tteokbokki was huge and spicy. The gift shop has all the viral kbeauty faves and some deeper cuts. The pricing wasnt that competitive, but its perf for sampling to see if you like it. Just make sure to ask the clerk to help with samples. Pro tip: Valet was so overwhelmed when we tried to leave, cars were beyond quadruple parked. So do street parking if youre there at a busy time.
Awesomeness. Naked everywhere. Men and women are separated for all nakedness. Very nice restaurant. I was there all day as a solo traveling female. The first round of women were not welcoming or friendly AT ALL. ( Morning)The 2nd group of ladies were SO nice and they were open to talk with me. I will return when I come back from my travels, I will not let a group of women determine where I go.
I tried Korean style spa first time here. First cleanness, I think their towels, shirts and shorts are cleaned thoroughly. Safety, I think there is a big problem with safety here, both in gender and health safety. They don’t have designated employees to block people of opposite sex entering bath area. Bath area is full of nude people. I saw two girls accidentally trying to enter men’s area and one man trying to enter an elevator which is for women only. Both were stopped by bystanders. There was one Asian man with pony tail in mixed area. He looks female too. I didn’t realize that he is a male until I saw his Tshirt was white. Women wears yellow T-shirts. Next health safety, I saw one lady had heat stroke after sauna. They had to call ambulance. There are few rooms with sauna. One had temperature as high as 202 F. Water boiling temperature is 212. They don’t have any employee watching those rooms. This means no one checks on condition of customers inside. If a customer passes out inside one sauna room, most customers would not know how long s/he had been in there. S/he might die inside. I would assume they have to call ambulance few times a week. Anyway, I hope management can provide better safety measures to this place.
Great rooftop terrace! Visiting from back east and this was more affordable and nicer than king spa in NJ.
Relaxing, spacious and casual. Came here mid day and it was pretty empty. Not spotless but didn’t bother me like other reviewers and many nice amenities. Worth the price of admission for the clay and salt sauna alone. Like an adult self care ball pit!
The best Korean spa I have ever been to in the states. Food was ok but overall pretty nice
Best Korean spa in LA. For $30 a person you get to spend time in the jimjilbang, the spa area, the gym and a play area with arcade games. There’s also a restaurant if you get hungry. The facility is really clean and well maintained. I recommend coming when it’s not so busy though to get the best experience. We stayed for about three hours and also used the gym. The arcade games and massage chairs were a great highlight as well. Will def be back
Obsessed with this place. Has cold plunge, multiple temperatures of hot tubs, multiple types and temperatures of saunas, and steam rooms - everything I could want in a bathhouse/spa. Everything was super clean. I can’t wait to come back.
It’s relatively clean and kept well but they do not do a good job making sure people follow the rules. As much as I appreciate the diversity of people that visit a Korean spa it is sad to see that some people do not follow the rules that are clearly posted in the facility. There were multiple people wearing sandals inside the bath area and some were going into the hot tub with their shorts on which is not very sanitary. In the jjimjibang area there were people who brought the food outside of the restaurant as well. It is the customers responsibility to read the signs and follow the rules but the spa should also enforce the rules when they are broken for a more pleasant experience for other guests.
Not so clean at ALL and the food wasn’t good. Jewju in Atlanta is MUCH better. Was slightly upset
What a cool spa! The spa includes massages, baths, acupuncture, scrubs, saunas, a simple restaurant and rooftop. Id say this has the most variety of any spa Ive been to. Very relaxing and affordable.I did the scrub. It was very rough but days later my skin still feels like my mother just birthed me. Would recommend.
Wow! I had a very early flight on my last day in la and felt paying $200+ for a hotel room was such a rip off. Ended up coming here and spending the entire evening taking naps in the co-ed area, sitting in the hot tub, using the many different saunas, sitting in the massage chair, etc. Very lively place. As a plus size woman I was so worried about coming here but they had 2x shirts and shorts, and many others who were plus size were at the spa.
They stole 85 dollars from my wallet that was in the locked closet. Be careful with your belongings! There are several records of people who were stolen in this place
Fantastik experience, spa, and amenities are so worth it. Full body scrub phenomenal!
Throughout years it has lost its tranquil environment where we used to go and enjoy the meaningful of spa. It has gotten very commercialized and it seems like management doesn’t care. It’s over capacity and very loud at the sauna’s. Treatment was done very quickly, roughly and non personalized level. I would not recommend going.
Its so refreshing to go. Suggestion: bring your own products (mask, shampoo, conditioner...etc)There is food, but it closes at 10pm . Its korean food. Super tasty! There is slushy, tea (hot and ice)There is a common area and a gender separation sauna and hot tub
I visited my daughter over the thanksgiving holiday and decided to have a spa day. The place was clean and I didn’t wait long after my appointment time for them to begin the body scrub and massage. The treatment was wonderful. I highly recommend Wi Spa and will return during my next visit to California.
Much better than Spa Palace. The attendants are great and facilities are quite decent. There is room for improvement. TV’s in saunas are not necessary and detract from experience. Maybe use them for aesthetics?? I don’t want to see sports center with audio in the sauna; commercials are extra awful. The customer base can be quite rude. Please don’t be one of these customers. Mind your voices and appreciate the facilities.
Nudity is required for the gender specific areas.. and they give you a uniform you have to wear in common areas. Parking is $4 cash only.I like that they give a watch that opens your locker and you can pay with it.Overall was a cool experience, I love the clay room and everything. But my skin had a really bad reaction that I noticed when I was leaving so I won’t come back. Face and chest broke out..
I really wish they kept the original rules of engagement here. It used to be so nice. I think it’s all of the non-Korean women who come here but it’s so dirty now because women don’t take their shoes off before entering the spa, they don’t respect the space or the Korean elders who come. So much entitlement. If you want a white lady spa, go to Burke Williams. But please don’t bring your culture and entitlement to obliterate this one.The management has also added to the ruin of this once great place. The parking lot is now for people who want to pay $4 or they put you in the far back (not great for anyone with a disability), they’ve removed all of the nice things from the women’s spa, no more brushes, cream/lotion, etc.The lockers are dirty, the floors are dirty, and many of the sitting showers are broken.
What a lovely place! It was so nice my friends and I had a great time there 😊
Mixed feelings.Left my car with Valet, pretty cheap compared to rest of LA (4$) I had left a glass starbucks bottle in the car with a lot of coffee left inside. When I got my car back all the coffee was all gone? Weird? Maybe throw away the evidence when you drink my coffee next time, valet 😂A lot of the sit down showers in the womens sauna were broken. Not a lot of long or big towels in case you are the modest type.A lot of rude people that would take your slippers when you are sitting in one of the saunas in the coed area or just rude in general not respecting your space or being very loud.A lot of people walking without their slippers which seems unsanitary or children unsupervised and running aroundThe food was also very expensive. An alright first experience for a US spa10/10 recommend the spas in japan instead lol
Ive been to many Korean bathhouses and this one was disappointing. To be fair, Ill start with the positives, because there were several. The $30 entry for all-day is definitely a good deal, and they waive that with a $150+ service. The womens changing rooms were clean and modern, and I appreciated the large vanity area for getting ready after youre done. It also had a nicely stocked little skin care store with solid brand name options. The steam room in the womens baths and the dry saunas in the jjimjilbang were spacious. They have both a clay ball room and a salt rock room, which are both really fun. Wifi was clearly posted and worked well. It was too cold out to try their rooftop deck but it looked trendy and cool, and Im sure the view was nice. However, I generally felt a lack of cleanliness and overall shabbiness. The womens baths had about half their showers out of order with missing faucet heads or handles - no signs or anything to warn you, people were confused - and the baths themselves seemed rather grimy. The water didnt run very clean and the second bath had foam/bubbles in it. There were used towels scattered all over the baths, and everything just generally looked like it needed a deep scrubbing clean, some refreshed paint, and maybe some spackle. My partner said the mens baths were similar. The jjimjilbang was on the small side and it got packed really quickly. The food from the kitchen was mediocre and the prices were incredibly high - it definitely wasnt as tasty or large a portion to warrant such prices. I left feeling disappointed that I had eaten there when instead I could have gone to a restaurant in K-town that was tastier and cheaper.Overall for the hype this place gets, I was let down.
This place is great exceptionally clean professional staff excellent services I would recommend it to anyone that wants a pleasant spa experience for a great price
Had such a lovely time here can’t wait to go back! Beautiful place you can spend a whole day. Nap, saunas, jacuzzi’s hang out. Clean, calm environment. They were super relaxed about my massage schedule change, and the food was great too!
Great Korean spa experience. Regular admission was $25 with no time limit. The main spa experience has a locker area for shoes, a main locker room to change, a bath are consisting of a hot tub, a really hot tub, a cold tub, a sauna, and a steam room, and the option to get a body scrub (added fee). Once clean, you can change into the provided garments and spend time in the quiet area or the jimjilbang - which has several additional mixed-gender sauna rooms. The jimjilbang area has the option to purchase food. I recommend the shaved ice with fruit ($6)!
Wonderful experience. The rooms were unique and relaxing. The rice punch was sweet and kept me hydrated through all the sweating. The veggie dumpling soup was also delicious.
Really gone down hill since i last visited here. People doing weird stuff in the baths, rules not followed.
I used to love coming here! Came back for the first time in five years, with a friend visiting from out of town. $30 per person which is a really good deal, but many of the saunas upstairs as well as the roof terrace are not in great condition and need a bit of a remodel. It doesn’t seem like anything has been updated and I’m not sure I’ll be back but great memories here with friends over the years! If it was only the restaurant, I’d give it a solid 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - great portions and reasonable prices, super delicious!
Went here for my anniversary. Didnt really enjoy it. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. Facilities are not what i expected. Im used to spas like Resort World and Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas or Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. This one is not dirty, but its not pristine like the aforementioned hotels. Its different and maybe not my style.
If youre looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, look no further than this Korean spa. I recently visited and had an amazing time - I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique spa experience. One thing to note is that the mens and womens areas are separate and fully nude, which may not be everyones cup of tea, but I found it to be very freeing and comfortable. The mens area was spotless and had everything I needed, including showers, two hot plunges, and one cold plunge that was incredibly refreshing. The eucalyptus steam room with a jade ceiling and the dry sauna were also fantastic.Upstairs, there is a cafe where I grabbed a delicious fresh smoothie. The coed rooms upstairs were also enjoyable, although I did notice a slight smell of body odor in some of the rooms. However, given the additional props and equipment in these rooms, I can understand that it might be difficult to keep them completely scent-free. Its worth noting that clothing is required upstairs, but its provided to you at check-in.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this Korean spa. I especially enjoyed lounging on the rooftop deck and soaking up some sunshine. The valet parking is also cheap, which makes it easy to spend an entire day here if you want. I highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for a unique and rejuvenating experience.
Love coming here when I visit LA. Very well priced and very clean. I like the traditional Korean Scrub and massage. It’s 60 minutes long and for me pure bliss. The practitioners know what they are doing and are very efficient. This isn’t your regular spa experience but I prefer it. One feels so smooth and clean afterwards. The restaurant is very nice. Really everything is perfect. The only thing I didn’t love is that the rooftop deck is separated into smoking and non smoking so of course cigarette smoke does come into non smoking area.
Hidden gem became more popular but if u do at the slow times (early AM), and bring ear buds, this is heaven. Well worth the price, even over night fee if you really enjoy k-spas like I do. Has an upgraded cafe menu and pretty good food. Plenty of water stations to stay hydrated. Great PG place for open minded ppl and families. When Ive brought friends for the first time, biggest piece of advise, dont worry about other ppl, do you and zen out 😇 Book services in advance if ur interested. Perfect place for mind, body and soul renewal!
